Went In shortly with a large group, music was C - but doesnt really matter. Biggest issue was got a club wristband, walked out to go to the bathroom, then was refused re-entry without finishing the drink I bought in the club....
Was there in January on a Friday night looking to party. I even changed from my t-shirt into a shirt, since we read online that a collar is required for a dress code. After paying $ 20 for entry, we discovered that the club was completly empty. No one was on the dance floor, no one was at the bar. Just music playing and no people. So if you want to party here in January on the weekend, this is not the place!
Cheap drinks, good music, and a spacious dance floor. Just check for the DJ playing the night you go if you are into a specific genre. Im from the bay, so hip hop hyphy is my jam.
We booked this place for my bachelor party, and they would let me in. I would be upset if we had just showed up, but we made reservations and everything before we got there. The manager was going to let me in, but I just didn’t like the vibe after words. Mind you I am wearing a $1000 MK shirt it just doesn’t have a collar. I think this just Ruin my trip.
Good drinks, good bartenders, good dancers. However, due to covid, this place is pretty dead on most nights. And the security guards are super rude so be warned--they actively enforce masks in a draconian manner. I had a guy come up to my friends and ask us to put up our masks and we were drinking. But then we see another group 5 minutes later with no masks not even drinking and security walks right by them.
Probably the best Vegas style club in Tahoe! Ladies are free from 10-11. Plenty of security and good DJs and dancing girls. I cant speak for the off season or winter but the summers packed on Saturday and often a bit slower on Friday.
That day we went wasnt packed but had so much fun! Met Alex! Dont have his phone # but Alex this is Fernanda. If you see this my ig: xonandita Best club out in Tahoe!! 😁 Feb 5
Not recommend at all, bartenders will throw your drink away everytime.... ....tried to give them the benefit of doubt. most of the negative reviews about this place are spot on ...and if your a person of color dont go there, your ever move will be watched like a Hawk.Soon you will be banned just like I was, no reason, no explanation just because 8-26-22. I think Nick told me someone complained . What they complained about was me being the wrong color.
Forget about Ladies Free Before Midnight on Fridays & Saturdays that they promote on their website and in the hotel!!My girlfriend and I went there Saturday on MLK weekend and got on the general admission line at 11:20pm. There are two other lines, the re-entry line and VIP line. After the line there was a security checkpoint and then you enter the club.I quickly realized that they were holding the general admission line on purpose. Most of the time the security checkpoints were not busy and the VIP and re-entry lines were very short/non existent so you would assume they would let in the GA line. The GA line barely moved before midnight (about 8 people got in on this line before midnight) but funny enough after midnight, the GA line miraculously starting moving at a steady pace, with security letting us in one right after the other. The cover is $20. I have no issue with that. The issue I have is holding the GA line on purpose until after midnight so you can milk out a few more dollars from your customers. Id rather just pay $40 for two people before midnight so I dont have to wait in line for 40 minutes, its such a buzzkill. Make it less obvious with what youre trying to do at the very least.Maybe I was wrong and they were really packed. But once I got into Opal, I realized that was not the case at all. The bar had no line whatsoever. I was able to walk right up and the bartender attended to me right away. This was the case the whole night. There was plenty of space to walk around as well with parts of the club with lots of space to really break out your dance moves. So I dont want to get a reply back from management and make the excuse they were extremely busy or sold out that night.LADIES PRO TIP: If you want to get in free, get in line at 10, get your wristband, and you can always re-enter the club later.Overall once we got in the nightclub, it wasnt bad. Its sad that trying to get in the club just left a bad taste in my mouth because the club experience itself was good. People were dancing away. It was nice to not be packed in like a bunch of sardines and have room to dance without people running you over.
My friends and I were here for a bachelorette party and we had the most horrifying experience. First of all, the cost of a booth is outrageous. $500 for about $40 worth of alcohol and some juice to mix with it. Then, a guy slapped one of my friends out on the dance floor and then head butted another girl who was dancing. When we spoke to security, they took the guy aside and spoke to him for all of 2 minutes and then they just let him stay in the club. Finally, I witnessed a guy drop something into our pitcher of juice. When I spoke to the bartender and security, they did nothing but refill our pitcher. The guy continued to creep around the club for the rest of the night. Anyways, the whole night we were just on high alert and it was really hard to enjoy ourselves. Definitely won’t be returning here.
My friends and I went there for my bachelorette party. Both of my friends are transgender. After being verbally assaulted about our IDs by the girl who was letting people in, she charged us based on appearance alone. She charged both of my friends even though one of then identifies as female and ladies are supposed to get in for free. I do not recommend this place purely because of the rude and transphobic employee.
The opal lounge is everything you could hope for in a club. From the moment you enter the maw of the beast, you are drawn to the dance floor by the eloquent symphony of music keeping rhythm with your very heartbeat. It takes you for the night, and provides a safe haven for all those who seek true love on their journey though this crazy world. Once it releases you, you are left with one incontrovertible fact: the Opal Lounge is the birthplace of laughter, bliss, and pure joy. You have found the Garden of Eden.10/10 would recommend to a friend
5 stars for their dancers!! Incredible talent! Make sure you tip them, they work so hard!
Just as fun as a vegas style club! Everyone was nice and having a great time. Best club in Tahoe!
Great atmosphere. Not too crowded of a place for a chill night!
This place is absolutely wild in a fun way!
Hope to see you soon
Rude, uncooperative, lame, my worth it.
Time of my life.
