I’ve been a client here for about 14 years. I’ve had a few masseurs during that time.Currently, my go-to masseur is Tom. He’s way-beyond excellent. I’ve had many-a-session with him. I get knots in my shoulders, neck, and calves. He gets in there, warms up the area and slowly breaks down the knots. When I’ve tweaked my back or had a dose of sciatica, he’s really helped me to speed the healing process. People who store stress in their muscles and/or experience body pain know that a good masseur/masseuse is no joke.I’ve also had facials and back facials there too. Sadly, I’ve not been able to keep a consistent esthetician as they tend to have a lot of staff churn, but the treatments I’ve had there have been consistently solid.Back facials are great because it’s difficult to really do a thorough back exfoliation. You can’t exactly see the pores back there, so having a periodic back facial is beneficial to exfoliate, treat and moisturize the back. I tend to get one twice a year. That said, if you have skin issues on your back, I suggest more frequent treatments. I personally don’t have any skin issues on my back other than seasonal dryness which this treatment helps to alleviate.

The therapists are decent once you try a few people out for fit, but the policies and management are horrendous. After visiting this location for the past 4 months, I was informed while checking out after my massage today that I would be charged an $8 “transfer fee”. Why? Because the contract I was locked into for a year had me paying $75 a month and Massage Envy subsequently raised prices to $80. Aside from the fact that the difference is not $8, the manager came charging out of the office to try to explain the poor math and policies to me. After a long winded rant and “I agree we have bad policies”, she proceeded to brag about how the company had “over 1100 locations”. Some training in math, customer service, and how businesses work wouldn’t be a terrible idea.I feel bad for the front desk staff. The location wouldn’t need half a dozen “be kind” signs if they weren’t pissing off customers after gauging them on the way out after a massage. In addition to other non-customer friendly policies, I had to jump through hoops to cancel my membership - even after the year long term was over.

The massages are fine and are consistent with expectations at Massage Envy, but the policies here are determined based on poor management decisions that adversely affect employees and customers.One example: they charge clients a $3 processing charge to tip their employees, a policy that essentially penalizes their massage therapists by disincentivizing tipping. The manager claimed that this is a result of credit card transaction fees, but credit card transactions cost about 2-2.5% for a swiped transaction and it is absurd to charge their employees or customers for credit card fees.This example, along with their year-long difficult-to-cancel even after the end date contracts represent a systematic customer- and employee-unfriendly policies with the Massage Envy franchisor framework.They have a sign in the front that says “please be nice”. Their front staff are actually nice, but I’ve seen other frustrated customers yell at them based on having fees added seemingly arbitrarily.

My massage was excellent and scheduling was easy. The front desk employee was attentive at first when I came in to check in. At checkout, she offered a membership and gifts and services. Once I politely declined, she was somewhat dismissive. I was putting together tip and she picked up the phone and continued to speak with the person on the phone, and i felt like I was no longer there. Suggest having another front desk employee to assist in person customers from start to finish, or give attention to in person customers until they are done…as this was a bitter end to an otherwise good experience.

I have started going here again starting this year. I have to say the experience has been exemplary. The staff has been so friendly and accommodating in scheduling appointments and in the rare case re-scheduling. Always a warm welcome when i arrive and their phone etiquette is professional. I have to give kudos to my provider Magnolia. She is outstanding! She is consistent and professional. Unless I have a sore spot to tell her to be gentle on, she identifies and implements techniques to relieve my tension and tightness. The hot stone massage is the best I have ever had. I recently had the sugar foot scrub and it was invigorating. I highly recommend this location and will be returning often. Bravo!

Ive been going to Massage Envy for about 4 yrs now and have always had a positive experience with great massage therapist! Yesterday I had the pleasure of receiving one from Zaire and I would like to highlight how wonderful it was and how respectful he was! He would let me know ahead of time some areas he would be working on, asking permission first to make sure I was comfortable and relaxed during my massage. The pressure was perfect and relaxing it most certainly was! Thank you for a wonderful experience!!

I have been a loyal customer (biweekly appointments for 10 years) and am on the verge of ending my membership. Three weeks ago I got a call from ME at 9:15 asking if I was on my way for my 9:00 appointment. I told them no, that I did not have an appointment nor if I did was I notified by email or phone call. From a similar incident several years ago I have been getting both forms of reminders of my appointment. They again asked if I was coming in. I was 20 minutes away so I told them not possible. The receptions proceeds to tell me they were going to charge my card based on policy. I told her I wanted to speak to the manager. Oh but the manager wasn’t in and I would get a call from her. I immediately put a block on my credit card as this error was NOT my fault and I was not paying ME for their error.Fast forward 5 days later and still no phone call from the manager, but I did receive a phone call from the receptionist saying I had an appointment the next day (but no email reminder!). I told her I would be there but I still needed to speak to the manager. The manager again wasn’t in and I would hear from her later according to the receptionist.The next day comes and I go to my appointment. I still never got my call from the manager. After the appointment I tell the receptionist I still needed to speak to the manager or owner (who in this conversation find out is the same person). Again she is not in. At this point I am upset and frustrated. Why do I have to ask 3 times to speak to the manager?! I am a business owner myself and when people tell me they are stuck in meetings all the time I have to call BS. So I tell the receptionist to tell her manager/owner I put a block on the card and won’t lift it until I speak with her. That night I miss a call (because I was working) at 5:52pm from the manager. I proceed to call back at 6:00pm when I am done with my client only to find out the manager is out of the office already?!I am a business owner myself of a business that is completely leisure. If I don’t handle/work with/communicate with my customers, especially upset ones, then I don’t have a business! This is flat out ridiculous.The ONLY reason I haven’t cancelled my membership yet is because I love my therapist Joseph. I have been seeing him for at least 8 of the 10 years I have been a member. The only time I didn’t use him was during his brief stint as manager. I recommended him to my family, to my clients. But to be treated like this is completely unacceptable.

Very disappointed, I bought a 6 month membership and continued to be charged after the 6 months, when I called they said I will be charged until I cancel my membership- this was not explained to me or made clear upon signing up. When I was explaining my situation, the woman on the phone cut me off and put me on hold. When I asked to be refunded for my extra charge she was incredibly rude and unhelpful. Very poor customer service. I really did enjoy my experience here prior to this and Nancy is the best therapist.

Absolute money fleecing endeavorThe people at the front desk have the sole aim of selling you services without describing fine print. After my introductory facial, the lady at front pushed for membership. When I refused, she offered a 3 month prepaid card saying that it wont expire (she specifically said thats the advantage of getting prepaid over getting membership) and it will not renew. Both pieces of information were incorrect. It auto renewed and I had to fight to take the charges off. Meanwhile, the 3 I purchased expired in 3 months and they didnt bother to mention that. So I paid for 3 facials. I got none. When I called to explain, the lady was absolutely scornful and said too bad for you. Why dont you purchase a massage for 100 USD today instead!!! Their business runs on making people pay ahead for facials and massages they may not be able to use and put in rules that ensure they cant be transferred and eventually expire.Its also worth noting that every good review about the place has nothing to say at all. Most bad reviews are about the rude and unhelpful people at the front.

Had to go because I was given a gift certificate for Christmas. Left feeling more stressed and not relaxed at all. My therapist kept burping, yawning, slamming doors when getting towels, and breathing really heavily and loud, which made it impossible to relax. When I also go there, there was no receptionist to check me in, I waited for 15 minutes before someone walked in, didnt ask for name just told me ok youre checked in besides that she was friendly enough. Back to my usual private massage place where you arent treated like another body! Wouldnt recommend massage envy to anyone.

The massage it’s self was Very basic , the problem with Massage envy is, it feels so corporate, Massage envy is the equivalent of a pro hair cutters, it’s very commercialized. Everything is extra! You want a scented body oil extra, aromatherapy extra! Everything is so extra I’m surprised they don’t charge you extra for breathing in their spa. you get a very basic standard massage. I would rather go to a local massage therapist who includes all these extra amenities. I can’t support this place I’ll be taking my business to a local massage therapist who enjoys what they do. The therapist at Massage envy are very dry & not personable at all. The rooms aren’t even relaxing or warm.

Filthy location. My masseur had long nails which dug into my skin and a persistent cough throughout the massage making me feel anxious about him spreading germs rather than relaxed. The receptionists tried to sell me on a membership 6 times in one visit even though I had previously cancelled it. Overall terrible experience and terrible customer service.

Monique who gave me the hot rock massages was great! I will never, ever go there again unfortunately because of the extremely rude, girl with the long hair and glasses at the front desk. I prepay for the massages and then told I owe different amounts every time after it takes her 10 minutes staring at the computer trying to tell how much i owe. Then she talks to me like i am a child and gives me attitude. Stay away! There are many other places one can go without having the front desk girl give you attitude!

I received a full body massage as a gift and I found the experience beautifully relaxing and I will definitely return. My therapist was Carolina and I would recommend her to anyone. The Massage Envy team, from front desk to massage therapist, was welcoming, professional and there to answer all my questions. This is a treat for anyone and could easily become part of your routine. Go for it.

I feel Ripped Off! Be Careful when giving your Credit Card for Payment. They will bill you every month for a year, then drop your membership. You then forfeit the massages that you paid for and did not use. In my case $505.24 !I called and the manager said I was made aware of this when I signed up for membership... If I was informed, why would I give up $505.24 worth of massages?Also be aware that the massage therapists expect a 20% tip on the regular price of a massage, not the discounted $63.15 per massage that I was charged. This is an additional $20 which I always paid in cash. It is not about the money, I just hate getting ripped off!

I love this place! Its close and convenient. Plus, Genevieve gives great facials. She really knows what shes doing and takes pride in helping people. Ive had several facials from her and I always feel like my skin is really restored and healthier afterwards. She inspires me to take better care of myself by drinking more water. Yes, she will ask you some questions at first but its because she actually cares. Thats so rare and amazing!

Worst place ever with no customer service skills! Just spoke to Amy regarding a situation I had and instead of taking ownership she started acting like the situation was my fault. She yelled at me saying I never told her my name when she didnt even ask me who she was speaking to. I am a client its her job to gather all the info to assist a client not mine . She spoke to extremely condescendingly and then had the nerve to tell me I was being rude to her. She raised her voice at the end of the conversation and I just had to hang up as I do not want to speak to unprofessional people. I do plan on speaking to coorporate about her.

I had originally booked a female masseuse who later got an injury, and a masseuse named colin filled in, who did a great job. It was the first massage ive ever gotten and it was fine! Totally thought I was going to be uncomfortable. Also make sure to lay down under the covers when they start lmaooo @ first time clients :) Theyre very professional here, and very friendly!

I have had to book an appointment over a month out before being able to get in, and now this is the 2nd time they’ve canceled the appointment on me. The second time around, I never got a call or text to say it was being canceled, I just showed up and they told me it was canceled. Considering it’s now been months and I’ve not been able to book an appointment.. I will not be trying here again.

Repeatedly a horrible experience. The manager has cancelled and moved appointments on me multiple times without calling. Instead of taking stress away, this place causes it. Who has time to make an appointment, drive there, and then not actually get the massage they scheduled? Go someplace else.

I had gotten a membership from this location. The location did not start the membership on the correct date and is forcing me to stay in the one year membership for 14 months. The owner does not understand what is happening with the finances. Not a great sign.

Went in for a massage made me fill out a form for HIPAA..Then talked talked to me about it in a room with 3 other people ..RIDICULOUS...I ended up leaving before I got my massage ..TOTALLY unprofessionalWould nnever recommend this place . STAY AWAY..
