Shining Massage & Facial Clinic

This was my first time at Shining Massage. They were referred to me by a friend and it was a great massage. Very professional. Very intuitive. I will definitely be going back regularly!

All I can say is WOW! My husband found this hidden jewel. We booked a couples massage and I have to say it was hands down the absolute best massage weve ever had. I had so many knots walking in there and left with none. We both felt amazing. I wish I lived closer as we would frequent here monthly. We will definitely be back, but will certainly recommend to the many friends and clients we have in this area. Many thanks from Frank and June!

DO NOT get cupping at this location with your massage. I blistered (see picture below) and still have a burning pain/sensitivity to the touch for 4 days now (I got the massage on Friday and it’s Tuesday) it’s been difficult to sleep and even drive. I brought it to the attention of the owner and she told my mother who was very concerned with how much pain I was in that I walked in with blisters and that it was ok to put cupping on top of my blisters. I NEVER walked in with blisters and you can see the blisters within the cupping marks. The massage therapist told me to take a shower 4 hours later (which I found odd at the time as I didn’t know I blistered yet till I got home) i listened to her but it did nothing to help me. The therapist was very hard to understand as well. Once I got home from the massage and looked in the mirror I noticed the blisters and the pain was getting worse and worse especially when I took a shower at 8pm. The manager did absolutely nothing in terms of customer service. She said it was “normal” to blister and sent me an article. Do I have to read an article after a massage to know how to heal? No. There was no waiver or anywhere before the massage saying I could blister. I’ve had MANY cupping massages before and never blistered and had this much pain days later. You should feel rejuvenated day 2 after a cupping massage not experiencing pain and blisters. The manager offered NOTHING to me so I’m writing my first bad review for a business. Worst customer service ever!

What a gem! This is one of the best massages in my life, and I have been getting massages for 15 years. If you are looking for a deep tissue massage, go here and ask for Lily. She is tiny but has extreme strength - and knows exactly where my body needs work, without having to even tell her (there is a language barrier but we understand each other). I am muscular and have a lot of knots and prefer really deep, and Lily is PERFECT for someone like me. They also use hot stones complimentary at the end and is really great to soothe those worked muscles.Great location, lots of parking, and affordable. This place has everything youre looking for - Lily and Ana are great. As long as I live in SRQ, I will be a loyal customer at Shining Massage.

This will be the first time I have voluntarily provided a review, and the reason for doing so Is the massage I had today was the best that I’ve had, and I’ve had many. I believe the masseuse’s name was Anna, who was able to identify pain points & worked with great skill to relieve the muscle tightness in my back & quads. I will definitely be returning. The only reason for the 4 star is The price for the hour massage was $10 higher versus what was shown on their website. Additionally, there was a $10 coupon provided by Yelp that was not honored.

So the massage itself was good, but I wasn’t happy about the transaction. I booked a 1 hour deep tissue massage ($90). I only had $10 cash on me, so that was the tip I offered. I would expect to tip $10-15 on that type of service. The lady says the tip is too low, and points to a sign with tip guidelines. It said something like 22% tip for “good job”, 25-30% tip for “great job”, and 35% tip for “excellent job.” I offered to add to the tip but it would have to be on card; she agreed. When I offered to add another $5 tip on card (totaling $15 with the cash I gave), she said that’s too low and I should tip another $10, to make my tip total $20, pointing to the sign again. I said you can’t dictate someone’s tip like that, but fine I’ll tip you a total of $20. When she punched in the $10 on her card machine, the card machine doesn’t read that the amount is a tip, so it automatically asks “if you would like to tip.” She pointed that to me to ask if I wanted to tip on top of the $10 tip the card transaction was charging me! At this point I was really annoyed.Even if someone disagrees with me and thinks my original tip was too low, I just think it’s rude to have a sign with tip guidelines ranging from 22-35% and to push a guest to pay more in the manner that took place. If you’re expecting 22-35% tip, just make your massage rates higher.

My husband and I just had two wonderful massages and we look forward to booking another one later in the week. Anna and Lily gave us two of the best full body massages we’ve ever had! I highly recommend Shining Massage.

Had a great massaage! Anna (?) wasnt afraid to get deep into my trouble areas. I have a membership somewhere else, but there were no openings. Im so glad I tried Shining. Ill be closing other acct.Only reason I didnt give 5 ⭐️... headrest was uncomfortable & couldve used a lil essential oils (peppermint, lavender). When your face is there for so long, would be nice to be comfy & scented to relax more. All in all tho, great massage. Ill be back.... soon. 😊

No waiting on appointments forever. Personalized massage for your pressure and where you need worked. Very professional and caring. Everytime I need a massage I book that day and within a few hours I can get in. Mainly, they know how to actually heal you and where to work.This has been my best place so far. ZERO STARS. Other reviews might be great but my experience was not. I booked three massages online with confirmation, then I called the day before to confirm as well. Day of they called us to confirm we were still coming only to show up and be told that only two masseuses were working today and that they were unable to accommodate three massages today. Now I’m stuck sitting here for two hours while the other members of my party enjoy their massages.

Did a deep tissue massage with Anna, my shoulders and neck were in so much pain and after leaving the massage I feel amazing!! She was so wonderful and kind and helped me so much. Thank you Anna !!

What an amazing experience I had today. An hour long massage with hot stones at the end, I did NOT want the massage to end. I decided to try the new place. Wow is all I can say. Hands down the absolute worst massage I have ever had. I specifically asked her to avoid certain areas and she massaged the areas anyway. In addition to that, Ive never had a therapist use that much hot stone even not ask me like it ? There was nothing consistent or good about the massage. I left feeling more stressed and unfortunately irritated.👎👎👎👎👎

I literally cannot describe just how good this place is! I had a massage and facial session with Melody and oh my gosh it was amazing! She is so talented and professional. This was my first spa day and she made me feel very comfortable throughout the entire process and checked in multiple times to make sure everything was perfect (it was!). Felt some really huge knots in my shoulders, so I decided to search some massage places around town, for me and bf to get a couples massage. Found Shining Massage and booked a back to back massage, as there was only one person available.I am not kidding when I say I dont leave reviews, but I walked out of Shining Massage feeling lighter, looser, and like I found a new place to become a regular.She used a mixture of Swedish, Deep-Tissue, and Hot Stone Massage for only 65 a person!!! Hot tables, calming music, and nice atmosphere.No complaints whatsoever, except we wish we had booked for longer! Thank you Shining Massage for a wonderful experience.

No technique just rubbed oil, hardly used any pressure.Payed for full body massage and my back was barely massage , I decided tip her $2 Dollars The lady forced me to tip $20 for a 60minute massage that that felt like it only lasted 50minutePathetic place, only one 70 years old masseuse , I would not recommend to anyone.

I had a massage today that was one of the most incredible massages I’ve ever had. Melody was very knowledgeable of body mechanics her movements were smooth I was so at ease it was almost indescribable. I went in full of tension and as she worked on my body I literally felt a smile form on my face and when I left I was literally beaming from ear to ear. I could not more highly recommend shining massage. 10 stars out of five it was that good! I will be a regular customer for certain. You must go here, you will not be disappointed !!!

Stopped by this morning after texting yesterday to get a massage for what I believe is a pinched nerve. Very professional. I was worked on thoroughly and told that my shoulders were very tight. After my 1/2 hour massage both of my shoulders, arms, and neck felt much better. They seem to of loosened up my left shoulder. My right shoulder which was the more painful one will need another session. I am very happy with the results and look forward to my next visit next week.

This is way overdue as my massage was several weeks ago but it completely slipped my mind to give a review. They are totally deserving of this though! My boyfriend and I came in for a couples massage and had one of the best massages ever. Our therapists were both so professional, thoughtful and checked in as to whether the pressure was good or not. We left feeling so much more rejuvenated and relaxed. Thank you so much! We will definitely be back.

If I could give zero stars I would. I Booked a massage last minuteBecause I was in pain ( I still am in pain and now just annoyed) . 10/10 the worst prenatal massage Ive ever gotten. 😩 I honestly was crawling in my skin and couldnt wait for it to be over. I considered asking her to stop but decided to continue because I unfortunately was going to have to pay reguardless. There was no accommodations like there normally is for pregnant moms. My prenatal massage was 90 dollars - which is on the cheaper end, maybe this should have been my first indication of how bad it was going to be. I gave her a 20 dollar tip which I thought was more than fair because of how bad the massage was. I didnt want to be rude and give her what she deserves which was honestly nothing. She started laughing and said I only gave her a 10 dollar tip And pointed at her tip sign for precentages. First off, I gave her $20 was a little over twenty percent. After guilting me I gave her 10 more so in total she got a 30 tip and this review. I wasted money and am in more discomfort than I was in when I went in. Hopefully someone has availability tomorrow and I can actually get a decent massage.Please note i was not able to respond to this lame response. I made an appointment after doing a walkin and there was nothing available. Not a problem at all. First off im 34 weeks pregnant which is not 9 months and if your therapist listened i told her that four times. I have had at least 50 massages this pregnancy and this was by far the worst one. I told her multiple times it wasnt enough. I guess thats what you get for going to a place that needs to put signs up saying they arent a jack shack. You had better hope shes legal and certified because unfortunately for you I will be having you investigated. And $20 is not ten percent of 90.. im sorry you dont know how to do math. I truly hope you get shut down and rot.

I was able to book a last minute massage on Thursday, June 8, 2023. On my way to the appointment I was called and told that my appointment needed to be changed from 7:30 pm to 8:00pm. I arrived around 7:40 pm and was ok waiting in the waiting room, but was surprised when a woman ushered me into a room. I then waited on a massage bed for 20 mins under a single sheet that barely covered the table. I was about to leave when the therapist came in.During the massage there were moments when other therapist came into the room to get something (I couldnt see as I was face down), the door was left open and the therapist left the room to speak with another person. The massage itself was terrible as she provided hard, uncoordinated, rushed and uneven strokes. I have bruising and pain from where she massaged my back.In the end I was so mad and frustrated that I just paid and left, because I dont feel like it was the therapists fault. Im not really sure she is even licensed. I have had many massages and my niece is a LMT and I have never had an experience like this.Bottom Line: Dont go here if you want a relaxing and peaceful massage.

I had a 120 minute massage this morning with Melody. It was the best massage I have ever had. Melody listened to me about my trouble spots and injuries and got right to work. Also the place was extremely clean and comfortable. I will definately be back. I have usually been getting massages once a week elsewhere, but I think I have found my go to place.

I booked online for my gf for a 230 appt. She arrived early, but wasnt seen until 3. Then was given the wrong massage, and had to pay extra even though I had already paid online. Very unorganized. She said the massage was decent, but rough on her shoulders. I definitely would not book here again...

My husband and I heard wonderful things about Shining Massages staff and their professionalism. We scheduled and prepaid for a couples 90 minute massage. Unfortunately I called to cancel just hours before we were scheduled to go because with a hurricane right around the corner, there was no relaxing and we just had to get back to our 3 babies at home. I called, explained the sitch, and before I could even get the words Im just so concerned and worried they offered to do a full refund and did! So compassionate and understanding! Just walked out from the best massage of my life! Coming from a person that works out and runs, my muscles are very tense.First of all - Facility is brand new, very clean, smells amazing.I got a deep tissue massage, it was with all honestly a really fantastic sport massage (professional, where they know how all muscles are connected). I truly enjoyed my facial and massage treatment. Very relaxing and thorough. My only complaint is that it was really cold in the room and the sheets were thin. But both ladies were lovely and attentive.

I had a massage and a Diamond Hydrafacial. Both were amazing! I honestly can’t say which I enjoyed more. Both technicians were professional, obviously very experienced and paid attention to my needs. They were so accommodating! Offering hot stone massage, a warm blanket during the facial, etc. The facility is easy to locate and has plenty of parking. The interior is sparkling clean and the decor is clearly designed to soothe away stress and promote relaxation. The oils and lotions they use are just wonderful and of obvious high quality. Please patronize this business! You won’t regret it and they deserve to be successful!

Excellent 90 minute massage by Amber. I hold all my stress in my neck, shoulders, and back. I was extremely tense and my muscles were very tight. Amber fixed all of that and more! She used hot stones, strong hands and even mixed in some reflexology. She is very knowledgeable. I felt I was even walking straighter and taller when I left. Soooo much more relaxed.
