Jasmine is incredible! She makes sure I’m completely relaxed throughout the entire session and explains everything she’s doing. She keeps me informed about what’s happening with my skin and how to take care of it. Her recommendations are always spot on.

I had my first prenatal massage with Jennifer yesterday and unfortunately it is the worst massage experience I have ever had. First I was in an uncomfortable position that hurt my shoulders throughout the massage and I was not able to relax. She had no technique while massaging me, she was pressing on my bones and popping my tendons back and forth instead of actually massaging my muscles. I feel like I shouldn’t have to tell a massage therapist where my muscles are. She dug into my lower ribs and spine, pressed hard on my ankle bones instead of the muscles on the bottom of my feet and skipped my arms entirely. I hoped it would get better through the massage but the whole time I just wished it would be over. She was also burping during the massage which I found unprofessional. It’s very disappointing because I have previously had an amazing massage at another location but this experience made me not want to go back.

I have given Massage Envy multiple chances, and each time I am disappointed. The girls at the front are VERY kind and that I do appreciate. However, the massage therapists are AWFUL. This most recent time I booked with Jennifer who advertises light, medium and firm pressures. I requested medium to firm, which all my previous therapists do for me. I came in because I had a splitting headache and neck pain, the receptionist told me You will love Jennifer, she is so good with neck/back and head. I marked specifically that I wanted my arms, hands, neck, back and head massaged, and booked 90 minutes, which is more than enough time for this. When I first walked into the room, I told her I have a bruise on my arm, but you can still rub it just with light pressure to which she says well, obviously with a nasty tone and attitude - which gave me bad feelings right off the bat. She spent about 40 minutes on my back, rubbing the bones and popping things over and over again, avoiding the actual muscles. I know what a deep tissue massage is, this was not it. At one point it was becoming painful and I kept thinking when will this end...is this girl even a licensed massage therapist?!? Finally, she asks me to flip over, and continued the massage, on my LEGS, which I didnt ask for (this would be fine if she actually rubbed the things I DID ask for.) She didnt hit ANY muscles, barely touched my neck, didnt rub my hands or my arms. It was just one of the worst massages I have ever had. She also started 5 minutes late, and ended five minutes early, which is crappy for the EXCESSIVE amount they charge. Then she tells me Id like to see you again in two weeks, thanks - the exact same sales pitch she gave to the guy before me, nothing customized for my body and not even asking how it was. Then they try to sell you a membership... I did explain to the girls up front what happened, and they offered me a discount, which was nice. But then they explained oh thats how her massages are, maybe youd be better paired with another masseuse - then why dont you have descriptions online about the type of massage when booking?! Not to mention, I dont know what type of massage rubs and pops your spine. But again, these massage therapists are awful. At least all the ones Ive been given.

I had the BEST, most beneficial massage to work out stress and soreness with Jordan at the Massage Envy at Tempe Marketplace yesterday!!! He was thorough, professional, and a pleasure to chat with! He was considerate of any pressure levels in certain areas that I had concerns about and immediately adjusted and constantly asked if I was doing alright…. Very thoughtful session and I WOULD DEFINITELY recommend him to everyone in the area but then I wouldn’t be able to book an appt with him myself. Go check out this location… the front office was also great. Christina and Jasmine were amazing at helping me work through all my membership benefits as well. The franchise owner REWLKY knows what he’s doing with this group of employees! Total win for the day guys! Thank you.

Leah is great, she is very professional, listens to preferences and feedback and has great technique! Gives a nice firm massage. Felt relaxed and muscles less tight afterward. Thank you!

Vivian is a professional massage therapist who is a credit to her profession. Viv gave me a 90 minute massage hitting every trigger point. She sure knows ones anattomy I recommend Vivian to anyone that has chronic pain or needs to get their blood circulating.She has hands of a goddess....Ronald Jay Edwin, Sr....

I had a 30 minute stretch session & a 60 minute massage with Vivian. She is the best, gets right into my sore muscles which are my back, shoulders & neck. I am a member & have had other therapists & some were awful. But I found a great one here at the Tempe location.

I’ve had a membership for a few years now and I always have a good experience and good results. Most recently I had a facial with Kea and she was great! I’ve also had several massages with Anthony and he does an amazing job. I’m consistently happy with the professionals at this location.

I’ve gotten the hydrating microderm infusion a few times now with Jasmine and every time it saves my skin! She’s super knowledgeable and has really changed the way I take care of my skin and it has improved so much because of that. Go see Jasmine if you’re looking to better your skin or even just to relax!

Anthony is the best therapist there ever. I was so tense with my neck and shoulders and he worked out as many knots as he could in my session. I left there feeling like a brand new woman. I will be back to see Anthony again thank you.

Ryan has a technique which wouldnt be my go too choice, however, overall I had a great massage and I really appreciate how he would check in on pressure and my tolerance. Thank you.

Leah is the absolute best!!She is personable, friendly, patient, kind, and knowledgeable.Not only that, but the front desk staff is also wonderful! I would recommend this location to anyone.

It saddens me to write this as I’ve been a massage envy client for quite some time but I’m so disappointed in the decline of the business. I had a 90 minute massage booked today and 30 minutes before the service, I receive a call stating that the appointment had to be cancelled as the massage therapist called in. I 100% understand things happen, but 30 minutes before my booked appointment?!? If I had cancelled 30 minutes before I would have gotten charged, so where is the accountability on their end? Simply attempting to book me with another therapist (who I didn’t book with for another time I didn’t ask for isn’t a resolution).

Ryan was my therapist. He was simply awesomeMy favorite thing about Massage Envy therapist is how one have a unique style but they all care about your well being. Doesn’t matter which one one I book withRyan so far has been my fave.

Anthony is very good at what he does! I had a major knot in my shoulder blade and he worked to the point it’s not bothering me anymore. Definitely coming back to see him very soon!

Weirdest massage I’ve ever gotten. No rhyme or reason to anything. Rubbed one side of my body longer than the other. Was suppose to be a firm massage but was more of a poking and every once in a while a soft forearm. The light was on the whole time. The cabinets were wide open. I also could see the iPad with the time on it and it started at 50 min even though I was paying for a 60 min massage and was also asked to be there 15 min early. Also a massage room shouldn’t be right by the front door where everyone is having conversations. I honestly thought she maybe wasn’t even a massage therapist and didn’t work there. She was burping during the massage. I left flabbergasted and not relaxed.

I loved my massage by Tasha. The pressure was perfect and I felt so relax. I appreciated the fact that there was no small talk and I was able to just enjoy my massage. My facial with Breana was great too. She was very knowledgeable about the products and recommended a good spf. The staff at this location was super friendly. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Vivian gave the best massages I’ve had at ME in many years! It’s no wonder she’s booked weeks out, she’s amazing!

Breana is fantastic. She always puts a lot of thought and care into my sessions. She’s incredibly knowledgeable about the products and how they help my skin. Her recommendations are always spot on. I always leave feeling fresh and taken care of look forward to my next appointment every time.

This place is ridiculous. Don’t go to this location! They are not flexible and do not take care of their customers like other locations. I was not aware each location is it’s own franchise and their policies are different from location to location. If you have another option, I highly suggest going to another massage envy or rethink the membership option. I have been cancelled on multiple times for massage appointments day of and can never find an appointment after work which is very frustrating when you do find an open appointment and continuously get cancelled on. They don’t care, they just want your money. I called to have a conversation with someone and they said they would call back the following day, they had the other location I go to call me to tell me they would cancel me but can’t because the Tempe marketplace location wouldn’t allow it. I would of appreciated a call back from that locations manager to at least have that conversation. I’ll be taking legal action. If I could give zero stars.. I would.

The staff is always friendly. They are super busy though, so it is harder to get an appointment at this location than some of the others I have been to. Ive had regular massages and facials here and loved all of them. Ive done the aromatherapy, hot stone, and hand scrub enhancements once each and they were a nice extra treat but not something Id add on regularly. Overall, the membership here is a great deal if you like routine massages but if you are looking for a true pampering and luxurious experience, youll want to pay more and go to a spa. I used to have an Elements membership and switched to Massage Envy because of the additional offerings. I like that I can use my credits towards facials as well!

My experience with Leah was excellent. She paid attention to my particular needs and was in tune with what was needing her attention. I cannot say enough about I I felt completely taken care of.

Had a great experience getting a facial done by Breana. She did such a great job to make me feel relaxed and helped me to understand what my skin needs and why it needs it.

I recently had a facial with Wyatt. I have never felt so little about myself after leaving a facial. He tore down my confidence by telling me everything that is wrong with my skin and how their PCA products can help. I understand they might have quotas to make or maybe they make commission for the sale of extra products. But it was at the expense of my experience. He talked about them the full hour. You shouldn’t have to tear anyone down to make a sale, especially at a spa.

My Facial with Jasmine is always so relaxing, love getting facials with her! Jasmine is also very knowledgeable on the products! She awesome!!

The setting and calming atmosphere is amazing. I have a severe shoulder and neck injury and the staff at Massage Envy is amazing. They took the time to understand the issues I’m having and my limitations and their professional staff was just wonderful. I’ve only gone to the Tempe Market place location and highly recommend!

This is the first time going here, & I have to say I’d give 10 stars to Miguel ~ He was absolutely AMAZING!!! The reason I didn’t give a higher rating is because when I called to set up the appointment using a 100.00 gift certificate I was ‘gratefully’ given.. was quoted that the gift certificate would cover my foot massage & tip! When I got there & tried to give the certificate she said oh we do that after ur massage… I have a lot of health problem & my feet hurt so much that walking is painful, so I was BEYOND GRATEFUL that Miguel truly helped relieve my pain & feel better that I didn’t cry when the nice girl at the desk informed me that after my certificate I still owed 25. plus any tip… I know 40.00 may not be a lot to some people, but that hurt because it was NOT what I had planned on because of what I was told when I made the appointment! That being said… if u want a massage therapist that truly listens & cares about making u feel better, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MIGUEL!! ~ lisa

Ayanna is amazing!! I have been going to massage envy for almost 3 years and have started seeing her over the last 3 months. She has a great pressure and will either be quiet or talk whatever you like. Highly recommend her and this location. The front office staff is super helpful too.

Massage was great until I came home and seen multiple bruises around my neck, I didn’t like how the receptionist asks for a tip infront of the masseuse I feel like it should’ve been done discreetly.. I was so embarrassed and just agreed to the amount she said $35 tip with multiple bruises not worth it

The positive is they really offer an affordable price, cheaper than what most massage studios offer. However, I did not have the best experience here with their therapists. The first one I dealt with, once complete it made the ache worse. He said he was helping to drain out the tension, but I was surprised that it would manifest itself as a very strange odor emanating from my underarms. I never sweat that much or even smell when I sweat. I really believed in them and wanted to give them a try. I tried them 4 times. It did not get better. Also, I dont like how you only 45-50 minutes for the massage. Its way too timed and regimented.I finally got a doctors note to get my membership cancelled early. They really do try, Ill give them that, and I can understand that they might have some corporate policies that they have to follow for massage time length, and plus I guess you get what you pay for... If you do decide to go here, their monthly package is a pretty good deal...if and only if you plan on going on a weekly basis or more...

Front desk staff are great...friendly, helpful, etc. Ayanna provided a satisfying massage...appropriately asked questions about pressure, adjusted when requested and hit the areas we talked about prior to the massage.

Have been a member for a couple of years now. Go to this location for all of my facials (Janah is amazing, go see her!) and float around between this location and the others for my massages. It can be hard to find availability for massages so I go where I can get an appointment. Definitely recommend the membership if you can make it happen, it’s worthit!

Theyve recently remodeled the front reception/retail space, and its 100% improved! I think theres some remodeling dinner in the back as well. Staff are always friendly & helpful. Therapists are well trained & skilled. Their new computerized scheduling & treatment system works well, but makes it hard to book last minute it next day appointments, because its using all available appointment times. I guess thats efficient, but doesnt always for my needs.

I am so disappointed. I originally had a five star review, but my experience today was so frustrating. We have to do a survey of what pressure we like and areas to work on, so it would be appreciated if they at least mentioned when booking the person does not use any pressure. I was lying on the bed thinking when is this going to be over. I felt like someone was just running an excessive amount of lotion on me. She asked me at the beginning if the pressure was okay, and I asked for more and she said she would do the best she can. The WORST part was the head rest towel smelled like a wet towel that was forgotten in the wash. With about 20 minutes left in my hour and a half massage she mentioned a high pressure machine. I eagerly said can we please use it. That was my saving grace for the last ten minutes they used that machine. Which I paid an additional $10 for. When he asked at the front how it was and I mentioned the gross smelling head rest and how the pressure was significantly lower than I prefer, exceptional customer service or retaining customer type would say that ten minutes you used that machine will be comp’d, but no, just if I would like to rebook. No thank you. How can you leave a place where you should be relaxed more tense than you arrived. Totally blows, I was super excited about this membership.

I went to this location expecting to have a good experience for a massage and facial as I did at one of their other locations where it was great. this one not so much. The massage guy was OK, but the topper was when I turned over to have the rest of the massage he just basically massaged my shoulders and told me the session was over which was only 50 minutes NOT an hour as their add states. So basically I received HALF of the massage. The Facial lady was great, but that too was only 50 minutes. There are too many other good places to get a massage...BYE BYE

Enjoy coming to Massage Envy. My schedule can be limited so I appreciate that certain locations are open later (some until 8:00pm and others until 10:00pm). This particular location is open until 10:00pm. I also can tend to be a last minute scheduler since I don’t always know my schedule and at this particular location has not always been able to accommodate me when I am calling for same-day appointments. I understand the need to not pay employees to just sit around with no appointments scheduled; however, sometimes it can be nice to have that availability and flexibility for those of us who can’t/don’t always plan in advance.

Edit, my only complaint is they seem to book appointments back to back with no buffer time. So you never start on time but always end on time. So the 60 minute massage is usually 45-50 minutes, after undressing/dressing and them getting the room ready after the last client leaves.I really like this location, I have Meghan for prenatal massages. Shes great, **definitely recommend having your hips massaged if pregnant.Brittany is a nice esthetician aswell, Ive had her for facials a few times.

I went in for a massage using family membership. They were really nice to me until I said I wanted to think about signing a contract. After getting grilled with the sales pitch for a few minutes, the girl at front desk gave and said I owe a $10 transfer fee and pretty much pushed me out. Lol. Crazy sales people. My therapist was very knowledgeable and I got a good massage but the people at the front desk are the reason why I will not go back.

I have been seeing Rob aka Super Hands, and he is excellent at neck and sciatica issues. When I first went to Massage Envy I could barely walk and my pain was so bad I was nearly in tears. I have been seeing Super Hands Rob for once a week for a month, and I can feel a huge difference in my back and neck area. He is very professional, and has a great bedside manner. Super Hands Rob is always concern about how I am feeling between massages and encourages me to do things that will promote healing. I am sure the other therapist are wonderful, but for me Super Hands Rob leaves me feeling like a million bucks when I leave. Also its great to have the experience of a therapist being very excited to see you when you come back. He is a wonderful man and I would definitely recommend him if you have neck and lower back issues.

This is the worst office I have ever experienced. I had a membership and cancelled it. Scheduling was always easy. It the therapists never stay longer than a few months so it will always be getting someone new. Prenatal massages are worthless unless you just want lotion put on. When I cancelled my membership, you have to give 30 days notice, ok I get that, one last payment before I cancel. They didn’t charge me for 2 months after that and then all of the sudden started to charge me again as if it had been long enough and now I wouldn’t notice. The person I spoke to said she couldn’t refund me and would have the manager call me. She couldn’t say if I would be refunded but that if I was can take up to 1-2 weeks. I asked why I was getting charged since I had cancelled my membership 3 months ago. She said it can take a while and they have to manually waive the fees until the cancellation processes. 3 months plus to process?? Please. I am cancelling my card now because they can’t seem to cancel a membership. I wish I had never signed up with them to begin with.

I have a neck again! Ayanna was a magician. Didn’t talk too much and it was a completely relaxing experience. I will be back!

BEWARE LADIES they will not be responsible for anything!!! I had a horrific reaction to latex, the worse the dr had ever seen, getting a facial, putting my allergy on my paperwork and circling it, & talking to my girl about it!😡 they took NO responsibility, They wanted a Dr excuse to get out of the membership.🤣

Showed up for a massage that I booked. I am currently 30 week pregnant and have been coming to get massages since 12 weeks. I have filled out numerous pregnancy waivers and received massages at this location. Sunday when I arrived for my rebooked massage, they refused to see me because they have no prenatal certified therapists.. come to find out my last therapist wasnt even prenatal certified. Extremely disappointed in this location. I was also told that a manager would contact me to try and make it right. It is Thursday and I have yet to be contacted. Poor customer service!

Tasha really took her time to take care of me and made sure I left feeling relaxed and much better than when I came in.

I received a xmas gift card & used it in February & I signed up for the wellness plan. My 1st payment was on 3/10/20 in which I received a massage on 3/13/20. On 3/23/20 I got a voice call from massage envy saying that they were closed on 3/23/20 & my appointment on 4/9/20 was canceled. On 4/5/20 a girl called from massage envy, I told her I wanted to cancel my membership canceled she laughed at me & didn’t help by sending cancel papers. ON 4/10/20 A CHARGE WAS PUT ON MY CARD when they canceled my appointment & after I asked to cancel. On 5/7/20 I emailed my request to cancel with no response so on 5/11/20 I mailed with a tracking number the request I emailed. I got a text from them on 5/12/20. It took 9 texts within 2 days to get them to mail me a cancel form. In the 2 days of texts I asked to cancel my membership 4 times. I’m still working on the cancelation. I’m very disappointed in the treatment I’ve received from the rio salado Tempe Az massage envy

Was not aware until my wifes 4th attempted visit that the rate for a one hour massage goes up to $95 after the first visit. Instead of $55. I was never told that. The staff especially did not want to work with me when I called. I understand that is the policy but I have been misinformed numerous times and thought maybe they would work with me because clearly the message has not been relayed to the whole staff.

My massage and the overall service was excellent! I was just passing through but plan to return on future visits to the area!

I have been a message envy customer since 2013 and typically have decent to really good service at all the locations Ive been to, that is until I visited the location at the Tempe Marketplace. I called and scheduled a massage for me and tiny boyfriend making known I was an out of town guest and that I would like to use my member points for my boyfriends massage, the receptionist never mentioned that I needed to call my home location for this to happen. My boyfriends massage was ok I guess and mine was not even close to ok. The massage technique was inconsistent at best and not very relaxing, the therapist seemed bored and ready to go home. The reception staff was not on point either, Im so disappointed with the entire experience.

I have been to a few massage envy most of the time they have been okay i was not taken back until 7-10 and he finished 750 i pad for an hour when I brought it up to the front she look like she could not be bothered . she asked what do you want me to do. vary disappointed that i did not get what i paid for. then I was sent a lets response to this . I filled it out and nothing is done. I would give less than 1 star if i could

Christina is amazing at what she does, she knows what she is doing. Little bit of a warm up, then into the problem areas, then a final relaxing. She is awesome, most definitely recommend her to everyone.

They always are so friendly and accommodating! This is my happy place. The manager Alyssa is ESPECIALLY lovely and she radiates a glow that puts a smile on your face.

Every massage I have gotten at this location has been 5 Star! I am a massage therapist and have been consistently impressed. Nora, the aesthetician is an award winner. The people at the front desk always greet me by name. This is a well-managed business.

The website indicates this location is open. However, Ive called several times this morning to make an appointment and no one is answering. This only solidifies my past experiences where Ive been left with 1/2 a massage at other locations because the therapist ran out of time. The only reason I am going to Massage Envy again is to use a gift card. Otherwise, I would go somewhere else.

Kelly, the esthi manager is biased, racist & discriminates against people of color. Poor customer service as they are always extremely short staffed and unorganized. If you are a person of color, please avoid this location in particular. Kelly needs more manager and diversity training.

I love my local store because staff are friendly, the store is clean and I feel safe in the parking areas.

Unprofessional and prejudices against clients and staff members of color. Extremely poor customer service except the receptionist whom they also treat badly. Always under staffed and the quality of service given unsatisfactory. Highly do NOT recommend to receive services and be employed by them.

Best massage in the Tempe area. The ending is the worst though because they start the timer when you arrive and even count the time youre waiting as massage time youve paid for. It kinda sucks as you pay for a 2 hour and only get 90 minutes out of it just because you had to wait for someone else who was late or something and the paperwork for first timers is stupid.

I’ve been coming to this location for about a year getting new therapists every visit. EVERY SINGLE THERAPIST THEY EMPLOY doesn’t listen, is an amateur, and the staff suck just as bad too. I’ve been a member for over 8 years, and it’s this location specifically that’s the worst of them all.

Love my therapist Jenny! The front office people always seem to be in a rush (Tempe market place Weirdness). They made up for there strange pretentiousness by following through with some requests I had for my account; after dealing with them for the last 12 months...

Awesome!!!! I enrolled in the monthly plan and Im so glad I did !!! Instead if putting off a very much needed massage I just have to schedule it!! Thanks 👍

There poor mgmt skills are ridiculous the manger look me right in my face and lied to me and told me he never talk to me when he was the first one I talk to about the wellness program but his agent was the one that signed me up the very first day I came in I’m been waiting a month to be seen because of the billing cycle first agent told me first initial massage would be free which was supposed to be today and some how they want to charge my card today for the services this is not the case of a (Karen) wanted something for free I just want the service that they promised meMassage envy employees just be honest and ethical and u will gain a loyal customer for life👌

Im a member for over 7 years and have two accounts, have moved multiple times and have the benefit of service at over a dozen Massage Envy locations. I suggest Tempe owners teach their staff the valuie of practicing good service with existing clients, less chronic empahsis on Sales. This center needs to realize the value of maintaining existing client satisafaction when it comes to basic etiqutte. I love the massage therapist Chris who is a true asset, to Tempe marketplace, but hesitate to schedule an appointment, based on the above. Thank you for considering my input.

Great massages....but beware. I was charged twice for one massage on my credit card! Same thing happened to other friends of mine. Ripoff and now I dont trust this business as much. Not cool.

AND DONT WORRY WHEN YOU HAVE A BAD EXPERIENCE FROM FRONT DESK, MASSAGE THERAPIST, THEN MANAGEMENT ITS YOUR FAULT AND THEY WILL RESPOND WITH IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I CAN DO FOR YOU AT THIS TIME?! NO WONDER THEY HAVE TO FORCE CLIENTS IN TO CONTRACTS TO KEEP THEM COMING!!!

Not sure if the price and the policies are worth a membership but the therapists are definitely top notch.

Use extreme caution when signing up for a membership. You CANNOT cancel anytime, you’re bound by a one year contract. One year. I tried cancelling and couldn’t.

So this place just decide to charge me an unexpected amount. I call and they tell me they dont see anything in my account, but I call my bank and they say they have me for automatically monthly payments. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE! they will just charge you and do nothing about it.
