Place is very homey; quite literally. But makes it a little more relaxing than a corporate facility. I had Samantha; she did an excelling job. Overall, the reviews align. I truly felt relaxed and euphoric for 30 min afterward at least. The next morning my REM sleep (track by fitbit) showed a 7% increase even though I had just 6.5 hours of sleep that night! I just had my first massage with Urban Zen and it was great. I did a two hour session with Cecilia and was still wanting more! Already booked my next two hours with Cecilia. From a massage quality standpoint, she took her time in all the right areas I needed the most work. On numerous occasions, I noted how she went to exactly the right amount of pressure without crossing the line into too much. What I really love is when the massage therapist thinks of the massage in three-dimensions, not just leaving me flat on the table. Cecilia did this throughout the massage. She brought my arms and my legs off the table to work in different ways on my thighs, calves and feet, and then to incorporate my favorite part of any massage, she added numerous stretches to get at range of motion issues I have due to arthritis. Shes my new go to!

I have visited this location a few times and have received services from Cecilia Tran, Bella Jackson, and Miranda Sears. First of all, their prices are extremely fair for the time, products, and quality that you receive here! That was the first thing that brought me in. After attending the first time, which I will admit I was sketched out at first because the establishment looks like someones house, the vibe inside is entirely different! Its quite, calming, professional, and CLEAN! There is always someone to greet you even if they cant get to you immediately. They have all communicated with me, asked questions, and have checked in periodically. They also do their best to answer any questions you may have. I absolutely hate driving into downtown, seriously, but I make the drive just for this spot!

I got a facial from Abby and WOW. She is an absolute legend in the Tampa Bay Area. She does a great job assessing what treatments would be best for your skin and adjusts the service based on what you need. The hand mask is unbelievable, get ready for the best dry brushing of your life, massage, hot stones, perfect pressure, amazing extractions and hot towels, and then some more hot towels lol! I can not recommend this place enough! I had a 90 minute session with Elena and walked out feeling like a new person! This is the place to go if you’re looking for a restorative massage that will actually address whatever issues you’re having. My neck and shoulder pain has improved greatly in just one session, I will be going back!

Cant say enough good things about Urban Zen, other then I wish I lived closer. Every time I go it seems like its gotten even better, which shouldnt be possible! My massage always makes me feel better and I really like the mix of different therapies Elena uses. The location is really lovely and very well done inside. Feels like an exclusive day spa. I dont often do massages but had a particularly long, stressful week at work where I spent alot more time sitting in a small space and didnt have alot of extra time to exercise. Absolutely love this place!!! Such a beautiful and calming space and all the therapists are the best at what they do! I had a prenatal massage with Tammy yesterday and it was heavenly. She has the softest touch, yet did such a great job working really deeply into tense places that had been bothering me. I was so comfortable and she allowed me to relax and check out, but had a really nice way of communicating to me what she was doing throughout the massage too which I truly appreciate. You can tell she has a great deal of knowledge and understanding about the muscles in the body. Love how warm towels and essential oils are incorporated too, can’t wait to be back!

Looking for an amazing facial?! RUN to see Bella at Urban Zen! In my session, Bella used her vast knowledge of skin care and concocted a great mask mixed with two different jelly products to address my two main issues. She was super gentle with extractions and used a series of warm and cool experiences during my session, leaving my skin looking great and me feeling super relaxed. Already booked my next facial!!

I had never had a facial before because I have sensitive skin but the staff at urban zen bodywork really took the time to learn about my skin type and check in with me throughout the facial . It was soooooo relaxing!!! And they offer a vegan skincare line which is amazing. I am hooked and definitely will be coming back monthly for some much need self care in their beautifully decorated rooms . They make you feel like a queen for a day ! 10/10

Had the BEST prenatal massage and possibly the best massage in general Ive had with Samantha. She was really able to knock out a decent amount of my tension and knots. Overall very good experience and the place is super cute and relaxing.

I selected the 90 minute massage and left the rest up to them. The atmosphere is very welcoming and relaxing. I had a massage from Elena. She asked up front about any areas that need extra attention and allergies to products she may use. The massage table is very comfortable as are the pillow bolsters. Music and water features added to the relaxation. Elena asked what kind of pressure I liked, which is on the firmer side. It was perfect. She kept up the pressure and expertly works all the tight areas. She used various techniques in addition to her hands: warm towels, stones, back scrub, and aromatherapy. I felt wonderful afterwords!!! I have had lots of massages in the past and Elena is one of the best!!!

My husband and I both had massages last Friday and they were awesome! I had Elena and he had Cecelia for an ashiatsu massage. Love the casual chill vibe and how nice the therapists were. Elenas massage combined different techniques and was wonderful - she worked a lot on my neck and upper shoulder tightness. Since the morning after the massage, Ive had a painful stuck spot on the left side of my neck (not just the regular soreness that comes with deep bodywork - it is more of an alignment thing), but I am hoping that will resolve soon and is part of fixing the problem. My husband said his massage was amazing, too! I took off one star (I wish I could have done 4.5 stars) because I tried cupping for the first time and I would have appreciated a heads up that it would leave dark purple-red circles on my back and shoulders. Luckily I did not have any important events, but if you are in a wedding stay away from cupping in the two weeks leading up to it! Anyway, I highly recommend Urban Zen - we will be back!

Elena is simply the best of the best. Ive never been a regular massage client of anyone until I met Elena and now I wont go anywhere else. Shes talented, kind, empathetic but tough when it calls for it. Shes able to read your particular needs on a given visit and always delivers. She always remembers how you were on the previous visit and does skilled discovery to establish how to proceed forward with your bodys needs. I began visiting her to prepare for a full Ironman Race knowing I had severe back issues and could not have achieved that goal without her. Im a client for life.

It is a cute little oasis tucked away in South Tampa with a well-decorated office and comfortable tables. Stacey is such a gifted massage therapist. Her warmth and energy and knowledge of the body is truly a gift. In my reiki session she was able to pin point blockages and work though some. She also gave me tips and tools to work on in my body and mind in between sessions. It was truly informative and healing. I will definitely be back. I left feeling lighter and brighter.

I booked Ms. Tammy for the urban zen treatment. Her massage was one of the best I’ve had anywhere! Usually it takes a couple of appointments to find your stride with a therapist, but she was beyond excellent. Her facial was so great, what an amazing treatment! I had some really painful lower back pain that I had been dealing with for a few weeks so I decided that a deep tissue massage would be really helpful. I came across really great reviews for Elena so I made an appt with her. She was so down to earth and personable and something that could feel so vulnerable she made feel super comfortable. But mostly her massage was definitely what a deep tissue should be like. She was extremely skilled and got really deep into the muscle but still made sure it wasnt too painful. I was definitely sore the next couple days but after I was able to relax and recover I felt so much less tense and the pain in my back had subsided. Elena is the only person I will ever get massages from in the future. It was amazing and well worth the money spent.

The first time I received massage from Elena, I was 7 months pregnant and In severe pain. I had never had a massage before and I was EXTREMELY nervous but willing to try anything to relieve my pain. I walk into the office and immediately Elena made me feel comfortable and at ease.... The whole session she made sure I was comfortable, and really made me relax. After the first visit, I was completely in shock by how much better I felt! Starting the next week I went on to see Elena 2x a week the rest of my pregnancy. If I waited too long between appointments I was miserable, without massage I dont know how I would have made it through pregnancy!! Elena is great at what she does and you wont be disappointed!

Tammy is amazing (as well as everyone else at Urban Zen) My husband had recent back surgery and as part of recovery they recommended instead of physical therapy finding somewhere that can help with stretching and mobility! He’s been going twice a week for 30-45 minute stretching and he’s noticed a significant difference in his post-op recovery! I love getting regular massages there also and will send everyone there- they can handle so many different client needs!

Tammy is remarkably talented in massage therapy, and she was kind enough to offer explanations and education all along the way when I asked questions. I left feeling like my bones were floating inside of me, zero tension, completely relaxed and at peace. Normally after massages, I am sore the next day, and it feels like everything has snapped back even tighter than before- not so after this treatment. This place exceeded my expectations from the moment I walked in the front door. Stacey provided amazing service and even offered me a hot cup of tea while I waited for her to prepare the treatment room. A nice touch, unlike other places.The business is located in a yellow bungalow on Edison Ave. across from the daycare and Jet City Espresso. Plenty of street parking available during the day. Book early because they get busy during the week. Also, add the hot tea-tree oil hair treatment. Youll thank me later.

Im a dentist, so my day to day work consists of a lot of repetitive movements that are taxing on my neck, shoulders, and arms. Elena is a master at finding those tender spots and working them out so I can show up to work ready to go. Ive been to many massage therapists, but nobody compares. I love Elena and her work and highly recommend her.

I highly recommend Urban Zen Bodywork. The entire experience was very enjoyably. My husband and I went for massages and after, we felt amazing. On another occasion, I had a facial- BEST facial ever. I cannot say enough good things about this place!

I was referred by my Dr to Urban Zen, due to some muscle spasms in my shoulders and neck. Cecillia was very friendly, asked me questions to make sure we were on the same page on pressure and focus areas before we started. I didnt feel rushed. Her pressure was perfect, I like a very firm massage and she has incredibly strong fingers. In fact a week later at PT the Dr said he could tell she was able to release pressure in my neck (he might have been a little jealous). I also like they have overhead bars so she could walk on my back without endangering anyone and apply strong deep pressure with that technique. She also wore a mask the whole time, had me wash my hands, and I wore the mask when facing up. They are also doing temperature and covid screening. So very safe from a covid perspective. Touchless payment and scheduling. Very clean and professional. Already booked my next one! Thanks Cecillia!

I am always a little bit nervous when seeing a new therapist, but Tammy put me at ease immediately. I have had multiple therapists over the years, and Tammy did a fantastic job. She is very knowledgeable Going back as soon as I can.

I had a microdermabrasion facial with Jeanine and it was absolutely amazing! It was such a relaxing experience and my skin felt amazing afterwards. She even emailed me recommendations of products to use after the session. I would highly recommend booking a facial with her.

This was the best deep tissue massage I have ever had. My only regret is doing 60 minutes instead of 90 minutes! Elena is truly amazing at what she does and working out the kinks.
