My wife and I hosted our wedding here. Wow! We got so many compliments from our family and friends. They were blown away by the azeri level of service, the quality of food and the volume! (Kutavi, Lamb chops, plov and smoked fish are amazing). This place is elegantly decored inside, with modern sound system and lighting. Their visting entertainment lead by Nourdain is also outstanding. Great range in singing performances and DJing and coordinated well with an outside band. They made our special night truly a night to remember. Shout out to El Dar and the excellent wait staff. Bravo.

Kevin was our server and he did such a great job! Omg, he was so kind, taking care all the clients (allergy restrictions) and taking pictures if any client asking, checking if everything is okay, making to go box(that was so surprising in the US,otherwise it is usual in Europe) even he gave us additional 20% discount. I wish all America would have such a great server, he proofs how the real server should be. Thanks to his parents for giving him such a great behavior and mentality! And yes the food was delicious, obviously, Azerbaijani food is really one of the best!

We spent a long time choosing a restaurant for our celebration and settled on Baku Palace. The reason for choosing this restaurant was manager Gabriel. From the first moments, we felt respect and understanding from him. We held a retirement party at Baku for three of our colleagues. Everything was fantastic. The food, service and ambiance were superb. DJ was awesome. We had a blast . Its worth every penny

It’s pretty nice restaurant/night club.good music, good food. It’s located off belt parkway exit 7. It’s hard to find a parking on the weekends but if you make right from the restaurant there is pretty inexpensive parking garage.

We were celebrating Birthday at this location - and what a mockery it was! Unfortunately, it is a ghost, a shell of a place it used to be! The service was poor, we had to constantly ask for more water, there was no service in general, and no waiter by the table for us to ask any questions. The salads and appetizers we ordered were ridiculous - the size portion was made for an infant! We ordered a few tuna salads as we had a large company and each tuna salad had only 4 pieces of fish! while costing almost $20!! - that is for 4 small pieces of tuna! Dont start me on the Duck salad - instead of a grilled duck meat we got duck FAT salad with no meat! Ridiculous! Basically, they charge an arm and a leg for a below average food with no service. I remember going to this place a few years ago and THAT was an experience! Now the place is an unfortunate joke.

Nobody throws a party like Baku. We had 40 people for my 30th birthday party. My family is Russian and we’d go growing up, but all my friends are American and they had the best time. They’ve never had a party like it. Amazing food, incredible service (thanks Ilya and team) and the best dance floor.

We celebrated our daughters one year birthday + christening party at Baku Palace in the main room during the daytime. We had such a wonderful experience and would really love to thank all of the team members, especially Gabriel. Everyone on the team was so efficient, professional, accommodating, welcoming and quick. The service was impeccable from start to finish and I really think it says a lot about Gabriel’s leadership. God damn this is GREAT FOOD. I’ve eaten here multiple times and ordered something else every time. EVERY TIME I basically lick my plate clean. GET THE LAMB CHOPS A LA BAKU!!!!! Sometimes it doesn’t come with a fire. But ask for it. You can toast your lamb chops and get a perfectly crispy outside and a tender inside. Oooohh and if you want to book a party ask for Eldar, he knows exactly how to make your party amazing!!!

We had an amazing time. We did a medium size birthday lunch (9 adults) 2pm-530pm on saturday. Set up some decorations beforehand, picked menu items, all done with help and no issues. From beginning to end service was perfect - asking if we needed anything, when can they bring this, would we like that...Food was fantastic! Salmon kebab, liver cubes, hachapuri (pie), octopus salad, cheese cigars, duck salad,branzino to name a few were delicious! Waiter was personable, friendly and efficient. We were in the terrace room and it was exactly the atmosphere we wanted. Would easy do another party there again!

We had our wedding at Baku on October 2nd and to this day our guests and us cannot stop talking about how wonderful everything was. Thanks to Eldar, Baku exceeded our expectations. Eldar was a pleasure to work with. Everyone was accomodating. The food was delicious and the presentation was perfect. Everyone made sure that we and the guests were taken care of all night. We already know this is the only place we will be having all our future celebrations.

I had my engagement party here and it was one of the most memorable nights of my life - Baku palace really went all the way to impress me and my friends. They worked within my budget and helped me pull off what felt like a super-star event - from the equisite food (oysters and foie gras were on the menu) to the live music (Baku has unbelievable in house talent - sax players and singers) - me and my guests were blown away at the night that we had at this venue. Highly recommend - would leave 6 stars if I could.

Serious circumstances are forcing me to write this complaint. My friends and I celebrated the birthday of a friend at the Baku restaurant on June 4, 2022. It was good and tasty. We were shown a show with fish cooking. Then we went dancing and I slipped and fell on my back, holding the floor with my right hand so as not to hit my head.Friends saw that there were stains on the floor, probably from the mass, but with which the fish was being prepared, and pieces of fish. I had insurance Medicare Advantage plan Aetna.I couldnt do anything with my right hand.I filed a lawsuit with a lawyer, he requested a video, but they refused to submit it. Baku went above and beyond to make our micro wedding stress free, beautiful and delicious in a short period of time. We had 40 people and all our guests were raving about multiple aspects of the wedding. The ceremony and cocktail hour was elegantly decorated and they provided a movie screen to play our slide show and made interesting backgrounds for photos. Gabrielle did an incredible job with organizing the servers. After the ceremony the fresh food kept coming. There was rarely a dirty plate on the table due to how attentive the servers were. Each course that came out was as delicious as the next. There was so much food and a diversity of it too. Some highlights of our favorites were the shih kebab that came out displayed with flames of fire and the sushi. They even had glass cokes on every table. Anna the bar tender did an excellent job making sure all the alcohol we brought was served. Eldar the manager was terrific at helping us organize the day. The DJ, Alex, was also excellent: livening up the party, very funny, knew when to fade the music out and when to turn it up and also made sure we got to do all our special events that we planned for the day. The whole family was very happy.

Omg. The worse restaurant. I was there and they had about 10 birthday celebrations with about dozen little kids running and screening out of control. Then they started inviting every family with birthday to the stage and taking pics of them. This lasted about 1 hour. The show was good but way to loud with too many people and kids running around. Never coming here again. Too stressful. If you want relaxing atmosphere, forget about this place. I wish they would told us that they had about 10 birthday family celebration with tons of kids. We would never come here.

I can not express how grateful I am from my birthday party at this beautiful place ( was on Thursday June 29 ) ! Starting with amazing manager Gabriel , who is very polite and attentive to every detail and request. He help me choose the best banquet menu with perfect money value. The food was outstanding, everything was so fresh and delicious, we can’t finish even the half . Salads, sushi , salmon , sea bass and many more super good! The servers was just the best, they help me with decorations , was very caring and never rush us , we have plenty of time to enjoy everything. My big thank you to my amazing waiters staff ❤️The DJ was very funny and entertaining as well ! Thank you so so much to everyone there for taking care about us and make my birthday party so amazing! I attended a birthday party at the Baku Palace restaurant last Sunday. The food was delicious and the service was great. But I specifically want to praise the amazing and caring staff there. We had a 3 year old girl in our family who wanted a juice they didn’t have. A member of the staff went to a store to get it to make the little girl happy!!! Separately, during the same evening I lost my favorite David Yurman earring. I was very upset when I realized I lost it, and didn’t have any hope to have it back. But I’m very thankful Baku’s staff found it and promptly returned it to me. I want to thank you very much for returning my lost earring!!! I can’t tell you how grateful I am to have it back. Thank you so much!

I was so disappointing last night with the wine list they have there, we are four people and they bring four different glasses for the wine, We finish first battle and they didn’t have another one, so we have to order another selection. We finished the second one and they didn’t have another one,They brought us another one for $140 and the cost of butter was $ 9.90. we spoke to our waitress and he brought the manager. Good ethnic place to visit if you miss home. Some of the menu items are not quite traditional Azeri. Like sushi. Loved the lule kebab with green salad and aubergine with nuts. Dont recommend the assorted kebab as most if it was rather dry. Awesome black tea with Napoleon cake.

A very large and beautiful restaurant with International fare, including Azerbaijani, Uzbek, Russian and European. Great live music and dancing on weekends only. Reservations are necessary for large parties. Dress to impress on weekends, casual during the week. They have outdoor seating space and open late night.

We did our sons 1st birthday party at Baku with the help of Gabriel who helped us from A to Z to coordinate the private room and menu alterations. He was very hands on and made the experience a very pleasant one. We also had Faik as our head waiter/manager who was also great and made sure the service was on point. Would highly recommend dealing with both.

AMAZING service. This was my first experience at a Russian restaurant, and we were highly impressed.

I had very bad experience with my party. I paid for most expensive package for my party, and a lot of food was left over, especially at the end, such as seabass and lamb chops. To say it was party of 48, and there were about 24-28 portions of seabass left over, and about 30 lamb chops also left over. Also there were 2 plates of duck left untouched, potatoes with mushrooms, etc. I asked the waiters if they packed the leftovers for me to take home, they assured me that they packed everything, I did not check the bags. We paid $160 per person for the table that was supposed to be $125. Tips? 🤷🏻‍♂️ They jam so many people on a table that it’s hard to get in and out. The food is below average. I think they spend $20 per person max, but expect you to pay $160. Pickles, cabbage, potatoes, mushrooms, hams, dry bony fish, basic sushi, pancakes, some meat (Lamb Chops were ok), Napoleon (nothing else was offered) and tea (no coffee / milk). We drank tea out of wine glasses while waiting for the cups. The show had 2 singers and 2 dancers. Half of the songs were ethnic asian.

We were shocked after reading all of these raving reviews to find out that this is the worst place we were in. It was my moms birthday and we reserve a table for 6. The music was extremely loud to the point we couldn’t talk. The food was very marginal, but service…. Let me tell you - everything we have order was not brought. Different things were offered. We were asking for a water that should be served at the beginning, but only after 2 hours when we were almost done eating they brought the water. We were asking for napkins 4 different people - every one of them (waitresses) weee telling us: “yes, ok” and we never got them. We finally had to grub them from another table. The service was horrible- the worst we ever experienced. I would give this place 1 star, simply because their food was ok,

I had a work function in their upstairs private room and had an amazing experience. The food was fresh, abundant and delicious. Wonderful variety of salads, meat and seafood and everything I tasted was fantastic. Our server, Ruslan, made the experience even more wonderful. He was polite, efficient, professional and no request was denied and very much impressed me. Overall an amazing experience and plan on coming back for both work and personal.

Had my 60th Birthday Party in Baku Palace. Everything was amazing. Starting with delicious food and service and finishing with great music and entertainments. I highly recommend this place if you have any events.

The restaurant overcharged us significantly. We were a party of 7 and ordered 2 salads, 1 liver dish, an assorted kebab priced at $60, and 2 some drink. Shockingly, the bill amounted to $621, which is outrageous for the items we ordered. This feels like fraud. We wont be returning.

If I could give a 0 rating I would. Baku palace really changed for the worst. I had a party for my son’s birthday and we spent so much money to make it special. Went all out! Was not worth the money at all. Terrible experience! The food was horrible, cold, and waiters kept taking away food without asking the guests if they were done eating. I mentioned this to the staff that they were putting food on the plates and taking away plates so it was as if they just throwing out food for no reason. We ordered the chef plov show, paid extra for this, and were given very small plates of plov. Amazing interior design, so much room for dancing and excellent location.I ordered a tap banquet for my gests with a black caviar, all kinds of seafood, unique appetizers, and a lot of other staff.The owner made so many extra things for as Iike a nice furshet, a beautiful money box for the gifts to accommodate us as much as possible. Our host of the party was Shamil . I cant thank him enough for an amazing service during my event. Everything was delicious, a great presentation of the main course, very professional and friendly staff. My gests was very happy. This place definitely made me feel like a Queen in the Palace . Highly recommend to everyone. So far, its my first choice for any future events . Thank you so much to everyone who was involved 💗

I recently attended a birthday party at a restaurant called Baku Palace, but unfortunately, I was disappointed with the experience. Despite the high cost of the banquet, the food was not up to par with the menu advertised. Additionally, I noticed that some menu items were skipped over by the staff. To make matters worse, a fight broke out on the street, causing the restaurant to close early and forcing us to leave. We essentially wasted our money. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Baku Palace to anyone I know.

We’ve used Baku, and Eldar, for our wedding, anniversary, and birthdays - and it’s always been an amazing time filled with great entertainment and delicious foods.They’re super flexible with the banquet menus - so if you want to mix & match just let them know!They do some great classic decor themselves, but also if you rent out the room you are welcome to do all your own decorations.The house wine that’s included with the banquet is pretty decent, and unless you really need to, you can bypass having to buy wine for your parties and simply use the already included house wine.They have their own entertainment, which is pretty good and incorporates the parties that are going on. However your welcome to book your own if you rent the room.If you ask, they’ll pack up the leftovers at the end of the night also. Generally the salads won’t get packed unless you explicitly ask for them - which I get since they’ll end up extra soggy by the next day.

Bleh. So confused why people even come here food is inedible. I’ve been here many times and it’s always bad. First of all service is bizarre - every time I come here they have the same issue - somehow they always mess up/forget orders so while most people are eating their hot entrees, at least 1 or 2 are left hungry watching others eat. No apologies, nothing just like it’s somehow our fault. The fact that it’s a reoccurring issue says something about the place. Onto the food: Shrimp was so overdone it was disgusting. Meat was tough and tasted old. Everything was over salted. And so expensive!! Don’t waste your time or money here there are tons of better restaurants around.

Baku Palace is a Sheepshead bay gem. We had a big party (14 people) and they were able to serve us all while following the COVID guidelines which included two separate tables. The service was impeccable, the food as always was delicious and fresh, and the ambiance of the outdoor dining area is gorgeous. The manager and our main waiter made us feel super comfortable and were always making sure that we were satisfied. We have celebrated many birthdays here, and will continue to do so! 10/10 recommend.

I am a restaurant manager and I was very impressed with Illya and his team. Very professional. They offered us a complimentary Bottle of Prosecco as soon as we arrived because it was my Moms Birthday. the duck salad we ordered was a bit too salty for my mom but the staff was so understanding and offered something else to replace it with. We celebrated my wifes graduation and it turned out to be a disaster food and service wise. I chose this venue as I had a good experience there once and figured it was going to be the same. Boy was I wrong! The service was atrocious, the food way overpriced for what it was. There were 10 of us and the only thing that was good was the steak(that only I ordered). They charge extra for the sides and having said that gave me fries instead of mashed potato. Dont waste your time or money here, I am never coming back!

This place used to serve better food and was more affordable. On our recent visit for lunch during the week we were welcomed, but the place reared of Chlorine and the bathrooms were inaccessible. A beer selected from the menu was not in stock, and was replaced (albeit politely) with a different brand. It took our waiter multiple trips to the kitchen to discover what was available, as several menu items were not. It was disgusting, we made a reservation, and the table wasnt available, they put us in different room, next to kitchen and it was dirty and nasty there, and then we sit in terrace, and the waitress said they cant have us, because it was busy with wedding.So my 30th wedding anniversary were ruined.Never again, will let know all my friends as well.

This is a horrible place to go to I would never ever go back there again and I would never ever recommend it to other people. Their food was okay but their customer service is horrible they treat people with disrespect just like theyre trash or not good enough to be at their resturant.. They judge people based on their look if you are Hispanic or middle eastern they would not respect you they only like Russian people thats the only people that they accept it at their restaurant. Most of their food is not available I went in the afternoon it was around 3:30 p.m. and most of their food Sushi & Asian food was not available soup was not available most of the foods were not available. The bathrooms were not clean there was no enough paper towels no napkins nothing. Their food prices is over the edge very exaggerating I would just recommend that you go to Opera Cafe this is the best restaurant in this area other than that dont try this nasty restaurant.

An interesting place to visit: lam and fish, I tasted, were good, especially kebab, bronzini, potato w mushrooms, local salad, and kutabi, but service was very lousy, and dishes selection was limited. The waiter tried to order my food by himself, not listening me at all, white wine was warm, and 16% tip was mandatory.

Married my wife here and the venue could not have been more perfect. Eldar, Nurdim and the rest of the gang took fantastic care of everyone.

Hands down they serve top quality food one of the best ive tasted. The only reason they get 4 stars is for the dishonest waiters who try to rip you off! They give you a credit card slip to sign and no check inside the book I mean really do you think we are stupid? I knew about their automatic 18% gratuity but my cousin decided to ask the waiter anyway and the waiter said only tax included not tips. I then step in and demand the print out of our check and guess what there it is the 18% gratuity lol. How do you expect to have return customers when you lie to them in their face! Is the extra 50 bucks that you will then split with your crew really worth it? Typical Russian mentality to scheme one another smh. Such a shame to ruin what could have been a perfect experience over something so petty!

My experience with this restaurant was not good. When they saw me that I look different I am not Russian they were treating me with disrespect. they were not treated me very well. Their customer service is horrible they were staring at me making me feel on comfortable. Their food prices is very high prices. compared to other restaurants in the area. They only got two stars due to the delicious food that they have other than that I would never go back there again and I would never recommend it to other people to go there.

We had a birthday party l for over 30 people for $130.00 per person menu.. Food was good but definitely for less than 30 people No food in the table ,all dishes servants placed in your plate. If you are step aside you missed food and cant get this dish anymore. We came home hungry.

Very unprofessional staff from hosts to busboys. One stuff member smiled to our party the rest had very angry looks the whole time. Food was salty and main course meals came cold. They charged our table for water without even mentioning that they would and how many bottles of watethey were about to put on the table. Empty plates and glasses were not taken from the table. Sadly, they also tried to push more expensive meals by not giving us any menus but instead we were told that the waiter would recommend to everyone what to order. Basically, the Baku Palace does not provide fair customer service probably because they include 18% regardless. Will not go back there!

We had our wedding (cocktail hour, ceremony and reception) at Baku Palace in May 2013. The cocktail hour was on the upstairs balcony portion, the ceremony downstairs, and the reception in the grand hall upstairs - we could not have been happier!First, the food. We went with the top banquet option and our guests were beyond thankful we did. The lamb chops brought out on plates of fire while the saxophonist played in the background during the main course was magical. Everyone raved about the sea bass kebabs, the tuna, the sushi, and oh the foie gras. Needless to say, no one beats Baku on food quality and quantity, even among the stiff competition in Brooklyn. I would go on and on about their food, but honestly, it speaks for itself.Baku also provides its house band/entertainment. There is the option (included) to have a show, but we opted not to since we had our own surprises. However, the band itself (male and female singers, saxophonist, dancers) was amazing. The female singer especially sang Rihanna better than Rihanna herself. Moreover, they took all of our music requests/suggestions, learned them, and performed them (i.e. Bonny M - who even knows those songs other than my parents?). The band does not come with an MC, however, so we hired Ella (she works with Baku) and were also very happy we did. Since she knows the band and works with them, we only had to deal with her, and she communicated and worked everything out with the band. The result was a very well organized and seamless entertainment package! On that note, I cant speak highly enough of how engaged and energetic Ella was. She reached out to me, gave suggestions, worked really hard on my requests, and was REALLY organized - all of which really helps when you have 5000 moving pieces and parts that night!The reception hall is magnificent. In my opinion, less is more in this beautiful backdrop. Its so grand and yet classic that you really dont need to do much to it other than a few flowers here and there on the railings.Eldar, the manager, must have been a successful therapist in his past life because he was just what the bride/stressed out party planner ordered. No matter what time of day or night, he would always pick up the phone and accommodate my request. If it wasnt possible to do so, he would always offer an alternative. Moreover, the man has such a calming voice and demeanor that you simply cant stress around him. Therapeutic aura aside though, he really was very accommodating and realistic with us.The only cons I have to mention were unique to my timing. First, the elevator wasnt working due to Sandy, but I assume that will be fixed and a moot point for future weddings. Secondly, if having the cocktail hour on the balcony, it gets a it crowded if people dont use the outside. Thus, if you have over 120 guests and its cold/raining outside, it might get a bit crowded.Tips/Recommendations: go top notch for the food (its worth it!); pay for 2/3rds or so of the guests for the cocktail hour because youll have a lot of leftover food otherwise; if doing the ceremony downstairs dont be afraid have it on the side of the water vs. stage (it worked out just fine for us with the beautiful iron tree in the background).Overall, we could not have been happier with our choice!!!

Music is too loud it hurts my ears and cannot have a conversation. When the MC speaks in the microphone, its like he is screaming right into your ear. Customer service is top notch!

They are so unrespectful. After we decided to rent the place for my wedding, they increased the price. There was some Christmas decorations which are not related to my wedding concept. They didn’t allow me to take them off.

This review is for event hall, not for the restaurant part.There are many blind spot tables around. If you are seated in one of those you are most probably left out from the event.When they are cooking something smokey, like kebab or kofta, to serve to the guests, the event area gets a lot of smoke some how.No view, no window!I dont know who is responsible but system is not the best one.I have been to several events in there. So there reviews are not from a single experience.

The restoutant used to be much better I had to ask for water coffee and tea for one hour No one was reacting in approximately one hour we got coffee and tea milk that was too much to ask! At 12 pm they brought water! What kind of place is it again?

Its been long time, owner and cook not same as name of restaurant begin. They not from Baku , and they use name for this place: Baku Palace food absolutely different , and bring reputation of Azerbaijan cooking down. Im strongly disagree with this. And not recommend this place as Azerbaijan food place!
