Visited recently and had an amazing time. I’m not sure why the 1 star reviews (Specifically @Bloop guy with the security guard pic). Love her by the way! She’s always kind and fair at the front door as well as inside the club.As a gay man who often visits with my gay buddies, we’ve never had a bad experience. The only time we’ve ever seen security get involved with someone (not gender or sexual orientation specific) is if they are drunk, belligerent or inappropriately put their hands on someone. Wednesdays Karaoke night is amazing and the weekends are always a fun vibe. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a fun safe environment where they can be themselves!

So I am leaving the establishment after a terrible experience. I came by a few days ago for Karaoke night with my Twin sister, who flew in for our 35th birthday weekend, and enjoyed ourselves so much, she decided to come back again on Saturday night. We got in had good vibes going then they wanted to have all Geminis come on stage, knowing my sister wouldnt go by herself I, her twin gay brother, drag her up on stage. Not knowing whats about to happen we willingly participate in the dance competition. At the end I am facing my sister talking and showing a dance move we could have did not knowing someone was walking up behind me. I accidentally knocked the tray of shots she had coming for all of us for participating. I felt terrible about it and the young lady I ran into made me feel even worse, when I turned and realized what happened she got upset and walked off, with alcohol covering my pants and leg. I get that it was my bad I just didnt see her behind me, the problem I have is I went after standing up there for a minute while the shots are now covering both my shoes at this point (and the other participant being one of the only two people who checked in on me asking if anyone brought a towel for my shoes so they dont stain), I go to the bar to ask for a towel and Im told I have to wait for them to finish cleaning the spill on the stage to at least get the sticky feeling off me. This was the WORST experience Ive had at any bar/club Ive been to since I moved here. Im more embarrassed than anything because I go out of the norm to take her somewhere she would like and now feel like thats not the spot I EVER want to revisit or take any one back to. I am now at some straight bar I was trying to avoid going to because I felt this place would not be the vibe we were looking for giving them money to calm my self from being pissed off figuring out how to clean my shoes that were a birthday gift instead of enjoying my make up birthday weekend. Thanks

NOT the same vibe as it use to be few years ago. Different location and different vibe. Different crowd, different music. And oh, don’t buy drinks either if you’re considered a light drinker because as soon as they see you enjoying yourself, they’re kicking you out without a reasonable cause. I was at my table with my friends enjoying a good time until I had this one security guard continue to come back around telling me to leave. Then proceeded to have other security guards antagonize behind her. Other than mentioned, the food was fresh and flavorful. Overall, this new location is NOT it.

I LOVE the energy of the owner of this place. I came from FL to an enjoy a lauren sanderson concert, everything was spot on… people, staff, vibes, 100% check ✔️ … UNTILL this,My girlfriend had gotten really hot in the middle of the crowd so we took a second to leave the main floor so she could cool down, we moved beside the stage where the steps were away from the heat of the crowd. My girlfriend had almost passed out walking out of the crowd so she sat down on the steps.A staff member instantly came up to my girlfriend who was looking very rough as she was on the verge of passing out from over heating, the staff member proceeded with no empathy, and no care when she came to talk to us.She told us we couldn’t sit on the steps as they were a way to an authorized persons area. We had explained to her that my girlfriend didn’t feel well and she was on the verge of passing out.All we got from this staff, is“ You gotta move “No sorry, no what could we do, not well sit over here, no water, no concern.She redirected us to the upstairs area where there wasn’t any seats. By this point my girlfriends nose had started bleeding so we had just left after.During this show, it was made clear by the artist that this was a safe space, A BIG, SOLD OUT SHOW, and to GET HELP if you’re feeling unwell in the crowd.I wish that staff member would’ve remembered that was said and cared that it was said.Over all, great place just wish the some people that lack consideration.

My first time here and I had an absolutely INCREDIBLE time! All of the staff and performers were so lovely. Shoutout to Chelsea, Mrs. Ivana, and especially Rachael yall are so sweet!!! Will definitely be returning 💕💞💞💓💗💝💖💘

It was a great night !!! The drinks were really good and affordable. The DJ was playing hits after hits!!! He definitely did an awesome job . This was my first time here and I’m ready to go back again . I did order wings but never got them I’m only sad about that . Other than that I’m coming next week for some more good times trust me you will have a good time here !!!!!!!! Oh yeah they have strippers definitely a vibe

Was excited to visit MSR with my girlfriend cause I’m from out of town. On their instagram they said cover was $10, got to the door and was charged $15. No big deal. The drag was great, the music was good, and service eh. We ordered a tender basket and sat outside with our number. After 30 minutes I went in to ask about expected times for food and if they run outside just to make sure, I was told current estimates were about 30 minutes and that they will check outside. After 20 more minutes my girlfriend went inside to ask and was just told that they had a big order placed but that the wait time is usually 30 minutes and to make sure our number was visible (it was). After more than an hour we just gave up and went to ask for a refund so we could leave, they spent some time trying to figure out the situation and came back with the order packaged to go though we already said we didn’t want it anymore. They did end up giving us the refund and they were very apologetic but just seems like an avoidable problem, especially if they didn’t blow us off when we first asked. Spent most of our night there waiting for food that was never going to come lol. I’ll give it another chance one day but what a bummer.

I literally can not say enough good about this place!!! It is such an incredible and welcoming place! The bartenders are all great but Rachel is so awesome!!! Security was friendly and helpful and the DJ looks just like Sam Eliot! Lol. We came on karaoke night without even realizing it and it was the best time of our lives! The other people there were all so kind and chatty! I’ll definitely be coming back anytime I’m in town!!! Great experience and wonderful people!!!!!

This is my favorite gay club! Its got drag shows, burlesque, drinks and food, and hookah. It also has two floors, a patio, and two DJs.I always have fun and feel safe here. I love My Sisters Room!

This is the best pub I saw in my life to safe and care . and all staff are so wonderful if ur new yah trying 1st time here definitely u will make here nice memories. I went this pub since the last 4 years every Friday and Saturday night I went there still counting and I didn’t get boring there I enjoy a lot and most important thinks is am a straight gender person but I love all this Bcz I respect human I didn’t keep in mind gay and lesbian Bcz that all god gifts . Most important thing is owner is so powerful energy I never saw owner personally working there as a staff down too earth so definitely who someone new want to visit there just try once u will be continuing there . Absolutely love it here! I always visit when I’m in town and the vibes are immaculate. They have one of the best bartenders I’ve ever met. Nikky works so hard and gives the best drinks out of the whole staff. Jill is amazing as security, she’s always on top of things and very helpful. Can’t wait to be back :)

My 1st time ever visiting here was June 2024 & I had a ball! & this super pretty, funny & friendly bartender Chelsea reallt helped me feel comfortable. 10/10

So glad we found this place! My fiancée and I came to Atlanta for a concert and wanted to check out LGBTQ friendly bars. Finding a lesbian spot is so rare, particularly one as fun as this one. Went on Friday night and had such a good time we came back Saturday and saw some drag performers. Didn’t try the food but drinks, music, and atmosphere were amazing. Thank you MSR!

The vibe here is throwing up if you wanna throw up eat the food Do not eat here went to see Lauren Sanderson last night and a whole big group of our friends got sick on the french fries puking all day. Do not eat the loaded fries. Do not eat anything from this place. You will get sick. I’m hoping that they will give us our money back.

Visiting from out of town with my friends and was looking for a fun hip gay bar and this place did not disappoint. Karaoke was a great surprise. The bartenders were great and April at the door was amazing. Everyone was friendly and having a good time. 10 out of 10 would visit again.

Absolutely love it here, I’ve been a regular at Wednesday night karaoke for years. Always a great experience from the time I’m greeted at the door by Apryl to ordering drinks with Rachel, Kysi, or any of the other wonderful bartenders. They’ve definitely made a long time patron out of me, super special thank you to the manger, Rachel for always reminding me why I love being a regular here.

I cant begin to explain the amazingness of this place. There was a cover at the door. The bar drinks were strong! The drag show was sinfully delicious.

Oh. My. Gosh. We had a BLAST here!! The bartenders, primo. The food, a tasty night-saver and life saver! I got 2 long islands here, a tequila shot, mozzarella sticks, and chicken tenders and everything was wonderful! The vibe was dancing and singing. The night we went they were having “fem Friday” and I thought it was cool that they had videos of different women dancing on a large projector they had up. Cover was $10/person when we went and they pat you down at the entrance. We went for my bachelorette and I got soo many congratulations and they even took me up on stage and had a dancer dance for me!! It was a blast!!! I felt so safe the whole time and just had a blast!! I would 100% go back and take me soon-to-be-wife with me!

It’s okay but Not the same vibe, or crowd, or even music as a few years ago. The location before was absolutely amazing… I moved to ATL in 2019 and the old MSR was the one thing I would recommend to people coming here. Nice place still but, just not the same :-(

Had a blast at karaoke and went back for R&B the next night. Wish they had more than one bar available for patrons but it kept people close to the stage i suppose. We all had a blast!

The club was a vibe everyone was cool from security to the people inside I loved the glow stick night for singles, taken and complicated with the different colors first time in ATL my girl wanted to go to a an all lesbian club for her birthday it was awesome even got to see a burlesque show at the end

Omg! I love this place. My first experience was going to see Jkillem and kingkelzz. They are absolutely amazing performers and even more amazing people. Hoping you guys will bring them back out soon!!!

Rachael and Forest are honestly the best staff at any bar i have ever been to!! They are so attententive and so sweet and every time I come here I look forward to seeing them. They make my night!!

I wish 🙏🏽 I could give this 0 stars ... The bathrooms are NASTY !! As women why is there no sink? No toilet seats.. like why ?! I would rather use the bathroom in the middle of the street before I use there bathroom again .. me and my better half will go to another womens event venue before we ever think about returning here . Do better

Literally this bar has my heart. I am a frequent customer here and the staff are always amazing. Special shout out to Rachel, Apryl, and Kysi for the outstanding service. And the wings are bomb. This bar never disappoints and I will continue to come back anytime I am in Atlanta

This place is to freaking fun amazing music and the manager is so freaking dope , Rachel, she was the best: the bartender, Jes was attentive and so kind. Love this place 🔥

I went this Thursday March 8th the girl Bailey is so niceeee and efficient she had my hooookah on point but they need to take the girl Rachel off hookah cause it was horrrible and her service was slow.

The staff are incredibly polite and i feel safe going there. its rare that I dont have to constantly check the people around me :) the music is a plus! 10/10 recommend

Calendar and board outside claimed R&B but nothing. We were literally the only 2 customers in the place. We ordered drinks that cost more than menu price. After those we started dancing to make the best of it but they even turned the music off. Complete silence.

Its a cool hangout spot rather your alone or with a crowd. I feel like the tables should be free downstairs but that’s my opinion. The bathrooms could be better. KB is a great entertainer. I really wasn’t hyped with the other ones but KB made me feel welcomed. I will be returning

I had never been here before until New Years EveThe place was hopping and at midnight you got free champagne.My group were out on the balcony when the New Year rang in and you could hear sounds of celebration ringing in the air.The crowd there was friendly and everyone was having fun.It was a happy atmosphere and I would go back again.

I was so excited to go to this bar, and it did not disappoint. The entertainment was on point, and the drinks were strong. The patio was great to relax on, and you could still see everything going on inside because its all open with this cool garage looking door. It exceeded expectations.

Went with friends last night to check out the drag! It was such a fun time. The King show was SO fun. Went up after to talk to Boy Howdy, he was so sweet. Gave us a run down of future drag shows here so we can come back! Great drinks. Friendly staff. Cool murals too!

This was my first time at the new venue and I had a great time. Music and entertainment was great like usual. My only thing is that the woman you pay to get in was sorta rude last night. Not the kind of tone you want to set when inviting people into your club but maybe she had her own things going on. Nonetheless, I’ll be back and bring more people with me!

Went here on my birthday and had such a nice time!! im a big homebody, so i wasnt sure if i was gonna like this kind of thing, but i got to catch the drag show and the performers were so good, super fun, and SO freakin nice!!! so were the other patrons!! its a bit of a long drive for me, but ill be coming back again sometime for sure!! 🧡

The best place for great entertainment, food, delicious drinks, and such a welcoming environment. Hands down My favorite queer bar to go to.

Very small space. Came here to see Sasha Colby perform and they had divided the main room up by VIP and general admission, which made the room very cramped. There was an outdoor patio, but it was 30° outside so everybody packed in as best as they could, but security was very picky about enforcing clear aisles. My group went to the upstairs bar but there was no view of the stage or drag show up there. Pretty expensive tickets to not even get a view. This bar also charged automatic 20% gratuity on all drink orders without disclosure and still had a TIP LINE on the receipt which I found a very dishonest practice. Won’t be back.

I came this past Sunday around 8 PM. The place was pretty dead. I heard it gets packed on Fridays and Saturdays. They had a drag performance scheduled for 10 PM, but my friend and I had to leave before it started.I felt like the door girl and the bartenders were friendly. I was impressed by their tap beer selection. The bartender was really good about explaining the different types of beers and was generous when providing samples. She did not try to rush my friend into picking a drink, which was nice since we were there to have a good time and to unwind.The music playing was from the 70s and 80s, there was food available, and the place seemed clean. Overall, I would definitely come back on a Friday or Saturday night when there are more people. It was hard for me to play wingman without anyone else there!

As a hetero person, I went there and enjoyed the show and the drinks. The people there arent pushy about you not identifying within their community as long as you arent rude or judgemental. Live and let live.

One of the few lesbian spots in the country so I love it! The new location has more space for dancing which is good but dont sit upstairs to watch shows right at the window if your face speaks your emotions loudly because...Now, the floor and bathrooms are disgusting. Always sticky and gross but cant win em all I spose.Parking-theres a deck around the corner that usually runs $10-25 depending on how long you stay and theres some street parking, but good luck getting any of that after 11pmAll in all, its a great spot, I just wish more women actually spoke to me there, because...Okay, bye!

If you love drag shows MSR is the place for you! If you’re looking for party/dancing/club vibes I would suggest finding another lesbian party to go to. Many times when I come to MSR it’s just people standing around watching a performer. I liked the old location a lot better because you could just go upstairs to vibe out and meet people and dance while the shows were going on. Now it’s more like one big room with an elevated level so if you want to party I would suggest not going on a show night. But vibes were friendly and the drinks were great, just not the vibe I was personally looking for on the night I went.

Ive gone a few times with my boyfriend and his sister and we always have a good time. So much that I brought my sister on her birthday. The drag shows are amazing! Its a very fun, chill, and accepting environment, even if youre not LGBTQ. I LOVE THAT! Its nice to be able to drink and party in a spot where EVERYONE feels comfortable. The only thing I would add to this place would be extra bathrooms. The upstairs is more like a bar and they have pool tables and downstairs is made up more like a nightclub. Overall its a safe and great place to have fun.

Went last night for R&B night. The vibe was great but the food and the drinks weren’t that great. I ordered wings fried extra hard and it was not fried hard all. Needed a little more time to cook actually. Fries were also undercooked so they were soggy. The drinks were watered down. Not an opinion but facts. Please do not water down the drinks it’s tacky.

I just left here after only being here for 30 min. There unfortunately the security was so mean to me. I couldn’t believe it. She really followed me around and demanded I move here then there and here then back there again. I thought I was coming to to see a great drag show but instead was treated so poorly I’m honestly still in shock.I know that I’m part of G in the LGBTQ but I should be scrutinize for supporting my sister. I was only able to see two drag show performers.Before wanting to leave although I spent $30 to enter. That’s not counting, hookah and cocktails.Sadly is was a yellow brother/sister that was beyond rude. I see multiple reviews on the same individual.

Very sad to write this review but , MSR is in fact cutting corners and mislabeling their liquor. I did hear a rumor, but I didn’t really feed into. As a knowledgeable drinker who bartended for six years at elite spots, and traveled to beautiful countries that make good tequilas ; I am aware I was being mislead. My partner and I had two drinks a piece and had a headache for two days. I have spent many Friday and Saturday nights over the past 10 years at MSR. I have to say this is extremely disappointing. Being the longest running lesbian bar in Atlanta, this is a terrible thing to do to your community. If my friends decide to ever come back and I decide to join them, I will definitely be drinking somewhere else prior to my arrival.

Okay so, I’ve been to MSR quite a few times. Tonight was the worst night and I’m not sure if I’ll be back. The tall light skin masculine presenting security guard with dreads was EXTREMELY rude. I’ve never felt so disrespected. I sat down at an empty table to rest for a moment, she came over and yelled at me belligerently to move; after I told her that she was being rude she forced me to leave the club. She was rude, yelled at me, and cursed at me. It was like she was on a power trip. The section had no reserve sign and no red ropes, so I was unaware that I wasn’t able to sit there for a moment. I didn’t have any drinks, food, or hookah while sitting there. Just wanted to rest my feet for a while. I’m very upset about this whole ordeal. I can’t believe this happened. Watch out for this security guard, I wouldn’t trust her to protect my establishment if she was the last security guard on earth.

Love the new digs MSR! Friendly suggestion, how about a mounted tv in the outdoor area so patrons can see the show while enjoying the outdoors.

If you not a sister or of a different ethnicity other than black. This place treat men like trash and then put you out and don’t refund you your money.The security was so rude. I never in my life been to something like this. I thought we were apart of the same umbrella. She continued to push me off to the side but let the other people stand in the middle of ales. First time for a drag show. Really fun, the atmosphere was full of vibrant happy people and the performers where full of vibrant energy and gusto! Had the chilie cheese fries. They where good considering it was basic bar food, but was brought out hot, fresh and crisp to enjoy. The downstairs bar tender was very polite and very knowledgeable of even off the wall dunks. Only issue was the bathrooms got rough quick only negative. Will come again!

I like this new MSR location. Bigger than the previous location and draws in more of a crowd. Great crowds everytime Ive been and great performers and shows. The drink lines are always long, but they move quickly.

My friends and I were headed to a spot we found out was closed so we came here instead. Security checked our IDs and pat down then we entered. We passed the cashier so I though it was a free night. This place is small and cute. The DJ was blasting Megan the Stallion while actually interacting with the crowd. I danced for a bit and tried to go downstairs only to find out there is a cover and you need a wristband. I wanted to go so bad, but I was on the move to the next spot. I must come back and give a detailed review. From my time inside the vibe was amazing. The crowd was mixed and very welcoming. I did not feel out of place at all. This place had a personality and character to it. Until next time!

I love this place! One of my favorite places in Atlanta and one of the few lesbian bars in the country. Lesbian owned as well! Burlesque and karaoke nights were my favorite. Fun welcoming environment.

I’ve gone to MSR for years, tonight (10/29 )I visited their new location for the first time since the most recent move. The space is great but the vibes were just off. It felt like much less of a lesbian space than I’m accustomed to experiencing at MSR. The DJs were sadly very underwhelming and it was more like an amateur college party than a Halloween event. Nevertheless MSR will always hold a special place in my heart.Updated Review: This is clearly not the Lesbian Bar/Space it used to be 😞

Nice, large, split level area for events. Good priced drinks. Went for the beginning of Atlanta Black Pride and it was a cool lil vibe.

First you really have to find the spot!! Its squeezed in between two other clubs and its a cluster mess.Very young crowd. It was gay pride weekend so it was overly crowded and they allow you to smoke inside which was not good especially with a large crowd and no ventilation. There was an outside area for smoking but... It wasnt enforced for the smokers to go there. The security was a little rude and rough on the so-called pat search... More like a slap and grab feel.On a none event (regular) night, its ok. Not my cup of tea...

First time here was Wednesday night 11/10/2021, I drove from Macon. Gotta say the crowd was easy company and the lemon pepper wings (hot,hot hot) were great! The bouncer was halarious. It was karaoke night and everybody was having a large time in a little gem of a club. I met a few really cool people. Im a little older and did not expect the warmth I found. Will I go back? You bet! ♡

Its a super welcoming spot. Offers plenty of entertainment but the stage is very small in the new spot so it easily gets over crowded. $18 for two 6oz drinks is a little rediculous so I probably will choose elsewhere for a while.

After the Brandi Carlise concert last Thursday my friend and I from Tennessee wandered in MSR the DJ was awesome ,Bartender really nice and made us feel welcome.After a few hours I decide we should head out almost closing time. My friend was a bit overly intoxicated and wasnt ready to leave . A gorgeous tall gal with braids immediately came over with water and I explained no more drinks and we should uber it out . She hung back with my friend while I called for a ride and walked us to the door and your security was on the look out .Another lady even walked outside and asked if we were together(excellent idea) in case I was taking advantage of her.It felt safe and management was great to keep an eye on folks . These 2 white sister chicks had a good experience .Would love to return again when in Atlanta.

I miss the old MSR- this is basically a “straight lesbian bar” . Lots of straight people Gawking at the strippers. Male emcees taking videos of women. One of the patrons got a lap dance and was inappropriately touching the dancer and nothing was done about it. You’re only allowed to go to the upper level if you pay for hookah. Wack music playing lots of Chris brown and drake. Not sure if there is new management but I won’t be coming back felt very uncomfortable…

One of my favorite places to go that welcomes the LGBT community with open arms. The environment is so dope and the music is always great too.

As one of the last Lesbian clubs in the US, MSR was jam packed for Atlanta Black Gay Pride Weekend, and the crowd was diverse. No more lesbian clubs in the city I live so was really looking forward to the experience. Had a great time. Upstairs, downstairs, and outside sitting area. Bar on each level. Dance floor on each level. Street parking only. Cash only, except the Nights when doing comedy shows, and then cash app and Venmo. Cost us $20 dollars each to get in. Food and hookah available, but we didnt do either. My only real issue is this... dont use the bathrooms, they are terrible. I get ppl can be nasty, but no excuse for the bathroom being that nasty! They have a employee who monitors ppl going in and out. The stall we were told was open had no toilet seat. One of the bathroom sinks was missing. And there was wet and dry toilet paper everywhere, smh. Oh, one more thing, you can smoke in the outside area.

I have been a patron of MSR for yearsss! I have always felt safe and welcomed. It has become a another home for me! I’ve always enjoyed the food, music, great service, and company when I’m there. Definitely recommend this place! Make sure you say hey if you see me there! 😊

Had a blast going here after Pride. It was PACKED but the bartender handled it like a champ. Took a while to get in and took a while to actually get to the bar to order, but thats to be expected when its that busy. Once we ordered our drinks, we got them immediately. Love the atmosphere, specially the patio area

We were visiting from St. Louis and it was a cool atmosphere. I think it could definitely be a better spot if they were to move the pool table upstairs out on the front patio, put some tables on the inside for drinks and conversation, and keep the space open between the bar and tables leading to downstairs open for movement and dancing. The DJ downstairs was sick‼ She was on point, she should have been spinning instead of a drag show‼ It was a Saturday, so we were looking to party, not watch drag. We left and came back. Drag should be Thursday, and party should be Friday and Saturday‼

Visited my first time on a wednesday night. We stayed downstairs. The staff was nice and while we were nervous at first it was a great atmosphere with really cool, friendly people. Karaoke was super great and food portion sizes were good. You are expected to spend money there if you are there but thats reasonable and they werent rude about it.

Its a fun bar! They play dance-y music and have decent specials -- when I went it was $4 fireball, $7 Smirnoff mix -- however, theres a $10 cover charge and $10 minimum for cards.I do like that its a bunch of different vibes in one. Outside, theres a chill seating area. Theres a downstairs bar, and upstairs is the dancefloor with a balcony if you need some air.

It was my first time there. It was a great atmosphere. Enuff space for dancing playing pool, connect four, and jenga. I had the chicken and Beef tacos. I preferred the beef taco to the chicken, but that my opinion. The only thing I didnt like is that the bartender couldnt hear me so she charged me three times more than Im suppose to. But once I brought it to her attention she corrected her mistake immediately. Or than that it was GREAT.

Went here on New Years Eve and had a blast!! Highly recommend and will be returning.

Paid $10 to get in. Bought a hookah that took 40+ minutes to come out while friends waited in line to *attempt* to order food and then finally gave up because the line wasn’t moving. Bf went to bar and it took 20 minutes to get drinks. Im sorry, but we paid $10 a piece for what again when we couldn’t even catch a buzz, get a drink, grab a bite to eat and barely even got to hit our hookah. What a waste. I’ve seen a far bigger crowd with better service. Is this a joke?

Staff was excellent: door security is v professional, person taking cover was communicative, bartenders efficiently serviced a big crowd.but the music was terrible and there were way too many straight people

Music was great, and the crowd was friendly and energetic. I have to give the experience 2 stars though, because I left feeling like I had inattentive service and like I was not treated like other guests. The bar was chaotic, but we were waiting in line for drinks - instead of asking who to serve next, the bartender just chose randomly out of the line who to serve (someone who had gotten to the bar 2-3 mins after I did). This was off-putting but I just shrugged it off and went downstairs to go dance instead. Later, I go up to the bar while no one is there and try to get the same bartenders attention for a drink (we def made eye contact!) but he swivels around and works on something at the POS station. When other people went up to the bar, he would sense/see them and take care of their orders. I was baffled! Its already fairly stressful to call out to the bartender to get their attention, but being ignored is never a fun feeling. I wish this guy would act more attentively to all guests, not just selectively choosing who to help.

I took a date here for the first time and had a very disappointing experience. I spent money for a table and hookah at 9:47pm. Our hookah would not burn so it took the guy over an hour to get that fixed. By this time, it’s after 11pm. The hookah burned good for about 15 minutes and then the coal went out. We ask for a new coal, but were told that it was too late to add new coals because they close in 45 minutes and the coal burns for an hour. I had already tipped the bartender and the guy who brought out the hookah $20 each and this was how we were treated. I spent a lot of money on food and drinks that night as well. I don’t spend my money anywhere that lacks customer service. This was on May 23, 2021.

Okay why does this BAR charge a cover rate? Second of all why do they allow smoking in such a small space?I was inebriated when I went here with my friend so maybe that is why the cover charge didnt bother me much because usually I hate bars with cover charges! It was $7 each for a total of $14 and that is not counting the drinks that you STILL have to pay for! Why, My Sisters Room, why??? The night I went there was a drag king show which was mediocre but Im not really into the whole drag king/drag queen show at the gay establishments *Kanye shrug.* The atmosphere was okay but there werent that many people in the place (yes even with the drag king show). Many of the girls were hugged up with who I assumed was their partner (typical with lesbians that come out for entertainment).Overall MSR is not a place I would visit again. It just leaves much to be desired...Like dont take my money at the door if youre supposed to be a bar! :-/ I wouldve given MSR 3 stars, but I dont agree with them charging a cover for what they provide plus its a BAR!

Walking in front door the lady that was taking the money was rude, and not speaking to anyone. Real ugly stank face. We went on R&B night the host that night was kind of making my wife uncomfortable, she was trying to push up on me like my wife wasnt right beside me. I dont appreciate stuff like that. Tbh . I wasn’t impressed at all . When I first walked in the bodyguard energy was sluggish she didn’t even speak when I spoke to her. Luckily the girl who was collecting the money was sweet . Everyone was jammed pack in there . This place is super small and don’t have many seats. When I decided to get a drink the bartender was soooooooo rude 😫 I just saved my coin and went to bulldog instead LOL if anything I probably would’ve had more fun watching the drag show. But I’ll probably never go back there. The club scene definitely was not for me. Including the rude customer service.

Our most recent experience at MSR has been the worst yet!We went on a Friday night. The cover was $10 to go upstairs, which is what we expected. They only had 1 bathroom functional. The music and DJ was on point!!! The vibe was great also, that is until the little blond bartender upstairs was giving everyone a bitchy attatude. We bought 3 drinks and told her to close our tab. She keeps the card and continues to take orders around the bar. We got her attention and told her that we wanted to close the tab (assuming she didnt hear the 3 of us screaming at her that we wanted to close the tab). She got on her high horse and told us that we had to wait our turn. By the time she got to us, we already drank the weak ass drinks she poured.This high and mighty bartender needs to find another profession. She definitely knows how to kill the mood and run off patrons. We decided to go to Blakes and had a much better time.

My GF and I visited MSR this Memorial weekend, it wasn’t too packed nor too empty it was nice and chilled. I’ve been meaning to try their hookahs... although $25 an hour seemed a little steep I went ahead and approached the hookah girl who seemed to have an attitude, when I asked for flavors available she picked up the cans and read them to me as if she was going to fix the hookah for free.... the music was loud so I couldn’t quite hear her, so I went with whatever I had understood and asked for a grape with a hint of mint.OH MY GOD!! When I tell you it tasted like I had asked for Mint with a hint of grape... the flavor was so harsh on my throat I kid you not I took about 5 puffs all together and walked away.I was charged $5 gratuity (for the service I received I didn’t find it fair) and tipped the girl $5 more so she knew it wasn’t about the money... It would be nice to have a nicer person serving these hookahs so that perhaps guests/customers can feel comfortable like in my case to have her change or take off a little bit of the flavor so they are at least smokable.Anyway, the 1 star is for the Service I received only, the spot is still a fave to go to and have me a good time!

I actually went to an event during the day. My girlfriend was performing amongst other people. The food ( brunch food) was nice. The bar is well stocked and the service is top notch. There us a whole other part to MSR for dancing etc, but the top area where I was nice and roomy.

10/10 sooooo much fun, great music and people. The bartenders are all so sweet and very strict about wearing a mask when ordering which I appreciate more than anything. Theyll also customize your drink a bit if youre nice about it and if its not too busy. Theres also hookah and connect 4 which was a delightful surprise for me, especially when youre the queen at connect 4 💅. Crowd doesnt start to come in until like 10-10:30 so if youre trying to come when its in full swing anytime after then is good. Chicken tendies are delish but more importantly THEIR TATER TOTS ARE TETRIS SHAPED!!!!!! Also security is fab, all v sweet and didnt mind me stepping outside every 2 seconds for a smoke or walking my friends out as long as youre prompt to show the wristband. The drag show was also d i v i n e. Life changing even, every single time one of them brushed against me I swear I creamed myself so please make it rain hard on them. Just a heads up tho you will probably end up going home with a stranger cause the girls showing up here are literal angels walking this planet 🙌

This is a fairly negative review with a high rating. I like this spot, we went last night, there was a drag show. The drink I was poured was not watered down the same way some people have said on here. The bartender who poured it was fairly rude, to me and to other people I saw her interact with. Mid thirties brown, hair pulled back into a low bun. She really more than anything seemed to just have patients and anger issues. I wasn’t sure why she was rude to me, it was kind of sad. I’ve been in the industry for 15 years and I know better than to be rude to patrons. Maybe she’s new to it (lol) or just hasn’t learned the valuable lessons the Industry has to offer. Dance floor was impossible although I was up there for a bit you can’t see the stage unless your directly on top of it. I’m giving 4 stars because the people I met their and the regulars are holding this place up. Sorry your not so welcoming to “outsiders”

This place is a hit or miss at times.. the crazy part is is that it has so much potential please do us all the favor and do away with the drag shows/ performances they are so long and then you split them into 2 by the time its time to dance and party your ready to go hence to why the dance floor is NEVER packed during dance time... other then that its a pretty fun place. I would come more if the performances didnt take over the whole point of me going out is to dance not watch a show.

Not really a place for me, which is fine because I am not the intended patron. Was a little cramped when they had a live band play (which did a great rage against cover). Felt cramped due to security keeping at least a four foot lane open on the dance floor at all times, I’m assuming for fire safety, but made the bar area and dance floor cramped. This place is epic. Friendly folks. Amazing music. Great drinks and snacks to eat. The owners Jami and Jen are truly great people ! You’re always able to enjoy the show and meet fun new people here. A great laid back spot mid week and the best party spot on the weekend.

I used to love this place, we went for the first time since they moved to the new location Saturday night. We were excited to see the place! Walking in we loved the building, then we were told that thedance party was upstairs. So we waited for 30 mins on the steps to get to go upstairs. Once we arrived we were incredibly underwhelmed . The floor was actually moving to the point we didnt feel safe. Music was terrible and just overall a horrible experience and so disappointed. What happened to MSR???We will not return.

The general automasphere is okay. different crowds and music is nice.they don’t ID you when you buy a drink which is odd. i guess anyone can get in. also the bartenders lie about the drink prices so they can get some change out of it.the performers could be better. arica is really rude and is always in your personal space taking pictures. it’s kinda uncomfortable. you’re just trying to have a good time and you have a drag queen just snapping and video taping you away.if you want to feel welcome this isn’t the place.

Let me start this by saying my daughter is grown and did not make the smartest choices. She went for a drag show and said it was fun though being short she couldn’t see the stage well. She drank too much too fast and didn’t feel well so stood in line for the bathroom where she got sick. She was with a friend who said that she didn’t make a mess, and was quickly in and out. Apparently there was a bouncer outside the bathroom who told them they had to go. I don’t have a problem with this. My problem is that it was almost 2am and they put my daughter and her friend on the street, refused to let them call their Uber or get water before making them leave. When they got outside there was apparently a strange man hanging around. Fortunately a lovely couple walked outside a few minutes later and said they didn’t feel comfortable leaving my daughter and her friend by themselves and waited with them until their Uber arrived. My daughter should have been more responsible but I don’t think this was handled appropriately.

The workers at the door are terrible we paid to just pay more money to drink with no disclosure. Why pay to get into a bar when the party is down stairs. We were denied entry downstairs even with more money given for no apparent reason. When we discovered that we paid to simply be upstairs to pay more money to drink we left and more than likely won’t return. The atmosphere is great, however the workers at the front are uninformative and not personal able nor any help. We went and enjoyed ourselves in previous weeks and came this week not knowing we were paying to simply be upstairs and drink. Management needs to strongly advise what staff their hiring and what info they’re giving to customers. If I could give no stars I would based off of one night.

Visited Atlanta for the first time with some friends on a random weekend. No plans just went with the flow. We ended up at MSR and had an absolute BLAST! The bartenders were very social and friendly! The people were a great time as well! I would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking to have a good time!I had such a great time next time I visit ATL I will be visiting MSR!

One of last Lesbian bars in the US (only 21 left in the US as if 06/2021) theres two floors with a huge patio located off of The Basement. Drinks are pretty much $10 a pop. Wings and fries were yummy. Hookahs were pretty cool too.

The only thing this place has going for them is that the staff is fantastic. I have not been to my sisters room since it moved from Decatur.This place was nothing but kids and hip hop music. there was no variety in ages and no variety in music. So if you dont love hip hop and rap music and you didnt just turned 21, I say go find you another bar.

I have mixed feelings with this place lol. Ive been a frequent costumer for the past 2 years. I cannot comment on the food or drinks as Im not a drinker. My review is solely on the club and atmosphere experience!When I 1st attended this place Ressie was the dj there along with zquared and theyd alternate. Also, burlesque and drag shows werent being split into two like they do now. In my opinion splitting into two just drags it on for way too long and it just takes away from the club experience for Friday and Saturday. After awhile youre just standing there ready to go home lol. The performers arent that good except for 2 so it really does need to be cut short in my opinion or get rid of it altogether. I think thats the main reason the club goers leave at 1. Its packed when you get there but between 1 and 2 more than half of the club has left. This happens every time I go and when Im there I go for 2 or 3 Saturdays straight. The dance floor is literally dead and empty around that time. In my opinion the Dj needs to have a better feel of the crowd. No one is hardly dancing at times so thats a good indication to change up the tune. Dj Wulf and Dj Squared need to pay attention to this although she has been improving a bit more ☺. Its always good to play a variety of genres but dj Wulf makes you feel like u are in a solely edm club so I dont go when hes there. I think Fridays are the best nights. Its more trap hip hop r&b reggae latin and some old school pops. Saturdays are not that way and I think Saturday should be just like Fridays. Kia is there and she really interacts with the crowd. Saturday is missing all that. It lacks consistency thus making it a hit or a miss. This is literally the only lesbian club in atlanta. Its friendly, i always feel comfortable coming here but it needs to improve on those two things. This club has a lot of potential! It really does! 😊. Maybe they should cut down the shows to 30 mins minimum. We are there to dance after all not watch an hr long show that isnt good most of the time. As of recently the bathroom upstairs hasnt been the cleanest. It does smell and sometimes not all the ceiling fans are on. All in all this place can be awesome if they do improve on these areas.

I wish I could give 0 stars. Absolutely terrible. The owner (yes I know exactly who the owner is if you read this) was EXTREMELY rude and had absolutely no reason treat me, and my friend I came with, the way she did. We were invited by her son to come support (who was DJing) then got tossed around by security like we were outsiders when we had nothing but respect for the entire place and everyone there. I ended up leaving 20 minutes after being there. I WILL NEVER BE GOING BACK. If you would like to contact me to apologize, I will remove my review (but we all know what pride is). Thanks!

I think the bar and crowd were great but when you’re going in through security, they get far too handsy on a woman’s chest - it was uncomfortable and had I know that would be the pat down, I would have turned around and found a different place to enjoy a drink and friends

My sisters room is a place I stumbled on in pure hunger, however when I got inside I quickly found out that this was a ladies bar if you follow me. None the less I was made to feel welcome and feed very well I even saw my very first drag show, what a lovely crowd of people.

I’ve never felt so discriminated against as I was coming to this place. A group of my girlfriends we able to to get in a minute before me and my girlfriend but we were stopped at the door and not able to enter even for a second to use the restroom or talk to our friends explaining that they weren’t letting us in. It’s clear that being LGBTQ friendly means alienating anyone who doesn’t fit the profile. As a guy being turned away at the door only says I’m not welcome and I hear the message loud and clear.

First off I would give MSR 4 STARS BUT THIS IS Y NOT. I goto MSR often enough. I read a review about the wings and Yes they cooking them a lil to hard!!light skin stud bartender kind of slow seem like she be skipping me or something. Sometimes the girls not all that fine but it depends what u like. Maybe those were not fem Fridays lol. I would this suggest this place for any gay or bi/ curious female. For the guys they have so many other places for u but the WOMEN THIS THE BEST SPOT IN ATL FOR US.

A drag show at a lesbian bar, it was one of the most fun things Ive ever done. I danced with a drag queen, it was magic. Ive never been in a space like that before, I could just dance with my girlfriend and not have a second thought about it. It was nice!

They Need help Making wings. They were overcooked. When I complained I was met with resistance. I was told that they would be cooked the same. way. So dont order the burnt lemon pepper its too burnt to taste the lemon pepper. They had the nerve to charge me 20 dollars.....Never Ever Ever Again!

The vibe in there was DOPE! The music was on point! And the bouncer was cuuuuteee😏I havent danced that much or sweated that hard in a looong time. We had some family that lived in the area tell us about it and I regret nothing! They also have hookaaahs!

Im a vegetarian and they had some food options I could snack on, such as fried cauliflower, cheesesticks, and fries. They also have cheese nachos and salad options. If youre looking for more vegetarian fare than that then eat before coming here. The bartender was cool. She was friendly and professional. Also music was lit. Thanks to Kia Comedy!! There is absolutely NO FREE PARKING around so be prepared to pay. I paid $8 to park on a Sunday....

Googles times for sundays was incorrect. Open 6pm to midnight. We arrived at 530 and they were still getting set up for an event but allowed us to come in and play pool anyways and been in a good while. Thankful cause we drove an hour just to eat and play pool.Very kind. Good customer service. Good food.

This is one of my favorite places to go. I usually go on Friday nights, but decided to meet friends there on Saturday. I think I had even more fun than usual. Fantastic!!

I always have a great time when I come here. Gotta also give props to whoever maintains the restrooms - cleanest Ive ever experienced in any bar/club setting.

It was way different when I was younger. Just not the same feel anymore. It has changed so very much. I wish they would go back to the old ways of doing things. Real shows. Bring back the old school performers and music! I know times change, but it just doesnt have the same feel. I miss the good old days. I guess I am just getting old. lol Not a bad place at all... just miss the way it was.

While i like the more centralized location of the place, that comes with a big downfall of dealing with traffic in the more congested area and pay-for-parking when the old location had free parking.  Thats a downside, but thankfully we can park a little distance away and walk to alleviate that.The much bigger issue is the layout of the place.  The dancefloor is separated upstairs, versus in the old location where you walked into the dancefloor, and even the pool table area was right off it so you could hear the DJ.  So to enjoy music and dance, which is what i really go to clubs for, you have to go upstairs because the downstairs is really just a bar (and a pool table area).  You cant hear the DJ music and theres no room to dance. The problem is that, once the dancefloor upstairs gets at capacity, you have to stand in line to get up there, so if no one leaves, no one is getting upstairs.  In the hour + that i was there with friends last night, we never made it upstairs.  The line was always long, starting on the staircase to get up there, and it rarely moved. I dont go to clubs to stand still in a staircase or on line to get to the dancefloor.  MAJOR buzzkill.I might try it again, just earlier in the night, to try to get upstairs, but i never experienced this at the old location.  Maybe if they charged to get upstairs like i read they were going to do in the Georgia Voice, it might have alleviated the situation with less people willing to pay, but maybe not. But, honestly, until they find a better fix to address that (expand in the building or outside it, or pipe the DJ music downstairs, etc.) than to just get there earlier in hopes of beating the crowd, we more than likely wont be back. We were a group of about 10 people, we enjoy good drinks so we tip well, and we love to dance (and MSR has always had the better DJs due to their inclusion of hip-hop and pop r&b to the mix) and have a good time, so it sucks that we feel we cant support this business in the new location.  I hope they find a way to fix this.

Everything was fine until I stepped out to smoke. By the time I stepped back in, I was being charged 10 bucks just to re-enter. I informed them my wife is at the bar eating and that I stepped out for a moment to smoke. They refused to let me back in to join my wife. We then decided to leave because of the bad hospitality.

Me and my wife enjoyed ourselves we had the best time of our life. Minus the shooting and ducking where we come from in Michigan. If anyone come to atl hit my sisters room up I bet yall a love it

Bar wasnt very welcoming to men. My partner and I visited on a Friday evening and we were pat down by security before being allowed to enter, which didnt necessarily bother me but once we inside the environment felt cold as staff largely ignored us and the female patrons occasionally give us cold stares.

No longer feels like a safe place after this establishment prioritizes a good image over treating queer folks with respect. Hateful people outside the community treat the bar like they own it... will not be coming back.

It was a pretty okay place. The downstairs DJ was okay, but the real heat was upstairs. Which had an incredibly long line. The drinks were reasonable and tasted pretty good. I would visit again.

The new place is so so nice, and the bartenders were quick and friendly and as usual the karaoke was so much fun! Cant wait to go back every week on Wednesday!

MSR sucks!! They use to be friendlier when they had the space in East Atlanta. Others are right...they are no longer fun and now they charge for everything! Msr is one of the safest places in Atlanta. I’ve been going here for years and have enjoyed the service and music!! If you are in Atlanta you must visit!

First bar/club I went to! Drinks were super expensive & everyone was very respectful! The owner was coming around and asking everyone how things were.

The place is totally disrespectful the management is disrespectful I paid my money to get in for management to send security to put me out not even telling me the reason why I got put out but took my money walked in walk right out so I dont know if it was an insecurity problem but it was definitely my birthday weekend I would never go back

Run don’t walk!! This place gets packed on weekends. Cover is $10 which is kinda pricy since no other bars really do that but a good time once you’re in.

Only attractive lez here is the fem owner...not the other 1 obviously. Dont know whats up with their security.. They let anyone in. They got a tiny dancefloor . . u wont know what rapist u will be mingling with. It is strange how trashy it is here then you got their snobby staff and a little ftm dude looking down at you for not being one of them. Its located on a dark corner of town where u think muggings probably happen every hour.So I wouldnt advise any1 to go here especially when their are 20 clubs down the street in well-lit areas.. Big dance floors.. Professional security,,, relaxed atmosphere. Face it, msr is garbage now.really let the lgbt community down.

Amazing ambiance! Great bar staff and diversity in patrons; upbeat vibe and an unmeasured sense of comfortable experiences! Love this place.

Niky is awesome. But there are too many rules. Other bar tenders will ignore you. You got to relax and make it easy for everyone

Club was to small for the crowd. The show was lame the DJ was ok she played a lot of upbeat songs, the atmosphere was good

So people before you walk n were great everybody very friendly at the door all races welcome here 10 to get in on last satuarday when we went there was two levels on for just drinks a beautiful outside space up and down stairs pretty chill they dont play the best music bt they do play the more popular music on the radio from all stations they have steps to go upstairs they were wooden and steep bout 12 of them lord lol the music they play is like 2005 Rihanna with a trap song then a lil Im sexy in you noe it kinda alternative LGBT community

I was happy 2 be here on St Patricks day the vibe was fun. Loved that it wasnt congested especially during this epidemic. Masks still needed thankfully

Fun little place however someone knocked over my drink right after I got it on the bar and they charged me for a whole new one. They could do better.

I am giving a 5 star review for the owner! I had a issue and she responded to me within 5 minutes. She was very polite and professional.

Loved the energy there and the queens show was great. No one felt Luke a stranger.
