I recently visited this salon and had no idea they specialize in so much. Elena did my nails for me and she was super patient with me. She took her time and made sure every product was pregnancy safe. It was a great experience! Elena definitely takes pride in her craft.

Had to park my car and leave a review immediately!First of all, the moment I walked in, these ladies greeted me and were so kind, they treated me like they truly wanted to serve and make me feel at home. Broke my toe nail before coming here and Elena was so kind enough to use a product that was way pricer than what I was originally paying for yet DID NOT charge me extra for the product that was used. Looked good as new. Elena offered some coffee (free of charge) I was shocked, the coffee was amazing (everything’s better with the hospitality is amazing) Had great conversations, learned some new things. She was amazing. Can’t wait to come again!!-♥️

Been going to Salon EFX for over 15 years now and have never left unhappy. Tina does a fabulous job with my haircuts and highlights. I get compliments all the time from complete strangers on my hair. Highly recommend the salon.

I have been a faithful customer of salon EFX for probably close to 10 years. Zena has been coloring and cutting my hair for the past 5 years. I love her professionalism. She always does a great job with my hair ( coarse and wavy) .

Zena is amazing!! She has such talent! She takes great care of my hair, asks questions to fully understand what I want, then makes it happen! Highlights, low lights came out perfectly!

After going to the same salon in Olney for 10 yrs we felt that the salon had changed a lot and not for the better. We were looking for something more local to us in Silver Spring. Best hair salon in the silver spring area! My hair stylist Emily is the best!! They use great quality products, friendly, flexible with scheduling and all of the above!! Strongly recommend them. The atmosphere is very nice and clean it’s a pretty vibe, Elena was so nice and gentle. They do many services that i wasn’t aware of and the service i got done was eyebrows and she did an AMAZING job!! Super quick and precise!

I got my hair colored here the other day and I am beyond amazed and happy with the results!! I highly recommend Emily. She was absolutely fabulous and patient! She went above and beyond to make sure my hair was perfect. Everybody there was very professional but still very friendly. The environment is very relaxing as well. I am just shocked and super happy by the transformation because Ive never had my hair feeling and looking this good before. I cant believe its my hair! I am definitely going to be a regular!

We are always so satisfied with Tom and his work. He is very passionate about his work and job he genuinely takes his time always and he is honest and will not let you go wrong!! He never fails to give an amazing haircut and color job! Me and my daughter have been going to him for a few years and now and every time we walk out super satisfied and always receive amazing compliments even after a year!

Holy Moly is Salon EFX in for a delicious treat! The new owners are from my hometown in CA, and missed terribly, but just WAIT until you see what they can do! Listen here ladiesss/gents. Salon EFX always looks out for their customers. I’ve been going here for years. Emily hooks me up - tells me what is realistic in regards to whatever look I’m going for. She gives me on advice on how to keep my hair healthy - it’s on me if I listen or not. Music is always on point, kindness from all the staff. Price is reasonable. What a wonderful experience and amazing color and cut ! My hair also feels like silk . Had heard about Tom through his many excellent reviews and he proved that on my first visit . He is probably the most artistic and humble stylist you can meet . Really listens to what you want and cares about the care of your hair . Definitely recommend without reservations. He is a gem . Zena is an amazing stylist. Have been seeing her for nearly 10 years and every cut and color has been awesome--have never had a bad experience. She helped me transition from dark, dyed hair to all gray nearly painlessly. She also does my teenage twins hair. Shes creative, precise, patient, and sweet. Tina, Emily, and Tom are also fantastic. Everyone is so nice at this salon. I cant recommend it highly enough!

Decided to schedule a cut here because of the reviews. Saw a nice lady by the name of Tina. Attached are a photo that I showed Tina as for what I wanted and one of what I actually ended up getting. My hair length was well below my shoulder before the cut. When I told her the front is too short, she told me that it’s too long. Its not a terrible cut, but it is nothing like what I asked for. Safe to say, I am not pleased with the result.

The best hair salon ever! I remember when I first met Tom. I had my hair color and cut at a different salon It was cut uneven and color was all over the place. It was poor communication. I went to Salon EFX and met Tom. He listen to me and made sure he understood me. He showed me samples of the color and so on. Tom saved my hair! Color perfect and the cut was design by him but made for me. Love it! Ive been going to him ever since. He has a special conditioning that he creates for your hair which leaves my hair silky smooth and shining. I always get compliments everywhere I go. He is truly a stylist genius. I go to him every two weeks for the conditioning and get my haircut and color as needed. He makes sure I leave the salon looking beautiful and I feel it! The whole staff is nice and welcomes you when you enter the salon. I will never go anywhere else. Tom is truly a genius. Call him and set an appointment. I promise you wont regret it!

I was so concerned when my go-to hair salon went out of business during Covid, but it ended up being a blessing in disguise because it led me to Tom and Salon EFX. Tom is brilliant with hair, not only at giving cuts that flatter the face and disguise weaknesses but also at sharing advice for how to care for your particular hair needs between visits. The price is reasonable and the salon is clean. Highly recommend.

I brought my daughter here today to get a trim. Emily did a great job and she is very nice my daughter loved her.

I lived my experience and my new haircut. I asked for a long bob and a long bob is what I got.

This was my first time stepping into the salon and I am glad I did.I arrived 10 min early and Tom greeted me 5 minutes earlier than our scheduled time.I came in for a root touch up.Tom made me feel at ease and he is very easy going. He looked at my hair and asked me a few questions. Once we had settled on the choice of the color we chatted and got to know each other. The hair salon is very well kept and clean and everyone is courteous and professional.They even have a FULL mani/pedi in the back of the salon! very private and relaxing and especially, very clean : )I will surely return to them again. I think I may have just found my new forever hairdresser : )If you go there, ask for Tom ; )

I always receive such welcoming and elegant service. I mainly work with Emily and Elena (who are wonderful), but every employee is so sweet! The beauty services they provide are awesome and the prices are accurate for what they provide to you.

I have been getting my hair cut at Salon EFX for 15 years, and I have gotten the perfect cut every time. This is a family-owned business that has been around for 25 to 30 years, first in another location. I have gotten to know everyone over the years. They are very nice and the atmosphere is warm and friendly.

Im extremely picky about who I let cut my hair and how. The stylist here has worked with me to ensure it comes out perfect each time! She is a godsend!The only downside with EFX is that you have to call for appointments and dont get reminder calls, texts, or emails. I think someone is supposed to call you, but it never actually happens.

I showed the stylist how I wanted my hair, however the final product was the same exact way I had my hair before. I didn’t say anything because I really thought it was the lighting of the salon but once seeing myself with my friends they said my hair had no change. I liked their service but the end Product was not good.

I absolutely love this place. So much so, that I drive about an hour every 3 or so weeks to get my hair cut. Its well worth it. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing, the staff are attentive and friendly, and theyre excellent at cutting and styling hair. I highly recommend Salon EFX.

I went to this place in my curiosity, i am very particular when it comes to my hair and i made an appointment last year of 2022 for perm and Emely did my hair it looks good and this is my second year of going there,,,, 😀😀😀friendly staff

Excellent and reliable haircuts, Ive never had my hair dyed, but Ive had long hair and medium length hair and they always take the time to layer and thin out my thick heavy hair and style it to my satisfaction.

I had Amazing time with the Girls at the Salon , They is were very professional and I love the care and attention they put in their clients, It’s a really convenient place if you wanna get your hair and your Nails done at the same time , Really clean place and well organized, I can truly say I’m pleased with my Hair service, They did Amazing and left my hair healthy, A little short but it’s okay because that hair needed to go , Trust the Girls they know what they doing , All 3 sister Treated me Amazing , I will be coming back For my hair and My nails ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Just cut my hair SUPER short and donated it, Tina was GREAT... I LOVE my short hair cut, and Im thinking about keeping it this way :) (cheap cut too, only $42 for wash, cut and blow dry)

I had the best hair transformation.

The eyebrow tint lasted literally two days! This is unacceptable and not worth it! Ive never had such a short time of the tint lasting! Highly disappointed and DO NO RECOMMEND this salon!

Awful. Not for men. Haircut was embarrassing. No fading, blending, hairlines were a mess. Everything was bad. Had to get husbands hair cut again later the same day at another salon.
