I have been here before and always had a good experience but today was subpar. The massage therapist told me it would be $10 more for a hot and cold treatment. He put IceHot on my back. I asked when he was going to do the treatment. He then told me that the IceHot was the treatment. The therapist’s nails were too long and were digging into my skin. I mentioned it to the massage therapist but there was no apology. The massage therapist seemed irritated that I said something. He didn’t check in with me at all about the pressure. I communicated to him what I needed several times regarding the pressure. Then he ended the massage two minutes before he should have and I didn’t get my full 50 minutes. I didn’t realize this until he left the room and I looked at the clock. When I pay for 50 minutes, I expect 50 min.The one thing I can say is that the massage therapist focused on the area I requested and overall the massage did feel good.I feel frustrated because I could have asked for a student to do the massage but chose a professional due to my neck issues, and I feel that the massage was student quality. I will be looking elsewhere for massages in the future.Afterwards , I felt more tense than when I went in for the massage.
Julia is a kind and beautiful woman, the best waxing I’ve ever had. She even did my toes! I didn’t expect that. She is super thorough and friendly. I’ve had my bikini, lower leg, full leg and underarms done with her many times.
I went in for the exilerate 4 1/2 hr spa package. It started with a facial which was very nice & relaxing by Rosalee. Then the mani & pedi with wax dip. Both were nicely done also by Rosalee. My complaint here is that my nails were not fully painted. Parts were left not painted. The polish was supposed to be chip free for 7 days but by the next afternoon my nails looked terrible & the polish was chipped & cracked. I was told regular polish remover would take the polish off BUT that didnt work even a little bit. I then had a massage by Leslie. I told her it was too rough but she continued & I continually grimaced in pain. The massage ruined by whole day. I expected to be sore the next day but it was much worse. By that evening I had bruises & was not able to sleep that night because of the pain. The pain also had me ending up in bed the next day too. No one should have to recover from a spa day. The point of a spa day is to relax.
Angel is the absolute best massage therapist! I have gotten massages in different types of settings such as resort spas and in different cities and counties and no one compares to him. He does amazing work in my deep tissue massages that has made me a loyalty member of the spa and a regular customer for the past 2 years on a monthly basis for him alone. Sometimes I go 2x a month for my massages and literally always book the 80 minutes with him. He truly cares about his clients and is super knowledgeable about the anatomy of the body. Spa Solai-I have been to the rubs location, skyline, and have tried different massage therapists at the 6th location for 8 years prior to my 2 years with him. He should be an instructor and in leadership. I have an MBA and a Masters in Marketing and so from a business standpoint this is truly the person you need to retain in your business to help it grow with flourishing therapists. He truly understands the customer needs, customer centric, and is professional. He also remains consistent throughout my experiences with him. Thank you Angel!
I had a student massage, and it was the best massage Ive had in years! Very friendly service by all.
I’ve been super stressed and overwhelmed and also have a special event coming up this week, so I booked a spa day package (4.5 hours) to help relax.I told them ahead of time that I like a good amount of pressure, but the massage was bad. I felt like I was flinching the whole time, and asked multiple times to take the pressure down. I finished the massage (I even paid to upgrade it to 110 minutes) and didn’t feel relaxed or rejuvenated whatsoever. Later that night, it physically hurt to lay down on my bed because it felt like I had been punched all over my body. I woke up this morning and I am covered in massive bruises literally everywhere (neck, arms, back, legs, hips, shoulders) and it felt like I fell down a flight of stairs, not like I paid $500 for a spa day.To add insult to injury, I also paid extra to have my brows waxed at the same time as the facial. The wax was way too hot, but I didn’t say anything because wax is supposed to be hot. I went on to my manicure and pedicure, and my eyes were really really hurting. I took out my phone to look at my face and I had major burns all along the underside of my eyebrows. I asked for aloe Vera gel, and when that didn’t help the pain or burning, I asked for a color towel to hold against my face, and they gave me some skin salve. I was told that it would be gone by this morning and the burns have only gotten worse.I felt like this was supposed to be a great experience where I felt pampered and taken care of, and it feels like it was a nightmare, especially right before a big event in a few days. Do not recommend.
I received a facial service from Ebrone , and she really put care and effort into my skin care needs.
The staff was very friendly and professional. The facility was very clean inside and out. However , I was disappointed ( partly because of its location ) with how much the quite large frame work of the nail stations client seating really needs some attention like a new coat of paint and also with how very over-worn and damaged the arm rest / seat cushions and the employees rolling chairs are it makes the cleanliness of the space look not so clean .
They were very prompt and quick after I checked in. Angel was very respectful and knowledgeable about my back condition. He let me know what he was doing to help ease my chronic pain. Gabi was also helpful in getting my coupon added and tipping my therapist. Even though it is raining, I feel so much better than I normally would given the humidity. Thank you all so much!
I spent my day off getting a facial, a mani/pedi and full body massage. If I was rich, Id make it a habit.Karinna gave me my facial and mani/pedi and she was absolutely delightful. My facial was great. My massage therapist, Debbie was wonderful.I work at a local resort and am able to get massages from amazing therapists and Debbie gave me one of the best massages EVER! She was thoughtful and had great energy.Loved my time there.
The people were awesome but the actual massage was not. Too much time was spent with hot towels being wrapped around my hands and feet and on my back, I would have much preferred to have just a massage. Also way too long spent on my legs, when I think of a massage I think of my back, I even mentioned I was dealing with right shoulder pain and there was hardly any time spent there. My therapist was amazing but the chain store standard of massage left a lot to be desired.
I am normally get my massages/facials on the east side since I live out in Vail, but needed to do spa packages for three so found Spa Solai. The inside is very lovely, quiet and welcoming. We did the 2.5 hour package which included a facial, 50 minute massage and mint foot scrub. We were all promptly brought back -- later I figured out while I started with the facial, my two girlfriends started with the massage. The overall experience and staff there were wonderful, the price excellent. One of my girlfriends from out of town said her massage therapist was the 2nd best she had had in her lifetime... and I would imagine she has had a lot of massages.I have two pieces of feedback for my experience. First, between the massage and facial -- they should have your next room ready. Instead, you redress pretty much and go sit back out in the side lobby area where the mani/pedi room is. I was also a little annoyed that my two friends got 80 minute massages and mine was only 50. (sure I was a little jealous!) I was 80 minutes in the facial room, although she did spend a lot of time on my feet in there; she spent a lot of time on my face outside of the facial with some cream/gel just massaging and rubbing. Well I just had some facial surgery and probably could have done without the extra facial time (and yes, I put that on the paperwork I filled out) I guess my point is, that you should probably tell folks up front they are getting facials that are close to an hour and a half since some are probably okay with 30-40 but not 80.Other than that feedback, I would not hesitate to come back here as the overall experience and staff were wonderful.
Best service and Best Massage i will be coming back for sure!
OMG. Firstly the premises are awesome. The reception area is everything you’d expect plus more, and the receptionist was very friendly, polite and helpful. The individual private rooms are tasteful, stylish, clean and I felt completely at ease. The massage table is perfect with a very comfortable face support. I was here on holidays and had not only been doing a lot of walking (which I don’t normally do) but I had been carrying a back pack (just with day use stuff … camera, water bottle etc).I had a lovely lady called Robin. Now before I tell you what my massage was like let me tell you I have had a lot of massages. I have ongoing issues with my feet, calf muscles, lower back and neck. If it’s not one area, it’s another. Over the years I have had hundreds of massages.I can honestly say that Robin’s was the best to date (October 2019). She very quickly located issues (some I wasn’t even aware of) and set about loosening things up.My only regret was I only booked an hour, I wish I had more.If I could steal this lady and take her back to Australia … I would.Thank you Robin and the staff at Spa Solai … I loved it.
Hands down the most amazing spa day I have ever had - not exaggerating at all. Ashley was amazing, went in and although I had book at the other location the ladies there manage to fit me into their schedule - Ashely was seriously awesome - I mean the massage was everything that I hoped and more , super relaxing , super calming , and although I’m pregnant she managed to hit all the spots that were bothering me without being too delicate or too rough - just the right amount of pressure and right amount of everything. She also did a happy feet service and my swollen/gross legs and feet are like spaghetti right now because of how relaxing and amazing of a job she did. Honestly I would recommend this place SPECIALLY Ashley if you are looking to relax To the max. Thank you to all the ladies there and the service - Ashley please never stop doing this - you are seriously talented and very easy going . I loved my spa experience thanks to you !!!!
Went here on Sunday for my first facial and I had the best experience ever! The spa itself was so cute darling and the receptionist at the front was kind and welcoming. Heather did my facial and she was absolutely awesome! We talked the entire time and by the end of it, I felt like I had made a new friend! My face felt so smooth and clean afterwards and I enjoyed every minute of it. I will definitely be returning soon and I highly recommend Heather at Spa Solai if you want an amazing facial from a very friendly lady! :)
I went there when I was pregnant with my daughter and I had a fabulous experience! I had terrible sciatica pain and even more with the baby sitting right on my left hip. I went in not being able to get up from bed or from sitting. The staff was so kind and helpful! I was so happy and surprised that I could get up from the massage bed like I wasnt even pregnant! It was so nice to be able to walk without pain! Thank you Spa Solai!
Never got a chance to experience service. My husband bought me 2-$200.00 gift certificate cards and I could never get scheduled. My daughter limited on time, pick up time for kids. Skyline location never answers phone and doesnt returned my calls. Finally the kept try to get me to use sister company, but the dont have all the services. Finally had to ask for refund. Ridiculous and frustrating! 🙄
Went for a massage, facial and manicure. The facilities were clean, and inviting. The massage therapist was very knowledgeable, and my massage was both relaxing and therapeutic. Manicure was fantastic. I will for sure be returning. Would recommend if you want a relaxing and reasonably priced spa day!
For the week of my wedding, I used a gift certificate for Spa Niva to unwind. In the same day I got a manicure and massage. Both were amazing. It was really quiet, but relaxing nonetheless. The women were all very nice and offered water and hot neck pillows. I got a gel french manicure which lasted almost 2 weeks. The massage by Anton made me feel like a noodle afterward. Its pricey, but well worth the trip.
Unfortunately bought a groupon for a massage. Signed up for a deep tissue massage and the first thing my therapist tells me after I’ve laid on the table that deep tissue hurts her. Understandable and I obliged to go through with it hoping to relax, but it literally felt like the most average massage ever. Went there because it’s in the same family as rubs, but I was highly disappointed.Edit:The manager Shaughnessy reached out to me after seeing my previous two star review and offered to make it right. I was set up with Ciara and wow!! This was a fantastic massage. The front of house staff was very nice and professional. My opinion of this place surely did change and I will be scheduling with them in the future.
Do not get the facial if you have sensitive/acne prone skin. I broke out in a horrible rash / massive breakout on my face and neck after my treatment.
My mother in law is elderly and a client at the Skyline location. She, myself and my husband have been calling for over 2 hours to schedule my father in law an appointment. Nobody is answering the phones or calling back. In the middle of the business day.
I have booked a pedicure at the 6th/Campbell location three times. The first time was several years ago. As I sat waiting for my appointment, it became clear the aesthetician was not going to show. The staff was apologetic and offered a free pedicure at a future date. That pedicure turned out to be great actually, but I never went back because of that initial experience. Today I booked a walk-in pedicure only to get a phone call about 45 minutes before my appt to let me know the aesthetician had to leave early. Maybe I have extremely bad luck??? I’m 1 for 3 in getting to actually sit in the pedicure seat at this location.
My sister and I purchased group one for the mini spa day including a facial, massage and manicure. Our appointment was for 10am and we didnt leave until close to 4pm.The facial and massage didnt take too long, but they only had one nail tech. We decided to do a mani pedi before knowing this. She alternated between the two of us, and was awesome, but it took a long time. As this was my sisters birthday, it works have been nice to know wed be there about six hours out of the day.
Wonderful massage therapists and aestheticians. Very knowledgeable, and will give you tips for self care. Highly recommend Akila for deep tissue massage (shes fantastic!), Lora for prenatal massage, and Juliet for facials.
I never leave negative reviews unless Im strongly compelled to. The facial I received completely messed up my face. I got it done over a month ago and I am still recovering. It was like my skin was burned. Ive never had this happen before and it was not the first time Ive had a facial. I got the most basic facial and still the checmicals were harsh. I think the girl who did my facial left the creams on too long. She also was using a bobby pin to extract blackheads. I would not recommend a place where they dont use professional tools. The massage was okay. Not good all around. I did request my money back for the facial and they respected my wishes. But really I ended up spending more money on treating my face after the fact.
My massage therapist Dulce did not meet my needs. I went there specifically to get knots and tension off. I came out feeling the same. I was happy last massage therapist that helped me she was great. I don’t think I will be returning.
I had a student, but youd never know it. She did a great job! I was impressed with every aspect of my experience.
My experience with Kayla C. At spa solai was excellent. She has been my massage therapist for years and always consistent, very professional and does an amazing job with deep tissue. I would highly recommend if you want the best massage of your life ask for Kayla!
Great spa with good monthly deals. You can also get a deal if you book a massage with a student masseuse. Ive had a facial, massage, and pedicure, and all the services were very pleasant. The staff is professional and friendly, and the interior of the spa is clean and relaxing.
I went to Spa Solei on Jan 18, and purchased their elite package (includes manicure, pedicure, facial, and massage). Everyone there was very nice and complete professionals and they took extra precautions to prevent Covid, so this review isn’t about the staff nor the building. After my nail polish started to peel off (which it normally does after a few days because I use my hands a lot) I noticed a small dark spot on my middle finger nail. Originally I thought that maybe I had accidentally hit my hand, which could have caused a sore underneath the nail, but that wasn’t the case. After my pinky nail polish came off, I noticed a green fungus on my nail and was immediately enraged. I have been getting nail polish of my nails for years (mostly glitter because it tends to last longer) and NEVER has fungus grown underneath the nail polish. That’s disgusting. I don’t know if the utensils used were clean enough, or if their nail polish is extremely cheap, but this is unacceptable. The only reason as to why this review has 2 stars and not 1 was the service. Your employees brought this review up. I would suggest that management throw out their polish and buy new ones, or bring in your own polish from home.
Very very light massage. Facial was very aggressive for sensitive skin. The special included peppermint which I did not get. As a massage therapist I would not recommend.
Relaxing & refreshing! I first went here after a car accident left my entire body sore. The guy who did the massage was FABULOUS (although I cant remember his name)!!! The inside is absolutely beautiful. Personable staff who care about you! Once you go they send coupons, its so worth it!
I wanted to buy my sister a gift card from the spa for her birthday. She lives in Tucson, but I do not, so I would need to purchase it on their website. Their website is completely unsecured. I would never put my credit card details into the website, because anyone can steal my credit card information when I submit it. The copyright on the website has not been updated since 2014. From the other reviews, it sounds like this salon offers good services, but sadly because of their unwillingness to update their website and utilize current, secure technology, my sister will not find out. I will take my e-commerce business elsewhere.
This was my first time at spa solai. The receptionist was so sweet to me and actually scheduled me for a very last minute appointment. My masseuse Juliet was so kind and sensitive to my health needs. I totally will go back again in the near future :)
I was in Tucson for the week on vacation and decided to book a spa package (it included the facial, massage and mani/pedi) and it was amazing, my pre-natal massage therapist Josh was great and worked on all the pain points I was having, I especially had some bad lower back pain.
I had a massage and a facial and both ladies were fantastic. They were conscious of my comfort level from beginning to end! Marisabella applied the right amount of pressure for my 50 min massage!!
I have had several massages from Ashley and once you are on her table you know you are in the hands of a real professional. She really goes after those knots (if thats what you need). She surely has many clients in a day but she behaves as if she cares about YOU.
I had a wonderful, relaxing massage here while on vacation. My masseuse was very skilled and listened to instruction well prices are very fair. I would highly recommend!
Place is great only few things 1. they over charge for a Brazilian wax and 2. I found alot of hair that was still on me after I was waxed. And 3rd its 60 there and they use strips. I found Wax Werks Waxing Salon they charge 50 but if you keep going back they charge 45 and they use the hard wax which is alot better then the strips.
Had my first microdermabrasion facial with Trina, and she was the absolute best. For a first time experience was awesome! Trina is very knowledgeable in what she does and she definitely makes you feel comfortable!
What an awesome spa to visit. The treatment I received with my massage and facial was a great experience. The front desk was very welcoming and the environment was so relaxing.
I come here regularly for massages. They often have great specials on Groupon. Ciara, who sadly is only in Tucson during the winter, gives the best massages in the world.
I booked for my mother and mother in law, first time here, they absolutely loved the experience and can not wait to go back, I will be booking for them again, thank you to the wonderful massage therapists Ashley and Vanessa, they did an amazing job with my mom and mother in law.
Very relaxing atmosphere. My masseuse was absolutely amazing. Shes got hands of silk.
Across from the U of A, it is easy to get to, ample parking. The inside is well done and inviting. Courteous staffing. Need the stress to be gone, ask for Able! Huge nail room, great for groups.
My massage and facial were nothing short of amazing. Do yourself a favor and look and feel great!
Got a massage, manicure, and pedicure for my GF. Overall great experience. She loved it all and they did a great job.
Services with Julia are always awesome. She turley loves what she does.
Good corporate brand. The massage staff here were basically interns compared to the skyline location. Not the best idea
Excellent Massage Therapist: Josh
Every time I come here for massages the service and staff are great with reasonable pricing! I highly recommend!
Best massage!!! Sweet people, nice environment!
I got a pedicure, facial and massage and they were all exceptionally good.
They charge outragous prices and dont pay there employees nothing near fair wages. Surprised labor board hasnt shut them down
Relaxing and close by. Excellent massages. Part of mycself care.
Staff friendly. Disliked increase of prices, but I get it. Would go again!
If you leave a pedicure manicure facial and massage this is the place to go.
I loved it!!! Great Spa to relax and get pampered ♥️
