The Academy SF

This seemed like a super sweet place! Its hard to know what they offer as my company merely rented out the space, hired a single bartender, a person with an ice cream push cart, and vaguely mentioned a DJ in a room some room somewhere on premises. Not sure which building it was in, though.From what I saw, there are a bunch of very cute rooms in two different buildings connected by an outdoor patio space that is secluded from the street but does appear to be shared space for the above apartments. Bonus for privacy, but I also felt very conscious of feeling as though I was in someone elses backyard after hours. OTOH, if you live there, you probably expect a nightly party. :)The space/s have tons of fun potential and I hope it thrives.

Fancy, loved the venue, just not the box wine that tastes like juice (not classy). Overall gorgeous and Ill suggest Costco box Napa valley cab or Trader Joes brand as an upgrade. Otherwise stick to mix drinks.

Great Experience!!! Hosts Paul, Nate, and Kate made for an exceptional tour this afternoon. The Academy features some well thought, well designed spaces inside and out. Membership and Subscription driven, this private club is an inclusive opportunity to enjoy some of the best living in urban San Francisco.

Such a great environment and ambiance to have a drink and relax with friends. Different rooms, events, and activities keep this place interesting and exciting. The staff go above and beyond to make sure guests feel welcome and comfortable. The back patio is beautiful as is all the interior decor. Highly recommend.

I recently attended a private event in this space and it was so nice - the ambience was great but also there was so much seating! Which can be a really difficult thing if its hard for someone to stand for long periods of time. I definitely am interested in attending other events here or possibly reserving part for a private event

Went to the Divas and Drink event judt the other night. Web -site says no ticjets sold at door, do i bought mine online for $15 plus service fee. Get there, and they are selling tickets, to dudes none the less. And for $10 bucks ! Not only did i feel duped, but what are dudes doing in our space? Can we have an all woymn event? Guess not. Also, if you go there for an event, be prepared, its Outside. Partially covered. They omitted that detsil as well. Its basically a house with small rooms you wander thru

My sister hosted her wedding ceremony and reception at the Academy. It is such a beautiful space. The color schemes, decor, and overall ambiance is just luxurious.We used the outdoor area for the ceremony and the upstairs area for the reception both of which were reasonably priced for what we got!We worked with Nate on the booking process and he was great from start to finish. I originally came in with my partner to take a tour and loved the space so much, I called my sister on FaceTime so she could see it too. After, Nate offered to let my sister and me come to the club for a drink so that she could see the club in person before making the decision to book. She loved it, and from there Nate provided us with an estimate and answered all of the questions we had promptly. Nate also reached out to us the week of the wedding to offer us a chance to see a new space they had just in case it rained, which was very thoughtful. He also let us drop the cake off for storage the day before!On the day of the wedding, everything went smoothly. The staff checked the guests in, and they had a coat check available which was so convenient. We provided our own plates, flatware, and food.I have to give a special shout-out to the bartender, Arthur (the fifth of his name) who was the coolest person ever. A great balance between friendly and professional. Arthur was extremely thoughtful, funny, and just a pleasure to be around. It felt like he could handle any and everything!Id highly recommend booking The Academy for your special event!

Very nice venue. Friendly staff. Patio space was very nice with space heaters for when it turns chilly. There was a nice crowd there, but it managed to feel roomy.

The Academy is a great resource for meeting new people and participating / enjoying various activities.
