OYO Hotel San Antonio Lackland near Seaworld

I was going to stay at this hotel to go to SeaWorld with my extended family, but as we were going to our rooms a drunk maintenance worker told us not to leave any items in our room because the staff likes to steal things out of the room. When I complained to the front desk, he told me this man didnt even work for them, even though I saw him walk behind the counter, talk to the clerk, and be handed room keys while I was waiting to get checked in. So if he doesnt work there, he clearly has the ability to break into my room.Demanded a refund, clerk refused because I used Priceline, then refused to take notes even though I told him I needed him to note it down. Priceline refused to give me a refund because the hotel lied and said I didnt even tell them I was leaving, because there were no notes indicating that there had been a problem. It was really outrageous. We have been engaged in a protracted fight just to get a refund, because the manager outright refuses to acknowledge any fault.Im not normally a finnicky person, but I dont know how I could have someone say that in front of my wife, small children, and extended family and then demand that they feel comfortable staying there like its not a big deal. The property seemed dangerous and seedy, far worse than it appeared on the review sites, and the police were called there for an unrelated altercation. I have never left a hotel because of safety concern until this, and they have made an absolute nightmare to even get my money back after a situation that was entirely of their own making.Do not stay here. They arent even that cheap. They charged a hotel fee that made the room 50% more expensive than the printed price. It is not worth it. Just go somewhere else.

Room was clean and there was not much racket going on. So I had a good night sleep

This had to be one of the worst hotels Ive stayed in. When it rained this past Tuesday (4-9-24) my room flooded. The condition of property and the room itself were horrible. The water pressure in the shower was very low when you try and make the water hotter. If youre taller than 5 feet you have to bend down just to take a shower because the shower head is low on the wall

I had made a mistake and booked the room under my guest name and the lady in the front desk made all the adjustments with no fuss got to check in early for a small fee and got the room that I wanted .. thanks sooo much for the help and care we needed .. must stay and definitely coming back

The rooms were ok, I noticed a few roaches but my biggest complaint is the hot water every shower I took was cold so I tried taking a bath and it took 30 minutes to fill the tub with hot water.

I recommend not staying any night or minute at this hotel. It is roach infested, falsely advertised and they have hookers that come in and out of the hotel. They are fully aware they have roaches and don’t care. The room doors are not secure, refrigerator has mold, bathroom looks unsanitary. Please don’t let the cheap price and online pictures fool you. This place is absolutely disgusting and I don’t recommend a homeless person to stay here. Be ware they will not refund any of your money. Go some place that will be habitual for a human being.

I strongly advise against choosing this place for your stay. The condition of the establishment is deteriorating, with dirty rooms and a front desk that provides terrible service. The location is also highly undesirable, and there are uneven walking spaces on the second floor along with non-functional stairs. This location would be ideal for filming a movie set in a run-down neighborhood. It is crucial that you do not stay here!

The location was okay. The rooms smelled really good and clean but were not. The floors were extremely sticky so do make sure you wear shoes or something at all times!! Service was awful. Upon check in it was good but once we got to the room we seen they didnt have phones so we used our cell to call to ask how to program the remote to the TV. We got stuck on the phone with someone probably in another country who just kept trying to pitch sales to us and not help with our issue at hand. Eventually we were able to respectfully shut him down to where he understood we seriously were not interested and only needed our remote programed. He then transferred us to the front desk and the lady said shed come up and help us as she was busy at the moment with another guest but she never showed up. Also there is so many people walking around this hotel and that live here so have their stuff all in the walk ways and their dogs loose even. Park where you can see your vehicle!

The staff at this hotel are wonderful, professional, as accommodating as they can be, and hard working. That is the only positive thing about this dump. I chose this hotel for the sole reason it was so close to Lackland gate. Room 101. While the room seemed as clean as it could be, given the circumstances, this is not a safe place to lay your head. Broken ceiling tiles. Musty smell. Broken toilet seat. Missing/rotted door and baseboard trim. Giant chunks of paint missing from doors. Giant chunks of door veneer missing and splintered. Mini fridge rusting and not working. Most electrical outlets are so worn out that plugs fall out. Mildew stains surrounding tub. Hole in bathroom wall behind door the size of my head. Cockroaches literally everywhere, including in bed. Missing smoke detector, mounting plate only. Pretty sure that’s illegal. This is hands down the most decrepit place I’ve ever been in. Clearly the owners/managers of this property do not care to do any necessary improvements which are sorely needed. I’ll be letting my fellow USAF BMT mom friends (all 8k of them) know to steer clear of this even though its location is ideal.

Your hotel Attacked and assaulted us, slammed my hands into the wall, and my friend Dee Dee was naked and owners busted in our room, when we had fully paid our hotel fee, and stood there where my friend was naked and just stood there the whole time and I had to call the police because my handicap friend was there and she could move and my hands were hurting and they still were trying to take the door off and force us out when our room Bill had been paid. I regret it , I seen better room , the parking spot in tight. Didn’t recommended at all. It smells like smoke . Plus they ask for the deposit for 50 dollars , they are acting if the rooms are in good condition!! Never again, sorry

We were booked to stay here 8/3-8/9. We arrived late that night. When we arrived they gave us our room and when we went in there there was a puddle on the floor from the mini fridge and the room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. There was an ashtray in the room. I had booked a non-smoking room to my knowledge. We went and discussed with the lady at the office and she said they ask people to not smoke in the room. She offered to spray some stuff to help. Instead we asked to be re assigned. All rooms had ashtrays in them so there were no non-smoking rooms. This room smelled slightly better but was dirty the floor hadnt been swept there were holes in the curtains and there was something that had leaked in the mini fridge. In the bathroom the towel rack was broken and behind the toilet the bathtub was dirty and had permanent stains or possibly mold. The vent fan was had layers of dust in there. I can tolerate a but only stayed one night and only that because we had nowhere to go at that time. We checked out early the next day. I booked through priceline when I contacted them for a refund at first they called multiple times and received no answer. Finally they reached the hotel and the refund was refused by the hotel. Never again.

I spent the night of April 1. I asked for a non-smoking room, the room smelled like smoke. Also, I paid $40 dollars extra as a deposit, which was to be returned in two to three business days. When the charged went through, the Oyo Hotel kept the $40. It is in dispute with my bank at the moment. Please, check your bank statements and make sure that this money is returned to you.

Worse service we called make reservations for nonsmoking room the offer discount. Then at the time we arrive they charged us more then what we were told. The man in front desk was rude not willing to help when they didnt have a nonsmoking room had a very strong smell of cigarettes my daughter & myself suffer from asthma we werent able to stay in the room we walked out right away went back to front desk they refused to give us a refund even if we arent able to stay at this location theres no nonsmoking room available. We needed that $ refund to be able get another place. We had stay in our vehicle for the night.. never returning to this locations! No ⭐️ Starts not worse service . Left that place having health issues difficulty breathing

Overall in person appearance is alarming, the online pictures are a lie. there are broken down vehicles, a mobile barber thats permanently set up in a trailer, broken glass and a riding lawn mower on the property. the stairs are rusting and coming apart, the rooms are DISGUSTING. left over hair, unclean floors, dirty shower, broken and dirty toilet seats. we left as soon as we checked in. we were also told that its unsafe to go out after dark. do not stay here unless youre comfortable with ghettos. the only good thing I can say is that it looks like they changed the sheets before we got there. hate to leave reviews like this but Id hate for anyone else to bring their kids here unknowingly like I did.

Was advertised falsely as a smoke-free hotel. Both rooms I walked into had a strong smoking odor upon entering the room and had ashtrays in them. After bringing back the key a second time the manager told me all his rooms are smoking rooms and walked away from the counter. After almost 6 weeks I still have not received my deposit back for the room that I didnt even stay in.

This rate is not for the actual Hotel. This rate is for customer service and app/booking service. So I booked a room for 4 days 3 nights by phone. A link was sent to my phone to pay. As I clicked on the link received it took me to a payment page so I input payment information. Everything good so far until it just kicked me out and no confirmation was received. So I call the front desk and gave me no solid answer just that I had to wait 45min for my reservation to pop up on there system. So my impatient self went ahead and took it upon myself to book online thru there app which it automatically adds a coupon for downloading it. Yeah for me right? Not!!! So I get a confirmation that my payment was received and booking went thru right away. So an hour later I get a confirmation again that my payment has gone thru and my booking is ready. I open the text it was the very first reservation I had done by phone. So now I have 2 reservation! I call explaining what had happen and i was told that nothing could be done because a coupon was applied and that both of the reservations were at a no cancelation policy. I ended up calling the next day just to let them know that I was checking out early. On a room that I never stayed. And they still wanted to mark me a no show!! Which it states that if its a no show they will charge the full stay!!! Good thing I took the time to read some of the cancelation policy lol.

This Hotel was Soo terrible smfh. Me and my wife was on a road trip. Most of the Hotels we contacted was sold out. I get to this hotel. My rooms was so dirty. It wasnt even clean. Trash everywhere. Smelled so bad that I was coughing 🤢 I would not recommend this hotel to nobody. If I was able to give no stars on this I definitely would. The service was as bad good thing my wife always carries Lysol and cleaning wipes. I will never come back again NEVER.

This place is absolutely horrible. Dirty, not up to date, bugs EVERYWHERE!, hair wads in the shower, dirty bedding, etc. The only good part about this stay was being so close to the base. Do not go here and especially do not bring children!

As soon as we pulled into the drive way I knew something was off about the establishment. We had many problems one being the room smelt like cigarettes, no blankets, shower pressure was low and water was leaking. Owner of the hotel was very rude when we asked for our money back refused to refund us.

I checked out on Friday night...two days before I was scheduled to. There was a large party of 20 or 30 guys right outside my window in the pool area, drinking, smoking Marijuana, grilling, laughing and being extremely noisy. I went to the front desk to ask if I could be moved to another room and the female attendant was extremely rude and unaccomodating. She stated they were completely full and that she would tell them to keep the noise level down. As a single female...I was scared staying there. I then returned to tell her I was checking out and she was still very rude, sarcastic and refused to give me the names of anyone in management and refused to give me any paperwork showing that I stayed there or that I was checking out. I ended up booking my last two nights at the economy lodge across the street where the rooms were more satisfactory, clean and very quiet. I will never stay at another Oyo Hotel again.The one good thing that happened was the gentleman who greeted me when I checked in who was extremely nice...we talked a little and he brought me Indian food which was very kind.

Actually it should be zero stars. My reservation wasnt honored after driving over 450 miles. The lady that was at the desk stated she found my reservation but the short guy that came from the back, contradict her. He said they didnt have my reservation. Then he wanted to charge me an extra day.I had two young kids with me but he didnt give a rats tail about that.However, as we were leaving we noticed homeless people on the property. I spoke with a young man, who suggested I find another hotel anyways. The area wasnt a good area at all. I suggest that any and everyone avoid this place.By the grace of God, we contacted customer service of another hotel and got a room right away in with a $90 discount. I told them about OYO Hotel and the lady said that it wasnt the first time they heard bad reviews.Thank you Jesus for watching over us.

Reservation said to pay at property. Then I noticed they charged me that same night so when we arrives we were told we didnt pay and we needed to pay again and of course we refused cause the charged had already been charged. Then we went ahead and canceled because she refused to let us into our paid room!So we stayed somewhere else. During the night they went ahead and stayed somewhere else and they them in turned charged my card again ND said we arrived and checked into our hotel which was fraud because we canceled then told we couldnt cancel well either way she wouldnt let us check in. Now Im $400.00 out because the incompetence these people have! NEVER AGAIN will i book or stay here AND NEVER WILL Refer! So Im here fighting a 400.00 charge that they say they didnt charge me.... 3 weeks later tried charging me again 🤔🤔 fishy business here

Worst place ever I booked for two nights, and I could even stay there for a minute, place is disgusting, smell like cigarettes. They aint even return our money, supposly until the next day, the manager or owner who knows who she was, gave us a really bad attitude. I never experienced something this horrible. My brother is in dyalisis and they didnt care for his health. The lady on the back was so rude to us and she literally kick us out without our money. They even have a post on front saying no returns after five minutes of getting the keys from room. Really bad surroundin, people smoking and getting into our conversation with the receptionist.

Dirty and they clearly dont clean after the last person...a lady followed me to my car and knocked on my door only to say ; oh nothing and seemed like she was scoping me and my husband out trying to rob or see inside of our spot . Not to mention I had my kids w me an she followed my husband to the car w a group of men waiting down stairs. Left right away keep the $ . Becareful getting rooms in ghetto places !!

To be honest I will never stay here again. Rooms are clean but the whole area is a mess. Windows broken to where they just put up cardboard and the showers make you not want to shower. The door had a large hole on the bottom that an animal could come inside. Also the door didnt have a secondary lock so I was stuck in no mans lands if soneone wanted to come in. Not really a safe place to stay. Never again.

Only spent less than 5 minutes after check-in at this location. I should not have checked in at all. As soon as we arrived we noticed the area was not a good area and the occupants at the hotel were not appropriate. The room was horrible, the only thing that looked nice was the bedding, not the bed itself. The furniture was tore up and the place was run down. It was a scary experience for the short time we were there.Luckily, they did refund us the same day and let us keep our deposit.

Front desk lady n gentleman were the kindest ppl we could have had. Rooms have tile floors and bedding was white easily seen clean. Couldnt miss finding either easy 2find. Si many different staples around area 2choose from. Cant wait for next stay

This hotel was very disappointing. We paid $103 and we should have paid $40. Thin towels. The shower curtain was in a package for me to install myself. It was advertised as breakfast included. This actually meant a pre packaged vanilla bun from Mexico. There was a coffee pot with a drip of coffee available. The desk clerk did not offer to make more. The lights were so bright on the balcony that your room was lit up at night because the door was so ill-fitting that light just went around it. My husband made a phone call outside and was accompanied by a man vomiting in the parking lot.

So for starters the room drinker in cigaretteIt’s says OYO hotel but it’s really a Motel.Then to top it there was an underwear in the floor of who know , opened water bottles left I. The restroom sink, and bathroom trash was not emptied out.They where just dirty I couldn’t.Don’t recommend if you are coming with kids at allAs far as front desk they where nice.It’s my fault for not really looking what the place looked like. If your looking for clean hotel scenario this is not the place. If you are looking for affordable motel this is it.

OYO Hotel is the worst hotel I have ever seen. It’s so bad that I didn’t even want to lay down in the bed nor step in the shower tub or even stay inside the room for no more than 30 minutes. First, as soon as get inside our assigned room, it smelled cigarettes and awful. It got worst than that as I stood inside for awhile and not only it smelled cigarettes but also smelled mildew. If you love yourself and your family you wouldn’t want them to step foot inside. Whew! Second, the room was dirty, unpleasant and unprofessionally prepared as the headboard is falling off the floor. Bed mattress is sitting on a dirty old 3/4 plywood visible. The refrigerator was not cleaned as the freezer area was not defrost and have old icing on it. Walked to the sink and it was very filthy you wouldn’t want to brush your teeth. Trust me it was that bad I had to clean it myself. Upon entering the bathroom, it gets even worst. They use a 5Watt yellow bulb to camouflage the dirtiness of the floor and the walls. Walls were painted and also the tub! Who paints the tub? First time I’ve seen one here. Corners of walls were dirty including the toilet and again smelled cigarettes. All this suffering happened in less than 30 minutes that we had to leave and decided to not use the room at all. We got ourselves checked in at another hotel and the rest was history. My conclusion is if you care about yourself and your love ones, for God’s sakes don’t come to this place. You’ll thank me one day 😇 BTW, one star is not deserving as its required to post review. Zero star for me😢

First off I caught covid in there the first couple days I was there I dont know if it was because the cleaning lady only came about once a week and she would knock on my door when I was trying to sleep during the day because Im a split shift gig worker. Not the best location inconvenient access, cockroaches, and after paying on booking.com I was charged upon arrival at the motel so Im still trying to figure that one out how I paid twiceWaiting on a bank statement to reveal what really happened. Other than that the bed was a good size mini refrigerator in the room, my air conditioning worked well may only complaints about the plumbing was the toilet flushing was restricted flow so you might have to flush it 2- 3 times. The one thing that really irked me was: the fact that because of my crazy schedule I never had enough towels or wash rags clean in my room and I never had enough toilet paper I had to actually go by a value pack at Walmart because the housekeeping is so LAX at this location, oh and the ice machine is way up by the office, you have to walk all the way up there to get bucket of ice, And half the time it doesnt even work. Welcome to San Antonio Texas travel accommodations.

Staff were superb. My room was super clean. I actually took special notice of how expertly the ceiling was restored. Best ceiling job I have ever seen!! I got a fantastic rate as well. However there is no swimming pool as shown in the photo. The list of things wrong with this place would constitute a book worth of writing. So I will end by rating this place as a big fat AVOID!!

Its disgusting. Ghetto. I didnt stay there, we just picked up a friend for dinner. I didnt even bother using the restroom. The shower was like it hasnt been cleaned in a long time. Mold on tile. He has to use his own towels. Because theyre werent any available in front office. No no no. I will probably report this to health department. Nobody should live like that for a quick stay of a week for $500! Unacceptable!

First we booked the room 2 weeks before. The page said that the Chek-In was at 1400. We drive 8 hours to get to the Hotel at 1400. We arrived and they tell us that they do not have room clean that if we wanted a clean room we had to pay a deposit of 50 dollars. They give us the key to the room and the room was all dirty. Dirty wet sheets, wet towels, trash and a cigarette smell with moisture. My husband talked to the Manager and he gives us another room. We entered the room that gave us the bed was lying but when we took the sheet the sheets had long black hairs and the smell was the same as the other room. While we were in the room that they gave us, in the previous room they had given us, my husband saw the lady who does housekeeping And he notice that she do not changed the sheets of the bed she left the same sheets that were dirty, she only fix the bed and that all. At that time we paid in chek-out and left. Gross

I would give a 0 of I could! BEWARE you is nothing like advertised. Asked for refund 5 mi. After we checked in and refused told us to call Trump to get a refund. Rooms are dirty musty roaches no hot water drug dealings. When I asked for my money or the key back we got neither went down the road to motel 6 100 percent t better

If you’re reading this, please don’t book here. Sincerely, don’t. I only went by the photos I saw which looked LOVELY. Then I checked into my room.. immediately I realized I made a big mistake. It looked nothing like the photos other than the white bedding sheets. The furniture: broken. The floors: stained dark spots The bathtub: stained brown spots. The bedding/sheets: stained and holes. The walls: dirty. The price was GREAT at $40 a night but the travelodge across the street is only $10 more and La Quinta is $20 more. It’s ALWAYS worth the price to go to a clean, sanitary location. The front desk clerks- a family- were very kind and accomodating so that was nice. The small pool was nice too and open til 10pm. But overall- it’s not a safe hotel - and not clean overall. Ghetto is a good description word. Steer away, folks.

The hotel is need of some repairs. However the manager/ owner is super helpful and very accommodating. There wasn’t any problems with bugs or cleanliness. It just needs a remodel, fresh paint etc. location has lots of places to eat nearby as well as a HEB store across the street.

Everything was dirty and smelled of mildew. I had people who were high out of thier minds come up to me the whole trip was disgusting there. Would not recommend just spend the little extra to go somewhere nicer. The tvs dont work nor did the shower heads. The bathroom was small enough that my knees touch the wall when I sat down.

The price is a bit higher than some hotels in San Antonio but WELL WORTH IT!!! I have stayed at several other establishments in San Antonio and this motel is bar none above the rest anywhere else I have stayed. The management team is very helpful and hospitable!!! The rooms are CLEAN and I am happy that I didnt have to scrub anything in my room as I have had to do at others. My double room appears to be a small 1 bedroom apartment. Theres a kitchen equipped with a single basin sink with counter space by it enough for dishes to dry and cabinets under the sink as well as under the counter space next to the mini 4 burner electric stove top with oven. Theres also a full size Whirlpool refrigerator with top freezer. The living/dining area is also in one side of the 1st room. The second side includes king size bed and dressers. Theres a vanity area with bathroom sink next to large closet and a private bathroom with a tub shower and toilet. I recommend the Economy Inn San Antonio for anyone that appreciates clean large room, on site laundry area and a clean pool with grills on property available to cook out!

Are you KIDDING ME? The ONLY way this place has gotten more than 1 star from anyone is if they either know the owner or are looking to score. It looks, inside and out, like the motel from Breaking Bad where people go to get a Wendy.Two friends from out of town booked this place and its a total dump. The room smelled like a combination of bug spray and cigarette smoke. The bathroom had dead roaches in it and other peoples hair stuck to the sink. It is beyond nasty! I am stunned it has earned 3 stars. Ive told my friends to ditch this roach infested flea bag and come sleep on my couch if they have to.Who cares if the owners son is very handsome (read that in one review) if you leave with bedbugs! There are far better budget options here in town!

I have no idea where they got the pictures on their website home page, but if you come here looking for that, you will be sadly disappointed. Please keep in mind...you get what you pay for. They will charge another day for late check out. It wasnt horrible, there werent bugs crawling around. But I got into my room and couldnt get out. They had to break the door so I could get out. Then got locked out of my room several times because the key didnt work. They are not open 24 hours a day. I had to wait several hours in my car for them to get there. Im all about saving money, but its not worth all the hassle!

If I could give it a negative, I would! In town for my sons graduation from bootcamp. Booked this hotel through expedia. Looked great online, non smoking rooms, even better bc im allergic to cigarette smoke. We checked in really late after traveling all day. Parking lot was scary. People hanging out on the parking lot. Some dude sleeping in his work truck. Atleast I could lock the door right? Wrong! Door didnt have a lock. It was broken. Could only shut it for it to click. Couldnt wait to get in the door, had to go to the bathroom!! I was absolutely not sitting on this toilet! Slept horribly. So did my husband. Next morning I woke up itching so badly! Ended up going to the walk in. She said definitely bug bites. Not sure if it was bed bugs. Too early to tell. But got 2 prescriptions. I repeat, DO NOT STAY HERE!

I wouldnt recommend staying there.. their front desk service is bad.. they over priced their rooms and you have to literally bug them for your deposit refund.. all in all a total bad place to stay at.. would recommend anywhere else but there..

It was the worst experience I have had, when I was checking in the owner was upset because of the rate I had booked for and got on her cell phone and was complaining that they were supposed to fix it, she then said I guess you can still have it at that rate but Im losing money with you staying here. When I got to the room it was dirty with hair and dead roaches on the floor I took pictures and went to let her k ow and she just said someone would clean the room she refused to change me to a different room, . I well never stay at this property again.

My family and i were a little skeptical about staying here because of all the bad reviews but dont let them fool you. Rooms were very clean. comfortable size for a family of 4. A/C works great, comfy beds. Staff was very sweet and kind. Thank you for a comfortable stay.

This is the worst hotel ever. I asked for a non-smoking room and the room I got smelled like an ash tray. The blankets had cigarette holes in them and the other people in the surrounding rooms were smoking weed.I reported this to the front desk and they told me that they would refund my money, but then rejected my refund. I do not recommend this Hotel for families with kids.

Disgusting!!! Smells like 20 years of cigarettes, I found a q tip under the bed, no microwave as advertised, the floor, walls and every single furniture has a scratch and are dirty!!! Oh…the dirty chair in the closet is torn and has duct tape! The worst is the lady from the front desk (almost non existing) has to be prepared by Oyo to receive people, not her fault but… No wifi, did I say it stinks like cigarettes 🚬 thousands!!! It has incense burnt stick coming out from a wall (just watch the pictures) 😩 🤮 🤬 there’s blood on the walls and the fire alarm was off the sealing… OMGPS: only HOT water on the tap

Even though this motel does have good rates ($350.00 for the week) and the rates do not go up or down they stay the same. I still would not recommend this place to be at. For reasons of the environment is not great and majority of things do not work in there rooms. The outlets in a room my family and I where in almost caught fire (not good). The room before that my refrigerator, microwave did not work at all. The only reasons we are here is because of rates and location is convenient to my wife and I jobs. There are much more problems that I can discuss however, I feel I have said plenty.So PLEASE take my review seriously and do not stay here, I would find other places to stay then here.

Price is the best in town in my book for the quality of the room it comes with. You can S**t Shower Sanwhave and sleepin a clean room and has a fridge and microwave and has heating/ac that works and has a big flat screen tv with cable. All for under $60 plus deposit but you get deposite back when you take back the key and remote so that is understandable over all the staff are kind but stern but not like other places me and my wife have stayed in since the wrongfully foreclosure of our home so for the mean time this place is where we rest till we settle our case ! oh and cameras all around property where we park so it is also safe and things wont go missing ... PEACE OUT ✌️

You have you have to put down a $10 deposit for the remote thats not good. The room was clean the towels and sheets were clean the comforter had a lot of cigarette Burns in it I mean the staff which only saw one person it was the guy at the checkout or check in and he was nice so I mean the only bad part but there was a room night next to us we were in 109 so Im assuming it was 107 and they have people coming and going all night long yes they were selling drugs that it was okay

Mr. And Mrs. Pedro (owners) have always been friendly, accommodating and ensure that property is safe for all of their customers. If any problem arose, they are understanding and correct the probably in a timely manner. I have also stayed at their other location off Broadway and 410 (airport) and their staff is also very accommodating, prompt and efficient.

Checked in and paid online just to get to location and be charged an additional amount stating they wouldnt honor OYO app price. Once we opened the door to the room, it smelled like someone had just smoked in there. Walked backed towards closet and found a manmade device to smoke illegal substances out of. Smoke detector was wrapped in dirty towel thrown in corner of closet. Then I walked into restroom and there was urine on toilet bowl seat. There was numerous knocks throughout the night on the door from unknown people. Last but not least, my card was charged a $25.00 decline fee but yet my account is still in the positive.

This is the worst hotel ever, they even respect their own rules, they didn’t give me back my money when they have a sing that says they’ll refund back with 5 minutes and we check in in less time so when we went to the room and came back to ask for our money redound they said they won’t. The room was nasty like haven’t cleaned since the very first time they opened it, then smell was the most nasty that I ever smelled in my all life and the receptionist guy so rude and honestly I don’t know why you have a company service if you are no in conditions to serve good and clean. So please don’t go to this poor hotel.

This place looked GREAT online. Because they show the photos for the newer, updated version of the chain that miles up the road! This one is the complete opposite of the online photos! Its run down, sketchy, there are screws holding the bottom of our bathroom door together! The wifi doesnt work, the room reeked of cigarettes, the pillows are so flat they were basically worthless. The room was clean, thats the best I could say.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to get in touch with someone at this hotel. My email is being used against my will by a “guest” at this hotel and no matter how many times I call customer service, they give me very vague suggestions or transfer me to this hotel which in turn, gets disconnected. At this point I’m realizing there is something very strange going on. And from what I’m reading, this hotel chain is known for being scammy or worse, reviews state that certain locations of this chain do not even exist. Would not recommend.

It seemed like a good deal when I booked through Expedia, I mean $61.95 for 2 nights in San Antonio why not? I confirmed over the phone the day before if my reservation was still available, and they said yes. I get there and the lady at the front desk tells me shes having trouble with the system, but in the meantime she had me go to an atm to withdraw $50. I go back she tells me its still down, and the best she could do is charge $5 5 for one night which is a far cry from the $61.99 reservation. She tells me I can wait about an hour and the sons owner will come by to fix it, and that hes at dinner close by. Cool. Wait an hour and a half and nothing. So its been 2 hours since this problem, and so I had to book last minute with another hotel. I go in to tell her cancel my reservation, and she tells me the person should be by any moment, he never leaves the area. I tell her its been 2hrs I doubt it. The owners dont seem to care, and for the money there are so many better options.

They get absolutely zero stars!!!!!!When I was warming up my food I seen a rat/mouse I went to go complain about it and the manger (female) she said she don’t believe that. She call some other girl on the phone to send the maintenance over to the room and the lady on the phone starts laughing and says “did she bring it with her” Manager had her on speaker.. she refuse to give me my refundMy husband called to let them know and to get the refund.. they left him on hold then hold & never responded back!!!!Very unprofessional!!!!

Worst hotel manager/owner ever. Reserved and paid using Hotwire and when arrived 11pm woman said no room available. I said I paid already , they said we don’t have rooms, all are gone. While I was arguing , the owner came out and said get out of property without listening to any thing from me. Looks like they sold my room to another party at higher price. Very dishonest owner and very rude. I called police but police said they can’t do anything regarding my booking.

I really dont know where to begin when trying to let the public know that this business establishment is not to be considered as a place to rest your head. First of all I checked into the hotel with my reservations and was then instructed to deposit $20 if I needed a remote control for the television. The owner or manager ask me to authorize my debit card and I agreed on condition of a refund on the return of the remote control. I went to my room, and when I went to get in the shower there was hair was in the bathtub, and my wash cloth was in the garbage with stains associated with someone cleaning their self and using the waste basket as the ashtray as they smoke on the toilet. Being I was tired from riding in a 18 wheeler from Minnesota I cleaned the bathroom myself and would take my issues up with management when I finished showering, that is why I photographed the uncleanness of the room. When I went down to the office I was told I was lying about the hotel room and that it would be in the morning before I could get clean towels. On top of everything else when I checked out the next day and returned the remote control, I was still charged $20 on my debit card, and when I contacted the hotel about the $20 charge to my debit card I was then instructed I would have to come back to the hotel to get my refund in person. I called the hotel to say I was coming in off the road to come for my refund back to my debit card, now Im told I have to bring a slip with me to get my refund. What slip? The only slip I have is my debit/bank account transaction list with a $20 charge for the Inn in San Antonio? I checked into OYO Hotel Lackland Air Force Base/ near Sea World. Why is my debit card transaction coming from the Inn in San Antonio and I stayed at the OYO Hotel Lackland Air Force Base? Im trying to get a hold of an attorney. The issue isnt the $20. The issue is a business being able to take money out of my account with my permission on the promise of a refund once I check out and return the item, not to be robbed. This establishment isnt managed correctly and the business practices used to operate this establishment are used to scam and rob people of there money.

We had a reservation for weeks. Drove 9 hours and arrived today only to be given given a number to call. They didnt even look up our reservation or ask my name. I walked in Said I had a reservation and was handed a slip of paper with a phone number. I then checked my bank account and they had charged me a $25 cancelation fee!! Called about getting refund and was told they will call me back. Worst hotel experience ever! There were no more hotels in town for under $300 a night and we ended up having to drive almost 2 hours away to find another hotel.

The price was great , we stayed 2 nights, the only thing I was a little upset is that they didnt come to clean our room next day on our stay.Other than that was great. 2 beds , enough space since we have our 4 girls and 2 adults.

Paid for on hotels.com we get there and get our key to go to the room ready to sleep since we were on the road a while. Open the door and yeah there are people in the room sleeping on the bed. Go back to the desk to verify room and tell them someone’s in there already. Tells me thats impossible theres no one in there. I tell him yeah well i just opened the door and there they were. He stumbles through some papers still saying no one should be in there. Another guy comes in to help him and the same thing looking in papers and on the computer saying no on should be in there. Then a third guy comes in and they speak in another language then tell me they moved someone and no one logged it. I told them they can keep the first nights payment if they can just refund the second we are not going to be staying here. He told me they cannot refund any of it. I told them to just refund the deposit and they said they would void that payment. Its my own fault for trying to be cheap the place looks like people go there to shoot up. Rooms had doors missing trash all over the ground. No way i was gonna let my family stay there. Ended up costing almost $200 wasted plus on top of what we paid to go elsewhere. Would have been cheaper to go somewhere else from the get go.

Ive stayed here a couple times now. I will admit the hotel is not in the best area. But the staff is really friendly and the rooms were always nice and clean. Never had any issues all in all a good place to check into.

The room was so nasty I walked in immediately left wanted money back they say it will take a 14 days for a refund but the service team has to contact me first they never contact try calling back the hang up everytime. Im a positive person but what they did to us here was insane. I am not writing this in anger so please dont read it that way. We just checked in maybe 15 minutes prior with the owners wife, she allowed an early check-in. The owner barged into our room while my little cousin was getting changed yelling that we had to get out when we had just gotten there. He said he had on cctv my cousins boyfriend walking around the property this morning. Impossible because he was not in town until the afternoon. I told the guy this and he wouldnt listen so we said we will go as long as we get a refund he agreed and we were packing up and he still continued yelling about it and talking to my cousins boyfriend (because he is man if you understand what I mean). When he repeated himself about his wife saying my cousins boyfriend was on the property this morning I told him his wife is crazy that he was not in town this morning and the guy tells me to shut up not because of what I said about his wife but because I am a woman and he continued to try to yell at my cousins boyfriend. Long story short we had to get the police involved to get my refund, the lady tried to stiff me.

Great hotel! Wonderful owners! Theyre strict but only to keep people safe and comfortable while they stay! The rooms are nice and comfortable, im kinda sad to be leaving I loved it here! Felt just like home!

I cannot believe that there are roaches in this motel. Customer service is unbelievably terrible. A lady who addresses herself as the owner has no manners. That she is rude is an understatement. This place needs to be shut down

It is a two story building with a outdoor pool. The location is off of 410 access road which seems to be a bad area. The pool regardless of whether or not swimming is in season was disgusting. Could have swam if I wanted infections and what not. The room was small for sleeping 4. There were holes in the wall, the bathroom door wouldnt close, and we were given a remote with dead batteries. We were woken up somewhere between 2am and 4am by someone knocking but when answering the door no one was there and it was hard to look out through the peephole. Wake up the next morning amd alcohol bottles practically full behind our car tires and a broken crackpipe on the stairs. Would not recommend or stay again.

This is a rip-off, fraud & scam!! Paid for a room, through this app, the manager said she wouldnt honor the price, it was too cheap so I tried to cancel. They took my money and them said they needed my checking account and routing number to give me my refund! I paid with a debit card so they shouldnt need my account information to do that. My bank informed me OYO has a recurring charge so my bank is changing my information, cancelling their recurring charges & filing fraud against the company.

Stayed here with my boyfriend for about a month. The staff are stand offish and seem rude until they get to know you. The low rates attract less than model citizens most of the time. Drugs are available and there is movement all throughout the night. Police have been called here on occasion and people do fight but the rooms are accommodating and fairly clean. The pool is also clean and they don’t allow it to be junky on the balconies. The beds are comfortable and inside the room you feel cozy. It’s great for the price. The oyo on valley hi is a few dollars cheaper but gross and dirty and the management is shady. This oyo is ran by good people who keep a decent motel. I like it here.

I booked 2 king rooms 1 week before arriving. When i arrive they said they cancelled one of the reservations that morning and that I had to pay $20 more because the price that i paid online was for a single bed not a king and that it was my problem not theirs. Worst service ever.

The husband and wife are great caring folks. I wish the people that stayed were the same. Its a drug zone. It looks great on the outside but the people that stay there are horrible. I cant speak for the oyo but I stayed before and I hope the people that stay there arent as bad as before.

When I complained she said, that cant be true, this is one of my best rooms, you must have brought them with you Holes in the wall, poorly patched job where the door had been busted in, mold everywhere, when I took a shower my feet left muddy prints from walking on the carpet, lights didnt work. NASTY! Cant believe the housing authority or whoever governs hotels has not condemned this place!!

OMG night mare on 410 !! This Motel was the worst in everyway.. number one about privacy forget! Employee looked like they had a bad day EVERY DAY..rooms dirty Dusty and smells of urine and beds stained no blankets or sheets or curtains some things in every room missing ...reservation problem s the worst..the hotel was not in sync we had to get up at 4 am and sign in for every single stay .but we where locked out after 11. I wish I had never stayed cause we left with a headache from all the unprofessionalism! Good luck to yall

First they OVER CHARGED, even though i told them i booked online, they said its because taxes. The wifi was non-existant in our room, we were supposed to use it outside. It was late, windy and cold, i asked before checking in if there was wifi in the rooms. That was why we paid. Then 90min later after trying to find wifi connection. And walking back and forth to the office 5 times (because front desk said they dont have to check anything) we wanted to leave, and still had to pay for the night. NEVER EVER EVEN CONSIDER GOING THERE EVER.

Out of all hotels, we checked in at like 8 or 9 in the morning, most hotels wont let you until after 12pm. And then you have to be out at like 11a or 12pm... well we were really tired from being on the road and they let us stay! Thankful for that. The room we stayed in is clean, no roaches.

Bottom line:If the hotel operator claims they cant see the booking and / or payment made via the OYO web site dont expect OYO to resolve the problem satisfactorily unless the hotel operator works through the issue on the spot. If you dont check-in you will be charged as a no show. If, like me, you pay a second time at check-in you may find OYOs resolotion less than satisfactory..Some ugly details:I booked & paid for a room via a third party service. No check in problem other than rude receptionist. I used OTO site to extend stay and receptionist her computer showed nothing. I showed her the messages and the online banking record of payment on my phone. She rudely insisted I pay or leave. When I took out cash she over charged me $10 stating the price changes every hour. I paid for one night. When I asked for a receipt was told I would receive one when I returned the TV remote at checkout. I told her it appeared there was a system problem and that I hoped they would resolve by morning when the online transaction reached their computer I will expected my cash would be refunded or applied to next night. This rude woman was banging on the door at checkout time insisting I come to the office and pay or get out of the room right away. Bottom line I paid twice for 2 nights then paid by card at the hotel only for the last night. While in the hotel lobby the receptionists son dialed the OYO support line for me and told me any refund I was due would be paid by OYO. OYO support said they would escalate my case and call me back in 24 to 48 hours after they finished discussing the situation with the hotel operator. When I had not heard from them before check out time I decided to end my staying and at checkout was told my receipt HAD ALREADY BEEN (?) emailed to me. I refreshed my inbox and had no messages from OYO. I received an email at my first stop AFTER leaving the hotel that did not show one of the cash payments or the $10 extra I was charged (only when I paid in cash) because the price changes every hour. I called OYO support that night and was told the case had been escalated and I would be contacted the next day. When I did not hear from OYO the next day I tried calling multiple times two days in a row. Each time the phone rang and rang but was never answered. The next week I was told the case was resolved and I would be receiving a refund for on nights online payment. I made it clear to OYO support during my initial call from the hotel lobby with the receptionist and her son listening that two nights charges deducted from my bank AND I had paid in cash. I dont recall mentioning the additional $10 the hotel charged. After looking over the receipt from the hotel I wasnt sure what to expect. When I received notice the escalated case was resolved and a refund was being processed for one night I was pleasantly surprised. By that point I thought I had foolishly allowed OYO to get away with fraud I should have put an end to when I was first told I had to pay in cash (+$10). In retrospect I believe the resolution terribly disturbing for two reasons. First, the case resolution addressed half of the reported issue and was closed before contacting me about the findings. OYO gave precedence to the hotel operators input over mine (the customer). That is understandable considering the errors in the receipt provided by the hotel. I believe OYO and the OYO brand would benefit from an audit of cash receipts but that is unreasonable to expect as part of this case escalation. The second major problem I have accepting OYOs resolution is that mentioned nothing about how the local hotel claimed they could see nothing on their computer about my reservation or my payment. At the very least I would like an explanation of the hotel operators claim the could not see the booking on their computer. Does the operator have adequate training? Is there a a policy with supporting procedures to follow when a customer presents evidence of bookings and payments that dont appear on the system used by the hotel operator?

Honestly its pretty nice its not super luxury but its clean with a full size bathroom and a vanity mirror . The remote and keys cost is a $50 deposit but our remote didnt work . 🤦 Other than that its nice also the pool is open and clean also the appliances were brand new everything is newly remodeled for a good price its a nice motel

The worst hotel experience Ive ever had. Found glass in the beds. Mold in the bathroom. And everything was dirty. Never again. Complained to manager and was told I was lying even thou I had pictures.

Heres the deal... If you want a super cheap hotel, especially for BMT graduation, this is your place. 35 bucks a night gets you two beds to sleep on, basic TV, internet access, microwave and fridge. Was the paint peeling in the shower... Yes. Does it look a little rough... Yes. Does the surrounding area look sketchy.... Yes. BUT if you are here for your kid graduating and you dont require a lot of time at the hotel.... This is a great deal and just 6 minutes from base!

Don’t ever book here. This woman was a month into giving birth and need a place to stay and was willing to pay. Not to mention she was just kicked out and just need something for 2 days and they told her to sleep outside at the bus stop!

Changed plans to stay after phone reservation and payment. Called 10 mins before 9 am policy to cancei. Phone booking on existing reservations does not respond to phone keypad inputs. You cannot cancel by phone except to talk to human. You must call new booking to get to existing booking. Agent said i cannot be refunded 3 min after 9 am. Avoid oyo. Read reviews that turned me off this group. Apologies are best you will get from them. They are well practiced at this. Working with credit card co. to dispute charges for services never received.

Female night clerk was really rude, told us she couldn’t give us any towels so we couldn’t shower (the room only came with one towel). She also told us we couldn’t make coffee in the lobby because “it’s too late” like come on she’s behind a glass door, why on earth can’t we make coffee??? It’s not bothering anybody? Also, there were small roaches crawling in the shower.

I booked through Expedia and paid $134.90 (including tax & fees). I arrived OYO Hotel San Antonio at 10 pm after a long day of driving.I rang the bell, and the women in OYOs office shouted without asking who I was, had a reservation?: “No more room.I said “I had a reservation and paid…”I said there are no rooms…” and she turned to go inside.The money I paid for Experdia, but my daughter and I did not have a bedroom on the evening of June 26, 2021, but to this day (July 20, 21), Experdia has not returned the money to me.

This place stole 40 dollars from me. Supposed to have gotten a discount my 1st time trying to get a room, but instead I show up to them saying that the system doesnt show anything lower than a certain price and declined to service me or my refund.

Wasn’t to bad great stay no trouble they offered blind spot in back dead end to hid my Harley-Davidson. People nice that run hotel and laid back. All in all descent place worth it

You get what you pay for except, this is worse than than. You dont get what you pay for is more in line with the quality this dump gives you. Stains, breaking appliances, and a miniscule bathroom are all things you can expect from here. Fellow traveler, youre better off just paying the extra bucks for something livable. Okay, so, the pool is open even until night, and its lovely! Oh, and the deals and everything is great. The location and comfiness makes up for the tiniest issues, so Id say this place is lovely!

Walked in and immediately checked out of a room that reeked of second hand smoke, had roaches, broken tiles, dirty sheets, busted bathroom door and no soap. Absolutely filthy.

Economy inn has nice, clean rooms , swimming pool, and ample parking. The areas night life may not be the best place for children,in my opinion, and lacks grounds security, however, Economy Inn, lives up to its name by providing a clean room, cable, and Wifi at an affordable price.

Smells like lots of smoke no parking and very noisy I could hear foot steps in the up stairs room.. Didnt not like the stay at all dirty sheets.

Our son was in the children hospital for a week, and we lived out of town. The rates offered made it possible for us to stay near by our son.

I never stayed at the room I paid for. When I got there the office was closed and a sign said no vacancy. I tried to cancel the booking and was unable to get a refund. Terrible experience with OYO and will never ever consider staying at one ever again in the future.

Relaxing and the owner was the epitome of customer service. She was very welcoming and accommodating. We definitely will return.

Roaches crawl over you in your sleep. Management/ Owners slow people to do anything to your car as they literally stand by and watch.makes you wonder......zero if I could

They charged me 60 dollars as a deposit for two rooms and till now they didnt refund the deposit.

When me and my family arrived the checking in was quick and easy but our rooms smelled horrible the tub had burn marks on the after the first night things got worse dealing with the lady from the office being rude about us trying to fix our car that had recently broke down as we were fixing it she came up to us talking about she called the cops and said that we cant work on our car in the parking lot

I believe this hotel needs to be shut down asap ! The people they have working are extremely rude & disorganized . The lady at the front ( the owner ) walks off when your talking to her & she also says the rudest things when she cant understand you because she speaks little English . This hotel is TRASH!

Great staff clean environment and the police are always just around the corner. Me and my children felt safe.

This hotel does not accept any online deals and is Races towards people and get mad and call the cops if you try to book a room online cause they cant charge there price they charged me 95$ for a room that was 28$ online

So much activity there its ridiculous. The police pull you over as soon as you exit the parking lot. So many deaths cant count them on your fingers and toes.

This was my second time staying at this hotel, my first experience was horrible. but to great surprise this time my stay was rather plesant.

Remote control didn’t work! Really bad customer service! Didn’t return deposit back to my sister for a mistake they did!

The entire room is disheveled... Everything is dirty. Beds are uncomfortable. I would only come here as a last resort!!

This was an ok place. They need a little updating, like replace or remove the room carpet. The linens were clean.

The room had bed bugs and the pictures we seen on line didnt not look the same when we got there
