If you havent been here lately its completely redone. New floors, lighting and patio. Extremely helpful staff were so nice.

Love the updated interior. This local neighborhood, cash only bar, is a great place for a quick beverage.

This place is such a hidden gem. I absolutely love this place. Generally quiet, nobody starts drama, drinks are INSANELY cheap, there is pool, darts, etc. If you like dives, and peaceful ones at that, this place is perfect!Just remember, this is a CASH only bar. Dont bring your card expecting to open a tab on it.And while you are there, have a Grape Mind Eraser. They are delicious.

Cash only bar. The Bongo has a nice atmosphere and friendly locals. A little out of the way, so not a party bar, just a good chill place to relax with a beer or cocktail and enjoy time with friends. They also have a number of TVs, so its a good bar to watch a game as well. Didnt try any food

Ive been to the Bongo several times, usually when the VFW is unexpectedly cosed...always have had a great time there!! Bartenders are super friendly and efficient!! Regulars are always welcoming and easy to get to know, even if youre a stranger. Cheap drinks, fun atmosphere, fun football day when my regular place is unpredictable. Will go back, often!! I dont know how this place stays in business but Im glad it does. Everytime I walk in, theres like 10 people total. Including the awesome staff. Good thing 9 out of those 10 are usually awesome people. Cheap drinks, good jukebox and always plenty of space to stretch and not feel claustrophobic. Bring cash though, No cards accepted.

Awesome spot for a cheap drink. This bar is small and cozy. Low light environment with regular folks. I was the new guy the night I stopped for a drink but everyone made me feel welcomed.

This has been my watering hole for over 20 years. Best place to get a stein, sit and chill. The wild crowd will show up at any given moment, but for the most part, you wont find a better place to rest your dogs after work.The prices....cant be beat

***Cash Only***I am a fan of the Bongo Lounge. If you are looking for a spot to grab a cheap drink, this is it. The Beer is cold and the Liqour selection is sufficient. Keep in mind this is a Regulars type bar, so the patrons will typically wonder who you are. However I have never found any of them to be rude. The wait staff runs this place on point and will get you a drink quick. Dont forget your cash!

Friendly dive bar in an area that doesnt have very many bars. The staff and the regulars are fun and friendly. Plenty of draft beer options to satisfy most palettes and they serve liquor as well. Cheers!

Love the bongo! The drinks are cheap, the bar is dark, the music isnt too loud, and theres always space to sit. Theres only one bartender at a time, it seems, so it can be difficult if its kind of busy. This bar might be the closest thing to Cheers youre gonna find in Salt Lake (if you go there enough for them to learn your name). Make sure you bring cash, because its a cash-only establishment.

This is my favorite hide away red light bar! Everything is cheap and there are never any specials because it is all cheap. Staff is always a great help to soak up your verbal vomit.

The best kept secret in the valley. Theres nothing flashy or special about this place at all. Its a neighborhood bar. You can actually have a conversation, meet nice locals and it wont cost you much. Bring cash!!!

I dropped in on a Monday evening tired, thirsty and it took awhile for the bartender to take my order. He says that it was cash only, I said no worries and ordered a stein of bud and took a seat off by myself. There were several patrons and they were listening to music and one of them would ask what song each of them wanted played and this made everyone feel relaxed and it turned out to be a good time at Bongos lounge. If you dont believe me then check it out for yourself.

Havent been in here for years, they dont have a kitchen anymore, but there are still a cash only business! Serious old school joint! Love it

Cash only with no signs stating that it doesnt accept card. Its 2019 what place doesnt take visa?. The waitress was rather rude to me and my date.
