Love this place. Always friendly customers & bartenders. Austin was the bartender this time-good drinks & good conversation.

Staff inside awesome!! Its great to get a drink from them. Security... they need to try it again cause they tried to rip me off, when I call them out for not giving me my change back they wanted to 86 me for a sec (like I had major attitude no sir..its money). The karaoke nights are still wonderful. But security wont get another dime out of me if they treat people like that.

Came in on Sunday [now] and got refused service because Im too drunk apparently? Disappointing, I guess I wont come anymore. I think he just didnt want to serve us. Im not drunk and I definitely am walking fine. Weird. Anyways the dance floor is always fun but I wont be returning

The bouncer was extremely rude I tried to get my friend out of there and I told the bouncer I’ll pay the cover charger to get her out of there and he said no I’m not gonna let you in. For a queer club it seemed very subjective in the favor of women as most straight clubs are. If you want a true queer club experience you’re better off going to Seattle

This place is not a gay club. It’s gay in name only. 5 years ago, before Covid and before then, it was gay. Since then, it’s literally just straight dudes trying to creep on women while dancing around them in a circle (my personal experience tonight) maybe that’s what all straight bars are like... I blame the military guys at JBLM who came here since years ago and ruined it for us by slowly chipping the gay identity from this place only to score on our girlfriends. Tbh. I feel like maybe there are new owners who are straight who are milking the “gay” brand to get people in here. The only way to fix this is bring on the drag nights and gay music instead of the “Cupid shuffle” and the terrible music from the 90’s and early 2000’s. Literally it’s so bad that anyone with a taste in music will question who the eff signed off on the play list… it hasn’t changed in over 10 years is what it feels like to me..Edit: the bartenders are cool. But if you want a gay experience. Go to the mix. It’s GAY. Not the stuff you get from silverstone where you look at the guys and hope one of them doesn’t shoot you

I usually do not write reviews unless the service and quality was extremely bad. I came here last weekend and the security guards were being awfully rude. I did not feel welcomed as it is supposed to be an inclusive lgbt friendly place. Guess not! Stay away from this horrible place…

This entire place was awful and unpleasant. The drinks were terrible. The atmosphere was tense, and the background music was questionable. The service was dreadful and the bouncers were rude, disgusting and homophobic.

Trash vibes, aggressive bouncers, tedious rules, trap, sketchy area, cash grab- but in the strangest way….over pours drinks yet operates in an overly policed way. Disruptive bouncers and security. Separates groups. Makes women enter and wait alone. Not queer friendly, no hvac.

Drinks are decent priced and made well. But don’t expect the usual heavy pour you get at most gay bars. The food is really yummy but where this place gets points knocked off is atmosphere. It’s so bright in this club, also the music. 😐 it’s honestly so bad. Like the night I went was the worst pop hits from 2018 and I’m sorry if you play Cupid shuffle at a club… you just know it’s not a club for actual dancing. I wish they had edm nights.

Not a gay bar anymore (hasnt been in a long time, but The Mix is gay and a few minutes walk down the street), with incredibly rude door staff, angry bar staff, and a Fri/Sat $15 cover youll probably be pissed you paid. Club Silverstone is a straight bar.

This is not a “gay night club”. This is a straight bar claiming to be a gay bar. This is nothing but a normal club/bar full of straight guys looking to prey on females. I second Javier’s review. The owners are not gay and are focused on making money rather than fulfilling what they claim to be.

The bouncer treated the club like a straight club and only allowed women in. He allowed my friend in for free who was a women but now me. This is not a queer club. This is a queer club in disguise with straight clube employees

The bartender got angry at me for not being able to hear him over the music even after I explained that I’m partially deaf. My gf doesn’t drink (allergies) which seemed to make him even more upset when I attempted to get a glass of water for her. 2 hours later we went back to the bar, waited 30mins in line, only for the same guy to literally THROW water bottles directly at our faces because he decided we were “too drunk” despite the fact that my gf cannot consume alcohol without being hospitalized and I only had 1 drink 2 hours beforehand. Decided not to order anything and just close out my tab right then if he was going to throw things at us.Also, a few months before this my friend had his drink drugged here and when reported to staff nothing was done. They didn’t even kick out the guy who was drugging people.I will never be returning which is unfortunate since most of the people there are very fun to be around, it’s the staff that’s the issue.

Super fun place! Hadn’t ever been here till tonight. Great vibes and drinks where great. Not super expensive depending on what you get. Didn’t have the food so not sure how it is. Looks pretty basic. I got a Seattle Dog afterwards at the outside vendor. Saw a fight outside the club as well but you can’t help those who drink to much. I would definitely come again super fun, music was great and pretty diverse. Parking sucks but not the worst.

Dont bring a bag with 2 straps, unless youd like it held hostage for 5 dollars, in addition to the 10 you have to spend to get into a place that has mid drinks and no ac or windows.

Its so nice to have an chill affordable place to chill out and have some drinks and snacks. I had a few people with me and all felt welcome to enjoy Tacoma Pride festival. Bartenders and the janitor are friendly and make you feel welcome. Keep up the great work. Alex and Taylor bartenders were 👍 great.

Dont really get whats up with this place. Heard its lgbt+ friendly but still felt like my friends and I werent wanted there. Maybe hire some people that actually wanna be around queer places.

Went here for a date it was good vibes, nice people, had a few drinks but didnt stay long but definitely wanna stay longer next time. Had different areas the dance floor in one room with a walk up bar. Also, another room to play pool and chill. There was also an entire section for the bar to just a hang out in.

Finding parking is one of the biggest things coming here. Then the fee getting in is around $10-$15 for a small bar, small stage and pool tables which are nice. The only reason for the 1 stars is because of the security. You try to make small talk and they end up just turning you down. I get they deal with drunk people and people who talk back to their faces alot, but it kills the mood from the front door. The security also talks behind peoples back when you enter the building. They were rude and very aggressive when I was trying to help my friend up the stairs and to the car. Other than that, the only good things are the pool tables.

Went Tuesday around 10 picked up pretty slow but once midnight hit it was going good (had 3-5 drinks each and some food)

Visited from out of town and had a great time here, good vibes and friendly staff. Had to pay a cover fee but didnt mind that. They had multiple bar counters to order drinks so it didnt take forever to get a drink. We also enjoyed the throwback songs the dj was playing.

Went during a Wednesday karaoke night. The bar and karaoke are in separate rooms which allows you to control what you want to enjoy whether it be at the bar/pool table, or with others in the karaoke room. Had a great time.

Steven, Richard, and Bill are the BEST bartenders I’ve ever had!! This club is surprisingly fun ANYTIME and EVERYTIME I come because of them

Rude service from security and bartenders and dirty atmosphere most the time it’s dead it’s unfortunate what this place has became it used to be fun.

Not much to recommend here....this place used to be fun, low key, and safe. Now, the cover is obscene for this dump and security and patrons rival for most thuggish. Drinks are watered down and pricey. Security getting high on the lower level. Drug dealers on the dance floor. This used to be The Cuffs cooler, less serious sister bar. It is now relegated to parody. Security actually overheard holding a stun gun for a patron while the patron partied inside. If a fight breaks out in a Tacoma bar on a Friday or Saturday...this is the place it happens. Spend the time, money, and effort and go somewhere respectable instead.

Not a good place ! ever everybody drinking and the security definitely don’t know how to handle themselves in any situation. They’re more of the problem than anything they’re out of control. Pointing gunz at innocent people and pushing people is not ok or safe !

If it is possible to give no stars I would. The security in this place should be looked at, they are aggressive, combative and literally looking to start fights. It’s terrible and makes it feel unsafe, the opposite of what they are there for. It’s not the patrons causing trouble. It’s the security. Do better and evaluate your security staff. Word of mouth is power and in the past year there are over a dozen reviews making similar statements about your security.

Great place very fun place to hang out on The Weeknd

Went there one time the place was empty no one to talk to the sign said open me and my lady ended up leading I guess it wasn’t busy enough for the employees to be out. I live in the area and have been harassed by security on the other side of the block not even at there bar they said they were looking for somebody and I looked like him so the stopped me and let me go after I pleaded I just got off work dude. To top that off there patronage used my car as an ashtray last time a parked by there

The scene has changed DRASTICALLY from what it once was but overall still a decent time. Very packed when I went on a Saturday, some can say is a good thing, but moving around and the amount of humidity is gaseous

Bill was super friendly on the phone and answered all of my questions about their current policies. The front door security was friendly and courteous. The security on the dance floor was rude, obnoxious, and aggressive. Going as far as to push me with his chest in order to make me sit, while I was drinking at the counter on the wall... enforcing your unspoken and non written rule on covid policy by being 2 inches from my face, seems a little counter intuitive dont ya think? Get a grip, maybe evolve a little...

Never in my adult life has another grown adult, let alone a bartender, treated me the way Steven did. He embarrassed me in front of the entire bar and talked to me like a little kid. First time here and probably wont be back, sorry.

Fun atmosphere, fun people, & oooh the ~sparkly~ disco ball is a staple dance floor accessory. Too bad inside security is super racist & egotistical 😬 Im sure there are plenty of other gay clubs with nicer security to go to though so its okay

This place has the WORST security staff. We walked in and one person in our group had a bag filled with clothes from work, specifically nurses scrubs. They asked him to empty his bags and as he opened his bags this power hungry security guard told him he needed to leave. He was clearly peeved that someone brought a bag in when there was a line of people behind us. This was after 5 of us in our group JUST paid for cover to get in and were waiting by the stairs for our friend who just got off his shift as a nurse was rejected for having an attitude.After the nurse was told to leave, we asked for our money back because one of our friends was not allowed in for no apparent reason. This abrasive security guard (whoever was working the Saturday night door shift at 12 AM) refused to give us our money back. I told him he needed to give us our money back for unjustifiably stopping our friend from coming in. After some negotiation, he finally agreed and gave the 5 of us our money back.As someone from Seattle, who frequents gay bars that value inclusion, I will NEVER return to this classless establishment. The staff, clearly not gay friendly, should NOT be security at a gay bar. Maybe thats how the patronage is treated in Tacoma, but no one should accept how rude and aggressively biased this staff was treating people. Lets hope things change soon.

The bartenders need to be either replaced or reorganized. The cash bar bartender obviously moves with urgency but never gets a line because nobody carry’s cash. The old bartender working the main line moves with no hustle at all. Why not switch them and get the line moving instead of having people wait 35 minutes to get a drink. The place is fun but certainly draws a ratchety crowd at times that detracts from other patrons trying to have a good time.During covid I attended this place and got singled out by security for “not wearing my mask” even though I was actively drinking by the table I was at. After a warning they told me I was being forced to leave, they wouldn’t let me get my jacket, and then once realizing my girlfriend who was with me was pregnant, they changed their tone and apologized saying that all I had to do was sit while drinking and I could keep my mask off. Maybe an isolated incident but security could use some better communication skills with compliant attendees.

Staff are Great 👍 and so much fun

The place was alright, the service terrible. Came in with a party of 6, they had already sat, I never saw a bartender come take our orders, having to flag them down just to get a drink. If youre gonna have people ordering at their tables, hire better bartenders that dont ignore a whole table for an hour.The bartender that was serving us was ALEX, tonight he had a top knot for a hair style with a tattoo on the side of his head. On top of being ignored, he was extremely rude and slammed into me in passing like I was in his way. I WILL NEVER SUGGEST THIS PLACE TO OTHERS BECAUSE OF HIM.

Good music (Fri night) small dance floor, main bar charged $7 for my drink. Dance floor bar charged me $17. Every half a drink we were told to put our masks up. Cost $15 each to get in and be harassed the whole time.

I will make sure my review gets posted over and over even if you guys delete it. Security here is the worst in Washington. They literally carry around firearms and brandish them to show power. The uso Security is literally like a gang there and not even management is willing to do anything. They beat my best friend up and held us at gun point. Do not go here!

Karaoke DJ is amazing. Beautiful hospitality at this bar. Warm environment. Enjoy!

Worst service ever. Went here and was blatantly ignored by a bartender for like 45 minutes. Im from out of town and a friend of mine was showing me around town and thought the Silverstone was going to be a better experience than it was. Ended up going to the Mix up the street. If you like dank dark places and stuck up bartenders this is the place for you. If youre anything other than reptilian than you might want to reconsider this establishment.

The only place I go to dance in pierce county. Great staff and chill people. No up tight competition vibe you find at “normal” clubs. The layout is great. The dance floor is separate so if you just wanna play pool and chill you can. They even have a quieter room with foos ball and way more mellow speed. It’s just an all around fun place to spend a weeknight out.

I loved the people and atmosphere. Definitely get better bartenders that reflect your clientele though. After trying to close my tab AND spelling out my last name for the bartender, he closed the wrong tab. I told him and he yelled at me for not telling him my first name. Seeing as I 1) spelled out my last name and 2) am transgender and dont go by my legal name on my card, it was upsetting to have a bartender repeatedly yell my legal first name out to the whole bar after I had given him all the information to close my tab that he needed. If he needed my legal first name, he could have asked before closing the tab. There was no reason for him to act in such a petulant and rude manner. I apologized and told him that I didnt go by my legal first name after he closed the wrong tab, and he still felt the need to scold me and yell my legal name multiple times. If yall feel like you can have rainbows and pride things on display in the club but not hire bartenders that reflect that type of inclusion, shame on you.

Had a fantastic experience here recently. Alex was attentive and so fun! I had not been here since the pandemic began and was pleased to see that Silverstone has not lost its touch. My partner and I are definitely coming back! 😌

I would not suggest to come here on the weekend. You pay a cover charge of $3 which is fine, but then when they say they are over capacity, they dont let you back in. Our friends went out for a smoke, and they were not let back in by the security who also had a little bit of a power trip. The gentleman asked us to stay in line formation even though it was just us waiting as if he would be confused by the 3 of us in line. Its pretty sad that they have a tip jar sitting next to them and probably expect a tip, when they are not very nice to their patrons. Hospitality is key to staying alive in this business and they failed. Drinks were good though

The staff are super friendly and polite. They good music playing, the only downside is the dance floor is small. But all in all, this place is a blast to go to.

I have been going to this place off and on for years and the nasty attitude some of the employees and manager there never changed. They did some cheap changes and fixtures here and there to the place but also increased the prices along with it. Unfortunately, nothing has been done to remove the forever lingering stench. I decided to hang up my attendence there and head to the Mix up the street from Silverstone where the service and employees are great and really appreciate and respect you as a customer. Skip this place and head up to The Mix! Youll be glad u did😀

This place used to be the Gay Club everyone wanted to go to in Tacoma. Now its the club every young girl and wanna-be thug in Tacoma go to. Its extremely overcrowded and you cant even dance on the dance floor without almost getting a black eye as people flail about with how small it is. Also, while in line one night, the cover was set at $5 and because the line got so long they actually crossed out the amount and wrote $7 right in front of me. It wasnt even worth the $5 cover to begin with, but the audacity, lol.... I will never go back to Silverstone again. Id rather drive the 35 additional minutes up to Seattle.

I would give them a half a star but that’s not an option not only is the dance floor small as hell and you sweat your life away on it but they play the same wack music every weekend but none the less I was still going until the owner wanna get in my face last night over me losing my coat check the place is at mass capacity you can’t turn around without having someone elbow you your gonna lose it but if I can describe my jacket tell you my debit card and license which clearly looks like me is in there it shouldn’t be an issue but you tell me I have to wait till everyone gets their jacket till I can get mine. I had fun there before even though it was a tad lame but after that dude wanna get in my face a female face at that I’m not going back.

Terrible service! The bartenders are slow and not nice, they yell at people the whole time and talk bad about other establishments. It use to be a cool spot. But totally changed, Matt has to be the worst bad mouthing rudest server I ever met

Dont go here, not worth the rude service. Over capacity environment and bad experience to get in as well as to leave. Tried to enjoy the dance floor literally a large room with a door to it mark dance floor but we couldnt move much and it was extremely humid... never got a drink because the bartender wouldnt serve us.

I feel quite differently about this place than I did in 2015. They used to not be willing to even give you a glass of water no matter how many things you had ordered previously, you were supposed to order bottled water for $2.00 each, and they were kind-of rude about it. They changed that policy, and they were very, very friendly when I last went in. Im still skeptical, which is the only reason I gave it a 4 stars instead of 5.

Nice place but sadly owner is racist or stereotypical against a certain race . Wore a pink bandana tonight in support of one of my family members overcoming cancer and I got kicked out by one of his little workers when asking if I could speak to his “boss” that decided to kick me out and was told that I could be tased ( if you wrongfully tase government property you will go to prison and have you’re whole business shut down) no hostility at all but moments later I sent a friend of a different race in with a bandana and she had no issues at all . Being that people come there all the time with hats, underwear or things that show so much skin and Durags on and I wasn’t causing any trouble at all, I could never begin to understand why anyone would put someone out with a PINK bandana especially since I come there all the time . Everyone else is cool but the “boss” has issues .

Open friendly atmosphere. Regular crowd on weekends. LGBT friendly, good college crowd. Neighbor hood hang out during daylight hours. Grill entrees available anytime. Table games, karaoke and dancing.

Amazing place,May I say the food is Beyond Delicious and on Sundays every food type on the menu is half off. Delicious food and I cant say enough good things about this Place. The Staff is always courteous. Try it out . Im Happy customer.

Loud. Crowded. Wait in line for 20 minutes for a drink. Staff all have scowls on their faces. It was tolerable a few years back as a place to go dancing with friends, not so much anymore.

Always a great time at Club Silverstone. Ive been going there for years, and they really know how to create a safe and fun atmosphere. Everyone looks out for each other.

This is not a safe place for the LGBT+ community anymore. Just have that in mind before you go there

Dont trust their closing time. We paid $45 before 130 to have some fun. They closed no sooner than we walked in and kept the cash.Pretty dishonest.

Great place to have fun and dance. Karaoke Monday-Thursday. Definitely the best place for drinks, you really get the most bang for your buck 😜

The door man (old white guy taking the cash) was so rude. Please have someone who knows customer service and can handle the job/stress it comes with. He was in no way professional or welcoming at all.
