Always an amazing experience here! Hannah is my hair stylist and always slays my new hair ideas when I’m ready for a personality switch up! My hair is thin but I have A LOT of it. Hannah has ALWAYS been so kind to schedule me with no time limit/restrictions since we’ve come to learn with how much hair I have, it is a atleast a 5 hour job! She has gotten me out of my comfort zone twice now. I used to have hair to my butt but she cut it and made me comfortable and confident with shorter hair. As well as dying me dark when I never have dared going anything but blonde. She has always made me feel and look so beautiful even after trying something new! Every one there is extremely nice and the inside of the salon is so cozy and feels Luxurious.

I am giving the review based on the communication process and not the service. I haven’t used any stylist there. I followed their instagram page and it looked like Nicole was the one posting. I searched up their stylists and services and Nicole was the only one who offered free consultation and also mentioned that she works with every budget. So I contacted her. Sent my picture and what I want and I am not sure if she understood what I was looking for but she hit me with a huge price and saying that it takes a while to go blond when I only wanted partial highlights. I told her my budget and she didn’t even try to work with me , every single time she kept referring me to someone else. I’m not sure if the price she gave me ($240+ for partial highlights) was because she didn’t want to do my hair . But she had no intention of working with my budget, it seemed like she tried to add extra work to my hair.

I cant say enough about Amaya Rodriguez and Chris Clanton-Achong! Amaya provides an amazing facial experience and love my brows - absolutely Incredible. Chris provides a top 10 experience every time for my hair, cut, and color! I have been seeing Chris for over 20 years and so grateful for her.

Usually a five star experience, but unfortunately, my stylist was out of town and was recommended another. As a dark Brunette , I went in for some subtle highlights to add dimension. With the expectation of warmth tones as a brunette, the look was brassy and orange. The stylist offered me more toning the next day, however, was still unable to take away the brass completely. The stylist reached out to me via text, aware of my concerns but stopped replying after I inquired about just all over color. To top it all off The stylist had a dog in the salon and chewed up my airpods while washing the toner out. Sucks to say I’m out 250 bucks and AirPods.To the owner who responded, i was seen by Audrey on April 13th. The name us under Monica Lopez.

Nicole is the best so glad I found her. Perfect hair color! Takes time & explains every step getting my blonde to the way I like it. ❤️❤️❤️ love this girl💕

Venus: Urban Salon is supper clean, trendy, and the staff are always welcoming! The vibe is very upbeat, and there is always smiling clients.Hannah Taylor: Hannah is absolutely one of the best hair stylist you’ll ever have the pleasure of working with! Shes incredibly knowledgeable about hair, color, techniques, styles, ways to keep your hair healthy, etc. Hannah is also super reliable, relatable, flexible, and patient. She’ll tell you straight up what your hair is capable of and will be honest about what she feels can be done on your hair safely. Are you looking for a solid color correction? Look no further! Hannah took me from a level 2 (almost black) to super light blonde in about 5 months and my hair never been healthier! She’s also incredibly talented with the scissors, some of the best haircuts I’ve ever had. Check her out now!

Erika at the salon is super friendly and was very helpful with figuring out a hair style that works for me. I went in with pretty much no idea what I should do to my hair as Ive never really grown it out long before. It was all very new to me and she provided a number of recommendations and gave me a hair style way better than the mess I walked in with. Ill definitely be going there from now on; shes a fantastic stylist, very friendly and knowledgeable ^^

Ive been going to Urban Spa for a few years, and always had great service. My previous stylist moved on to bigger and better things, but as a result I didnt find anyone that I felt comfortable with, and my hair unfortunately took a back seat. It became too long, took forever to do, and I was pretty frustrated. But lucky for me, Hannah came to my rescue!! She took her time, was unbelievably sweet, and I felt like we clicked instantly. I have been looking for someone that I can trust, and Hannah is it. I definitely plan to keep going to her from now on! ♥️

Edit: The below section took place this morning, and the owner reached out to me to apologize and make it right. She understood how shocking it would be to expect one price but pay almost double. I was really impressed and thankful that Karla reached out.I get my hair cut by one of the stylists here (Hannah) and I am very happy with her! 5 stars for her! But today I took my daughter in and wanted to give a heads up on kids cuts. The website lists kids cuts for 12 and under starting at $25-30. I took my 12 year old in for a trim. Took about 2 inches off the bottom and face framing layers. I went to pay and my total was SEVENTY DOLLARS. I asked the stylist how it was possibly that much and showed her that her kids price listed on the site says $45. She shrugged and told me that it wasnt a kids cut but didnt explain why. The main menu listing kids cuts as starting at $25-30 is VERY misleading when you end up being charged $70. It would be one thing if she had explained that this would be more expensive before she started and honestly I would have left. My hair cuts at the same place dont even cost that much! Anyway, beware when booking a kids cut or just go somewhere else where the pricing isnt a bait and switch.

I had the head spa service and a haircut today with Erika and it far exceeded my expectations! I instantly felt comfortable and enjoyed my time there. My hair needed the refresh, and I dont remember the last time it has felt this healthy, the head spa really does make a huge difference. Thank you Erika, cant wait to see you again!

Had a great lash service by Lilly but went to get a haircut by audrey and she initially cancelled on me and had me reschedule for the following weekend. I asked to reschedule at 6pm the night before my appointment due to a prior engagement thinking I was rescheduling for that Sunday since that was my original appointment but I had indeed rescheduled for a Saturday. That was my mistake and I apologized profusely after I received a text in the morning stating she only has a 10 minute late booking and stated she would be charging the full price and was very condescending. I told her I could make it 20 minutes late for a cut and color since I live so close and she stated she wouldn’t have time even though at the beginning of the text she stated she came in three hours before her next appointment. I also offered to come in at the original 1240 time and she stated she had already filled that appointment since six pm the night before and then just stopped responding to me. Horrible customer service and will no longer be recommending the facility.

Wonderfully relaxing experience! Saw Erika for a 60 minute head spa treatment. I just layed back and let her do her thing while I closed my eyes. Hot oil massaged in, scalp combed and exfoliated, followed by an arm/hand massage. Then shampoo/condition with great product that felt refreshing, lots of head massage. It was amazing!

Erika is a godsend. I had hair that was unmanageable and a mix of all the shades of brown I tried dyeing it last year. Frizzball mess. She came in with expert hands and beautified me! I feel so pretty now.Erika was not only an expert at her craft, able to tell exactly what color to use just by my complexion… she was a friend. Warmth and kindness, so easy to talk to! I told her it’s funny how I was sitting there 20 minutes and telling her deep dark things because I already trusted her!There’s something spiritual about going to get your hair done by another woman. Human connection. Erika’s chair was a safe place that made me feel relaxed for the first time in a while. And now I feel beautiful again.Not to mention the warm and pleasant greeting at the front desk, the way the salon smelled sweet and inviting, and the decor was beautiful! Overall a wonderful experience. Everyone was friendly and I not only got the haircut and dye I wanted, I got an experience I didn’t know I needed. Feeling accepted.If you’re googling salons near you and looking for the perfect place like I was, look no further. Let Erika fix you up! You deserve it. ❤️

I’ve been seeing head spa services all over social media and was so excited when I found out urban spa offered this service! Erika was so accommodating with my schedule and came in later in the day to see me. She was amazing and my scalp and hair has never felt better. It was so cool to see how my roots and scalp looked before and after the service. I even fell asleep during the service hahah! If you’re even thinking about booking it, do yourself a favor and do it!! You won’t regret it.

Amazing service. It was my first time there, and I will continue seeing Hannah’s every time. My hair turned out amazing, and I haven’t cared for my hair the last couple years. I’ve been having it done by another salon. Enjoyable to visit with a good attitude, and, I trust her with my hair and my color. She came up with a Lotta good suggestions. I’m 50 years old and it takes me a lot to write a review. I couldn’t help from sharing my experience with you all.

I was thrilled to see that Erika offers a head spa service. The treatment was fantastic. I was so relaxed and loved all the massaging. My scalp feels healthy and light now. Highly recommend!

So much good about Urban Spa altogether but I especially love Alexiss amazing hairstyling skills and great personalitiy. I always leave with my hair looking its best, a smile on my face and one in my heart.

I love Urban Spa Salon and Amaya is wonderful! Amaya’s facials are the best. Amaya listens to your concerns about your skin and then customizes a facial for you. I look so forward to my facial appointments because I leave there relaxed and my skin feels fabulous!

Nathalie was friendly, professional and focused. She does amazing work. I went to her for my eyebrow micro blading, shading and a beautiful blush on my lips!! I highly recommend this artist.

Went in yesterday for an appointment with Heather. She waxed my nose and ears and also trimmed my eyebrows. It turned out great. Didnt think I would like it but Im glad I was talked into coming. Ill be doing this regularly now and Heather will be my go to. She explained everything and talked through the whole process. Absolutely phenomenal! Thank you! 😁

We had a wonderful first impression and experience at Urban Spa Salon! My young child wanted their first (big!) haircut, so we made a same day appointment and went in. The stylist was kind, calm and polite, and spent as much time as was needed to make my little one happy with the haircut. We were very impressed and highly recommend this salon!

Very pleased with my hair stylist, Kendall Hammer. We had a bit of a snafu on my new color job yesterday. Today, I reached back out to her, letting her know there was no way I could go into work looking like this and maintain any credibility in my new management position. She was fabulous! She came in on her day off and spent two hours correcting it without charging me an additional fee. That is GREAT customer service and she has locked in a long-term client. Thank you Kendall!!!! I now love my new color!

I found my new go-to salon close to home! I usually go to Portland to get my annual haircut, theres only ONE hairstylist that I trust there. However, due to COVID-19 and the exponential infection rate in Multnomah county, I opted out and just stay within Vancouver area. I read reviews and called the salons that has acceptable ratings but they were full booked this week! And Im in dire need to get my hair cut to a bob-cut before my baby girl pulls my hair and scalp along with it. I was so glad Urban Spa had an opening for that day. I got Cris and shes absolutely wonderful. Im usually awkward with small talk, but Cris just got me talking. Shes a very good conversationalist, and gave me a haircut that I thought I could only get from my go-to stylist in Portland. I showed her a photo that I wanted and how I wanted it done, she gave me a plan on what she would do and if Im okay with it. I ask her pointers on how to get my short hair ready for the day when I got to work at 5:30AM. It was very informative! She didnt try to sell me anything (which is awesome). I totally would recommend this place and get Cris if you can. Shes wonderful and knows her craft.

Alexis Scott is a fabulous hair stylist. She gave me a great haircut along with good advice about haircare. Very personable and easy to talk to. The salon is very comfortable and well decorated, plus everyone there was friendly. Highly recommend.

Katy H is amazing! She fixed my Ombre gone wrong .. ( from another salon -- Utopia ) More then that she is really sweet and knows hair! If youre looking for a great stylist shes the one!! The salon is also very beautiful and quaint! I felt very comfortable there and welcome! I am excited I found Katy!! ❤️

I have been going to see Katy at this Salon for a few years now, and I’ve always had a great experience and Katy works magic! She’s always made my hair look fantastic and lately has gotten me hooked on extensions! Not only does she match my hair completely you never see any tape and they blend perfectly! She gives me the beautiful mermaid hair I’ve always wanted!!

The hairstylist Amanda I went to was fabulous.Here is why I’m giving them a one star ratingThere is nobody that man’s the front desk so you can’t call-in and make an appointment, you have to go online.Twice when I went in for a hair appointment they said that I did not do it right online and therefore there was nobody there to do my hair. It’s must not have caught it the lady told me.I drive my 84 your old mom over there to have her hair done twice From Portland because the hairstylist had done such a fantastic job on her hair last time we wanted to go back to herboth times they can’t find my appointment.What happened to just being able to call the place and make an appointment with somebody verbally over the phone? After the second time of not having our appointment we gave up and have now moved onto a different salonNot everybody in this world is computer savvy ( obviously I am not and neither is my 84-year-old mother)I asked my phone for the nearest salon around me and we were able to walk into a salon and be greeted by a girl at the front desk who was more than happy to schedule an appointment for usSad part is. We really like Amanda.

This salon was so cute on the inside and I felt so at home. I was so happy with my hair balayage that Alexis did for me, I’ve gotten so many compliments and I love the end result. The staff was so friendly and vibed well together, you definitely feel like everyone who works there are good at their craft and work together to make sure all clients are satisfied with their overall experience.

Beth is tops—a great stylist and colorist who listens to her clients well. She is also an awesome authentic person who makes coming to the salon a perfect experience. Love Beth and now consider her a friend. She will hopefully be my stylist until I am an old woman with blue hair. 😁

Went to Alexis Scott on Saturday and she was incredible, listened to what i asked, offered her expert opinion and guidance. And absolutely nailed what I wanted. I will be going back to her for sure. I would highly recommend her and atmosphere in Salon is very comfortable and stylish. Great place!

First appointment, charged me a no show fee because I was 20 minutes late and then she was condescending to me as well. Unbelievable customer service.Update: they were apologetic and refunded the late fee, it was appreciated

There are a few times you spend money and leave feeling like a million bucks! I love Kendall! She makes me feel like a cracker version (read smaller butt) Beyoncé. She is seriously a magician with hair.I found Kendall about a year ago through a local Facebook group. She saved me after I had a terrible experience, a bad taste in my mouth, and a bad hair day. We chatted over Facebook and I sent her what I wanted, and she confidentially explained she could do it. I hesitantly booked an appointment and she MADE it happen - better than I could have expected.Shes amazing and willing to work with you, she has an amazing vision and knows what will work and what wont, and better yet, she makes you feel beautiful. No one touches these locks but Kendall. Im incredibly thankful to have found someone who genuinely likes to make people feel and look great. I would recommend her to anyone

I love the look and the feel of the salon. It was my first visit and I got color, highlights, and a haircut. When the stylist was applying the color, some of it splattered on the floor. The cape I was wearing was in the way and I couldnt see where it landed, so I asked her, Did you get me?, because I was concerned that she got some on my shoe. She said no.I was SO happy with my color and cut that Kendall did that I gave her a pretty substantial cash tip. I paid for the actual service with my credit card. About halfway home I noticed the collar of my shirt was wet. I took a look in the mirror, and there was a dark haircolor stain on the inside of my collar. I returned to the salon and she sprayed the stain with hairspray, and told me it would come out when I washed it. I washed it immediately when I got home. It didnt come out at all! I also noticed that there was haircolor on my $165 shoes. I was NOT HAPPY!I texted her and to make a long story short, she reimbursed me for the shirt, but did not even mention the haircolor on my shoe, which will NEVER come out. To add insult to injury, she told me she would reimburse me with a check, but something came up and she wanted me to wait until the next day to cash it. Very unprofessional!You should be able to wear nice clothes and shoes to a salon without fear of having them ruined. I dont understand why they dont offer you the option of taking your shirt off and wearing a smock.I REALLY loved the ambiance and my haircut and color, but I just cant get past the attitude of this stylist and wont be going back.

The place it’s self is beautiful, but I went for a simple eyebrow wax and left very unhappy. She literally ripped part of my eyebrow skin off and they are still way more thick than I like. I definitely over paid for this

Cute place and the workers are all great. I think they are all contract rather than employees. That concerns me that they are being taken advantage of. Harder to get good appointment times lately. Not sure if that is due to spacing or not being able to keep people.

The ladies at Urban Spa Salon are so caring. From hair, to massage to spray tans, this place does it all. And their boutique items are one of a kind along with some local vendors that are featured at this spa.

Relaxing atmosphere and a cute little gift area. The customer service is top notch. You can customize a spa package for yourself or someone special. Highly recommend!

Nice people everybody wearing masks and they disinfect the chairs and they are keeping their front door open which is extremely important to ventilate the salon
