During our leisurely stroll after drinks, we stumbled upon Code Red. The quirky and trippy exterior piqued our curiosity, leading us to make a reservation after a quick Google search. Arriving just before the end of the delightful happy hour at 7 pm, we indulged in the fantastic offerings on the happy menu, both in terms of drinks and food. Our group was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the selections. Our attentive waitress, Hannah, provided exemplary service even amidst our joviality. I look forward to revisiting Code Red on my next trip to DC. The only downside was a slight incident where a bartenders comment about my excitement being recorded was overheard, “that’s so annoying” detracting from an otherwise stellar experience. A place like Code Red should embrace and welcome guests enthusiasm, which is why it falls short of a perfect rating.
It is such a cute place. Great vibe, I will say its small, so dont expect a lot of space. Everyone was very nice, had a reservation for 8:15 and was on time. It was slower when we walked in but did pick up. Music was great, good variety. Drinks were good, I wish that there were some more options but honestly good size bar. Our server Dayar was GREAT! Very attentive, good suggestions, and truly accommodating. I would say that when I go back , I will order the wings, duck fat fries, picanha steak, and the molten cake (add ice cream). The sliders were a bit on the dry side and lacking enough cheese. The lambchops werent seasoned the best, and the arancini could have been hotter when it came out.All in all, I will be back and appreciate the opportunity to celebrate a belated 21st birthday at CODE RED.
This is a really cool spot to chill solo. At least, thats what it was for my case. I was here for happy hour, the drink I ordered was the Mary Pickford and it was okay just a small portion that you get. But the sweet chili wings were better than I expected, as well as the pichana steak skewers. If you wanna check this place out, I hope you know the password to get in.
Code Red is an amazing speakeasy right in the heart of Adams Morgan. Ask for a smoked Old Fashioned - they are delicious. The crystal service is also an event in itself - a really cool presentation. I have found on these hot summer days, Cody and Carlos serve up the most refreshing Lemon Drop martini. Great place! Great staff! Great owners! All make you feel very welcomed. Check them out, along with sister establishment Roofers Union. You won’t regret it.
I celebrated my birthday at Code Red last weekend and had a fantastic time! We were a group of about 15 and I reserved their space towards the back (see photo). It was very easy to reserve - I did it in person when I was there for their Tuesday happy hour (also recommend!), but you can do it online too. You fill out a form and they get back to you to confirm the details. The service was great (as it has been on my past visits to Code Red), special thank you to Emilio!! And a shout out to Bart at the door, who just has great energy and was very friendly. I love the vibe and we all tried to blend in with some element of 1920s fashion. It was a Saturday night, at some point the jazz music turned into a live DJ which was an unexpected vibe but fun.A point to note is that they do a group bill for such a large group and can only take up to 3 cards - but you can talk to your server at the beginning for options for separate tabs if possible. Also, since everyone is seated, it can be difficult to talk or mingle with the whole group, so try to move around and switch places through the night.Overall, I had a wonderful time and am so glad I chose Code Red for my celebration. It was perfect, I highly recommend.
I’ve never had such a great and welcoming experience at a place before. We went a few months ago, and it’s been one of my favorite places by far. We went basically right after they opened at happy hour and were sat at the bar. The host was very nice and chatted with us a bit. The bartender was so professional and helpful and gave great recommendations on foods. We ate from the happy hour menu and ate chicken wings (I literally got two servings because they were that good), wagyu sliders, calamari, and grilled octopus. I loved the vibes, almost felt a bit under dressed walking in there but they make you feel so welcomed it didn’t matter. Had about 6 drinks between me and my husband and had like, 4-5 appetizers. Only spent about 95$ before tax. Was GREAT.
Had an amazing time at Code Red. The ambiance is alluring. The service is amazing. You have to knock and say the code to gain entry. Once inside you’re greeted by an old time saloon, with a modern touch. It’s a bit dark, with hints of red lighting. I went for happy hour and their drinks were great. They have food and drink specials. I got the octopus, which was pretty good and my boyfriend got the wings which were great. Nick at the door was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Cody the bartender did a great job making our drinks. Emma the hostess, was nice and perfectly smoked our drinks. Looking forward to going back.
Best bar in Adams Morgan! Great drinks and love the prohibition era atmosphere.Emma and Charlie were awesome bartenders—made and recommended great drinks and had hilarious stories to tell.We will definitely be back!
Don’t let the unsuspecting facade fool you - this place is great. Truly an unexpected pleasure. The decor and general vibe of this place is sexy and intimate. With the soft lighting, cozy seats and jazzed up renditions of modern pop songs playing in the background. I got to feel like I was really in a prohibition era speakeasy. The drinks were fun, I loved the food, and the staff was incredibly patient and kind. The owners have certainly invested in the decor and creating a wonderful overall experience that really aligns with the identity of the place. This is a perfect place to bring a couple of friends and indulge in some libations and good share plates. Their food prices may be a little high to some, but all the more reason to share with friends. If you’re worried about sticker shock then come for their Happy Hour! It’s got plenty of generous food and drink options.Overall 10/10 I would recommend.
Everything here is amazing. The food and drinks are delicious, the service is perfect. We were there for Happy Hour and it was such a a great experience. Tuesday is the best, when they have fresh Oysters on the menu. Reservations are highly encouraged, but we were able to sit at the bar to enjoy our experience.
Wow... This is one of the top 5 restaurants I have rated over the years that I have been doing this. Its definitely a place my wife and I will go back to when we visit DC.Ambiance, decor, and FOOD!! All get 5 stars! Since this was a speak easy, we immediately ordered a smoked old-fashioned (see video) and a dirty martini. Then we were told by one of the owners that Oysters were $1 on Tuesdays! What?? We ordered 2 dozen on the spot(see pics). We then went on to order the grilled octopus(see pic) and the smoked bone marrow. Also, a great presentation (see video)! I felt like my wife took me out for my birthday or something! The oysters were fresh and flavorful. The grilled Octopus was cooked to perfection, and the smoked bone marrow started off with a great presentation, but the taste was even better. My wife and I were in heaven. But we werent done yet!! We went on to order another dozen oysters and scallops with a lemon Risotto. The lemon Risotto was one of the best we have ever had, and the addition of the Scallops topped off a great entree. This place is the perfect place for a first date, date night, or even a great spot to start before you go out to a show, club, or whatever. It is HIGHLY recommended. We cant wait for our next opportunity to go back.
Fun place with delicious food! If you see it from the outside it may look closed or sketchy but it is all part of the theme! We did the restaurant week special and the portions were great, the presentation was phenomenal and the food delicious.I would highly recommend as a great night out.
It may take a moment to find (it’s a speakeasy, after all), but once you do, it’s worth it. I’ve already been there twice and have enjoyed it each time. The bartenders Charlie and Cody are super friendly and are great for which to have a conversation. It does get pricey, but there are good happy hour specials to ease the cost. It’s quickly becoming my favorite place to go for a night out after work.
Parking can be hard to find, but theres a lot across the street that is 0-1 hour for $8 I believe and anything more is max price at $24 which is steep but if thats your last resort go there. When arriving the security guard was super friendly and gave us the opportunity to knock and say the code to get in. Sorry cant tell you it here! The guy checking us in was extremely accommodating. Checked us in with our reservation (highly recommend). He made sure everything was alright along with the server. We came during happy hour 5-7pm on the week day. There are 3 cocktails and a number other drinks available during this hour (see pictures attached). A number of small plates. Everything came out fresh, fast, and most importantly delicious at a good price.Whenever happy hour ended we ordered the bone marrow and wagyu sliders of which were fantastic. I only wish the marrow dish came with more bread.Atmosphere was excellent. I have no complaints. I loved my experience here. And highly recommend you coming here for a date or just coming for drinks/food. I definitely will be back!
Code Red was a super cute date spot! We went for restaurant week and enjoyed a three course dinner. It didn’t disappoint! My favorite was their tuna tartare which came with a generous portion of seaweed and avocado. The atmosphere was Instagram ready. We took pictures in the lounge area before sitting at one of their big, red velvet booths. Our server, Emma was very attentive. The manager was also accommodating with finding us a booth for two per our request. Even the doorman was a hoot with how he played into the whole prohibition theme. Don’t forget the code word when you come!10/10 recommend
I went to Code Red during Halloween weekend and I can definitely say it was a vibey experience. I love that you genuinely feel as though you are in the Prohibition Era from the music being played down to the decor. When you arrive, you knock on the door and wait for the person at the entrance to open the door and welcome you. I loved that! The gentleman that welcomed us brought us in right away. We were seated promptly. The drinks I ordered were crafted well. I look forward to going back to Code Red to try other cocktails on the menu. This spot is definitely a nice addition to Adams Morgan.
Knock on the heavy steel door, password... RED. You enter into a different time... prohibition. FUN! Loved the theme and was an enjoyable drink and dining experience. Great place for a date night or groups. You hear Sinatra in the background but not too loud that you cant carry conversations.Their happy hour is 5p-7p tues-fri and from a price point is reasonable otherwise it would be way pricier. We ordered items from the happy hour food menu along with their regular one.We tried their cocktails on the happy hour menu: the Southside and the “kinky Thompson.” Both were good! Not included in their happy hour pricing is their crystal service, mmm smoky old-fashioned, yum!Cheese charcuterie-nice selection of cheeses.Marrow- came out smoking, literally. It was delicious.Wagyu beef sliders-3 in an order was tasty.Madagascan shrimp- 1 giant shrimp you peel. It was pricy yet tasty. I thought we might as well just try it.Truffle fries-were good, perfect to fill us up. The plates were small but flavorful. We ordered til we felt full.We would definitely return for their happy hour. Service was friendly, and helpful. We appreciated that the owner came around to check on us and gave great suggestions.
Heard about this speakeasy in Adams Morgan and decided to give it a try. This was originally Milli and Al’s which we were regulars to back in the day! As you enter through the heavy iron door, you are immediately transported to the prohibition era. The vibe is chill and loungie. Perfect for date nights, birthdays or to just grab a drink. I did feel the drinks were a little on the lighter side but were very well priced for the vibe and concept. We also ordered the truffle fries which were not seasoned well and almost on the softer side. However, they had decent food options to go with your drinks and also has an experience service that costs $20 per person and they bring the drinks cart to you and make the drinks right in front of you, I would go for it if it’s a date night or want a fun experience. Overall, a decent speakeasy to grab a drink and get transported to the 1920’s. Cheers!
A disappointing experience overall. The doorman (didn’t catch his name) was the highlight! Any business would want him as a representative. The drinks were delicious as well. However, the food was really lackluster for the price range. Frozen fries and crab cakes, overcooked sliders, and lukewarm, bland tuna tartare. Very middle of the road. The service was accommodating and the atmosphere was pretty nice. I would probably return for the happy hour, as that pricing is fair for what you get, but not again for regular service.
Awesome speakeasy, great vibe, great drinks and service! Charlie, our server, was fun, prompt, even settled a debate on the best 80s music video (Take On Me, of course). The smoked old fashioned is my go-to here, which can be presented with enough of a show that it needs a cart!I dont often make it to that section of DC, but this is a great place to catch up with friends.
This place hits it out of the park. Its a speakeasy vibe with great decor, cool drinks, much better food than Id expect at a Speakeasy, and exceptional customer service. Everyone was super attentive to our needs so it stood out. The servings size of the food seems small at first but they were the perfect portion to compliment the flavors of the drinks. Ill def be back.
I didnt get the chance to try the food. but it was a nice spot. The door guy was very accommodating to our party as it grew. He had our party moved to a different section so all of us would be comfortable and relax. Its a nice spot to hangout. The drinks were good. Heads up the code word is Red.
CODE RED hasnt quite figured out its code yetAmbitious cocktails were long on presentation but short on actual composition, and the cramped corner seating led to uneven and sometimes clumsy service (the bar cart got stuck on an speaker cord running across the floor) and last, the booming club music created a dissonant experience while trying to savor any bites or sips in what is billed as a speakeasy from the outside. The place photographs nicely, but ultimately felt better enjoyed that way; from afar, than inside where there are a competing set of attempts to create an experience.
I love a bar/speakeasy that literally teleports you to a different realm or in this case - time period!! The ambiance and decor take you back to the prohibition era.Ideally located in the Adams Morgan strip… Code Red is one of a kind!! I felt spoilt for choice with their selection of cocktails, and eventually went with the Smoked Old Fashioned - which was 👌🏾👌🏾!!Looking forward to going back again to try more of the cocktails on the menu, the food 🤤 and the cocktails prepared directly at your table!! The theatrics were awesome 🤩This is a perfect date night spot, or for grabbing drinks with friends, celebrating a birthday party… or just treating yourself to a detail oriented mixology haven!!!
Very vibey prohibition themed speakeasy! Drinks were strong and the sliders were good. They did forget about my dietary restriction (asked for no cheese on the slider) but they redeemed themselves by replacing the dish.
The service and atmosphere here was amazing. We were pleasantly surprised by their food quality. We arrived minutes before the happy hour ended to take advantage of few specials. We stayed a while for theor full menu as well. Wed definitely rate them one of the best speakeasies in the area
Love this new spot, ambiance and vibes were 10/10. Met up with some friends for happy hour and was pleasantly surprised with the drink and menu options for weekend happy hour. The craft cocktails were delicious, the staff was extremely attentive, and the gorgeous atmosphere elevated our experience. I highly recommend checking this spot out for a date night or night out!
Great place for drinks! Love the vibe. Our server Hannah was fantastic! Super helpful with explaining the cocktails and menu items. I really liked the Southside cocktail. Will be back!
Went to Code Red for the first time this weekend for a friends birthday and had a really nice time. Charlie was our server and he was a friendly and attentive the entire night. Also the espresso martinis were great. Would definitely return!
Great place and amazing food and drink. Would be even better if one bartender was most focused on serving bar patrons and less on hanging out with their friends that stopped by for a drink.
Came here for my birthday and it started out strong. Good service and food. They even have weekend happy hour. However, an hour and 15 minutes into our reservation we were asked to move from a table to the bar because a group was early. I have never experienced this before. We did it but it was uncomfortable. They had to squeeze an extra stool at the bar so it was also cramped. Once we moved to the bar, our additional drinks and food were completely forgotten and we were pretty much ignored. If I had rated just the first hour it would have been 5/5 but the whole experience was soured by the attitude of the staff and lack of consideration.
I am writing a review because our bartender was amazing and we loved our experience but I really want to gatekeep this spot. It’s so cool and the cocktails are well crafted. $1 oysters were fresh and delicious!
Dj acts like he’s at a bar mirzvah in 2012. vibes are off. service is good. drinks as well. but the vibes and music can do an upgrade or two.
We have never had anything other than exceptional service, both at Code Red and Roofers Union, their sister site a few doors down. Both the food and drinks are consistently delicious, and you can’t beat the happy hour prices.
We had a beautiful evening. The drinks were awesome. But why 3 stars?Warning: They changed us one drink more and didn’t want to change this. It was a huge discussions and obviously they were making us of us being foreigners and also exhausted after a long day.I would expect a food bar to immediately correct mistakes like that instead of starting discussions.
Wow! This location was a bit nerve-wracking at first because the building looked quite old. As we approached the door, a code was requested, and I whispered it - it felt like we were undercover agents or something! Upon entering, the ambiance was captivating. The decor was beautiful and definitely selfie-friendly. The drinks were strong, perfectly suited for the occasion. Unfortunately, we didnt dine there as we had already eaten dinner before arriving. However, both the bartenders and managers were professional. If youre seeking something different, I strongly suggest this location. Trust me, Ill be returning here soon.
My experience at Code Red was largely positive. The establishment boasts a captivating prohibition-era ambiance, complemented by a hospitable staff that enhanced the overall enjoyment. I found the beverages to be well-crafted and reflective of the establishments standards, particularly when seeking recommendations from our server. However, there were minor drawbacks concerning the culinary offerings. While the fried artichoke was satisfactory, the truffle fries left something to be desired in terms of the prominent truffle essence. Regrettably, the steak failed to meet expectations, arriving more akin to well-done rather than the medium requested. Additionally, the chimichurri accompaniment lacked the robust flavor typically associated with this condiment.Despite these culinary discrepancies, I would consider revisiting Code Red primarily for its beverage selection, which proved to be its standout feature.
Went for happy hour. staff was nice and Cody the bartender was awesome. Super interesting guy and made delish drinks. The food was so so good and great price during happy hour. Get the cheese board and tuna tartare at least!
Charlie did an awesome job with the cocktails. The service was exceptional. Tons of fun!
Atmosphere was great and Charlie was a did excellent work behind the bar. Definitely worth a visit in DC
Very chic and good energy. Bartenders are so friendly and helpful. Great food and drinks, def take advantage of happy hour!
Charlie was the best waiter who took care of us all night long with humor and drinks. Best atmosphere with fantastic music. I’ll be back on my next DC visit
The food was unsatisfactory, and the prices were steep. There was an attempt to substitute vegetables for meat, which was misleading. On a positive note, the presentation and taste of the drinks were exceptional, and the service provided by the waitstaff was excellent.
Wow! The service and drinks were incredible! Our favorite drinks were the Southside and smoked old fashioned. We were recommended to try this place by a friend and I’m so glad we were. The atmosphere and ambiance were nice for our group, music not too loud. An awesome lounge and we’ll definitely be back!!!
Awesome experience. Attentive service. The crystal table service was one of a kind. Will be back during my next visit to the DC area.
Honestly didn’t expect to like this place so much (I’m not a big speakeasy fan) but it was awesome. Shout out to the bouncer and bartenders working on Jan 10, who were all so friendly. Drinks were A+ and the oysters were delicious
What a true gem of a spot! Service, hospitality, food, and drinks were all best in class. Paul, Mark, Emilio and the rest of the staff were on point. The doorman is the friendliest in the city. Decor is definitely fitting of the prohibition era. We felt like we were VIPS from the time we walked in to the time we left. Thanks again!
This place is sick! The musics dope, the vibes are great, and they keep the party going all night long.
Just became my new favorite spot! Food is incredible, drinks are amazing, and the service is the best there is in DC. Was here for happy hour and the host made me a table because it was full! Doesn’t get better than that and their $1 oyster Tuesdays
This place is okay. I wasnt super impressed but would recommend for a speakeasy. It was big though which is nice. There was plenty of seating and tables. It was a little “easy” to get into and find to be a speakeasy. Also brighter than normal speakeasy places. Apparently they usually take reservations so it may take some time to get in but they do put you on a call back list.In usual DC fashion everything was pricey but the cocktails were good. I didn’t order food so idk how that is but they had a good menu.
Awesome hidden place, really cool inside. Knock on the door to enter and give password! Drinks are delicious.
A speakeasy in AdMo, CODE RED provided a relaxing ambiance. We went for the dollar oysters, which was delicious and affordable. We also got cocktails unique to the bar, which I was surprised by how unique and tasty they were.
Love this place..I like almost all the dishes… but the chicken wings are horrible way to much breading … revamp that wings and it’s perfect
Our Bartender - Brian, took the time to speak with us, and came up with 2 unique drinks, catered to our taste and preferences. The owner, Paul, also took the time to speak with us, and was also very welcoming. The vibe and ambiance of the bar fit very well with the theme - prohibition era style done right, with music and decor to fit the style.Accidentally stumbling upon this bar was definitely the highlight of our night, and hopefully well be able to go back again soon.
CODE RED is grown and sexy with low-key, speakeasy vibes. 🎵🎼”Fever all through the night, you’re giving me fever”🎶The service was exceptionally attentive and sociable. The drinks were well-crafted. I ordered the seared foie gras, which was every bit as buttery and sumptuous as when I first tasted it on the streets of Paris. Presentation of food and drink very nearly rose to the level of a Michelin-starred establishment in its timelessly elegant simplicity.I’ll come back for a date night or just to enjoy a few drinks in an atmosphere away the hustle-and-bustle of the city.
Awesome new spot! Fills a sorely needed niche (comfortable lounge with competent cocktails) in neighborhood. This place is the perfect bar to start a night out or to seek shelter from the madness of 18th street later on in the evening. Staff couldn’t be friendlier and they sling out fantastic drinks to boot! They have a huge couch in the back too that is perfect for large groups. Bring your friends along! There is definitely room.
Went here for my friends birthday tonight and have never felt more welcomed. The service was immaculate and hooked us up with amazing drinks!Highly recommend.
Pretty fun, campy theme bar. Havent tried the food but the cocktails are classic and reliable. Friendly bartenders that chat with you, so its a nice place to go if youre by yourself.
Cool vibes here and nice cocktails. We enjoyed the cocktail class but were really disappointed w/ the food. I would come back for drinks but not food.Very bland food. I swear they don’t even have salt and pepper here and could immediately improve just providing salt and pepper. We got the duck fat fries which were just baked potato wedges with no salt and definitely not fried in duck fat. The tuna tartare was inedible. Just Tuna with no sauce or seasoning on unripe hard avocado. Gouda arancini is not arancini. It’s not inedible but just fried cheese balls.I don’t want to cause problems for a small business but we paid good money for food you wouldn’t feed a dog.
Wanted to really love this bar, but ultimately very disappointed and ended up not going. We made reservations for Thursday evening at 8:15, but were told by the front door person that they were very busy that evening and waiting for folks to finish up. Then, we were told that although we had reservations, we would be at the end of the list since other reservations were apparently before us (but hadn’t shown up yet?) as were some other people waiting outside that didn’t have reservations. We inquired about the point of making a reservation if we were essentially going to still be put on a waitlist, and got a non-response and decided to go elsewhere on 18th.I completely understand if a place gets very busy, but do not have reservations available every 15 minutes for the next 2 hours if you are so busy you are unable to keep said reservations - go onto your reservation system and delete open reservations to account for your actual current capacity. Really disappointed because the cocktail menu looked amazing, but customer service seems to be lacking.
Went there last night with my girlfriend. Staff seemed to forget about us after we ordered. 20/30 minutes after ordering we hadn’t received any drinks. People that came after us were served before us. The waitress came to us to apologize after a while but honestly it was too late. We just left and went somewhere else. The bouncer/host was great though, seemed really concerned and offered to get the manager.
The atmosphere, ambiance, service, and food were everything I needed! The host was accommodating and the server had such an amazing spirit. I would definitely recommend.
This place is amazing over all, the food and drinks great! But if there is one thing that makes this place stand out is the bar tender. Gunchin is fantastic. One of the best bartenders I have ever seen.
Finally a great place in Adam’s Morgan with a great vibe, Just popped in to this new lounge as we live close by and will definitely be back. The manager told me they just opened few weeks ago so was glad we stumbled on it. We tried the scallop risotto and the blooming artichoke and they were both to die for. Looking forward to coming back with more of the ladies.
Absolutely fantastic date night spot - shout out to the happy hour, esp on Tuesdays with dollar oysters! Highly recommend the Al Capone cocktail and the tuna tartare
Will be making this a regular spot. Cannot speak highly enough of this place. The atmosphere was incredible and the attention to detail was immaculate. The service made us excited to come back again! Go and order the crystal service- Best old fashioned ever!
Drinks were so good! Just an overall great spot, we loved it.
Charlie was absolutely phenomenal and the service was par none! Highly recommend for groups of friends and fun!
The best cocktail experience in Adam’s Morgan for those who want a quality beverage without the frills. The FOH service is second to none. Mark, the owner works with his staff to deliver quality. Gunchin behind the bar is a master of whatever drink your pallet desires. Bojidar, as a young bar back, ensures every guest has an experience of a lifetime.I cannot speak more highly of this establishment. From the ambience, to the service, to the drinks, code red is a premier destination.
Management needs to cut the chatter between fellow employees, hate when I need a flare to get attention of bartender to get a drink and later a check.... to leave . Howdo tipped workers ignore the tippers. The smoking old fashion was really good and the decorations inside was really nice.Probably wont be back...
Great! Definitely going back. Atmosphere and food/service was excellent.
Great atmosphere. The seating was comfy and the music was appropriately loud for chatting. The cocktails were kinda pricey but tasted good.
We went for the cocktails and they were fantastic. They were all delicious and wonderfully presented by our bartender. We can’t wait to come back for the food and more cocktails.
Owners are fantastic, Gunjin is a fantastic bartender, staff is very professional. Not enough speakeasy style bars around! This is a great one.
Of your looking for a great atmosphere, quality food and excellent bartender, this is a great spot, highly recommend!! Thank you code red for a great experience while I was in town
This place was amazing. Super cool vibe and atmosphere. Staff was very friendly! Drinks were great and so was the food. I would highly recommend the Wagyu beef sliders!
I’ve been to many speakeasy in the nation from west to east coastThis speakeasy from the security to the service and ownership the quality, smokes the competition or any other speakeasy I have ever been to….. love the bartenders and the amazing Last word cocktail amazzzzzzzing!!!!!
Parking is pretty bad on the weekends but that’s the norm for the area. Service was great. food and drinks were delicious! Knock on the door to enter and remember the password 😉
Hannah was an AMAZING server! 10/10
Great atmosphere in a Prohibition Era bar. Service was excellent, and bartenders customized drinks based on your taste.
Food tasted good. For you promote steak skewers for $10 and you give me one stick with two small pieces of meat…it’s a rip off.
Love Code Red! They have such a great happy hour and their food and cocktails are always a 10/10!
Emma was awesome! Great service!
Best bar staff that Ive ever seen in DC. Everyone that works here is very knowledgeable and kind. DC needs this place, a true representation of DC and all of its people
Always a good time. Happy hour food and drinks and dollar oysters on Tuesday are a great deal!
Amazing!Great bartender too!
Our new favorite neighborhood bar! Great vibes and great cocktails and such nice staff!
Nice place, level of service is in the minus :/
Cozy place, good drinks. Dont know how they did it but the red interior theme looks nice (typically hard to pull off)
Very delicious and healthy food 😋 👌 😍
Service is out of this world! Very attentive and knowledgeable.. and excellent recommendations to boot! Real professionals who know their craft
Great food, drinks and people!
The code is red at this place. So much fun and good place to relax and enjoy food drinks and friends.
Charles was a great server
Great vibe and customer service! I didnt have the food so I cant comment. Looking forward to going back.
Fun space with wonderful tuna tartare and cocktail at good price.
Great rendition of a speakeasy. Wings were outstanding Best I ever had.
Awesome atmosphere, great service, & delicious food! I suggest the sliders
Cool place, very classy, great vibes, delicious drinks
Bartender told me I didnt tip him enough
