I called and got an appointment right away. Callie the receptionist / Manager is lovely. Very kind and costumer friendly. She quickly understood my requests for a reflexology massage and selected a therapist who really helped with my pain. Frank is the best. Ask for him.
I left there the most relaxed I have felt in months. Great foot massage at a good price. Highly recommend it.
Anyone on here ripping this place to shreds because it’s not the Four Seasons needs to get a grip. You’re getting a $40/hour foot rub. The place is a great value and gives a nice massage. Are you in an open room? Yes. Is it relaxing and professional? Yes. Check your ego at the door and relax… it’s a spa.
I specified all the focus areas and requested that my new tattoos be avoided, but still experienced the worst massage.Additionally, Apple Pay isnt working.
If you are looking for a private massage this is not it. You are packed in one room with other people. The place is clean, quiet and the staff do a great job. The price is affordable and fits the atmosphere. I watched them spray down, clean every bed and change the sheets after ever customer. Had this been a private massage I would have given 5 stars 🌟
So first, my massage was amazing (I had John, I think). However, I didn’t realize there were no private rooms. I find this so annoying when I’m paying 120+tip for a 90 min massage. You get the same for 70+tip at Happy Relax on Pico and you get a private room. I really don’t understand how they can call this a boutique spa or luxury spa when there’s no privacy. The only thing thats “lux” about it is the location.
I hate to leave bad reviews but…this place was by far the worst massage I’ve ever experienced - and I’m here to warn others that the workers seem miserable and it shows in the low effort massage. My masseuse put no effort/pressure at all on my body and it left me feeling the same when I first came in. I had an achy body after a long drive from Las Vegas and was in need of a massage. My regular massage place (Aurora) In Beverly Hills was closed for the day due to lighting issues so I thought to try a new place. Worst decision ever. I booked a 60 minute body and foot massage combo at 9:00 p.m on a Sunday and the guy put no effort at all into my massage. How can someone call what he did to my body a massage? I honestly don’t think he was licensed at all. I’m not a licensed masseuse but I know I can do a better job than him at giving a massage. I felt pity for him and still gave him a decent 25% tip on top of my $60 massage because I know they aren’t paid well. I felt as if I didn’t get a massage at all! Oh well…. Wasted money. Now I know where not to go. Also the setting of the place is awful as well. The lighting is so bright it’s not relaxing at all when you lay down on your chair for a massage - the light was so strong it felt like beams when laying down in my chair - Also the setting is open so you can see and hear everyone else getting a massage. The place isn’t big either so you can hear people walking by outside. Bummed out but oh well! Time to get a massage at a different place tomorrow to make up for that lame “massage”
I came here the ending of May 2022 with my fiancé as a walk in and were taken into the massage area in under 10 min. The establishment was impeccably clean and the foot reflexology that was performed by Charles was the best one I’ve ever had. My fiancé also enjoyed his foot reflexology experience. Will be returning for a massage when I’m back in LA.
Don’t ever come here if you’re looking for a good foot massage. I had to ask for them to apply more pressure as it felt like they were just rubbing their plastic glove to the one spot they decided to massage. After asking 4 times to apply more pressure I still didn’t feel as if he was putting any effort into it. I ended my 1 hour massage 20 minutes early. Thanks for nothing.
The location and price of the massage is appealing but my experience was ruined as my massage therapist exuded a foul odor of cigarettes which ultimately gave me a headache. Also it is one shared space as they don’t have any individual rooms. I unfortunately will not be returning.
Its okay, definitely good service, reasonably priced. Not necessarily my preference.I had an hour foot massage reflexology. She did a great job, but I wanted more pressure and a deeper massage.Theyre super clean, covid safe, and the couches are very comfortable. If you dont need as much pressure as I like, this might be good for you.
When they first opened it was pretty good. The last two times I went it appears to have gotten “lazy”. I spent a full hour reflexology and basic laid down as the person rubbed lotion into my feet with no pressure. I thought to myself it could be a one off and sometimes it happens. This time I literally had the same experience cut my session to 30 minutes from an hour because of how bad it was. The person follows me the the cashier and basically waits there for the tip. I walked out only wasting $40 and feeling very Moisturize but not very satisfied. Good luck with your session!
5 stars for the price in Beverly Hill. Every place in town charges min $140 an hour.I paid $75 for 90 min body and feet massage. Its a small place and you lay right next to 5 other people. All one open room. No private rooms. However the massage was good, convenient and dirt cheap. After 3 days of exploring Hollywood, it was a great treat. Or you can pay $280 at some fancier places.
Girl at the reception was very unprofessional. After I paid 69 for a 60m full body massage and decided to quit early on after 30m due to the person talking loudly over me to his coworker and smacking his lips in irritation as if he did not want to massage me. I felt an awkward vibe and told them I would like to make my payment in full even after 30m only. The mixed girl with big curly hair very rudely asked for a tip 3x after I politely said no due to the fact that I was stopping early anyways and still paying in full !! I wouldnt recommend this place it was bad vibe and bad business.
The first appointment I felt uncomfortable getting a massage with so many people in the room, but the massage was good. The second appointment the woman was aggravatingly slow and with her attention somewhere else. I saw the back room and it was dirty with food and things they use for clients. Very unprofessional.
The most horrible experience. My massage was already off to a bad start when my masseuse just through a towel over my face and it hit me in the eye. She’s didn’t care and didn’t pay attention. She either massaged way too soft or way too hard. Again no attention at all. I kept telling her but it didn’t get better. She started the massage at 4:10pm and by 4:55pm she left for 5 minutes to get a wet towel to end the massage. I didn’t enjoy a single moment of my massage. My husband had the same horrible experience. Don’t waste your money and time on this place. It was just terrible start to finish.UPDATE/ Response to the Owner: Everything mentioned in my review above I mentioned to you personally after my appointment but you clearly didn’t listen. My experience at your spa was so bad that I felt obliged to write a review (this is only the second bad review I have ever written in my entire life). It’s shameful you tired to silence me.
Ive been to both locations in Beverly Hills and Santa Monica and have had thee best massages. Both massueses were very kind, gentle and knew what they were doing. I left feeling so relaxed and at ease. Love this place!
I’ve traveled the world having foot massages and this is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. They were late by 10 minutes, after repeated requests for more pressure they still did not give it. Then they finished 10 minutes early on a 60 minute massage. The manger told me originally I did not have to pay. Then charged me half on the way out. Avoid this place!Update:If you want to see the true nature of these people look at how they responded to my partner Stella. They have a problem that both of us decided to write reviews. Your response are a joke. You are trying to make it out like you are an attentive business with amazing service. You are not. Your staff are unfriendly and disinterested in working. They don’t speak a word of English and are unable to respond to any requests. They were constantly yawning, getting distracted and not paying attention. The fact that we were charged a single dollar for our experience is appalling. What makes it more shocking is this is Beverly Hills!! You would expect a higher level of service.Don’t bother with this horrible little place.
Zero stars if I could. Booked massages for 3 of us a few weeks in advance. We arrived and they were overbooked, we waited nearly an hour for service. The person who helped me was chit-chatting with her co-workers the entire hour. She could care less about her job, like I was a joke. When she went to massage my back, instead of asking me to turn around or lift my shirt, she yanked my top so hard that the seams ripped. One of the WORST spa appointments I’ve had in my life. Dont waste your time or money at this place.
I had a 90-minute reflexology session on 8/29/2020. The foot massage itself went fine. I found Floura, who was working the reception desk, to be unprofessional. She wasnt appreciative about my payment for the $49 session with my credit card, and made a comment about the unwanted fees from the company and how the spa wasnt busy enough to flexibly accommodate card payments. As a customer, this is not my problem and these feelings shouldnt be made known to a customer as if Im creating an inconvenience. I had already called in advance about card payment and there was no sign in sight about preferred cash payment. Professionalism and customer service is always key, and my experience with Floura unfortunately fell short of this.
Clean, quiet and relaxing environment, with skilled professional staffs. I felt absolutely amazing after my full body massage at BAO foot spa. I spend most of my time behind computer, and to exercise I run a lot. Combination of foot and head massage was perfect for me. Highly recommended.
I visited BAO Foot Spa for the second time and once again greatly enjoyed the experience. This is a traditional Chinese style message location. The message area is a dim quiet open room with reclining chairs built for message. I selected the 90 min foot and body. As a male I wore gym shorts and a t-shirt. I removed the shirt once seated to allow for better message. It started with my feet being placed in a warm water bucket while my head shoulders and arms were rubbeed. This was followed by a foot message. After, you roll to you stomach for a back message. I had some deep shoulder and upper tension form weight lifting and they were able to work hard into all my trouble spots releasing the tension just as desired. I plan to be back soon and would recommend!
I am SO addicted to chinese foot massages! This one is well priced, clean, and americanized (which is nice if you are scared of the ghetto sketch ones). They add flower petals in the foot soak, and serve you iced cold water in a nice crystal glass at the end (nice touch!). I love all the male masseuses, but Ive gone a couple times where the female ones were too light with their touch. My coworker complained that the face part sometimes smells like drool (which I agree with). I guess that part is super gross, but I think its worth it for a cheap rub down!
Awful experience. I had a 20 minute massage - all up - however massaged only for maybe 10-15 minutes. Charged 30 (35$ is for an hour) and couldnt wait to leave this place. Terrible Saturday afternoon experience.
Absolutely Wonderful Massage Therapists
Make sure your booking at the right location!!! Googled the number for the Beverly Hills location and called that one. When you call on location and they don’t pick up it automatically gets transferred to the other location (which I didn’t even know existed), but they don’t let you know which location is picking up the call. Tonight I hired a babysitter and booked an appointment at what I thought was the Beverly Hills location because that’s the one I called and when I show up turns out that my call had been picked up by the Santa Monica location and my appointment was made there unknowingly to me since no one mentions which location is picking up the call. The Beverly Hills location won’t take me because they are fully booked for the night and I barely get a I’m sorry. When I suggest that they need to let people know which location they are calling when answering the phone they act like it’s a crazy idea, don’t understand how they don’t see the problem they are creating and truly disappointed with the lack of customer service and care!! So truly disappointed with this business!! Ruined my night!!!
My left foot was hurting for days (pronation+ jogging with cold & unstreched legs) and I just asked for an hour of foot massage, with hot stones. I was hoping to get rid of the cramped, knotted inner sole muscles. What I got was the best foot massage ever, the therapist -even not speaking a word in english- understood my problem and added some other extra back massage to straighten my spleen, corrected my posture. Some parts were painful, I have to admit it, i was in the brink of a complaint, but, i felt that he was experienced so I let it go. The masculine thouch was disturbing for me, cause I am a ticklish man. (I survivded the giggling:). I will definitely go again for another session. It was worth every $.
Despite asking the masseuse to tone down the pressure he was using, I left with significant tenderness and bruising. The window has a sign stating they ask for proof of COVID vaccination but they never did. In fact, a few of the staff members were coughing during the treatment which made me uncomfortable. I will not be returning
Great value not only for the area but in general. Got a 15 minute massage just to work out some kinks in my neck for 20 bucks plus tip and they did a great job.
Clean, affordable and great service. I came here for the first time and enjoyed a combination massage to thee fullest. Great place for anyone looking to relax and ease tension.
I have been going to Bao for over 5 years and have always enjoyed the service. The pricing is hard to beat. Parking can be a challenge, but there is a city lot south of Charleville on the East side.
I had a fantastic time there... great massage, relaxing atmosphere and professional staff. Definitely recomend if you need a bit of relaxation.
Great price for good acupressure massage de-stress, recharge, free 2 hour parking a block away, and Urth cafe nearby for complete 2 hr regroup/reset experience.
Great experience with Coco. Such strong hands ,my back feels much better the next day. Clean and quiet place though
Amazing place good service
Excellent massage and great value.
Bad experience: this place is small and disorganized. The staff are unprofessional and lazy. They do not care about giving a good service. I will not be back.
Best massage I had in awhile. The prices are unbelievable too!
