Do not recommend based on front desk staff. Staff communicate very poorly and are not organized but are extremely unprofessional.The negative things I have heard the staff say about the clients here are awful as they purposefully cancel appointments for clients they do not like.They are also often booked 1-3 months out which can be very difficult to schedule in advance. Massage therapists are decent but you need to try a few to find a good match.
Ive really been enjoying my experience with Shoreline Massage Envy. I had never been to a Massage Envy before, until I decided to give their annual membership a shot in October. Since then, I have been going 1-2x per month, trying out different enhancements, massage therapists, and facials. So far, all massage therapists have been great - Mariama and Dave are excellent. Scheduling appointments is easy and convenient with their app, and the ladies at the front desk have always been very friendly and polite.
I have been going to this location for several months now, and Ive been very pleased. Ive had all of my massages from Mariama because she has been amazing! I usually need medium to very deep pressure and she has done a brilliant job. I always leave feeling better than when I came in. I cant recommend Mariama enough - definitely ask for her if youre planning to schedule an appointment!
I was a member with Massage Envy for about 5 years. I was deployed for about a year and have 12+ sessions saved up that I dont even want to use anymore since they charge you based on location, even after paying your membership fee... It doesnt make sense what youre even paying for :) After covid they have REALLY gone down hill. They have started implementing fees for everything under the sun, wouldnt let me keep my account frozen for more than 3 months (?), their services have really declined in quality, and I received a facial and an eyebrow wax where I was CHEMICALLY BURNED. After seeing my doctor who did in fact state they BURNED me, they did not reimburse me and told me to just not get my eyebrows waxed during a facial - which I had done many times before. I am EXTREMELY unhappy with the inconsistency, additional charges, lack of professionalism and empathy, and quality of service I have received. I will not be returning and advising my friends to do the same!
I don’t know what this massage was, but it was unlike any I’ve ever received. I was pinched, punched (literally), and had my skin and tissues pulled on dry, without massage cream or oil. I now cannot sit back in a chair, lay on my back, or do anything that puts any amount of pressure on my back because I am so deeply bruised. I didn’t even go into the massage with back pain. I went in with leg and foot pain from working six 12 hour nursing shifts on my feet. In my 90 minute massage she didn’t massage my legs at all and only spent less than 30 seconds per foot. Even though the entire reason I came in was for leg and foot pain, which I told her multiple times. She literally spent the majority of the 90 minutes on my upper back. I’m so raw and deeply bruised now. She also used hot stones on my back, which was not a service I asked for. My “massage” was so brutal and aggressive. The therapist didn’t seem to understand what I asked for or understand my feedback and requests throughout the massage. I almost had to get up and leave because it was so painful and I didn’t feel like her and I could communicate. There was definitely a language barrier and I think that massage envy should supply translation services for their employees who don’t speak English, so that the therapists and clients can communicate about needs and provide appropriate services. I felt very beat up and violated after this “massage” and will not be returning under any circumstances.
I really tried, Massage Envy, I did. I wish I had never signed up. I finally found a therapist there I like, but I can never seem to get appointments with her or anyone. I need a massage, not a facial! You have taken my money for four months now, and I have not been able to schedule anything. I called to get a freeze on my account. You did this before, and it was easy, but this time, I was directed to fill out a form that I just didnt have the spoons to deal with. How is it you can keep taking my money for services you cant even provide??
I supported this business through Covid-19 and never cancelled my account despite not being able to attend. I feel betrayed by this particular owner. I helped her through a tough two years and ended up with a lot of prepaid appointments that I cant use because nothing is available and this location continues to lose staff due to lack of flexibility and pay as some former employees have shared. I have been able to use some at the Mill Creek facility but now Im being canceled as massage staff are not available. The cancelation received today is due to the massage staff person quitting. Ive been trying to cancel my membership despite being a long time customer. This has become an impossible task and now Im not getting any replies to my cancelation. I am now referring a complaint to the WA State Attorney General. Ive had enough of the shady business
Diana did a facial for me with chin waxing. The best wax I ever got. Plus the facial was great. My face was clear and clean. She is very knowledgeable. I will definitely go back.
I love the massage therapists here. I have been coming here about a year now and go about once a week. My favorite therapists are Art, David, Serena, and Debbie. They are truly wonderful. I always have such a great relaxing and healing experience with any of them. The front desk staff is hit or miss. Sometimes they are not very friendly or make you feel bad about a mistake that another staffer made with scheduling etc. I have had two issues with my appointment times but other than that, it is nice. Also, there was an instance of a massage therapist tucking a sheet into my underwear repeatedly. They were new and that was the only person I had that happen with. I will continue to come here. Its a lifesaver especially with all of the covid stress.
This location is either severely understaffed or unorganized at managing the schedule. Twice now I have had a scheduled appt cancelled on me. First was the day before, and today was 1 hour before.A massage that was already a pain to book. I had to book out a month and a half to get this massage....and today it gets cancelled. Oh, but dont worry. I can reschedule it for TWO MONTHS from now.Massage Envy was a great convenience for the 6 years that I had it in CA. Doesnt seem worth it up here. Will likely cancel my membership after using up the remaining credits on my account.

I lost over $1,000 with a membership to Massage Envy when another location (Ballard) closed without notification to its customers. After contacting this business I was given a promise to transfer the credit, followed by a run around, misinformation and finally a very rude call from the corporate office. When I attempted to call and write back I received no response. The massages were mediocre. Please take your money elsewhere.
Easy to find location with generally pleasant staff. Location could use more variety for massage therapy. Offering longer sessions and other therapeutic massage relief techniques, like cupping would be great since this is supposed to be a place for massage.
I really want to have a massage here and love it but I cant because this is the second time they have canceled my appointment. Today was only with an hour notice. Thankfully I hadnt walked out the door yet. The last time someone was supposed to call me back to reschedule but never did. I understand things happen and people get sick so Ill update my review if I ever get the chance to come in.
I started up a membership here in late 2019... not the greatest timing. With all sympathy to small business owners suffering during the pandemic, it has been a nightmare to cancel this reoccurring charge.First they asked me to please wait to see if things opened up. So I waited. Then they told me to try freezing my account instead of cancelling. Fine, Ill give that a try. Then they UNFROZE it for me and started charging me again, and when I finally caught on and called to cancel, they told me I needed to fill out a cancellation form. Ok fine. Sent them the form. Now I look back over my statement for the last two months and they have STILL been charging me. Ive finally resorted to disputing the charges with my bank.Busy or not, theres no excuse for continuing to take money from people for a service theyre unable to utilize. The therapists have been wonderful in the past but steer clear of making any financial commitments to this business.
MASSAGE ENVY. Has ma y good massage therapist Jenny is really good for medium weighted massage. Nancy is very good in deep tissue massage.....when booking an appointment, ask for what you are looking for, Im sure there is someone, are right for you...
The people here are great. Every interaction I have had has made me feel welcome. The therapists are friendly and made the experience great. The only thing that disappoints me is that the sessions have ended 10 minutes early and started late. Im ok with a little time difference, but I pay for 90-minutes and expect it to be closer to that. I feel like I was owed 15-minutes. Im going to go again, it may have been a fluke and if not, then Ill communicate it with the staff.
I have gone to the Northgate ME (not since the remodel of the mall) but now call the ME Ballinger Way ME home. Jeremy was my fav, now that he is gone; Dave is the 💣 now. I have to have a deep tissue massage, hurts but it releases all the muscle tension. Having fibromyalgia and multiple sclerosis doesnt help me, either!These massages are relaxing, but medical massages as the best! 2 different types of massages for sure!I have had a couple of facials, the last time I had my face waxed! Interesting, but hair grows back within 1 month.Go here and get with the program! Ps, this is a membership club
I went there for the first time today and really had a good experience. My massage was very good, the vibe was good, and they had openings within 3 hours of me showing up out of the blue. The front desk staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Because of my good experience, I decided to sign up for a membership for monthly massages!
Always an excellent massage! David is my favorite. Hes very detailed and he is also knowledgeable in reflexology and that can be an added bonus to a massage. He also is willing to learn new techniques like when they started using a new percussion instrument and he could tell me all about what it helped with. David is also hilarious and makes great conversation. Its fun having a massage there as well as relaxing!
A peaceful space in a strip mall. Quiet soothing spacer to get a massage. The massage therapists Ive seen were great.Ill admit I was a bit skeptical about massage in a chain store with a subscription payment model. Im so glad I got past that. It was a really pleasant surprise. Everyone is friendly and professional.
I think the waiting room being right in front of where I was getting massaged creeped me out a little bit. While I was waiting, people are coming out all relaxed and euphoric and they have to walk by me. Then when I left, there were a few strangers sitting there I had to walk past. Its a cycle of awkwardness.Other than that, my massage was 5 stars. Guess thats what matters.
Bought 2 1 hour massage certificates for my daughters for Christmas. They said that if I spent over $100 they would give me 2 free enhancements (facial, salt scrub, etc). One of my daughters went last week to use her massage. She asked for a 1 hour deep tissue and a salt scrub for her legs as her enhancement. They gave her a mediocre massage and cut it short by 15 minutes to do the salt scrub and have her dress and undress!!! A 1 hour massage shouldn’t be cut short for an add on that was suppose to be extra. I learned my lesson massage envy I won’t be fooled again.
Very professional and healing massages. I have one problem with the Shoreline location and thats the fact that there is no waiting room. You have to sit in the hallway that the rooms open onto and where the storage closets are so its not a very relaxing way to get ready for a massage.
Young inexperienced therapist actually bruised my lower back and caused significant tissue swelling. The massage was incredibly painful. I thought he was doing what was necessary to work out the tightness but he was actually injuring my tissue. I will never go back. The front office staff were nice and so was the therapist but he clearly didn’t know what he was doing.
I get consistently good massages there and the front desk people are too notch. It became a mess during the pandemic until the new manager took over, but I have faith that shell work out the kinks in the scheduling, etc.

I love this specific location, and for this recent visit, I had Jonathan and he was INCREDIBLE! I handed him a $19 cash tip on my way out, saying wish I had another dollar for this tip! He found all my major knots and loosened up the areas I really needed loosening up for. I look forward to my next appointment I already scheduled!!!!
Just has a relaxing waxing and love it. Yes, relaxing and waxing in the same sentence. It is possible! My brows and upper lip were barely red coming out of it. If you are looking for an aesthetician Molly who is amazing at what she does, she is your lady!
Late today I scheduled an appt via their website for tomorrow morning. They called two hours later to,say that they have no available appts for tomorrow morning, that the website is booking appts where none are available.In the meantime, based on the scheduled session, I told my employer that I would be out during that time. And now its after business hours so I cant schedule someone else for that slot.This would be a zero star if that option were available.

Well I was going to buy a gift card until the woman at the front desk was extremely rude and didnt know how to do her job. Absolutely ridiculous!!! This location definitely just lost my business! Should really get someone at the front desk who has customer service!!
