Massage was very rough and felt very rushed. We had a 90 mins couple massage and they never slowed down and it felt like they needed to be somewhere. Even after I said its a little rough it didnt change. Our room was right next to the toilet so you could hear constant toilet flushing and people coming and going. We are disappointed and wont return and dont recommend for a longer massage.

The men masseuse give the best massages IMO. I give 4 stars because sometimes they dont give full timed massages. I purposely check my phone before they start and check when they end. Last time I got back and foot combo and it ended 15 mins earlier than it was suppose to. Otherwise from that you really cant beat the prices. I recommend anyone to give this place a try. If you want somewhere with all the frills and fake customer service than go somewhere that will charge you $200 for a 50 min massage... you cant beat the prices of this place. I like a very deep massage and theyve always done a wonderful job with that

The lady that did my massage was amazing. I had a 60 min foot massage and 90 min prenatal massage. She was gentle and patience. BUT the guy at the front desk was disgusting!!!!!!By far nasty and unprofessional! I had to tell him about himself for sure!!!! Definitely brought down my rating.

A nice place and prices are very reasonable. Have been a few times. Walking in is actually better than rezzies, IMO. Last week I booked a foot massage for 2 at 3pm over text. They text at 2:45 that they need 15 more mins and to go to their other location. Thats fine. Get to the other place at 3:15 and theyre full and have no idea who I am. Fun. I recommend avoiding for appointments....this really soured me and I wont return, which is a shame because there arent many places like this in the area. But why even accept appmts if you dont honor them? I dont get it....

My massages have been on and off here. Some times it’s great and other times like my most recent time not so good.I get the same massage every time and request no oil. To my surprise I got oil this time and I got a bad reaction unfortunately. I told the masseuse to stop using it and she didn’t understand so she called someone else to translate. I think my masseuse got upset and the massage quickly went downhill from there. She even ended before my allotted time was up.My biggest drawback though is the front desk woman with short hair and circle lenses. She’s always there when I go. The only constant is her bad attitude which you can expect any time you interact with her. Sometimes she does not look up from her cell phone at all while checking me in/answering my questions.

Great service, and unbelievable prices. Clean and great ambience here. I come here basically every two weeks. My favorite masseuse is Lily!

Nice clean location, able to comms on text for appt but massages have all been missed for me. They feel rushed and not deep enough. And I have gone here several times to try a few different masseuses out Dissapointing.

YOU MUST GO! 30 minute back massage is not only affordable but extremely thorough. They really know their stuff and it isn’t just a standard back rub. I’ve been multiple times and every massage is the best money I’ve ever spent. Joy in particular is great but all the masseuses are fantastic.

Today I got a full body massage & foot massage done by Cindy & she did a fantastic job :) . I was beyond satisfied today with my service. The place was clean , warm & welcoming. Checked out the spa for a massage via ClassPass and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The spa is beautiful, soothing, and very clean. My masseuse Linda was fantastic and professional! A great local spot in cobble hill!

Accepting cash only. The young male concierge was extremely rude, treating new clients disrespectfully. He spoke to us while watching his phone, ignoring our presence when inquiring about massage availability

LOVE LOVE LOVE. One of my favorite Boerum Hill establishments. The massages are always great. I’m obsessed and recommend to anyone who will listen. I take friends and out of town guests. Both locations are Comfortable and peaceful. Staff is efficient and professional. Great prices. After passing this place for years, I know frequent every 4-6wks. LOVE!

My boyfriend and I got 60m massages here, we both left feeling it was the worst we’d ever had.I was told at the front after that both masseuses were “new”; it was truly as if they’d never given massages before. No technique and missing training on basic details. Constant bone on bone instead of muscles, and I had to remind my masseuse that it was a full body massage (he spent at least 50 minutes on just my back, barely any time for the rest of my body). We should have pushed for a refund. The free 2-minute massage I get at my nail salon is genuinely better than this one.Also didn’t mind this, but we had booked our reservation a week prior (with written confirmations from them) for a couples massage and when we got there they didn’t have us in their notebook. We didn’t mind splitting up into separate rooms since it was the only way they could squeeze us in, but in the context of everything else felt worth calling out.

I usually leave massages feeling worse than when I entered, but I feel really good. I wont name my masseuse because Im pro-gatekeeping. but they were amazing. Definitely going back.

Don’t understand the good reviews. The massage was ok, nothing to write home about. However, the front desk’s attitude was absolutely revolting/appalling. They had an incredibly condescending attitude and were unfriendly.They also only advertised their cash only prices on their wall and will notify you of their higher prices for card payments only after you go up to pay at the front. Beware if you intend to make card payments.They seem to share masseuses with the Relaxation Garden around the block.

I had a fantastic experience here. The spa is clean and is such a calming environment. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. My masseuse was incredible and made me feel so relaxed. He kept checking in with me about the pressure/intensity which I appreciated. I would definitely come back here again, one of the best massages I’ve ever had.

I’ve been to dozens of places and this is the only business that is consistent with their massage technique. I have plantar fasciitis and my feet always feel better after I receive their services.

Great value service!! I do recommend you book before you go as they get very busy. They have a clean and restful setup. Could the curtains close a little better ? Sure. Does every single masseuse give awesome back rubs, mostly. I encourage you to be vocal and ask for special focus on what ails you and adjust pressure as you go. They don’t use sented oils (in case you’re looking for aromatherapy)

Just left this place and it was amazing! Scheduled a massage in celebration of my 30th birthday. My husband and I got the 60 min back 30 min feet treatment and were able to have two beds in the same room. The spa was clean and practicing safety measures. We felt comfortable the whole time. I wish we would have asked for the names of the two ladies who gave us our service because they were awesome. Perfect amount of pressure and they got every knot out. We will definitely be coming back!Pay with cash and plan to bring a good tip!

If youre like me and tired of asking your significant other to rub your feet every few days then you need to heard to Bergen Spa. It is Swamys my go to for a self care Sunday.I always go here to get an hour foot massage. You can set an appointment over the phone but I always come at a time when its slow and they always take care of me. It doesnt matter who I get that day, I always get the best foot massages, sometimes I even fall asleep. They play tranquil music, have chairs that recline back, use warm towels to wipe your feet down and give great massages. I think its affordable at $42 dollars so I always budget to go at least twice a month.Ive never gotten a back rub from there before today but it actually was pretty good and made me feel super relaxed. The only thing I wish is that the reception away was a little further away from the massage area because while you are relaxing is can be hard when youre hearing the phone ring or people coming in and out of the store to make appointments. Other than that its a great place and I always come back.

Can’t beat $50 for an hour of a professional deep tissue massage in a cozy and clean establishment.The masseuses also provide some of the best pressure I’ve ever experienced (it literally hurts if you allow them to go hard).I’ve visited this place few times already and will definitely come back again.

Great place!! You can drop in or make an appointment...best way, but they can usually fit you in. They have different options so you can have a foot massage and 30 minutes for your back. It is clean and well organized.

Massage is okay. But the guy at the front desk is just horrible. He must be the owner of the shop because no one would ever hire him for the front desk for the business.

I had booked an hour massage and 30 minute feet reflexology. Both were wonderful and exactly what I needed. The masseuse listened to the pressure I had asked for and I didn’t need to ask twice. The price can’t be beat. I will return.

Amazing experience every time. The skill of their masseuses are just astonishing. I always end up more relaxed than I’ve ever been after each session and sleep better that same night than I have in years. This may not be heaven, but it sure feels damn close. Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed.

I was excited to try this place based on the positive reviews. On the plus side, the facility was clean and the prices seem low. However, the massage itself was so uncomfortable I had to ask my masseuse to stop what he was doing several times, including rubbing my coccyx, resting his hand on my buttocks, grinding his thumb into my jugular, and sticking his fingers inside my ears. At that point, I got up and left even though the time wasn’t up yet. Then he followed me out and hovered until I gave him a tip. Overall, incredibly stressful experience.

I was recommended this place by a friend and I am so glad she did! Normally I’m not the type to leave reviews but after my massage I have to leave an extra thank you.I came in on what appeared to be a busy Saturday afternoon with no appointment, and yet was able to be serviced right away. After working on my feet for almost 20 hours the day before and being in terrible pain, just a 30 min back rub (legs and arms included!) was enough to revitalize me.Without me having to say a word my masseuse was able to determine and work out the tension is spots that had been bothering me for months. I felt my joints pop and crack in ways that were actually relieving for once, and my soreness quickly dissipated. I am really so grateful for her help. She finished it off with a hot towel and I was left feeling blissful.As for the rest of the spa, it was a very clean and calm atmosphere, and all the other clientele were very respectful of the environment. The prices were very reasonable ($32 + $3 card payment surcharge, so bring cash!) and it was absolutely worth every cent. I look forward to recommending this place to others, and going back the next time I need help relaxing. Thank you so much to the Bergen Spa!!

Alright, I don’t know if there’s a difference between a massage and a rub but I would not recommend this place if you’re looking for a massage. The ambiance was great. Nice dim lighting and very clean, but the quality of the “rub” or massage just wasn’t of IT. The masseuse felt uninvolved and uninterested in the “rub”. Her technique was redundant and she’s didn’t feel as if she was trying to identify and alleviate my points of tension. All in all I wouldn’t recommend and I won’t be coming back.

I usually have a great experience here but recently experienced a massage that left me in pain for days. When asked to go lighter, the woman didn’t understand English but pretended she understood what I said. They also expected a tip afterwards, despite the negative experience.

This is my go to spot if I’m looking for some quick relief that is affordable. I haven’t been disappointed yet! Now if you’re looking for a luxurious spa experience, this might not be the place for you. However, they do provide a calming ambience. I highly recommend it!

The massage (back rub) was great and the price worth it, but the front desk guy was rude. I am not native English speaker, and looks like he was as well. When I arrived he asked me about my appointment type/time, but it was not clear and I asked him to repeat, and after he rolled his eyes and answered me rudely. Please teach your front desk stuff how to work with customers

Agree with reviewer Peter T. Based on my experience in May 2021. Just as Peter said, “The ambiance was great. Nice dim lighting and very clean, but the quality of the “rub” or massage just wasn’t of IT.”I am giving them three stars to give the business a benefit of my doubt. I went with a friend and we were both seen on time, very pleased with the vibe of professionalism. She was happy with her massage, but I was really dissatisfied. Might be one bad apple?Specifically - the masseuse moved over my joints in a way that seemed borderline problematic - if you could call it a technique, I’ve never had any other masseur do that. There were also significant gaps in symmetry, so what was done to one arm was not done to the other- like she’d work on my hand a little on the left side and then never reach my hand on the right side.

Just had my second visit to Bergen Spa. It’s incredibly clean and relaxing and I’ve never had to wait to get brought back for an appointment. This time I requested female masseuses for my boyfriend and I after work. Mine was fantastic.. she checked in with me to make sure the pressure was good and did an amazing and thorough job. My boyfriend said his was fantastic as well. This morning I woke up with a terrible tension headache from neck pain and now I feel like a new woman. I will definitely be returning again soon!! Thank you!

There were 3 of us gals that needed a massage on a rainy day. We got an appointment early for all three. We really enjoyed it. It was perfect. The music and atmosphere was soothing. Next week we will come for a foot message in the last boy chairs.

Honestly, pretty mediocre. The installations are good and clean, but the massage was terrible. Zero pressure. I could applied oil myself and not have paid $70. What a scam.

I called to book an appointment and they send you to voice mail. Then someone texts me asking me what massages I want. Then when I took a minute to reply they text me Hon? First of if your a business make sure your answer your phone. 2nd DO NOT CALL ME HON! That is extremely unprofessional. Im glad I didnt go there and I never will. 👎

Left this place in such a relaxed daze that I forgot what neighborhood I was in. Would recommend it to anyone and everyone looking for an affordable massage that makes you feel like new, for half the price of a more upscale place. Try it, youll be ridiculously happy you did!

Foot massage was bad. Basically a foot rub and no pressure no matter how many times I requested a reflexology foot massage. All he did was put a ton of lotion on an rubbed the feet for 45 mins. Not worth it. Back massage was slightly better but again did not focus on areas requested. Would mot recommend.

My favorite massage spot in Brooklyn! Theyre open until 10, but Ive arrived for an hour massage at 9:15/9:30 and theyre always accommodating. Depending how late you go, they sometimes only take cash (theres an ATM on site), so bring cash just in case (or pay the double ATM fee if youre ballin like that)

Excellent technique and professionalism of staff and cleanliness factor for overall environment. Could be better about maintaining a quiet atmosphere, consistency in service quality, and hiring of resources who have a strong command of the English language to ensure solid communication once the curtain closes. I was unable to duplicate the quality of service received on my initial visit due to the inability to communicate with my non-english speaking masseuse(s).

Worst massage ever! The masseur that I had literally gave me bruises and left me with broken tissues around my shoulder and when I’m home it hurts like hell! During the massage I can tell that he has no idea how to massage and he use force to massage my back no techniques what so ever! It made me so tense during the massage and I kept telling him to be a little gentle with my back.

The day after a massage here I woke up with huge bruises; has never happened to me even with super deep massages from other places. Also had foot reflexology and that worker seemed to know nothing about massage. Will not go back.

Came here yesterday to get an hour long massage. I had pulled something in my shoulder and asked the woman to focus on that. This massage was so painful I woke up today feeling more sore all over than before! She was pressing her elbows into my lower back so hard that I woke up with bruises today. I asked her for less pressure more than once and she continued at the same pain level. This was a really painful and stressful hour that did more harm than good. Will definitely not be coming back here.Also, it’s not listed when you come in but they will try and charge you and extra $5 if you use card to pay. Thankfully I had enough cash but they had me scrambling at the register trying to find enough. You need to let customers know that in advance!

A friend recommended this Spa to me and she said ask for Coco, you wont regret it. I scheduled my first massage and foot reflexology session on a Saturday. I was very pleased with the ambiance of the place. My massage was long overdue, so when Coco massaged my feet I felt like I was melting away. She massage every painful spot on my foot. I got immediate relief in my feet. I would definitely go back.When Coco started on my back that when I relieved how much tension was in my body.W

The service that I received was excellent. My problem with them is that they want to be a cash only business without stating that they are cash only. When I checked out I was informed that their :machine was broken. They even offered me the use of the ATM.. Also, unacceptable. They do not know if I had a debit card on me or sufficient cash. If this was the first time, I would let it slide, however, I am now done with this business and will not go back. If you are going to be cash, only, state that up front. Dont wait until I am ready to pay to advise me.

Went to this place reading the rave reviews however definitely did not have a great experience. The foot massage was a rub with limited pressure and the back massage was very painful to the point where I have bruises and sore spots from where the massue pressed his fingers so hard. A no point was I asked which areas I wanted to focus on or whether the pressure was to light or hard. To top it off after we had paid the owner chased us outside demanding to know whether we tipped and trying to force us to hand over more money. They also prefer cash which reeks tax dodge. Go with caution.

Amazing! I have always been nervous about going to a reflexology place because they usually look shady and are not always clean. The service was impeccable and the facility was clean, inviting and design forward which I appreciate as an Interior Designer myself. A space can have a huge impact on your experience and this one was A+

We like Bergen Spa. Its much nicer than some other similarly priced no frills massage places in the neighborhood. The space is well designed and very relaxing. The staff is always very pleasant and helpful. They play peaceful music and its reasonably priced.

I felt that my masseuse wasn’t a real masseuse. I have had many feet massage and it felt so good, but This one felt that he ddnt know what he was doing. Place is very clean with nice atmosphere .

Great deep tissue massage with perfect amount of strength on precise pressure points. The masseur took mental notes on what Id informed her where my problems are (due to weight lifting training) and focused on those areas well. She certainly has enough experience to tell where those problems are using her bare hands. In the 60 minutes sessions, she had massaged me directly with clean sheet in between her hands and my body, later on then applied massage oil for the 3rd part of the session, and finished with hot stones and hot towel to wipe off the oil. When she massaged my head and neck, she also put a small thin towel in between my head an her hands. The place is well design and spacious with each compartment. The music is just right, its so soothing in the background which relaxes you, but not catching too much of your attention. With all these good points, it also comes with a range of reasonable prices for difference services. Certainly good value for what you spent, while you can tip the masseur generously without breaking your wallet. Convenient location too with the Bergen St. station with F/G trains close by. Looking forward to try the reflexology next time.

The tall slim asian man at the front desk is especially rude. He hushes customers constantly and is aggressive in his speech delivery.Feet massages are done pretty much in the lobby as there is no hallway, space or wall (just half of a wall with slots in between so one can see and hear whats going on) to separate the check in desk from the foot massage area. Also, Bergen Spa is street level and very close to the corner of a busy intersection. As the door of the spa remains open, passerbys are laughing, dogs barking, cars beeping yet this guy at the front desk of Bergen spa is hushing paying customersUnfortunately, he ruined what should have been a relaxing spa experience and transformed it into a tense feeling of angst. With all of the competition in the neighborhood, I will not return to Bergen Spa.

Everything is perfect in this place. But the only downside is the plug in air fresheners that are toxic if inhaling all day every single day. I feel bad for all who works in the spa because they are there much more than the customers. Clients do not deserve the toxicity as well, they come there for improving their health and well-being and chemical air fresheners do the opposite. I am also allergic to chemical substances and this gave a terrible headache.I recommend switching to natural essential oils which I use every day and they help me to get rid of stress and headaches.

Cute spot. Very relaxing and good pricing. Decorated very sleek and the music is peaceful. On the website and on their ads it says “foot reflexology”. It’s just a regular foot message. A good foot message but not reflexology. Anyone know of a good place to get actually reflexology let me know!

Ive been here twice - once when I just couldnt anymore and stopped in to squeeze in the short chair massage, which I believe was either 10 or 15 minutes for $12. Went back today for the combo they advertise (30 min foot plus 30 minute back for $45) and ended up extending to a full hour of the back/body rub, which brought the price to $70 before tip. Jason was my masseur today, and did a wonderful job. Its been great both times Ive visited and Im looking forward to going again.I do recommend bringing cash as they will charge you a credit card service fee if you use a card (would have been an extra $6 on top of the $70 for me today). They do have an ATM in the lobby if you catch yourself short and the fee is only $1.50, but there are also several banks in the neighborhood if you want to stop at a bank owned ATM.Thanks, Bergen Spa! I feel human again. 😀

The place was beautiful. I give that a 5. The reason why I gave this place 1 star was because of the person who was at the front desk. I understand that punctuality was key but his attitude was deplorable. 10 minutes late and the way he handled the situation was not professional.

I just want to say i have been looking for a place where they do body and feet and i found it here i wish i got her name but she massaged all my kinks out all my tension. i have been in pain for a few weeks and this was something i needed .it was 75$ for 60 minutes body and 30 minutes for feet and i left feeling light i dont tip often but i handed her 25$ its clean quiet and just relaxing 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ from me definitely booking again next month.

I tried calling to book a couples massage and the guy who answered the phone was so rude and yelled at me impatiently because i politely asked him to repeat himself (he had a lot of noise on his end of the call)I have never experienced such a thing and It was very off putting.I just couldn’t stay on the phone and make a booking with someone who was speaking to me rudely. I can not even email them to try to make a booking because the email listed here and on their website is invalid.(I actually came here for a massage once a while back, and it was not very good, but i figured i would try it again but i guess not)

The back massage was simply incredible. Got the thirty minute foot and thirty minute back, and the foot was good, but the back massage was simply fantastic. Felt like an hour, and I only wish I had gotten the hour long version of it!

Co-worker recommended this spot. She gets her therapy frm Jason. Clean, serene, relaxing. Best buy n town. I get 30 min. feet/30 min body for $45! I always float away. Remember 2 take cash. Nothing like after uve had a long workday/week. U wont regret this.

I booked an hour session on the chair. I was disappointed that the masseuse that I got massaged my shoulders 85% of the time, felt like she was on autopilot. Hoping for a better experience next time.

After that she demanded that I had to pay beforehand. I don’t know what she thought but I paid. Usually they will take you in. Give you the message and pay when you check out!
