A must to visit in West Hollywood for a drink or food . We went last Tuesday night for tacos and Margaritas. Love the outdoor area with heatlamps. Tacos $4 50 each on Tuesdays and they were very good, not amazing but a 4. Service was a little slow to start but the doorman helped us to a table and with menus. Our server was extremely busy but so nice and drinks and food reasonably quick. Recommend.
We were here last night based on a recommendation. Even though we went there without knowing that it was a gay bar, there were more women than men and everyone was respectful. You can make good friends, but when I went to my car, the security guards tried hard not to pick me up. I dont understand you. Even the fact that my jacket was inside didnt convince them. Jacket was stolen but overall nice environment. Do not take too many items with you and be sure to have a zippered security pocket. 😅 The music is high quality and the dancers are very talented.
I tried to hit the Abbey when I go out to LA. Its a good meeting point. I love the chapel and the vibe that can happen. However, this time some of the bartenders were very rude. I asked for a Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand and he said I dont know where its from. I dont think we have New Zealand then he gave me a menu and I had Kim Crawford, which is obviously from New Zealand. You would think they would know what the hell theyre serving. I know they have a lot of issues but Ive met some people so Ill keep going back but I think they definitely need a better vibe with some of their workers.
Went here for the nightlife scene and boy it didn’t disappoint. The vibe, the people, the service were so fun! Everyone was super respectful and music was top notch. I was 19 weeks pregnant for a farewell party for a friend, and it was always easy to get water at the bar and accessible to toilet. We ended up finding a table top for me to sit down and rest my legs whenever needed. Love the indoor outdoor vibe and highly recommended.
Venerable bar & restaurant in WeHo with go-go dancers. Came here during Pride Weekend and it was a 2 hour wait (arrived ~10pm). Limited metered street parking is available but read the signs! I’d suggest coming here earlier rather than later to avoid a long wait, as even pre-covid there was usually a long line. Social distancing wasn’t enforced and masks were required when you were walking in (not sure how things might’ve changed with California’s reopening). The workers all wore masks, though the bouncer that night did have a lengthy discussion about why he didn’t have the vaccine with my friend and another group. Credit cards are accepted. Bathrooms are available by the back bar. When I went, the Abbey was functioning primarily as a restaurant so it wasn’t as crowded and the go-go dancers were separated from patrons. If you get food, the nachos were large and I liked the melted cheese. The fries are thicker cut and come with ranch and ketchup. The chicken (we kept calling it popcorn chicken but I’m not sure what it was) was also generously portioned and had BBQ, ranch, and thousand island sauces on the side.
My friend’s phone was stolen and Find my iPhone said it was behind the far left bar. The bartenders said they didn’t have it. “Check the bakery” is what they will tell you, but as soon as you ask the bakery, they immediately say “no” without checking or asking other employees working the bakery. There were a few other girls looking for their phones which had also been stolen. All, including myself, were talking to and asking security to help. Security offered no real help. One of the security guys heard me say that my phone was stolen and I told him “up there,” so he immediately followed me. Then when I pointed behind the bar, he essentially began to ignore me. Another girl who was looking for her phone told me that hers had also been located behind the far left bar, had since been turned off, and the bartender told her they didn’t have it. I understand that there is only so much that security/employees can do when someone reports a stolen phone. However, my instinct is that employees are involved somehow, but of course I can’t say for sure.
Worst bar experience I have EVER had!!!My friend had her phone stolen here and while waiting for (the only kind) worker to help us. A disgusting security officer 3x my size physically assaulted me. I made a report that night for her uncalled for behavior. The head security guard, Parker, gave me a fake phone number, and this company has made it extremely difficult for me to contact them in hopes of rectifying this situation. As someone with invisible disabilities, I strongly advise EVERYONE from taking a step in this extremely UNSAFE establishment. I wish I could give this place a 0.Save your time, money, and energy-The Abbey is NOT worth it.
Had a single vodka cran last night and was blackout maybe 30 minutes later & ended up at the hospital, i’ve been hooked up to machines all day and i can’t even keep water down. the bartenders and workers are all in on it and they’re the ones spiking your drinks. stop giving this place any business and for the love of god someone shut them down because this is happening way too often
Ok so my first time here was yesterday, which was considered to be a slow night.. :)Got in early, I must say I was extremely impressed, great music, talented dancers (most for sure), very liberatinh, very sexual, in your face so to speak. Its definitely NOT my scene but it was interesting to watch.Enjoy!
Be aware this place is known for theft. Be expected to lose your phone. Just last night 10 phones were stolen. The sad thing is that this is nothing new. It’s a known issue and the owners don’t do anything about it. Maybe they’re part of this. I don’t recommend going there. The drinks are super pricey too
Have you ever got the feeling that you have been deliberately ignored at a venue because you face doesnt fit I was ignoredat Abbey Food & Bar 1 April 2024 at around 8pm initially for fifteen minutes and it was not particularly busy, but eventually a bartender black roundish glasses, who looked like he was around 24. deigned to attend to me. After I had been standing on my walking stick for around fifteen minutes he then occasionally threw a disdainful stare at me whilst chatting other patrons. I had indicated that wanted slice of lime in my soda water , which was provided he then deigned to take my order of carrot cake with coconut and pecan and coconut icing and ice cream. I had never ordered food in a club environment so was unsure if I should pay at the bar but so after waiting or another fifteen minutes I took a seat and waited forfor another fifteen minutes wondering what was going on I went back to the bar and he said what you want?. I had already ordered my cake off a menu which stated that it was carrot cake with coconut and pecan icing and ice cream , but when it finally arrived it was just an a cake with an unidentifiable thin white icing and certainly no ice cream and the cake which tasted sickly sweet. i expected better for $11.00. There should have been no confusion in the first place as I placed an order off the menu and he went and punched into the machine the behind barI had never ordered food a club, as the bartender had then gone off (wordlessly) to serve other patrons. I therefore assumed that I should take a seat and that the order and bill would brought to my table . I sat down for another fifteen minutes and started to get the feeling that I was deliberately being ignoredI went over and said do you not serve people with cancer does this not fit your ideal patron look?, which got his attention He then had the chutzpah to quickly say you must have confused me with another member of staff (out of all of the other male staff members wearing that style of glasses on that particular night@ management do you feel that this is the way to treat differently-abled patrons or or no anyone for that matter anyone??
Best club on the weho strip, IMO. Vibe is bumping, dancers are talented and people are friendly. Just wish you didnt have to watch out for pick pockets... but seriously this is the spot.
They have a fabulous outdoor Terrace with easily accessible bar great seating fun ambiance. This is the Fun Spot in West Hollywood to dance mingle and have a good time. Whos who of Hollywood always stops by its the perfect spot to meet cool interesting people in the industry. Everyone here is sexy, especially the go-go dancers! The music is always fun table service is exceptional. They make strong drinks and the bartenders are really fast. Be sure to tip them well and theyll take good care of you. Its the place to be seen. Wish they had more restrooms because its always crowded with a long line. But the Russians are super clean well-maintained and fully stocked with all you need. After the drinks are flowing youll find yourself having an amazing wild and crazy night with a lot of stories to tell the next day.
It is a known fact among locals that the bartenders will drug your drink and many women have been assaulted. Do not support this business. It is astounding to me that anyone goes here.
Best place in weho to hang out in the afternoons, warm up for partynights or dance the night away. love the food, drinks and staff- always felt welcome. and occassionally a celeb or two will stop by unpretentiously. one of my favorite places to be, thanks Abbey!
Stop letting people be roofied (men and women) and all the theft. Some of ur workers seem to be in on the drugging and doing some of the stealing themselves. Sad we can’t be safe in our own communities anymore
Amazing drag show on Monday nights. Some of the BEST Los Angeles Talent comes through here: DJs, Gogos, Dancers, and Performers. So def a destination to visit in LA. The interior design is fun and existing and the space is BIG. Dance floor, multiple bars to get drinks in case one is too busy, patio, and even a cafe. Always awesome vibes when you go here. A good mix of straight & gay folxs. Not gonna lie some of the hottest guys and girls in the city hang here so its always a fun crowd. Great place for dancing, drinks, food, and and entertainment.
I should’ve read the reviews before coming here, but yes, I agree with the sentiment from everybody because it is not safe at all. Especially for young girls, food and drink were also terrible
This place is one of the few establishments that openly holds prejudice against its patrons.Lies are ugly and the Abbey is doing it’s part to making the world more ugly.
Want to have a drink in a gay/gay friendly bar in LA? This is the place to be. The place is huge, but do not look like as there are several different rooms with different atmospheres and an indoor/outdoor mix.Staff as well as patrons are very friendly.Gogo dancers (mainly guys, but some girls too!)Possibility to grab food too.
We arrived in LA on Christmas Day and everything was closed except for Starbucks. Our last resort for Christmas Dinner was The Abbey. It was a Christmas Miracle with comfortable outdoor seating, a mixed and friendly clientele, fast and satisfying meals and fishbowl martinis. Gogo dancers in Christmas themed underpants were a highlight.
Sounds like they have your phone and wallet swiped to make it harder for you to leave so they can spike your drink and try to get you to a house nearby that’s actually a brothel/trafficking ring. Cops r in on it stay away
The Abbey in West Hollywood is an LGBTQI venue in West Hollywood. It is a great venue for food and drinks.Unfortunately, it is a hot or miss on whether you get a decent waitperson. On this visit, I attended twice. The first waitperson was excellent. Attentative but not intrusive. Well deserved the 20%+ gratuity.Unfortunately, at my second visit on 11/23 the wait waitperson was barely existent. I saw them twice. Numerous times they ignored my signals that I needed something. I still gave a gratuity but it certainly wasnt the normal 20%+.I ended having an apple pie as dessert and was surprised to find it was cold and had not been warmed up.My waitpersons shift ended and they left which was interesting so Im not sure if they iwill get the tip.It is a great venue but needs to be spruced up.The bar chairs and booths need a serious update.
Think twice before heading to the Abbey. My friend’s phone and wallet got swiped right there while we were hanging out. Youd think a place like the Abbey would have better security. But nope, it seemed like anyone could just grab stuff and walk out. Not cool. Its a bummer because the place has a great atmosphere, but whats the fun if you have to worry about your stuff the whole time?
Fun until it wasn’t. The music and vibes seemed good, but we kept getting harassed wherever we stood to dance. Because of this, we made sure to stay extra aware of our surroundings, had only 2 drinks each and kept the drinks close to us at all times. All that and still my phone got stolen from inside my purse (they ruined its clasp) and my friend got roofied. We’ve replayed the night in our heads over and over, and we suspect it was the bartender (longhaired guy). While we were closing the tab he tried to charge us both rounds of drinks at the end, even though we had paid for the first round way before we opened the tab. We got into a whole back and forth with him on this trying to explain it. That last drink was the roofied one, and it makes sense, since she was the one paying. RUN. Not worth the bad time
This is a pretty nice place. Good music, dancers and drinks. But there’s a problem: I’ve entered and put my things on the locker. Later, they have split the nightclub into 2 places; and my things got on the other nightclub space where I couldn’t enter again without get a huuuuuuuuge line of people who was just arriving. And this rude security didn’t even listen to me when I’ve asked just to get my things back from the locker. It was freezing, I’ve paid for the locker, I’ve got the line before and he just wanted me to get back. But in very rude way he said I should get back the line (without any clothes), because suddenly they’ve splited the nightclub. He was rude. He was awful. So, I don’t give The Abbey 5 stars, but 3.
PICKPOCKETS EVERYWHERE!!! My phone was pickpocketed and while talking to security at least 15 other people came up saying their phone was stolen. Security did nothing. DO NOT GO HERE!!!
Reminds me of the Village back in NYC 🤓Good music, great prices &dancers, decent 🅿️ options!
The bartender in the first picture actually refused to wait on me and my friends! My bestie came into town from Newyork! I rented her a house for a week! Decided to go to The Abbey, this bartender served every white person including those that walked up after me. He even whispered to the bartender in the second picture not to serve me. I had to get the supervisor who was he also whispered to, fortunately I started recording and he had no choice! He said put that camera away and I’ll serve you! My white friend I met during the conflict bought me drinks from the same bartender! All and all I spent over 290.00 on drinks and I will never again put money in the hands of racists and anti black establishment. Sad thing is he was easy on the eyes but a horrible human being
My friends and I went on a Saturday night, we went up to the bar on the side and were rudely acknowledged by a bartender named Roxanne/Roxxy. As soon as we approached her she became impatient asking if all five of us were going to order drinks, we said only 2 of us since the other 3 were the designated drivers. She gave us a dirty look and asked again “are you guys sure? Only two drinks???”, it’s almost like she thought the other 3 were going to order drinks after she took the initial order and inconvenience her later. After she poured our drinks from the slushy machine, she threw the tab on the counter and walked away. Maybe she was having a bad day, but I still tipped her $4 for pouring two drinks from a slushy machine. After I signed the tab and left it on the counter, she immediately came over, looked at the tip and became more annoyed, then walked away mad. I’m sorry if you weren’t happy with the tip, I still tipped you because I assumed you were having a bad day but you having an attitude just makes your environment and the customers environment a bad one.
Be careful because you could get trafficked here. Bartenders are in on it and are spiking drinks.
Great food, service can be slow friendly people!
Be careful CHECK YOUR BILL. They applied wrong prices. CHECK and dont let them cheat on you
If you wanna get roofied - this spots for you. Women please avoid this place.
Known for unsafe drinks and theft. I only went one time and left with trauma.
I had a blast at this place when I visited Los Angeles. It was very nice and I went on a Sunday night when it was not too busy. Drinks were good and the place is awesome! They have a beautiful fireplace and theres a bakery and coffee shop in there too! I was in awe. The bakery had the best brownie I have ever had. I really enjoyed it and hope to get back again for some more drinks, coffee and sweets!
I was not served because I did not have Apple Pay or cash. I have Apple Wallet. Staff member not interested!
So fun, great people, good drinks, and fun dancers! I wish the bathroom attendants werent so pushy and aggressive about tipping. I didnt see any signs and was hounded for a tip
It is fantastic that the Abbey is still open and operating during COVID. The Abbey has always been one of my go to places in West Hollywood and has delicious drinks. This was the first time I have ordered appetizers and they were pretty good.Parking can always be an issue when visiting West Hollywood but there are some pay lots nearby.Prices are exactly what you expect for an upscale bar in West Hollywood and they do mix a good cocktail so they are worth the money!
Lots of theft and unsafe drinks reported here and they continue to do nothing about it. Watch your drinks
The music is always on point and their food menu is GREAT. My favorite is their Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup.…WOW. Their service could use some serious help though. I would’ve given 4-stars for this review but their service really is just awful. The wait for them to take your order and the wait to receive your order will be approximately one hour, that’s pretty terrible. If I go and don’t order food, only drinks, I still would’ve only given them 4-stars because their service just sucks. Besides their service, I really do love this place.
Unusual place with good food but poor service. Diverse audience. But, there are promotions and you can get free cocktails and a private room for an hour. To do this, you need to register on 909gay,com create a profile and just show it to the administrator. I was lucky. I want to come again.
My cell was stolen twice at this place. The waiters overcharge you by mistake. Once the mistake cost me $80 dollars for a drink that was priced at $15. How innocent of them! And it happened several times. I was drunk but my receipt was the proof and my bank statement. Fortunately, I called the manager and he fixed the problem. I recommend you take cash with you and watch your wallet. Anyway, its still a great place to dance the night away. Snobbish types but who gives a f...?
Went here for brunch with friends and had thee most amazing time! Their hospitality is one for the books. I believe his name was Chris, but he took our reservation from the day before. The day of, he came up to me and introduced himself and with a hug! He asked about our service and if we enjoyed ourselves. Our server was Gabe, and he was suuper friendly and he really took care of us! The food was good, and the drinks were SUPERB. I left feeling quite nice. The drag show was also very entertaining! Perfect setting, as the weather was fab. Will return!
@ Tristan SchukraftTo keeping up the roofie theft ring business model 😍😍😍💖💖💖🫡🫡😝😝
BEWARE OF THIS PLACE! DONT COME HERE UNLESS YOURE WILLING TO RISK GETTING ROOFIED OR YOUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS STOLEN.
I’ve been attending abbeys for about 3 years now. My absolute favorite bar to go out to. The atmosphere is incredible. The drinks are made strong and not expensive. You can sit, stand, dance, do whatever you want there is so many options. I’m personally not gay but it’s also for straight people. I have a lot of friends that are gay that go and a lot of friends that are straight and go. It’s open for everyone and it really is fun to go to abbeys and see all the cool people and dancers and it’s not your average dance bar. That’s why I enjoy it so much. I’m there at least once a week and I’m never let down after going there.
Hands down great atmosphere. Most seem happy to be there and having a good time. I was pleasantly surprised at the quick service by the bartenders. One slight dilemma, if you really want to call it such is that drinks are filled to the rim and consequently because it is so busy will result in major spillage. So, as soon as you get your drink - drink to avoid the above mention.
Had such a blast here! The people were so friendly, the music was good and the vibe was awesome!Read some other reviews.. I admit I had a rude bartender that I think overcharged us, so we went to another bartender afterwards. They should put these bartenders in check to keep the good vibes going!
Fun place to visit. Especially on the weekends. Parking can be hard but there is a small valet parking area towards the back that closes at 2am. So good for everynight (just not a super late night). The Chapel next door (also part of the Abbey) is a beautiful edition. Great music. And handsome dancers
The food here is pretty good. My partner and I shared the warm chicken salad and the BBQ beef brisket sandwich. The combination of the two definitely filled us up. The Rosemary and garlic fries are tasty, although I wished they were served hot. We had them take it back but it came out at the same temperature. The coffee is decent, nothing really to write home about. Overall its nice to come here to eat during the day and enjoy a relaxing Sunday afternoon.
Really unfortunate for this bar that theft is so common here.3 out of 4 of my friends (one of them being me) got our phone stolen this past Saturday night 2/23/19. All of our phones were in our zipped purse and we all looked down to an unzipped purse with no cell phones. We were not all together at the time of the theft either, seems extra fishy. & yes we should have been more careful, but for all 3 of us to get our phones stolen essentially at the same time when we werent all standing next to each other, clearly indicated there is definitely a group of people working together to do this. When attempting to speak to staff regarding the issue they were all dismissive and did not care. I have a very strong feeling the staff are in on the theft. When we left the bar, there were at least two other females out front who also said their phone was stolen.OVERALL, just avoid the Abbey. There are far too many bars to go to in the area where you dont have to worry about being robbed.& to whoever stole all of our phones, good luck attempting to use it/sell it. Its locked and reported stolen. Also Karma exists.
Having never been to a gay bar before, I was thrown in the deep end when I went here on Pride with a group of friends. The place is enormous and it was packed. There were male go-go dancers and everyone was dancing. Bar service was quick. While I dont plan on becoming a regular, I had fun and would recommend a visit by anyone interested in the WeHo bar scene or famous LA bars.
I had a great experience here for my 21st birthday on April 26. Fun club, good music, good people. Hot dancers. Make sure you keep your shirt on though or theyll ask you to leave. I will definitely return many times in the future!
The club itself has interesting lay out: main entrance with the bar, dance lounge with restrooms (a little down), open roof smoking area, sit down restaurant and another area bar. Music can be heard in all areas. There is no cover charge (or at least there wasnt when I went on Saturday night). The drinks are good and made to request (more vodka, sweeter etc), service is great. Music, however, I would put on the downside: wasnt too technical, remixes werent great. Just some regular motives to shake to.. Parking (of course), but valet is available for $10. People are not that friendly.. Everybody is looking and staring at you but noone would come out and start talking to you or invite to dance with you. Overall there was a feeling of not welcomed and snobbish people in there, just rich kids came to hang out and drink like for a regular night
The Abbey has a little bit of everything for everyone! Here you can have your birthday party, bash party, get-together, business meetings, or just social time. Last time I counted four main bars, (but I think I saw more) huge dance floor, great food, outdoor patio, etc. Its a great place to be YOU! The staff are friendly and quick to respond to issues. And in case you wanna freshen up, add some cologne to yourself, forgot gum, they have that available by the restrooms, so no need to run to the store and buy those things. Nightlife there is superb!
I always celebrate my birthday In Beverly Hills.and usually have a great time in weho at the abbey. This visit was a disaster. If your single do not go to the abbey with the state being on lock down. I had to wait outside because I requested a decent table for one. Finally the sat me in the back to enjoy a drink while I get a decent table 20 minutes to get a drink now I have been here an hour including my wait time and still no decent table. It’s my birthday and they have so far made it difficult for me to enjoy my night. David Cooley you should be ashamed of yourself not taking care of your customers.
A great place to start your WeHo night out!
Came here for Valentines brunch with the hubby. Great service and atmosphere. Our waiter Mr. Figeroua was wonderful, attentive, and charming. The owner or manager also approached us and thanked us for choosing the abbey to celebrate the day, which to me showed great leadership and integrity. We felt every welcomed. Would recommend to anyone for brunch.
Multiple friends of mine have come here and gotten roofied… both men and women are not safe. This is extremely disappointing that we can’t even be safe in our own spaces please be careful of yourself and loved ones
I might have written a review, but will do it again hokis. This place is one of the funnest bar/restaurant Ive been to. Full of life, delicious food , drinks , and up beat music. Oh, and really nice GO GO dancers. spent one of my birthdays here. YEP
Such a great gay institution in West Hollywood! The place is massive considering the location. Drinks are somewhat expensive, but you shouldnt let that deter you. If youre looking for a fun gay experience in LA, day or night, then you should definitely check out The Abbey!
My Girlfriend brought me here, I was a little apprehensive about going to a gay bar but had no reason to be. The service was absolutely amazing our waiter was polite and helpful. The tacos were so good I got a to go order to bring home. Fun place
Although the Abbey is supposedly an amazing place, for what you pay to be forced to stay seated... in a dancy club bar... with threats to be kicked out for dancing. I was floored!Expect to pay way more than you expected, plus added gratuity. It was over $50 for two mixed drinks!I’m all for paying people for doing their jobs, but the servers spent more time scolding me for dancing by my seat (literally standing above my seat where I was sitting) than they did actually serving me.I realize this is COVID restriction induced, but I just can’t help but feel like I dropped so much money to basically scream over the extremely loud music to have a conversation, or if I succumbed to the music they were playing.. which was extremely hard to resist dancing to... I would get told to sit down or else being kicked out.Just save your money and come back when it’s fully open. It’s def not worth it, until dancing is allowed again. That’s why people come here...
Dont GO!! Your stuff will get stolen. This place is not safe. PERIOD.
Always a fun place! Not much of a dancer myself nor am I a drinker but I have a blast watching the dancers and hanging out. The desserts here are to die for! We had one of the giant ding dongs, it was delicious and was large enough to split with a few people. Definitely one of my favorite places in WeHo
The music is geared more towards techno or house beats. It can get pretty crowded and you have to walk through all the smokers to get inside. They have a small selection of baked goods inside at the chapel. And though the male dancers are usually cute, they dont do a whole lot however, the woman dancers always bring a solid energy to their performances
I so love this place but i hate the music sometimes 🫤 if they could play some newer songs to vibe with that would be so fun! Rocco’s has good music but i hate the place haha 😂 I guess you can’t really have it all 😂
Love the food and the atmosphere here! Used to be my goto club but the people dynamic has changed so much. Lots of roofies, tons of frat bros and their girlfriends. The chapel next door is now the good gay hang. My favorite times here at the Abbey are brunch on the weekends! The atmosphere is the best!!
This place is definitely a good time. The drinks were delicious, the patrons were super nice, and the music and dancing was a blast. It does get crowded, but its because of how much fun it is. Definitely a good place to visit for locals and out of towners alike.
This place has a really fun vibe although it seems that theft and pick pockets are quite common here-specifically regarding phones. Ive heard from other attendants that it could be an inside job.The security isnt very helpful about it and I understand that this place gets really packed (like shoulder-to-shoulder), but the security isnt readily available and, according to them, the cameras arent doing their job of capturing some necessary footage-such as theft or sexual molestation-due to the amount of people. I was told the cameras are only good for capturing fights. If you come here, please take special care of your belongings. Carry your purse in front of you so nobody, worker or attendee, reaches in. Constantly check your stuff/pockets. If something is stolen, please contact the police. Maybe a proper investigation can begin if people report it to the proper authorities so that the security at this bar is better and the culpable are stopped.I was pick pocketed twice in one night here. Fyi, my purse has a lock on it and the person who did it knew what they were looking for and what they were doing. My friends bag was also rummaged through.Be careful and be safe everyone. Be smart. Get in touch with the proper authorities to help you, the security and manager here will treat it all with nonchalance unfortunately.
Ive come here a couple times against my will. Im not a club person anyways, but I give anything a chance, and at first I did find the scantily clad dancers pretty amusing. Besides this place being expensive, crowded and the music being generic and repetitive, (thats every club in Hollywood so I wont single out the Abbey) the service is what will make me never come back here again. Certain servers here are on some type of elitist high horse and have no respect for people. I dont expect costumer service from a bar, or really from anywhere. The service industry is hard and usually pays minimum wage so I honestly never expect or seek out formalities or cheerfulness from my servers, but just on a personal level I have never come across such rude people as some of their bartenders. My gay friends love the place though & if youre wasted Im sure youll have a great time, but you can have an equally great time anywhere else in WeHo without having to put up with disrespect.
The bar has expanded since here lounge closed and now there is an annex called chapel which seems to always be crowded. I cannot speak about food as Ive not eaten here in years but Im sure its good quality. The dance music and Monday shows are a hit and there is usually wait to get in
We arrived at 6 and asked for drinks and food. The server was really friendly but for some reason we waited a very long time for water and our drinks. After an hour I had to walk over to the kitchen and ask where our food was BC our server was no where to be found. We eventually got our food and they comped everything. we finished our meal and still didnt see a server. Definitely will not be back.
I love a good gay bar, its basically like having a sign out front reading everybodys nice in here. Atmosphere is so dope and the drinks are strong. Need to go back for brunch, I havent eaten here but the food looks pretty solid.
Great place to find some of the most attractive gay men in the world also their cocktails are incredible good but pricey and is a long wait to manage a waiter or yourself to get one. Stay away from their food menu unless you are drunk and hungry, then it will taste like heaven.
Thank you Alexa Reyes for being the best VIP Hostess and for resolving my bill issue immediately. My birthday party wouldnt have been as successful without your professionalism, accuracy and quick email responses to my needs. Also, thank you to the Abbey / manager for always being the best place to bring friends and celebrating life.
Tried to make a reservation for Saturday night but was not permitted to do so with only a party of two, but we didnt need them. It was packed and we still had whatever tables we wanted! The locals are VERY friendly and welcoming and the staff was as well! I had a mango bloody mary that was TO DIE FOR!! Cant wait to visit again!
Our go to place for over 30 years. The best Moscow Mule ever made. Their secret ingredient makes the difference. You cant miss coming here. The new chef is creating incredible new foods. The new pastries are fantastic.
Super duper packed, Like wayyyy too packed (probably shouldnt have gone for the first time during pride parade weekend, that had to be a fire code violation). But the vibe was still good and the bartender got to me quickly. Not enough air conditioning or shade today, but probably will visit again some other time.
Who does not love the Abbey? Its an institution! Huge space, various bars within a bar. Excellent drinks and food. My favorite is white chocolate martini. Yes you might hear that it is a gay bar, but please do not let this stop you from visiting this wonderful bar. I am not gay and enjoy every visit and have a wonderful time talking with everyone.
Definitely my Go-To-Bar 🏳️🌈 I love it it here !! Such good vibes and amazing workers there, always ready to serve us and bring up food . I absolutely love the Expresso Martini☕ & This place is the Best
Went last night - a little over packed but what an adventure. The bartenders and dancers are all beautiful people - everyone had a great time. The music was the best - great DJ
We were just here for brunch. The food was good, the service was not. The server seemed to be avoiding us. One guy put someone elses food on our table then walked away, we didnt touch the food and just waited until they came and grabbed it. They didnt say anything to us about it. They made a new dish for the people who were supposed to receive it, then we had to sit there for about 20 mins while those guests spoke to 2 servers and a manager while pointing at us and complaining that they wanted fresh plate because it was put on our table. Nobody came to apologize to us, and our server barely came around to serve us. The prices also seemed high, for example $5.50 for an orange juice is a little crazy.
Good experience for the 2nd time. It does get a bit crowded for the after work rush. Crowd is, I hate to say it, typical weho crowd, but some nice diversity is happening slowly. Enjoyable. Good music. Good drinks. Decent bartenders, only drawback, typical weho... Drink prices. When you can buy a bottle for the same price as the drink, something is not right. Just sayin.
I had the best time at the abbey...the best. And everything you have heard is true. Its the most fun friendly club in LA. From Tamara to Nate the stars of the bar! The service is exceptional. The food fantastic. I had the tomatoes/cucumber salad. With goat cheese. Mmmmm. Was terrific! Also the wings! David Cooley knows what hes doing and he has a goldmine! I will frequent this place... great for large groups or if you are by yourself.. xoxx
Was here on the 26 June 2022 for late lunch. Server at the bar next to the bakery (caucasian female, blonde, thirties to fourties) was extremely rude when we asked for water, ignored my friend and refused service. I went over, horrified and she tried to charge me 14 dollars for water, pulled a self entitled dirty look when I asked politely for tap water. Despite us being a group of 4 paying customers who had had both lunch and drinks, and I had persobally tipped her after going upto the bar to buy a drink. Perhaps it was a racially charged incident, in which case we apologise sincerely for not being white.donThe owner was around and clearing tables, I didnt mention anything to him out of human decency although i dont see why one would bother turning upto the job if that is ones attitude when asked politely to serve, as a server. Plenty of unemployment checks to go around.
Presentation of the food alone made you want to order everything. I thought the alcoholic drinks were a tad over priced but they were refreshing. Great place to chill with friends and catch up. You want regret it and love the music they play.
This place can be fun but theres too Many heteros who can be grabby which is annoying, be Very careful with your drinks, wallet, and phone I know a few ppl that got roofied and their wallet and phones stolen here. Other than those things its a good spot for EDM and its Often very crowded.
Great place! We were there for pride weekend and had an amazing time! Everyone was so friendly, the staff, the crowd, the dancers ... food also very good! We will definitely go there again on our next visit to LA.
It is too hot in Chapel. You cant even talk to people because its a mess. Its not enjoyable. The Abbey and it are filled with jerks and the drinks and food are overpriced. There are too many straight identifying people too. They should go to one of their 2000 bars in the area- not overtake the few gay bars in Los Angeles.
A very lovely club in west hollywood, inviting atmosphere, very trendy. However, they need clearer rules about age limits, they didnt specify it on their website, but apparently it is 21+ on saturdays only, and 18 + on other days. though oddly, they let my 20 year old friend in the door after two bouncers checked her ID, the bartender checked her ID, and then 30 minutes later someone tells her she has to leave. weird.
Really fun atmosphere! Fun to go to with friends for a night out. Only complaint is no tap water and charging $7 for a bottled water is pretty ridiculous.
Im just disappointed. I thought it would be a great idea to have lunch here, being that its the Abby, and I am celibrating my 31st birthay. We got our drinks and waited for our food. 2 couples that came after us sat in front and behind us. After sitting there I noticed they got their food before we did. I very kindly asked the waiter why are they getting their food first. He said let me check. Its just unacceptable to not bring out someones food and not even apologize. When we said can you cancel the order he simply said okay Ill let them know. We where charged for our drinks, which is okay, but they should have at least try to comp our drinks. I honestly feel like they have such high respect from the community, that they dont feel like they need to apologize for their mistake. I understand it might be a great establishment to the community but they should never loose the appreciation of each individual patroon that walks into their establishment. Costumer service and satisfaction should always be priority. Seeing that these patrons is what keeps them in business. I always looked at the Abby with high respect but after going, its just a disappointment. I would call it the mediocre.
The vibe was great! The drinks are super strong and the ravioli was really good. They should have a monthly lesbian night , then it’d be my favorite favorite bar!
I will always love this place. For me, its about mornings, coming here with my two uncles when they lived in N Alfred and eating a wonderful breakfast in the cool of the morning before the heat of the day really bit. Great food, polite service, a great alternative spot to start your day.
**Beware of Pickpockets**!! Four people in my group had their phones stolen out of their purses, and 1 person got their wallet stolen.I reported it to the manager and he asked me to call back the next morning to see if any more phones were turned in, so I did. I also took the managers name down, just in case. The next morning when I called back the guy on the phone acted very suspiciously. He immediately denied that any phones had been turned in, which I knew was a lie - since I had seen these phones the night before. I also mentioned the managers name to this guy, and he denied knowing who that was (?!).All in all, LAPD knows how shady this place is.Be EXTREMELY wary of this place - especially the bar and dance floor.
The place is a non-stop thrill ride. the drinks are great, the people are fun. its just a good time in a small bottle. different events on thursday and saturday. its a must if you like to go all the way to west hollywood. food is a bit pricey but other than that its great.
You are part of a human traffic is a lot of people saying everywhere you guys a disgusting 🤮
Pretty much a restaurant beginning of the day, food is typical LA where u kind of get what u pay for. Today I moved tables 3 times for finally someone to acknowledge I was here to spend money and eat. Even a couple sitting next to me that sat around the same time I did actually left. Most of the staff seems to care more about how they look while they prance around than helping customers. This was not so much the case a few years back. Slowly getting worse every time I come here. Them now having a show with a staff that supposedly has worked in the venue for so many years is a lie. Over all goodbye Abbey, u were great before becoming too commercial literally.
Such a fun club! Lots of dancing, but also places to eat, drink, relax, and people watch. Friendly staff too, so it feels welcoming to people new in town.
Was at the Abbey on Thursday January 10 for an early lunch with my partner and his cousins visiting from Iowa. We drove down the coast from SF to give them a coastal perspective of California. We had a nice lunch and Gabriel provided us with good table service. He is friendly and very attentive. Will recommend the Abbey to those visting the LA area.
I was here a week ago and my phone and wallet were stolen out of my bag. I was completely sober and I now see this is a common trend at this place. I asked all of the bartenders and security but no one could care less. It’s really sad that this place is now becoming known as a place to get robbed. Will not be coming back!
Great place for a night out for drinks, or food during the day.food: A variety of food on offer, finger food for groups, and some meals for non sharing.drinks: Lots of variety of alcoholic drinks.service: Good service, accommodating staff.environment: Lots of seating indoors and out, loud music, pool table area, girl and guy dancers that can climb up the pipes.
I was roofied at this place and got my phone, wallet and sunglasses stolen. The next day when I came to - I saw the thief spent over 7000 dollars using my credit card. I was warned by my co-workers that this sort of thing could happen at the Abbey but never seriously thought it would happen to me. I am from Toronto and wanted to see what the nightlife was like - but it cost me more than I bargained for. Reading the reviews - I see now this is common at the Abbey so I suggest avoiding this place at all costs, especially if youre a solo traveler.
How can anyone afford to go here anymore? I use to visit this establishment when this was I smaller coffee bakery with a patio sculpture store next door. With the cost of expensive drinks/food, Uber/Lyft ride or WH DUI, stolen wallet and phone, over charges on your bill, clothes to purchase to be noticed, a fresh hair cut, a some what kind of a dance floor, wow is it all worth it? Not for me, I would rather patron a classy establishment with kind bar tenders and staff.
I was here tonight and have had stolen my phone and there were 6 others stolen their phones as well. Try to ask the security and seems they really doesnt care. I am reading the reviews now and I see that this is happening always. Is it normal ??? Are they doing anything to fix this problems? The thing is I wasnt the only one and this isnt one evening 6 of us lost our phone. !?!?How come the owner of this club doesnt care ???
The Abbey is my favorite LGBT-friendly club/bar/lounge in West Hollywood. I have been coming here for 8 years and have always had a great time.Doesnt matter if youre straight, gay, bi... everyone is welcome!
This establishment assumes the the guests from out of town knows the difference between the Chapel and the Abbey establishments that is separated by three steps between the two. We had asked to be moved to a different table to the Abbey from the chapel and were told no! This was in The middle of the day with multiple tables empty. Todd the manager on duty lacked empathy instead assumed we knew how an “Olive Garden” operates and explained to my partner and I that the Abbey was strictly a restaurant and that you cannot move when you are dining at a restaurant. I explained to him that we have moved tables in multiple restaurants and that should not be an excuse of why we cannot request to move tables due to the 90 degree sun beating down on the table. No apology given. We spent over 200 dollars to be treated in a way that lacked human empathy in this world of division. I will think 2x before spending money in an establishment that is too proud as to look at the guest requests and be great full for the business during this economic downturn.
I gave The Abbey a few shots to impress me and keep me coming back; needless to say that it has done just that.I would describe it as your run of the mill bar with a dance floor and places to sit both inside and outside. The dance floor can get overly crowded and there is usually hardly any space to really shake your groove thing. There is also the possibility of someone bumping you a bit too hard or a butch/stud thinking youre trying to take and/or dance with her girl when all youre trying to do is find some room to let loose and get away. I cant say this is true for the gay men as they have always been sweet towards me! Dont get me wrong though, the crowd is usually friendly (you may spot a few YouTubers). For some reason, I really love their bathrooms! Yes, there is going to be a line for both men and women, but when youre done and you go out to wash your hands, there are polite attendants there to hand you a napkin and you can choose from mints and candies to freshen your breath with. There are even perfumes and colognes to choose from if youve been sweating a bit too hard! The DJ kind of sucks depending on what night you go. Usually I get there and there is techno, house, electronic, etc music playing. I love techno, but it can be overkill when youre trying to shake ya tail feather per-say. Other nights Ive been when theyve played Top40 and I prefer that DJ night over the former. The Abbeys drink prices are pretty standard for the WeHo area. Id say too much when compared to what you can actually buy at Bev-Mo or Total Wine for the same price; REDUNKulous!!Forget all of that, I still LOVE THE ABBEY and Ill continue to visit as long as I visit LA!
The tall black security guard was kinda racist. It does not mean that Im not an American, Im not allowed to get in. He does not accept a government issued id from my country which clearly shows my age. Instead he asked for passport. Why would i bring my passport in a night out of drinking? Hello, Im not going into a plane? I even used these ids in airport, and it was fine. The guard just directly and rudely and conceitedly shouted i am well traveled been to other countries!... and other rude comments totally unnecessary. He even lied, clearly he has not been outside America I am quite sure he has not, with his attitude towards other races. He should be kicked out, he is bad for American tourism. Its my first time not being allowed in an American bar. I great respect for America and its people but this person clearly has no respect to other people. A good thing I was able to get in Rage, Mickeys and Saddle, etc, hopefully the management of Abbey should look into it.
Diverse, fun, engaging, and a safe, friendly atmosphere. Music was great, dancers were energetic, and a great place to make friends. You wont find a place quite like this elsewhere.
It was a really fun experience for me. Food and dancing!
Please do research before going here. It’s seedy underbelly that you don’t see is real.
You wont know this but... the Abbey actually serves food. But wait. They serve GOOD food. Yes, I said it.Aside from it being a hot gay destination/bar/lounge, this location is actually a restaurant during the day. I know, crazy, right? Who knew they needed to operate normally to sustain itself? Rent is high in WeHo!I adore their CHICKEN POT PIE, which is a special on Wednesdays, I think. You cannot order this whenever you want unfortunately. Additionally, my colleagues are major fans of their CHINESE CHICKEN SALAD. They absolutely love it.So whenever youre around the area, know that they are open for lunch and will graciously feed your hunger pangs :)
I was here last night and while I was in line at the chapel at the abbey I witnessed a girl on her middle 20s approach the security I think she was trying to convince him of her identity I’m not 100 % sure what the issue was to be honest but she wasn’t acting like I know some drunk people can sometimes that leads to bad situations, when out of nowhere she gets slammed so hard on the cement for no valid reason besides the security thinking he has the authority to do as he pleases when he’s frustrated, I immediately got out of the line and encouraged everyone around me to do so as-well because I would never support an establishment whom we pay their bills treat us like that considering I lost my friend due to someone slamming him in the floor so hard he later on had blood cloths in he’s brain and he is no longer with us I cant and will not stand by this behavior no one should support a business like this that doesn’t care about your presence only your money and if your drunk and wanna debate anything with a bouncer here get ready to get slammed in the floor, your lucky I didn’t have it in video or I would have a lawsuit in my hands!! The big guy and the really tall bearded guy at chapel are unworthy of having that position here considering they violate their authority to mishandle people and that’s a behavior you see a lot here in West Hollywood that’s why I will never come back
Just experienced the abbey for the first time! Live for the bartender mike, but unfortunately the service from other staff was extremely rude David was intense and honestly was very extreme. I come from a community where we respect people. David does not have that in him.
Abbey is definitive my favourite LGBT club in LA. Great diversity of people, great food and drinks, fit and handsome waiters and a freaking cool main bar. Long lines for the restrooms during late hours, but the security is doing a really good job maintain order even when its packed.
Food was good got seated right away but waited almost 35 minutes to even get our drink order in and it wasn’t even crowded. This is after being seated alway in the back of the establishment. Not trying to pull the race card but we were the only POC there....
Drinks are a bit expensive but what do you expect! Still a great place to visit. Its a gay bar but we didnt mind it, good fun and plenty of friendly people dancing and having the craic
I have been going to The Abbey since it was just a coffee place in the 90s, fantastic food, drinks, vibe and cake! Yes! They serve the best cakes ever!! Love to go mid morning or lunch time since it’s kinda empty and I can bring my Frenchie. Wether you’re straight or part of the LGBTQ community it is a MUST go in LA.
I went to this bar last night and I have NEVER been so offended in my life. On the counter at the sinks they have little treats and I got the urge to grab a starburst after washing my hands. As I unwrap my starburst the sassy little bathroom attendant picks up the tip jar on his side and shakes at me as he proceeds to tell me that the treats arent free. 1.) I had already dropped a dollar in the jar on my side (though the womens restroom had no attendant) 2.) The treats are free (tips are welcome) I then let him know I had already put a dollar in the jar and I shook it back at him. He then got the security guard to (I guess) tell on me for shaking the jar. The security guard tells me they work for tips, I told him I had tipped, showed him the jar and he said I didnt see it and then said to put a dollar in the jar. My jaw hit the floor. I then proceeded to grab another dollar and saw I had a five, so as a nice **** you I dropped a five in and let him know I would do everything in my power to (metaphorically) burn the establishment to the ground. I am polite, generous, well mannered, and I ALWAYS tip if there is a jar or a tip line on a receipt. The behavior from these two (attendant/security guard) was so disrespectful I was only hoping to get kicked out (since that seemed to be the threat). After nothing more than a few more sassy looks after dropping the five I walked out. This is how I really feel.
The worst Gay club Ive ever been! so I went there on a friday night alone. The bartender told me that a double whiskey with ginger was $$$20and(woah) and when I handed in a hundred bill, he gave me back two FIVESs and some ONEs(woah). The funnier thing is that when I turn to another bartender, they ask for a bottle of bud light for $$$15.I guess Im not welcomed there and either they are dying for some extra moneys.
First time going to the Abbey and I was definitely not disappointed. The music was poppen, dancer were friendly and very energetic...Drinks were delicious and inexpensive. Had an amazing time for sure!
The food, the music, the dancing, the people! We make friends every time we visit. Long lines are a pain right now, but definitely my favorite spot to hit up when visiting WeHo.
I vaguely recall my visit here aside from that i know w great certainty that i had a really good time dancing here about 5 years ago the day i fell climbing on a rock in Venice w Ole Billy. looking forward to returning & hopefully forming some more blurry but positive memories 🙏🏽♾
Great place, awesome music, option for food/bottle service is always a plus. Saturdays is so packed it is hard to walk around even though it is a huge club. 4 stars because the time it takes to get drinks is hella long, and slightly expensive. Pre-game drink prior and arrive early to get parking or youll walk a ways lol. Defiantly will return.
Like going into an episode of Queer as Folk, replete with go-go dancers, strobe lights and expensive beers. It has a function though; if youre slightly wasted and want to dance, this is the place. For conversation or just to enjoy a drink, try the bars nearby.
Got to be super careful here. Someone stole my wallet here, I know because I got a bunch of fraud alerts right after and the next day.
Sunday funday was everything we expected!
Tete Matthew, is the best waiter weve had there. Always order the Steak and Fries and an Oatmeal Cookie Shot. Great atmosphere! Hotties of all rainbow flavor. The perfect LGBT environment!
The Abbey is the historical soul of the WeHo gay scene. Its a really cool place with lots of dance floor space. Its a restaurant during the day and the food is pretty good.
Was my first time attending a club ever and had so much fun. Everyone, the bartenders, customers and dancers, were so nice...cant wait to come again. Highly recommend a visit.
One of the best bars in W. Hollywood. Great food as well. A place where no matter what your sexual preference, you are 100% guaranteed to HAVE A BLAST Wait staff is fantastic as are the bartenders.
Wild wild wild.. anyone whos been there knows i dont need to go on. Beautiful women and men all around u, good attitudes, great drinks and appetizers are delicious. Definitely not a place to bring the in laws :)
I always have a great time when I get the chance to come down to the abbey. Me and my girlfriend Jennifer have been going there for years. Great music great drinks great service and all around the best place to unwind.
Great bar, nice dance floor and good food.
Its a cool bar to go too.. very packed. To the point where you cant really dance Haha the only reason why I give four Is because to many people get thru before you after you been in line for a while, if that makes sense.
The Abbey is awesome. Im a straight female and this is a well known gay club that draws a mixed crowd. The people were awesome, walking into this place feels like stepping into another world where there are no rules as to who you can or cant be. I loved the decor and I had so much fun, The Abbey provided many memories for what started out as just another cinco de mayo lol
Horrible experience. They withhold your credit card and Id and treat you as a thief and that you might runaway. Disgusted. Also, appetizer and the main course came at the same time. Whats the meaning of the appetizer? Very disappointed.
The Abbey is a gay institution in West Hollywood. Started off as a small coffee shop, but its owner David Cooley has made it into a sprawling and beautiful facility. Interesting Lee it is voted the best place for a straight guy to bring a date year after year by La magazine. The food is good, the martinis have to be tried and the eye candy is everywhere. If youre a local or visiting from out of town the Abbey is a must.
The Chapel bartenders are rude and inconsiderate! You know, us gay people are sooooo lucky to have the straight guys be our bartender’s! Never going back! If you want to support the gay community in Los Angeles nor should you! Please!
Didn’t send me my burger protein style and told the driver to tell me to “take the buns off”. How hard is it to put my burger wrapped in lettuce? Also told the driver that my food came with fries when I ordered a side salad. Didn’t send me with fries. Whoever worked tonight has 0 customer service.
If you are one of those narcissistic or pretentious people that loves being all style and no substance please go right in. SOME QUICK WAYS TO IMPROVE YOUR SPACE: Make drinks with the quality you charge them for. Give a lot of your staff a crash course in p and Qs, and fire the waiter at the front bar who looks like a shaved warthog... pure negative energy...
Everytime I visit West Hollywood it is this bar I typically place on my schedule to visit. I go to the bar, I order a fabulous cocktail, and I enjoy the scene and the shows. I recommend it to anyone planning a visit to WeHo.
I went to The Abbey on Saturday November 18th for a special show honoring Fallen transgender people to murder in 2017. I had an awesome time and I met a lot of people, those are huge breakfast about Buffet that included just about everything including mimosas! I met a lot of fun people one of which was Laith Ashley and Andrew Nic.
I have been going to the Abbey since it opened and was a small fun experience. Breakfast was always good. Now, it is getting to big for ambiance and waitstaff appears to be dismal failed actors.
Too crowded, Disgusting drinks, Full of thieves (my friends phone got stolen) and straight ppl who just wanna touch you somehow…You won’t feel safe there AT ALL
Jesus (our waiter) made our night with his friendly, kind and professional personality. Post-pandemic, the abbey is doing a great job at keeping everyone safe. Thank you Jesus for your positive and service oriented attitude. You are a ROCKSTAR!
I always have at least a good time here, sometimes its absolutely great. Good music, good energy, people in a good mood. And the food is quite well-done.
Bartender was sweet. But I must say the smell is... well... its gross... it reminds me of old cheap beer thats been rotting under the bar.... it was so bad that I had to drink outside. But thats my only complaint
Great place to come and have some fun with your friends. I mean we have a blast every time we come here. The staff are really nice and the atmosphere is amazing.
This place back in the mid 00s was awesome now it’s the genre of music that bores me. House music is all good but all night? They don’t have a hip hop night oldies it’s drag shows and house music ugh
Cant go wrong at the Abbey. Best dance floor and patio in WeHo. Lots of room for groups of friends too. Best gay bar in LA.
Cool space but lord have mercy what a complete sh*t show. Lol. I’m not a fan of WeHo normally although I do love me some Stache across the street :)
Distasteful staff that does NOT hesitate to make anyone feel harassed or intimidated. If you take a second to go to the restroom, avoid the free treats on the sink. They will expect a dollar for the starburst in tip form. Find another establishment to go to. This one does not deserve anyones business.
The Abbey is a West Hollywood staple, and its always fun to stop by. The music can be really tecnho/ electronic sometimes, so Im not always into that. Its frequently very crowded with a line down the block, and you have to be careful because a lot of phones get stolen there. If you Uber/Lyft to the Abbey, choose a destination a couple blocks away and walk to save a lot! Theres a surge in price if you go directly somewhere that popular.
Usually try to avoid, its often just a last resort at the end of the night when youre liquored up enough and want to get some serious dancing done. The bachelorette parties are really bad though, a definite turn off.
The Abbey can get super busy, which can detract from ones experience, but the food is always excellent, and if you make nice with your server or bartender, you will rarely be treated better. Plus, the pastry counter is not to be missed.
Huge portions (if youre not used to American size). Amazing selection of alcohols, cocktails and vodka specifically. Staffs were beyond nice. Wifi too!
I had a fun time here during the WeHo pride weekend. The only downside was I got charged an extra $16 for something I never bought and they didnt refund it. So disappointing
My 1st time at the Abbey was not exactly pleasant... The thing that made my night is my server Q was amazing And also the busing staff was very friendly and talkative I will go Back and give it another try is long as I get Q!!!!!!
Trafficking, drink spiking, theft. STAY AWAY
Atmosphere is always amazing.
The atmosphere is alway fun. The mojitos are great. The lighting is perfect for the photo stand they have set up. You can email yourself the pictures that it takes, for free!
Always a good time. I have been coming here for over 20 years. Donna is the best DJ.
Much love for the Abbey.Iconic Weho bar. Its been around for a long time and every time I come here I have a blast. Great place, friendly crowd
Such a great place. The food is always cooked to perfection. And the taste is unbelievable. The staff is always so kind and patient as they take your order. I recommend this place 100%.
Fun vibe, friendly bartender, excellent bolognese. An unexpected surprise. Highly recommend.
Absolutely love it ! Amazing place for all kinds of people. Great bar, dance floor and music. More than 5 stars ✨!
Great performance and music. people get excited after midnight. well blended population, a great place to hang out in the gay bar area, even if you are straight.
This is probably the best night club in the whole entire world the music is amazing the crowd is beautiful and everybody just having a good time The bathrooms can get a little bit busy with a lot of people but theyre always in good clean condition the attendant is always so nice and they always have lots of goodies for you to take or use :)
Fun. The watermelon martini is my favourite drink. Happy Hour is a great deal. Super fun place to hang out.
Some of the best tapas on our trip to the US. Great music, atmosphere and stunning dancers! Had an awesome time.
Unfortunately ill have to give a bad review due to the fact that 3 rimes now that ive been here my friend have had their stuff stolen. If you go, be very careful and aware that you might get your stuff stolen.
This place is racist or the employees, walked in on Friday @4:30PmSat down at the bar and waited and waited the bar tender looked at me many times and never assist me with anything I got up from my seat and changed seats to where the bar tender was I ask him if there were any drinks specials at this time, he looked at me with a disgusting look like he didnt want to assist me so I repeated the question again he stated NO With an attitude and walked away, I believe its because I was black and I had on my gym clothes on I had just came from the gym so I sat there for an extra 60 secs to see if he would give me some drink options etc..he didnt and continue to look at me with a disgusting lookSo I got up and left. Wow I cant believe we still live in days like this. Im very disappointed and its unacceptable! To me and my culture.
