For the first time today, I went for a lymphatic drainage massage + wood therapy. I didn’t know what to expect, but I do know just after one time the results speak for themselves. The Best Best Best! 10 out of 10, I would highly recommend. I am thoroughly impressed with the service received and the results look/are even more amazing! I love the lymphatic drainage massages at SpaLyfe. Lymphatic drainage massages are hard to find to begin with, but Pamela is the best. Ive done a decent amount of research into lymphatic drainage massages and was looking for a very specific technique. I had gone to a few other places before Pamela and didnt feel they were true lymphatic drainage massages. Pamela does an amazing job and you can visibly see results during the massage that also last well after in terms of slimming and contouring. Again, this is a very specific massage so definitely do your research before. Whereas most massage places will predominantly focus on your neck/back, this is a full body massage using the primary technique of longer and more forceful strokes intended to activate your lymphatic system. I personally find this type of massage both relaxing and effective, but for a newcomer to massage or someone who has mostly experienced a more basic massage like a Swedish massage, this will definitely be a different experience, but in my opinion well worth it.Ive also gotten the Power Brazilian massage and am so excited to go back in a few weeks to get that again before an upcoming vacation. It really helps to slim and contour your frame. I also did notice a reduction in cellulite pretty much immediately that lasted on me for a couple of weeks which was amazing.Pamela is an excellent massage therapist and really knows what she is doing. I really enjoy getting the massages at least once a month and find it has really helped my overall health and wellness in providing immunity support and recovery from workouts. She is also super friendly and easy to talk too so the time really flies by.

I had the Power Brazilian Body Massage with Wood Therapy. I started seeing results after my second massage! After five sessions, my body is firm, and much more flexible. Pain, inflammation and stress is gone! Pamela has helped me on my healing journey. I will definitely be returning for additional sessions! I feel great! Thank you Pamela!

I have been going to Pamela for several years and she is the best! She does excellent massages with lots of pressure if you want it, she can add hot stones and customize to your wishes, she let’s you pick the music and aromatherapy and is very attentive and considerate. She also does excellent and gentle facials and has recently added laser hair removal which is almost painless! I have recommended her to many friends and everyone who has gone loves her too. Her new location is excellent with additional space and amenities!

Attended June-October 2019....My experience SpaLyfe and with the owner Pam was very professional and friendly. The treatments I received (cool sculpting) was explained very well and I definitely got results. Pam took pics before and after as well as noted any positive changes she saw and recommended things I could do outside of treatment to get better results. I had not had a facial in a long time and was looking for someone who I could trust to do a great job. Pamela was very helpful figuring out the best facial for my skin, profession and age. She took her time, asked all the pertinent questions that helped decide which facial to use for me. My skin felt amazing for days after. I have seen her several times over the last 8 months for different services and because of her, I get frequent compliments on my skin.

I am so happy I found Pam! The massage was excellent! I love deep tissue massages and generally do not like women therapist because they cant apply the amount of pressure I require. Pams pressure was very heavy and thorough, she relieved all of my tension and knew where to find all of my trigger points. I felt like a new woman when I left. I will definitely be scheduling another massage with her!

I LOVE my Spalyfe visits & can’t imagine going anywhere else. I always feel welcome & relaxed from the moment I enter the front door. I am super happy with the variety of services offered and I love changing it up based on whatever my body is going through or needs at that time. The website to book appts is very user friendly and even will add your appt to your phone calendar which is an awesome feature. I’ve been going to Pam for a-little over a year and a half now and my body routinely has never felt better. I’ve only ever had a variety of different massages done but I’ve recommended her to countless friends and family members throughout the year. I ended up purchasing a package for my mother for Christmas and she loves Pam. I would highly recommend this euphoric experience as it is my favorite part of every month.

I purchased the Cavitation Package at SpaLyfe of 10 treatments for fat reduction and skin tightening. I have already started to notice a difference in my stomach after only 2 treatments! My skin is tighter and my tummy is flatter. Yay! I am very happy I found out about this treatment and had it done at SpaLyfe. I felt that the experience was very calming and soothing. I appreciated that Pamela answered all of my questions and explained the steps of the service to me. I had the most incredible experience at Spa Lyfe. I came in for a massage because I had been having back problems. I must say it was the best massage Ive ever had Pam was so knowledgeable and could pinpoint problems in my back without me telling her. She also suggested things for me to do to help alleviate some of my pain and strengthen the back going forward. I left feeling a lot better and will definitely be returning.

It was really important to me to have clear skin for my wedding. I was trying everything I could think of, but having no luck; until, I met Pamela. She was incredibly knowledgeable about skin types and treatments and, soon, she had me on the right track. In about 8 weeks, I went from mild/moderate acne to clear skin and my wedding photos were flawless. Additionally, I sometimes struggle with neck pain and my husband has chronic lower back pain from doing dentistry all day long. Thanks to the Spa Membership we are able to get affordable massages monthly and that has really made a difference in how our bodies feel. Thank you Pamela!!!

The new location at Platt and Packard is great! The massage service is my go to in recovery. For the last 3 years I have been running a marathon per month. Pamela helps me recover, reset and get ready for the next one. You will love the massage if you are an athlete who gets sore.

Candance has been doing my lashes for over a year and she is fantastic! I found her through Groupon, figured Id just so a couple of lash applications for holiday time. Ive seen her every 3 weeks for a year and I dont see myself stopping. I get so many compliments on my lashes and I love them.

I so want to support women-owned business, but SpaLyfe is one to avoid.This is a joke of a “spa” and Pamela Pettway is the rudest and most unprofessional character I have ever encountered in the industry.For starters, they don’t answer the phone.EVER.So you’d better have no questions!And in order to schedule an appt. online (the ONLY way to schedule anything) you HAVE to give your credit card number.In spite of my better judgment, I scheduled appts. for 2 IPL photofacials. When I came for the first, Pamela barely looked at me across the counter to find me ineligible for this service and proceed to try to sell me a more expensive one. She called this “a consultation”…Do yourself a favor and avoid this scam.Beware of the NO REFUND, expiration of packages, and late/no show/cancellation policies.Think twice before pulling out your credit card to schedule an appt. online, and above all DON’T PREPAY!!!!!

Pamela is amazing and sensitive and deeply insightful about what your body is experiencing, and needs. A little patience with any logistical customer service bumps along the way is not preferable, but ... is well worth what you get in exchange.

I used Groupon to find this place. The lady doing my facial was really nice, but honestly, it was lackluster. There was no towel keeping my hair out of my face, so little strands kept falling onto my face while she was applying masks and stuff. In addition, the light was very harsh and it was hard to find anything relaxing with the noises in the other rooms. The worst part is that my skin looked worse afterwords! I specifically told my facialist that I was worried about cystic acne and blackheads. However, instead of helping my skin, she ended up making it look worse and more acne showed up when I woke up the next day. Would NOT recommend.

I have gone to dozens of massage therapists over the years, and Pamela is by far the best. She is customer oriented, passionate about her work and customizes the massage to your needs.

I used a Groupon to get lash extensions here. It was for one classic set and a fill. Candace was very nice and accomodating when she had to come in on a day she doesnt usually work. The lash application experience was very nice (nice music, environment, etc). However, her technique wasnt the best at all--she glued extensions half way on some lashes (which fell off before the others) and completely missed sections of my lashes. To my disappointment, all of the lash extentions completely fell off within the first week, and thats with top care. I came back in recently for a fill and she missed huge sections of my lashes again. I am writing this the next morning and about 5 extensions fell out through the the night. I really wanted to love this place but I am simply not getting good results.

Pamela Pettway at Spa Lyfe on Washtenaw is a con artist, unprofessional, and completely sadistic in the way she gives a massage. She will try to pressure you into buying additional packages, and even if you ask for a refund the same day and cancel your appointment she will refuse to refund you. She has a NO REFUND policy hidden in a FAQ page on her website so you cant see it. There is no sign posted at checkout.During the massage, she grated her thumb into the stop of my skull until I had to scream OW! to get her to stop. My head still hurts 5 days later. I also have pain in my shoulder from her shoddy techniques. She also kept pressing her thumb into my spine which was extremely uncomfortable and made me worried she would snap my spinal chord.She is rude and will bend you every which way without asking if it is comfortable. If you want to feel like you are getting a massage from a bull wrestling rodeo clown in an unfinished construction site come here.

I really wanted to like this place. IMHO though I think theyre trying to be too many things for too many people. Their menu of services is way too extensive for the limited room / staff and it showed.First, I got a Groupon for a foot massage. I was surprised when there was no pedi style chair or something like that. I was seated on an ottoman with no back, although a round bumper was given to me to support my back. Then one of those drug store style foot baths was brought out. I was left alone for a foot soak and then notice a fly in the water, which kind of icked out the whole experience. Then when the foot massage started I was moved to the table. She definitely is strong so I imagined her table massages might be good -- as some have reviewed.I had eagerly purchased a body wrap special sent in an email *before* my foot massage, or after that experience wouldve canceled it. So I went with low expectations. Ive had a body wrap at Jessicas which was phenomenal so new sort of what to expect.I was told to disrobe to my underwear and lie on the table. Nothing to cover myself with so I grabbed something to at least cover my chest.She put oil all over my body, but it was just Now oil, which isnt as great as I expected. Then she applied some type of scrub, which smelled great. I was then wrapped in mylar (I think) and covered with blanket and left to doze.Upon return, she proceeded to wipe me down with warm towels to get all the scrub off. Problem is she only had a couple small hand towels that came out of the warmer. After she was finished she left one towel I could use before dressing. By the time I was home there was still scrub on me.As already mentioned, I just think theyre trying to be too many things.

Absolutely horrible experience. Incredibly rude owner. Purchased a COUPLES spa package from groupon. Called to schedule and was told we only schedule online. Bye. Looked online for the package and couldnt find it, so I called back. Was told its there, youre just not looking hard enough. Its called like mini spa day or something. She didnt even know the name of her own service.Showed up for our appointment and she told us they dont offer a couples package, Groupon screwed up. So I said Id called twice to ask how to schedule and she immediately snapped at me with woah, calm down. Do you want a good service today? Because the way youre acting youre not going that direction.We walked out and will be contacting Groupon for our money back. Would rate negative stars if I could.

I feel great after my massage. The stretching during my session really helped with my chronic shoulder pain. Clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and professional.

I had the hydra facial it was 200 dollars I willNot be going back and I really will not recommend them ,their spa consisted of a one room suite ,their is no to greet you and please don’t come a few minutes early “ I was finally greeted with “your early” and a face .It was just not spa like inviting, relaxing at all , the lady that did my facial was good and seemed to know what she was doing but they shouldn’t charge so much, since they are not providing the full ambiance and professionalism of a spa experience,

This place is trash!!! They cancel prepaid appointments and never have supplies. Dont waste your time!!! The owner is petty and ghetto. I paid and they cancelled twice for the same appointment. Dont go to this place!!!!!DONT PREPAY!!! They only have supplies for their white clients. Its a black owned business, but if you are not white dont expect good service.All of their positive reviews are fake.

TERRIBLE customer service and unproffesional owner. I had bought a service yesterday ahead of time before I even got it done and wasn’t told about their “refund policy” before buying so when I changed my mind because of their difficult scheduling and terrible reviews I just didn’t even want to get a service done anymore so she tells me I can’t get a refund. I didn’t even get this service done I just payed an invoice so I found that weird so I was confused on why she couldn’t just refund me. I went up there and I let her know that she did not let me know about her refund policy on the phone when she was talking about the service and her response was she didn’t have to and how Kroger’s doesn’t either but funny thing is they actually have it listed where you are purchasing...She also stated that basically I have to look for it on her website under the frequently asked questions when I didn’t even pay on the website which makes no sense it should’ve been posted with the invoice that was sent to my EMAIL and made clear, I wasn’t directed to the website to pay but apparently I’m just supposed to know to go look through the frequently asked questions for the refund policy.Any PROFESSIONAL place wouldn’t let this happen and if anything they would make an exception to make the customer happy but they LACK in customer service skills.

I was not even comfortable booking a service when they wouldn’t even take the time to throughly explain it to me before I attempted scheduling the appointment.
