I decided to spend part of my birthday at the spa and am so glad that I chose The MJ Treatment Spa and Wellness. They are a local BX based business offering an amazing variety of services and the customer service is fantastic (Sara and Casey were great). I even added a service while I was on the massage table! The massage was excellent, atmosphere is inviting and I loved the personal touches added to make my experience memorable. Will be visiting again!

My 1st time at MJs and I absolutely loved the experience. Their staff was welcoming and friendly... I did a facial and my face looks and feels good. Even though it was just a facial, they gave me a little neck and shoulder massage... I loved the different aromas and the ambiance was very relaxing.

Superb find in the Bronx - Robert is great. So kind but more importantly, he is a wonderful masseuse. Cute/zenlike space plus lovely staff. Why spend twice as much in Manhattan!??!?? Just a few minutes from the 2/3 train - super convenient.

I lovedddddddd the massage very safe and relaxing space! I booked with Robert. He was really respectful and gave some good tips to loosen muscles at home. I recommend 90 minutes!

Went for the first time this passed Saturday. The spa was very clean and the woman at the front desk was nice. I had my massage scheduled with Robert and he took out all my pains. I did the 90 minute and highly recommend!

When you walk in the ambience is nice and tranquil and the massage room even more so. I appreciated the welcome sign when I arrived.... its the little things. MJ was my masseuse and she is amazing. She is attentive, focused and her hands are magically. I got the Swedish massage and I left feeling so relaxed and my pain area was addressed. This was one of the best massages Ive had and Ill be back.

Let me share my amazing experience at MJ Treatment! I have always thought about getting a facial or massage but never made the time for myself. I bit the bullet and decided to go for it. Hopefully after reading this review, you will, too!I went on a Sunday and parking was really easy to find. I parked right on the corner. I walked into the building and was greeted by the doorman and given directions to MJT [right off the main lobby]. As Im walking through it was a bit hot and muggy, as apartment buildings are in the Bronx, and I began to second guess my decision. But then there was this single flickering candle...I turned the corner and entered the most mysterious and magical hallway of candles and amazing smells. I turned again and saw a belly casting that I ooh and ahh at on the MJ Treatment IG page. I entered the space and my defenses fell to the ground. What an incredible energy! The lobby of the spa was inviting, smelled wonderful, and really put me at ease. It was like being transported out of the Bronx. There were candles [both real, and fake] everywhere! Dim lights and soft sounds. Then Caseys smiley face to greet you, check you in, and offer you amazing tea! The french vanilla, honey, cinnamon tea is EVERYTHING!Now, lets get to the treatment. Carline, my amazing esthetician, reviewed my intake form [3 pages, very quick to fill out] and talked to me a bit about my concerns and goals. She is kind, patient, and explained everything to me. Her hands are magical! She gave me tips without being condescending and shared personal experiences which not only made me feel comfortable but motivated to up my skincare game.If you have considered getting a facial or any spa treatment - MJ Treatment is the place for you! xo

We gave our daughter a massage for her birthday & MJ did not upset, our daughter loved every minute. A must stop if you are in NYC...showing love from Florida 🥰

First let me say that I thought everything about the atmosphere was great. The receptionist was very nice, and Sara, my massage therapist was very pleasant as well. I booked a Fusion Mix Massage for 90 minutes because this was my first time coming and I didnt know exactly what option would be best. The Fusion Mix Massage is supposed to include a mix between a Swedish massage and a deep tissue massage. I gave my history and preferences of troubled areas to address before arriving. I also communicated the trouble areas that I wanted the primary focus to be with Sara. When the massage started Sara had the perfect pressure going and was addressing my back and neck as I expected. I gave feedback to let her know that I was enjoying it. Then about halfway through the massage the pressure got lighter and lighter. I asked her why the pressure changed, and that I like my massages to be a little more firm as it was in the beginning of the massage. Sara then began to explain to me that I chose a Fusion Mix Massage, and if I wanted a strictly deep tissue massage, then thats the option to choose on a future visit. She went on to say that the deep pressure she was giving me in the beginning was just to let me know what certain options feel like, but it was just a courtesy. I get massages very frequently and never experienced such a dissatisfying massage before. Ive had 100% strictly Swedish massages (at least 50) at different establishments, and have yet to feel such light pressure. At one point I had to look up to see if she was awake, because it felt as if she fell asleep giving the massage due to how light the pressure was. Im wondering if she got tired because the change was unexplainable. I was hoping that I could make The MJ Treatment my go to Spa because I live in the Bronx and was getting tired of traveling to Manhattan to get a massage. What I cant wrap my brain around is, that if a customer is expressing that they want something that could easily be accommodated, why not just make the customer happy. The difference in price between a 90 minute Fusion Mix Massage and a 90 minute Deep Tissue massage is $5 (five dollars). I would have been happy to pay that for a more pleasant experience. It just felt as if I was being nickel and dimed because I chose a package I wasnt familiar with. Unfortunately, I dont think I will return. At this price point, I cant experiment with multiple options to find a standard massage. I should have at least been satisfied with a standard Swedish.

My first time going to MJ. When you walk in the atmosphere isso calm and relaxing. This place is beautiful, its like you are being transported to another dimension. Ashley was very polite and welcoming. I had the pleasure of having my massage done by MJ herself!! She was phenomenal!!! I came there with excruciating pain and left feeling like a brand new person!!! I booked my next appointment immediately. She has an array of products and services. You guys must go and experience for yourselves.

Favorite spa in the Bronx, Sara did a facial and a deep tissue massage. She gave helpful tips about my skin regime and answer my concerns. I was asked if i had any target areas that I wanted to work on when she started the massage services and she delivered, felt completely relaxed by the end. The spa itself is very cozy 10/10

The experience was great. The lady that I got was very nice. What I didn’t like was that they recommended me their SPF which was very dry on my skin. I understand that you are trying to make sales but if you see that my skin type is dry why recommend a dry product. I changed my SPF and OMG I notice the difference instantly!

My first time here. Great massage! By MJ(thanks again) In a lovely, clean, calm environment, the focus & pressure I asked for met my expectations. Living in a hectic world on survival mode, we tend to get use to the tension in our muscles as normal its NOT. Treat yourself to feeling better, you deserve it.

Its in the first floor of an apartment building, but once you get inside it is really cute. They did a great job with decorations and creating a relaxing ambiance. The employees were also very nice and sweet.Sarah gave me my massage, which was mostly relaxing. It felt great in most parts except she can be a little heavy handed but I shouldve spoken up about it, so now my back is sore. I guess that is my fault for just taking the pain at the moment. Before we started I said I just wanted full body relaxation with medium pressure, and she generally did that with the exception of my back which got apparently a deep tissue massage.Overall it was really good, I would go back and just clarify better that I am not looking to work out any pain, just essentially want a full body rub down

The MJ Treatment was an amazing experience. I was able to get away for a massage and facial and this was the perfect place. It was clean, professional and very inviting. Jennifer took care of my facial. She was great and friendly. Her technique was very soft and relaxing and had great insight on what I could do in the in between time before I go back and I WILL be back. MJ gave me a Swedish massage that was exceptional! I left walking on clouds and can not wait to book my next appointment!!! Great job ladies I highly recommend them!

The minute I walked in, I felt calm. The whole staff was very welcoming; even therapists I wasnt scheduled with greeted my husband and me with a smile. We both got incredible massages by therapists Casey and Sarah. I will definitely go to them more often. The prices are very reasonable. If you can, definitely treat yourself to a service there. You wont regret it.

As a fellow massage therapist, I have high standards for the bodywork I receive. I met MJ a few years ago in a class we both took, so when I was planning to return to the city for a weekend with friends, I reached out to schedule us all sessions. Even though cancelled flights & illness plagued two of my friends the day before, MJ didnt miss a beat making sure those of us who came were taken care of. Great service and great bodywork! I highly recommend making it a place you return to again & again, especially if you live close!

Words cant describe how much I enjoyed myself. Its an experience start to finish, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. (Theyre so sweet) . My only regret is that I booked 50 minutes instead of 90 but thats ok because Im going back next month. I work retail and the owner MJ gave me so much goodadvice on up keeping my feet and moisturizing

I surprised my wife with a birthday appointment here. She came back and said she loved the whole experience. They decorated and gave her flowers when she entered. The massage was amazing, and she will definitely comeback.

I love this place!!! Recently had my first( of many) massage therapy session and ALEXA was PHENOMINAL!!!! She was very professional with how she handled me and made it an experience to remember. 10 out of 10 im going back again. Cassie is also great. She answered all of my dumb questions and even likes anime!! I will be back SOON!

Hubby & I had such an amazing Massage experience today! I suffer from Fibromyalgia and the Cupping session with MJ was amazing. Hubby was paired with Doreda and enjoyed the Hot Stone Massage. The Spa is clean, staff is very caring. The protocol to maintain everyone’s safety during COVID is impeccable. Highly recommend 🤓

I went here for my birthday. They have a lovely staff and ambience. I got the himalayan salt hot stone massage. Everything started on time and the massage therapist informed me of the process and asked me a few questions before we got started. I left feeling relaxed and ready for my birthday weekend. Ill definitely be back!

Earlier today I received a fabulous Shiatsu Massage from Sara and I am still feeling the amazing effects! Much needed relaxation and pressure in the needed areas. Sara did a great job of focusing in on the areas of my request as well as the areas she became aware of during her treatment. The soothing sounds of Sade and the calming aromas even allowed for me to drift off to sleep briefly. This was my first time at The MJ Treatment and I am already looking forward to a return trip and exploration into addition treatments.

Amazing experience each time I go. I have gotten the Reiki with the massage (Amazing experience) as well as a prenatal massage. (I came out feeling so refreshed and relaxed) and how could i forget MJ created my belly cast it was a beautiful moment shared with my wife. No complaints here. Cant wait for me next massage 😉

Loved my massage with Casandra. The receptionist was very welcoming, offering water and tea. The location is extremely clean and decorated beautifully. Its great to have a good place to go to in The Bronx. Saved me tons of time compared to traveling downtown.

Omg!!!!!! Its gorgeous and the staff is phenomenal! Casey made my body feel brand new! It was super hard to get up when massage was done. My body felt stretched out. Im usually stiff all over because of my work and kids. I didnt realize how good a massage is for your body. I also suffer from Psoriasis and the oils used on me really helped and it was all surprisingly affordable. Im glad the Spa is right here in the Bronx. Looking forward to another real soon!

My first time getting a facial and it was such a great experience. Desiree was super nice and super knowledgable. She suggested some products to try out. I bought the trial sizes to see if I see a difference in my areas of concern and so far products are great! I hope they continue having great specials to go more often

My experience at “the MJ treatment” was GREAT! My therapist was really dynamic, where she incorporated many different things based on my ailments and body type. I also feel like MJ was pleasant and really listened to me (didn’t go into autopilot mode). That right there is gold to me. I’m really picky on who works with me and she was perfect!Thank you, I will be back!

I’ve been coming here for a few years now. The service is amazing and the environment is very relaxing. I feel very comfortable and relaxed due to the expertise of the staff. Today was the first time i visited this place The MJ Treatment Spa, what an amazing beautiful place, just the aroma and spirit of the spa speaks for it self. So organized and extremely clean. This is the first time I have ever been to a spa and have gotten a massage. I had a great first impression of this establishment starting with all of the great smells in the hallway that led into the spa. My girlfriend and I booked a Fusion Couples massage. We were greeted first by the courteous spa owner Maryjane. We gave our jackets that were then hung up for us. Our massage therapists Sara and Doreda were absolutely amazing! They greeted us with warm smiles and a handshake. My girlfriend and I felt immediately comfortable and at home. We walked into the Fire Element Room to a great soundtrack of music, and laid on pre-warmed beds. From there on our massages commenced. We were completely relaxed and we have never felt better after the massage was over. Since then, I have had the pleasure of going back to The MJ Treatment for another massage. I must say Sara, Doreda, and MJ are amazing women, and this establishment is one that the Bronx is in need of. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that is in need of a day of relaxation.

I am a regular here at The MJTreatment and it’s always a great experience. The massages here are wonderful and also the facials. I DO NOT like to travel to the city for spa services I’m greateful that they are located close to home. Today my husband & I tried something new and out of ours elements and we love it 😍We tried theirs Reiki with massage treatment with Christine. Wow! She’s gifted and has wonderful hands ! God bless her . After our treatment, we felt AMAZING & uplifted . We are planning to making another appointment soon .Thank you MJ treatment team.You always make us feel welcomed and at home 👍

I love my visits to MJ Treatment. They have done an excellent job of creating an amazing visual and sensory experience. It is truly a gem of a place.I suffer from chronic back, neck and foot pain and most massages just end up leaving me in more pain BUT not ever have I had an issue with any of the therapists at MJs Treatment Spa. Every single time I finish a massage here, I feel a foot taller from how many knots they work out. I just make sure to drink lots of water, to flush out those toxins. I was just there last month and I am already thinking I need another trip soon.

Maribel was good. After the massage I was relaxed my circulation was better. I wanted more of a deep tissue massage. I booked the Fusion Mix. The next time I will book only a deep tissue massage

Scheduled a couples massage on Jan 28 for my bf birthday at MJ Treatment Spa & Wellness with Denesa. He had the deep tissue massage and I had the swedish. Our overall experience from booking the reservation up to the massage itself was great and easy. The front desk person and the masseuse were friendly, accommodating, and very professional. I had such an amazing Ashiatsu massage experience today! I have been having an issue with my right shoulder from overuse at work and I feel great after just one session. I highly recommend MJ! The space is very clean and the protocol to maintain everyone’s safety during COVID is impeccable. I will be a return client for sure!

I had my first massage ever and it was amazing!I googled places in the Bronx just to keep it local and I’m so happy I picked this location it’s very clean and the employees are very professional. My husband and I received a couples massage as a gift. MJ Treatment has made an effort to create a spa like atmosphere which was very nice. However, the massage was not what I expected. If you are a person who just likes to relax and have nice smelling lotion lathered on you, this would be an OK massage experience, but if you are looking to get a MASSAGE this is not it.

I just joined a very rigorous YOGA class in Scarsdale, which I attend rwice a week. THANKS to MJ s massages ( flexing and kneading),. I find the rigorous yoga stretches are an acceptable and reachable challenge. Very satisfying. Also after the yoga workout my reward is the following MJ massage which feels great. GREAT COMBINATION. TY.

I got a giftcard for my mothers birthday here. The location is odd but when you step in it feels like a new place. Everything smells and looks nice. A bit small but its a cozy sort of small. I would love to get a massage there someday!

I don’t usually leave 5 stars on any review because I always feel there is room for improvement with any thing your passionate about but my experience here was one that was nothing less than five stars I walked in the aroma and atmosphere was so relaxing the rooms where all very clean and dim I was offered water right away. I am 38 weeks pregnant and was suffering from the normal aches and pain that a women around my months get i am very shy and have a hard time feeling comfortable undressed in front of strangers but the staff was very respectful cautious of my pregnant body and most importantly my belly I was offered a towel to be covered with and felt completely at ease and judgment free, all the aches I felt left after my one hour hot mama massage and when I came home I was able to bend without pain I recommend pregnant women and all women and men to try this spa I was able to get a rest in during my time there also the massage therapist used the right amount of pressure at first I was hesitant to spend 90.00 on a massage but quickly into the massage I knew it was worth the money and something I would want to treat myself to every 2 months I will be coming back with friends so that they can experience this spa so far the best spa I have tried in the Bronx ! Scheduled an appointment for 4:30pm for Saturday because I was told they were busy all day.. called back on day of appointment to confirm but was told if I can come at 4pm, I said ok I’ll do my best. Got a call back at 12pm saying that if I can come instead at 2:30 or 3pm because the lady whose doing my facial has to leave early🙃 I told them I’d have to cut my brunch even earlier and they said I can reschedule another day. If they charge a fee for customers cancelling/coming late then why don’t they themselves respect that policy of last minute changes because they want to leave early for the day? Was literally called 6 times by 12pm on the day of what was suppose to be my appointment. I had to call them back to tell them to stop since I won’t be going to them and to delete my credit card information from their systems.Also one of the receptionists is very rude when I first called to inquire about the place... she suddenly was able to add me on to Saturday because I was interested in the glow facial aka one of their more expensive services. If you book with them ask them what’s the policy if THEY cancel or want to change the time at the last minute.

I do not even really know where to start.... My gosh Bianca is freaking awesome. I had the pleasure of receiving an amazing swedish massage and reflexology from Bianca on Sunday the 13th of 2019. Bianca greeted me with a hand shake and a wonderful smile. I knew from here this was going to be good. Very pleasant and soothing voice Bianca also has along with her amazing hands. I have no complaints at all. I enjoyed every second of my 50 minutes with Bianca,it actually felt longer. Bianca was on point with everything asking me from time to time how Im feeling and let here know if its to much. During my session Bianca was very concern if i was feeling relax and stress numerous time to me its all about you feeling relaxed and enjoying the moment. I sure did!!! Bianca was flawless!!!!!!Now about the place! When I arrived in my Lyft it took me a few minutes to get out because I couldnt beleive that this is the place. So I tripled checked my email to make sure even the Lyft driver was shocked and stated he lives close by and didnt know about this place. I stated to the driver the reviews are very good and this is what made me want to try and in the Bronx close to home. Im a reviewer just in case you havent notice. So I get to the entrance of this building and I see a desk and a man behind it and say to him Im here for a massage. I had to sign In and then he shows me where i must go and buzzed me in. Im like omg i dont know about this feeling a little weird. Let me tell you the only amazing fragrance that was coming from around the corner was so soothing and wonderful. I had a smile already. You will find large candles burning as soon as u turn the corner and candles on the floor really inviting. So I open the door to even a better aroma if possible and a wonderful receptionist so sorry I forgot her name but she was very professional and extremely nice and greated me with a smile as well. I felt very comfortable and couldnt believe the atmosphere at all. It was like being on 5th Avenue better than 5th Avenue!!! You just have to see this place for yourself you may be like hmmm at first but just follow the scent and you will have no regrets at all. I will return over and over again for sure. I will also tell everyone I know about MJ what a gem in the Bronx!!! Thank you Bianca and staff for an unforgettable moment. Very satisfied consumer!!!

I just finished my 12 hour shift, i felt so burnt out, tired,stressed and achy. I decided to use my gift certificate that my daughter gave me 6 months ago, in fact i was having second thoughts of coming to MJ Treatment, because I have a back injury from a car accident and i am cautious from getting any kind of massage,thinking that it will make my pains worst. But my mind is telling me to just give it a shot, they have good reviews and so i finally tried. I walked in, the place is so neat and cozy, Casey was very helpful and friendly and have me seated, the relaxing mood is starting to sink in me, listening to a music of tranquility. Then I was introduced to my therapist that day, her name is Doreda, very nice lady, before we started my MJ TREATMENT EXPERIENCE , I shared to her my feelings of pains, tired and my injuries so that she would have an idea of how to handle my issues and to the biggest surprise of my life, after Dorie (she said this is how her family call her) did the MJ TREATMENT EXPERIENCE on me, I have felt so much relief from my pains especially on the area that i had my injury psins for almost a year, I mean soooo much relief that I dont know how to explain, Dories magical touch made me feel a different person ,on that same day I felt so energized, i feel like i can do another 12 hour shift at my job, I felt so much relief from my pains ...until now I cant stop talking to my family, friends and Colleagues at my job about. Thats how CONFIDENT I am with MJ TREATMENT, I can TRUST them with my pains, we only have one body and we must treat it so special. This was my first massage outside of sports related massages and I LOVED it!! I needed someone with strong hands to work out all the tension in my muscles and Doreda was the PERFECT person for the job!!! In all honesty, she kinda ruined it for every other massage parlor. I have had massages from various places by both men and women but NONE were as good as Doreda!!Side note: It was a little pricier than the groupon massages Ive had but you get what you pay for.

Where can I start? The hospitality from my entrance to my exit was superb. I was satisfied with my treatment and will recommend anyone who hasnt gotten a spa experience before to let MJ Treatment be their first place to experience what a spa treatment is all about.

I FINALLY GOT A CHANCE TO VISIT MJ TREATMENT AND I LOVED IT. MY BEST FRIEND CAME WITH ME AND GOT A MASSAGE AS WELL. THE ATMOSPHERE IS FANTASTIC, THE STAFF WAS EXTREMELY KIND & PLEASANT. The best facials! Relaxing, thorough. I follow when I leave there. The prices are very reasonable. You can get an hour massage and hour facial together for under $200.

Wanted to like this place so bad.. called to make an appointment and a nasty receptionist wouldn’t even let me get a word out, she responded “no” before I even got to ask her availability. As someone who works in the customer service industry, the first introduction is always the make it or break it for a business, please remove this person before they bring this business to the ground.

I had the mj experience and it was a lil pricey but the massage was for an hour and a half by the owner. But overall I very much enjoyed it and loved the ambiance.

Greetings and treatment was awesome!I was surprise when I was Notified of the small print...indicating special was only in October!FACT: booked service at 50% less on October 30. Service was on November 3!. 😮
