Fun, energetic, progressive, but off the scale loud. Way beyond necessary or useful volume during the live music portion. Unnecessary hearing damage for sure. The many young people there are probably sacrificing their hearing unnecessarily.

The drinks are great, bartenders are friendly and fast, the people that walk in are fun and their vibes are good. I’ve been in a couple of times. I’ve never been impressed with the music or DJs. I’m not sure where they find some of them, but sometimes a garage DJ is a garage DJ for a reason. There are pool tables, seating all around, and a good sized dance floor. It can get hot fast on the dance floor and on a weekend this place fills up to the brim. The main thing that killed my experience were the photographers on the dance floor. I don’t know if they are the DJ’s media, Humpin’ Hannah’s team, or local photographers, but they ruined it for us. There were at least 5 of them and they’ve got big lights on large cameras and are constantly scanning the dance floor for anyone in a short skirt or revealing top. I watched them over and over hold their camera low and angled up towards girls on the dance floor. It was pervasive and unsettling to say the least. It made it hard to let loose and enjoy yourself on the dance floor. My date was wearing a summer top with tasteful cleavage and Jean shorts, and they were onto her like bugs to a lamp. All night she was uncomfortable and I felt bad because there really wasn’t anything I could do about it. They would take video or photos and it was obvious what they were trying to do. Other than that, the decor is very amusing. There isn’t anywhere you can look and not find something new. I’ll update my review if my visits get progressively better, but the last couple of times it hasn’t met my expectations.

Just walking through downtown Boise we stumbled across Humpin Hannahs what a fun place just to stop in and have a drink 🍸 lots people mostly college students it looks like and loud music what more could you ask for . Waitresses were attentive with a huge bar with lots of room , there was plenty of parking downtown on this certain night which I was surprised 😮 lots of people walking the downtown area made the evening fun..................if this helps please follow me for new adventures though downtown Boise.................👍..................I love downtown Boise....

Hannah’s has something fun for everyone, from the live music and dance floor to dart board and games to tables if you just want to sit and chat. the staff are friendly, and the free boozy samples are always a plus.

This place was crazy. They have bras hanging from the ceiling. Hahahahum my hubby and I a drink, watched the people, and listened to the music. Its not really our type of place but everyone there was having a really good time.

Hosted our company event after party. Large location with an amazing live band that had us all dancing all night.

Awesome live music and customer service. They also have pool tables upstairs and downstairs. Very fun atmosphere!!

Patrons are asked to check coats and that included purses. Turns out you will get your coat back, however, not your purse! How is it possible that the same person that checks in your items does not return the same items back. It’s irresponsible to handout a ticket claiming their is a system in place to “checking in” items at the door and it fails bc when you return with the ticket the employee gave you, your purse is missing. And all management does is state, it’s not their fault. What a class act and horrible way to treat patrons. Everyone else in the party of 4 received their purse back except for the young lady that owned the LV. Doesn’t make sense and management should be held responsible for replacing the handbag, especially if they require patrons to check in their items. Doesn’t matter the items. They are responsible when they accept the items and hand you a ticket in exchange. So sad that a police report will need to be made and an attorney consulted to recover what was either stolen by internal person or negligently given to the wrong person. I hope someone steps up and does the right thing.

My wife was just removed from the dance floor for being too tall! The bouncer removed her and told her she was too tall to be by the stage!

Love going to the bar with my friends and families because of the best experiences with the results thank you for your information and professional attitude I will continue to keep you in mind for future and recommend this establishment and professional and very clean and respectful and professional 👌

So much fun and entertaining! Great vibe. Separate from being a fun place, the owner was so kind and went out of her way on a Sunday to help me retrieve my wallet that I left there so I could catch my flight! So nice of her!

Typically love Hannah’s, but last night was just not it. Went there with a group, got drinks, went upstairs and was hanging out. About 30 minutes later I get escorted out by security because apparently I “violated” a policy by doing something in the bathroom (they did not explain to me at all what I apparently did). Well for one I didn’t even go to the bathroom and two I didn’t leave my spot the whole night. I even was apparently identified by staff which that dude needs to get his eyes checked. However, it was just not it all I asked was to explain myself and let them know they had the wrong dude, but they refused and kicked me out anyway. They need to fix this type of system if staff cannot accurately kick out the right people.

We went here for my best friend’s birthday and we were literally kicked out because of the way she looks. 🤦🏻‍♀️🙄 sorry she was born that way.

If you don’t go to Humpin’ Hannah’s when you visit Boise… You haven’t been to Boise. Hannah’s is a Boise nightlife monolith! A guaranteed good time. The Rocci Johnson band is amazing!

I enjoyed this place very much, great atmosphere with amazing talent, the staff here is awesome.

I called the bar with my complaint first, and they couldnt care less, so here goes -During a Pride event, staff removed a woman from the womans bathroom because she looked too much like a man.... Like they have never seen a lesbian with short hair?!A different woman was visibly upset and said she was a woman. They just didnt have a way to be sureGuys, if this is how you treat people during a Pride event, youre only in the event for the money it could make you.Not impressed.

5 stars to Shaun who was posted as the bouncer on the stairs all night. At approximately 12:45 AM, a gentlemen became aggressive with his flirting on the dance floor and when I decided to seek solace with Shaun on the stairs he made sure to observe and give me comfort that the environment was still OK. When a female is dancing alone on the dance floor there are few places to be comfortable and Shaun made sure that I was safe. He even offered a wig for me to hide myself which had been left on the stairwell all night.Dustin, the door bouncer, was very accommodating and sweet when we had a group of smokers. He knew our faces and outfits and even let us in when the long was too long.The security staff at this bar deserves 5 stars!

Great bar until you need a water to sober up. Out with my extended family and trying to covertly switch from vodka to water. Asked for a water with a lime. Got handed a plastic bottle with a cup full of ice and a lime in a separate shot glass and asked to pay a dollar. Asked the girl to dump out the majority of the ice for the water would fit. Man maybe it’s my southern hospitality, but when someone asks for a water it’s not questioned and it’s free for gods sake.

This place is amazing!! Last time I was here was back in 2015 and this time it’s 2019!! Hands down the best place to meet friends and have a good time without anybody judging you!! Everyone is welcome!!

I love this bar! Friendly staff kicks some serious butt getting everyone taken care of. This is the only place you can come see a live show almost every night!Pool, darts, dancing. And of corse you just cant beet the free adult toys handed out to the crowd.Love love love this bar!

We have our first experience at Humpin Hannahs this past Saturday everything was moving well, lots of fun and good music, we were getting drinks straight from the bar until I ordered two PBR from one of the waitresses which btw they were advertised on each table for $2.00 a piece. Well when she bring our beers and the ticket our total was $26.00 dollars we ask her why? And with a very bad attitude she responded they are $2.00 only if you ordered from over there, we dont even know what over there means so we ask her at the bar? And she said no, she said I need you guys to pay this isnt my problem, my friend decided to pay so our time wouldnt be ruined since we were having a blast. Of course after that we decided to leave and go to a different bar. It is kinda sad that they will take advantage of all this college guys who obviously get a little drunk and they dont even know, or pay attention of what they been charged.

Absolute best New Years ever. This was my first time here, but Rocci was amazing and the life of the party! Every song she sang just gave the crowd more energy and she absolutely nailed it! The bartenders were slammed but still made drinks quick and remembered our names AND what we had been drinking. Super impressive for how incredibly packed it was in there! We had a blast and will 100% be coming back... VERY SOON!

Not a bad place to chill, have a few drinks, enjoy a live band & go dancing. The bartenders & the bouncers here seem to be chill here (of course unless your out trying to cause drama). Also like the fact they offer cheap $2 beers & $1 shots. Place does sometimes get so packed on some weekends that theyre will be a long line outside to get in.

I’m a small 22 year old girl and when I walked into the bar this bouncer who is a huge man with spikey hair started screaming at me and yelling telling me to go up the stairs for no reason. I felt disrespected and violated. I was not causing any harm to anyone and he continued to yell at me. The bouncers at this club have zero respect for the customers. I worked at Amsterdam next door for 3 years and never had I seen any bouncer treat people the way that their bouncers do. Furthermore, this bouncer has been there for a long time and apparently disrespect is acceptable here. There was no private event or any reason to go upstairs when I was meeting friends on the bottom floor. There has not been one time I have met a nice bartender at this club. The experience is not one I would recommend as someone working in the industry for many years.

Bartenders are good however, the waitress, server whatever you call the ones who come around to get drink orders...the woman I had, at the end of the night got verbally aggressive and demanding not to mention she was rude about me giving her a tip, a big one at that. Ill never go back there! Im not sure who she thought she was! But being aggressive and demanding and rude to patrons will get you NO tip!! And, Ill inform Rocky about you.

Its a fun place .they play a mix of types of music drinks are at a fair price imo.

The band needs to learn some new songs to play, everytime I go it’s the same songs. It’s to the point where my friends and I are bored now. This place could be great if that happens one day hopefully.

Friend of mine had recently turned 21 and went downtown for the first time, big bouncer with spiked hair(think his name was Jason) turned him away right at the door for no apparent reason and then yelled at me and started talking disrespectfully when I politely asked what happened. Would be nice to get some clarity so that my friend can have a good experience in the future.

This place is a lot cleaner than comparable bars in the downtown area. Tasty and well priced alcohol with some speciality in-house drinks. Live music rather than the same electronic pulse is a nice change. The drummer is great (Im a drummer too).

Was waiting at the bar for drinks, Mind you there was NOT a lot of people standing at the bar at that this time. We ordered. The bartender put a drink down on the bar close to me and I picked it up to go hand it to my friend. Thought it was our order because again there was not anyone by me at the bar. Rocci (the owner) came out of no where and screamed at me “that’s not yours that’s mine. What are you doing?” Rudely reaches over me and ripped the drink out of my friends hand while saying “that’s what happens when you’re the owner of the bar, you get served first” at this point the bartender instead finishing our order...starts making the owners group of people drinks. While we are continuing to sit and wait for our drinks in utter disbelief the owner again stated well shrugging her shoulders “that’s what happens when you’re the owner” Well as The owner of the bar I would hope you would set a better standard of service in your establishment. Your customers should come First!!!

I went there only once last FRIDAY on MILITARY Orders. The atmosphere was average since it was still early. When I left to drop someone off I left my tab open! I checked my bill the next day and someone (more than likely a bartender) had spent $587! These workers have ZERO integrity. Im wrong for leaving my card but if they will ROB a SERVICE MEMBER, how much do they respect you??

I love this place. Boise has a way of putting labels on bars of who should and shouldnt go there but Humpin Hannahs is for everyone. Seriously such a fun place to go. Drinks are cheap and good. Staff is super nice and cool.

Im from Albuquerque and while visiting my boyfriends family in Boise for the first time, he took me here. I had the BEST time. The drinks are good and reasonably priced. Very clean, especially considering that it is a very busy bar. The decor is quirky and unique, but fun. I cant even find a word to describe how much I enjoyed the Rocci Johnson Band. I was singing along all night at the top of my lungs. Rocci is a rockstar. Whenever I head back to Boise, I cant wait to go back and catch another gift from Rocci.

A overall great place to hang out, mingle, or just dance. The atmosphere is about what you might expect for a downtown bar. Smoke is usually not a problem and the drinks are good all around. Highly recommended!

Was visiting from out of town and heard good things about this place so decided to check it out. The man at the door checking IDs told me my ID photo was an extremely horrible photo and completely ruined my night. The bar service was great but after that point the experience was ruined. Hoping they reevalute their staff placement choices.

We had a good time here, on our own accord. Decor is weird, and the bartender was a goon, and they basically shut it down and shove everyone out the door when it was closing time. The people here were fun though.

The staff is always friendly. It gets old hearing the same old songs being played there by the Rocci Johnson band. If they would just learn more songs and have it not be the same songs all the time it would be alot better. The dance floor is way to small, they need to make it bigger, alot of the times not everyone can dance because theres no room, the whole place needs to be bigger to be more comfortable. Dick the owner he is a really nice and friendly guy, i just wished he would sit back and relax and have his waitstaff straighten things up so he dosent have too... Thanks Dick ! :)

Ive always loved Hannahs, however when my fiancé and I went the other weekend, he got his real ID taken away. He is over 21 years of age, his license is out of state, but weve had conversations with one of the bouncers, because he used to live in the state my fiancé calls home. The bouncer, who has spikey hair, claimed that the edging was off and proceeded to take the ID. Weve gone in many times without anything like this happening, when the other bouncer was working. This was extremely frustrating and felt like it could have been an act of racial discrimination. While weve had friends come to visit from the same state my fiancé is from, their IDs have never been questioned. They are white, my fiancé is not. Whatever the bouncers thought process was, we were both extremely upset and had to call the non-emergent police dispatch, in which a police officer had to go into Hannahs to retrieve his ID. Needless to say, the whole process was exhausting and ruined our entire night. Weve always enjoyed Roccis performances, but unfortunately we will not be returning.

One of the most popular destinations for the Boise nightlife scene. Not cliquey or pricey. The music is good, theres cheap drinks available, and Rocci Johnsons band is always great.

The guard had attitude. Really bad. Me and my friend both had temporary ids due to just turning 21 and because mine is a drivers license and hers is an id, he said they didnt look the same and so he wasnt letting us in. Hes obviously not smart enough to know what an ID looks like and telling us to gtfo was disrespectful. Its cool. Our business goes elsewhere

Bouncers and Management are extremely discriminatory and disrespectful and looking for violent situations. If they think you look weird you arent getting in. Dont trust job descriptions these people post either. They say you dont need any experience, but if youre under 300 pounds (yes Im talking about you Jason) you suddenly have to be a black belt in karate and military experience; because I guess holding an active Boise Security License with law enforcement training doesnt count as defense training.. lets not forget bouncers dont even need a security license because they dont perform real security skills.

Hannahs is loud and the size & energy of the crowd is unpredictable. There are two bars on two levels. Theres a large dance floor and stage that is home to a talented local musician Rocky Johnson. Her band performs covers of current and throw back popular songs. There is weird stuff hanging from all over the ceiling and there are only bathrooms on the second floor. BEWARE: There are very random Western music nights where the average age here (usually 21-30) increases by about 30 years (AARP members galore). Hannahs is a gamble but one that I usually take.

Only gave 2 stars because the bouncer, not sure his name, he was a bigger guy, was horrible letting my friend in. While she does look 12 years old she is 29, her drivers license was her and it was the older style so he didnt want to except it. He then made her write her name 2 times on paper which looked like the license and then threatened to keep it. The other bouncer that was with him finally stepped in and said...Dude its her! Let her in!. Anyway, we drove all the way from Pocatello to come here and it kinda put a salty taste in our mouth. There was 8 of that came up. I know it can be stressful but you should still be courteous and personable which he was not!

The advertisements for this event said no cover. It was all over Facebook.Come day of the party and they charge a $5 cover. I dont mind the cover, but we were told no cover for minimum a week before hand to have it change day of. Thats not ok to do to customers, no cap.

Very fun place! Great set up, good drinks and love the live music.Probably my favorite bar in Boise so far.

If you want to get drunk and grind on someone while a live cover band plays this is your place. They also have pool tables. Dont forget to put money aside for a cab at the end of the night.

My friends are more of fans of this place than I am. They always seem to have a good time, its just not quite my style. Nevertheless, prices are reasonable and the drinks are adequate.

I’ve watched snails come into the world, learn how to be a gastropod in this big, confusing world, procreate, build a nice shell to call home, pass on their silver, slimy wisdom, and die peacefully in their sleep more quickly than I got service at Hannah’s.It’s also pretty bland and vaguely unpleasant, like how I imagine eating a fresh snail would taste.

They think they are a night club lol they arent they qater down drinks kick people out for no reason and its just a pretty boring bar plus they play only non explicit music good luck having a good time

Visiting from out of town I found it to be so fun and so friendly I was sad to leave. Bar tender and waitress super nice. Made a big impression on my first visit to the area. Thank you. Sweet !!

Rocky Johnson is phenomenal, my favorite place to go dancing. Drinks are wonderful and the most enthusiastic wins! Alwqys my go to place to celebrate mardi gras.

Gave the bartender $40 for $23 worth of drinks asked for my change and he said he gave me change I only brought $40 downtown and it was my 1st drink I did not receive my change highly disappointed

My cousin Kim has been working there for over 30 years... seriously who keeps a bartender for that long? That says it all. Great employers, great bartenders, great place.

Arrived today (Wednesday). And they were not open. Their website says they are open on Wednesdays for Hump Wednesdays and should probably be updated. Ill be returning and update my rating for the actual experience when they are actually open. Just disappointing that we could not find anywhere online that stated they were closed.
