Gel manicure. Awful. She never sterilized the tools. She slid right over from her customer to me with the same ones. My cuticles are NOT clipped and cleaned up. There is polished caked around my fingers. It looks worse because my cuticles weren’t done. No lotion or hand massage. If you can’t manicure me, you can’t do anything else. I will not be back. I literally could’ve done this bad myself.
Very pleased with my first experience at La Vie Nail Spa! I got a gel manicure that turned out beautifully and my husband had a maintenance mani as well. Both of our nail techs were so kind, skilled, and efficient. We’ll definitely be back! Some extra positives:-Easy online booking that includes service details and pricing-same day appointment (based on availability)-friendly staff-clean and inviting environment
Have been here quite a few times, it’s always hit or miss. A few techs are really good. A couple are not. I started going somewhere else more consistent but decided to come give them another shot out of convenience. The lady at the first desk when you walk in on the right was doing my nails. She was on her phone the whole time not paying much attention, when I showed her how crooked my nail was and asked for it to be redone (mind you, only at the tip step) she argued and said no your finger is crooked. I asked her to straighten a couple of them out so they wouldn’t grow out like that and she refused. The receptionist came over and saw they were crooked and offered to rebook me for the next day but I can’t do that. I had an appointment for that day for a reason. The lady doing my nails did not only not do a good job but she was rude, unprofessional and honestly will make me never come back here again. I left with my previous nails off and then sanded down because the gal refused to do them and no one else could. I got in over at a different place thank God but it surely was not pleasant. For the amount they charge you would think they care about quality and professionalism- I strongly suggest going elsewhere to get your nails done.
I am a long time customer! I love this salon. Everyone is so nice. I buy gift certificates as presents to friends and family. I treat my hubby to pedi-dates here and when my daughter comes to town we book family pedis. But they got extra bonus points from me when they happily allowed me to bring my dog in with me! I had back to back nail appointment and vet appointments and did not want to leave him the car in the heat. They are so awesome. Thank you!!
I had the best experience after coming from a horrible nail salon a while before. The gentleman who did my acrylic set with a nail design did a wonderful job. I got so many compliments. Definitely recommend!
Nancy is the only tech in the world that I would ever let touch my nails. She is the very best and her shaping is second to none!I would recommend them (and have) to anyone I meet. I have been going to La Vie for years and will never go anywhere else. I get SO MANY COMPLIMENTS every time I see them!I promise, you’ll never regret getting your nails done there!
Daisy 🌼 was amazing doing my pedicure! She is my absolute favorite! She was so patient and helpful while I picked out my color. I also get bad ingrown toenails and she was so gentle when removing them I couldn’t even feel it. I love it here and everyone is amazing but she is my favorite. I’d give her 10 stars if I could ✨
Despite having a car rampage through their wall, the crew at LaVie demonstrate skills and talent without missing a step. I love their comradary with each other and how comfortable they are when attending to each client. Thank you LaVie for taking such good care of us!P.s. My manicure had to start from scratch due to a couple broken nails. I do love this Dip method. Feels like acrylic but isnt. My moms been getting it for many months and her nails have grown so long and strong. We dont have naturally healthy nails so this works great.
My daughter and I were looking for a new salon for our pedicure and decide to give this place a try. We were very impressed by the quality and time spent to perfect our pedicure. We had Amy and Jackie, they did an awesome job! Best pedicure ever!
I have gone here multiple times and had good experiences. This time was not. The lady who did my pedicure did not ask me what I wanted. Did not get my hang nails and finish in less than 25 mins. She hurried through my appointment. 50 dollars is a lot when you don’t get good treatment.
Tldr: if you get seated with the older gentleman, run away or wait for one of the ladies. Clean salon with nice massage chairs.Full review: I recently came in for a regular pedicure and got seated with an older gentleman (kind of assuming he was the owner, they looked short staffed and just got a vibe he doesnt usually do pedicures) and had the most bizarre/worst pedicure ever. He trimmed skin on my big toe so deep with the cuticle clippers within the first two minutes that I was actively bleeding - no acknowledgement as my toe was bleeding into the water. Later when he finished my cuticles he took a moment to trim his own callous on his hand!!! My toe continued to bleed for a few days afterward and hurt for a little over a week. If you get seated with him, just run. I will get up and leave if I go again and get him. However, if you get any of the ladies here your pedicure will likely be amazing. They are very thorough and do a great job with cuticle care and polish application. Theyre the only reason for this not being a 1 star review.
I came to get a pedi from here since they had alright reviews. The lady who did my pedi didn’t completely remove the previous gel off my toes especially on my 2 big toes when I told her she got bothered and cleaned it off a little better but not completely just added the new gel over it. She left my cuticles all red and they are sore from over cutting. On top of that I asked for my nails on toes to be square some came out crooked. I’ve never had a pedi as bad as this one.
Probably the worst salon I ever been too. Ive attempted twice . First time was an absolute nightmare. Went in for a simple fill and 3 people later I left with nothing I asked for and the gentleman who removed the set I just got the same day, nicked every finger with the drill under my nails .Second attempt was done by a lovely young girl but had terrible application for a basic mani and pedi. I left wity having them to get re done somewhere else .
They are amazing here!! So nice and friendly and happy to please. I got my nails done for my wedding and wanted a natural look with a specific flower on my ring finger and they got the best artist to make it happen and it turned out just like I imagined! Im so ecstatic about my beautiful nails! The pedicure was so relaxing def recommend for anyone!
Best nail salon in Boise! Everyone here is kind, accommodating, and very generous with their time. Kayla is an incredible nail tech and will for sure be asking for her services in the future. Also, I unfortunately did not catch her name, but the receptionist is SO sweet. Lastly, the salon is VERY clean, which is important factor for me when getting these kinds of services. It’s no wonder this place is always busy….. 5 stars!!
Always excellent service! As a repeat customer, I can say that La Vie always delivers the best of the best. All of their staff members are amazing.
To start When the gentleman doing my nail cut, my nails one was really off and I asked him to fix it and he did not so it looks messed up, and then I asked for a color and he did not give me the correct correct color and didn’t ask me if the color was correct when he was putting it on my nails.. I had never had cat eyes done, so I did not know the process and thought that he would put the correct color on. Very disappointed with my experience and the customer service.
Our Deluxe Pedicures were amazing! Great attention to detail, and of course the hot stone massage was fantastic. Thank you for a relaxing visit!
Not alot of flashy nail designs but mine look great! The pedicures are amazing!!!Update: 4 days later my polish bubbled up on some of my nails and peeled off. It was sticky and rubbery. The rest of my fingers are already chipping and the look awful. I had to remove the polish on my thumb because the matte polish bubbled up so bad my nail was extremely rough from it chipping and coming off. Im not hard on my hands. Im a stay at home mom with 3 teenage boys. I am not happy with the gal who did my nails. I would not suggest this place. I paid quite a bit and it was not worth what I paid! I gave 2 stars only because the eyebrow wax and pedicure was good.
After searching for a nail person that I would like I was told today that the nail tech did not want to take me as a client because of an arm issue! This place is very expensive (55.00 for a fill) and the nail techs don’t even have conversation with anyone but themselves in their language! I will not be back 🤬
Kay at LaVie Nail Spa does my nails all the time. She is incredibly talented. She always follows the picture I bring and get it right every time.Kay is very professional and sweet lady. I will highly recommend this place to everyone who wants a good service, clean and professional environment and very good nail technicians.
Kim has to be the absolute rudest nail tech in Boise. I’m not coming back. She literally yanked my hand and was beyond rude when I was trying to explain the design I wanted.
Kayla does my nails and is always so meticulous- I’m impressed by the quality of detail she puts into all the details that matter to me. The salon is very clean with so many nail options!
Im a guy whos finger nails were a mess. Searched for a nail shop near me, Spoke to owner, he set me up with an appointment for the next morning. I sat in station 2. The lady who did my nails fixed the mess. Im very satisfied. I certainly will use.them again. Even though Im 80 I appreciate beauty and talent! Thankyou!!
This salon is amazing! I came in for a fill, and had a nail missing from a poorly done job at a different salon. The lady I went to was very gentle with my nails and cuticles (which I really appreciate). The color I originally wanted was out, and she tried to find a similar color for me! I appreciated her trying to give me what I wanted, instead of telling me to chose something else. I asked her if there were any designs she liked doing, and she told me that she was happy to do any design I like and would like to follow and reference photo. Although the price was a bit expensive, the cars and attention to my nails was phenomenal and I will definitely be coming back!
This is my favorite place to go for pedicures. The hot rocks are so relaxing. Their staff are very friendly and do a great job!
This is more of a factory than a spa.I felt like I was inventory moving through an assembly line. I tried to engage with my hard-working technician, but that clearly isnt the protocol. My simple mani-pedi involved dremel tools and pain.Definitely not my jam...
If I could give this experience 0 stars I would. This was one of the worst pedicures I’ve had and worst customer service experience I have ever had. I came into La Vie looking for a pedicure and they told me they had gel and regular polishes. I decided to do regular since I try to limit the amount of gel I get each year. The pedicure itself was rushed and I had to ask Kayla multiple times for things to be redone (cuticles, filing, etc). After she did 2 coats of polish and the top coat, I noticed that there was inconsistency on my big toes with the color and she then told me that was because this color usually needs 3 coats but it would take longer to dry. I said I didn’t mind another coat being added since I’d like it to look consistent. She then took all the polish off and started over, which wasn’t what I asked for and created extra work for her! After she did the 3 coats she then stood up and said I couldn’t put shoes on for 2 hours for it to dry. Turns out they don’t have dryers for regular nail polish— I find it insane that they would advertise regular polish as an option and not have the dryers, forcing people to walk outside in 30 degree weather without shoes unless they want to ruin their nails. The attitude I received from Kayla and the La Vie staff was unacceptable. Not worth the money.
This is one of my favorites. Amy and Tim are excellent! Especially if youre looking for nail art.
I absolutely loved my experience here- the vibe was wonderful, and despite how banged up my nails were when I came in (from me working a manual labor job)- she took me last minute and did a spring theme ombre for my nails :)
I booked two deluxe pedicures online and they both started and ended at the same time. No wait and excellent service
This was the worst nail experience ever. We booked pedicures for a vacation for 3 friends. They were out of the first 3 colors we picked, and the colors we did pick were completely different than the samples of those colors. They rushed us, and tried to do manicures at the same time when I specifically booked those for after. I asked them to shape my nails and she cut them completely off. I repeated twice and my friend said stop cutting! By then, half of my nails were gone so I had to let her cut off the rest. The front desk person was too busy watching videos on his phone to pay attention to anything. The whole experience was chaos. My vacation nails are ruined, and it was a completely unpleasant experience.
Worst, Pedicure I ever had! I walked out of there, bleeding! The man that did my pedicure was very hard on me. He broke my skin while he was taking off my old gel pedicure. I got a two minute massage and it was very harsh with his glove on. I have two bruises on my foot. I will never ever ever, let me repeat that, ever use that place again. cost me $48 for a pedicure to walk out of there in pain and bleeding. I should’ve complained I just wanted out, this happened today September 6, 2023 never again will I walk in this place and I have used them for years. He knows who he is.
I always have a great experience at La Vie! I have never had to wait more than a couple minutes…All the staff is friendly and good at their craft. I am so happy I found this salon!
I went in with two friends for a fun mani/pedi before our vacation. What should have been an enjoyable experience turned into the worst nail experience I have ever had. I booked manicures for AFTER the pedicures, but they did them at the same time, which was chaos. They tried to balance UV lights on my lap while moving my legs for the pedicure, things were falling, and I couldnt even talk to my friends or enjoy anything. The first 3 polish colors we picked were gone, couldnt be found, or a completely different color than the sample. The color I did get wasnt the same as the sample I chose. The girl doing my manicure asked if I wanted them short. I told her to just shape them and she proceeded to cut the first nail completely down. I repeated to just shape them, and she cut again. My friend even told her to stop cutting, but by that time she had 4 nails shorter than I have ever had them so I had to continue with the rest. The nails are so short that my fingertips are sore. We were rushed through the whole time, they talked to each other constantly, even looking at each other while trying to file my nails. The guy at the front desk was too busy with his phone to acknowledge us either coming or going, but had plenty of time to share videos and jokes from his phone with the other employees. I have been here before, but after this experience I will never go back. Do NOT support this business.
The BEST! If youre not getting deluxe mani pedis here youre seriously missing out.
The staff at La Vie are very considerate, they texted me that they were running 15 minutes late. And if we could accommodate them, or we could reschedule.Thank you La Vie!
Great spot!! The owners are fantastic, the online scheduling option is super helpful, and everyone in there seems to have so much fun working together.Ive had dip, acrylics, and pedicures done there and recommend them for any and all of these. They have a huge selection of dip colors, just FYI. 😊 Ive never had gel manicures done there, but in sitting next to other customers and seeing their work, it appears they do an incredible job with those as well and do not cut corners. I never request anyone in particular for my pedicures because I think Ive had nearly everyone in there and theyve all done an amazing job. Ive never had a need to pick a favorite and dont even know that I could. 😊
DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY...$40 pedi, really? Nicer spas in CA, with MUCH better service and pricing. Got a sorry, we dont have when I asked for spa bubbles while soaking, which I did for 20 minutes before someone came to work on me. I went to have a relaxing experience instead I had to listen to the employees constant chatter, I mean.. the whole time. 4 Customers & 4 employees side by side on one side of shop... to talk? Yes I think so. No one asked what type of treatment I wanted. Laughable polish selection if you just want a regular pedi. Never came back to check on me if dry. Went to pay, employee didnt know how much to charge, had to go ask someone. Do Not support this establishment.
So… I didn’t have high expectations when I had made an appointment here. But I waited too late to go to our usual salon and wanted to get pedicures for myself & my daughter for her birthday..I had a young man as my nail technician and my daughter had a female technician. I don’t know If my tech was practicing bread making but the ‘ massage’ was less than pleasant..took the little foot pumice.. stood up.. and braced himself as he began sawing away at my feet!!! And my feet aren’t bad at all!! We paid the extra $15 for the ‘Deluxe’ pedi… which was to include a 4 hot stone treatments…hot towel treatment.. scented lotion. We chose the lemon scent which smelt like dish soap..a waste of the $15 .. don’t waste your money. The paint job looks good ( we did regular polish)..but our feet are no more ‘spa like’ than when we came in. The cost of this experience wasn’t much less than a high end spa where you get a Real pedicure… these folks act like they could really give two &$&?%#’s about you as a customer…and the kicker was how rough they were!! Seriously… take it down a notch. It’s been a crazy couple of weeks and I was looking forward to a relaxing pedi with the result of pretty toes, yea not so much. All in all.. paid too much for what we got…service is a 2 star at best.Oh.. one thing I forgot to mention… he commenced to pulling on each toe to pop the knuckles…Who thinks that’s a good idea to do on a customer??!! What if someone had been healing from a hurt toe.. or has arthritis? Don’t Pull on your customers toes to pop them!! NOT OK.
Last minute on the weekend I called to get in a much needed pedi. They got me right in, it was very busy- but I felt well cared for and the environment was clean and calm. My toes got the TLC they needed and I was out in just under an hour. The charge was fair and I was relaxed and happy with my overall experience.
I have gone here for many years. They are consistent with their services. Ive gotten to know a few names but they dont really bond w/ their clients probably due to language barrier. They do talk with each other a lot in their language and sometimes it comes off as rude. The lady I was sitting next to this last week was trying to explain she didnt want sugar scrub, the worker got irritated with her and then began the chatter between her and my pedicure lady. I noticed the client didnt even get the lotion massage but she was nice and didnt say anything else. The receptionist came over and tried to interpret in the middle of it. Wooky is the owner and he wasnt there but he ALWAYS tries to take care of whatever is going on and make sure you get a good service. As far as me, I go there for pedicures, but I used to get gel nails and designs a lot and they are good. they are clean from all I have seen. Yes they use the plastic bags in the pedicure bowls but that is sanitary for sure. They have you wash your hands the minute you get in, no matter what service. they prefer cash and you wont get a punch unless you ask on the punch card. There is an ATM there. They are busy and they work hard but will take their time on your service even if they are slammed they do a good job . My favorite is the spa pedicure. Make sure you let your person know what service you want because sometimes no communication between desk and the person working on you.
Amazing service, amazing results. The best nail salon in the Treasure Valley!
Probably the worst experience ever at a nail salon, the man who did my nails YUN or whatever was talking and looking around the entire time he was doing my pedicure. He was extremely rude and condescending. I then was sent to a lady to do my manicure, and I asked to get my cuticles done. She got mad I even asked and began acting rough. I booked an appt to get a manicure and pedicure, that I am paying for & they made it seem like the biggest inconvenience. Seriously terrible service. Honestly to the owners, I’d reevaluate the employees. I used to love this place but lately it’s not it.
I came in for a manicure last week and it was lovely. I got a dipping manicure instead of acrylics. This was the first time I visited La vie.I can’t do my nails on my own very well because of my mild CP but it was a completely comfortable process. One of the other aspects I appreciate is the complete online booking process for efficiency.
Nailed were chipped TWO HOURS LATER. Worst manicure I have EVER had. Total garbage
Holly is absolutely amazing and does an awesome job taking care toes and feet ♥️
Ive used this company for the last year. Before that it had been 25yrs since Id had my nails done, now Im a regular. Recently I was unable to get an appt & used another company. Mistake...wont do that again. They fixed my nails right up and they always try very hard to make sure you get what you want. The pedicures feel wonderful. I actually feel like wearing sandals, no toe shame, lol. Seriously, Im very happy with their services. They literally can do anything you want. If your particular tech cant do what you need another tech will take over. Give them a try. The prices are competitive with other salons and youll walk out happy. Thanks to all the techs whove worked on me.
They did a great job for a walk-in Momma+Daughter Date. Stella had a blast getting her 1st pedicure. I enjoyed watching her have such a great time and talking with her tech, she got hot stones, towels and a sugar rub...she said shes sweeter now 🤣. My gel pedi was good, 1st time ever doing gel and the pricing was very fair. This place is pretty great for Boise.
Stingy with their punch card! Two of us went for our appointment, pedicure was good. We were checking out and the lady doing it seemed very confused! She couldn’t understand that we were paying separate so I gave in and just paid cash for the two pedicures and we would just sort it out in the parking lot. I count out $100, service was $90 she hands back $5, I look at her and she then muttered something and she gave me the other $5. She hands back the punch card to my friend and I ask if I get a punch card. She then blurts out only one card stamp per transaction!!!! I said we were trying to pay separately and she was the one who made us pay together, I couldn’t believe it… I don’t think I’ve ever been treated so rude over a punch card! She wouldn’t give me one… We gave our tips to our manicurists and left!
I went in for a pedicure. Lead to believe that it would be a QUALITY nail salon. Disappointed that the young lady who did the service could not speak a word of English, so was unable to share with her my needs, except for an interpreter . She cut my toenails down to the skin then proceeded to file them as well, which lead to a painful exchange. I did not see ANY sanitizing of tubs between services, just a flimsy plastic bag over the soaking bowl. The polish was very old and needed a good tablespoon of nail polish remover to make it solvent. The nail tech looked so bored the entire pedicure, this is certainly not her passion, but a means to an end. I am not even sure she likes what she does for a living. Hard to rate this nail salon as anything more than one star.Responding to your reply to my recent review.Im a bit confused about your response. First, no one in the nail salon wears a name tag. Secondly, my nail tech couldnt speak English, so unable to determine her name. Please keep in mind that a person who serves the public needs to speak English. That is a given. I was a walk-in.Your receptionist did not take my name. Hopefully I have offered a tactful response to your inquiry.
Quality is ok.Charged for my kids same price as for adults $45 simple manucure and then also say they require a $10 tip. So for what they charge and the quality should give them more like 1 or 2 stars. You can get better and cheaper service somewhere else.
I have NEVER EVER been treated so poorly… tech was clearly not happy to have to help me, scowling the entire time, rolled her eyes when I asked her to repeat herself. When I asked that she trim my cuticles She said it would be extra and she would do it after the fill ( current salon does it before the fill and doesn’t charge extra). My experience is, If the trimming is done after the fill my visits have to be more frequent. They don’t offer a unique product. they don’t do an outstanding job. or offer better pricing but at least one of their techs will treat you like dirt.
The staff is very friendly and they do a really nice job on your nails. I would love to just stop there but I wanted to let other people know that they don’t clean their tools well at all a lite spray of cleaner at that. I recently went for a pedicure which she did a great job with and I love how many nails turned out but the next day when I got home I noticed that the tips of my toes were red and sensitive I looked it up on the Internet and it said that it was a particular type of fungus from the clippers so now I have had to soak my feet in vinegar and put antifungal cream on the tips of my toes to try and help it go away. It has totally discouraged me from coming back or even going to another Salon which is a shame cause I love getting my toes done. I just wanted people to be aware of this I’m sure it doesn’t happen to everyone that goes there but it did me.
This was my first visit to this salon. I took my six-year-old daughter to get a gel manicure and I got the regular spa pedicure and added on a manicure because the girl said she had time. But I really did not have a good experience. The ladies were rushing appearing to try to take more on then they could handle. The girl that was doing my daughters nails would keep getting up to answer the phone, check in people, start the spa for the next customer, and I paid for a gel manicure of $27 for my 6 yo (so she can stop bitting her nails) and the girl spent like 10 min on her. Clearly half a**. Will not go back. Oh and to add the girl that did my nails did a super quick lotion massage after she was done painting my nails so that she can start the spa and get the next customer ready.
The prices and service is amazing. They know how to make you feel special without charging you an arm and a leg. I really enjoy getting a pedicure there and take full advantage of the deluxe package. This place is not just for the ladies so if you need to to get your nails done then stop by La Vie and be well taken care of by professionals who know what they are doing. Did I mention this place is very clean and beautiful.
I don’t claim to be an expert in this field. However, these guys truly do an amazing job on pedis. Every time I go here I just have the most amazing experience and my daughter also loves it! Thanks
I love La Vie Nail Salon! The staff are always friendly and in great spirits. The gentlemen who did my pedicure was nail artist #10. I had a small cut on my foot and he went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure I was comfortable and he didn’t get any product on it and made sure he didn’t hurt it either. He had cheerful conversation and he was very light hearted and humorous. I will definitely return for another pedicure!(:
Tim was amazing! Im new to the valley and have tried a few places but La Vie Nail Spa will be my go to place. I love that you can make an appointment ahead of time, very clean and relaxing inside.
This place is really good, especially if you request the same nail technician every time. I go to T for dip powder nails and she always does a great job with quality. I’ve had hit or miss experiences with random pedicures and different nail technicians, but T is always awesome. La Vie is also always good about answering the phone and the girls who do the scheduling are professional, honest, and straight to the point. My only recommendation would be to have some type of online scheduling! That would make this place even better. I’ll definitely continue going for dip powder nails with T.
My mom and I were in Idaho for a few days and decided to get pedicures. After looking through different nail places and reading reviews I found this place and was able to make an appointment. We were so happy about the service we received! Our nails looked great and the pedicures were awesome, Ive never been anywhere they use hot towels on our legs! Felt so nice. Going back in a couple months so were definitley going making an appt.
We had the best time here today!Very last minute, I invited my 2 cousins to join me for a pedicure meet up, and La Vie was able to accommodate same-day appointments for us at the EXACT PERFECT TIME!They treated us like royalty, made sure we were comfortable at every turn , and paid attention to every detail to make it a fun, and memorable, experience for us!The spa is clean and well appointed, and everyone was helpful and welcoming. I loved my visit and will be back!
I dont like getting pedicures, because I have had really bad experiences in the past. I also have a hard time communicating to some of the nail places, because of their broken English. My daughter 17 wanted to try a new place and its something we did when she was 5 and just wanted some fun Mom time.So I let her make the appointment, even though I really was not in the mood. Its taken almost a year since my last experience of telling someone not to clip or dig my toenails out. I bled for about 2 months after my last bad pedicure. I only go about once every 2 years or so, because of my experiences. So I walked in and they told us to pick our polish and go sit over there and we did. Looking around though I did notice how clean it was and it smelled good too.The gal that started working on my daughter first spoke very little English and I was thinking oh great, were doing this again! My gal comes over and actually asked me what I wanted and if i needed anything, I was so happy! She also spoke English very well. I told her no clipping, no digging and about my last experience. She was wonderful! I even let her do one clip she promised to be extra careful. We chatted the whole time and I will go back!!!My daughter had pedicure and manicure, she liked my gal, but her lady was a little different and seemed to do what she wanted instead of what my daughtet wanted. So we will be going back, but we both want to see the same lady next time!Tonya is her name and shes great.
So I came here a little while ago I had a broken nail and my nail salon was closed so I went to this place to have him fix the single nail and it ended up looking better than all the other ones, so I decided I was gonna come here next. I just got a full set of stilettos from Kayla and she did absolutely amazing. I’m kind of picky on shape and what not; I wont lie, but she KILLED IT! 10/10 recommend and I will absolutely be back, thanks Kayla!
I came in for a fill today which is listed as a $35 dollar charge. I feel like this is average and I dont have a problem paying that amount. However, I wanted designs on my nails. Since I was getting it on every finger, I expected to pay $5 or $10 extra (maybe even $15 at the most). The guy who did my nails ended up charging me $25 just to do the designs. My total ended up being $60 before the extra charge that they gave me to pay with a debit card and also tip. The man who did my nails was nothing but nice and clearly wanted to make my nails right for me, but I am very disappointed with the amount I was charged. I also had already been disappointed with the color selection as they didnt have much in the color I wanted. After already feeling as though I compromised on the color situation, it seemed crazy for me to pay $60 for a fill with designs, which I didnt even know would be the price until checkout. Overall, they were nice but I left feeling overcharged and dont think Ill be back.
I went in with my mom & sister to get our nails done 2 days before my sons wedding. It was meant to be a relaxing break from all the stress. Total fail.My nail tech, who never gave me her name, seemed to be in a hurry. She rushed through both my manicure & pedicure & was extremely aggressive in grooming my toe nails. Unfortunately I didnt notice until after wed left, that shed actually caused 8 out of 10 of my toes to bleed. Not only that, she apparently had conversations about it with her co-workers in their native language but never said anything to me.She scolded me when I pointed out that she was applying the wrong polish, because she didnt verify the color first. It was fixable, but she kept scolding me which was a bit demeaning. My toes were painful for at least 5 days afterward & I almost couldnt wear the shoes I bought for the wedding. The cuticles on my fingers have never been so shredded. If this had been my first mani/pedi experience Id be soured on it forever. This place was highly recommended by a friend. Not only will I never go back, I will also never recommend them.
My nails looked amazing and I had a good quality experience. The only problem was that prior to my appointment I asked how much a full set of acrylic nails would be, a man on the phone said they would be $42. When I got to the salon papers on the wall also said the nails would be $42. When I payed it was $70!!!! I was very shocked and upset because I had specifically booked this appointment because it was in my price range. I am very upset about this. If you want good quality nails they are really good and I loved the service but the pricing was not transparent at all.
By far the best nail salon in the treasure valley! Clean, timely, and all of the staff do wonderful work!
One of the few places to get a great dip. Love Nancy’s work. My nails are perfect and she does a great job with designs and ombré. So much fun.
I love this nail spa! They are the best in the area !
This place is often busy and the atmosphere is relaxed. A lot of people walk in and are irritated they can’t get an appointment on the spot. I find that so disrespectful. Call ahead and make an appointment. They are incredibly kind and my nails look better than ever. My daughter is 8 and often goes along. They have a special pedicure chair for kids and the prices are great. Such wonderful people, quick service. Highly recommend.
Been getting my nails done for years & I just moved to the area and this is probably the worst place I have been to. The paint didn’t dry so they bubbled up and pealed off the next day. I went back a couple days later to have them redone and the same thing happened, went back one more time and the same thing! Not worth the time or money!
Tanya was amazing! Best pedicure Ive ever had! I got the deluxe deal and the massage and care taken with my pedi was amazing. Superb compared to anywhere else! I highly recommend La Vie Nala my niece had a full set of nails and they are the best quality and attention to detail I have ever seen! Same with my gel polish on my toes! Tanya was easy to talk and laugh with great customer service. I will be coming back for sure! Thank you for making my Saturday!
I am visiting from Utah and had some free time, they got me in fast. The Spa was clean, and for those who are worried about covid they took all the precautions; all had masks on and had us wash our hand before they did anything. Kim did my nails and toes, it was her first day working at this spa, and she is amazing! I recommend her to everyone
This was my first visit and I had my dip nails removed. My entire visit was pleasant and everyone who works here is professional. I like that there are so many nail stations. I did have to make an appointment which wasnt a problem. When I have my nails done again, I will definitely be back
I was expecting to have a pretty good experience based off so many good reviews but I was severely disappointed. I went a week ago and my appointment that I made a few days before was at 10am, I arrived on time and was asked to sit and wait. After 30 minutes of waiting my nail tech (Dominique who I heard great things about) finally was ready, she came over and asked what color but didn’t apologize for the wait or even greet me. It only took her 45 minutes to do my nails but they did not look very good. I showed a simple picture from Pinterest and she did not execute it very well (blue polish with some simple white lines). She said maybe two words to me the whole time but chatted with her coworkers the whole time. I left feeling very unimpressed. After she was finished she did not put on cuticle oil. Later examining my nails the polish was uneven, see-through, polish was not all the way to the edges and my nail was separated from the acrylic on almost every nail. My nails were bothering me so much that I took them off after only a week. For such a highly rated nail salon I really expected more.
I have always had a good experience at La Vie! Dominique is open to all of my crazy design requests and does an awesome job. She always makes me feel at home when I’m there. I also appreciate all of the staff that have gotten me in on short notice when I break a nail or need a quick nail fix. I recommend this place to everyone!
Dominique at La Vie is absolutely wonderful! She takes great pride in her work and the care of your nails. She is creative, and loves to work together to make sure youre happy. She recently just got went out of her way to get me in and fix a chip in one of my nails, she is fantastic!
Overall good experience. The place is clean and they had a lot of color options. The gentleman that did my pedicure did a good job. I also really liked the massage chairs here theyre better than most places. Id likely come back just for that!I came in as a walk-in and they were able to get me in within about 15 minutes. The only thing I was disappointed by was the $1.50 service fee to pay with card. Next time Ill make sure to bring cash
I have been here twice in the past two months with my mother. The first time they were very busy and the service was very lack luster... the people were even a bit rude at times... But I am a firm believer in second chances! So, we went back this past Friday and I was disappointed again. My first red flag shouldve been the phone call: The person was very rude to me when I was making the appointment. The lady I had for both my manicure and pedicure was just very standoffish and rude at times. My biggest peeve is when a pedicurist or manicurist grabs and pulls my feet/hands forcefully and get annoyed when I cant read their minds and just know what they want. A simple Hey girl can I get your right foot closer to me would be better than having my foot pulled. As far as quality goes: they are decent. The quality is nothing I would write home about.I will probably not be giving them a third chance to win me over.
I had to short notice change our reservation because my husband and I were running late. When i called Mindy was more than understanding and courteous. She greeted us when we got there and made sure we had a great first impression. Nikki did my Deluxe Pedi and she was great. Wonderful personality, and a delight. Our overall experience was outstanding. Thank you!
I was so excited to try a new nail salon in Boise and I was extremely pleased with La Vie Nail salon! The staff was super helpful, clean, and Nancy did an excellent job on my manicure and pedicure services. I got the deluxe pedicure and has noticeably smoother and softer legs afterwards. I will definitely be visiting again soon!
Was my wifes first time. Very big shop. Friendly. Tried a new polish technique. Not sure, but think its called dipping. No acrillics this time. Causing her nails to lift and get fungus under a couple of them.So well see how this new stuff works. Its lasted for 3 weeks.
They did great work. They painted my squirmy 5 year olds nails for the first time as well. Its a little more than some of the strip mall places, but the quality and service, as well as the willingness to rectify customer dissatisfaction (as shown in the review repsones) guarantees I will choose this salon again next time.
I needed to get my toenails trimmed at a new place and chose La Vie Nail Spa. I was afraid to go to such a fancy place to get my nails trimmed. They made me feel right at home and did a fantastic job. Very pleasant experience. Happy to recommend them to all my friends. This is a first review for me, but since I chose them from reading reviews, chose to do this on my own.
The BEST pedicures! For the price and what you get (soak, scrub, hot stone massage, hot towel wrap, polish) you cant find a better deal in the valley. Minus one star because they seem to overbook and are always jam-packed with too many people waiting and not enough space. For business, it isnt a bad thing--they are offering great services and people want to come!! But maybe they need a bigger location to create an even better experience for their clients.
Leaving a review may result in longer wait times for me...but it would be unfair not to give this place the compliment they deserve. Welcoming, genuinely expressed gratitude for my business, prompt, very clean and tasteful. It was by far the best pedicure I have ever received. Yen was kind, thorough, attentive, took her time and was not distracted. I felt important and taken care of. Truly a treat for a mom taking a little break. I will never go anywhere else now!
Great service. Prices are reasonable. Super accommodating. They were able to fit my daughters and me with only a couple of days notice, and when I had to cancel due to illness, they were very nice and rescheduled us with no problem.
I’ve gone to the same place for my nails for almost 4 years but the last year I’ve had not so great experiences . I wanted to try somewhere new and this place had great reviews. I made an appointment but when I got there they couldn’t find my appointment. They still got me in and was professional and apologized for the mishap. They did exactly what I wanted, Great atmosphere and I will not go anywhere else. I found my new favorite salon
I had an appointment May 28 at 1pm . I waited until 15 minutes after my appointment time to be seated at a station. It was another 20 minutes before a technician arrived. She started to clean one nail and realized she forgot a client at a pedicure station. She left without saying anything to me and proceeded to give a pedicure to someone else. I waited another 20 minutes before she returned to me. The work stations and tools were filthy. I dont want someone elses nail and cuticle dust on or under my own nails. They overbooked and didnt have enough technicians to keep up with appointments. The majority of the employees were speaking in a foreign language to each other about clients, which is completely unprofessional and very disrespectful. When the technician finally started, she did do a quality job. I will not go back due to the level of disrespect shown for clients and how filthy the stations and tools were.
They did a good job on my nails, but overcharged me and then refused to give my money back. They charged me for two pedicures when they had already charged my sister for her own, but they realized their mistake and gave me a gift certificate to make up for it. Okay, no big deal. However, when I went back to use the gift certificate THEY gave me, they refused to allow me to use it, took the certificate from me and threw it away, then made me pay again for a service I already paid for. Honestly, it was good work, but you can get the same work for a better price elsewhere.
Every time i’ve come to this salon i leave so happy. The one time i was upset about my nails and let them know they were so nice and professional about it and redid them for me into perfect nails. I recommend La vie above any other place just coz everytime i get my nails done i always have people ask me where i got them done at and it’s almost always here . And also the people around me always get beautiful results .
My husband and I absolutely LOVED our experience here. On a Saturday, we walked in and waiting less than 5 minutes for our pedis. Everyone was so welcoming, offered us water right away, introduced themselves, and made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. I was very pleased with the service! Definitely worth it!!
La Vie was recommended to me by 2 fellow nurses I work with. It was wonderful. They give great service, very friendly and VERY CLEAN. Plexiglass in between pedicure chairs, have everyone wash their hands on entry, and they were wiping everything down after each client. I felt safe being there. I will return.
TERRIBLE nail tech customer service. I said it was my first time getting tips. I showed a picture of what I wanted, he kept leaving them too long, when I requested I did want them a bit shorter he replied “ You’re wasting my time” I need to know the length. First time, I didn’t leave any tip. I would’ve walked out but I was mid service so just had to sit there and wait the most tense 20min of process time.
My second time in and both times I had excellent service. Its a very nice atmosphere and Yen and Dave both do a great job. Dave did my pedicure both times and Yen did my manicures. I really like the whole family. The salon is very clean and they have some great ideas in the works!
I had a wonderful pedicure here!! They do not rush your service. They took time on the massage, and let me relax in the chair while my toe nails dried, instead of rushing me off to get the next person in. I loved that they use a pedicure bowl liner, and do NOT use the foot rasps for calluses that are illegal in the state of Idaho!!! The only complain would be that even though we had an appointment, we had about a 20 minute wait, and they seemed a bit confused as to what services we were there for and who was getting what. Seemed a little over whelmed or confused with a few customers in there.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. By far, hands down the BEST nail salon I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. Whenever I get my nails done I always dread getting the old ones removed-- vie always had salons take a tip, cram it in between my natural nail and the acrylic and proceed to RIP off the acrylic AND my natural nail. I was seriously worried, my natural nails are so weak and frail. Holly took her time and wrapped my nails in foil and gently removed the old acrylic with her dremel on a low speed. She didnt knick me, she didnt cut my cuticle, she didnt once gouge me or anything. I usually get knicked or cut at least once. Super soft in guiding my hands, she didnt yank me at all or reposition strongly like a lot of salons do. She was pleasant and cordial and she did an AMAZING job on my dip nails. I am sold on Dip! Its been over a week and my nails are shiny and beautful and look like I had them done today. They arent dull at all and look better as they grow out. I wont be going anywhere else from now on. A little on the more expensive side but you get what you pay for! Never again with any other salon and I will never go back to acrylic. LA Vie you guys ROCK.
My experience at La Vie was simply decent. I went in for dip powder manicure (only few salons in Boise with dip powder) and a pedi. When I walked in I was greeted very graciously by the host and appointment setter. He made me feel really welcomed! The lady that did my pedicure was extremely sweet and gentle. She painted my toes beautifully. The Young lady that completed my manicure needs a little more practice, in my opinion. The nail tech advised me to get tips because my finger nails were too short. In hindsight, my nails were not. However, I took her advice and got the tips. Initially I thought shed done a great good. The finish on the nail was really pretty, but some of the tips were crooked and seemed to lack professionalism. Although, the dip powder lasted for well over 3 weeks, which I was very grateful for, my real nails are suffering they are brittle and cracking and plain old weak. I would advise anyone to make sure the work is done properly.
Amazing quality on acrylic nails. I went about 3 weeks past my fill due to how busy I was at work. Not a single nail came off or gave hint it was going to come off and Im rough on my nails. Finally got my fill and I dont see them budging anytime soon. Also shape and color is nice and even
My mother and I went in to La Vie Nail Spa to have a pedicure. Our experience was great! The staff was so nice and funny. My mother and I left there laughing and very relaxed. I love the hot rocks they used during the message part of the pedicure. I would highly recommend this salon.
I would never come back here again! Came here to get a mani and pedi for prom. My pedi came out amazing but my manicure was terrible. She did a horrible job and was mad when I asked her to make the acrylic thinner. They were terrible and I definitely would not recommend this place for any acrylic needs. Lady working on me even told me that she can’t do long nails on me! Take your money elsewhere. This is not worth it!
This place is great! Nice atmosphere, clean work area and the pedicure was fantastic. The staff was friendly and did an excellent job. Well worth the money. Ive found my new go-to nail place. Definitely plan to be back again.
Such a beautiful Salon. The technicians are very nice and did a wonderful job. I took my mom and we both got the deluxe pedi. The massage was everything I needed I wanted to fall asleep in the chair.
Was my first time going, went with a friend. She got a fill and I got a full set.. she ripped the old acrylics off without soaking them or anything, was very uncomfortable. She rushed through them and I still got done before my friend that got a fill. Didnt make conversation and was very unhappy with the service...Will not be going back.
I had an appointment, but they ended up having a scheduling error and things just busy quick. Even though my wait was a bit longer, the manager went above and beyond to get my manicure/pedicure done and it looks nice. I like how they ensure if you have any problems to come back and they will fix it immediately. The staff is kind and they all work hard. The establishment is very clean as well.
Great service ! It was my first time here, but I was greeted as soon as I walked in and was seated immediately. The employees are very attentive, one of them asked if I needed something to drink during my visit, and the lady who did my nails was very focused with her work and finished my nails in under 45 mins with no mistakes. Definitely will be coming here again !
Everything went smoothly and I’m very happy with the way my nails came out. Very nice technician.
Came here while I was visiting from out of town and we wanted to find a place for a pedicure. Got the basic pedicure not expecting anything extraordinary. The massage lasted a very long time for a basic pedi and they even used hot stones. It was such a relaxing experience after a hectic weekend. Salon is very clean and beautifully decorated and good ventilation. Doesn’t smell like some nail salons do where I get a headache. Very happy with my experience.
Made an appointment for my girls for their first visit here and they were 25 minutes late seeing them. Had to go in circles in the parking lot due to no parking. Not even an hour later the girls both lost a chunk of nail polish in their big toes. Pretty sure they put it on way to thick and or it was old nail polish. Paid $60 plus tip.
Worst experience ever. Started when I showed up early and was met at the door with frustration that I was there and told there wasnt any time for me. I said I had an appointment, they looked it up and told me to come back. I really should have gone with my gut at this point and not come back, but with all the great reviews I wanted to know what the fuss was about.I come back at my time only to stand there, 2 away while 2 of them seem to argue about a gift certificate. No kidding, I stood there for 5 minutes before I was greeted with a chilly appointment? and go pick your color. Everything inside me said run and yet I stayed.Pedicure time. I pull out the stopwatch on my phone since I already know where this is all going. I stood waiting to be told which of the empty chairs was mine for 2 minutes. I sat iin the chair for 4 minutes before they turned the water on. Sat with the water flowing just waiting for it to overflow and the gal next to me reaches over at the last minute to save the day. And then I waited. Another 9 minutes. All in all my pedicure started at 22 after the hour and was done at 45 after and then sat for another 10 minutes. I decided maybe if I just got up to leave, someone would want money. 100% correct on that.If you value your money, there are so many better places in the Treasure Valley for LESS $$ and will value your time better.
I took my three daughters here for mani-pedis and LOVED it! They are taking many precausions for Covid-19 which was a nice surprise. They not only got us all in at the same time (unlike some salons that will stagger your appointments), they took their time to do an excellent job and treated my daughters and I with such kindness! Our nails look amazing still and its been over a week! I am so glad I found this nail spa!
Love, love, love! Not only are my nails beautiful but the staff is so friendly!
I love coming to La Vie! They have great customer service! When I arrive for an appointment there is little to no wait time and everyone is very friendly. I always see Dominique and recommend her to my friends. She is such a sweetheart and does an amazing job!
Best nail salon I have been to! My nail tech was super attentive to detail and took her time. I never felt rushed or like I was an inconvenience. Great prices and great service. Wont go anywhere else! Thank you for my beautiful nails!
Very disappointed. I am a hairdresser so I expect the same quality that I would give. I have been twice now. First to get a full set of acrylic nails. The girl glued two on crooked. I pointed it out she did nothing. She cut my finger repeatedly and the nails are atrociously thick and lumpy. She accidentally flicked her nail buffer on the floor, I picked it up for her and she continued to use it. This is against State Rules and Regulations! My 2nd experience was getting a pedicure with my daughter. Thankfully hers was done well. Mine however, the girl spent the entire time talking with her hands to the gal next to her. She scrubbed my right foot and did two swipes with my left foot. She barely rubbed my feet or legs what so ever and she kept forgetting where she was at in the process. Women work really hard and when they get to go do something like this its a treat. I can do this work myself but my husband gave this to me as a gift.
I made an appt for two gel manicures for my daughter and I. This was our first visit, and I was looking forward to trying a new place after hearing good things from a couple of my friends. We were rushed through the service in 20 minutes and my jaw about hit the floor when they told me it was $65! We didn’t do anything elaborate, just gel polish. The salon itself was dirty and I didn’t appreciate being rushed through at that price.
Very kind of them to take my friend and I in an hour before close, that’s great service. However, the quality of the work isn’t the best. I was charged an extra $10 for a full set because of the length. I’ve had 3 nails pop off no problem not even a week after getting them done. This isn’t worth $50... I will not be going back.
Love this place! They didnt rush my pedicure and they didnt skip around either like other places. the lady that did my pedicure did a great job. I love that she used her time cleaning my feet step by step no skipping and actually massage my feet/legs. I think I finally found my place to go everytime now.
Cant wait to get back in to have my nails done! Kay did my nails and she is now gone, which is a bummer, she was fantastic. Looking forward to finding someone like her when I return. Great salon, clean, friendly, timely and competitive prices.
When I scheduled my appointment over the phone, the lady was professional and polite. They figured out what I wanted, then set me up with the right tech. Kay did a great job on my ombre (dip) nails. Been looking for someone in Boise for a few months. I think I finally found my spot!
The salon looks absolutely stunning. I brought my significant other here to have her nails done and they do a high quality job. Very professional and very friendly staff. Would recommend to any person looking for a wonderful spot for hair, nails, or whatever suits your fancy.
The service was very good. However, just wondering why no soap was put in the tub?
Every time I go here it is AMAZING! Always flawless work. After I started coming here I never went anywhere else. Their customer service is amazing and their work speaks for itself. If you want a great set of nails this is the place for you!
I love getting to go here and taking the time out of my very busy schedule to relax and enjoy the art and service they bring to doing my nails, manicure and pedicures! I highly recommend this place as a way to getaway for a moment, it’s clean, calming, professional and I’m always happy to recommend the deluxe pedicure, it’s also amazing! 🧡🧡🧡
The inside is really nice and the people are sweet too,but I asked for natural looking nails and my nails were bulky and bubly and were overall uneven. Not to mention the white part of my French tip was kinda uneven, overall I wasnt the biggest fan
Love, love, love La Vie! This is my go to for pedicures. Their hot stone massage is amazing!
We showed up for our appointment at 11:30 and had to wait around for a half hour to have a spot available for us. The pedicure lasted 35 minutes and was very lackadaisically done. It was just a very under average experience that definitely did not meet personal standards; of which are apparently extremely high compared to most people when it comes to this type of a service. Definitely did not live up to the great reviews, unfortunately.I can, however, say the place was clean and the people were friendly. If youre looking for a less than average pedicure but friendly people, this is your place. But I would not by any means say this is the best place in Boise
LOVE LOVE LOVE that I found La Vie Nails because I found Dominique!!!! She’s absolutely amazing and made my nails for my bridal shower PERFECT!!! She is great and makes you feel like your one of the girls. Thank you sooo much! Coming back here and only to her!
Fairly nice experience. It was relaxing, welcoming and the staff were all friendly. They have massage chairs that make the experience that much better! It doesnt smell like your typical nail salon which was nice. I recommend coming here for your nail needs.
This nail salon is incredible! I always leave with beautiful nails! They work so hard and take such pride in their work, and it truly shows! Don’t skip out! Nancy did my nails and she’s amazing! Definitely try them out!
I have been to several nail salons around the treasure valley, most fall short.. La Vie always does a great job!!! My husband just enjoyed a pedicure, his first in Boise. Since, they didnt paint his toes they massaged his feet and legs for an extended time which was awesome!!! Keep up the great services and your hospitality..
Holly did my nails and did a superb job! She created my vision and Im so happy I found a great nail tech. The salon was clean and well staffed and I will definitely go back.
I went in maybe a little over a week ago to get a full set off acrylics done. The actual in salon experience wasnt great. It felt very rushed and the lady that helped me was less than enthused with my request ( just a set of acrylics in purple and black ). She barely filed my nails and didnt push my cuticles back. About 3 days ago my nails started lifting already, when I tell people theyve only been done a week they say they look like theyre a month old. I called yesterday and spoke with someone who said they cant help me. Dont think Ill be going back anytime soon.
Nancy does such an exceptional job on my nails! Im always happy with the service I receive at LA Vie 🙂
My two friends and I went in for pedicures and honestly had the worst experience. The minute we walked in we were met with a frustrated woman who seemed incredibly annoyed that we were there, even though we had called ahead to book the appt. We were quickly shuffled to our chairs and my technician didn’t smile or even say hello to me. At one point during the pedicure she lifted my foot, looked at my heals, and made a disgusted face and said ‘this bad’ because my heals had some calluses on them. I am not one to leave a review like this but I am a hairstylist and work with the public, this behavior is so beyond disrespectful, I would never ever treat a client this way. I would not recommend going here.
The salon was beautiful and everyone was very friendly! Everything was very clean and they were taking every precaution to fight Covid. Unfortunately I am very unhappy with the full set of acrylics that was done for me. I understand that a new set of acrylics can take a while, but it took nearly 2 hours to do an ombre set with colored acrylic. (No paint or patterns). First of all he did no nail/cuticle prep. He kept filing down my nail, and then adding more acrylic, again and again. When he was filling my nails he also filed my cuticles and skin around my nails which was very uncomfortable. It was clear that he was unhappy with how my nails looked compared to the picture I gave him, but he couldnt get it quite right. The final result is uneven, very sore and uncomfortable, and not at all cute. Ill be going elsewhere to get them fixed.
Was very unsatisfied with the work that was done on my nails. I made an appointment and when I came in for my appointment, I was made to wait for 20 minutes. Then, when I got my nails done, the shape was horrible, one nail was extremely crooked, and the service seemed quite rushed. When I told my technician the color I picked out looked very different on my nails then it did on the swatch, and that I didn’t really care for it, she made me feel bad for not liking it and I felt pressured to keep it so I did. Everyone who saw my nails afterwords said they looked horrible.
The technicians and staff at La Vie Nail are so kind and friendly. I love the way they make you feel so comfortable and taken care of. Seriously the best nail spa in the Treasure Valley
You all treat me so well…. thank you Nancy and Mai for filling in for Lavon…. you all do a beautiful job and are so kind to me….. Marsha G. Moore
Recently started coming here and have been so happy with everyones work every time. Zero complaints and easily the best nail salon Ive been to in Boise. Their deluxe pedicures are incredible.
So impressed with this salon. Its so clean and so pretty. Nails have been perfect after each of my visits. Highly recommend. I wont be going anywhere else.
Today was my first time at La Vie for a manicure. What a difference between this place and last! The woman in the previous nails salon was snotty and thought she was a princess, besides, she was not very good. Kay, the woman who did my manicure today, was very gracious and kind. The whole atmosphere was professional and inviting. I will certainly go back to La Vie, bravi!
Lavon was super! So sweet! She did a fabulous pedicure for me! Ive been to the salon before, later in the day when it was very busy, but my new favorite time to come is first thing in the morning. Its a little slower and feels much more relaxing! My personal tidbit! Thanks Lavone!!
Great staff. Good pedicure!
I called them to see if they could get me in after having a horrible set of nails done the week prior. They said come right in... I got there and the store is clean and well put together. They got me right in and solved my problem in record time! Im so happy with my new mani and will never go anywhere else! Very kind, clean and easy location.
Excellent staff and service. I called in the morning to see if I could get an appointment. They were booked for the day, but put me on a waiting list. They were able to get me in within a couple of hours.
The technician didnt speak much English. Then she accidentally cut my cuticle too deep and it started bleeding. The color swatch that she gave me to choose from didnt match the colors available. I will never return. I went in the week of Thanksgiving and was disappointed and removed all the polish before the holiday. Didnt want family to see my nails plus the one was not healed from the cut.
It was pleasant. Very busy shop. They got me in last minute and the person the dud much nails was though. Although I had a nail that had a crack, she just did a fill no repair. The person did not speak english so someone else translated for them. I did not get anything like I would like. Very simple fill and 1 gel color cost 49.50 with tip. To top it off the cracked nail is cracked again.
Ive came here a couple times now and havent been impressed with their acyrlic nails. I needed a basic fill & let my nail tech I was missing 3 finger nails & that they had to be replaced. Instead of communicating with me that I needed to get a NEW fullset she repaired the three and gave me a fill but charged me for a fullset. Not only that but she made me feel very uncomfortable because she was speaking in another language and talking about my nails with her co workers. This is the last time I will ever come to La Vie - waste of money.
My new favorite nail spot! The pedicures are well worth the money. I took my 5 year old with me and their kids pedicure is the full experience and so relaxing. The staff is friendly and great at what they do
The best place Ive been to in all of Idaho. They actually use liners in the pedi bowls and keep your appointment unlike other places Ive been; where you make an appointment and they are running 45 mins late cause they over booked or took walk-ins. Not this spa, this spa actually gets you in at your appointment!! Prices are fair.
They got me in last minute for an appointment to remove gel polish ($10) and the place is really nice looking. Lots of chairs for pedicures including a kids chair. Very clean, employees are nice. I will be going back!
I literally come from Salt Lake to get Tim to do my nails! I have random reasons to be in the Boise area.. and have managed to plan accordingly! I have tips & acrylic..He does an amazing job. And being an ex nail technician, I’m very picky! Good Covid protocol going on inside the salon as well.
Ive been going to this salon for over a year now; generally, I have a pretty good experience with them (hence why I keep going back). However, I try to make an appointment at least a day in advance, because they can get pretty booked. I dislike how booked they can get, because they accept walk-ins to a certain point (then they tell you to come back in an hour or something), and I end up waiting 20 minutes for my appointment. However, what is important to me, and keeps me coming back is the cleanliness, location, and services offered. They put plastic nettings that are thrown away after every use around the pedicure tubs (P.U., thank you!), and they bleach the tub anyways straight after they use it! I havent noticed as much cleanliness on the fingernails portion of the spa, but at least for the pedicures, things are extremely clean.Next, the location. It is literally right on the edge of Overland and Cloverdale. The parking lot is small, but you cant beat their location. Its also posh inside, which helps the spa feel more luxurious. (;Included in their gel polish pedicure is always a massage, with hot towels and stones, and they clean your feet with a scrubber after they finish the pedicure! They also put bath salts in the pedicure tub, and usually there is a TV with music videos you can watch while they work! Its a great experience, and for the gel pedi, its been running around $45, which is mostly equivalent to the other nail places around town.
Great experience. Vie did a wonderful job with my full set manicure. Perfect for the holidays. She took her time, and was professional and perfectionist. Ill definitely be back.
I wasnt super impressed with this salon, the cleanliness or the nail techs. I went in just before 2 on a Friday afternoon, sat and waited for 20-25 minutes, even after calling ahead and making an appointment for 2pm.I sat down and the nail tech was on her phone more than she was talking to me, and she had her phone on speaker sitting on top of her fan. I told her I wanted a nude color with a rose gold accent nail, I ended up with pink and more pink, the salon is dim and it did not look so bright pink inside. The tech was super rough with my hands, I asked her to file gently because I have thin nails, she filed them roughly anyways and I was in so much pain for two days after that, she smacked my hand a couple of times because one was in her way, she would also twist my fingers roughly when making sure the nail tip was filed straight. Nothing was done to my cuticles, no trimming, no oil, and I ended up with a few hang nails from the filing of my nails. However, putting the tips on she was kind of careless, my right pointer fingernail goes to the right. I even heard one tech say he would charge way more for something because that design is long, stupid and going to take time to do. Over all, the only good thing I do have to say about this salon is three weeks later and my nails are still firmly on, there has been no lifting and the polish hasnt chipped or discolored.
Went in a few days ago for acrylics would not go again. I never get my nails done but decided I would for a change. The lady didnt file my nails or push back my cuticles. I did french tips, they didnt remove all the leftover polish on my nails and I can still see the white of my natural nails. The acrylics themselves are bumpy and have a ton of bubbles in them. Beyond all that the gal helping an older lady next to me rushed her into a color she really didnt want and told her when she suggested a new one no you go with this color, this color pretty. I think the staffs lack of patience is what irritated me the most!
Super sweet staff and amazing services!! I saw Tanya and she was the perfect technician for me! I’m looking forward to going back soon!I do suggest you call and book an appointment over walking in. They were pretty busy.Overall, well worth it!
My experience with them was wonderful. I bought a gift certificate for a friend because I was so happy. HOWEVER, her experience was a nightmare. When she walked in, a woman came up to her and said no time, we cant help you. Without asking her anything. She was very aggressive and was yelling. My friend kept trying to tell her she had an appt. but the woman was still rude. Then my friend was taken to sit in the chair to prepare for a pedicure. She sat in the chair without anyone helping her for 30+ minutes. When the water got cold, she had to ask if someone would warm up the water. Nicky was the person who did her pedicure. She apologized for the woman who was rude to my friend when she first came in and said there have been other complaints about that employee. She then cut my friends nails so short that they looked like she chewed them. My friend was shocked. When she brought it up to the employee, she told her it is a good thing winter is just about here. My friend said she had a big event she was going to the next day and her outfit was set up with sandals that she now could not wear. The pedicure went very fast and the employee said because of everything she went through she would do a hot rock treatment. Making it seem that she was doing that as an extra way of making up for what my friend went through until my friend pointed out that I mentioned that was part of regular treatment as well as others around her getting the same treatment .When my friend wanted her nails done Nicky said if she wanted acrylics the mean woman who yelled at her would be doing it. She told her she could do a dip for her because she knew how to do that. During the dip another customer came in and complained about getting a dip the week before and talked about how bad it was. This all happened yesteday and this morning my friends nail already broke right before this big event. It broke as she was sleeping. I spoke to the manager Dave, who was very apologetic and thoughtful. He assured me he would talk to those that worked on my friend. He also offered to redo the pedicure for my friend. However, my friend was almost in tears when she left and will not ever go back. As thoughtful as he was and genuine, I was concerned when he said that when he is not there, they employees tend to do what they want and may not act the same way they would if he is there. I am really disappointed with this place. I originally had such high hopes. I dont recommend anyone go there. The manager truly showed concern, but the other employees there made it a place my friend and myself will never go back to.
I have been going to this nail salon for a while now. We recently moved to the area. I tried other nail salons in the area. This one is by far my favorite. Nancy always does an excellent job! Call and make your appointment today! You won’t regret it.
Lavonne was awesome! I showed her a picture and told her I wanted an ombré look then she chose the light gold coating as the finishing touch. She took her time and really made sure they were even and perfect. I loved my nails!
I feel like I got scammed! $50 for a gel manicure and for the woman to beat my nails to death and take a chunk out of my finger. She was so rushed, distracted and aggressive I just wanted to leave as soon as possible.
******UPDATE********I came back to get a crack fixed and they were apologetic for the misunderstanding and eager to make it right. They credited me back the money, even though it wasnt necessary, and didnt charge for the fix. Very pleased and can confidently say that Ive FINALLY found a nail salon I can be loyal to! Thank you Danny, Nancy and everyone else and La Vie SpaI called and asked how much for a gel mani and pedi and was told $30 for each but I ended up paying $75 when I was done. I did basic pedi and dip on my nails which I was told was $5 more, totally fine, just dont know where that extra $10 snuck in. Pretty annoyed at that. But service was good and I like the end product.
We had a great experience and our nails looked great! The manager was very friendly to us and interacted with all the customers. Our technician was thorough took her time.
Phenomenal spot to get your nails done. Had the morning of a lifetime when my sisters and nieces got pedicures all at the same time. Very clean and professional staff treated us to gorgeous feet!
I never leave reviews but this place gave me a toe infection so Im really upset about it. The polish looks nice and they were extremely attentive but the guy dug his sharp tool under my toe nail and when I started pulling away from the pain he said its ok its ok and KEPT DOING IT! My toe started bleeding and he tried to hide it with his hand as if I couldnt feel it! Anyways, I wont ever come back to this spa for any kind of service. I have to soak my toe in peroxide and put oil of oregano on it now to get rid of the infection. I will post pictures of it if I can figure out how just so nobody says Im a liar. I hope this doesnt happen to anyone else.Update 04/17/2018: spoke with Dave and everything was sorted out. He was very helpful and apologetic and made me feel better about the situation. I changed my star rating from 1☆ to 3☆ for being so helpful. Again, they didnt do a bad job on the pedicure. Just the cut. Gave me a refund for the service which is very good business ethics considering I got the service done last week. I appreciate it. Thank you!
Stopped in here first thing on a Saturday morning. They welcomed me in and made me feel right at home. My nails looked amazing and the shellac lasted almost 3 weeks! Thank you!!!!
