I got a full hour, private massage concentrating on my back my neck and shoulder area. It was the best massage I’ve ever had. My technician was Alan. He did a fantastic job. Really getting into my tension areas and working the knots out. I will definitely be coming back. The service was excellent and the price was definitely fair.

I recently experienced an exceptional massage in Zen spa coffee road location. The skilled therapist delivered a tailored massage that melted away tension, leaving me in a state of pure bliss. I left feeling rejuvenated and ready to tackle the world anew.

Definitely not enjoyable. Way to ruff. Been here several times with no issues. Then when we gave tip the guy said oh that’s all, yes that’s all, he laughed and said oh your funny I want more. We walked out. The couples massage was not enjoyable at all. Will definitely find another place to go for now on.

Wed. July 5, 2023. The reason for my one star is for the way I was treated. The massage was very relaxing. I got the hot stones too. After the massage I paid. I believe it was the owner. She was very sarcastic during the time I was in the standing in the lobby. I asked her if I could wait in the lobby on the sofa because I dont drive I was dropped off. I have cancer and she just looked up and down at me with a serious look. She didnt say anything. I said, I liked your service but I dont like the customer service at all very sarcastic character but the Stockdale location are very nice and I went to wait outside for my ride.

If I could add 0 stars I would. First off, my couples massage was not good. I had John and my boyfriend had Amy, John was way too rough and smelled like cigarettes, he kept going and coming out of room. My “hour” massage was not even a hour more like 30 minutes. They focus too much on your back and not your lower body. My upper back feels like if I got punched in it that’s how rough he was doing it. After we paid I gave her a 7 dollar tip just because I didn’t feel like my message was good and she snatched the money and said tip is 20% I said we’ll keep the money for you I didn’t like my massage and she gave me a dirty look and took off walking like a kid who just didn’t get their way and went to tell the other people that were there working. I will not be coming back here. 110 was not worth it for us.

Me and my husband just had the best couples massage ever at the coffee and hageman location. We called about 10 minutes in advance. They were able to get us in right away. We were placed in the same room. Perfect temperature. Perfect lighting. Very quiet, soft music. The employees were so kind and made us feel completely relaxed. The massage lasted as long as it was supposed to. It wasn’t cut short or anything. We’re both so relaxed it’s nap time 😴 thank you! We will definitely be back!

I didn’t know massages were so painful 😖 !! I had massages in the past and enjoyed them but the one I received today was so painful and uncomfortable. I asked three times if he could ease up and he continued to put as much pressure as possible. I lasted 40 minutes and finally had enough. I will never go back to Zen Spa on Coffee Rd again!!!!!

I would highly recommend this place . This was my second time ever going to a massage place . My first experience at a different place was not great , so I was very hesitant to ever return to a massage parlor. Took my mom here as a treat for her birthday and we both had a wonderful Experience. The front desk lady was very friendly, and asked if this was our first time and explained what we needed to do to prepare for the massage. The massage ladies did a excellent job! My mom and I both left feeling so relaxed and stress free ! The front desk lady even asked us after how we enjoyed our massage. We will be returning!

Don’t know how to give massage .Person giving me massage was falling asleep. Not relaxing at all person giving massage kept talking and making noises when he wasn’t sleeping. Forced me to pay a big amount for tip. The so called massage was very uncomfortable the whole time .

The massage was good and I think the pricing is reasonable. My massage was interrupted a couple times by the lady stepping out to take care of something going on up from and she stepped out for a few minutes twice to get supplies. I think it would be nice if they could have everything ready in the room so time isn’t taken out of your massage for them to get things. She used hot stones which I had not asked for but they ended up being nice. $50 for a one hour full body massage, you probably won’t find better pricing than that but it didn’t end up being the most relaxing experience for me.

This place was great. Got a couples massage for my wife and myself and the lady at the front counter went out her way to make sure we were well taken care of. We will be coming back again

I’ve been a regular for years, and have recommended many people here. I hardly ever had any bad experiences, maybe once or twice when I forget to ask for deep pressure, but most of them would do a deep tissue without even being asked. Thank you Zen Spa

Massage felt good but they didn’t give us the full 60 minutes. My husband’s massage started a few minutes after mine and was done at the same time mine was finished. When I looked at the clock, we still had 5 minutes left. Meaning his was even shorter than that.

This was the worst massage ever. We are not from the area so I THOUGHT I was choosing a good place with a good price. Never again. The room was well lit and noisy. I have carpet burn on my back from the towel. They massage your back with a towel 🤷‍♀️ they should at least invest in white sheets. Out of a 90 minute body massage 80 of that was in the back only and out of the 80 minutes 70 of that was with a towel on. The other 10 minutes was hot stones that they did NOT bother cooling down. Never was our head, arms, hands or feet touched. We both have burns on our back and bruising on the spine. STAY AWAY. I should have known they werent legit when they didnt ask questions or even offer water afterwards.

First time, I went in and got a combination massage (30 min body, 30min foot) for $40. Second time I got the 60min body and 30min foot for $60. Absolutely authentic Chinese massage therapy, even better than the massages I got when I was traveling in China. The therapists are experts in working on my pressure points and reliving the super tensed mussels especially on my shoulders. Worth every penny.

Went to check out a 30 min couples massage. Communication was limited at best. No one spoke much English and we had to talk to someone on the employees phone. Strange. The massage was pretty nice, but there was a lot of conversing between the masseuse and masseur, which was distracting. My girlfriend said no oil, but got oil. Then upon payment, they required a tip. I was ready to tip $20, but this place lacked professionalism.

I came by as a drop in one Sunday with my husband. The service is amazing! They offer complimentary beverages while youre getting whatever treatment you choose. Their folks are very gentle, professional, and talented. I had one of the best pedicures of my life without breaking the bank. I continue to make appointments (as this is usually more efficient) and use this as my regular spot for nail care!

I went in for a massage. I requested the 75 min massage. I got 1 hour 5 minutes. His hands smelled of smoke and he had NO clue what he was doing. I have always had a great experience here and was highly disappointed in the services today. This was a huge treat for me and sadly, I will never go back again. Complete waste of money!

I stumbled in last night hoping to just get a price list and maybe check out a brochure - I love getting massages and facials but havent found a place I *love* yet. I met the owner, Jimmy (nice guy) and he gave me a tour really quick of their various spa rooms and managed to talk me in to a 1 hour foot rub. With a $5 tip for my massage therapist, it was still only $30!Honestly, for the free drinks they offer, the excellent customer service and the environment youre in (the interior decorations and low lighting and great soothing music) you cant beat this place. It just opened, so it was super quiet when I got there, but I know that its going to catch on that this place is amazing. I just hope I can squeeze in a few more massages before they get booked :)OH, and I work long hours, so the fact that they take walk-ins and are open late ROCKS.

I love this place!!!!!! I had the neck and back tension issue for years which cause a lot of headache, so I required the whole body massage. The therapist is very friendly and knowledgeable. She found the sore muscles which caused the headache right away. I felt much better after she worked on it. The hot stone technic there is very special and can make you feel so relax. Make sure you request it when you go there. Highly recommend this place.

The massage was good and I got a couple’s massage, but when I went to pay and leave a $5 tip they said no and wanted $10 for each of them and I didn’t want to and they got kinda mad.

I have been going to Zen Spa weekly for a deep tissue massage for about 3 months now. They are wonderful! I love it. A weekly massage is really so helpful in relaxing my muscles. I feel better all week.

I came here today to have a good massage and feel relaxed. The masseur here is very good. The spa is clean and tidy. I will come back,

My gf and I loved the couples massage here! Both therapists knew how to relax us and give deep tissue massages using warm stones and oils that are good for the skin. Couples looking for good anniversary or Valentines Day gifts should check this place out :)

It was an okay massage. Not sure if I would go back but the men there were nice and respectful.

Friendly and great service - you can relax here. Only thing that was a bit of a negative was that a tip is mandatory which is stated in small print at the front stand up menu. Again, great location if you want to TREAT YOSELF

The health department needs to do an inspection - Immediately.After reading positive (paid for?) reviews my boyfriend booked us a couple’s massage. Our appointment was set for just a bit after ipening hours. When we walked in, the establishment has a rank smell, we were escorted down a dingy hallway to our room, in which there was clear water damage to the ceiling and walls. The general state of the room was reminiscient of a dirty motel you regularly see in horror movies.There are NO professional massage beds. Some kind of makeshift table that has a towel -and a pillow. THERE ARE NO SANITARY PAPERS FOR THE PILLOW OR “MASSAGE TABLE”. They did have a roll of paper towels in the room, and our pillows had a paper towel on them. One was not clean, but had some oily substance.We had requested a female massuese, we were told they would have to “wake one up”. Oh, I didn’t get to mention yet - in several of the client service rooms, there were individuals sleeping on the “massage tables”. Our appointment was at 10:30am....why are there “employees” sleeping on the tables where clients are to recieve their services, right after opening hours? Good questions. We didnmt stay for the answersWe walked out.For myself, i have been getting massage treatments for about two decades, from Posh Spas, to in-home, to corporate, to budget, hole-in the wall establishments. I have had the range of incredible service experiences to mediocre, but never, EVER, have I enountered an unsanitary eatablishmnet like this. Nor have I ever walked out of one. You don’t have to be fancy to be good, but for heaven’s sake you have to be clean and professional.

Overall great place to get a massage. Had a full body massage, and felt relaxed when I left there. Definitely a great way to let go of the stress from home/work. Recently new ownership and prices/deals have changed.

The massage was excellent. The massage therapist knew exactly where all my pain was. Once I left my back has been feeling so much better. I would highly recommend going to Zen.

Beware of these guys. Not a great experience with massage and at the end they force you to pay a 20% tip. That’s scandalous

So I got a couples massage with my couple havent gotten one in years and they did a Really good deep massage on our tens areas a lil painful but felt amazing after wards the hot stones they need to give a warning bish that was hot 😂 but was tolerable after wards I had called Ans they said they took cash An card but then asked for card only and I tipped but they laughed they wanted more 😒 I thought that was rude but over all it was ok experience.

I got the chance to try this beautiful spa while visiting a friend in the area. I have to say this spa is awesome.The therapist and treatment are amazing and affordable. I wish I can find a spa like this in my local area!! If you are looking for a good spa salon in Bakersfield, I strongly suggest you to try out Zen Spa. Nothing better than getting a nice massage treatment at a good price.

This is the worst place ever! I got a foot massage and the person giving me the massage reeked of garlic and cigarette smoke. I thought I was going to puke. I left early and gave him two 20s for the $30 massage and he kept my change. I was so grossed out and disgusted I just left. It was the worst experience of my life. DO NOT GO HERE!!

I got to try this spa last weekend when I went back to Bako visit my parents, the service was amazing. The shop is very clean and the staffs here are pretty nice . I felt super relaxing. I will definitely come back again.

This place is rockin 💆At Zen Spa, the customer service goes out of their way to make my sessions enjoyable and comfortable. Everytime I call to check for availability, they are always accommodating. I would recommend this place for your next spa session.

I often get migraines and tension in my neck, the lady here always ia very attentive to my needs and massages through but especially in areas where I experience tension

I absolutely enjoyed my shopping experience here and got a fairly good education on what to look for in mattresses. I havent bought yet but am going back to buy from them for sure.

Older man was very very rude and said something in his language that sounded very mean and made ugly face expressions at me. Paid for 45 minutes and received about 30 minutes. Don’t recommend there money hungry

It is the worst service this afternoon I went for a foot massage for 30 minutes and he only did it for 20 minutes, when i was go to pay he told me how much tip I told him that only $ 2 because he did just 20 minutes and he got angry and I threw my card, the worst service

I do not recommend this place at all, my boyfriend and I paid for 60 minutes and they stopped after 50 minutes and the two women kept talking during the massage and at the time of paying we left 10 dollars as tip and they said that they needed 20 dollars more Tip, Im not going back to that place.
