I am a recent grad 👩🏽‍🎓 and now a licensed cosmetologists!!! I decided to join the advanced cosmo (1300) hour course!! There was so many times I wanted to give up, but I had so many instructors and leaders who pushed me and never gave up on me!! I’m so glad I stayed the course! I can’t wait to blossom in this industry! I want to thank God and my family first and foremost, Mrs.Tracy, Mrs. Treisha, Mrs. Maria, Mrs. Jordan, Mr. Estevan, Mrs. Francine, Mrs. Courtney, Mrs. Bernadette & and Mr. Mark!! That’s not even half the people who have guided me through this!! It’s more than worth coming to this school and achieving your goals and dreams!! It truly takes a village and ambition to make it through!

Mrs. Corina the evening dental assisting instructor is just amazing, 10/10 would definitely recommend. She has so much experience and knowledge within the career field, as her current student I know I am learning valuable skills that will help me as I start my career. She always has time for questions and demonstrates how to do things properly. I love how she gives us the freedom to learn hands on but is still there just in case we have any questions. I doubted how much I would be able to learn in this short amount of time but Mrs. Corina has taught me so much more than I ever thought and Milan Visalia is so lucky to have an incredible instructor like her!

Spa service is amazing! Had a great massage service provided by Jennifer. Great pressure during massage, and pays attention to detail when I let her know my tension and pain areas on my body and what needs to be worked on. She provides a welcoming service every time I book a massage service with her. Thanks Jen! -Laura

In the Mani course and Ms. Fe has been a great teacher and has helped so much in phase one and wish she was coming along in phase two! Ms.Fe is amazing and she is willing to help as long you ask for it. Pay attention to class and take notes… thanks Ms. Fe!

I had a wonderful experience with Arlena for my gel manicure! She was meticulous and paid great attention to detail. My nails look amazing and Im happy with the results. Highly recommend her!

I am a current student here at Milan and this is my first time to all of what I am currently learning in my barbering program. My instructor Ms. Noriko for phase 1 makes it really easy to understand the material and when doing hands on assignments, she never fails to make sure we are all understanding how to properly perform them. I have gained so much knowledge from the time I have started and I hope to have more instructors like Ms. Noriko.

Four or five years ago I got a haircut from the owner. She was fantastic. She chose a cut for me and I loved it and now I’m going back this week. I hope to get the cut again. I hope she remembers. 🎈 Does anyone know her name? My cut was diagonal. Across from Crawdaddys’s. Oh, any discounts?

Mrs. Corina is an evening dental assistant instructor, she is such an amazing instructor. I would definitely recommend doing the evening class with her, you will learn so much from her. She has a lot of knowledge in this field. I love that she demonstrates things hands on with us when we don’t understand something, she’s also so supportive and understanding, she’s made this experience so fun for me!

If you decide to come for the dental program, I highly recommend Ms.Kayli! She is literally the best instructor. Her passion of the dental field is contagious and made learning about it truly enjoyable. I’m grateful I was able to have her as my instructor and make this a school year I will never forget. She genuinely cares about her students and wants the best for us. She always is there to help and makes sure no student is left behind. Every time I visit the Milan Institute in Visalia I have an absolutely fantastic experience. Belen at the front desk is always friendly and helpful. Today I had Cindy cut and color my hair and she did a wonderful job. I will definitely be coming back!

Mrs. Corina is an evening dental assisting instructor, she is honestly the best instructor I have ever had. Mrs. Corina cares a lot about her students and makes sure that we learn properly way. She supports us and helps us when we struggle to understand. She also makes sure that we fully understand before we move to another thing. I love that she gives us the freedom to learn more Hands-on. I have learned so much from her and I can honestly say that I’m ready for extern due to her help. She has a lot of experience in this field and it was an honor to learn from her!!

While being at Milan Ms. Arielle was always without a doubt very helpful during my cosmetology program. She was very experienced in hair cutting and extremely helpful while working with clients. Her professionalism was without a doubt never went unnoticed with us students. 10/10

Currently in the Dental Assistant program Ms. Kayli the 8am instructor is an amazing instructor. She cares for her students and goes above and beyond for her students. Always willing to help us out when we need it and overall a caring and kind instructor. Definitely recommend her if you are looking into the 8am Dental Assisting class. ❤️

I just brought my boys for couple haircuts and the barbers were AMAZING. Thank you to Victor, Mark and Oscar for helping your students when needed. They all did good. Definitely coming back for their haircuts.

Mr.Mark as the director has been doing great things. The school is being updated. The new instructors are great, they have brought so much more education and passion to the students. I’m happy for the incoming students, they will have all great things to look forward too.

Ms Arielle is such an amazing instructor she just makes sure your on your stuff doesn’t care how hard she’s being I think that’s something we need soThat we can get the 100% student experience which comes with constructive criticism so that we are pushed to being the best we can possibly be very patient and understanding but still very much honest when it comes to hair skin and nails . So that we give our customers the very best experience 🙏 I love how she cares and doesn’t sugar coat what it will be like being in this industry and it’s something that everyone needs to hear to mold us into being as great as we possibly can with the right and best knowledge

My instructor Ms. Corina she gets five stars, she is one of the best teachers Ive ever had, She has patients for all of her students she is there for us when we need it we can ask her a question about Dental and she has no problem explaining to us about Dental questions. Ive learned many things thanks to her Im pretty shy but she has made feel so comfortable I feel like I can come to her for anything and Im not scared to ask her for anything. I will miss her, I will miss my classmates I loved being in her class so much it was fun for me many learning and many laughs. Ms. Corina is the best instructor anyone can ask for not only is she your instructor she is your friend.

Ive had massages there by two different girls. Olivia is absolutely fantastic, she is communicative and professional and I would highly recommend. I have lower back issues and she definitely helps that. One of the best massages I have ever had. Cant even tell she is a student, its like shes been doing it for years.The other girl I cannot remember her name, I believe her name starts with an A and I know that she has short hair. I wish that I could remember. She did an amazing job as well. Very respectful, professional with excellent technique. I would love to book another appointment with her as well.

I am currently a student here a Milan. My instructor Ms. Tristen is such an amazing teacher. She is very patient and teaches the class so well. Ms. Tristin is very informative and prepares us for the next phase of our schooling. Cant wait for what phase 2 has in store for us! All the staff here at Milan are so helpful and kind im so glad to be a student here at Milan.

I’m currently a student enrolled in the dental assistant program and i’m almost done, i’m taking the 8am-1pm class and im glad i chose this class because of my instructor Mrs. Kayli! She’s soo helpful and is very hands on with us, so very grateful that she’s my instructor, she helped me learn a lot that i didn’t think i could learn! You can tell that Mrs Kayli is very passionate and knows a lot about the dental field and puts everything into perspective for us for when we go into externship. Thank you Mrs. Kayli for truly caring for your students we appreciate you!

3 stars for the school cause they can lack communication and seems to make it difficult on students but 5 stars for my teacher Ms.Corina (dental assisting program 5pm)she really strives on making sure her students succeed and will make sure she supplies the students with the necessary knowledge on hands on and getting the feel of being in the role for Dental assisting. She will go out of her way if needed for students if extra help is needed so dont hesitate on asking questions, its the best way to learn. She makes the class feel very welcoming and it unites students making us eager to help each other since we all have the same goal also making us excited about learning.

Always a great experience when I come here. The receptionist, Esmeralda and Joann are amazing. I never have an issue scheduling an appointment with them. Students are knowledgeable.

I will start by saying the experience I had at this school has been a roller coaster of ups and downs. I started super excited to get back to school at my older age, and the sign up process started out great with Ms. Natile and she had me intrigued, and eager with the Dental assistant program. It did take some dips and had me second guessing my choice with this program due to the lack of communication. With that being said I do think the school can improve on several things to make the students experiences better, including but not limited to communication, record keeping, and professionalism. I think the school has taken a turn for the better with the new director Mark and can clearly be felt on campus and I hope his presence at the school continues to make a better impact and experience for the future students.

Rebecca Davis was so welcoming and answered all my questions with answers I understand. She was amazing making me feel comfortable and making me feel like I could follow my dreams in my course.

Ive been a student here at Milan for about 2 months. Ms. Tristen has been my instructor. Ms. Tristen has been amazing! She is encouraging and makes sure we are understanding the material and prepares us for our next step in phase 2. Ms. Tristen makes sure all students are following rules and guidelines that apply to Milan and the beauty industry. One thing I admire about Ms. Tristen is her patience and passion for teaching. She is the best! Thank you, Ms. Tristen for all that you do and for sharing your knowledge with us. It has been very helpful.

I’m currently a dental assistant student 8am-1pm and I see everyone talk about Ms.Corina the 5pm instructor…well let me make my teacher look good Ms.Kayli the morning instructor, she is also a good teacher and will do anything and everything to help you understand. She has lots of patience & knows how to make a course not boring lol 🩷 Thank you Ms.K for helping me understand more about the mouth cause I honestly didn’t think I would learn anything.As for the school I think they should care a little more about the students and not just time & help us look for an extern site or explain that the day of the tour, if your looking to enroll have one in mind already or look for one in school also wish it was a little more hands on.

Id just like to give a huge shout out to mrs.Corina who is currently the evening DA instructor at Milan institute. She is truly an amazing instructor with so much love and light in her presence alone and very educational and helpful in all aspects. She is patient with her students and allows each and everyone to learn as times comes, she is helpful in understanding the knowledge needed to be successful and knowledgeable in the industry of becoming DA’s and future RDA’s. I am currently enrolled in a 1300 hrs program mon-friday 5:30-9:30pm here at Milan. My advanced Cosmo instructor Ms. Jordan is seriously the best! just when I was feeling hopeless here at milan Ms. Jordan definitely brought back that love for cosmetology. She explains things in a way you actually understand! Im so thankful I have her as an instructor :)

What can I say? I am a part of the Massage Therapy program, and though this class can seem daunting at times, there is always someone to turn to for help: the instructors, Jose and Lilly, other students, and always our ever so busy yet caring and attentive program lead, Kayli. If you are serious about what you want, come here and place a little trust in their hands.

I had a massage at Milan and it was amazing. Very professional and relaxing. Very nice atmosphere, the front office ladies were very helpful as to where to go. Will be back soon!

Had a day off and called to see if they had any openings, needed a hair cut and an update. They fit me and my teen in for that afternoon. We both wanted something new and different. Bryana, suggested baby lights and all over blonde a first for me and she did an amazing job, the teachers and students all help each other and seemed to love being together. Jade wanted bleached tips and a stripe to be dyed a UC color later. Price was very reasonable and the cut was free with a color or highlight special. We both loved the finished looks, and enjoyed the experience. I went back Friday for a pedicure and received a free manicure another special.Looking forward to going back for a massage soon.

Mrs Arielle was my favorite instructor (Adv cosmo) along with a few others , but she made class very welcoming and enjoyable to be there ! I recommend Advanced with Arielle Mondays Tuesdays and Saturdays 🥰

I was in the Dental Assisting Program and had the amazing opportunity to have Mrs. Corina Shaler as my evening instructor. She was always understanding and willing to work with us on our missing time/assignments. She even went as far as volunteering herself to be our patient in some procedures and guided us through a lot of our assignments making sure we were left very informed with no confusion or un-answered questions. She really does go above and beyond for a lot of her students.

The front desk ladies are very polite, always very helpful answering questions and booking appointment is very convenient. Joanna has been very helpful every time I have gone in always welcoming anyone who steps in.

I am so grateful for Mrs Corina. Mrs Corina is a Dental Assistant instructor RDA at Milan Institute in the Visalia location. I am not a student in her pm class, but the time, energy and dedication that she gives me is amazing. I appreciate her more then she understands. Mrs Corina has always went out her way with a smile on her face, to make sure that she is available so that myself and others can make up any missed time. I am able to stay after class for up to seven hours if needed for any make up work, lab work or hands on training with Mrs. Corina. I am a current dental assistant student. The teachers are nice and helpful. It can be difficult to get make up hours that work for my schedule and the instructors. Mrs. Shaler has been very helpful these last few terms. I’ve had a few emergencies and I missed so much time I was honestly thinking of dropping my term. Before I could even finish asking if she would let me into her class she said yes. I wish I would have taken more advantage of her knowledge and skills sooner. I was not lucky enough to have her as one of my instructors, but she is always has time to answer questions, explain things we don’t understand, and help with skills we might need a refresher on. Highly recommend the DA program.

Leaving for externship soon and Mrs. Corina has been super helpful throughout my time here in the DA program. I can say that she truly cares about each and one of her students. Mrs. Corina has went above and beyond for us to learn and achieve many accomplishments. I am super grateful to have had her as my instructor. One of the best instructors here in Milan.

The people in front were so rude. And so unprofessional. The lady in front stating go to a professional. I Had an appointment, just for them to cancel it when I got there, having to drive all the way from Tulare. Will Not be going back.

I will never forget Ms. Sonja (the evening medical assistant teacher). She has made my experience here soooo worth it! I feel like I am ready to take on the world & jump straight into a career because of the confidence and independence I have gained from being instructed by her. I was super nervous going into the program because the thought of the medical field can be overwhelming, but Ms. Sonja has taught me so thoroughly and is so hands-on that I feel like I am very well prepared. I could not be any more grateful! Thank you Ms. Sonja for being so engaged, and willing to truly help your students succeed, I will remember you and all of your lessons forever!

Shoutout to Bernadette Sua she is truly awesome. I am a previous student, and was going thru a rough time with my previous employer and she was the best! She gave me nothing but positive advice. She heard me out with all of my problems and helped guide me in the right direction. You know... Ive wrestled with the thought of doing this review. But after being treated by Ana who is paid staff and works that front counter, and the 2 students assigned to our service in such a horrible manner I feel obligated to do so. This review might go unseen, and nothing may come of it by directors/owners... But if even 1other customer has been treated as we were, hopefully they will come forward and we can actually do something about how unprofessional and nasty they really believe they can treat potential clients.Now, Ive worked customer service, shift lead and some other authoritive positions, so i know first hand that who ever works that front counter/register/door/window/counter etc is a face to the company they work for. So of-course they are representing them right? And i can guarantee that this is not the first time Anna has treated a potential client like this, She was to confident and comfortable with her whole demeanor for this to be the 1st time.So i take my 71 year old aunt in to get a mani and hair cutt, i had just signed er out of assisted living for a few hours seeing that her bday is in a few days. Being unemployed at the moment i was hoping to spend $65 on both there with whoever was assigned to our service. Well to make a long story short.. we wait over 20 minutes and the 2 students who come out verbalize to Anna that they are busy doing something else, and standing right here i see and hear them agreeing to do service but not wanting to. The hair dresser even went as far as saying, well Ive never cut short hair before, so i dont wanna do it. When in reality it was cause she was doing some other students highlights and didnt CARE TO DO THE SERVICE! I then tell Anna, hey if she dont wanna cut my aunts hair that is fine, but please dont force her to do it. Anna dont really say anything at that point. immediately after the nail tech who also just told Anna she was back there with her own client doing a service, but would still do ours, walks over to me and sais hello im gonna do Marias mani but i wanted to let you know i still have to go back there and set up my station so ill be back for you in about 10-15 minutes. why lie? ur station was already set up but you wanted to finish what yu started already before doing our service. i then asked her Did they barely call u to do our service? She said yes and walked away. well i go get my phone in car and when i come back in theres an instructor stating i used some questionable language with nail tech and now they were not comfortable with doing service. she would need to find another student.Fast forward we were denied service die to students feeling uncomfortable and that we just sat there well over 45 minutes and Anna seen and witnessed that the real issue was not me or my aunt and she still allowed it to happen knowing dam well it was unfounded allegations straight up. when i asked for a name and phone number to director she rudely said im not giving you that info , said there was no number i could call. and i again asked her to pleasse give me the contact name and number to person who handles complaints She got a sticky not and gave me a number that didnt even work!!!!HR should really do a thorough investigation on how many times shes done this to people. i feel so dumb founded and offended. Its sad.

About two weeks ago I went in to get acrylic nails with Alicia C and till this day they still look as good as day one. Alicia did a fantastic job creating the designs I had in mind, she is incredibly talented and knowledgeable in her profession. I am a recent Grad from the Esthetician program and I would highly recommend it to anyone that is interested! The staff at Milan are always so helpful and supportive, making sure the students have all the proper tools and resources to reach graduation. I completed the program while working a full-time job at night and going to school during the day. There was a lot of obstacles but is possible to get it done! My teachers were incredible every step of the way. They are so full of knowledge and willing to spend time with each student explaining/showing how to properly take care of clients. I would 1000% recommend Milan to anyone wanting to become an great Esthetician!

I went in for a basic facial done by Selina Trujillo on March 27,2023. Selina was very professional and made my experience feel so good. I felt very comfortable and she explained what she was doing along the way as well as what products she was using. She always made sure i was comfortable and not feeling any discomfort. I recently graduated on Monday, and i honestly miss my fellow classmates and my teacher Miss. Vicky a lot. Miss. Vicky helped me in so many ways not just for school but personal as well. I am very thankful fr the gime she took to make sure every student full understood everything that we did in the lab. She helped us to become even more comfortable about doing injections and phlebotomy, and always told us to kee practicing. Thank you for all your help. I will be by to visit all of you guys soon.

I have been having my hair done by Millie Wilkerson. She always takes her time and does an amazing job with getting my hair back to blonde after over a year of not having it colored. I have been going to her for regular root touch ups and trims. Millie is very outgoing, funny and friendly. I will definitely keep going to her.

I was referred here by Victoria Alvarez she’s one of the night students, I’m really grateful that I took her recommendation because my hair feels like brand new like virgin hair. The front desk lady Ana was very helpful in getting me set up for a deep condition and scalp treatment. The young woman who touched my hair was Veronica, let me just start off by saying she is definitely a rare gem, I got to know her a little in that little time frame and she definitely provided me with great customer service, answered all my questions about the products they use. Christopher was also very kind to make customer engagement by asking me what I had planned and hyping me up for an event I was about to go too, he also gave me great info on questions I was asking like why my hair has so much volume now etc. I also felt like there was great engagement with Natalie, Christian, and Ashley (along with Vero, and Christopher) we all kind of started talking about beliefs, especially mine and I felt no judgement there, it felt like a great positive space for me, you know usually at hair salons you kind of just want to tell the hair stylist everything that’s going on in your life and this made me definitely get comfortable here. Let’s just say my experience was beyond what I expected customer service was great and my hair, man my hair words can not explain how great it feels I got my hair done on a Friday, and it’s Tuesday and my hair still feels great. I will definitely be coming once a month❤️

I am super grateful for the experience I gained here at Milan in the cosmetology program. The staff is always supportive from the Directors, to Registrar and of course the instructors they are all so motivating in different ways and I couldn’t have done it without them! I went in to get my hair dyed green and not only did it turn out absolutely stunning and exactly like the picture, but the ones doing my hair, Brianna and Marcus made the whole experience worth while! they worked together on my hair and with that it went by faster when it would have been a whole day! This service was the best and of course I will be going back everytime i want a new color or cut😌

I did the night AMA class from 5:30pm to 10:30pm with Mrs. Salazar. My experience was wonderful. I really enjoyed the class. I was taught many things that I will be implementing into my career. I also met wonderful women, who I became good friend with. Mrs. Salazar is an amazing teacher and provides you with all the tools you need. She will mentally, prepare you into going into the medical field. She will encourage you to always do good and she will help you with anything you need. I am very thankful for all her help. Went to school here, they didnt work with me having medical problems. They withdrew me while I believed i was on a leave. I kept calling to speak to someone for a week they never returned my calls or answered. only one good instructor in the esthetician program which was Ms Lorraine.

My daughter and I both went in for the Pampered & Polished package, which included a dye, cut, style, full set acrylics and spa pedicure. We both loved our cut, dye and style we got from Faith & Sienna! I definitely recommend these ladies! Gave 4 stars because we did not receive the whole package due to timing. But overall a great experience.

I attended Milan for the massage therapy program and I really enjoyed it. I feel I got all the information I need to become a great massage therapist. My 2 instructors were amazing and helped me with everything throughout the entire process. Always willing to go above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience and education.

Currently a student in the administrative specialist program & honestly I’m so glad I decided to enroll! I’m currently on my last month of the school portion & I’ve learned so much from my instructor. She’s honestly a great instructor and is extremely knowledgeable! I’ve always loved coming here. I am a teacher and I feel very strongly about student learning. I know that this is a student salon and I’m ok with that, I’ve always been pleased with the results. So when my daughter wanted to try a pixie cut I said let’s go. My daughter has very long thick hair. So when the instructor said that it would take a while I was fine with that. But then I heard the instructor tell her student that this is a very difficult cut and we should have went to an actual salon and not a school. I was so mad that I almost took my daughter and left but they had already started to cut. So I sat there while listening to the instructor say over and over how difficult of a cut my daughter picked out. So maybe if the cut is too difficult then let the client know that you can’t/don’t want to do it, instead is complaining while doing the cut. And I thought the school would want to have clients asking for all types of cuts, simple and difficult cuts... never going to learn anything just doing trims.

That tried to assign a 🏳️‍⚧️ to give me a massage and there’s also a lot of heifers 🐄 avoid

Highly recommend not to go to this place. The students do not know what they are doing. The student was telling in front of the client that she does not know how to do waxing. It took 21/2 hours to do underarm waxing. I went for a hair wash and blow dry. It took them 4 hours to do it. Please do not waste your time here. I am not sure what kind of students the school is going to turn after the student’s pass...

On 3/8/18 I went into the school to help my sister get some credits for washing hair. She did my niece wash first then went over to wash my moms hair. while she was gone I was sitting in one of the stylist chairs while watching my niece , waiting for my mom and sister to come back. Out of no where this man came up to me with an ugly look on his face asking WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING? I found out this man is the DEAN of the school. I told him I am waiting for my sister??? Confused on why he was asking me that ... I told him Im not a student. He fixed his face really quick and said, OH... well your dressed like everybody.. and walked away. I was so embarrassed! Everyone heard him call me out like that ... yes I may have been dressed like the students.. come on I just got out of the gym!!! That didnt give him the right to confront me or call me out like that in front of the students, the teachers including my 5 year old niece. Also he never even said he was sorry! I am so embarrassed and humiliated .. I will not be going back any time soon!! (TIPS FOR THE DEAN) Next time make sure the person you are talking to is a student not a client!!!!
