Crystal Lake Brooklyn

Came in on a very slow July 3rd night and sat by the windows drinking beer with my wife. We loved it! The bartender was super nice, we wanted to be friends with her. The big windows are great if theres a breeze on a warm night. Drinks were great, loved the vibe, will be back when were in the neighborhood.

Great neighborhood bar. Delicious drinks. I had heart of darkness cocktail, loved it. If you like sour and spicy this is it. Old fashioned was little too sweet. Anyway, great place!

I came here on a Monday evening to support a friend in a comedy night. The place stretched to the back to a larger opening where the show was located. Each comedian had a 5-minute set, and it was enjoyable. I would remark that the bartender was not thrilled to be working—don’t know if was a comedic bit or not. Either way, for the few amounts of people present, this individual’s service was unapproachable and slow. Also, food was a bit overpriced for my liking, so I didn’t buy. Nevertheless, the vibe of the location was chill and tranquil. I would recommend a visit if you have loads of time to wait.

I wandered in and found one of the best black bean veggie burgers Ive ever had. One of the chefs, Sonny, came out to ask how things were going and brought out samples of other sauces. Very thankful to have found such a good veggie burger spot💛

Love this place! Started coming for their Survivor viewing parties last year, but come back more often since the staff is so wonderful. They have lots of great events in the back room. Good snacks, great drinks.

Bar has a great chill vibe. Music is awesome lots of throwbacks playing. Chris is a cool dude, great bartender. Recommend a good beer.

I hosted my boyfriends 30th birthday party at Crystal Lake, and could not have been happier with this venue. Right from the beginning, I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable pricing for a private party in Williamsburg. The back room of the bar where the party was is large and roomy, which is a rare find for bars/restaurants in NYC. The drink menu offers unique and interesting cocktails beyond the standard bar options, which really elevated the party and made our guests happy. Rebecca & the other staff members there that night were very helpful with party setup, and I appreciated that they didnt kick us out immediately at 11PM when our allotted time ended. They also provided wristbands so they could tell who was with the party and who wasnt, and ensured that our party guests were served quickly at the bar. I also worked with Mike & Jacqui, the in-house caterers (their business is called BiTcHn KiTcHn), and had an excellent experience with them - the food was delicious, and the service was great. If youre looking for a spacious, fun, and cool party venue your guests will love that wont break the bank, definitely check out Crystal Lake - Id host another event here in a heartbeat.

Booked a private event in the backroom. Bargain price, big space and dance floor friendly - I’d highly recommend booking out for a party. Rebecca was our host for the night and she was very helpful.

Stumbled in here on a Thursday night, unfamiliar to the area but super happy we came here! Christian took really good care of us and he was such good vibes the whole night. Had so much fun and would definitely consider trekking it out from Queens to come back!

Awesome bar with a cool little event space in the back. Friend reserved for a birthday party. The staff was attentive and helped us set up DJ equipment, especially Chris. Recommend this for a group event

We rented the back room of Crystal Lake for our Sunday farewell brunch after our wedding. It was perfect! Excellent amount of space, full bar for those who wanted it, chill environment. They were flexible with our needs and easy to work with. Reasonable rates for a large private room!

Christian is hella cool. Great service and great drinks. Would recommend to come for any occasion! Such a great bartender and fun personality.

I wasn’t planning to come here. I didn’t know about this place. I have to give them 5 stars, the atmosphere has an ambiance where the bar n the kitchen has an addictive welcome. You can spend it with friends or be by yourself and never feel alone. Now nice twist is the kitchen, called “bitchn kitchen”, to die for, chicken wings are amazing, a tender crispy delight evenly tasty with every bite sweet n spicy to perfection. Queso frito, wow, my mom would be estático delicious salty tasty cheese bites dipped in a guava sauce that compliments every bite. Plain fries better than McDonald’s but as addictive. You can’t wrong here. Good atmosphere. The picture its your typical I eat first n remember later to take a picture. If you meet the couple behind the Bitchn kitchen, you’ll understand their flare to bring up simple dishes n the dishes taste good n satisfy the soul

Such a cool space. Comfortable with little nooks you can sit in with date or friends. Great cocktails.

Picture this: it’s Wednesday night and you are stranded on a metaphorical island. An island that doesn’t get reception or CBS prime time. Suddenly, the majestic doors of Crystal Lake appear before you. And all your problems are solved because Crystal Lake is the one and only Brooklyn Survivor watch party oasis. A lovely bar with lovely food and even lovelier staff, Crystal Lake puts fun in “a really great and FUN spot to hang out with friends.”

Went here about a year ago, place is trash. Drinks suck. Perhaps the most terrible thing about this bar, though, is one of their owners, Michael. Absolute creep - continues to have an emotional affair with the wife of someone I know, who has 3 kids, despite being told to stop. I feel sorry for his business partners and girlfriend who have to deal with an absolute garbage human being. Dont go here, go somewhere where the management team is actually composed of decent human beings, not low level trash.

Im so happy I found this spot. Has a nice professional crowd, the bartenders hook it up, and theres always enough space to move around. Never had a bad night there (although a couple tough mornings lol).

Some bartenders are really nice and attentive. Others are apathetic and mean. Youll know which right away.

Delicious food. Friendly service. Fabulous atmosphere. Also, They have a fabulous drag brunch called Dream Queen Drag Brunch that is super fun! Pixel the Drag Jester and Arya Klos were the hosts. Love the vibe. Highly recommend.

Cool bar that has a space in the back for comedy and events. Bartenders are friendly, food is good and portioned large but doesn’t really stick to a regular closing schedule. Drinks are the usual, good atmosphere. Worth checking out!

Monica, Rebecca, and John are top-tier bartenders who made my experience at Crystal Lake so special! Jacki and the kitchen staff killed it as well with their phenomenal food (onion rings with chimi mayo 🤤). The rest of the staff was super attentive as well. Thanks for a great time!

My partner and I rented the backroom of Crystal Lake Brooklyn to host a welcoming party the night before our wedding. It was a perfect space for us and our 75 guests. The staff were all an absolute pleasure to work with and made sure we had everything we needed. The reasonable rental fee and food/drink minimum made this place an incredible deal, especially for Williamsburg which can be very pricy. Highly recommend for an event or just to stop in for a quick drink when youre in the neighborhood.

I love this place! Perfect neighborhood spot for a drink but also SUCH a great, open room for events in the back. Ive gone to a great burlesque show here before and also helped my boyfriend host an event in the space. Plus, they make an excellent spicy margarita. Strongly encourage you to go!

Be careful… Argentinian bartender was rude and unhelpful, and charged more tip than what I authorized. Make sure to always check your bank charges after coming here. Luckily the manager refunded me the tip amount after I reported the issue.

Basic beer like a Modelo is pricey ($8/ pint?). Anyway, I go for some of the staff who are friends. They had karaoke briefly. Not sure if or when it will return. That was a fun reason to go there.

Decent beer prices, but bar is nowhere near as cozy as it looks in photos. Came for a show in the back, but vibes felt dead and decided to not pay the $10 cover. They had tasty looking food that I didn’t get a chance to try.Feels like any random half dead pub you’d find in Manhattan.I’m sorry but 90s hip hop is truly and utterly dead. It’s been so beyond played out in the last 5 years at EVERY single new trendy spot that it almost signifies a place to avoid for me at this point. We’ve all heard Hypnotized a million times already.Dark bar and VERY bright tv’s that takes all your attention.Overall, not a bad place, just very average.

I legit don’t get all the 5 star reviews. I mean there’s less than a hundred so maybe that means something.This place awkwardly lacks basics like being able to pay for drinks and food on the same bill. I couldn’t get sauce on the side for something.I literally sat in a bar without a bar tender and couldn’t pay.Nope this place is bush league. I don’t care if it has a good location. The portions of food are pretty small and I’m still hungry. This place sucks and I wish I didn’t go there.

Great space with lots of room. Good tap list with interesting crafts and staples. Pop-up food offerings that are delicious and fun. Super comfortable couch, be careful, you wont want to leave!

Excellent place for a nice time alone, with friends or for a Business meeting. The back room !!! OMG ! I love it ! The back room have lovely booth style Green leather seats that are sooo comfortable. The back room gives me that feeling of back in time antique atmosphere, love it. If you like places that look antique, nice and cool, not over crowded and noisy places, this is the spot for you.

Rebecca the owner is amazing. Her creativity in unique cocktails is worth bringing friends and family to the bar.This is a must see venue for booking parties and events. A gorgeous space.

Such a great vibe ! I got to meet the owners who are so friendly !!! Plus , the in-house chef sent us some fried pickles that that were so good ( the carrots were my fav ) . Stopped by during a long day of cycling. This was my first time and deff not the last! The bar wasn’t open due to Covid, but we were allowed to get drinks to go. The Rum Punch was out of this world!! Can’t wait until life goes back to normal so I can go back with my boyfriend to enjoy the food and other drinks that others raved about.

Was here for a surprise Birthday party, food was delicious, decor was amazing and the workers were very attentive

Its a bar. Drinks are normal prices for the area. Mexican food place in the back is pretty good as well. Classic sticky counter tops.
