Amela did a fantastic job with my hair. She was honest and straightforward about what could be done. She delivered and did a wonderful job. She was very reassuring throughout the process. She also took great care to avoid irritating my scalp (I have psoriasis). I would recommend her to anyone! I will definitely be back when it’s time.

Lana Wilson is PHENOMENAL! She is extremely talented in her craft, and I highly recommend booking with her. She is capable of professionally assessing and delivering client wishes, while maintaining the health of your hair. Wow! My wife got my a surprise back wax! I dont have much back hair but the exfoliating experience was awesome!

The shop is nice inside and watching others get their hair done, there seems to be a lot of talent in there. My stylist was actually late and then told me they forgot they had something to do when they already accepted my appointment so I felt like I was a burden/hurrying. Also, I wasnt in love with my hair but didnt hate it so I wont see the same stylist but will be open to trying someone new.

The receptionist I believe she said her name is Selena is very sweet and helpful. She took the time to help me with my scheduling for hair and makeup. She’s the best 🥰

I was visiting Bowling Green for a wedding between a ton of work travel and Velvet was able to squeeze me in for a Hollywood Glow facial treatment. I highly recommend Samantha - she’s a wonderful aesthetician and was able to calm my stressed out and dehydrated skin and make me feel a million times better. My skin tends to be reactive and sensitive, but I had no issues with any of the products she used, the studio was very clean, and the red light & massage portions of the facial made a huge difference. I was also starving when I arrived off a red eye flight from California and she even gave me snacks! I wish I had such an amazing facialist in Los Angeles - would definitely visit Sam again, highly recommend.

Im new to the area and was nervous to try somewhere unfamiliar. In need of a complete makeover, I learned I could have most any service done in one place. Amela did my hair and was very gentle. It turned out beautiful! Samantha did my brows very nicely! Ill be returning soon for more services! The atmosphere and staff were lovely!

Very first time at Velvet Beauty and the salon is beautiful! The employees are so nice and kind. Samantha Brown gave me the most relaxing facial Ive ever gotten, and I loved how shes very knowledgeable and gave me recommendations on products to use and avoid. Amela also washed my hair while I was there, and she was an absolute delight as well! This salon gets a 10/10!

Samantha is fantastic! My first time seeing her she made my mom and I so comfortable during our services and her space is amazing. Her trio brow package came out fantastic and she truly listens to your preferences, I got the duo lash lift and tint and when I tell you if I could get a lash lift every week I would, she made them look fantastic and there was no discomfort at all (which if you’ve ever gotten a bad lash lift you know how bad it can be) Samantha was amazing and I can’t wait to book a facial with her ⭐️

I had a brow trio by Samantha. She made my brows glow and amazing! If you want fully and perfect brows, you should get it by her. She has great techniques and also charming personality which makes you happy. I also loved this whole place. It’s gorgeous but still relaxing. The receptionist Selena was amazing too.

I booked two services with Sam this week, a lash lift and tint and a brow wax and tint. Oh my goodness!! I have extremely light lashes, and she’s the first person who’s ever gotten the tint all the way to the base. I’m obsessed!! And my brows look just as good! Love this business and love her!!

Sam has been doing my lash lifts and tints for a long time now. Recently she slayed me!! I get compliments all the time. My lashes are shorter and she makes them so lifted and dark. Immaculate vibes there. Love her

Samantha took great care of me! I had reservations about getting a facial because every new product I use breaks out my overly-sensitive skin, and my face was in the middle of a bad breakout already. Samantha suggested the Clean and Bubbly facial to help with the breakout, and went to great lengths to customize the facial for my skin type. The high frequency treatment with added blue light therapy had my skin almost fully clear in three days time. Thank you Samantha, I will be back!

This place is great. Wonderful staff. Amela did my hair (highlights & haircut) and let me just say, she went above and beyond to bring life to my hair. She was very accommodating and talked me through everything she was going to do. Amela was so helpful with giving me advice for at home care as well. I would definitely recommend.

I asked for some layers in my hair. they didnt listen to what i wanted and 40 dollars down the drain for my hair to look the same as before. very disappointing please find a different salon!

Tricia does an amazing job on hair! She really takes the time to assess what your hair best needs. My hair had been ruined & breaking off from prior chemicals used in the past. When I started going to Tricia, she took the time to get it back healthy. My hair has never looked so healthy now! Her products she uses are amazing as well.

I always do my hair with the professional hairstylists jocelyn, she is literally great!! She always wash and blow dry my hair. My hair is soo healthy and it has been growing so much longer! I also dyed my hair and had a trim. I recommend everyone to go to jocelyn!!

I love this salon!!! I have been getting my hair done by Jackie for years she is wonderful with highlights and cut. Not only does she do hair but also essential oils. I have MS and the treatment she does for me has help so much. All of the girls there are wonderful and very helpful. I also have waxes done and the girl who does that is great. There is just not enough good things I can say about this salon!!!

I had a great experience here. I was able to get a last minute appointment with Fatemeh who did a wonderful job. She was careful and detailed, but also worked quickly all while having pleasant conversation. She is a great lady and I will be returning to her for hair service from now on! :)

I have been a customer of Changes Salon for 6 years. Jackie, the owner, is very professional and great with color. Im a dark haired blonde that prefers light blonde, but doesnt want to be at the salon every 4 weeks getting a touch up. Jackie highlights my hair in a way that enables me to extend the length of time between visits. I would recommend this salon.

Great Experience? For my type of hair I received the best haircut I have had and it was very easy to manage as well. All of the stylists were very nice and offered me a drink & magazine as I waited. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience and I will definitely be going back.

I had my hair highlighted yesterday. It turned out great and Fayetmeh got me in at last minute which is why I gave a 3 star...but, she was really rough with me. She was tugging my hair and slapping on the foils. I am not sure if she is always like that or if she was mad about taking me at last minute. We were both kind to each other...but if she had any hard feelings I would have appreciated her just telling me to wait. Her station was not clean and when she blew dry my hair she let it get g close to my scalp a few times and burnt me once. When I screamed and pulled away from her she said oh did I burn you? And then laughed. Not funny. Also, Im not from around here so I had to go from these reviews as well. With that said, every salon is different. Ive always had the cut and color as a complete price. Here its 85 which is the color and was eyebrows (but mine were already waxed so she took 10 off...but then added on 20 extra for my hair to be layered. The results were great, but the experience was unpleasant! So its up to you on whether its worth it or not. Personally I plan to chance it and look around more in the future.

Debbie gave me another great haircut yesterday. Shes been cutting and highlighting my hair since before Changes moved to this location. Thanks to all the friendly people at Changes. I always have a good experience when going to Changes.

Fatemeh took me last minute and saved me from a home coloring disaster. She also waxed me eyebrows while the color processed. She was faster than most stylists I have been to (at least the ones who do a good job like she does) and the price was very reasonable.

Best men’s cut I have had since I moved to Bowling Green 5 years ago! The staff here is incredible, with a great price and great service!

Had a horrible experience. Went in asking for my golden highlights to be redone and a quick trim and left with almost 4 inches cut off my hair and an ash blonde ombre that was basically white. I have natuarally curly hair and after the amount of priducr that was used and all the heat put on it my hair will barely even hold shape now. Worst experience I’ve ever had in a salon. Cost $130 for an awful look
