Moon Massage

Ive never purchased a foot massage in ~8 years of living in Tempe, and my wife bought me a visit for Fathers Day 2024. I have paid for foot massages in Southeast Asia - which is a high bar for most messages to be compared to in my opinion; and this Tempe visit was okay. The massage was good, the service was decent, although I found their push for you to leave a tip at the end of the massage (well after youve paid a premium price) a little awkward, especially considering that I had trouble knowing what they were asking for. Their location seemed nice and clean but it was warm, which isnt the greatest in a boiling hot Arizona summer.Overall, the one time I visited was ok, but Im not sure how often I would revisit this business moving forward.

We flew in from STL to celebrate our oldest sister birthday and we all needed massages. Moon massage was flexible and accommodating with getting all 3 of us in the same day and the same time! Exceptional service! Very nice ambiance!

Love this place! I get 1hr reflexology foot massages monthly if I can. Great value, super relaxing, and I feel like I have new feet when I leave! The majority of the staff speak little English, and I’ve never had an issue communicating anything necessary like “softer please/firmer please” etc. It’s actually very calming to know that they don’t expect you to make small talk - you can just relax and they can concentrate on your massage 😊

Terrible service.. this was my first massage and it was nothing near the luxury I paid for. A total disappointment 😞 the room looked nothing like the photos I saw when booking. The lady was messaging me hard to the point it hurt 😪 slapping my butt like I was a piece of meat. Absolute horrible experience. I took my mother in law with me. I was so embarrassed 😳

I’ve had massages in California, Vegas and Arizona. This is 1 of the 2 worst massages I’ve received. It’s something my fiancé and I love to do together. She just rubbed massage oil on me in an up and down motion for an hour, I have a bruised lump on my arm from her & I paid before I received the service. I chose this place because of the reviews and the service I received did not match.

Prices was on a decent scale but I felt very uncomfortable the two lady’s kept talking during me and my friends massage, and they didn’t have enough staff so they had to leave mid massage. My friend said this was her second time there and it wasn’t a great experience for her as well but it being in the Asian plaza I was sure maybe good raves and reviews but no it was mid.

Worst massage I have ever had. I dont believe theyre licensed at all. So beware when buying the groupon. I left in pain and still in pain today. Lady never gave me her name or any intake information. Would definitely not recommend to anyone

My wife and I have had 100s of foot massages and this is 1 of, if not, our worst experience ever. I left with my shoulder and neck hurting more due to the lack k of experience and the wife was so unhappy. I feel like all the great reviews here are questionable in legitimacy.

AMAZING! I drive past this place all the time and finally decided to make the appointment. The place is very nice, clean and the staff is so friendly. Usually Im a little nervous about trying new places but everything about this place was wonderful. Quiet and peaceful. I did the 90 minute massage with reflexology and I left feeling rejuvenated. I would highly recommend Moon Massage to anyone needing to relax. Id give Moon Massage 10 stars if I could!

The most painful massage I have ever received. I asked this lady, whom never introduced herself, to be more gentle. She did for 5 minutes then continued to dig into my organs. I swear my kidneys are bruised. I left in more pain than when I showed up. Save your money and go elsewhere.

The massage was great and staff was friendly. Everything was great until the lady told me and my sister that we forgot to leave a tip before we could even give her a tip. My sister left her change in the car and the lady followed us to the car constantly saying that we forgot to tip her. A tip is not mandatory for a service that is already paid for. We always leave tips but this ruined the experience because she literally followed us to our car demanding a tip.

Communication was a big problem. I asked for deep tissue massage, but the massage was only oil being rubbed on me. Also I asked for hot stone treatment and paid for it, but it was not offered. Not sure if I would come back again.

Came to this place for my mom’s birthday. We always enjoy a good massage. They also have a membership to get monthly massages at a discount. Pretty cool :)

Had such a nice massage with May. She made sure I was comfortable at all times and was very accommodating. I wish I was local so that I could sign up for the membership as I am trying to focus on wellness. If I am back in town again, I will forsure stop by again.

Me and my friends always come to this place, their combination massage with warm stones is the best as it reduces body ache and relaxes. The staff here is really friendly I would recommend this place :)

Tried to express to them I’m in pain and their employees are not providing me properServices and their response is “u just want a free massage” listen to your customers so you can improve your services. Would gladly be there weekly if they could provide pain relief. So not only did they leave me in pain they verbally were offensive too. Repaying someone else to do the work.

My friend recommended this place to me. She really enjoyed her massage here so I thought Id give it a try. My first time getting a professional massage. I had Jason for a couples massage he deserves a 5 star review. However my partner did not have a good massage experience. They had Ana.. extremely disappointed. Don’t think she was a real therapist. She massaged my partners feet then their face. She was basically rubbing lotion on their body no real massage techniques used at all. If it was my review for Jason this would be a better review but because this place has someone who doesn’t seem to know how to massage it’s a 2. We also payed for hot stones and we did not get that. Very disappointed.

First off, they make you write a review BEFORE you get a massage if you want the add on service (even if you already paid for it) so beware of these 5 star reviews. I’ve been here before and had a great experience, today not so much. My partner and I went for a Valentine’s Day couples massage. My partner had Jason and had a great experience (would give him 5 stars if I could) but the lady who did mine made me feel like she was rushing to put as much lotion on me as fast as she could. (Literally just wiping the surface of my body over and over without any massage technique or strokes.) Then she did 2-3 strokes on each of my feet and then went straight to my face. I had been barefoot on their floors before getting onto the massage bed so she rubbed all of my feet bacteria and dirt on to my face. To top it off we paid for hot stones and did not get them. Lastly she was rushing her strokes so fast that she TORE OFF a skin tag I have on my shoulder…. I honestly don’t think she is a licensed massage therapist. The lady at the front said the therapist name was Anna “she thinks”. So kinda felt like she was someone’s family member filling in.

I love these ladies! They always ask how I am and really customize the visit to whats going on with my body at the time. Very chill atmosphere and super clean! I love the clean sheets and foot bath detox!

Amazing massage.. I was extremely exhausted after a trip and got a Combination massage with Deep tissue therapy and it was very relaxing.. worth the money

They only ask about tips! Through out the whole service! Massage was rushed and it was terrible, I had to ask for partial refund numerous of times and they act like they didn’t know English but know how to speak in English for money! Do not go! The place look it was put together. Management wasn’t there, only 2 workers! Moral to the story DO NOT GO!

I was hopeful about this place. The only reason Im not giving one star is because all of the staff I interacted with were courteous and friendly. I was scheduled for a deep tissue massage, which can be interpreted very differently by every individual. It was very difficult to communicate with my person.... I say person because I do not think she was a liscenced Massage Therapist (LMT).As a licensed massage therapist there were several red flags.Prepaying before recieving your service.Being told to get naked and onto a table with nothing to cover, I hunted for a blanket in the room to cover with.No intake form to ensure client safety or contraindications.My person was elbow deep over my spine and scapula several times, moved my leg in such a way I could hardly stand it even when trying to explain that hip didnt move that way due to surgery I had had several years ago.Was exposed multiple times after being covered by a tiny blanket.There was a lot of second-hand touch.she dipped lotion out of a tub/bucket that is used on everyone. Causing cross contamination.

Stopped in as a walk-in to get a foot reflexology service done for one hour and to my surprise the lady asked for a payment as soon as I walked in I told her I usually pay at the end of the service and she goes no you pay before and then I said it’s tipping expected (they have multiple handwritten signs begging for tips) and she goes yes of course but I said how can I tip without receiving the service usually it is customary to tip after you have received a service she just stared at me blank… so I said so if I want to tip at the end of my service how do you do it do you like offer me my receipt back so I can add a tip she could not comprehend what I was saying so I ended up just walking out. Very dissatisfied and to be blunt it’s weird being asked for payment prior to the service like they don’t think you got it. I’ve been here multiple times and have never been treated this way.

My partner and I went in for a couples massage. It was the best combo reflexology/body massage I’ve ever had. We did one hour and I wished we did 1.5 hours because it was so good. My partner had never went before and didn’t know what was going on/what to expect/ he wasn’t the most comfortable. When we walked out he said “I think I’m a new man”We woke up feeling significantly better and just overall very well and amazing, we know it’s from the quality of the massage. Thank you for taking such good care of us. We will definitely become members. Only $85 / month for 1.5 hour massage, foot bath, and add ons. This place is a gem.

I was fully prepared to leave a 5 star review, but unfortunately my experience leaving was not as pleasant as the almost perfect massage. I tipped what I usually would and was told “usually you tip more for that amount of time” she was very upset and asked for more money! The massage was amazing but unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be going back

This place was clean and seemed like you were going to get a good massage, but it was nothing special. One stroke foot massage. Didnt do the toes at all. No presence. Crystal was a big disappointment. And I really didnt like how they kept all my money like the change from prepaying at the beginning like they were gonna tip them selves in the end. That wasnt cool. Oh well. I wont be returning.

I gave my parent a giftcard here and she resulted to a bad experience. The workers there dont understand English, the workers gave my parent the phone to interpret the english, unprofessional to where they would interrupt your session to tend to other people, and ask for tips. I have been here twice so far and each time it’s great service! Normally I like a nice quiet massage and see if I can fall asleep but talking to the massage therapist is actually very soothing! She gets the pressure I request right every single time and does amazing wonders to my feet! I am a very picky person but I am so glad I found this place!

I took my Mom here for Mother’s Day and had one myself. Absolutely delightful! We had Jason and I think her name was Celeste (?) they were both wonderful. We walked in full of stress and tension and left like a cloud. The reflexology was incredible and I highly recommend the tea soak for your feet as well , like icing on the cake! We will be back !

Groupon 90 min package. Fairly confident my girl was new. Massage was rough and disconnected and felt rushed. The foot spa is soaking your feet in a bucket for 30 mins. I hope the business considers upgrading their services and training their people better.

Purchased a Groupon for the couples massage and firstly, it wasn’t very friendly. Most professional businesses answer with “Hi thank you for calling etc.” and all I got was a “hello”. Almost made made me think I called the wrong location. Second, I told her which Groupon I had purchased and immediately was told I wasn’t able to use it. That it was a mistake on their end. They haven’t even gotten it fixed. I was HIGHLY disappointed and wasn’t even offered any type of anything to honor THEIR mistake. Just more of a “oh well sorry. Can’t do anything for you.”Just that little bit of interaction actually turned me off to wanting to spend money at this business 👎🏼

My husband my daughter and I all got massage at the same time. My husbands massage was OKish...For me and my daughter the massage wast the worst massage we have ever had, ( we had over 100 massages) ! Therapists were very nice but they have ZERO feel for the human body. They kept jerking our limbs, pressing vertebras with forearm...

It was just ok. Small...like so small the massage therapist banged into my arms as he was trying to get around the table. I also asked for a full body massage and the guy didnt even touch my feet. Thats like my favorite part! It was just okay on price for what you get and you pay before you get services which is super weird. It was pretty clean.

Scheduled an appointment on class pass. 60 min combo - 30 foot, 30 body. Upon entering the shop, it looked clean, welcoming, smelled nice, and had calming music. The woman who greeted me at the front was very nice.The massage was great! The foot massage was nice, however my concern was mostly my back knots. She did a great job massaging some of those out using deep pressure and always making sure it wasn’t too hard. I was alone, but be aware that the room did have 2 other massage tables, separated by a curtain. I’m not sure if they put multiple people in a room together or not. Overall great experience!

I went for the first time today for their July 4 special. 60 min reflexology massage was fabulous! I have neuropathy in my feet and I can say with absolute certainty that my feet haven’t felt this good in years! The technician knew right where my pain was and worked it out wonderfully. I was pleasantly surprised that the service included a full body massage as well as detox. I will definitely be back!

This spa is 10/10. The staff and atmosphere are wonderful and their offered services are so diverse. We received the combo package which provided many different opportunities for relaxation. Booking was easy and their responses to messages were always prompt.

This was my first time here, I had a 90-minute deep tissue massage at Moon Spa; the costs were reasonable, but not particularly reasonable given the quality of the service. The cost of the service I obtained is completely unsatisfactory to me. In addition, it appears that I wasnt the one who chose the tip amount for the service; rather, the front desk staff forced me to do so. I doubt that I will return there again.

Honestly, I am so satisfied with my experience on the foot spa. It was very relaxing. I badly wanted to try the body massgae and I visited them yet again on the very next day. The ambience was well maintained and overall it was a very soothing and a comfortable experience.
