Massage Green SPA

I have been to other Massage Greens by my house in Troy, but when visiting a friend in Westland we tired this location out. The spa is beautiful, very friendly staff. The location is new so everything is new and shiny, looks amazing. They even has the new sauna massages, which I cant wait to try when I go back. I received a deep tissue massage from Leslie. She was amazing!! She was very nice and professional. I told her I had some pain from bowling a few weeks prior, and then she went to town on my shoulders and lower back. Really worked those sore muscles out, it not only felt amazing but the pain I had been experiencing went away. She advised me to ice my muscles after the massage which I did when I got home. The next day all the pain I had was completely gone and I felt like a new person. Thank you Leslie I will be back to see you again!

I just left Massage Green. I was looking forward to a much needed, relaxing experience. It was cold in the building, like they were afraid to turn on the heat. I thought that once I was in the back room, it would feel much warmer. No! The room was cold. The massage table was cold. Yeah, Its December 3rd. However, Ive have gotten massage each year around this time for the past 4 years and I have never experienced a cold massage. She told me that the heated table was on, however, I did not feel it at all. I asked her to turn it up, still nothing. I knew it wouldnt be Elizabeth Arden, but I was expecting a sub-par massage. This was thee worst massage I have gotten, EVER! The blanket and sheets that they use are very low quality, almost scratchy. Her technique was okay, but it was not enjoyable because her hands were even cold. The oil wasnt warm either. She used heated wet towels. Which only stayed heated for a few moments. But the draft in the room mixed with the wetness from the towel made it even more uncomfortable. At one point during the massage, she asked that I take in deep breaths as the heated wet towel, that smell of peppermint, (which I liked), was on my face. But she was standing over me, and as I was breathing in, she was breathing out and I was inhaling her breath. (not cute). Therefore I held my breath the entire time. After the massage, I was given a small plastic cup of tap water.... tap water... Not lemon water, cucumber water, filtered water, bottled water, just a small plastic cup of tap water. There was no retreat room, no robs and slippers, no tea offered, just a cold building, cold room, cold table, and a small plastic cup of tap water. I was offered a first time rate of $29.95, but the regular massages are 69.95. Yeeah, I wont be returning.

NEVER PICK UP CALLS!!!I like their massages, But NEVER pick up calls. One day I was at gas station right in front of the Massage green and Spa , Westland and called them 2 or 3 times didnt pick up so I went directly at reception to book an appointment. I saw there were two receptionist sitting at reception busy in talking and completely ignoring incoming calls. I was like SERIOUSLY!!!I hope they will improve their system!

My daughters got me a gift card and I had a major life change this week so thought I would use my gift card to feel better, closest one was hour away in Westland and then I got a ticket on the way there so I was very stressed when I arrived. My massage therapist was named Adrian and she was Wonderful! She made me forget my stress and I left feeling completely relaxed and then afterwards she waited for me outside the room with water when we were done. She definitely knew what she was doing and was very friendly and did not talk during massage which I liked also. Was a Great experience and would absolutely recommend her.

Dont go here....they scheduled me and my boyfriend for a couples massage and then had to reschedule because one of the girls was sick...they let me know the day before. I asked if there was a different person i could be with and they said our massage therapists are all booked sorry.....we had been planning the whole week and so excited about our massage and i would not recommend this place AT ALL. Poor planning and poor customer service.Also when the receptionist called to reschedule, she was laughing and said i am so sorry but we had to cancel your appointment....seriously? Someone needs to teach these girls good customer service. You dont laugh as your telling a patient sorry we cant do the massage you and your boyfriend were so excited to get and have been talking about all week. I will not be returning ever again.

I have been to many massage places before and none of them were as great as this place. It was my first visit today and I saw leslie!!!! This amazing massage therapist helped me with all my back pain so much that I joined the membership!!!! I loved the staff! They were all so lovely and helpful especially madison in the front! If you havent been here yet you are missing out!!!

I received a massage as a gift. All that was on the receipt was a payment and a written time. I called and was given the worst attitude ever telling me that I could not reschedule or cancel on the same day. It would be nice for them to inform people of the rules on the receipt. I have never been there nor was I aware of any cancellation rules. I was given this as a present. I would like to say good things but the rude reply I was given from Jessica on the phone makes me not even want to step in the door.

The establishment is clean and desk staff are great. My deep tissue ( rite...) massage was a horrible joke! The masseuse complained about the place the whole time and how bad the management is there. He even gave me a business card for his new massage place when I left. Said it was a real business. I couldnt believe an employee had the nerve to promote HIS own business, it was so unsettling! It was just a terrible experience all the way around, I left with my shoulders still hurting.

Ive been going to this location for over a year now. Ive gone to Adrienne and she is/was amazing. The massages helped me out during and after my pregnancy. Ill continue to get massages there.

Place is a little ran down but staff seems to be friendly and professional. I love the sauna but you can tell by the tape thats holding the floor together and the warp door frame that its past its hay-day.If youre not looking for a real specialty massage then this place will do. Dont go expecting a deep tissue massage. Youll find like I did that theyll gloss over areas. In other words, the massage felt like they were practicing a set routine for the allotted time. Even when I pointed out areas that need attention Im never relaxed.

WORST massage I ever had . All she did was lay hot towels on me and rock back and forth for the majority of it. When she was massaging all she was doing was rubbing her palms and elbows on my boney landmarks (like my spine, collar bone, and hip bones) which is super painful. On top of that, the Marlboro princess just had a cigarette and did nothing about the smell on her breath, clothes, or hands. The room smelled like an Ash tray and I left smelling like I spent my day at the casino. So disappointed and I will not be back .

I came in a week early and made appointments for my husband and I. I paid in advance his was at 10AM mine was at 10:30am. My husband was for an hour and a half mine was for an hour. So we could leave out at the same time. Get here and was told my appointment is at 11:30 am with the same person. When I say a very inconvenience. No same day cancelation and we have plans afterwards. And for me to cancel I would be charged the full amount for a mistake on their end. And its just like ok we got our money so you can stay or leave.. when I say beyond upset.

Clean facility friendly employees. Went in because i had knotts in my back... still had them when i left. Decent massage... but seemed like she avoided my area i circled as i needed work on. Got shoulders but not my back.

This place seems to be the WORST Ive been calling for 2 days to schedule an appt, no one has answered the phone yet! Ive called the Dearborn location and they answer the phone every time but the Groupon I purchase is for the Westland location because the Dearborn one was sold out.... I will probably be requesting a refund or trade from Groupon because this place sucks they cant even answer the phone...... how is this place still in business?

Nothing against the spa, but Massage Green airs commercials on TV offering a free 40-minute infrared treatment with the purchase of an hour massage gift card. Unfortunately, I was informed by the Westland Massage Green that the offer isnt good until days after the ad is shownRick

Superb experience! Very clean, cozy and welcoming. Chen did an awesome job, I felt like I got a brand new back after she was done! Will be coming back!

Clean and friendly. The ladies at the desk are very helpful, and the therapist are very friendly and knowledgeable. They really help take my pain away. Will be coming back.

My boyfriend and I went here today for a couples massage, and it was great! We both feel so refreshed and can’t wait to go back.

Massage was too hard. Sore for days. Talked to co-worker that knows someone who works there. Only one person has degree in massage therapy. The rest have certificate only.

Stood at the counter for about 10 minutes. No one in there. Can’t really tell you about services since I didn’t even get greeted. Lol. Maybe a doorbell or something could fix that idk or something to allow staff to know people have shown up to the establishment.

Had a couple massage done and it was very relaxing. It cost under 100 including tip. Cannot wait to go back again!
