I’ve lived in LA my whole life and I’ve never had a worst experience at a club. At the front we were there to buy a table, and we were promised one free bottle with the 1K minimum with the purchase of a bottle. Once we got inside there was no free bottle and the waitress Ali’Cia W. lied and wouldn’t give us back our card back until we spent 1.3K which is impossible without buying another bottle. She is the worst server and person I’ve ever met and I would never want to experience her or that place ever again, the promoter that promised us a free bottle/table with the buy in is Dre do not trust him. I’ve literally NEVER written a bad review in my life until now. We have no problem spending money, It’s the fact that they were trying to hustle us is what is making me extremely disgusted.
Paid $111 for their NYE event and got there at 11 PM and was told by staff member they’re out of wrist bands but he’d be back. He never came back and I waited in line for about 40 minutes with no progress. Then staff told everybody (about 50+ people) in line that the event was oversold and nobody else would allowed in at that time since they were at capacity. Everybody was mad and demanding refund info and security refused to answer any questions and nobody from management came out. So right before midnight everybody had to leave. Not sure how it is inside atmosphere wise but bar next door was cool. 🤷🏻♀️ I eventually got a refund through Bucketlisters who sold the tickets but it was a pain and took a few days.
New Years was an absolutely wreck! When we first entered, the lone bartender RAN OUT OF CUPS to serve drinks. I had to flag down two people before anyone went to help him. Additionally, my friends who each paid $100 werent able to get in even though they had tickets and got in line at 11pm. The whole point of paying for a ticket is to guarantee entrance and drinks. Such a disappointment. Management, do better.
Trash place. The bouncer was letting minors in and when I showed him my real ID he refused to let me in. Save your time especially if you’re a guy the bouncers try to get you to bribe them $100 even when you’re of age. Was looking for a place to book a table for my birthday safe to say it will NOT be poppy
Not sure why they have an illiterate and snobby door guy who doesn’t know how to communicate or talk properly with clients who walk up to the club. He does not represent the club in a good light & he’s definitely racist. We left because he wasted our time for 45 minutes. Though the older black security man was very funny & nice. Ended up going to a different club where the door men & promoters were so welcoming.
Cover 60$ for guys but 0$ for girls. Drinks are strong but boring. Bottle girls seem unhappy but I get it girl. The DJ wasn’t immaculate nor was the crowd. Security was nice :)
Was going to drop $100k on bday party here but not anymore. Who owns this place ??? They dont care about these reviews Wow!? Celbs are not going to be into this place. What .. one rappers rents out your place and you think your all that ? And the bouncer. Who hires here !?!? Better places LA people. Come to my $100k bday party at Nice Guy.
I recently had the time of my life at Poppy in Los Angeles, and I cant help but rave about the incredible experience I had. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Poppy was a place where unforgettable memories are made, with its pulsating energy, fantastic dancing, and exceptional hospitality.Lets start with the dancing—it was an absolute blast! As soon as we stepped onto the dance floor, we were swept away by the infectious beats and the vibrant atmosphere. The music was a perfect mix of chart-toppers and crowd favorites, expertly curated to keep the energy high and the dance floor alive. The DJ knew just how to read the crowd and deliver an unforgettable soundtrack for the night. What made the experience even better was the warm welcome we received from the bouncers. They were friendly, professional, and made us feel like VIPs from the moment we arrived. Their efficiency and attentiveness ensured a smooth entry, allowing us to dive right into the excitement without any delays or hassle. It was refreshing to encounter such welcoming staff who genuinely cared about creating a positive experience for their guests. The ambiance at Poppy added an extra layer of magic to the night. The venue was elegantly decorated with a touch of whimsy, transporting us to a dreamlike world as soon as we stepped through the doors. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect, from the stylish furniture to the mesmerizing lighting that enhanced the overall atmosphere. Poppys unique and enchanting décor truly set it apart from other nightlife spots in Los Angeles. The staff at Poppy deserve high praise for their outstanding service. The bartenders skillfully crafted delicious cocktails, adding to the overall enjoyment of the night. The waitstaff at the tables were attentive and courteous, ensuring that we had everything we needed to make our evening as enjoyable as possible. Their commitment to providing exceptional hospitality truly made us feel like valued guests throughout our time at Poppy. In conclusion, Poppy in Los Angeles is an absolute gem for those seeking an electrifying night out. With its lively dance floor, impeccable music selection, and friendly bouncers who make you feel like part of the family, this venue is a haven for those who love to dance the night away. The extraordinary atmosphere and outstanding hospitality combine to create an experience that will leave you with memories to cherish for years to come.
If you are an ally, a person of color, or a decent person, DO NOT COME HERE.Should have checked the reviews first. This establishment thinks they’re much better than they are. Rude staff with a penchant for power tripping who consistently search for the skinny white girls (no hate to them) to push them forward.I had someone who wasn’t even a bouncer scream in my face. When quietly asked to please quiet down, I was told I was being aggressive (angry dark girl stereotype much?). I waited for my promoter (because you can’t get in for a decent price without one!) and I was screamed, pushed at, and cursed to get away. Yes, sure, tell a half-clothed young girl to wander the streets of LA instead of waiting for her friends. Nice job.I wanna watch out for my fellow WOC. You do not belong here. You will not be valued here. Bring your business and lovely selves elsewhere.
Breh..... I have this habit of standing outside clubs before entering just to study the vibe. SHIEEEEEEE my man I ran for the hills on minute 0:48. Been a minute since I see a high concentration of college oddballs, high pitched tiffanys, wannabe hip hop artists, drug dealers, and tv producers with 18 year olds...in one single place.
Honestly, don’t waste your time here. I was invited here by promoters last night for my birthday, just to be told directly I would not be getting in by the bouncer, Robbie. Now I’m a bigger girl, and I could tell it was directly because of that. But honestly, don’t waste your time here. After seeing the reviews, I should have looked it up first, but I was invited.
Horrendous assortment of gen z goons, gooners and groomers poppin bottles on Poppys dime cuz they promoted (lazily brought in a buncha sleepy-eyed chicks that dont move from their table clearly just there for free drinks and bogus eyecandy). Place seems emptier and emptier everytime I go. Whoever markets this place has got to go. You need a better crowd up in this place e ngl. Get rid of the scum kids screaming and lookin awkward af, get some better peeps in here fr.
Worst club of my life!!!To avoid !Unbelievably missed New Years Eve party.200€ entry3 hours of waiting to be served at the table, he moves us twice on the pretext that the table has been reserved, in the end no one took the table.50% tax + tip, to be served at midnight and a club closing at 2am.the sound of the DJ cuts in the middle of the evening several times, a single bartender to serve the whole club, its unheard of.
SO bad. The staff is rude and snobby, even though the “celebrities” that go here are actually irrelevant influencers. Everything is violently overpriced, and the atmosphere is terrible. The “DJ” was just some kid playing songs from 2016. Paid $25 for a rum (Bacardí) and coke. A bottle of Bacardí costs $11. I don’t even buy $11 liquor but this so-called upscale place serves it and charges more than double the price of the whole bottle. Absolutely ridiculous and embarrassing. Hopefully this reviews helps other people not be fooled by this scam of a “nightclub”. You’re gonna drink bottom of the barrel liquor, and see a bunch of desperate people. I guess they have to overcharge so they can pay a few celebrities to show up, since no one famous would actually step foot in this embarrassment for free.
WORST CLUB EVER. we never even got in on nye for a ticketed event that we bought tickets for WEEKS AGO. Bouncer and other people that worked there were soo rude, bouncer even shoved my friend to the side when we were trying to ask for info about our tickets. Horrible service and no respect whatsoever. Trash place. GET YOUR MONEY BACK.
Pretty/cool club, but sadly had my card compromised here by none other than the bartender himself, unless I can be provided with a better explanation by the staff since they were the only people who had access to my card all night. As soon as my friend and I got there around 10:30pm (fully sober), we went to the bar to purchase a single drink before heading to our other friend’s table that had just began ordering bottles. I ordered my drink, stood at the bar waiting (there was nobody next to me besides my friend, it wasn’t crowded at all yet), and got my drink relatively quickly. I then got my card back, signed, put it in my wallet/purse, and never took it out again the entire night since we had bottle service. Interestingly enough, the next day I wake up to over $600 in charges to Costco/Instacart, and the only person who handled my card the entire night was the bartender. Sad to have such a poor experience my first time here, I’d hate to think of what might happen to others purchasing drinks at the bar once it gets more crowded or if they are intoxicated in any form.
Literally you would have thought the President of the United States was inside Poppy the way Robbie (the douche lord DOOR GUY) was picking and choosing who came in. If you are planning on coming here with your friends bc a promoter “invited” you, be advised this doesn’t mean you will get in. It means stand in front of the club for Snobbie Robbie to let in who he thinks is attractive. Also he is racist…the African American girls behind me literally told each other “oh he doesn’t let black girl in” and they left.
Rude security and workers. Just very unorganized.
First time in LA and found this place on google, tried to go for some late night drinks with my boyfriend and the security outside told us that we needed a promoter or to be invited ?!! LOL. What kind of high horse is this puny little club on? When I tell you I CACKLED. And then looked at these reviews….2.7 stars YIKES 🤮 and the fact that there was a line….of people waiting to get into an establishment that isn’t accepting of everyone. Lololol. I turned around and got my car back from VALET THAT I ALREADY PAID $30 for and left. Didn’t get my valet money back, either. Disgusting.
I have been to many places around the world and this is by far the worst club I have ever been to in my entire life...the bartender fraudulently charged my credit card $1564.48. Faked a signature on the receipt.Disclaimer, I have never felt the need to write a review before but in this case I felt it was valid to help warn future guests...Anyways, heres the story and photo of receipt:Back in Sept, I went with a few friends and asked to get a table with bottle service. They ended up putting us at the bar.... no table, no area, just a little section at the corner at the bar with a min of $1000 spending. The bartender then proceeded to laugh at us when I asked to be placed at an actual table. After seeing this disrespectful customer service, we asked to get our card back and that we did not want to be placed here. They told us that we had to leave and we were okay with that. The bartender confirmed that we would not be charged and gave us our card back with a receipt that had a $0 balance. However, a month later when I was looking at my statement, there was a charge from Poppy for $1564.48 on my account.So... I ended up calling American Express and they contacted Poppy for us. Poppy replied back with a scanned copy of a receipt charged to our card with no items listed and a signature that resembled nothing like ours. Not even close, just a hasty attempt to make some sort of generic signature. The staff at Poppy charged my card after we left and made a FAKE Signature on the receipt..... This is extremely illegal and I will be taking legal action towards this establishment and the server Avery who is on the receipt.Highly recommend anyone to avoid this place at all costs...literally. There are so many better places in LA and you will have a much better time not going here.Thank you and hopefully I save someone else from being ripped off here.
WORST club in the state lol ALL the staff need a serious reality check. Not only is this place extremely discriminatory, but staff has literally been caught and admitted to drugging customers. oh and when the venue became aware the did literally nothing. Do yourself a favor and dont get within 10ft of this place. youll thank me later.
Came to LA on vacation and went to Poppy. My phone got stolen from my bag whilst it was on my arm. Tracked it on Find My to a phone shop in Mexico. Clearly an organised crime group- reflects the type of people the bouncers let in. Would not recommend at all.
Went a week ago. This is the most racist establisment in LA. I personally seen the bouncers saying no black girls. And Robbie and the other promoters confirmed it! They only will let you in if you have fair skin. Its just disgusting. They pretend they are not racist but you will go in and feel the energy and tension in how they even communicate they want our money and famous Black artists to do appearances but they are disrespectful to the women and the men . So many people are aware of this issue and I experienced it first hand. I would never spend $1 here.
I was the only asian out of a group of 5 with promoters. Being the only asian with 4 blondes they refused to let me in. The promoter tried to come back out to get me and the bouncer told him no. I also asked another of group people to go in with them (another promoter) and the bouncer(tall white guy with long hair) said i couldnt go in because he knows Im not with them.Sorry you were jealous that my outfit costed more than your life. I have never ever experienced at any club even in the south or in any country it is just absurd.
Had an awful experience here. Went with a few friends and the bouncers were racist and fatphobic, picking out from the group who couldn’t get in. Don’t have words in my vocabulary to describe how nasty that is. Don’t waste your time + money.
Extremely disappointed!! They wouldnt Accept my New Zealand license , even when I said I have a photo of my passport they still rejected me. They were Extremely rude to me!!
I got physically assaulted /attacked by a man at Poppy and security didn’t do anything. A man screamed at me, cursed at me and attacked me physically to the point I was running out of the club crying and shaking and he was running after me trying to hit me. The security? One nice bouncer stopped him and gave me space the escape. The rest ignored me and watched me cry and defended the man because I was on “his table” and it gives him a excuse to do that to me. So they let him back in but not me. I was to scared for my own safety to go back in anyway. By the way I’m a woman.
I am digusted in now the doorman/bouncer at this club treated minortities. People will say don’t pull the race card but how is it a race card when you see it first hand. One of my friends is a promoter there which he could get us in but if you are a minority and don’t like Ashanti or Beyoncé they will not let you in. He said to dress dressy in which we did that. I saw the bouncer letting all these white girls in with vans and converse. Which I am white and my best friend in which she was African American. The man at the door his name was Robby. I talked to several people that live there in which I know and they all said they avoid each club he is working at because they can’t stand him because he has his certain “crowd”. I get this is LA but also just because you are a minority doesn’t mean you will look like Beyoncé and Ashanti. I would advise to tell Robby to quit being this way to people because eventually you’ll lose business. Also Robby needs to remember that most of the celebrities who host parties in LA are African American and that’s how you are getting your business. I am just disgusted in what I saw.
Poppy Nightclub represents the worst of LA. It’s pretentious, self important, and discriminates against older moms. I guess we give their pretentious, self important self a bad rep—because, after all—who wants to see someone like their mother at a “hip and trendy” LA club? Well, my 25-year-old daughter and her friends did because they invited me to join them to go to Poppy on my visit to LA this week. They were mortified to be told that they couldn’t be admitted because they had a “mom” with them. I felt humiliated and told these young women to rise up against discrimination of any woman, regardless of age, color, or anything else. Shame on you Poppy people. Word travels fast. Your own mothers should be ashamed of you. Anyway, we had a great time at the Argyle club. So I’d say go there instead.
The best thing about this lounge is BEN 🥰!
If you had a violent interaction at poppy night club please file a complaint with LA Civil rights and the state. Please do it within a year. Email me if you need support @ entertainersunite @ gmail DOT com
You have to know a promoter to get in and even then they can have in house issues with a promoter and cut them off of letting people in.The staff is extremely rude to people in the front. They don’t ever tell anyone there is no actual line they just stand there staring at everyone and people eventually go away. It was of the worst line experiences I have ever had.
40 dollars just to enter this small place and you can’t even dance? Make a favor for yourself and have fun in another place. You will not find it in Poppy.
Honestly this venue is super rustic and artistic but the service was adequate at best, i spent a good amount of capital just to get a table and we were left in the back and told we had to share a table with another group. Mixed information from security as to what was allowed and what wasnt just lack.of professionalism, if this is what los angeles nightlife is like id rather stay in.
Great decor and fun, fresh vibe. We arrived for a red carpet event and this venue definitely did not disappoint. Great drinks, atmosphere and several up-and-coming celebs. Great evening
If this is the standard of a LA night club then it’s far below the ones in Europe. Some bouncers are unfriendly, aggressive and like to take cash. Not worth to spend a penny
This is the worst place you can be at and believe all the reviews i wish I checked the reviews before coming yesterday i lost my phone someone took my phone from my bag and there is someone who was very close to me and trying to hit on me and I thought he might took my phone so I check him they kicked me alot its not a safe place to be its very toxic and dangerous dont go there
Bouncer said minimum charge for men was getting a $2k bottle on a Thursday night
Super small, overly crowded. People that come here are awful too. There’s a “Im better than you” vibe going on and no one is friendly, not the staff, not the people... I had an awful experience and don’t recommend it
If I could leave zero stars I would my mom was visiting from out of town my friend knew someone who worked at this club that said he already had bottle service set up and to ask for “Robby” we got to the night club and then we’re texted by the guy how supposively had the bottle service set up we couldn’t come in because we had my mom with me I think that you are disgusting human beings and I think it’s so sad that there is still hateful discriminating people like you in this world and I hope you get exposed for the horrible people you are and tbh my mom looks better than most of the people you even let in there we then went to mother club the argyle and got invited to a a lot of different tables with bottle service and ended up with the nicest table the club had and my mom was the life of the party so it worked out for the best if I wouldn’t want to go to a club that discriminates against peoples mothers anyway I don’t think anyone would want there mom to be treated this badly I hope you get the karma you deserve 💁♀️
Subpar atmosphere and people. Small , unappealing club and im not sure what the promoters are thinking- trying to act like its a privilege to be let in , oh please 😂
This place is just horrible, a promoteur invited my friends and I 2 nights in a row and we were not able to get in. I don’t recommend if you’re black.
If youre not white you are not getting in. If youre fat you are also not getting in. Do with that info as you will.
If you go here, you are a very sad person. So sorry you are here. It will get better anywhere else.
I haven’t been here but I just read the reviews smh Wooooow I guess going for Super Bowl weekend is a no go, definitely turned off by this place…terrible, terrible review.
This is one place you dont want to go. They are so full of themselves and they aint all that. Just to get in, is a big deal. Please take your money elsewhere and enjoy.
Wasnt impressed the bouncers are stuck up and all the women that come here are plastic upu know the type 😂
Horrible door guy. very racist… dont waste ur time or your money
If you can get in (it is LA) be prepared for a great nightclub experience surrounded by ballers, models and celebs.
The bartenders are rude and one in particular was racist. He kept on skipping me on purpose for no reason. This form of racism has never happened to me anywhere.
Someones expense account/its awards season lets try it/someones guest list type of place. Fun, but could also see it being odious on the wrong night
Probably the worst club to go out in LA! Robby - you are a terrible person! When will he get fired?
Worst experience ever. Do not come here unless you want to be racially profiled.
Worst ever !they got the wrong one this timei will see you in court
If youre not on a list, dont come here. if you dont want to waste your time, stay home. if you dont need to come here, go somewhere else.
It was great on Friday nightAwesome music good vibesI like the decoration on the wall and ceiling
Think 10 times before going here especially if you a tourist!!! The staff is horrible and stuck up!!
Filthy place. Charge to get in. Musty. Bouncers are hustlin.
Cool spot for a Wednesday night out tons of celebrities cool fashion and hip place
Close this place down. They don’t deserve anyones hard earned money.
Kkk handles admission, awesome in california
Racist door staff and a joke to deal with. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME
Slow ( their computers are from the 90’s) and rude bartenders. Mediocre sound system.
Loud and crowded. Decor is nice but too dark to really appreciate.
Reservation only? Be careful of this option if you are traveling from out of town.
The bartender looked at me and said no Nager is allowed
This place was terrible. Im not even going to spend time and explain why. They are just not worth my time....
If i could give 0 stars i would. this club is tacky and a waste of time
Recommend by Chanel West Coast and other dullards. Always a magical experience
Place is nicely setup, but the staff is extremely rude and condescending.
I ordered water 💧 🙃 they charged 50.00$
Worst club I have ever been to, dont waste your time
Poppy is great, easily my favorite place to go on a Monday.
Hmm somebody should of told Jamie foxx about this place
The reality was that The Flamingo Club was not how they described themselves online.
Horrible and expensive drinks. equally bad staff.
Will not let you in if you are a person of color

Place to have a drink in West Hollywood in a secluded atmosphere and with very careful decoration. Price of a standard beer $9.
Good
