The park around the lake is pleasant and inviting just like the cafe. Although the temperature outside was uncomfortable, I felt very relaxed in the cafe. The server was a polite gentleman who was very friendly. The cafe is a local hangout. Beginning with the stuffed mushrooms I was impressed by the flavor and texture. Presentation was excellent. The server brought out bread and oil with a fantastic spice mix I had never enjoyed before. It was really nice of him to do that. Looking at the wood fired oven I had to try the pizza. Amazing thin crust with fresh vegetables on it. Gotta try the draft brews for sure as they have a good selection. My favorite was the porter. So if you enjoy great food in a Cheers type setting then you definitely want to try the cafe.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Cafe Murano in Altamonte Springs is a true gem! Highly recommended for its delicious Italian food, inviting atmosphere, and exceptional customer service. Every dish is bursting with authentic flavors. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure a wonderful dining experience. Cant wait to return! 🍝🍷
Fast, friendly service. She even offered to bring my pup (service dog) water and treats. She had great recommendations. I got the salmon salad. So delicious! The setting is right by the lake, so great views. They do have a friendly kitty that sleeps on the patio. It added a touch of charm to the place. Would definitely eat here again.
Rob H was our server and he was absolutely fabulous. Quick service and very funny, recommended some good stuff and wow did he get my drink order right (I’m a little fussy). Really good atmosphere, food was so so good (Brussels sprouts. You have to try my goodness). We got the mushroom pizza and was so perfectly flavored. I well great experience and well be back
As soon as you walk into the restaurant, the atmosphere sells itself. The restaurant catches your attention while inside, almost making it feel like youre no longer in Florida. The restaurant typically only does reservations for the booths, while the high tops are first come first serve. Live music on the weekends if you go in the evening. We ordered the bread and oil with parmesan cheese, which was very good. I never thought parmesan cheese with oil would taste so well together. As for my entrée, I ordered the shrimp and scallops checca. This dish was phenomenal! Scallops are often hard to cook properly, and these were pan seared to perfection with a good sauce to go with it. I only wish there were a little more noodles with the serving.Recommend taking a visit to this restaurant in uptown Altamonte, happy dining 🙂
Me and my mother just went here for the first time and I must say it is absolutely spectacular, the outdoor seating has a wonderful view of the Cranes Roots park, our waitresses were extremely kind with outstanding service, and the food was to die for, 100% would recommend to others especially around noon-early afternoon🙏💕
The food was fresh, made from scratch, and delicious. We enjoyed several of the traditional dishes from the menu. The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere. There was a live band which was very enjoyable. The servers were friendly and attentive. Overall, the prices are reasonable, especially for the quality of the food.
I was curious of this location, the name caught my attention, and oh ,man what a great choice I made. The location Is beautiful inside, it has outside seating with a wonderful view to a small lake, the costumers services was top notch and the food was a delight. I was craving pasta Alfredo, and they freaking delivered a great dish. Freshly made and super delicious. Definitely will be coming back again.Oh, and the cherry on the top, for the cat lovers, there is a calico cat that rest outside. They let her/him take naps on the hot days and they feed him... I was please very please...
I was excited to know this place for a long time. The environment is amazing, very cozy and beautiful. The staff are friendly and very helpful. When the bread and olive oil came, the expectations were high, because it was amazing. Crispy and warm bread and the olive oil mixture delicious! Then I ate the meatballs, also very good and tasty. When I ate the mushrooms, boring! No salt, no taste, just bland. And a $17 dollars for five small mushrooms, they suppose to be amazing! Nope.I had the chicken pizzaiola, also boring. Why people forget the salt? And there were more tomatoes and onions than pasta.
Absolutely DELICIOUS! Surprised they had some sangria at all but it was very tasty. The pizza is hands down THE best. My lobster and crab ravioli exquisite. Risotto was cooked very well and had a bunch of flavor. Our server couldve done better but the food was definitely worth it. Will no doubt come back for more.
I went here for lunch with a friend. We sat outside as it was breezy even though it’s July! The menu seemed smaller than I remembered, but maybe it was a lunch menu. The server was awesome, super friendly, checked on us often but did not rush us. She kept our drinks full.I ordered the goat cheese salad with grilled chicken and it was delicious, but the portion was a bit small for the price ($19). They do serve bread and oil at every table, but I don’t eat bread and left a little hungry.I would eat there again, but it may not be my first choice.
We took a walk around the lake it was a pretty perfect evening. Food was excellent, waiter was amazing. I had my 3 and 5 year old with me and they enjoyed dancing to the live music. Would definitely recommend a visit here.
I went with a friend to celebrate my birthday. I checked out the menu before my arrival but I still had a hard time choosing from all of the wonderful sounding options. I ended up having the Smoked Sausage And Shrimp Risotto. It was so good! I paired it with the Mango Moscato. I was treated to a lovely Creme Brulee from the restaurant for dessert. After dinner, we enjoyed dancing to music from the band. It was a wonderful evening.
I had a really great time at this restaurant. I really liked the vibe, the live band was amazing and they played all the great Rock and roll classics. The food was also super delicious. We started with the capris salad and all the ingredients were very fresh. My entree was the shrimp and sausage risotto and it was so flavorful. I’m normally not the biggest fan of goat cheese but it complimented the spicy and smoked risotto so well. The service was also great. Our waiter answered all of our questions and gave us great suggestions and our food came out so quickly. I’ll definitely be sure to come back to this location again.
I am giving food and prices a 5 🌟🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 star. I am giving server a 1 🌟 star. First the food was pizza fantastic. I ordered the create your own, a 13inch with sausage, meatballs, mushrooms and onion. It was a little shy mushrooms and onions. However it was very tasty and cooked perfectly. Even reheated great when I got home. The wine was reasonably priced. The server Debbie needs to find another job she is happy with. Nobody wants to stop in for a quick glass of wine after a day of work and have grouchy service. She also cheated my two friends on their bills. I paid with CC. One of their checks was (I think) $6.17, she only had one beer, she paid with a 20 and received 13 back. Same thing happened to my other friends check. This is stealing and padding your tip. Would have been ok if her attitude and personality was more enjoyable.
First time eating here and you know what they say - first impression is everything. We walked in and I can honestly say it’s really clean, the bathrooms were very clean as well, really good vibes and atmosphere overall. The food was a TAD pricey but the quality was there so I’d say it’s worth it. What really topped my experience off was our server. Her name was Mikayla (not sure if spelled right) but she was off the chain. She was super friendly and very easy to talk to, gave good recommendations and knew the menu very well. We didn’t even know the name just showed her a picture and she knew exactly what it was. She also Didn’t bombard us but was VERY Attentive, made sure our drinks were kept full and our food was good and fresh. Overall 10/10 we would definitely return.Clean and friendly environment, great service and delicious food.
Had a great Sunday brunch experience here. Live music inside and very calm scenery outside on the patio. Bottomless mimosas were amazing. Tremendous thanks to our server Nick! His professionalism, attentiveness, and showmanship was extraordinary and an excellent compliment to the great food! This location is great because having the option to take a stroll around Cranes Roost after a good meal is a plus.
I would give them a 1,000 stars if I could. We had a rehearsal dinner there in March 2024. The staff could not have been any more helpful. Trent went above and beyond to make sure everything was covered. His communication was prompt and he was polite and tolerant of my MANY emails. Server Rob made sure the evening ran smoothly and was so helpful in making sure everything was perfect. The food was plentiful and delicious. The night could not have gone better!
Very boring food but the service was great and the restaurant is nice. I got the stuffed dates as an appetizer, shrimp and lobster ravioli for my entree, and the tiramisu for dessert. None of it was bad but it definitely tasted “canned” for lack of a better word. Boring. Adequate. Just not memorable at all and I wouldn’t go back based on my first visit.
Loved loved loved the food! We were in the area and we found this hidden gem. You can tell is a traditional old school place but the flavor and service are AMAZING! My son is a picky eater and he loved his dish. Try the risotto and the rolatini. You wont regret itComing back for sure!
Whenever Im in Altamonte I always visit/eat here. The negative vibe from bartenders and the owner/manager oblivious of what was occuring, I decided to move on after one drink. Ill be back to try again because the food is always so good!
I had my baby shower there over the weekend and the service was amazing! The 2 gentleman were attentive to all the guests and made the day memorable! The food was exceptional as well. If you are needing to host an event definitely consider Cafe Murano! Trent also made the process of booking and catering the food easy. Thanks to the entire team!
From start to finish my experience was Top Notch. Trent stopped by my table and made sure everything was going well. I was highly impressed with the staff. They were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming back soon. 10/10 would highly recommend
Cafe Murano is an absolute gem, ideal for date nights, celebrations, gatherings with friends, dinners with loved ones, and corporate events. Food wasn’t bad my wife and I had dinner at Cafe Murano in Altamonte Springs Florida on July 3rd 2024. Due to the a fireworks show in font of the restaurant resulting in large crowds of people. The restaurant Chargers five dollars for standing room only by the bar area and use of the restroom. We asked the hostess if we had to pay the five dollars if we’re dining in she said no. After having dinner we got the check and found a $80.00 dollar seating charge. We asked the waiter why the outrageous extra charge. He told due to the holiday is $10.00 dollar seating for one hour and $40.00 over a hour. We told waiter the hostess did not inform us of that extra charge. The waiter said he would talk to the manager. Who replied they should’ve known. We were in disbelief on the manger’s discourteous reply. The check was paid and we left the restaurant. We read some reviews after the fact and found that Cafe Murano has some management problems. Take it for what it’s worth beware of hidden charges and discourages management.
I feel it’s important for people to know the kind of establishment they are patronizing.Majority of the front of the house is always drunk or high management included, so it is tolerated by them for the staff to drink as well. They do not pay overtime when scheduled over 40 hours. the bar is filthy as they were SHUT DOWN by the health department for an infestation of roaches. This is not coming from a disgruntled employee- these are facts about this business and people should know how terrible they treat their staff how everyone is overworked and underpaid
Service gets five shining stars- Savanna did an amazing job. Extremely knowledgeable of the menu, friendly, quick and courteous. Food, while the presentation was great, I was not very excited about the taste. The dates were too sweet - the goat cheese flavor and the coppa flavor(or was it a different meat selection?) were lost in the date. I seek a little better balance. The crab/lobster ravioli was delicious. The Dutch Lace martini was on the bitter side, again not a good balance. The have a small but good wine selection. The outdoor seating is lovely, especially at night. I would visit again.
Was at the nearby park in 96° weather and ran out of water for me and my dog. I stopped in to ask if they would be willing to give me some tapwater with some ice. They offered to sell me a bottle of water. It was in the middle of the The day and there wasn’t a single person eating at the restaurant. very disappointed!! with the lack of compassion and customer service. while I was not planning to eat there that day I had looked over their menu and was very interested in dining there at some point. This experience has made me think twice about that. I will say the hostess was nice, but didn’t accommodate my request. It is said that you can judge the character of someone by how they treat someone who can do nothing for them.I sincerely hope this is not the character of this restaurant and maybe just some thing that the hostess was not trained on. However, if this is standard practice to refuse someone as simple as something as Tapwater and ice on an extremely hot day than This is not an establishment that I am going to be doing business with nor is this an establishment I will recommend others to do business with as well. I sincerely hope I’m reached out to in this by the management of this restaurant and offered some sort of an apology. That would certainly go a long way to repairing a customer client relationship, which hadn’t even started before it was tarnished. That said, let me be very clear that I’m not expecting any kind of compensation in lieu of this incident. merely an apology and assurances that this is not standard company policy nor practice. Again, the hostess was very nice. And I do not in any way blame her for this.
Weve been here two times in the past 6 months for a date night. Its a wonderful experience if you get to sit outside. Service is top-notch and the nightly entertainment is great! Oddly enough, our food experiences here have not been amazing when it comes to pasta-based dishes (not bad by any means, just OK). The charcuterie board and steak salad were awesome.
We arrived around 7: 30 on a Friday and they were packed. We found a high top in the bar, and put our name on the list for the patio. We had drinks and pizza while we waited. It was excellent. The only downside was the changing colored lights made it difficult to read the menu. I know it is the bar, but they could have left the lights one color until the band started. Our server was very friendly and did a great job despite how busy it was. Prices were good, and the drinks were perfect. The atmosphere is very high end.We moved to the patio when our table was ready. Our new server was also very friendly and helpful. We had a beautiful view of the park, and enjoyed our meals and drinks. We will definitely be back!
Located in the heart of uptown Altamonte Springs, this lively bar and grill holds sophistication with flavor. Sunday brunch was cooked to perfection, creme brulee was a hit and miss ..... One of us got a very good dessert, while the other got an over cooked disaster. Overall, the service was great, food was alright and entertainment was amazing. Definitely will be back to taste the items they were out of.
Me and my husband have came here a few times and we have loved everything we’ve ordered so far!! Always good service and enjoy sitting outside if it’s not too hot. One of our go-to orders is actually the penne vodka! Seems plain in comparison to the rest of the menu but it’s always so flavorful! The chicken rollatini is as divine as it sounds and worth a try. This time we had their grouper special and i would order this every time if it was a staple on their menu. We have had their tiramisu, amazing and moist. The coconut cake dessert (can’t remember the exact name), is not too sweet and the perfect size to share after a fulfilling dinner!! We pick one restaurant a week to eat out at, and this is becoming our go-to!
This place has turned into a complete mess. You can’t even place a to go order properly. It’s Saturday night and they have someone still in training who doesn’t even know simple things in the menu. I was on hold for 3 min for her to ask a simple question that anyone should know just by remotely looking at the menu. This is the second time. Train your staff to at least just glance at the menu and somewhat know what’s on it. From seeing the reviews it sounds like bad management is at fault here.
Eggplant was yummy! Great experience from start to end. The bread was delicious! Our waiter Danny was wonderful. The outdoor seating was relaxing. Will most definitely return.
Great restaurant, ambience and service. Food is great. We had the Murano Salad and the Chicken Parmesan which I recommend very much. There were unlimited mimosas from 12 to 3pm on a Sunday which is a great deal. For dessert I recommend the cheesecake also order the tiramisu but it could be better. Overall was really please with the food and service
Took my girlfriend here on Valentines for our 1 year anniversary being together. The food was amazing! I got me the Alfredo with Chicken and it was very delicious! Couldnt stop eating the bread and oil! Good portion sizes! Waitresses were extremely friendly and the atmosphere was very nice. Will definitely come here again!
We need one of these near the Villages please. A group of us accidentally went there after furniture shopping last Wednesday. Atmosphere was fabulous, our server Tonja was so incredibly good and personable. Its an hour away from me but Ill b back. Did I mention the salmon was perfect?
We had a large group of 16 and were seated in an area that could accommodate us, however, the tables happened to be placed under the duct work where condensation dripped on the table and place settings. WE shifted our seating, but the waitress to whose attention we brought the issue, only agreed this was not optional and shouldnt happen. She offered to do nothing, not even mention it to the manager. As for the food, the appetizers were great and my chicken marsala was one of the best Ive had. The other house specialties others had were rated highly, too. Ambiance was nice with a live band that was very good. Time between ordering and receiving our meals was quite long and the meals for the 2 who ordered last didnt arrive until the others of us were half way through finishing ours. Overall with a group this large, the restaurant has to improve with the quality and timeliness of service and understand the hygienic/contamination implications of the dripping duct work.
This place was quite expensive for Italian food. However the food and service was very good. Even though I just got spaghetti and my hubs got the pizza it was good. They even offer half portions for the pasta section. My daughter ate ever bit of her ravioli which hardly happens. They serve you bread before the meal which was nice. They have a full bar and even a place to watch live music. Bathrooms could use some attention but I loved how they are full doors. Give it a shot ask for Dylan he was a great server. Dont get sticker shock. We will be back.
Great Italian food with fantastic sevice, but be ready for the price tag. Get the Stuffed Meatballs and Calamari for apetizers. The Chicken Parmesan is perfection - the breading on the chicken is crisp and light and the red sauce is full of flavor. You also cant go wrong with their penne vodka or fettuccine alfredo. Add grilled chicken to either for $7 extra. The atmosphere lost a star because of the loud reggae music. It didnt fit.
Great spot! First time I have been here. Had a Bourbon Barrell aged Cabernet that was pretty awesome! Bread and oil, very nicely done with seasoning and a splash of Balsamic. Great flavor. Got the Bianca Quattro pizza, it was awesome. Presentation, flavor, all spot on! Service was very good, attentive, and timely. Would highly recommend! Best to call ahead for reservations, especially for patio seating. Great views and hope that the wind is not kicked up! Will definitely be coming back! Brunch menu looks amazing, as a side note. Enjoy!
I had reserved a table for Saturday. After finding out the restaurant had 11 heath Code violations including Roach Infestation on December of 2023. I changed my mind and cancelled my reservation . Cleanliness is next to Godliness. No Thank You
Cafe Murano made our Mothers Day brunch unforgettable! We lucked out with Caroline as our hostess, who graciously found us a table despite not having a reservation.Erica was an absolute gem, keeping the bottomless mimosas flowing and even hooking up the kids with chocolate syrup for their waffles and french toast (shh... secret menu). The food was simply divine: my wife still raves about her eggplant al forno, and my steak and eggs were cooked to perfection. After our delicious meal, a leisurely stroll around Cranes Roost Park, adjacent to the restaurant, was the perfect way to continue our special day.Cafe Murano is a stellar brunch spot – highly recommend!
Updating the previous review and bumping Cafe Murano up to a solid 4.5 stars due our server, Danny, and the food. We never have tried their pizzas before and the bianca pie is calling us back to try some more. The Roman panini was packed with flavor and goodness. We also enjoyed the Lobster, Crab and Mushroom ravioli as well as the Stuffed Mushroom appetizer. And, back to Danny our server, we know hes taken good care of us before but, when he got wind of our birthday celebration he really went above and beyond to make it spectacular. Thanks Danny, well be back for sure.
The food is excellent. We were a family of 10 and Ryan was a fantastic waiter. He was attentive and always made sure we had everything we needed. Everything we ordered was delicious!
The grouper was amazing. The pizza was delicious. They even prepared chicken with no seasoning for our dog. Definitely going back soon!
Great place to eat after shopping at the Altamonte Spring mall. I ordered spaghetti. It was good. The outside seating is great since it is next to a lake which give the best views of the restaurant. The service was good, but it was obvious the waitress kept removing the mask and putting it back when he was coming back to the table. In one occasion he came back and was not wearing it. Thats lack of hygiene. Other than that, the rest was good.
Came here Sunday for Easter brunch last min decision but they were able to accommodate our group of 4. Food was excellent bottom mimosas were a meal on its own. Our server Nick should run for president. He made our day. Can’t beat the view and vibes.
The food here is Amazing— but that’s the only positive thing I can say. The manager is HORRIBLE. He openly berates the staff — and even worse — his customers There was a large party that wanted to attend and watch their favorite band play. They were told they could reserve some tables . It was apparently a mistake by the new hostess — no fault to the customer—- and the manager, Trent went on a very loud and public tirade. The hostess of the party tried to oblige them not having a reservation— and instead started holding tables for over 60 guests. Cafe Murano is a small venue — and it was a very slow weekend in Orlando — due to a HUGE 4 day Rock Concert in Daytona. The servers refused to wait on anyone and , the manager Trent started making up rules — 5 people to a 4 person cocktail table. He was so horrible that the hostess of the 60 people— that were there to spend money on food and cocktails while watching their favorite band for hours— that he made her cry. WHAT type of MANAGER pitches a public fit and screams and curses at customers that want to spend money!?!?!?! Regardless of the food— I will NEVER attend this restaurant again. Since hearing of this event —- several people have commented on having similar situations. I had the same —- less cursing — a few years ago. To the manager — you’re in the service industry — your customers are your bread and butter. You may not care about me— I’m one person. But you can rest assure that you’ve LOST more than the 60 ppl that tried to attend a party at your venue. As I said — this isn’t the FIRST experience I’ve seen or heard about with you and your restaurant. Good luck
My experience here was nice. The server was attentive and professional, she did a great job with our party of 9. My pizza, which I had high hopes for and paid alot for, fell a bit flat, to flat. The toppings were good, but the dough was so thin and it was slightly undercooked, so it was very soggy. I ended up pulling off the toppings and eating it with the outer crust. Other items such as the stuffed dates were really good, fresh bread. Live music was fun, quite loud. I might give them another try.
Let me start by saying that this actually deserves a -5 star rating waitress was so Disrespectful and no one there seem to know what was going on. I spoke with many staff members and getting way to many different answers. Completely unprofessional. I am going to make it a well known mission to let everyone know how this place is until they are forced to restart or close. Boycott this place at all cost !
Danny handled our larger table today for mothers day today with finesse. He also had most of the back, out door porch as well. Great food and experience. Ask for Danny!
I have been coming to Cafe Murano for years and have ALWAYS had a wonderful experience! I love sitting outside on a nice day overlooking the water. The food is delicious, the staff VERY FRIENDLY and a great happy hour deal! 🍷The BEST part of the experience and what keeps me coming back time and time again (besides the great staff) is the resident cat, lovingly named Smores, who sometimes hangs out on the porch for a little nap. Smores is well taken care of and wont bother a soul but I try to sneak a few pets from the sweet baby. ❤️
Top notch restaurant & bar! We chose the Shaved Ribeye Cheesesteak with all the toppings & it was fabulous. Being from Philadelphia, its hard to find anything close to our subs but this one is definitely worth it! Also tried the Wild Mushroom 9 Pizza & the flavor was on point. Finished with Creme Brulee dessert & it was perfect & a bigger size than most restaurants. To wash it all down, we tried Wedding Crasher Brown Ale from a Kentucky brewery which was flavorful & enhanced by our meal choices.
Im a disabled ...... Service was ok. Food was acceptable. However I was cut off after 2 drinks. I ordered food. And was never approached by management.However..... Management deemed I shouldnt have any more drinks..... This is unacceptable. Do Not Go To Mauranos. They should st least ast speak to you before they cut anyone off. Horrible customer service. I will never come back. 😡👎
The food was delicious and the waiter was outrageous! Quick to give suggestions and they were amazing! Their house chicken with capers was the best I have ever had!
All of the food is so delicious, so good in fact that I can never decide what I want to eat - to solve my dilemma I just order a little bit of everything. My favorite time to come is for brunch on Sundays I can have a taste of everything, some mimosas and enjoy family time while outside. The experience is even better when Colton is your server he was so polite and on top of everything from start to end. Thank you!!
Great view and lovely outdoor seating. I recognize it is an Italian place, so the fault is partially my own but the gluten free pizza was very disappointing. This was the gluten free prosciutto pizza. Arguably a cracker with an aggressive amount of oregano and a salad on top. The chicken scarpariello was unexpectedly spicy, both the sausage and peppers were much hotter than expected. However the shrimp farnese was very good. Stick with that.
We came from Apopka to their Altamonte Springs location at crane’s roost and very much enjoyed the pizza and beer. The staff is super fun and very knowledgeable about the best type of local drinks to have. I was very happy with the results! We will definitely be back for more business meetings with our staff.
I want to start my review by saying I normally critique restaurant based on their food and atmosphere, but this one is strictly based on the service. Me and my wife who are African Americans had an 8:00 reservation it was Valentine Day, when we arrived we were greeted by Young Caucasian woman who welcomed us and started to lead us to our seats, we noticed that she was taking us outside we stopped the young lady and said we didnt request an outside booth we would like to be seated inside, she said to us she didnt have anything available at the moment maybe we could try the bar, Im looking around the restaurant where there are at least 10 to 15 empty booth so I said to the young lady we want to be seated inside she said she has to go talk to her manager, as were standing there I start talking to a server who just happens to be African-American and Im telling him how she wants to seat us outside and we want to be seated inside, he says I dont know why my section is totally empty and he points to his section and hes right his section is empty, and around that time another hostess not the one that tried to seat us outside came and seated us in the section that was empty, in spite of how it started we had a wonderful night
Terrific HAPPY hour with half price drinks !Excellent food !Outdoor seating with lake views !Indoor seating with lake views!Live entertainment on weekends in the loungeFriendly staff and friendly customers.Experienced wait staff.Beautiful interior decorAmple Free parkingResturant is next Altamont shopping mallNORBERT TUSEO
Hidden next to the Altamonte mall, this restaurant is absolutely amazing. From shareable meals to large entrees, there’s something for every occasion. My partner and I enjoy Cafe Murano for date nights because of the incredible view and lovely service the employees give. There’s even a cute cat that likes to say hello on the porch! This is a place I recommend to bring friends and family to from out of town, it will not disappoint.
FATHERS DAY DINNER WAS AMAZING WITH THE HELP OF THE (GM) VICTOR G. 🥰HE SEATED US INSIDE ON A 🔥 DAY INSTEAD OUTSIDE BECAUSE THE HOSTESSES SAID THERE WAS NO MORE SITTING FOR INSIDE🤔 THANKS TO THE GM FOR MAKING MY FAMILY HAPPY AND WELL BE BACK!
Delicious! Met a friend here for a nice dinner. Drinks were tasty and the food was amazing! Definitely check it out if in the altamonte springs area. Only thing I would say that was a bit odd was the atmosphere.. it was a mix between a nicer Italian restaurant and a sports bar/club. I didn’t mind it, just thought it was a bit in between and wanted to make note of it
Saturday night has live music. Thats nice but i go there for a quiet place. Music is way too loud. On the other hand the waitstaff is beyond awesome. The view is nice. I love the darker lighting after 8 pm and the best part the food and deserts are perfect! 100% reccommend the veal picata. The stuffed dates.. the creamy italian salad dressing and the lasagna roma..too finish off perfection choose the limoncello cake..
Our host Chris was very knowledgeable and gave us great recommendations for what to get! Out serve was super sweet and took care of our table very well. The food and dessert was amazing, if you like dark chocolate definitely get the brownie!
The only restaurant around the lake at Cranes Roost. Place has great outdoor seating overlooking the lake. Parking can be tricky but a few spots on the back side of the Altamonte Mall movie theater do the trick. Food is consistent and a large bar inside if you prefer. All your Italian favorites on the menu. Take a nice stroll (2,500 steps) around the lake when youre done eating.
Management was cursing all night. I realize 4th of July is stressful but that was the worst interaction I ever had. He approached me out of nowhere and asked me if I was 14, because he thought my wristband was the wrong color. We go there every year but this is my last time I will go there.
This place holds a special place in my heart. The food is consistently delightful, and the limoncello never fails to be the highlight of my experience. I cant wait for my next taste of their exquisite limoncello.
Had an amazing birthday 🎂 brunch here! Mikayla was our server; she was very attentive and will definitely be back!
Went here for brunch. Food was great and the bottomless mimosas were even better! Service was top tier. Shout out to Nick, he was the best server!
This place is really only worth it for Happy Hour IMO. The food is just okay and a little pricey. Service is always top notch though and sitting on the patio is awesome!
We had salads with chicken. Everything was very fresh, and the chicken was grilled to perfection. Excellent flavor and appearance. Fresh bread with olive oil and spices just like a real French restaurant. Cloudy Bay wine topped our meal off. It was too much to eat, so we took leftovers home. Service could not have been better. It was early Sunday evening with a limited crowd, so I only gave 4 stars.
Why you close at 11:00 pm on Saturdays and Friday Night ?????? horrible, Nice place but they Close too early!!!!! It’s like I don’t feel like going there because the doors are about to close when you are getting ready to Enjoy the evening!!!
Brunch for a party of 8, we had reservations and was seated right away. Our server was courteous and attentive. The food was delicious, and great portions too.
I have been living in the area for many years and experienced the Italian food here just recently in the last year. Mostly because people tell me I’m an excellent Italian cook, so that makes me very critical. First thing I tried here was the Shrimp Farnese which is Shitake mushroom with linguine. Picture included.Excellent!!! Meatballs and the sauce is excellent. Chicken Marcella excellent. Keep going back to try new dishes. Service is great,on weekends they have live bands, that are quite good.Outdoor seating is beautiful over looking Cranes Roost a popular area. Must check this out.
Cafe Muranos is located in Uptown Altamonte. Nice place with pretty good food. We had the Chicken Marsala and the Chicken Parmesan and it was nicely seasoned and a good sized portion. The service was good! Within walking distance with great views of Cranes Roost. It’s great place to eat and enjoy a nice walk around the lake!
I came here on a slow night and was worries when I saw how there werent many people dining. To my surprise I got to enjoy the restaurant in its slower hour. It was a great experience and amazing food. I absolutely loved the crab & lobster ravioli. My friend enjoyed his steak as well.
Nice views and atmosphere. The waiter was a delight, food was great will be back!
Great spot tucked away in Cranes Roost park. Food was good and the prices werent unreasonable. Had stuffed meatballs and the fettuccine Alfredo, both were great. The menu has some other appealing choices and I dont doubt they taste just as good as what I had at Murano. Good vibes all around, well definitely be back.
My first time here and Ill definitely return! I sat outside and was greeted by a beautiful view and a very friendly cat who kept me company. The food was delicious, not too expensive, and my server Danny was very attentive and extremely kind. All around a great experience, I recommend the stuffed meatballs.
Waiter was so attentive and had great recommendations. Food was delicious. Highly recommend for those looking for delicious food in a non-stuffy environment.
Excellent service. We were a party of 9 and staff very attentive.
I heard the food is awful but I havent tried them . I heard they give you a little food for this big price. It is too expensive. I heard its not worth it. 1 of my friends got sick from eating there. They will not return either.
Great ambiance, location, vibes, and restaurant for date night. I went on a Saturday night and had dinner and the music was entertaining.
The food was amazing and so perfectly grilled and our waitress candyce was very nice and calm
Loved this place for years but its the first time I experienced having dinner and a cat rolls up onto my leg during our dinner. How do they allow this without tellling people. Not acceptable. To make it worse a server was completely condescending and said we can move you inside. This cat has been here for 8 years lol. How about a warning for people that are allergic to cats instead of just assuming everyone should accept an animal rubbing up on their leg while they eat!absolutely disgusted ! Not to mention that after we gave a GENEROUS tip which wasnt even deserved, our server, Colton, told us to, get out. Im sure if I was white I wouldnt receive this kind of treatment.I will never be back again
Wonderful food, music and even better service! Created some great memories with dear friends. Thanks for a terrific evening!
Both the food and the service were excellent. It was a tiny bit loud, but it was also Saturday evening, so to be expected. Well definitely return.
Atmosphere only good if you eat outside. Crowded and loud on the inside. Food was okay. Bloody Mary was too spicy to even sip.
So freaking good!!! Robert was AMAZING!!! I wish he was at EVERY place I eat! I loved his personality and everything about the experience tonight!!
I started with a delicious house salas that was several steps above the norm. My husband and I enjoyed the tasty chicken parm with spaghetti. The chicken was so tender you could cut it with a plastic knife. Our spaghetti and sauce was killer. The flavor was incredible. We added lemon cello shots. What a taste sensation. We will be back soon!
We went for early dinner with 12 people on New Years Eve. The managment worked with us and since we had a large party suggested a fixed menu of their most popular items.I had shrimp cocktail, Caesar salad, Steak Diane, and Tiramisu for dessert. My wife had stuff mushrooms, Caesar salad, chicken marsala and Tiramisu for dessert. Some of the other choices included lobster ravioli, house salad with a basalmic dressing and the very tasty cheese cake..The entire night was topped off one of the best waiters I have had in a long time. Rob was great with all of the demands of 12 different people and he made us all feel as though we were his favorite guests. Our group has been doing New Years Eve for about 30 years and this was one of my favorite experiences. Thank you Cafe Murano for talking such good care of me and my friends.
Jason was awesome! The food & service was excellent - he handled a large party with ease!
We really like this spot, especially when we can sit on the patio. Good food and service. Decent wine selection. Though we did have hiccups in recent visits, with very slow food delivery, I am hoping it was a fluke. We have had so many very good experiences (probably been here almost 50 time) that they have earned the benefit of any doubt. We will not hesitate to continue going.Post pandemic update, October 2021. I have to amend my previous five-star review. I am compelled to write this review although it sort of pains me to do so. As I noted in my review three years ago I am a frequent guest of this restaurant and have been since it opened. My most recent visit was an absolutely horrendous experience, enough so that I probably will not go back for a long time. I arrived early to meet a client for drinks on the patio, before 5:00 p.m. on a Friday and my family arrived later to join for dinner. Without going into all the negative details I will simply say that Savannah and Connor treated us like absolute garbage and embarrassed me in front of my client. Luckily, our server, Nicole, did her best to come to the rescue but the experience was already ruined.Anyone who reads any of my reviews will see that I love supporting locally owned businesses. Ive probably been to this restaurant between 100 and 200 times through the past several years. It was so, so bad, particularly with Savannah treating us so horribly and smirking about it, while I tried to get seats for my family to join us for dinner. I really dont think I will be back.I am writing this review on October 23rd when the experience occurred on October 1st (My receipt from the evening is attached to this review). I waited a couple of weeks but Im still bitter about it and therefore felt compelled to update my review. The only reason I didnt drop it to one star is because Nicole did her best to be helpful.
We love this place, because of the people, food, and music. They have choices of seating styles, booth hightop, formal table, outdoor seating, bar. They even have pizza, and its really good. Kat(sp) our server was/is awesome, she makes you feel at home!
I went here for the first time for a friends birthday and I loved it! The atmosphere in the bar area is really nice, and we didnt even eat in that section! I passed by it on my way to the bathroom (which was nice and clean). I actually live in the area and has never been there before, but Im definitely going to make it my new restaurant to bring guests and family to! The prices arent too bad and the pasta and calamari were great!
My girlfriend and I visited Cafe Murano for lunch and Cafe Murano did not disappoint! We were sat quickly having the choice of inside or outside sitting, and we were greeted by the server very fast, as well. Fast yet calm was what we wanted/needed due to a slight time constraint, and that’s what we got. The server was attentive and wrote everything down which is important to me because I tend to order a lot of food and sometimes with substitutions although this time no substitutions were needed. I ordered the caesar salad with chicken, my girlfriend ordered the caesar salad with shrimp, and we split an order of the stuffed meatballs, which was plenty to share. The meatballs were huge with hash brown cakes under them, ricotta on the inside and on the side and plenty of sauce on top, which we loved! The salads had a good amount of dressing and a hefty portion of protein! To close, and as mentioned the atmosphere was a calm one even with several tables sat around us, they almost went unnoticed. That’s why I love this place for lunch or dinner and we were not rushed through our meal even though we had to hurry. I also had my rehearsal dinner here at cafe Murano in 2020 and frequent this restaurant so regardless of your event or reason, I highly recommend it for GREAT Italian food!
Very nice place! Even the folks coming in are dressed very classy! The wait staff was outstanding, Sunday the 11th 2018!The food was great but very expensive four our budget! It’s right near the Altamonte Mall and it’s on Craines Roost! The walk around the lake is one mile long and is a very romantic walk!Cafe Murano is well worth the experience!I would recommend it to anyone!
Brunch at Murano is the spot to be! Wow!!! Live music, unlimited mimosas and several delicious food options. The environment is more sophisticated than expected for a brunch spot but the vibe is awesome. Views of cranes roost park is a plus. Right after brunch you can go for a stroll and walk off all those drinks. Check them out out this weekend you won’t regret it.
A hidden gem! I would have never found this place if it wasn’t for a friend who had dined there before…the food was good, we both had sandwiches..we got to eat outside, it was beautiful weather and so nice to not eat inside as we usually do…the wine was delicious and even though we went during a lunch pop, we got good service! The tables kept rolling in and the servers did a great job keeping a float! We will definitely be back to try some pastas in the future!Oh and the bread they give you for free!! BEST BREAD EVER! Id pay for multiple refills :)
I had the shrimp scampi appetizer and the brussel sprouts appetizer the portions were large I had leftovers from just 2 appetizers and our server was named Jason and he was amazing we also ate outside which was really nice over all it was a great dining experience!
Great place to eat. I was there for a party. Had over 40 people. The staff was very attentive and pleasant. Food was great. Had non-meat alternatives that were fantastic.
Came here based on a friend’s advice, specifically for happy hour. Had an amazing time and not to mention, happy hour was truthfully a deal! Happy hour is Monday-Friday 4-7pm and everything is half off, even shots. A deal you can’t go wrong with. I had shots, beers and my friends had a few cocktails and I don’t think any of us spent over $20. Bartender was great and helpful! Will definitely be coming back.
We went as a group of 7 and were attended by Ryan. He was AMAZING! This was our first time there and he was super knowledge on all the plates, he basically chose all of our plates and we all loved every single one. We got the calamari, shrimp scampi, carrot cake, banana bread, etc and everything was delicious! Will be returning just because of Ryan! Atmosphere was amazing, drinks were good. Scenery was amazing to be next to the lake.
Service was impeccable, and our food arrived quickly. Fresh, kitchen hotbusy delicious. Bread fresh from the oven. Entrée portions are generous, but please leave room for dessert as they are delicious.Sorry to say I didnt take any photos on this visit as I was too busy enjoying the meal and company. Will be sure to add photos from my next visit.
Great food prices are very high atmosphere great staff understaffed and took a while to get back to you Bloody Mary was disappointing so food yes expensive but a treat drinks well Bloody Mary a no
Table service and the wine suggestion were superb. We sat on the porch and enjoyed the fact we could hear each other. The menu includes some classic Italian menu items but has evolved to include some modern options as well. I recommend this restaurant.
I come here a lot when I’m in Orlando. The service is top notch. The Bolognese is excellent. The drinks are amazing. The ingredients are fresh, everything is from scratch,
The food was amazing and our waiter Rob was literally THE BEST! Will definitely be back.
Our experience was excellent. We sat outside and the ambiance was very nice. The taste of the food was great. I would be remiss if dont mention our waiter Daniel. He was very professional, friendly and very attentive to our needs. Great service.
Every time I eat here I wonder why I don’t eat here more. The food is consistently delicious! The service is consistently, friendly and fast. And the drinks are tasty. I would definitely recommend for a date night, or a girls night out, or any night where you want food that taste like someone’s Italian grandma made it.
We hosted a baby shower here, from the organization, premises to the food and service everything and everyone deserves a 5/5 star rating. Restaurant business is hard and demanding but everyone here was so welcoming, accommodating and friendly! I really appreciate every single person who took care of our event. I will definitely recommend this place to hold an event or just to have a good time! Thank you.
Love Cafe Murano! Awesome cheers feel to the bar crowd. Vegans can order a side of pasta with either Diablo sauce, for the spicy gals, or the burgundy mushrooms for the sophisticated set Be sure to express no dairy or egg. As I always say, the sure sign of fresh made food is the ability to modify! No problem here and everything in delicious 😍 yum!
Stay away, understaffed, horrible, mom and pop type mgmt. Their food is hit or miss and they are non accommodating to guests. Read their negative reviews, its due to their staff. They did not give us all of our to go bags and then argued with me when we called about it. Thats after the receptionist hung up on us. I do believe that the aggressiveness of the mgr, Tony may have been why the hostess lied about giving us the 2nd bag or maybe she just thought she did. I guess sauce really costs alot because they were more interested in telling me they gave me the bag worh saice then making it right. The mgr literally had me on the phone and was questioning the hostess. When I told him that was unprofessional and uncomfortable for me and her, he laughed and hung up.
I’ll start with the service cause that was by far the best part! Our waiter was attentive polite made great recommendations, new one to check back, and we never had to wait for anything! The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was wonderful, although outside there were swarms of little bugs from time to time.
This is a fantastic restaurant. The Turkey BLT was delicious. The salmon salad was excellent.
I actually worked here for almost 2 years, I can tell you from an insiders perspective that the food is fresh, cooked to order and out of this world. The service is top notch. I worked alongside many of the waiters and waitresses on more than a few shifts. Also the management here will not hesitate to roll up their sleeves and assist wherever needed to make sure all the guests enjoy their visit. This includes even the General Manager Trent, who regularly walks the floor to ensure smooth, fast paced and personalized service. Cafe Murano also has a beautiful patio area overlooking Cranes Roost Park, the sunset here on a nice evening is unmatched in the area. Happy hour is from 4-7 every week night and 11-5 on Saturdays! Drinks are half off! They even have live entertainment on select days! I enjoyed my time here soo much both working and dining. I could go on and on about it. I highly recommend you checking out Cafe Murano for yourself. Go in, ask for Danny, tell him Dylan sent you and your visit will be memorable I promise you this. Enjoy!!
Indoor seating requires one week or more advance reservation. Outdoor seating can be attained most any day. Food and service is excellent. One misleading heads up to entree Chicken Murano. Its a salad with chicken breast on it. Not clearly described as that so dissappointing it was not a chefs specialty but a salad. Service is quick, too. Ambiance is spectacular.
A place to visit more than once. They serve Italian food but everything has a little touch of exclusity, is always a different and amazing flavor. They also have offers according to the week day. Wednesday wine day, good offers. A plus is the location, after a really good dinner you can choose to walk around the lake, beautiful view.
Wonderful view of Cranes Roost Lake from their outdoor patio. The staff is always friendly. They have a decent menu of wonderful Italian food. While some might think $18 is steep for Chicken Parmesan, I feel that the splurge is definitely worth it here. They also provide crispy Italian bread and dipping oil (olive oil w/ balsamic vinegar and Parmesan cheese.) Also to note they serve Pepsi products for those that dont drink. They also have a resident furball by the name of Miss Smores who has served as a mini feline hostess for their patio for the past 3-ish years and if you are lucky she will come by, tail raised high, for some attention before sauntering away. I have been fortunate to have eaten here several times and have not been disappointed!
The food is delicious and fresh! The atmosphere is classy and fun.
This place has so much potential. However, closing at 11p on Friday and you have a small band playing youre not reaching your full potional. Lord knows the location is a nice spot, perfectly nuzzled into Cranes Roost area! This place could be popping everynight of the week!
Wonderful Italian restaurant tucked back off Festival Drive behind Altamonte Mall. The Lobster & Crab Ravioli was the best Ive ever had! The create your own pizzas are wonderful. The 9 is plenty for one person or share with another. Service was a bit slow, but I was with a group. The live music is great, but gets too loud for conversation. Awesome place!
ALways excellent food, but this time we were served by a condescending server who could nt seem to get the service right, and had some kind of attitude going. Could not ruin the excellent food, but they tried hard.
Had dinner at the Cafe on Tuesday. The place is located in a beautiful lakefront area. Plenty of parking.I usually don’t have steak at an Italian restaurant, but frankly speaking, the steak Diane was Absolutely DELICIOUS. The Fillet Mignon, mushrooms, peas, shallots, and the wine sauce were served over a bed of linguini. The portions were so generous that I couldn’t finish the entire thing. So I took home the leftovers and enjoyed it the next day for lunch! AMAZING DISH!BTW, the rest of my party totally enjoyed their food as well! The service was first class! Definitely will be back again!
We enjoyed another great meal at Cafe Murano. I come once a year visiting family, and I always have at one dinner here. The food is delicious. PRO TIP sit outdoors or next to the window during the winter to watch the light displays.
Food was delicious and service was fantastic. A wonderful experience.
Excellent food, but a bit pricey for the portions. It was $32 bucks for 3 sides and a glass of happy hour wine. Bday dinner so it was still nice, but we all agreed it was too much $$ for the portions. Tiramisu was not the best Ive had. I would not get dessert there again. Overall, it was a nice dinner. Service was OK. The server seemed distracted. We had to flag him down for our happy hour drinks, so we werent too pleased with that! Ive been here several times and would go back, but it isnt at the top of my list!!
Good was very good! Service was great and will return.
Seated with our large group at reserved table. Wait staff were uninformed and seemed overwhelmed. Didnt check back on service and status. Haphazard taking of orders, skipped over / missed some members of our party. Air conditioning condensation dripped on our table and guests, myself included. Asked about corkage fee of $10 and was told yes and then charged $15. I appreciate increases in prices occur but staff need to be aware and not misinform. Previously recognized as a favorable venue but this last experience has me questioning whether I would return and bring a group.
Super friendly and attentive service with great food and live music. Great brunch!
Absolute worst restaurant experience ever! I made an outside reservation a month ago for my anniversary this past Saturday. We were seated at a table for four in the far corner of the patio with a very limited view. We were right next to an office building and some broken chairs. We asked if we could move over to a table for two under the covered section since the weather was starting to look stormy. Our waiter went in to ask the hostess and he came back out and said that those tables were reserved and that we could stay at our table or move inside to high top tables next to the bar. At the time, we were the first party outside on the entire patio. We decided to stay because we wanted the outdoor environment and we hoped the weather would hold out for us. Soon after that the skies opened and it started raining very hard. Our waiter helped us move over to a two person table in the covered section. A couple with their dog had asked our waiter if dogs were allowed and he said yes and they went to the hostess station to inquire about a table. They were then seated directly behind us in the covered section that we were previously not allowed to move to. They had no reservation. Another couple who had been eating at an uncovered table had grabbed their plates and moved over to the covered section. Not even five minutes after we moved, our waiter came back out to tell us that my girlfriend and I could not sit at that table and we had to leave in twenty minutes or less because they had other reservations. He told us that he was yelled at for allowing us to move out of the pouring rain. He was new to the restaurant and felt awful for telling us to leave. He seemed distraught. No other party was told they had to leave the restaurant. We were not even halfway done with our food when we were told we had to leave. We never were able to finish our food at the restaurant and took it to go. We felt that we were not valued as customers because we were a young lesbian couple. Customers should not be treated differently based on their age or sexual orientation. I chose this restaurant because on our first date we walked around Cranes Roost park with milkshakes. I wanted to pay homage to that special night by going to the restaurant overlooking the park. This was an awful experience and I urge anyone reading this to take their business somewhere else in Altamonte where they will be valued as a customer. This was absolutely unacceptable to me and I cannot believe my girlfriend and I were treated this way on our anniversary. We won’t be back.
Nice Italian inspired restaurant. The ambiance with the Christmas decorations were very warm and inviting and really gave a nice old world feel to the atmosphere. I had the same server within two visits I took one week apart for business lunches. She was very friendly, remembered me, and gave great service both visits. When asking for recommendations, she had great candor in her offerings to help make good meal choices. Both groups I went with loved the food overall.
I’ve been going here for years. Same menu nothing changed no soup any more and no specials. Too expensive for the same dishes from the past 10 years
I loved loved this place. The food was delicious, affordable and service was excellent. Parking is free and accessible. They were sweet to Peggy. Ambience, music and our server and everyone was so welcoming and friendly. We got the calamari, lobster and crab ravioli. The ravioli was so good, creamy but not too creamy, the lobster, crab stuffing was light, delicious. The limoncello cake was also delish. Highly recommend this place.
ALWAYS A FANTASTIC TIME! The food is outstanding (I am Italian, so tough to please) but Muranos is great!
Normally love this place but tonight had a server tell us that they were not going to give us service and that we needed to order from the bar because we weren’t ordering food, only drinks. The restaurant was open for over an hour at this moment. We were on the patio and had specifically asked to be seated out there to avoid the loudness of the bar area while we chatted over our drinks. We would have been fine if this was an official policy but it was very clear she just didn’t want to serve us - as she continued to serve her other tables. When the host (so sweet) sat us the server tried to get the host to convince us to go to the bar then too - telling the host to tell us service would be faster at the bar.
Great atmosphere love the patio and accommodations of a large group. The service was even satisfactory and our server was friendly patient and pleasant. The food is nothing to rave about.
I love Peoples work there food so good I come back
Service was excellent, food extremely good , the appearance of the restaurant is nice but not inviting to stay , what do I mean by that? Tables areas are on top to each other in my opinion, is too quiet as well they should play some background music but once again is just my opinion, they have an outside sitting area facing the park which is an excellent view of the lake . Our waitress was great but not excellent, never came back to me and asked if he could bring me some more water or something also to drink , dont take me wrong I was ok with it , cause I didnt need evento drink , but I was invited to review this restaurant, and Im not sugar code this review, I want to be as honest , fair and accurate as I can for the other people to take the right decision, keep in mind that this place is really popular and they have a huge clientele, over all , It was a great experience.
