Located down an alley into a basement but its the original site of the historic Club 47 where many legends like Dylan, Raitt ,Rush and even Jimmy Buffett played.Food is reasonably priced healthy and tasty.Butternut soup and Black Bean Burger, vegan friendly. Intimate table..communal style..2 restrooms, friendly, knowledgeable staff, especially Matt Smith, the manager.

Great venue with a long history. Not a bad seat in the house. Excellent sound. Nice menu, moderately priced. But allow ample time for street parking. Not easy in Harvard Square, even for a veteran. :)

This is one the best singer songwriter landmarks on earth. Never mind Madison Square Garden, if you are a folk artist you need to play this stage, at least two songs in the round, once before you die. - C.C. Arshagra.

Went for dinner and a show. They were out of all draft beers. Got a salad and black bean burger. The salad was delicious, the burger was eh... BUT the reason you come to Passim is the music. We saw Brother Brothers and loved it. They even brought a special guest on stage. Cant wait to go back to hear more music.

No place like it , a veritable shrine of Boston folk! Intimate , full of history and charm right on Harvard Sq! Bucket list stuff if you are a true lover of music , it was like taking Muhammad to the Mtn for me personally!

Legendary folk venue. The place is intimate, and by that I mean tiny! Maybe 100 people in a room the size of a small garage? They really seat you close so be prepared to get to know your neighbors. Food us pretty good too.

Great Brighton House Festival performers and really good drinks. It was easy enough to get seats and it’s great that they require vaccination cards. Will definitely come again if we’re in the area.

Incredible music selection year round for all price points! Food is good and healthy options are available, too. Personally, I enjoyed a delicious butternut squash salad with feta cheese with a side of meat that was extremely satisfying.Seating is a bit tight but allows for some sort of communal table that proved to be a good solution if youre also trying to meet new people, too. It also keeps the place organized and neat, but prevents from dancing should the music be appropriate for it.Its a must if you wish to listen to some good live music and venture in an almost historic music venue!!

What an amazing venue with a beautiful history. We listened to six great acts during the fall festival and each one was unique. We ended up buying four CDs from these artists. We had a delicious Malbec and our kids had root beer floats. Our kids were mesmerized by the performers. So nice to have such a family-friendly way to introduce our kids to folk music.

Great little venue, very intimate and allows performers to share more about their music too. Sound was ok for the act we saw as it was more crooning style, not sure if they put rock or heavier bands in there.

Great little place! Went for Sunday brunch and got to enjoy music from a small folk group. Huge servings (I had French toast and hashbrowns, I had to take home leftovers!) and great service. There is art all over the walls to look at while you eat, the place has a great vibe. Highly recommended 👍

4.7. Such a great history and host to so much musical excellence. The only negative is the seating - its the best they can do in that space, but a bit too tight for my taste. But not enough to keep me away.

Amazing local venue and restaurant. What a hidden gem tucked away in Cambridge. I went here on a weekday night for dinner and a show and was blown away by the quality of music for such an intimate venue. This place can hold about 100 people seated for dinner and/or drinks and every seat is a great one. As a bonus, tickets are so reasonable and they offer even more specials if youre a student or member. I love that theyre a non-profit that supports artists to feature their sound. On top of all that, the dinner I had was great. I would recommend the Passim Burger which comes with rosemary fries. The perfect dessert was the warm bread pudding. Its a huge portion that can be shared between two people. Go enjoy yourself!

Wonderfully authentic folk-bluegrass venue that serves locally-sourced food. Brunch was a standout with a fiddle-guitar duo providing background. While the menu featured brunch favorites, the flavors that were doled out melded together as well as the music. Vermont sourced bacon and waffles along with pepper biscuit was outstanding. Everything had a clean taste to it and service was attentive, but not in your face. Made for a nice, relaxed Sunday. Would recommend for families or groups of friends. A real find near Harvard Square.

Two of us wandered in at noon looking for brunch, which they offer from 10am to 2pm on weekends. The food was excellent and the portions very generous. We split a three egg scramble and French toast with berry compote. We brought half of it home. Cheerful attentive service, too. Music wasnt bad, but the food was the highlight.

Its very pretty inside, I was here for a competition thing and the sound things were great. My only problem with this is that the food is pretty gross and doesnt have great options.. The drinks there were really good. You should get the rosemary fries, they were my favorite piece of food! I would go here for the show, get some rosemary fries and after go get dinner somewhere else.. I do like the space though!

Nice local performance music venue, tight-knit community. Reasonably-priced food service during shows and supports local emerging artists. The seating is always really packed in, so it makes getting around and sitting a bit tight.

The food was great, the music was exactly what I was looking for and they are a non-profit for the music school upstairs. Whats not to love? It will get crowded and warm in that little basement supper club but then again, thats what underground clubs are all about. I love it!

I love what they are doing here. First, its a live music venue that focuses on folk music. Its small (intimate) but theyre also all about the community. They run the Iguana Music Fund that gives scholarships to music and community oriented projects. Also, they recently started doing food in-house and got a great chef. The food is good! Its not only really good for a music venue but it actually is good in its own right. They have a beer and wine license and serve local brews from Cambridge Brewing Company.

Historic folk club. Tucked away in a back alley of Cambridge on the lower level of the non profit music school that bares the same name Club Passim makes me feel like Im back in the 60s when folk music was first becoming popular. Or the 90s when some of these same artists sparked its resurgence.Austere, clean, friendly with hot good and cold beer. Club Passim is a comfy venue to have an intimate night of music up close. Advanced ticket sales are a must, it gets crowded.

Club Passim continues to be premier venue for great music. This time, we had general admission (GA) tickets.Passims has configured the seating to be four front-to-back rows of tight tables. Three are reserved seating, one is GA, first-come first seated. The food offerings are no longer exclusively vegitarian, but the pub-style food they offer looked and smelled good, and could be purchased from the GA tables. They have a good beer list, with several on tap. And, the sound is really great. Live music is the reason to go, and Passims respects the misic and the performers in every way.

In this age of digital music, YouTube, auto-tune and cynicism, there is something truly spiritual and uplifting about being in a venue that connects you LIVE with music that is real. Its a room that encourages the engagement between the artist and the patron and the intimacy is unique. Passim is truly a special place. I have seen some remarkable musicians there-- Peter Mulvey, Martin Sexton, Richard Thompson, Patty Griffin, Shawn Colvin-- but also have seen new artists launch their careers. Open mic, Cutting Edge of the Campfire, the Iguana Music grants and the school of music all show that Passim is more than a music venue. Its a vital part of the musical ecosystem. Check it out and replenish your musical soul!
