Savannah Smiles is a MUST! This is the best piano bar in the ENTIRE 🌎 world! The musicians are phenomenal. They sing all genres and the atmosphere is fun. It doesn’t matter if you are 21 to 91, you will have the best time. There is no other place I would rather be! ❤️ In addition, the servers make sure you have what you need. From cold drinks, 🍺🍹🥃Jell-O shots to the best corn dogs! Savannah Smiles👏🏻 is 👏🏻a 👏🏻MUST! 🎹🎶🎤
Great place! I was amazed at the variety of music. The wait staff was amazing. With all of the people I figured it would take forever to get served. Nope! Our waitress was great! It was great to see everyone relax and have a great time. Great place for all young and old. Shout out to Thomas...he is a Savannah legend! One of the best men I have ever met!
We only had one evening in Savannah for a bachelorette trip and had a blast at Savannah Smiles Dueling Pianos! Great bar food/ items to snack on while drinking. They had a huge drink menu to choose from and their staff was amazing and super attentive even in a large crowd. And of course I cannot forgot to mention the amazing band who entertained us all night! They played a huge selection of music with a huge range from country to pop to 80s rock.Make sure to come early to get a table and bring lots of cash for the dueling pianos- they take tips for song requests and phrases of the night, the cash bar (they take card at the other bars but one is specifically cash), and the Jell-O shot syringes (they take cash and card).
Savannah Smiles is a must-visit! The energy is always high, and the performers are incredibly talented, engaging the crowd all night long. Its an institution in Savannah, offering a unique, interactive experience where you get to pick the songs. The service is fantastic, and the atmosphere is always fun and welcoming. Whether youre a local or just visiting, youre guaranteed to have a great time here. Highly recommend for a memorable night out!
One of my favorite things to do is go to piano bars, so I look for them whenever I travel and have been to many all over the country. Smiles is without a doubt the best one. The staff is incredible, from the bartenders to the wait staff, and the incredible musicians. Ive now been probably 8 or 10 times and it has never disappointed me. Its a MUST when you are in Savannah!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!! We’ve come here anytime we are in Savannah. It’s $10 cover. The talent of the musicians is great!! Ron, Holly, and Marty are phenomenal. You can write song requests on the napkins for some cash. Service of the bartenders is great, they are always checking on you. We did order fries and wings on our last visit which were fine for bar food. If you want a fun, good evening, come here!
After living near Savannah for a year and a half we definitely should have come here sooner. The bar staff was very attentive and the piano players were of course the star of the show keeping everyone entertained. The only downfall was my wife directed us down the historic steps when it wasnt necessary.
Lost my wallet and the staff handled it immediately. Pulled the footage and returned it back to me promptly! Very thankful and they were excellent! Drinks were also great
I threw my wife a surprise party there. The owners were very accommodating, our server was fabulous, the entertainment was awesome (as usual), the food was great, the restrooms were nice and clean, and all in our group had a wonderful time. I’d strongly recommend Savannah Smiles Dueling Piano bar to anyone that’d like to have a good time in a great party environment.
Amazing place for our co workers going away party and another ones birthday. From people you barely know, to your closest friends, this place is AWESOME! On very last minute notice they accomodated our party of 20 with a reserved table right next to the stage! WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Went here in March. It was such a fun bar to go to! Ben was amazing and loved that we were at his first show when he came back! Highly recommend if you are staying in Savannah GA!
I have been to dueling piano bars all over the country and there is absolutely no other like Savannah Smiles!! The talented players are exceptional , the atmosphere and the staff are absolutely amazing!!! I recommend visiting the club to anyone who is looking to have a great time while in Savannah!! It’s absolutely a MUST whenever I am in town!!
Put in a request for a shout out around 11pm, which I PAID for. After 12am and hearing nothing, I asked the waitress when we could expect to hear. She said, “give me 10 minutes” then fifteen minutes went by and still nothing. We finally left. How hard is it to play a request? I understand they get a lot but over an hour seems more than enough. Especially after asking. Beware that it is purely a cash grab.
The music is great and the musicians are a treat. If you want to come in, you have to drink or you’ll be forced to leave, even though you pay a cover, which in my opinion, is just down right ridiculous. We drank, sat at a table, opened a tab, and when we didn’t “drink enough” we were asked to leave. We paid a $10/person entry fee and then on top of that had to drink the entire time we’re there? I just don’t understand this business model.
I have been here a couple of times now. Each time it has been a lot of fun and the players have always had great personalities and the vibe is always positive and energetic. There is hardly ever a person that does not have a smile on their face. I am always so amazed that the players can play and sing soooo many songs! Just fantastic!
I have visited Savannah smiles often. As a local. I can confirm that it is one of the best stops in the city. I have taken my parents in their 80s and my children in their 20s and 30s. They all loved it. I have visited piano bars in NY, Houston, Charleston, Chicago, Paris, and Munich. No one else comes close to this experience. Its a different format, all requested songs, and they can play anything. One minute youre watching the crowd sing sweet Caroline, and the next minute, they are playing the killers. It is especially fun in the fall when tourists from all over the country request their favorite football fight song, and then another, and another. Dont miss this awesome people watching, dancing, singing, fun time.
I’ve been here many times and always enjoy myself. On Saturday, 5/4 we came with a group of 20 or so, straight from a friend’s wedding reception. The bride and groom were there as well all dressed up still! We are all in our mid twenties. About half of us went in and paid the $10 cover. Seconds later, we went outside to find that the bouncer was claiming one person’s ID was fake although it was actually real. When the group tried to reason with him, he denied entry to all of the rest of them. The bride’s mother even came out to ask him to reconsider. He rudely told her that he had seen her drinking inside all night and she was crazy. It reality we had just shown up. I asked if he could call a police officer to come scan the id and he told me I was making a huge deal and holding up the line. We didn’t even hear one song before we left with the rest of our group. $100 in covers for those that got in just to have a very special night ruined by the bouncers ego. My story is a lot like Mary’s, who seems to have had the same exact experience that night. Even the security guard by the cover counter told me the bouncer is a jerk. If I see this guy bouncing next time, we are turning the other way. Do better.
Always a great time! The energy brought by the pianists and the crowd make for a memorable night every time! Nothing else like it in Savannah!
Highly recommend! They rotate 4 pianists with two on stage at a time, alternating playing requested songs. One of the pianists didnt play audience requests and instead played classics they performed well so it was disappointing to give money with song requests only to have them ignored by this pianist. The one younger guy played a piano guitar for one song and the girl sang a great rendition of Wrecking Ball. They all were greatThe best tables in the place are all listed as reserved at the start of the piano session but then they randomly just remove the reserved signs a few hours later. That was annoying.
Had an amazing night with old and new friends!! Highly recommend for a good time, the entertainment was top notch as well as our service, never had an empty drink all night, our server was on top of things!! (Didn’t eat, so I didn’t rate the food)
I requested a song to celebrate my sister in law and an hour later it still had not played, I asked about it and they said “give me 10” it still didn’t play. I was very disappointed because we had planned this stop due to all the great reviews. The lady’s were lovely but I was very sad I never heard the request I PAID for!!
I have been affiliated with a plethora of piano bars over the years. Savannah Smiles is hands down the best club in the country. The atmosphere is unlike any other and the staff is a family that welcomes customers with open arms. Memories are made each night. Savannah Smiles is good for the heart. ❤️
Sigh. Was looking forward to a place with dueling piano bars and a good time overall. Dont go here if youre looking for that. They try to claim 1800 people in attendance but it was a ghost town when my party came through. The bouncers are on a power trip and really aggressive. I understand theyre just doing their job but some of the judgment calls they make are mind boggling. Seems to be a common theme here.
Awesome place to spend a night (or Two) with a great staff and a great show! The vibe is Party and Smiles. I look forward to the next time I can be there! Say Hello to Mr. Thomas!
My friends and I came from New England to Savannah for the weekend. We are all 24 years old friends from college. We stumbled upon smiles and go in line. The bouncer looked at my friends drivers license from New Hampshire and claimed that it was fake and that she should be grateful that he wasn’t taking it from her. We explained that her ID was in fact real. He proceeded to scream at us and tell us that if we didn’t leave immediately that we were trespassing. We asked to speak to a manager and he refused. We exited and called the establishment and a manager came out. He said that “he cannot override him”. He proceeded to disrespect other patrons in line as well who shared their stories. The bouncer was a skinny short man with an over grown beard and a hat. There’s more details than this. He truly ruined our night. I do not recommend this place whatsoever.
Service was good, drinks were fairly priced. What turned me off was the chewing gum chewing pianist, screaming (not singing) performers and the type of audience this place draws. See audience provided text on photo. I have been to numerous dueling pianos bars before in New Orleans, San Antonio, Nashville, Austin and others. None lowered them to these standards. It was bad.
What a fun amazing night! The musicians are amazing. I haven’t had that much fun at a bar…ever! Can’t wait to go back!
What a rip off and disappointment. Saw all these great reviews, but big let down. We sent up $10 with a birthday song request at the very beginning of the night, and it was never played. When we sent up a note complaining, they crumbled it up and tossed it. Nice way to treat customers! Won’t be back, neither should you.
My daughter & took a Mother daughter trip to Savannah for Mother’s day and this was Definitely one of the Highlights of our stay! The place was Rockin! Fun! Great Entertainment- a Must stop place if you are visiting Savannah!
It’s always a good time here! Performers are outstanding. There’s always a carefree, good time vibe whenever we visit. Highly recommend !
I would not advise anyone to go to Smiles. My boyfriend and I were incredibly disappointed in this establishment and the OVERLY RUDE bouncer at the door. The bouncer refused us entry based on the fact that we had been drinking at another establishment. We were simply trying to calmly enter to enjoy some dueling pianos. It appears in the last few weeks there have been other reviews stating similar issues with the rudeness of staff. Unlikely this is coincidental.
I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. A must do in Savannah. The musicians are fantastic. They can and will play almost anything you request. They are great performers and entertainers. I think I danced for 4 hours straight. So MUCH fun!!!! The service there is also stellar. Try to sit in Lotuss section. She really knows how to handle a large crowd and keep everyones drinks filled and happy. She was amazing. I love this place and cannot wait to visit Savannah and Savannah Smiles again😃❤️
Dualling piano bar.If you ever been to a real Dualling piano bar then pass this one. If it your 1st one, then you will like it. It wasnt the way weve see other Dualling piano bar performances. This was off, The part that they tell you if you want the pianist to play your song then tip them, the best the tip the more chances of your song will be played.Sorry weve been around the World and never came across a singer, band openly asking for tips to play your song. Every now and then we send some drinks back stage but on our own will.
Been coming here for years with my wife and it is by far our most favorite spot for live music and entertainment in Savanah! We have literally stood in line and waited for them to open and left when they closed, spent a lot of time enjoying the talented musicians on stage.Drink prices are VERY fair and reasonable served by some of the best bartenders in Georgia. Beer is cold and the mixed drinks are very tasty! While your at it, make sure you get several of their Jello Shooters in the syringe!Cant say how much we love this place - the musicians are so very talented and entertaining. Get you a seat up front, you wont be disappointed.Im going to leave you a tip: put a $20 on a napkin and write WAP WAP WAP by Cardi B on it. Youll get one hell of a show if you do.
Savannah Smiles is hands down the best dueling piano bar I have ever been to. The staff from the time you get in to the time you sit down is amazing. The crowd is very engaged with the artists making it a night to remember. Special thanks to Ben and Alissa for completely crushing it all night long! I was lucky enough to see Ben perform Journey - Separate Ways on the keytar, what an amazing experience!! All in all this is the best place to be in Savannah if your looking for good live entertainment.
Stopped here this past Saturday night while visiting Savannah. Real nice place! There was a $10 cover charge (idk if its always like that), but we were fine with it. We had a few cocktails while enjoying the music. I must say all the piano players (plus a drummer) were very, very good. Men and women played great popular songs while keeping the crowd going. It was a great fun night!! Would definitely visit again if and when in town.
Hostess was not sweet or hospitable. They allow vaping so HARD pass. Trying to live a beautiful life which does not involve this place.
We stumbled upon this place walking up from River Street and it was the best thing we did. We had so much fun that we went Thurs, Fri, and Sat night. The staff was amazing and special shout out to Shannon for taking care of us behind the bar. The performers are very good and can play just about anything you can think of. If you go on a Fri or Sat, make sure you get there before 8pm or youre going to be looking for somewhere to randomly stand. I cant recommend this place enough.
Super nice place to go to for a night out. Our group left a cellphone there and we were able to pick it up the next morning. The manager who helped us was great. The rest of the staff was equally as lovely and helped us have an amazing night
Had an amazing time!! Went during the St. Pattys Day weekend and this place is incredibly fun!! Service was great, food... bar bites... atmosphere was mad crazy!! Make sure to give a hefty tip to the musicians in order to get your song request played. I loved how they twisted words around to songs and brought the audience in.
This was my first time here, but I totally loved it. So fun to watch the entertainers duel it out. They are talented and keep the fun vibe going. There is opportunity to request songs, order drinks and snacks. The reason why there is not a full five stars is simply for the fact the bathrooms are not maintained during the night. There is an essence of uncleanliness that the party atmosphere just can’t erase. It is a fun place for a great time, but bring your own sanitizer.Oh and the Jell-O shots are super!
Traveled to Savannah to enjoy this bar for my son’s 27th bday with his 24 yr old sister. . The illiterate thugs at the door challenged a legal 24 year old license. She was questioned & answered all details as they were real. Still no entry. Yet you did not take the presumed “illegal” ID. SHADY BEHAVIOR AT BEST.Grungy managementSeems very discriminatory
If you enjoy dueling pianos, this is the best spot in the state. It gets packed, and the bar is super busy. Get there when the doors open and get a table in the front area. The wait staff is amazing and provides great service despite the crowd. The crowds vibe is chill, and everyone can have a great time no matter what kind of music they love or how old they are. Patrons ranged from 18-90 years old.
I would give NEGATIVE stars if I could. From the moment we walked up my niece was called a liar and told her ID was fake. She is 21 and had proper ID. Her mother was with us and confirmed everything they asked. They finally allowed us in and the waiter was rude and refused to serve our table and the manager threw us out for calling him rude. I’m sorry but you don’t treat customers that way. We called him rude because he copped an attitude when we asked him to put our song and money on the piano. At no time did anyone raise their voice or curse at him. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! Sad that her bachelorette party was derailed. Shame on you and your establishment for allowing your staff to speak to customers the way we were spoke to.
A group of us went this past Saturday night for a 50th birthday celebration. We were treated top notch by the help of Trip and Cord. We opened the place and closed it! The musicians were phenomenal and there was not one break in entertainment. There were four of them that rotated all evening, and knew all genres of music that were requested. They knew how to work the crowd. The drummer played all night with no break and he did not have any back up! Our waiter Travis was very attentive and kept our drinks and food coming. Will definitely go back the next time in town. Thanks for an incredible evening❣️
Players good, but actually kinda hard to hear the pianos over drums and other instruments. Manager saved a lot of seats for friends. Patrons could not get one. Kinda violates the whole first come first served thing.
We went on a Thursday and it wasnt really busy until later at night. On Fridays and Saturdays there is a line around the corner to get in. So get there early for a good table and no line. The cover charge on all days is $6.Table service was super attentive and friendly. They have drinks and light bar bites. They take song requests (with tips - so bring cash in small bills) and will bring people onstage to dance if you are celebrating a special occasion. We went for a Bachelorette and it was a great time, we brought the bride on stage to song one of her favorite songs.Would go again!
Such a fun place for a bachelorette party!!!! The bartenders were soooo attentive. The crowd was friendly and the music was great
The bouncers are clearly power tripping. A man got kicked out for helping the drummer with a fallen cymbal stand. An entire room having a good time watched a bouncer aggressively kick out a paying guest with the best of intentions. No harm was meant, caused, or done. This is literally dueling pianos—maybe a notch above open mic karaoke—not a Metallica concert.
Fantastic place thats FULL of energy! Not many seats so get there early! The musicians were wonderful, funny, and knew so many songs! Tip well if you want a phrase on the mirror or your song choice played! 10$ cover charge. One bar area takes a card and another is cash only. The place has a 5$ photo booth in it!
Best piano bar in the whole wide world! I always have so much fun comin here and recommend it to everyone!
Went here for my bachelorette and we spent the whole night there. We got there early and were a little apprehensive because it was empty but it filled up QUICK. All of the performers were so talented and would play ANY and ALL types of music. They were great sports and I loved all the attention they gave the brides! I felt so special! Also loved the shots that came around to the tables and our waitress was incredibly attentive. One of the few places where I felt like I had a steady flow of drinks coming our way ALL night. Such a great time!!
On the night I attended it wasnt quite dueling pianos in the way that you expect. It was pianos dueling drums. So the stage setup had to pianos and a drum set in the middle of them. The drum set accompanied every song and was honestly so much louder than the pianos and the singing. This made it difficult to hear anything.I will also say that I thought the format of dueling pianos was that both pianists would play a song or popcorn back and forth during a song to see who was the better player of a singular song. Here a pianist would play a full song and then take a break while the other pianist would play a full song. So its not so much dueling and more just live music by 2 pianos.
Hands down one of the most fun evenings you can have in Savannah. That being said, you need to embrace it and take part in the singing and requesting of songs. If you’re a stick in the mud you i sure hope you like other random people signing. The pianists all were great and were also great entertainers.Great fast drink service at decent prices.Cover charge was 10$ on a Friday night. Also very worth it.
A must do for a weekend trip! We loved Savannah Smiles! We sang and danced the entire visit! A extraordinarily good time!
Outstanding, fun place to address any of your nightlife outings. Excellent entertainment with crowd interaction and relaxed, fun atmosphere. Make this a top must visit on your next trip to Savannah and let Marty, Ben , & the Team impress you as much or more than they did us?! Thanks for making our 15 YR Anniversary an absolute BLAST !!!!!!
Weeknight cover is $6, not bad at all. Musicians were incredible! Had cocktails and listened to the 🎶. Very good atmosphere everyone friendly. If youve never been you need to! Great location and Vibes!
I visited this establishment on a Saturday in March while on spring break from the University of Georgia. In the bar, they have whiteboards where patrons can pay to have whatever message they would like written to display for the entire bar. While I was there, someone used this to display a message with harmful political ideology unjustly capitalizing on the recent tragedy of Laken Riley’s death. As a UGA student, I was extremely bothered by this, as it had been only a week and a half since her passing. I understand the nature of the boards allows messages that are often crude in content, but I felt that this was extremely disrespectful and crossed a line. I expressed my discomfort to multiple employees, most of whom were immediately sympathetic and wanted to help, and they all directed me to their manager. When I talked to the manager, I was immediately dismissed and told to deal with it, as it was “freedom of speech and nothing could be done.” Any establishment that is comfortable letting tragedies be publicized in such a disrespectful manner, and so dismissive of anyone’s resulting distress, is not one that I will be returning to. I hope that the attitude of the management of this bar will change so that the fun atmosphere and music can return to being their priority.
Great Time! Great Food! Great Atmosphere! Great Music! Superior Service….and….tons of Smiles!
Blond singer was awful. We left because of her alone. Everyone else was great!!!!
So this is the kind of place where you are not going for the food. Dont expect obsequious easier staff or dinner dining experience. This is a place for one thing only... Having a blast!I havent had this much fun in a bar in the last 20 years. Bring a big group of friends and a list of your favorite songs. Oh it helps if you like to sing along.
Amazing entertainment. Mediocre cocktails. But we had so much fun here!
I had a lot of fun here while visiting Savannah with my wife. The performers are great and they keep the crowd engaged. Its more than just a novelty spot too... Id go back here regularly if I lived closer. had a great time!
Fun, good entertainment for the whole family that’s over the age of 21. A lot of silliness and piano playing. The piano, players we’re very energetic and encouraged crowd participation. They were very funny, due to the nature of the number of drunk, and Savannah the entire visit was hilarious, with many misunderstandings, and other funny things happening while we were there. We always felt safety with security around, and there is a charge at the door.
Have been a few times and always have a great time. Talent is phenomenal!!
Had a blast here! Loved the evolving quote board. I danced and sang with a bunch of my friends! The singers and players were quite a talented bunch! There were people celebrating different occasions: a bachelorette, a birthday girl, and anniversary, in addition to our crew from EMAG 2019. I look forward to going again next time I am in Savannah!
Brandie and I had a great time last Friday. I i have been somewhat of a regular and I highly recommend it. Craig, Ben, Hannah, Marty and the new awesome Holly . Go see them. You wont regret it.
This place was an excellent place to start off our Bachelorette party. They pulled me on stage and embarrassed me in the most hilarious way. We had such a fun time dancing and singling along to the songs. It was a large place and very accommodating for large parties, I would call ahead or get there early to reserve a table.
Terrible. Bad atmosphere with subpar performers who don’t encourage fun. Do not waste your money here.
Amazing time with entertainment. The waiter we had didnt pay much attention to us but I just went to the bar instead and started a tab. Very good crowd and very interactive especially if you Ike to people watch.
Gets crowded on Saturday nights so arrive early to grab a table. And if they look full, most people sitting two at a table for four will be happy to share if you ask. We noticed lots of places for people to sit if anyone bothered yo ask.Great vibe the later the night goes with full on pandemonium after 11. Great piano playing, lots of crowd singing, swaying and cheering.
This place was fun the girl singer is better than the guy singers but after a few drinks and some song a long it doesn’t matterOur party thought the mixed drinks were a little weakI asked for a liquid cocaine and asked the server if she knew it was and she said yesThey ended up giving me something called a liquid marijuana wasn’t what I asked forWe had a great timeThe food was delicious the burger was awesome and so were the tots
It was a great place. We got there around8:30 but no where to sit or really stand. It’s not much of a dancing bar more listen and sing along.Fun time other than the one standing area kept being told to move by servers or bar tenders because it was also where they serve and the only way for servers to get in and out
One of the coolest places in Savannah! A must hen visiting. Very lively atmosphere and talented musicians. Staff was welcoming and nice. Would definitely return!
A group of 4 of us stopped in on a Saturday night. We were entertained, a very fun experience. Our waitress was attentive to our needs and always asked if we needed anything. A difficult task while on the floor in a large crowd. Highly recommended.
If you cant show up at this place and have fun....well thats on you. Entertaining, excellent service, romantic, fun.
I think I should have done more homework on this one. We walked in, paid our $10 each and then realize there was no where to sit in the entire establishment. We stood near a railing for about 5 minutes and then we were asked to move...with no place to go. For those 5 minutes we listened to two different piano player,s play individual songs. There was no dueling at all. The crowd was extremely young, early twenties and they all seemed to having a great time. As mentioned, I should have asked a few questions before wasting my time and money.
Had a great time on a Thursday night. The pianists are talented and capable of taking all kinds of requests (for an appropriate price).Went for drinks around 10pm and ended up staying until 1am. Not sure if its normal, but it was 80/90% women and a fair few bachelorette parties.
I have never felt so disrespected, the staff gives no cares. I came here on a girls trip, had to pay a cover (totally fine), then we get in and pay for our song to be played - which is normal - but then it’s our turn and the “bouncer” tells is ‘sorry, younger prettier people are here, you now have to wait at least 30 more minutes. Then the manager came and told us we were not the clientele they aimed to attract.
Savannah Smiles Dueling Piano Bar is a pretty fun bar. Spacious, with multiple bars inside. The piano players were really good in working out the crowd and keeping the hype level between fun and raunchy stuff they do. Downside is there are too many attendants coming in for a bachelor /Bachelorette party, and they had each of this parties come up the stage all the time.
Visited here on a bachelorette weekend and had a good time! Was a little disappointed that the bride in my group did not get brought onto the stage even though we followed the directions for requesting a song with a tip. I have been to other piano bars where there is more dancing so I was disappointed at the amount of tables present here.
I love going to Savannah Smiles! I went there this past Saturday night with family and my absolute favorite performer is Ben Torres! I also saw him a year ago there. He puts on a great show and can sing any genre of music! He’s fantastic! My favorite is when he performs Separate Ways by Journey on the keytar. I can’t wait to go back and watch him perform again. Thank you Ben Torres for never disappointing!
Enjoyable evening until a bus load of men came in, they were loud and not going with the music plus one of them was a real dumb as* and acted just stupid. Would return, performers were very good and fun.
Pretty gross. Dont come unless youre into standing room, drunk bridal parties, mediocre performances,
We had a blast! The drink selection was good and the service was great! The performers were amazing.
Savannah Smiles was so much fun. The music was great, atmosphere lively, and the bartender behind the bar had my beers coming before I ever reached the bar. Great way to spend an evening in Savannah
Phenomenal experience. The perfect amount of rowdy-ness you want in a bar without the drama that you would find elsewhere. The performers are so good, it blew my mind to hear them sing and play certain songs.I’ll be coming back next week with some new friends.
Amazing place! Great atmosphere melting pot of a crowd and music is fun and inclusive with the audience. I havent seen a place like this since New Orleans, the drinks were good and strong and people were friendly. All around one of the best bars you will ever go to. One tip. Eat prior to going here because you will have so much fun you will forget about eating.
Didn’t eat the food but the atmosphere was fantastic. Pro tip: come at 7:30, get a great seat and drink reasonably priced drinks and be the envy of all the people that show up after 9:00
Went to Savannah Smile 2 nights in a row. We were in town for a bachelorette party. The first night, the guy on the piano said that my party was “uneducated “. I find this completely disrespectful. We are physicians, teachers, nurses, and MBA graduates. The second night, we paid for multiple songs to be played which were never played. When I confronted the “security” guy about it, he said I never gave him money and I told him to check the cameras. After going to their back room “office” they came back with my money and song request. This money was supposed to go directly to the musician, not to the business. At the end, the cocky, low life manager couldn’t even look me in the eye about the situation.I feel this place is a scam and a poor managed establishment that takes advantage of and disrespects the paying patrons.I highly do not recommend.Response: you are totally incorrect. I know exactly where my request came from. Based on other reviews, this business seems to prey on drunk women and I just think you were “surprised” you were not dealing with a drunk women, but actually a woman who wouldn’t back down to your and your staff’s disrespect. Your response to me shows exactly how low you are. Your message represents you and your business exactly as I thought it would.
Worse dueling piano bar Ive ever been too. The cover was $10 and they place was packed with nowhere to sit. People on the pianos were real rough and one of them was probably drunk. Waste of time and money. Dont bother.
Even the door guys are nice-ish. The entertainment is interactive: people invited to dance and sing for whatever reason. Lovely women everywhere and ogling men. Plenty of bars to purchase from.
It was fantastic. Our server was quick and checked on us just the right amount. Piano players were fun & engaged the audience without being obnoxious. We had a great time.
Its hard to go wrong with a dueling piano bar. However, I was slightly surprised they were OK with putting hate filled slogans on the back wall. Were at a bar; it should be a place to party with friends, not creating conflict.
Such a fun place! The music was great, the wait staff was super nice (Thanks Haleigh!), the drinks were STRONG, and the food was so good! Seriously, dont discount the bar food. The chicken tenders were huge and the cheeseburger was so good. If you even remotely enjoy live music, you HAVE to visit this place!
This was the biggest bummer of a piano bar Ive ever been to. Maybe we just hit the wrong night, but the musicians were mediocre at best. Service, bar, and atmosphere were great, but lord youd have to be tone deaf to hang out in there. Not an attraction Id recommend for travelers coming into town.
Loved this place in the past. Decorated Veteran of both Iraq Wars, Afghanistan and Bosnia. Now its a Trump disinformation, Klan supporting, Southern racist bar. Sorry I gave them any of my money. Wont come to Savannah again.
This place is such a great time. Only open Thursday, Friday, Saturday, so when Im visiting in the area I make sure to go every night. Great people watching and the pianists are pretty impressive with the scope of songs they can play.
I love this bar. There is always a great crowd of people, and the pianists are awesome. Its super fun to go, no matter if for date night or with friends and family, there will always be songs for everyone. The only thing that I find a little sad is, that the sentences on the mirrors always have to end in a political battle...but thats out of the places hands.
This place is an incredible experience. If you like piano bars, this is the largest dueling piano bar ever seen in my life. Make sure you get there early!
I dont know how to leave an accurate review without trashing the people who enjoy this place. This bar is for younger folks and people who have never been to a good dueling piano bar. The crowd is bach party central, the drinks are awful, the place is filthy, the waitresses at the tables hound you to keep ordering drinks if you want to sit down, and you have to pay a cover to get in. Unless youre really into dive bars, crowded college crowds, and screaming karaoke, Id skip this place and find something better.
May be this used to be good. Love the concept, music requests, sing and enjoy with friends and drinks However, This is not a welcoming place for all. On the phrase that patrons pay to write on the board, I understand , it’s game for patrons to pay for whatever. It can get interesting, no problem there. However, when the musicians/singers start changing the lyrics of the songs you request to political slogans, well way to spoil a fun night out! Not recommended for non conservatives, it turns into a political rally that you did not want to go to and worst of all paid to get in! awful cocktails, all tasted similar, may be all syrup based? Don’t know just had 3 very bad different cocktails. If you have any taste better go to any other music venue in beautiful Savannah.
This place is a blast! They put on a great show that is very entertaining and they are really good at getting the crowd involved. I was visiting from out of town and our Uber driver was the one who told us we have to go and it was the best recommendation all weekend. I would recommend getting there around 8 especially if you have a group larger than 4. The show starts around 8:30 and almost every table was taken right around then. Loved it!
Lots of fun. Crowd was really into it. The players were good and very entertaining. 10.00 cover charge. Bathroom was clean and wait staff was efficient.
While I dont typically do the bar scene, this place was awesome! The musicians were outstanding and belted out a wide variety of catchy tunes, and the waitresses were on point. Definitely worth the small cover fee, and after we found seating, the rest of the night was a blast. Cant wait to go back!
One of our favorite places to visit when we are in town.
I would give this place ten stars if I could! I’ve wanted to go to a place like this forever, and finally got the chance on our trip from NJ. The musicians were fantastic and had so much energy and great interaction with the crowd. They had a great mix of songs, some oldies and newer ones, they could definitely play it all! They had a few Bachelorette parties and newlyweds there and made a big deal out of hyping up those parties which I thought was really cute. The crowd was lively and fun, the drinks were really good and reasonably priced. Also, there was a bartender/waiter walking around checking that everyone always had drinks and seeing if anyone needed anything. He was one of the most attentive waiters or bartenders that I’ve ever been served by! Would love to come here again for my Bachelorette. Do NOT miss this if you’re in Savannah!
They put on a great show here. The crowd is into the music and the entertainment is top notch. The drinks were reasonably priced. There was a huge mix of patrons from college age to older people and everyone was having a good time. It was definitely fun! There is a cover charge to get in, I believe it was $5.
Entry fee, very crowded, water is bottled. Beyond that though was a great experience, music was awesome and so was service. Food was typical bar food but tasted great. I dont know how the servers do it in that environment but we were well taken care of.
Absolutely love the atmosphere. Drinks are reasonably priced for the location and while Ive never had anything to eat here the food is supposed to be pretty decent bar fare. Cant tell you how much fun this place is. You have to experience it for yourself.
The show was real nice. We got there early before it started so we could get a great seat. The musicians were great. In the beginning they tell how to get them to play a song. If your tip isnt more than 20$ it will not get played. If your not getting married, you arent even acknowledged. Pretty lame.On top of all this, the security does a poor job when you report safety hazards. Toward the middle of the night people started piling in. Our view was constantly blocked by drunk slobs who should have never been allowed to come in in the first place. We werent able to enjoy the show anymore. It was downhill from there. The fire Marshall shouldve been called. Two girls poured drinks on me and my friend on purpose. They were biligerently drunk. Yelling in our faces, etc. We reported them. Security laughed. It was ongoing all night. Its not safe here and no I dont recommend it.
Harassed by a “bouncer”…. Won’t be back. Won’t recommend. Do better!
A group of us were visiting from out of state and our Airbnb host suggested this place. It was awesome! There is a cover charge but drinks are pretty reasonable and the piano players rotate so there is never a break from the music. The piano players the night we went were fantastic. The younger guy who plays to the left of the stage needs a record deal-that is how good he is.Definitely go to Savannah Smiles-you wont regret it.
Every time we have a celebration or something. My friends and I love to try and end our night here. So if you come here be prepared to stay longer than usual.
Fun atmosphere for sure! I think its stupid as all get out to charge a cover though so stars removed for that. Im already going to buy your overpriced drinks then youre going to charge me to get in the door on top of that?!
Place is a fun place to be! Only been there for weekend nights. On the weekends there is a $5 cover and packed for good reason. The pianists are talented and amazing performers. Everyone is there for a good time and you can tell in the atmosphere. The songs are well known and sometimes has little artistic freedom that is refreshing from normal karoke fanfare. I recommend highly with a group of friends!
High energy and fun vibe. The music starts around 8pm and luckily we got there around 7:40 so got a table. It got crowded pretty quickly. The musicians were funny and only had 1 request they couldnt play. (Rage Against the Machine). Hopefully they will learn a Rage song because that would be fun to hear performed on pianos! Our server Lotus was awesome. Even though she got crazy busy and was totally running her tail off she always smiled and was so friendly!
Great atmosphere and the service was spot on, even with the huge crowd. The band was just incredible!!
Editing to add: Ive been here several times since my review and I love it even more every time. This is a must stop spot when Im in Savannah. Seaborne is the BEST!This place is so much fun!!! We popped in while visiting Savannah during a girls weekend. We had so much fun that we went back the next night too! Great vibe, reasonably priced drinks, awesome staff, and super talented musicians! We will definitely make this a regular stop while in town. Cant wait to visit again!
So much fun for adults of all ages! Wide variety of music played, and always some or all of the crowd singing along. I have never been to a place with such a unique music set up! Although it was a holiday weekend, with a $5 cover and the bar was very busy, still a fun 5 star experience.
So fun! Celebrated my bachelorette party in Savannah and this place was such a good time. The amount of talent the musicians have is out of this world. I had a great time drinking and singing along with all the songs. It’s a must go if you’re in the area. $5 cover but way worth it for all the fun we had! Can’t wait to go back.
We absolutely loved our time at Savannah Smiles! The pianists were incredibly talented and put on an amazing show. The service was great and there was a nice selection of drinks. Would highly recommend spending a couple hours watching these guys perform ❤️
It is definitely worth the $10 cover charge. There is a party going on in here. The show is fun. The piano players cover songs you would not expect. It does get pretty crowded making moving around and getting drinks difficult at times so be prepared for that.
Arrived after dinner on a Saturday in January and were still able to get seats. A handful of performers alternated at the piano (I cant imagine playing all night is easy) and were joined by compliments throughout the evening. The crowd and performers fed off each others energy. Very enjoyable. $6 cover charge. Absolutely will be returning.
This place was awesome! Good variety of music was performed, the Mac and cheese bites and egg rolls were great. Awesome atmosphere would highly recommend!
I dont hang out downtown very often ,but when I do go out Savannah smiles is one of my absolute favorite places to go. The service is always great and the food is very good. The place fills up quickly though so if you want to get a seat Id suggest you get there early. The musicians are all fantastic and its just an overall fun experience
Very entertaining. As it got more crowded, though, people were standing right in front of our table because it got so crowded & bl9cked our view of the stage
Big fun bar atmosphere. Drinks were good and not insanely priced. Piano players were talented, but they definitely didnt duel and the song choices were weird. Fun overall, but my love is the back and forth between pianists, and that just wasnt a thing when we visited.
Great entertainment! The girl piano player is my favorite! She can sing too! What a beautiful voice ! We’ve been here a couple of times , and the performance was just as great the second time.
This place is always crowded, for good reason, and the staff are always on top of it. I have never had a bad experience visiting Savannah Smiles and the shows they put on are fantastic. The pianists play decades worth of music so there will probably be something that appeals to everyone on any given trip. A must visit on any trip!
Fun place to visit. $5 cover. Pretty good selection of beer. Prices are on par with the rest of Savannah. Food was decent also. Crowd was older at the beginning of the night (8:30 PM), but became younger by the time we left (12:30 AM).
BEST PLACE EVER. went for my Bachelorette party, and had a blast. Our waitress was named Lotus and she took great care of us. highly recommend this bar for anyone that loves dancing and basically any type of music.
Not your typical dueling piano bar. Mostly just music without the dueling or playful banter I expected. Overpriced drinks for a place that also charges a cover. Good mix of music genres played.
Out of control patrons. Too many wild women, I paid 5 for pencil thin mustache by Jimmy buffet. They didnt play. Paid 65.00 for ok entertainment. The girl was outstanding. Too many people got drunk before they came. Our server was outstanding. Food was less than ok.
Had a great time. The guys on stage were fantastic. Service was a little slow, we ordered drinks at the bar and felt bad after because the server came around and checked up on us every 20 minutes or so for the rest of the night.
It was a lot of fun! The guys on stage were GREAT!! The bar was quick to fill your order even when it was a bit more crowded. Our whole party had a really good time!
Worthless waste of time. All seating was only for reservation. Standing room only. Place smelled like nasty rotten fruit from behind the bar. Over priced alcohol. Rude staff. Typical greasy bar food that was cold. Hated it. Will never come back, hope it burns to the ground with the dumb ass untalented piano players in it. Not sure how this place stays open.
Amazing atmosphere, good mix of age groups. The piano players are great at keeping the crowd excited. I have been here at least a dozen times and Im yet to see them get stumped on a song request. (No matter how crazy the request) Drink prices are good. Cover charge is reasonable. Definitely check it out.
My friends and I went to Savannah for a vacation. We went to dinner one of the nights here to hear the music. Musicians were excellent. Fun atmosphere, drinks were mediocre but I didn’t notice any serious issues at the time. I paid with my credit card, which our server took back and kept back for a while (to the point my friends and I began to wonder what was happening). We returned back to the West Coast, about not quite 2 weeks later and I get a call from my bank stating someone was manually inputting my credit card info traced back to a store in the East Coast. I immediately canceled that card and changed all my information to be safe. I went back looking through my bank statements and saw that I only used that card once on our trip which was at that bar. I called the manager to just let him know. (I wasn’t looking for anything nor at the time did I intend on writing a review, I just wanted to let him know as I’d like to know if I was managing a bar). The manager became very defensive, aggressive, and confrontational and hung up on me. (I have a witness who over heard the phone call as it was on speaker since I was doing house work while on the phone). A “thou protest too loudly” act for me and a huge red flag. Just a heads up to those touring the area, either dodge this place altogether or pay only in exact cash.
Great spot with some great players. We were visiting for a Bachelorette party and ended our night here. We mainly had waters and we got appetizers to soak up the alcohol that we just consumed over the course of about 1.5 hours during our haunted pub crawl.Whether you love music or not, I feel like anyone can get into the vibes here. From a COVID standpoint, they did take Temps at the door before you walk in. Ive had COVID, I got both of my vaccine doses, so I should be set, but I am one who will still wear a mask about. If you are someone who is really nervous about large crowds and maskless people, please note that I didnt see a single person in there with a mask. This has nothing to do with the score I gave them, just information for those looking to go and experience it.We ordered 3 boats of chicken tenders? 3 boats of fries and waters (mentioned previously). The food came out fairly quickly and the fries were amazing! Id love to come back and have a drink here while listening to music again! 10/10 would definitely recommend and will be coming back.
Some of the most wholesome fun I have had at a bar. Performers were great and knew how to work that crowd. Easy to get a drink and many other bars nearby. Recommend for anyone 22-92.
Undeniably a great social and entertaining environment! The pic attached was on a cold Friday night...the scene was scarce throughout town, but not at Savannah Smiles! This place brings people together...Ive been here before, my better half (glasses) had never been here before, the gentleman in the middle is a recently hired coworker moving into town in a month, and the couple on the right (ball cap and his wife in front of him) were making an overnight pit stop on their way down to Disney from Connecticut. We had a blast!
One of the best bar I have ever been! Looks like a normal piano bar, but then you’ll be amazed how talented the artists are. And the people? Gosh, they are pumped and so excited, amazing and fun crowd!
Wonderful place. Well worth the $5.00 cover charge. Friendly staff, and the piano players really put on a great show, they really get the crowed involved so its different every night. Great selection of beers, reasonably priced.
