For every other appointment I’ve made I’ve been cancelled on. I normally let it go but it’s gotten old. There’s a therapist named Gee who’s cancelled on me both times that I’ve ever booked with him. Another male therapist who didn’t show because he was sick…. I shouldn’t find out shortly before. If you’re sick this could have been told to me much earlier in the day so that I can do something with my time carved out for an appointment. Another either quit or was fired so the day before I’m cancelled on again. I was told a manager named Alex would call me back. They never called.The receptionist texting said that when she looks at my history it shows that I’ve only been cancelled on once and all other times were me cancelling. That’s incredibly dishonest being that I’m texted last minute about the session being cancelled. I’m always looking forward to the massage. To relax. This, I’m sure you guessed, is the opposite of.I called to cancel and the girl at the front desk could care less. On top of my rate increased without anyone telling me. It’s 2024. Giving your money to establishments that could clearly careless is not the move.
Ive called many times asked to speak to a manager, I get a manager to call back and then nothing. My husband so how was talked into signing up for a membership.... during a couple massages, he hated it. I dont know how they got him to agree. But we now have 24 unused packages and no one calls me back. Still waiting for the call back I have gone inside many times regarding this.I asked for a copy of the contract in person and they could not provide it. The girl said he sign it a year after the charges started to come out of our account....how is that possible when he never went back!!! Someone from Corp needs to call me because my next calls are to BBB, lawyer and news stations.
I went here as a gift from my wife. My therapist did an ok massage but chit chat through the entire experience. I never experienced that before. Its a month later now and Im getting appointment text for up coming appointments I never made.
I typically have good luck with this location but today had an awful scheduling / front desk experience that soured my other experiences and led me to leave this review. I canceled my membership after over 15 years as I just wasn’t using it as much as I’d like. I have many credits to use up and went ahead and scheduled an appointment for my husband. When scheduling, I was never informed I would need to have my home location transfer me a credit for him. The front desk at this location was completely inflexible despite seeing the 14 credits sitting in my account. we had to pay $120 for a massage I already paid for and I still can’t get in touch with my home location despite calling over 10 times to get them to transfer a credit over so we can get our money back. The customer service was truly terrible and I was extremely unhappy with their inability to be flexible considering their lack of communication was the reason the credit was never transferred in the first place. This felt really shady and like they were stealing my money and punishing me for something that was absolutely their fault. If I do sign up for a membership again, it won’t be with massage envy due to this experience.
Just got done with my massage with Stephanie. It was so nice. Pressure was perfect, I don’t care for a lot of pressure during massages. Enjoyed the tranquility room. Nice, clean, serene place. Friendly staff. Only thing I would suggest is maybe offer clients water. Other than that, everything was great! In and out and relaxed.

The payment, my wife and I received a gift card to go here to Envy for $150 as a wedding gift. After they set everything up and signed us in. They never told us the price for a massage and after the massage they gave my wife the bill for $240. Wait I thought we had a coupon for a couples massage worth 150. Well the manager comes out and removed a discount from our receipt. The whole time we were there we were the only black people and I feel we had gotten taken advantage of because the manager came all the way from her office to see what we were paying the two girl at the service desk can handle payments why did she come over to butt in
This place is nothing but hassle. Save yourself the time and money and go to a qualified therapist. This place has a high turn over youll never get the same person. You pay for what you get underqualified therapist. Dont bother buying those gift cards because the front desk cant get their computers to correlate and its just a big hassle when checking out. This place was a big disappointment. Never again massage envy.
It was my first time visiting this location last week and I had a 90 minute massage with Donna. She was wonderful! Found all the knots, even the ones I didn’t realize I had, and made it super relaxing for me. I’ll be back!
This was my first time getting a massage and I was not disappointed. Holly did a awesome job. The place was really clean; the atmosphere was nice and calm. They even have decent prices. Im sure Ill be returning😊
Very disappointed in many of the Massage Envy locations around Central Florida. The rooms are kind of run down and its distracting when youre trying to relax and notice stains on the walls and carpet.
I was a member for many years but canceled my membership after a company-wide decline in quality. I received written confirmation that my membership was canceled. Unfortunately, I was then charged 65 dollars twice in less than a month after canceling. The worst part is that I was on a Freeze Plus plan, being charged only $10 per month before I canceled.Then, once I canceled because I had so many unused services from the COVID days, they started charging me the full price after I canceled. If this happens to you, know that you can handle it with your bank.I spoke to the business manager, who told me they would need another one of my cards to process the refund. They would not provide any additional proof of prior cancellation. I was unhappy with the way they handled it.
I just had the best massage of my life. I’m not kidding! I’ve had very few people who can do a therapeutic deep tissue massage and mine was 90 minutes! My therapist listened exactly to what I wanted and checked several times to make sure they were on target. Thank you so much! I feel so much better! Can’t wait to go back!
I went to Sanford location to get one hour massage. There were 15 minutes waiting time to get into the room even though I got there 10 minutes before the appointment to fill up my information, so the massage was 45 minutes. I was expecting to get into a relaxing room with aromatherapies smelling and a bathrobe waiting on me, nothing of this happened, the massage lady showed me the room, left the room telling me I will be back, I thought she was going to get the bathrobe but nope, she came back into the room surprised that “I wasn’t ready yet “when she didn’t say anything about me taking my clothes off. The 45 minutes massage was okay, but I had have betters with experienced people. I wasn’t a good experience, I don’t recommend this particular place..
I booked an appointment I couldn’t keep so when I got the email I canceled then someone booked me another appointment without my request and when I got the email I thought it was the same one so I clicked opt out.I explained that to them and after several promises for a call back I never got one. I again called today and was told the Supervisor was out but would call me back at 4pm.No callback again, so very frustrated I called again and Mercedes-told me sorry no refund or even store credit as she says I booked again on line for that Friday at 10:30am? I never rebooked and they charged my credit cardI still have a. Gift certificate with money on itI was going to give to my daughter for her birthday now I’m scared to do that!!They are rediculous and steal your money now I need to cancel that card in fear they will keep charging it!!
As the owner of this location since it opened in 2008, Im happy to say that we have had zero turn over at the front desk in the last 10 months. It is the best team I have had in place in years. We have added some amazing new massage therapists and estheticians as well to provide outstanding services to our valued members and guests. I take team member and customer satisfaction seriously. Absolutely fantastic! Cindy and Jennifer are the best and truly make the experience relaxing and enjoyable. I am always cold, so they turn the bed on High heat and always get me another blanket. I have been going to this location for years and while they all say they are the same, I made this mistake of going to the Altamonte Springs location once but will never go back. The customer service at the Sanford location BLOWS the others stores out of the water!
I have rarely left any reviews at places but I could not let this go.I had a massage with “Anniesha” a couple of nights ago of who the they speak highly because of chiropractic experience and longevity. After explaining my concerns and what I wanted during the intake form I end up receiving a pat down with a LOT of lotion geez. I corrected her a couple of times in regards of pressure and to ease up on the speed since it felt like she was waxing her car. But as she sitting on the massage stool swiveling around the table I was hoping for a better result, I had urges to just get off the massage table and abruptly leave the establishment but I didn’t want to leave the wrong impression “well who cares I am the one paying for the service and I regret not doing so”. I have 6yrs massage therapist experience and it is always so difficult for me to find a place to go when I am getting such experience and this is the reason I don’t comeback, and well who is gonna sign for any memberships with this poor of service.With this review I need no apologies and false promises instead tell your employees be passionate, caring and support the mission and vision of your establishment. There is no space for wrong impression.
I have to say Im glad I didnt come here. I called to change my reservation to a couples massage for my birthday instead of a single. The person who answered the phone offered an 8am appointment, upon finding out this wasnt a good fit, she immediately offered a cancellation for my current appointment as a resolution to my issue. I could only imagine how the service would have been upon my arrival or during the cancellation fee window. Terribly disappointing.
Horrible. No choice of massage, relaxation massage was amateur at best. He complained how sweaty he was. I felt disgusting, it was hard to not get up and leave. The only thing that made me stay was the fact after he told me I would benefit from deep tissue vs relaxation. I WANTED deep tissue. Instead I had lotion rubbed on me for $50 plus tip. Btw, check out the suggested tip sheet. Lol. They clearly dont pay their employees enough. I work in fine dining. Our minimum tips suggestions arent 20 percent. Dont get massage here. Trust me.
It took me months to find a decent therapist of course after I found them they left to find a better opportunity. Its really sad how little places like this care about their employees it really shows with the revolving door of therapists coming through. Its a nightmare trying to cancel your service and they will try to convince you to keep it no matter how clear you are that you want to cancel. I have asked to speak to a manager multiple times and have never even seen them. Stay far away from this place unless you want to deal with the same things I had to.
After booking a couples massage for my husband and I we get there to find theres NO COUPLES massage room but no one said than on the phone!! A couples massage is TOGETHER!!!! We were taken to seperated rooms. I get massages weekly at a different location and Im familiar with there massages but this was HORRIBLE!!! She didnt massage ANYTHING! Instead she grab my leg and shoock it between 2 hans, pinched and poked at me joints. THIS WAS THE WORST experience ever!! I couldnt get out of there fast enoufh. I called the other Massage Envy in tears and scheduled an appointment for the SAME DAY!! I was in pain and just annoyed during the entire massage!!! I left there in more pain than when I got there!!
The massage was excellent as always. My therapist, Trista, is AMAZING! She always seems to just know which places need the most work, even though they change from one appointment to the next. The facility is always very clean and the staff very friendly and professional at the same time. If you want to treat yourself or a friend I definitely recommend going to this Massage Envy!
Steph is absolutely phenomenal! Ive been to many massage Envys, but I never thought anyone would be as good as the first woman I visited in South Florida often in Coconut Creek. All of them have been very good, but no one else has been great. Until Steph! She was phenomenal, and I will definitely be going to see her again! Tried to see her again this week and shes already booked up, and I certainly know why!
A magician, April did my massage. She spoke to me about what I needed; if there was a certain point of focus etc. I told her my concerns she and proceed to give me an amazing massage and relieved the tension and loosened my knotted shoulder. She wasnt afraid to dig in and really attack those areas. I felt very comfortable and relaxed; she wasnt rushing through it. I will definitely go back! Thank you April

My son used my card to purchase a membership for massages we have tried canceling several times but it is near impossible my card has been charged multiple times despite our attempts to cancel. Emails have been sent back and forward multiple times as well. Their last email said that they will be canceling the membership and he will receive no further charges from then on out but of course he did. be prepared to be charged $60 a month randomly untill you finally sue which luckily we have the money to do unfortunately most families do not and will have to sit back and take this mistreatment. I apologise on their behalf to you. I hope this does not effect your Christmas like it did ours.
The massage was mediocre at best, I was more frustrated half way through my massage than relaxed.Management didnt seem very interested in turning my experience into a positive one before I paid and left.So here we are.
I have been to a few massage parlors and have seen good and bad, but the people at the Sanford Spa are way above any i have seen. The girls at the desk are always smiling and courteous, very clean rooms, and a quiet atmosphere makes this place outstanding. And lets not forget that Amazing therapist named Trista!!Thank you everybody.
I had the same problem as SB. My daughter gave me a $125 gift card. Yesterday I tried to make an appointment. They refused without a card. I informed them that I had a $125 gift card. That did not matter. There should be info before a purc j axe to give people the informed opt o on of buying.My biggest concern in all of this is security of my information. If I could, I would give my daughter the money back and call it a day.
I absolutely love this Massage Envy location! My therapists never disappoint and the facility is always clean when I am in. The receptionist ladies Stephanie and Breanna were an absolute pleasure the other evening! They got me excited to try some facial appointments!
I had a great prenatal massage experience with Eliana. I went to her during the last half of my pregnancy and she really helped me work through some pains I was having, especially sciatic nerve pain. She also really helped me to relax! She was very knowledgeable in prenatal massage and I felt very comfortable in her care. I highly recommend her!
Everyone was so professional and kind. I had Sarah for my 90 minute massage and she really worked out my kinks. I recommend her 10xo over!
Horrible front desk staff customer service. Called Sunday & booked couple massages for 10 a.m. Tuesday, then get a reminder stating the staff scheduled 12:00 p.m. instead, so I said that would not work, bc we fly home on Tuesday afternoon, so she scheduled us for 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. We show up at 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday & the front desk says, oops, sorry we accidentally booked you for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday......of course, it seems to be a life w increasing incidents of poorly trained, I dont care work ethics, and lazy management......pitiful.

I was inquiring how I could finish the three hours I have left because I cancelled my membership and I wanted a friend to use any of my time left. She wouldn’t give me her name, lied her hours of work, refused to give me her supervisor’s name. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS LOCATION!!!

Former front desk associate. STAY AWAY from this POORLY RUN business. And by all MEANS do not sign up for a membership with this location. They constantly lose confidential client paperwork. Constantly charge clients cards without authorization and conveniently misplace cancellation and freeze request forms. The staff is poorly treated hence the high turnover rate of front desk associates and they do not care for or treat their terapists well either. GOOD LUCK booking an appointment as they loose therapists due to poor working conditions. STAY AWAY. you can find a good therapist with NO BINDING CONTRACT. They will screw you over if you sign up for a memebership here.

Scheduled for deep tissue massage for 1 hour and the majority of time she massaged me with her elbows and forearms and barely used her fingers on my back. The facility charges your credit card manually (no signature) and was double charged plus I verbally stated 15% tip and they charged $15 extra on top of it! Of course I disputed with my bank but what a pain. Thats what I get for trying something new.
Also as a former front desk associate as this location, I would like to back up most of the statements in Melissas review. Some of the business practices of Massage Envy as a corporation are shady. More specifically to this location, however, I would say that the problems lie only with the upper management. Lake Marys in house business manager, Amrita Channa, is an amazing supervisor and a God send to this location. She worked very hard to turn the business around and bring the team to their highest point. You can ask any of the front desk or massage therapists and they will tell you just how great of a person and manager she is. That being said, if you were a previous, current, or even future employee of this location I am sure that you can almost 100% back me up on the fact that Chantelle Simonelli WILL make you feel as if you need to constantly watch over your shoulder and your employment is being threatened. And there is no use in trying to take up how you feel you are being treated with anyone higher up because the franchise owner, Jeff McKenna, knows about these issues and will do absolutely nothing to rectify the problem. While there are some of the best massage therapists in central Florida at this location, please think twice before you fund an employer who promotes his employees being treated in such a manner.
Terrible company dont purchase the membership they will continue to charge. It is not easy to cancel, once they get you to sign that contract they are not letting go. Be prepared to pay $60 every month for at least 5 months.
Paid for my pregnant wife to have a 60 minute massage, but she was only give 45 minutes exactly. The massage therapist would not let her relax, but instead, insisted in listening to her music with her and kept talking to her. She came away feeling upset rather than refreshed. I will be sending her elsewhere next time.

The Sanford, FL clinic in Seminole Towne Center has been consistent in delivering quality with both massage therapists and estheticians. I am also a massage therapist and can quite particular about spa services.One esthetician in particular has made a incredible difference in the life of my aging skin....Billie Patrick. Her expertise resulted in visible differences beginning with my first visit. Within a few sessions with Billie, I scheduled a standing monthly facial session and have become a Billie Patrick Devotee. In addition to the obvious results in the appearance and integrity of my skin, Ms. Patrick brings a spirit that is kind, nurturing and always open to a laugh. I now always look forward to my monthly visit and when on occasion I have needed her assistance on weeks other than my regular visit, she has been responsive and flexible with her schedule whenever possible.If you are in need of a new esthetician of the highest quality, considering the needs of aging skin or simply want to treat yourself.... Definitely not as up-selly as Hand and Stone. My massage was an hour, and I did it at a medium pressure. It helped me out a lot before going to Utah the next day!
