Uncle Ikes Pot Shop Olive Way

I liked this place at first. Today was probably the last time Ill go there. I tried to ask the doorman a question three times. The last time I raised my voice (not unreasonably so) so he could hear me and was reprimanded for being aggressive. Uncle Ike, theres lots of other pot shops in town youre not special!

Unfortunately I didnt get the name of my budtender today but she was extremely chill and friendly! Even the security guard was cool. The store is very aesthetic with the rainbow vibes and its definitely a dispensary Im going to try to stop at more often.

This was my first dispensary and I used to love coming here. I came in with a friend on 4/19 and the bud tender was so rude to us we were shocked. I really thought about what to do about this interaction but i’m still bothered about it a week later. I’m going to be specific so you know who you are.I asked for Sativa dominant flower.He asked we give him a price point for how much we were willing to spend which we were like whatever is fine. He then demanded a price point which … sales 101, if the customer doesn’t care just upsell… it’s weed dude we’re not buying a car. Again, we asked for a mostly sativa blend and he brought us 4 different bud, all were indica dominant. Like 90/10. Okay, maybe I misspoke maybe he made a mistake, not a big deal. However, we then asked for Sativa again, to which he replied that it doesn’t matter and none of it is true…. which what? I then had to request AGAIN a sativa dominant blend. He rolled his eyes and grabbed it. At this point he was really annoyed with us. He then criticized us for looking up his recommendations on leafly. (as if we were going to take his word after he didn’t think sativa and indica had any different effects). & then stated not once but THREE times how inconsistent it is and how it isn’t real after we continued to do it. He was annoyed and short with us the entire time. I regret buying weed from him because I definitely don’t want whatever he is smoking. Truly the most awkward customer experience i’ve had and I am so glad that I wasn’t a new user because he was mansplaining information that isn’t even correct.

Nice knowledgeable staff. Good sale prices. I recommend Uncle Ikes Olive Way.

Super friendly and forgiving budtenders. I accidentally sent my online order to the wrong store and the dude who helped me out was super understanding and didnt make me feel bad for it in any way.

Always got what I need with the best budtenders On DAY SHIFT! After 5 the budtenders aren’t as helpful and get my online order incorrect often with no desire to make things right. I will only visit this shop during the day from now on. Still the same great online order and pickup with the points with this crew!!! Omgah!!!!! Love my shop yall.

I just moved here from Texas so I know very little about the various types, strengths, etc but I went in to the Cap Hill location and everyone was so warm and welcoming. I definitely felt overwhelmed by all the options but Kyle D walked me through everything and helped me with a little starter pack so that I could go home and see what I do and don’t love. He identified my needs, concerns, and preferences to curate my little bag of goodies and gave me some really solid advice as well. Uncle Ike’s is such a friendly, chill, and SAFE environment. 10/10 will be back. Much love to y’all.

I appreciate this shops consistency in keeping customer favorites stocked. Not to mention the convenient location, which is within walking distance from my residence. I am usually greeted with a smile and my first name by their friendly staff. This place is ok. However, I am a customer, I dont care when you close. Do not make your customer feel rushed, its rude.

Got what I needed but my budtender accused my enhanced drivers license of being fake. Told me he couldn’t sell me anything. I questioned him and he goes to the back where his colleague lets him know he is wrong lol. Never has my ID been called fake and accused of a federal crime !Great way to treat your regular customers on New Years Day.

Told security that two people followed/hassled us for two blocks on our way in. My 36yo wife didnt bring her ID and Security told her wait outside there are video cameras. Asked nicely if she could just stand inside the door while I got our pre-order. Was told it was against LCB rules. When I told inside Security itd be nice to have someone outside, he just told me have a good night. Both people hassled us all the way to our car wanting beer on the way back.Im industry so Im giving 3 stars for the vendors.

If you want your monies worth just go to the Reef. The people at the desk know way more about the industry and they don’t cheap you out. I bought 2 pre rolls from “Ally” on Sunday come to find out when I’m ready to relax there’s not even a pre roll in one of the packaged containers. Very frustrating experience, especially since she insisted I didn’t need to keep my receipt. Won’t be going back.

Every single employee Ive met here has been awesome. Friendly and extremely welcoming. Ive been coming here for a year now. The sad thing is the one black person I see working the door was so rude he checked my ID and when I spoke he wouldnt speak back. One of the bud tenders had to come all the way over to where we were just to greet me. He alone is the reason I will never return . He is truly an embarrassment to our race. Hes the reason people think all black people are angry and mean. Please return the friendly employees to the front. Itll bring the moral back up.. Dont let that rude employee be the first thing people see...please.

Our budtender Kyle D was a gem! Very positive, descriptive of the product. Atmosphere was clean and casual. Will definitely be going back!

Yupp, today kinda pissed me off. Guys skipping the line for their online order is ok. Guys skipping the line for their online order and then continue to order more stuff with the clerk is not ok. If they want more stuff they should be sent to the back of the line like everyone else waiting. Online line should be for pick ups only, not a way for people to skip the line and order more stuff. Been picking up an ounce every week for almost 3 years now (while tipping 15-30% to walk over and grab it) and im tired of this. Time to find a new place with better etiquette.

Hands down my favorite shop in Capital Hill. Conveniently located just 2 blocks from my apartment! The customer service I receive at the East Olive Way location is by far the best I’ve had at any business.Not only do they take the time to educate and recommend great products, but they take the time to get to know…you. Many great people work there but Patrick is a great example! Prices are decent as well 😊

I’ve never seen this in my seven years of being a medical cannabis patient. You can buy a strain by the same man same brand, with a different grower. Every time I buy from here the weed is so bad it’s insane. I’ll go right down the street and spend less money on the same brand same strand and weed is 10 times better at Shawn kemp’s. The staff is fine. The location is fine but the weed selection is over priced and made to look like other dispensary weed. I can’t believe I’m even writing this review because it seems so crazy but you have to watch out these guys are cutting corners. Don’t shop here unless have to. I took this photograph the 2 small mugs by my index finger from Shawn kemps the big nug on the bottom is from Ike’s. Shawn kemps is 140$ oz Ike’s is 300$ oz.

I love all Uncle Ike’s locations. Good product to choose from and with so many locations nearby if one doesn’t have what I’m looking for it’s likely that another one will.

Been here multiple times to buy cartridges and everything was fine. However, after a while, when one of the 2 cartridges I got here had a major leaking issue and I went back within the week I bought them, the attitude of the staff changed once they realized I wanted to return it. They told me multiple reasons why this cannot be done. See, I dont usually go back to the store when the cartridge is blocked or juice coming out from the tip. But this cart was leaking from the bottom into my vape. well long story short, that leaky cartridge is now sitting in a plastic tube on my desk as a reminder of why I should not come back here again. Reef is great btw and its right around the corner.

Friendly and helpful staff! My budtender asked questions to help me find the right strains for my personal needs, and we ended up talking for another 10 minutes about life! I would definitely recommend this place for out-of-towners who need assistance navigating a dispensary. I didnt feel rushed at all. The prices were competitive. Avoid this shop if you dont wanna be mistreated.The only time I went to this store I was mistreated by one lady who may be the manager, glasses, blonde or colored shoulder length hair, tie dye shirt at that time, she was very rude, couldnt answer simple questions about the products (she just didnt know), looked at me like I did something wrong, and instead of directing me to someone else immediately she just kind of wanted me to leave, after not being able to answer my questions she finally directed me to another employee (in a very rude manner, telling me she had a line of people) who was actually very nice and could answer my questions.For this reason Im avoiding going to this store, anymore, I rather go to the Reef or the uncle Ikes thats on the east side of Cap Hill even tho is a longer walk.

Wowww this is my new go to spot!! Thanks to Caila, she was the coolest bud tender we ever had, we were smoking only the best that she recommended. We asked for something indica to put us to sleep, Caila told us a strain called big smooth would have us slumped. Needless to say we didn’t even make it halfway through the movie and got the best sleep of our life 😂 mission accomplished! We can’t wait to try the Sativa she gave us for our hike this weekend. A beautiful building to look at on the outside especially at night, the inside is pretty nice too. Prices of the product are almost unbeatable compared to other shops in the Seattle area but Im pretty sure you could get better weed elsewhere

An employee seemed more concerned about his break than counting change correctly. Said i didnt have enough, then took 1$. From what i had to say, i was short and gave me not what i wanted so he could get a tip. Im very disappointed in this location.. Guy with the tattoos.

Loved this Uncle Ike’s location!! We were visiting Seattle on a trip and found this location on accident actually and was definitely meant to be. My partner also works at a dispensary in MA and connected with our bud tender Ribbon immediately! (Ribbon we love you!!). She knew exactly what she was talking about, knew the products, and was extremely helpful to us! So friendly and sweet. Definitely go to this Uncle Ike’s location if you’re looking!! This place has the rudest people working on the counter. They are unhelpful and think they are doing you a favor by attending to you as a customer. I have never felt so disrespected. As a brown person, please avoid this place. I was happy and only wanted to pick some bud. These people ruined my vibe completely. Horrible establishment. Would never visit again.

I always receive good customer service at this location, but 2 days ago I received by far the best ever. Marissa was so incredibly kind, receptive and patient. They spared no effort in accommodating my needs, budget or time. I was more than satisfied as I left and can’t wait to go back.

Hands down my favorite shop in the city. Staff has always been friendly to me. Some even know me by name now.I get a lot of bad rep from friends coming to Ike’s, but I don’t mind. Their deals are always on point for what I want and need. For someone who spends $300+ monthly, I give this place a 5 star. 😁

Ikes is my go-to dispensary not only for the affordable weed, but for the convenient location, friendly staff, and dog-friendly environment.My golden doodle, Penny, loves interacting with the staff and getting biscuits from the security personnel checking the IDs.Ive only ever had a couple issues with my online orders, due to the strains being out of stock, but theyve always been extremely accommodating and even provide recommendations for alternative strains.As one who goes at least 2x/month to stock up, I am frequently satisfied with the deals that they have. I had one time where I got 20 grams of flower for $60! I dont think there are any other dispensaries in Seattle that can even come close to matching that.

I love this store except for the times I order online and there’s issues with placing my order, and I go there and ask to add other products because I’m not able to get the app to add my other products, and some lady who claims she is the manager starts berating me about adding to my order! I asked her if she is mad because I’m buying more, and she said that I’m distracting her from helping others! (There was only one person besides me in the store and they were being helped!) I asked her why she was being so rude, I’m only buying more stuff the website wouldn’t let me add, and she just continues to be rude and condescending. I’ve never known a manager to act like that especially when I was only trying to buy more products. She tells me in the most rude way that I should have gotten into the regular line, excuse me for NOT knowing that, and no thanks to her for letting me know in the most uncustomer service way with her rude mean self! I’m tired of mean rude people and I don’t deserve to be treated like that when I only wanted to spend more money! Her name is Marisa, and if you go there avoid her like the plague! She will ruin your day!

This is my favorite dispensary in Seattle because the prices are unbeatable and all the staff are great, especially Carrie. Carrie always helps me find the best stuff and knows what I like, as well as always having treats for my dog.

The guy who helped me and my friend was super nice. I dont often buy products because I was getting for someone else, but the guy helping me gave me good suggestions within the specifications I asked for. Made it feel less overwhelming for me so thank youuuu!

As a regular customer I already know about the wide range of quality cannabis products and the cheerful and helpful bud tenders but today Jon C. really made my day. First he worked with me making an order cost exactly the required amount to spend my cash. Next I asked to do a second transaction using my bank card and he remained his friendly self while finishing a large split order even when the shop had a line going. First of all my name is Aerer Jerer and I am a heavy pot smoker. I like the store HOWEVER I do not like the older guy with the silver hair, he tends not to give you your money back from debit card purchase and the receipt says change due.The last time I checked my receipt he put my $4 dollars in his pocket! Thats one way to get money out of the register without notice. Watch your receipts people, when you use your debit cards!!!!

I stopped by on my way to brunch last weekend and was fortunate enough to meet Lauren! She was so helpful, sweet and knowledgeable! She picked out the perfect pre rolls and cart for me and made it such an enjoyable experience. This continues to be my favorite weed shop!!

Staff was friendly, informative, and the place is nice. Im from out of town and dont like the real flashy vibes that Ive seen some dispensaries have, this made me feel welcome as an outsider. Dont know why it seems as if someones out to get the owner for his/her political views, based on the reviews Ive read at least. I had a great experience here.

Always enjoy coming here and seeing their selection of buds. Tenders there are very helpful and easy to talk to. I have never had to wait extremely long for my order, and with the online service and now you can use your debit card in store too just makes it so much easier and faster to be able to walk in and out

Great shop with friendly staff, but not enough of that friendly staff. Especially if you stop by in the evenings, therell just be 2 people at the counter, even though 4 customers are allowed in. This will happen if you stop by anytime in the evening, and I talked with the door guy while waiting, and he said its usually like this after dark. Hire more people, Ikes!

Just go in with the expectation that you may or may not have a cordial bud tender (most times out of not they are, every so often a jackass) and with the expectation they WILL steal from you. I’m always told different prices, sometimes get my $3 back from using my card, sometimes it asks if I want to tip or not. Weird strategies these guys have but it always keep me on my toes lmao

At Uncle Ikes Olive Way, Dejane and I were instantly friends. She helped my partner and I find what we were looking for with a smile and without making us feel pressured or uncomfortable. Honestly, we felt like we made friends with everyone working in the store that day, everyone was so kind and helpful. 10/10

Customer service here is terrible! Stay away or go to 23rd location. Tender packed the wrong item in my order. I go back to get it exchanged and they tell me they cant take my card because transaction is less than $15. So Im forced to leave with nothing or use their atm with high fees. Then they dont honor the online discount since Im exchanging and not ordering online. End up paying more fees and not getting the discount they advertised. Never returning.

Updated: Good Customer Service and seems to have been a third party issue, increased my rating after offering to discounts for the issue.Went to this Uncle Ikes last week for the first time as its slightly closer to my house than the Capitol Hill one. Had no issues with first pre-order and they prepared it within 30 mins, however I put in an order this week and wasted an 1 hour + of my time while it stayed at the verification stage, I canceled and re-did my order and still stuck at the verification for 30+ min. Canceled and re-did order at the Captial Hill location and it was ready for pick-up within 2 min of putting in my order. Will be going back to Cap Hill for the future as this seems to be their norm based off my past experience with them. Will try this place again in a couple of weeks to see if it was just a bad day, will update review accordingly.

Updating my previous review after a poor experience. Ive been here 3 or 4 times before and never had someone so unhelpful. I brought my aunt in to get CBD gummies and the guy helping was rude and condescending.I dont use THC or CBD a ton so I look to the staff for some guidance as far as strength and efficiency since from my point of view they should be the experts. I realize everyones tolerance is different but come on, work w the customer a little.I was a little unsure about stopping in after seeing the mixed reviews but all 3 employees were really friendly. Im not a connoisseur so I cant speak to how technical they can get but I was happy with my experience and would be back.

Went there on 4/20 and made it by 11:35 because they closed at 11:45pm and I already prepaid and the guy at the front door wouldn’t let me pick up me prepaid order. I asked him how I would get my refund and he b just shrugged his shoulders and said not my problem WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!

Last week I flew in from Miami. I visited a few dispensaries from Seattle to Aberdeen to Astoria. I gotta say Uncle Ikes on Olive Way was the best spot by far.Being that Im a graffiti artist the art murals really caught my attention as soon as I walked in. VERY BEAUTIFUL! As I made my way to the counters I will admit it was a bit overwhelming but they had everything and anything I could ask for. Luckily my BUDTENDER MARINA was super friendly, knowledgeable and patient with this first time dispensary visitor. I fell in love with the pacific northwest and with uncle ikes.I would definitely recommend Uncle Ikes to any friends or family traveling this way in the future. Thanks

Bad experiences every. Single. Time… Unsettling amount of hostility with the security guard who was ARMED WITH A GUN. I’m pretty sure that’s not allowed but the dude was carrying a pistol so I guess they don’t care. Cheaper prices basically anywhere else. Dockside, Kemp’s, or even Haveaheart are better options than this place. STAY AWAY.

Im a disabled senior; chronic pain & sleep disorder. Tiredof trying yet another sleep or pain med. (totally clueless re CBD and overwhelmed at choices) Salesman, Josh, explained products in a clear and understandable way. I am sleeping better and able to manage pain easier without more pills! The owners have an unwillingness to accept that their business is profiting from the displacement of communities, the harm of which cannot be mitigated by donating a tiny percentage of profits to local orgs and recruiting a diverse team of underpaid employees.Edit: (This was requested in the original response from the owner) Oh good, I would love to expand! The location is annoying in part because of the Stonewall jukebox, a tribute to queer history housed in a business that is profiting from the displacement of Capitol Hills queer residents. Also because of the giant performative ally neon sign slapped onto the building - a shining monument to our disappearing communities.Products are subpar in comparison to those at other Seattle dispensaries. This is my subjective opinion; Ive been smoking grass since 2009 and prefer a nice creative high with no jitters or anxiety. For me, thats not what I found at this shop even with some trusted strains.

Wonderful experience with Ese outside and the shop is beautiful. Helpful cannabis connoisseur’s inside and out, came for some CBD and left with some helpful knowledge and a cool pack haha. Defiantly recommend anyone looking for gummies or exceptional prices. Bless up Uncle Ike’s

They do not need or want your business. If you want to be treated like an actual customer go to the reef just up the street. This place will make you sign up to a loyalty program then try not to give you the deals.

Honestly just posting this to counteract the annoying 1 star reviews. The owners political views shouldnt have an impact on what is otherwise a great local business with good service. Im excited to have an ikes in this area!

Come here all the time, today Bandit was super helpful in finding us exactly what we needed. The best place and Bandit was awesome and so friendly.

I visited the Olive location for the first time, and the greeting was awesome the Security Guard David J. greeted me with kindness he opened the door for me and walked me into the establishment and the store was pretty awesome as well as the staff, always nice when the first person to come in contact with makes you feel welcome .that lets me know the customer service will be great overall.

Ribbon was great, she helped me work through the large collection and by the end I felt like I had not only gotten a good selection, but learned a lot a long the way. Will be back!

Good selection, good prices, service is usually fast and nice... Though I have had consistent issues of being given different product than requested without notification, mis-labeling of products from the website and in-store, and receiving unsealed bags of weed.

The owner has appalling business practices, treats employees poorly, and to top it off, the product is poor quality and overpriced. Luckily there are dozens of other options in the city - try Reef just down the road (or literally any shop that isn’t Uncle Ike’s)!

Your employee just overcharged on purpose and put it in the till. I asked for a receipt and only when I took it out of the bag did he admit that he still owed me change. I suspect Im not the only person hes done this to.
