Amazing - and nothing short of it! Had such a great massage here and the therapist had hands of magic! It was one of the best massages I have ever had. As well, the customer service is exceptional. They definitely go above and beyond to make sure you are well taken care of. Would highly recommend Unwind Wellness to anyone and would visit again if I am ever in the area!

Really soothing, great atmosphere, great service all around. Got the 90 min lymphatic massage. I havent had one before and am not familiar with how effective (or not) that kind of treatment can be. I think it was super effective though!! Not to give TMI, but I urgently had to pee afterwards and I had gone beforehand and hadnt drank much fluid prior at all, so that was very abnormal for me. My knee gives me problems and has swelling usually, and it definitely felt better afterwards as well. Highly recommend this place overall, and this treatment.

My wife and I came on the fly. We Booked our massage a hour and half before our scheduled time. Wanted to try something different other than chain establishments such as massage envy. I like smaller chains or unique establishments. Will be coming back soon. We left feeling relaxed only thing needed after that was a glass of wine.

This was my first visit. I decided to try this spa because of the high reviews on Google. Ive tried 2 other spas in the area, and this is the only one so far that has lived up to its strong reviews. I was very pleased with the ambience; it was very quiet and serene and dimly lit. Quite a nice contrast to the bustle that is characteristic of Georgetown.Check in was very quick and the receptionist was welcoming and friendly.My masseuse applied firm pressure as I requested and really focused on my upper back which is my problem area. My one suggestion would be to finish the massage with a scalp massage. Other massages Ive had at other spas normally do this, and I find that ending with the scalp massage is a nice finisher. Overall, it was a great massage though. I will be back for another one :)The owner, Antonio, is also welcoming and quite friendly and greeted me on my way out.

So I’ve had several massages at both locations, but have had 2 massages now from Yariel - hands down one of the best masseuse I have ever seen. He has amazing skill and also great interpersonal skills. You can tell he loves what he does. Would highly recommend.

We highly recommend this place we have the best massages, and the best facial, my mum my husband, and me we always go here it’s so good everyone is so friendly polite. Every therapist is as good as everyone we have tried them all very professional very clean and really good. The receptionist is always helpful very kind and helpful. The aromatherapy scents in the room, the music and the heated sheet all aided in making the experience very relaxing. It was a great experience from the moment we checked in til the moment we checked out. We were treated so warmly and kindly. The massage was so relaxing I dozed off a couple times! It was my wife’s birthday and they even gave her a small gift. We really enjoyed the whole experience.

This is probably the nicest place for a massage I’ve been to. Really friendly staff. Had the Swedish massage. They really get into the massage-when she got on the table & began to work my muscles, I was like “oh, this how we doing it? Alright”. I would recommend this place for a massage. Also, I really like the bathroom, really tastefully done.

I had a great Aromatherapy Deep Tissue 90min session with massage therapist Snyder. After this massage, I feel very well relaxed especially the pain and stiffness I had around my lower back and calf muscle is magically gone. I will be going back soon.

I’ve been a patron of the Georgetown location since Fall 2023, and Unwind Wellness never disappoints. From the calming atmosphere to the attentiveness of the managers, I always leave an appointment at this location feeling rejuvenated and prioritized. Depending on their availability, I always try to book with Pam or Aika.I was super impressed by the thoughtfulness of the management team to bestow Valentine Day tokens of appreciation to patrons. Unwind Wellness is the only place in DC I trust to go for a therapeutic massage.

Talk about Restoration!! Ken is an amazing masseuse, he’s super firm with soft hands and it creates the perfect balance. Imagine the strength of a giant with the care of your sweet young grandpa. Very nurturing, intricate and gentle. I felt LOVED. 10/10.

Kin and Flor gave us an amazing couples massage today. It was the first proper massage ever for both of us, but I grew up working in the spa/salon industry and know what hard work goes into making the experience great. What a dream! My sister gave me a gift certificate for a massage for my birthday, and today I finally used it. This was the perfect start to my Saturday in Georgetown!They were fantastic with accommodating me even after I had changed my appointment...three times, embarrassingly enough. I originally booked online for 10:15, then my sister changed it to 10:00 so we could have ours done at the same time, then the day-of I was running late, but thankfully they were able to give me the 10:15 spot again. I really appreciated their flexibility and I didnt get any sort of sneer or comment when I walked in, frazzled and feeling guilty.I had Jewel, and she did a fantastic job! Not to sound rude, but I like it when, in a setting like this, there isnt too much small talk, especially during the session. She was very polite, quickly explained the areas she would focus on, and then left to let me undress so we could get started.Im a little surprised with how sore I am, especially since it was immediately after the massage. I was a bit concerned, but after a quick Google search I learned that soreness after a deep tissue massage is normal. I didnt select deep tissue massage when I booked, but nonetheless it felt great and I feel like so much tension has been released in my back and shoulders!Whether you just want to treat yourself or youre seeking a spa day for a special occasion, check out Unwind!

Unbelievable massage, even better customer service. After my first experience I couldn’t wait to come back. The environment is clean; relaxing, and you are greeted warmly with waters and mints. The massage therapists are impeccable and really listen to your needs and are very perceptive. I actually once booked the Adam’s Morgan location by accident, and showed up to the Georgetown. The owner Antonio was so kind and ordered a car to take me to the other location. He told me not to rush or stress and it was no problem at all. I’ll never go anywhere else!

When I was pregnant we were looking for a place that did prenatal massages, didnt have a really long wait list, and allowed us to book a couples massage for two different types of services. When I found Unwind Wellness, I was able to book a massage within a week and the scheduling system was so easy. Normally you need to call a place to book a couples massage, but Unwind makes it so simple. We went back two more times and have enjoyed each visit. Cant wait to go back this weekend!

What a great experience! I got a gift card to Unwind for my birthday and had the most relaxing time. I called to schedule rather than scheduling online and spoke to a very friendly person over the phone.The person who checked me in was just as friendly on the day of my massage. The reception area is gorgeous with a huge antique-looking mirror and polished stone desk. They had decorations up for pride month, which I appreciated very much.Once my masseuse, Jayda, came to get me, the experience truly began. She was soft spoken and kind, but could apply a lot of pressure on my muscles, which I especially liked. She was very thorough and even gave me a scalp massage. After completing the massage, she used warm towels to wipe off excess oils, which felt so soothing.Im happy I got a gift card here and could find this gem!

From the moment I stepped inside I wasnt sure if I was in DC or Bali. oasis. Words cannot capture the magical ambiance and the exceptional massage that I experienced at this heavenly retreat.I was greeted by a team of friendly and attentive staff. The atmosphere was tranquil with soothing music and delicate fragrances permeating the air.The massage therapist was soothing melting with every touch. We had an amazing experience here today - throwing a “sprinkle” for my friend. A group of 5 of us. 4 massages and 1 facial. The quality of the services was very high and I will definitely be coming back. Not a ton of frills at this place but you also don’t have to pay $$$$$$ for a service - I would much rather have better service than four seasons amenities (which usually has terrible massage therapists). The owner was very sweet and treated us all to amazing cupcakes and champagne for the baby celebration. Very clean and quiet in the room during the service. Very convenient parking right next door basically at the colonial parking garage. Check this place out for a great massage!

Unwind is hands down my favorite spa in DC. Have been to their Adams Morgan location too and both locations are amazing, just what you would want out of a spa experience. Def recommend their massages and brightening facial.

I have been to Unwind Wellness Spa several times and have experienced nothing but above and beyond service! Today I visited as a part of my best friends bachelorette weekend, my masseuse (sorry don’t remember her name) and Antonio (the owner) made sure that the bride had the most special experience (champagne, treats, a sash and crown)! Such a wonderful experience!! We will definitely be back again. If you’re looking for a good self-care outing whether solo or with friends this is the place!! Highly recommend!!

Booked a couples massage as a first time visit. Easy process online, great responsiveness in chatting with staff prior to the visit (was initially try to arrange another service but didnt have a lot of notice, so no worries there).For anyone who has never visited, the waiting area is lovely but there is no lounge area (This is something I associated with larger spas - where there is a changing room with lockers, showers, robes, a room to sit with tea/water to relax prior to a servce). Not a big deal just something to note if you wanted to arrive early and expected that kind of facility.One thing that surprised me is that both of us were first time visitors and there was no intake questionnaire. This is something I typically encounter as a first time visitor at any facility so you can specify preferences, injuries, concerns, etc.Things that would have made it 5* for me were - more communication from the therapist.- Asking about pressure preferences up front (they did ask when they heard the other therapist ask so maybe they just forgot).- Asking about the temperature of the table.- More consistent technique on both sides, a few times it felt like they forgot to do the same sort of treatment on either side.- Slower more deliberate pressure on problem areas. I wished several times for more pointed pressure- Better support for feet/legs on the table. It was just a pillow rather than a firmer bolster so it didnt offer the most supported/comfortable body positioning.- A weighted eye mask rather than just a towle when you turn over to your back. It stays on better and doesnt move around during treatment.Things I loved:- Rooms are really nice. Quiet. The music/ambiance is nice. I love the heated tables. The massage overall was very good and I would definitely go back.- Great pressure, good technique. Focused on the areas I asked for help on. I always appreciate the use of hot towels to remove excess oil.Again, every one has their preferences. And I will definitely visit again.

We LOVE Unwind. My husband and I love couples massages as a date night activity. So we have visited quite a few massage businesses in the area. Unwind is by far our favorite. They have the best customer service and always give us an amazing experience. After a little miscommunication for our fathers day couples massage, the owner, Tony, called and made sure to rectify the situation fast. My husband is a muscular guy and gets Sports Massages. Power at Georgetown is now his go-to guy. I️ love the CBD massages. Every massage therapist has been amazing and well trained. We will be using Unwind as long as we live in DC.

I absolutely love Unwind Wellness Spa! Antonio, the owner, is the most incredible human being. My best friends coordinated with Antonio to plan my Bachelorette Spa Day. It was amazing!!! After the best deep tissue massage and rejuvenating sugar scrub, I was ready to conquer the day. Antonio then gave me the best send off with champagne, chocolate, a sash, a crown and even recommended a lovely restaurant for lunch. I will definitely return back soon.

Absolutely incredible experience. Three of us friends booked evening massages and all had wonderful, attentive service. The massages were incredible and so needed. The establishment is beautiful - so clean, comfortable, classy and cozy. But let me tell you the best part: meeting the owner, Antonio. After we all finished our massages I asked the front desk folks if they had a restaurant recommendations for dinner (for a Saturday night in Georgetown) and out of nowhere comes this glorious man named Antonio, the spa owner.He offers us water, suggests a restaurant and then INSISTS on personally escorting us to dinner. This incredible human walks us 3 blocks away from the spa to THE BUSIEST Italian restaurant in Georgetown (literally a line wrapped around the block), he walks us in past the line, introduces us to the host, gets us a table and BUYS US A ROUND OF DRINKS!We then dined on the most fantastic Italian food we’ve had in DC, and this was the cherry on top of a fantastic day. THANK YOU, Antonio! Your hospitality and generosity is beyond appreciated and we are lifelong customers and will be back!

This was my 1st time at this facility, but NOT my 1st massage. However, I have been trying for YEARS to get my husband to get a massage. So this was his very 1st time. I REALLY wanted his 1st time to be special and enjoyable. It was. Now he’s looking forward to his next one and massages are added to the other things that we do together to relax and enjoy. I’m also impressed by the easy customer friendly way in which a billing error was handled. The staff was friendly, courteous and professional. Over the years, I’ve gone to different spots for massages. I like this places so much, that it is going to be ‘my spot’ going forward. The ambiance is awesome!!!!

I had a great hot stone massage with aromatherapy at Unwind. The masseuse used the perfect amount of pressure and really relieved some tension in my shoulders and neck. I would recommend Unwind to anyone looking for a great massage therapy center in DC. I will definitely be back!

I recently attended a bachelorette party that included a stop here. It was a 5/5 experience. The spas team did a great job of accommodating our party of seven, provided each of us an excellent massage tailored to our individual preferences, and then surprised us after the massages with flowers and mini bottles of champagne. They were attentive and went out of their way to be helpful, e.g. taking group pictures for us.Our event package also included a round of drinks and appetizers at a nearby restaurant, which we enjoyed.

I had been going to the Georgetown location for over 18 months, on a regular basis, when one day, I had a very bad experience with one of their therapist. Not only the technique was extremely imprudent (I thought they would end up hurting me), the attitude was really intimidating. I had never experienced something like this. As I said; I was a regular client at this center and I had different therapists over time. I interrupted the session because the therapist was hurting me. Later, the owner called me and apologized for the experience, something that was not at all in line with the centers customer service standards. The owner told me they would fire the therapist (something I did not ask for) and told me they would recommend me another one, and that they would cover for this massage. Despite my follow up, nothing ever happened and the therapist remains employed at the Georgetown location.I am writing this review because, to me, the enterprises response to a valid a measured complain by a loyal customer was extremely telling; they dont care.

I’ve visited the Georgetown location several times for their massages and facials and I’m always in awe. The aesthetics are beautiful and a plus to having a relaxing spa day.My favorite service is adding reflexology to my massage and the brightening facial.

The owner reached out to me personally and worked with his team to make things right. You cant beat that kind of attention to detail and customer service. This was the BEST massage experience I have ever had. This was my sisters first prenatal massage and the entire team made her feel EXTREMELY comfortable. I did a Swedish massage and wish I extended my time longer than 60 minutes because they were so fantastic. Before we left, we had a chance to speak to Antonio and he was so sweet! Treated my sister and me to some goodies because we were celebrating my sisters birthday and pregnancy. We will be back here 100%!

I had such a wonderful prenatal massage with Cassandra. She made sure I was comfortable the entire time and was very attentive to the pregnancy aspect of the massage. We went as a bachelorette group and Antonio the owner made us feel so special and had a surprise for us all at the end of the massage. He escorted us to Canale, the Italian restaurant next door, and treated us to a drink and an app. It was such a fun and memorable experience, I would highly recommend booking your next massage with them!

My three friends and I celebrated a birthday yesterday at Unwind and it was the best experience I have ever had. The location is phenominal right next to baked and wired where you can grab a latte and sweet treat pre or post massage. The staff at Unwind helped us coordinate the birthday celebration and we ended up doing 2 couples massages. The rooms were beautiful with intricate details everywhere! I had ken as my therapist and it was one of the best massages I have ever had. I am an ICU nurse and I havent felt this great post massage in a long time. Then after the massage they surprised us with wine and cupcakes! I will absolutely be back! A special thank you to Kao for being the best!

Brightening facial— best facial I’ve had so far! I wanted to get a facial before my graduation and I was not disappointed, my face was glowing after. My favorite part was that I got a back massage while the face mask was drying (other spas normally just leave you in the room alone for 10mins as the mask dries but here they give you a massage so it’s like a 2 in 1 for a good price). Overall a must try at Unwind Wellness!

Unwind Georgetown was absolutely wonderful. There is a vast variety of services offered, and the staff providing them is very friendly and accommodating. The owner himself went above and beyond to make my friend’s and my first visit, on her birthday, so special. An additional bonus is that Unwind is stunning; makes for a lovely experience all around.

So glad i found this hidden gem. i got a mini facial and a 90 min stone message and when i say the best experience ive ever had. the highlight was the message. i went to Pam. i can in so tense knots everywhere.. i had absolute none by the time i left. i got stretch and a head message never had those two ever been included in any message ive gotten in my 28 years of living. to top it off she finished by rubbing me down with cbd oil in the area i was most tense. 10/10 im never going anywhere else.

Still one of my favorite places to get a massage!I’ve been here a few times and haven’t been disappointed. I recently visited on a Friday morning for a massage and to kickoff my bday weekend and I couldn’t have thought of a better way to do so!We had a couples aroma therapy massage and it was all that I needed. 90min flew by very quickly and I wish o could have done 120min lol. The essential oils are placed just in front of your face as you lay on your stomach which set the mood for me. However, after inhaling the oils for a moment, my partner & I became a bit stuffy. I thought maybe it was just me, but after my partner confirmed she was feeling stuffy as well, we noticed that it may have been the oils affecting us. I’ve had massages before without aromatherapy, and wanted to try this. I would stick to regular massages, but I don’t regret trying this one bit. I was still relaxed and plan to come back again.The parlor took note that this was how we decided to kick off our celebrations and they went above and beyond to make sure we felt appreciated and good vibes were in the air. They have def set a standard for my expectations.You can’t go wrong here. The people are friendly, management attentive, and thoughtful.Hope everyone can have a lovely experience like we did.

Unwind is my happy place. I love this place. You can smell the calmness from just outside the door. Yes smell! Just as you open the door you are greeted with the faintly pleasant smell of the relaxing essential oils they have coming from the diffuser. You are greeted by helpful and professional staff member at the front desk that prepare you for your appointment. The inside is gorgeous!As you wait for you appointment, you are sat on the beautiful and comfy couches, to take in all the calming ambiance. The place has the softest warm lighting from the gorgeous chandeliers, to compliment all the calming creamy tones of the various furniture and decor. It has such a relaxing opulence about it, that makes you feel as though you are truly getting in your “me time” the we all need. The bathrooms are also gorgeous and always very, very clean.This place also makes for a really good gift. I’ve purchased gift certificates for a massage for friends to as as a bridal and baby shower gifts, birthdays or just give to a friend who could use some relaxation and self care. When my BFF’s fly into I always book a girls day appointment for a day at the spa here!Now down to the actual massage. The therapists here are so very good at what they do and are very professional. They always ask where you are carrying stress at, and do a really good job of addressing the area. At a minimum I come twice a month. The massage and overall experience I have here is so amazing that on my most stressful of days, I often just call and take whatever therapist that is available and I have always had a very comfortable and relaxing experience. I always come out feeling like a new woman. After my massage I am always asked if I would like any water, which I appreciate.This place is an integral part of my self care routine. I always leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated and calmly recharged. It’s really worth it to take time out of the chaotic and busy lives most of us live now a days, to just Unwind.

We had a couples massage that was the epitomy of relaxation. I recommend springing for the aromatherapy component, as it truly rounds out a holistic environment that will lull you into a sense of security. Great spot to relax in Georgetown. Located next to Baked and Wired, with how crowded this shop is, we almost walked right past the spa. However, unwind was peaceful, beautifully decorated with chocolates, water, and tea offered when you walk in. We opted for a couples massage since it was our anniversary weekend. Staff was very professional. My massage was exactly what I wanted. Armand was courteous and gave me one of the best massages ever. It was my fiances first professional massage. He enjoyed every minute and wants to go back as soon as possible! Prices were comparable to a normal upper end spa. Was a great start to our anniversary weekend! Would definitely go back!

Unwind Wellness is the definition of “treat yourself.” I have been coming to the Adams Morgan location (which is also phenomenal) since I moved to DC in 2020 and the professionalism and attention to detail is superb to say the list. The owner is a complete sweetheart and all the massage therapist are SO good that I don’t even make a specific selection — all have done wonders on my body. If you visit DC or are a local, the Unwind Wellness experience is REQUIRED.

I’ve been coming to Unwind for about a year now, and I have been met with nothing but kindness and professionalism by the staff. Minerva is so kind and has taught me so much about maintaining the health of my skin. I’d highly, highly recommend the cleanse facial and the add on face peel. After several visits my acne scaring and blemishes have significantly diminished.

My experience at the Georgetown location was disappointing. I booked a couples massage at this location since its much closer to Arlington. I liked the atmosphere and ambiance but the massage was very underwhelming. My boyfriend felt the same way about his. I told my therapist I would like medium pressure for my massage, but it felt like she was just rubbing oil on me for 80 (out of the 90) minutes. There were only a few instances where it felt like I was getting a real massage. I had a much better experience at the Adams Morgan location and probably wont be back after this experience.

I booked a relaxing birthday party with a few friends at Unwind. The whole experience was amazing. The booking was very straightforward and streamlined. Once we arrived, the salon was beautiful and perfectly located in Georgetown next to Baked & Wired. They staff was very nice and the therapist were amazing. Five women came in for massages and all five left very satisfied and happy to return. The owner is so sweet and provides amazing customer service as well. I completely recommend Unwind for everyone.

My husband and I visited Unwind Wellness Center for a couples massage to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary while in D.C. on vacation. It was the best experience weve had at a Spa thus far in our marriage! We were treated with fantastic customer service, were surprised with Champagne, and had AMAZING massages!!! After our massage they let us hang out in the steam room for a little while! The staff was out of this world helpful! They took 100% care of us from scheduling our service through after checkout when they sent us off for the rest of our day with water bottles and chocolates!! We were also totally impressed with the whole atmosphere of the place! It seriously felt like we were walking into Marie Antoinnettes Estate - so Victorian and gorgeous!! We will definitely return there if ever back in D.C!!

I just had the best facial ever, not only was the service and aesthetician amazing but the entire experience was like going into a relaxing state. I have experienced massages from many parts of the world—Tokyo, Rome, Naples, Luxembourg, Parì, and our very own DMV area. HOWEVER, none of those massages compared to what I experienced with Unwind. The name holds true from the time you walk through the double doors to being greeted by wonderful (and warm) staff. My masseuse had hands that put all the tension and stress to rest. DOUBLE AMAZING is all I can say. They know how to treat customers with respect, dignity, and even more so provide an experience that will I never cheat myself from. I love how spacious the rooms are, the tables are perfectly heated, and the music is very complementary to relaxing after a long week. Not many spas know what they’re doing but Unwind in Georgetown certainly does. Period.

I have definitely unwound a little thanks to the refreshing massage I received at Unwind. I was looking for a place nearby to get a quick massage and I found a diamond. If it werent for COVID conditions in Georgetown, it is unlikely I would have been able to get an appointment so quickly. The environment is clean and hygenic. The interior design and decoration are superb, and the music was so unobtrusive that I did not even realize it was there until my massage was over. My therapist, Daniel was amazing and applied the desired amount of pressure. The receptionist/hostess, Ingrid, greeted me with my name as soon as I walked into the door. I have been a consumer of massages for years across several metropolitan cities and Unwind Georgetown is clearly deserving of its high rating.

What a hidden gem! The space is gorgeous and exactly what I wanted for a spa. The massage was lovely - my mom was blown away by hers. Staff was all very nice even when we were running a little behind and a bit hectic at first. They got us calmed down and relaxed in no time. Will be back!!

My sister-in-law gifted me a massage at Unwind for my birthday while I was in DC, and my experience was out-of-this-world! The space is a retreat on a busy retail street (think lines out doors for hipster cupcakes and cute shops and boutiques interspersed with business office buildings). The interior is quiet, calm, and luxurious. I was offered tea and water upon check-in, and got to relax in their waiting area which was pleasant and warm-feeling. My massage therapist was incredible - I wish Id written down her name - but her routine included some gentle mobility stretches as well as wonderful deep tissue massage that really helped with a shoulder injury Ive been recovering from. I really feel this team goes above and beyond for their clients without being ostentatious; they make you really feel at home, safe, and comfortable. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

I am not even sure where to start, how amazing this place is!I was planning a surprise 40th birthday for my friend/love from Brazil. I was planning spa treatment for all my friends and some celebration after. I was late planning this event and it turned out to be the best event ever. It felt like The Universe was on our side! I called few places but all booked for the weekend. I sent many emails to different places but no response. Finally I get a response from Unwind about hosting the celebration. Without waiting for another second, I called Kao at the reception and explained my situation. I had mentioned that my Friend is from Brazil and interestingly, I was told she and the owner are also Brazilian. I just had this instant moment of joy that its going to work out. There was no timing available on Saturday but she somehow managed to work this out on Friday evening. We all arrive on Friday evening at 6. My friends had no idea what was happening including the birthday boy. Birthday boy went for massage and facial. Rest of us had one of the most wonderful massage treatments (adding hot body towel at the end was Crème de la crème, we wished it was longer!! Best part of this event was meeting the Owner Antonio, who had made this event just magnificent. I wish I had words to express my gratitude for his hospitality and how far he had gone to make this event so special for my friend. My friend apparently was complaining about his 40th birthday not having good Brazilian cake! Antonio drove 60 minutes each way to get this Brazilain cake and appetizers. My friend could not ask for more!!. I dont have to say more about this place. All the staff from the fornt desk, mssage therapists and finally Antonio are doing an amazing job to provide services at this great location. My friends and I are already planning to have longer spa treatment next time we are in DC!!!

Francise was awesome... so gentle and attentive! Her technique was not was I was looking for, nor what I am used to but I left feeling very relaxed, light, and stretched out.

I walked in without an appointment for a deep tissue massage. They had great customer service at the front desk, they were very friendly and helpful. I was able to schedule a massage immediately. They provided hot tea and chocolates. The facility is beautiful and very clean. I had a great massage and felt very relaxed. After the massage I was treated to water and chocolate. They made the entire process very easy and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend for a great experience and an amazing massage.

Unwind hosted my cousins bachelorette spa event. Antonio went above and beyond to make the event special for the bride to be. He and his lovely team prepared a table full of hors doeuvres and had champagne ready upon request. All of the women in attendance thoroughly enjoyed the services that they received. At the end of the event Antonio presented the bride to be with a bouquet of roses and tulips, he also gave all women in attendance cup cakes and champagne to go! I highly recommend that you host your next spa event with Antonio and the Unwind Wellness Center or at the very least book a wellness treatment of you choosing

Without a doubt the worst massage I’ve ever gotten in my 36 years of life. I left feeling disgusted and completely stressed out because he didn’t know what he was doing. It’s pretty unfortunate considering the price. I wouldn’t go back for a massage if someone paid me. The front desk girl didn’t seem to care either, haha

Everything but the massage was fine - clean, calm setting, friendly staff, relaxing ambiance. The massage was pretty bad. My therapist basically did the same few movements over and over. Quickly and repetitively for 90 minutes. And when encountering my many knots, he didnt slow down or change his approach, he just kept right along which left the rock hard knots in my back if not made them worse. He clearly lacked knowledge of muscle groups, anatomy and physiology. Plus the table squeaked. I left no more relaxed, flexible or pain free than when I walked in.

The massage started nice, but then halfway in the massage, they kept knocking on our door. They started arguing with my massage therapist. They made me move rooms in the middle of my massage. Gave me a robe and had me move to the room next to my room in my robe. Totally ruin the whole experience. When I got out of my massage there were plenty of rooms open with double beds that they could of used or just let us finish since we had 20 mins left. They just gave me 5 extra mins and still charge me the full price. Barley apologized. Never going back. Worst experience.

There is nothing like escaping the stress of city life in a cozy corner of Georgetown. Ive been to a lot of massage parlors where you have either good service or a nice atmosphere and almost never both. Unwind uniquely aces both of these areas. There is a cozy waiting area with teas and mood lighting in the rooms. The masseuse I had was both attentive and responsive to feedback I gave during the massage. Overall an incredibly relaxing experience, with the only addition I would make is incense ;)

The spa is gorgeous and welcoming, and more affordable than other local spas. They have some lovely special touches like crystal glasses, champagne, chocolate, and bottled water as you leave. Easy to book online; warm customer service; relaxing massage; I even had to reschedule my first appointment and did it all by email. I left feeling great after the massage. The website is cheating you between the two locations and sending one to the other... There is no lymphatic drainage at the Adams Morgan location, the website is lying. When you call for appointment, they only have an answering machine. The booking on line is not functional. And finally after insisting and calling 12 times, I was told there is no opening, nor the massage I wanted. Good for them.My business will go somewhere else. At $195 one session, for a minimum of 10 sessions, too bad for them. So POOR communication services ! DONt go there (I found another lovely place, much cheaper, they will get my money)

I came here for my birthday and was spoiled by my girlfriend who doesn’t really enjoy massages. The staff was sooo nice and the massage was perfect. I wish I booked more time. I did misplace my 12 year old ring, but I was able to come back and the staff found it for me! One small recommendation is to have somewhere for guests to hang their clothes. Otherwise, everything else was perfect. Thank you for my cupcake and bottle of Prosecco!!

I love going to Unwind Wellness. I train really hard as a D1 athlete and make a massage from unwind a NECESSARY part of my recover every couple of weeks. I always leave feeling relaxed and ready to dive back into training. The staff is friendly and professional and the interior is very glamorous! Would recommend to anyone!

Went back in November 2021, with my mother.The massage was adequate, but nothing exceptional, especially for the price point (note: this is the standard price I pay for massages, and I expect a certain quality, which I usually receive).My masseuse ignored my instructions – he had asked me if any area felt particularly stiff or painful, and I had mentioned my neck and shoulder area. He didn’t spend any more time on that compared to the rest of my body, and didn’t adjust his technique to deal with accumulated tension or pain.I also had to ask for slippers – the expectation was clearly that we would take our shoes and socks off and step directly onto the rug and floor, neither of which inspired confidence (c’mon, people, have you seen a floor under a microscope?! I’m not going to carry all those germs back into my shows). When I asked, we were told slippers could be provided, and they were, but this should be standard, and has been for all other massage parlors/spas I’ve visited. If you’re trying to cut costs, just tell me in advance, and I’ll bring my own.Also: the mask issue. This was still at the height of the pandemic, and I was very particular about only wearing N95 or K95 masks (which was later proven correct by official guidance). We were not advised beforehand that these would not fit into the headrests at the end of the message beds, and we were required to take them off and wait for simple, surgical-type masks – the only kind they provide. I was not comfortable with the level of protection these masks offered, especially since the staff wasn’t wearing N95-KN95 masks. This should be clearly communicated ahead of time, and customers should be allowed to make the choice about what risks they want to take on.Receptionist did not care about us once we had exited the massage room. I had wanted to ask a question, but was left awkwardly waiting by her desk while she chatted on the phone – you don’t know how to briefly put a conversation on hold to deal with a paying customer who is physically present at the time? I gave up, and just said “thank you, have a nice day”. There was no response, not even a gesture, like a nod, anything, and no opportunity to offer immediate feedback. Nobody asked us how our experience had been. It was like “thanks for paying, bye-bye”.I won’t be back. There are better options in the DC area, especially for this price point.

All in all a very unimpressive experience. The massage therapist kept the room too cold and in spite of my shivering, didnt ask if I needed another blanket, offer to turn the table heater on (assuming they are equipped with them) or warm the room. The over all quality of the massage was okay, but not great. It lacked enthusiasm and attention to detail/personalization. There was no attempt made to find out if there were any problem areas to focus on or avoid. When the scalp massage portion began the massage therapist removed all the product from my hair with a towel. This was done without asking. At one point it felt like the massage therapist leapt into air and landed on the small of my back with her elbow. Lastly, the massage therapist didnt introduce herself until the service was complete.

My husband and I had such a great experience during our couples massage. The staff was very kind and attentive; the deep tissue massages were better than any we have had. The atmosphere is relaxing, calming, and we would absolutely recommend visiting.

This was the first message I have had ($5 tourist beach messages excluded) and I was blown away. We did a couples message package with David Liang and Calixto, both of whom were friendly and excellent at their jobs. They asked if we had any problem areas they should focus on and I chose my lower back, since I have some fairly major pain that impacts my walking ability. I have had a noticeable decrease in said pain since our appointment and I completely attribute that to the amazing message. Next time we will have to get the 90-minute instead of opting for the 60-minute session!

I was expecting some tea after a massage as you get in other good SPA places but I think they dony this. Also I hope covid is gone soon so we dont have to wear masks while taking a massage. Will definitely come back.

This was the perfect birthday experience. I seldom leave reviews for places but my experience was so great on all fronts that I had to this time. I can’t recommend enough.

First and foremost, the atmosphere of the spa is so soothing and calming. The moment you step in, is like you step into a safe space. The receptionist was very polite and helpful. For my 24th birthday, I decided to treat myself to an hour Swedish massage and a mini facial. It being my first time going to a spa and also being a plus size women, I initially felt very subconscious and slightly uncomfortable. My massage was done by Jewel Harris and lord she’s a God sent. She made the process very comfortable and take her time in specific areas noted (very tense on my shower and upper back). My mini facial was conducted by Karinah Ayon and she also did a marvelous job. I would highly recommend this spa.

I really dont want to give away the secret but this place is amazing. I had an amazing massage and there are lots of add-ons if thats your scene, including hot stones, different styles, aromatherapy, CBD. Comfortable, large, and quiet rooms with pleasant temperatures and music.

Massage studios are not easy to find - let alone in the city for great masseuses and quality. This ambiance isn’t all hype - it’s just right for the service and professionalism that is given. The only issue would be parking and Thomas Jefferson street is always backed up. Just in case if you aren’t aware plan an extra 10 minutes maybe 15 to look for parking!

I recently had an appointment at the Georgetown location for a Friday evening deep tissue massage. After a long work week this was my ideal Friday evening! Your stress starts to melt away the moment you step out of the cold and into the cozy relaxation of Unwind.The atmosphere is soothing which is exactly what you want when trying to take sometime to yourself away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I was greeted and offered water or tea while waiting for my masseuse. David worked with me and I cant sing his praises enough! I normally address the areas I carry my stress/tension Id like to focus more time on but after a stressful week and finally getting over a bit of a cold I was in the mood to enjoy every aspect of a full body massage. David was very in tune because without mention of these areas he quickly picked up on them. He spent a little extra time on my neck and shoulder and it was the perfect amount. I appreciated Davids attention to detail. Down to, before flipping over on the table he dimmed the lights a bit more so that the, already soothing, ambient lighting didnt seem too much from the contrast of having just had your face covered and completely dark. He then laid a little something over my eyes as to block out what little light could potentially bother you. I couldnt thank him enough at the end as I felt very relaxed and my muscles at ease.I look forward to visiting again in the New Year. Hopefully on another chilly night and possibly on a Sunday evening to set intentions for the new week. Thank you David and the staff at Unwind Georgetown!

After week after week of sitting at my computer working, the entire left side of body--from the neck down to my hips--had become painful when I moved. I booked 1.5 hour with Marco at Unwind and he was outstanding! within 24 hours I was able to move my arms, back, and neck without any pain! They practice COVID safety measures and I highly recommend Marco, although Im sure their other team members are great as well.

This was my time getting spa services at this location and it was fabulous🥰 The atmosphere was so inviting & peaceful. My massage with Pam was EVERYTHING! Very customer friendly & the owner wasso welcoming and kind. I will be back!

Excellent massage with Calixto & really well thought-out safety precautions. I got my temperature checked when I walked in. My therapist wore a facemask and a faceshield. There was a huge (though quiet) air purifier in the treatment room.

The atmosphere and decor at Unwind were spot on. However, the massages we got were just okay. We went for a couples’ side-by-side massage. I specifically asked my therapist to work on my hips both on the intake paperwork and in-person before we started the massage. He seemed to be skipping my hips so I asked again to work on my hips. He worked on my IT band instead. Again I asked for my hips and specified that I needed work on my glute medius and and glute minimus. He worked on the IT band again. He never touched any of my glutes or hips. It was like the buttocks and hips were off-limits for him, which has never happened to me at any other massage. He never told me why he wasn’t working the body part requested and made it sound like he agreed to work on my hips each time.So I left with the same body part sore and tight as when I arrived at the massage, which is really frustrating. Meanwhile, my wife said that she felt like her massage therapist was afraid to touch her.

The staff were really friendly and attentive. The establishment was clean and very welcoming.. One of the services I received was the detox body wrap,, I almost fell asleep it was amazing.. I would definitely try their services again.
