The food was good and the drinks were strong. I love the service and the atmosphere was such a vibe. The best place to take photos because of the aesthetics.

Stopped into this bar on our way to City Island. Had an awesome time! Great custom cocktail selection and tons of hookah options. The staff is so friendly. They made a wonderful dinner recommendation on City Island. Would absolutely go back.

This was my first time here. The atmosphere was very nice. The music was upbeat. The drinks were way too strong. The hookah were ok, it sucks that you have to pay for more coals. This is the first place I have been to where they do that. It is a local place not to far from home and close to the 6 train and buses. The seating area if for reservations but there isnt that many reservations, so there are a lot of people bunched up towards the bar. The staff is very helpful and attentive. Not sure if Ill be back.

I thought it was hilarious and had to check it out for myself. What a great time, professionalism, and environment. The doorman was professional and friendly securing the front, the bartender was a sweetheart, very professional and assisted my guest and I frequently, the hookah was delicious! Very elegant taste and chilled at your convenience!!! That freezer handle gave me life, haha... I recommend the pineapple head and coconut juice YUM!!! Drinks, Drive Me Coconut was delicious! The blue lights were mellow, space-vibe, funky fresh and the music was great. Will definitely return here for some hookah and a drink. You pay for what you get, this is very good quality. I have seen other reviews about drinks being expensive. Drinks may seem expensive but they have beautiful mason jars that fill about three regular cups in other bar/lounges. The atmosphere seemed pretty good except for the decent selection of music from the DJ & the poor attention from the bartenders. I had to hunt them down to get another round and was helped by the hookah guy.All in all this place has amazing potential and beautiful decor but needs an update on staff.

Went new years eve. 4 bartender barely serving drinks. Some of them didnt even know what they were putting in drinks. Had to get hookah guy to get bartender attention.

If you’re going here to drink: the drinks are $15-$25 not including tax and tip, so realistically $20-$30 for ONE drink filled to the top with ice. The food isn’t cooked all the way through, just prepare to have half of your wings still raw. There’s roaches, don’t lean your belongings against any walls or the bar. It has cool lights though.If you were thinking about working here: it’s off the books, you don’t fill out paperwork. You get “paid” $40 a shift. If no people come into the bar you will NOT get paid, not even the measly $40. You’re basically volunteering your time. You’ll have to text the Manager every week and ask for your money which you won’t receive until a month and a half later after multiple excuses. The manager considers herself the owner (she not) and is extremely under qualified for the position. Prepare for child like excuses and a superiority complex. Coworkers are chill though so at least there’s that.

Overly priced $25 dollars for a drink. They dont take cards and so ATM charged me 5 dollars for each withdrawal was only able to take $100 at one time and got charged over $50 in just fees. 5 drinks and two hookahs was $300. Regret every minute of it especially after seeing all the atm fees.

Went to this spot post pandemic shut down. The place was clean and had ample distancing. Jay was our hostess. She was AMAZING! She checked on us frequently and ensured that we were having a great time. Her hospitality and roaring customer service will have me returning to this spot. Please take a chance on this place. I went on the first day they opened back up after quarantine and I must say when I first walked in the owner immediately greeted us and made us comfortable. We did wait a while to be served but once William realized it he was very attentive!! Mind you they had over a good 20-30 people there and only 2 servers and the owner. 💪🏽 Not to mention the countless times the owner apologized and came over to actually take a minute to talk with us.Music and Hookahs were great! Hookah quality including a lot of extra features that I’ve never seen elsewhere and the price was great seeing as they did not charge me when I needed to change charcoal or refill.Both William and the Owner were very down to earth and attentive to everyone. Great staff and ambiance. My drink was good, but not good enough to charge like a speakeasy. My hookah was $45 in Pelham bay park which doesnt make sense to me. Im always willing to spend money, but only if the quality matches the bill. Paid $77 for 1 hookah and 1 drink. I would like to come here more often but for these prices i know some places as good for cheaper. Sorry illusions.

WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!My boyfriend and I googled this place as he just moved to the Bronx and we were looking to enjoy a night out without having to travel the the city. For the price we paid, we should have just went to the city or Washington Heights and we would have gotten more!!!Our bill came up to $150 and all we had was 2 drinks and a hookah. The hookah alone was $50!!! We tried to not complain and just enjoy our night together however I was upset when we asked for a coal replacement and we were told “ because you have a pineapple head it takes more coals so it’s $20”.I called prior to us going there and I was told over the phone that Hookah’s are $25 and that included coal replacements. I guess I was lied to.The place looks nice, and the drinks were good however, when my boyfriend and I arrived we were the only customers there and the bartenders were not inviting or pleasant. As their friends or “regulars” walked in they said hey, with smiles and ran behind the bar, but when we came in we didn’t get a hello, or can I get you two something. All we got was a “you can’t sit in the back it’s only for bottle service”.Essentially we were displeased with the prices, but we may have been able get over it and enjoy our time there had the bartenders been more nice. We would happily pay a 25% gratuity for good great service, too bad we were forced to pay it and the service was terrible.I would ONLY recommend this place for a big celebration of happy hour when prices are significantly cheaper.We won’t be returning.

I came here with a friend memorial weekend. Service was great the food was great. The drinks were great. The place has a really good vibe overall and follows covid requirements. The music was also really good.My friend and I got to converse with the manager and other members of the staff., which made the experience even better.If you go be sure to ask for the bartender by the name Malika!

For my 1st hookah lounge this was nice! The DJ was good, space was small but cute, i wish there was more seats! We stood the whole night! Drinks was cool, the hookah was okay... its just not for me at all but it was cute! Total bill for 3 people $160 that included 3 drinks and flavored hookah! Quite pricey but If ur looking for some fun, drinks and hookah close to home this is ur spot! Ill be back!

The hookah is way over-priced (almost $50). The music okay but could have been better. The dj kept jumping from song to song and it didnt flow well. There are only seats at the bar. If you sit in the back you have to do bottle service. They only had wings as a food option 🙄

I went with a friend last night for a drink and a hookah. The pricing for the drinks was surprising...for $15 Im used to a small glass mostly filled with ice. We actually got an 8oz cup. The hookah was the only thing that was pricey...most places charge 30 to 35 and 45 for their specialty hookah. We spent $45 on a regular blue mist flavored hookah that was never refilled. For two drinks and a hookah I spent over $80. Not good. I like the vibe and will come back for drinks but will go somewhere else if I want hookah. The dj that night was really good too.

This place has so much potential however we didnt like it much. Maybe we just werent lucky but the staff wasnt that nice or friendly except for one of the waitresses. The music was terrible. The no dancing signs (which might be there for a valid reason) kind of give a bad impression. The choice of drinks was limited. Its a bit pricey for what it has to offer overall. So based on my 1st experience there I wouldnt recommend it but I am willing to give it a second chance

Very expensive. This place is taking advantage of the Covid free. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. I went out with 2 friends had 2 drinks each and TERRIBLE over priced food. This place does not offer real food only appetizers. We spent over $300 to not be satisfied at all. And they have a sitting time for only about an hour. There are better places with reasonable prices that will leave you satisfied. We left not even tipsy and starving while we still payed an arm and a leg

I hit up this place not too long ago for my first time trying out this place after quarantine restrictions were lifted for outdoor dining and treating myself to a single lady solo night out. It was very chill and the vibes were awesome. The staff was very friendly and welcoming towards me. The music was good too and the set up was pretty nice. My only complaints are they do charge A LOTTT for refills on the hookah so that’s why I rated it 4 stars because the whole price to get just the hookah alone is pretty pricey itself so why charge a hefty amount but I guess that’s how they make their hustle (no shade) and they also charge for water so I want to give you all the heads up. I think water should be free in my opinion just from being at other bars in my life and they always gave free water but I understand that it could have likely been due to covid so I’m not too worried or stressed over that. They did alert me ahead of time that they only have VOSS bottled water and they charge for that so it wasn’t no shock or surprise. I needed the water. Can’t say much on the drinks, I didn’t get any. Food was okay. They have some Spanish food options. Other than that, I had a fun time by myself just getting away for a little while.Update**: I went out another time to have indoor seating before mandate for vaccine. It was chill. Food was good, had to order a dish if you wanted to drink. Drinks were okay, didn’t really drink much that night but my mom liked the variety of drinks and flavors for the hookah. We enjoyed our hookah too! The servers were so sweet and helpful. The music the dj was playing that night was lit too! Another wonderful night as a girls night out but with my mom. 😌

The place itself is beautiful. Too bad it is the only positive point. The staff wasnt very friendly. Despite being the only table to be served, I cannot say they really catered to us the way they should have. There is nothing worse than going to a hookah lounge and be served burnt hookah, we ended up returning it and not even paying for it. The music was horrible, despite one of the waitresses attempt to make us feel more comfortable. Apparently the owner watches everything that goes on in the lounge, more like spying to be honest so there is really no way to have a good time. We rapidly paid and left, after asking about a mistake on the bill, for another spot way better than this one!

They overcharge their customers!!!! They have a Covid fee, and about two other taxes!! They charge $50 for a hookah but the worse part was it was only myself and my friend they had the nerve to automatically charge $35 gratuity!!! All we had was a drink and shot a piece, blue mist hookah, wings and mozzarella sticks! Our bill was about $300! Do not go here! They are ripping ppl off!!! We could’ve went to STK or somewhere else! I went this Saturday and I had an amazing time. The scenery is amazing. Super chill spot. The workers are amazing. What made my night even better was the service!!!! One of the bottle girls with long curly dark hair.. (think her name was jay.. sorry 😓😓) AMAZING!! FRIENDLY and super open to helping me and my friends have a good time her personality is so bubbly and FRIENDLY!!!. Deff. Will make this spot my GO-TO!

Decent place for the Bronx. Service could be alot better. Was in there 20-30 minutes before speaking to a guy to order our hookah and this is after I had already asked the bartender twice. Be prepared and bring cash. To use your card theres a $50 minimum which I thought wasnt bad being that the hookah was $40 and my drink was $14 thats over $50. Until she said the hookah is now $45 because Im paying with a card there was a fee. Also one of the bartenders was constantly on her phone.

Horrible experience as the hookahs are super expensive and the worst part is they charge 15 dollars for putting a coal...its crazy. We were a couple of guys from chicago and its unbelievable. 45 dollar for the hookah, who does that? The place is crammed....the only place where you could actually sit was reserved for bottle service worth $265... are you kidding me? Other than that you have to sit at the hookah bar which is just basically a bar. Its ridiculous. Never visiting again and never recommending to anyone.

Ace is the best bartender this side of the Mason-Dixion line. My friends and I got here for Christmas Eve and she gave us the best mixed drinks we’ve had. She suggest the white peach hookah flavor which was beyond delicious. The music was 90s-2000s r&b and hip-hop (HITS ON HITS ON HITS). I’ve come here several times before when it was more crowded, the service was still excellent, but this was even better bc the staff here is friendly as idk what! We shared funny videos and talked. This is definitely a spot I will regularly visit and recommend. Even on the crowded nights it’s lit. 10/10 all around.

Me and my husband went there for the first time on friday. We had gotten greeted with respect and the bouncers were great to. The minute we got into the establishment we got greeted by the owner and he provided us 2 shots automatically. (He Stated he likes new customers lol ) Me and my husband was like yyyyyyyeeeeeeeesssssss anywho shortly after my husband matthew ordered a hookah it was good and greatly priced.( it was mental and ambrosia) Let me tell u something our bartender dont remember her name at the moment made some slamming drinks. Dont know why anyone would give this place more than 1 star. Probably the workers and their friends are the only ones posting positive reviews. Considering this is the only bar in the neighborhood this place has so much potential but is nothing more than a cheap cover for a drug ring. Bartenders dont know how to make a drink, they over charge and are assclowns. Security guards do not make you feel safe and there always seems to be fight every other weekend. I wish this place wasnt such a waste of space. If it was half decent I would be a regular. And why a hookah bar? who honestly smokes hookah more than twice a year? Save your cash and go to the tremont bars instead.

Good vibes came a few years ago, its still the same vibes like I never left. I feel like the hookah is overcharged, why should I keep on paying extra on a refill? Thats my only dislike about it. They also use to serve food they dont do that anymore.

By far the WORST lounge I have ever been too, security was EXTREMELY rude and the manager of the place was also rude and not helpful at all. Their was only one employee who was super nice but the rest of the employees were super rude. The prices are super RIDICULOUSLY expensive for no reason. Ill NEVER come back to this place EVEEEERRR!! Im disgusted and super disappointed with the service at illusions hookah& mixology.

Pricey. Overall, had so much fun, music had me moving non-stop, waiters are very attentive to you. Guards are friendly and they can be jokers sometimes which is good, serious guards would be boring. I would definitely go back!

Best lounge in the Bronx. Manhattan vibe with the convenience of being near home. The drinks are delicious, the hookahs are a good value and the music was amazing!! They have live DJs every night! Also, the owner came by to personally introduce himself and welcome my friends and I to his establishment! Definitely a gem!

I came in the security person was very good at explaining what the changes were during COVID then he lets me have a seat the bartender was very good at explaining the prices of the happy hour had very good knowledge of how to make drinks all my drinks were consistent my first hookah I didn’t like very much the only issue I had was when I asked the girl to fix it she had an attitude and told me I should pay for a refill and I told her it’s barely been a few minutes and already it died out and I didn’t feel no type of feeling from the hookah she did the bartender came then tried to fix it it was fixed for about 5 puffs and then started burning again so I just stuck to drinks the manager Leo was very nice I told him about my issue with my hookah and he gave me a brand new one that he made himself I was very impressed it lasted much longer and was much stronger everyone kept checking on me to make sure the service was good the crowd was nice the music was on point bathrooms were very clean I will definitely be going back because overall the service was amazing a little pricey but it was definitely worth the amount I paid because I left very happy drunk and satisfied Leo and the security even made sure I got into my cab safely to get home because they knew I had came alone which was definitely one of the sweetest parts of the night

This spot was shockingly pricier than similar spots in Mid and lower Manhattan. We were visiting City Island and thought wed check out a spot before we headed back down to LES.The CONSThey are really screaming you don’t belong here, to lots of people.$30 minimum to run a card?!$3 for bubbly water out of the tap gun and $5 for bottle water. Nooooo freeeeee water. $15 per drink.$250 to sit on their small dance floor.They made a presentation about the drinks being large because of the cup size but it wasnt a nice mixologist drink, it was similar to a TGI Fridays.The ladies behind the counter were lukewarm to us. Lets say customer experience was ok. Not horrible but I also think they realized we were not understanding their high stakes to be a customer in their bar.The sad part is the place was empty. It was $250 for bottle service. But no on was there and they created a situation where you couldnt sit near the dance floor unless you pay the $250.Trying to be a club. I get it. Its a cute attempt but they blocked opportunities for everyone to have fun. So I went to illusions for my brothers bday and when I entered the ambience was Nice. However shortly after sitting down and ordering a drink my sister asked for a cup of water at which time she was informed they did not serve glasses of water and we had to buy two waters. Then I ordered a hookah and was told it was 45 if I used my debit card and 40 if I paid with cash which is actually against the law bc they are actually charging me to use a card. The music was okay but the seating and dancing area was only for bottle service only which means you cant dance unless you buy bottles causing the bar area to be very crowded... the drinks were very strong which is okay for some people I suppose but I would have preferred a warning because I couldnt finish it. 3oz of liquor is alot for most people and can alter the taste of a drink immensely. Not bad for the BronxRECOMMENDED : Cups of FREE water: Warnings of 3oz of liquor and maybe options to have less liquor.: Same prices for cash or card. Noone Carrys cash anymore ,and if you want me to spend my money in your establishment I shouldnt be penalized for the form it comes in.Overall Id be back if a few changes were made. So i got to this establishment around 9:30pm on friday and their chalkboard indicated happy hour until 10pm. Ok the bar area did not have enough chairs and they didnt now allow customers to sit at the tables they were reserved for bottle service that no one was doing. The DJ all over the place. Like if you dont know what youre doing practice at home. Lastly so the bill comes we were not charged happy hour price. My boyfriend paid so i didnt know until now. I seen a sign that said $5 for replacement charcoal but he was charged $15. The bouncer was nice.

Bought a coupon on Groupon, we went on a Saturday, and they told us it was only valid on weekdays. Then we went on a Friday, they told us it was valid Mon-Thursday. Not coming back again -since we went from Jersey all the way to the Bronx (+ everythings the pricey side). The only saving grace was the young man who took our orders, very attentive and charismatic

Drink did not taste as expected; bartenders swore it was correct, basically unwillingly to create another drink, needless to say I paid for a beverage I didnt consume. Stupid to have a bottle service area and absolutely NO one is sitting there and still keep it closed off. My group ordered 6 drinks plus Hookah, that should count for something. Dont think Ill go back.

Math makes no sense in this place. 4 drinks, 1 hookah equals $142 dollars? How? Even if I assum $20 for each long Island ice tea for each person how is Hookah $60 when only 3 people used it? Even more suspicious, the bill was just a total, no list of what we ordered with individual prices. Luckily my cuz had paid before I got to see this racquet because I def would have demanded an itemized bill. Also no sitting in the back area with the Ikea coffee tables without bottle service in a place that only has 9 customers.

Local, nice crowd, great atmosphere. Just a little over priced with items. I ordered me and my girl a long Island iced tea, and was charged $39. That was a rip off but other than that cool place.

My first time and I didn’t even get seated . The woman at the bar seating people got very personal when I demonstrated that it’s obviously just two me and another person and we arnt waiting on anyone else . She was upset that I corrected her security, “that’s like a brother “ to her . I corrected the man telling him that instead of being rude Turning us around when we came in , he should have been already standing at the door ready to explain to customers that he needs to see ID and vaccination cards before entering . Very unprofessional, so if a customer has an attitude after a workers unprofessional behavior then they have all right to give attitude in exchange ! I won’t recommend this place to anyone !

This place is ok. If you love to dance don’t waste your time to go because they have a sign up that says no dancing but they have a DJ playing music. Some of there drinks are overpriced too.

Beautiful establishment that gives you a downtown feel in the Bronx. With 92 hookah flavors to choose from, I didnt know which flavor to pick! (And 4 flavors come with each hookah)

Spot is nice , I came for hookah and $45 for a hookah on a Friday that is $25 on a weeknight is crazy to me ... and $10 for a new coal on my hookah!? Absolutely not

This place is extra expensive! The drinks are great but the hookah is not valid! Been here 20 mins and the hookah is dying. As you can see by the picture provided hookah no good!

I seen this place across the street from my doctors office and always wanted to see what it’s like inside. The staff there is very friendly and the hookah is great and the place is very nice definitely would recommend it and would love to come here as often as possible

Great hookah good music. A bit on the pricey side $93 for a hookah and 2 drinks. They piled on tax and gratuity.

Drinks were watered down, had to send them back! Customer service was TRASH, music was good, DJ was great! Hooka was overstated $40, not much seating, and the nerve to make the tiny lounge area bottle service only and NOBODY was paying for bottle service! Been to better places in Harlem, it’s a NO for me on going back to this spot!...FIRST OFF I DONT KNOW WHO YOU GAVE FREE SHOTS TOO, BUT IT WASNT ME! SECOND I ORDERED HENNY AND REDBULL, AND IT WAS WATERED DOWN WITH WHATEVER YOU MIXED IT WITH BECAUSE IT WASNT REDBULL! AND YES I HAVE ALLOT OF NERVE!! AND NO I WASNT THE ONLY ONE SITTING IN YOUR SO CALLED VIP WERE NOBODY WAS BUYING BOTTLE SERVICE PERIOD! Your getting mad because the truth was spoken in this review! and YES HARLEM IS WAY BETTER! Cool, chill lowkey spot. Dj is usually popping. Hookah is always good. Flavors are true to name. Drinks are large for the price.

Place is very cozy, coconut mojitos are perfectly made, service is friendly and the blue mint hookah was amazing I havent been 100 pleased in a while and finally I am with a local business!!!

Had a great time, music was on point, wings was good. Definitely would comeback with a crowd so we could have more space.

Im only giving it a 1 star because I have no 0 star option & also the female manager did hear me out and try to resolve the issue , other then that horrible experience & it was my first time . Security guard was so rude & disrespectful for no reason & also one of the male waiters ,very disgusted by the way they were acting and talking , filthy mouths . They were not professional what so ever the place looks nice , but the worker are the worst Ive ever meet & I would not recommend this place .

Went their few months ago everything was expensive especially the hookah going back again hopefully they changed that alil and they put regular price but everything else is really nice

According to google this place opens at 8pm. It was almost close to 10 and the gates were still closed. Very unprofessional not to have your establishment open on time. Especially since I called the number listed and was told they will be open in a few minutes which never happened.
