Massage Envy

I had Ruthann as a massage therapist. I was asked online, at check-in and again when I met with Ruth Ann, what areas I wanted focused on. I explained I had a lot of tension in my neck and shoulders and some nerve pain in my lower back and hip that I would like addressed. She spent 75% of the 1hr Appointment on my upper back. I asked if she could work on my lower back/hip and she pushed at my hip for about 2 minutes and went back to my upper back. She seemed VERY uncomfortable touching people.Also- I paid $30 for the CBD and the way the website advertises, you get a whole jar of the CBD cream and you take home what isnt used. I got a tiny disposable sauce cup. Absolutely NOT worth the $30 for the enhancement.I wouldnt recommend this place. I usually go to a private masseuse but was away from home and this was not worth the money I paid.

There is no such thing as a 60 minute massage. Pay for 60, get 40! Embarrassing to have bought gift cards with this feedback.

This review is for Chonita F.! Chonita is amazing at what she does and she asks what you would like and then actually focuses on that area! She knows when the pressure is too much and makes sure that you are having a relaxing time! She goes the extra mile to make sure that you are having a great visit! I cannot say enough amazing things about her because she is truly a magician with her hands and makes me forget about all the stress in my life and the world for 50 minutes. If you need an amazing massage go and see my girl Chonita!

If I was rating my therapist, this would be 5 stars. I have been a member for years. Ive only recently been coming to this location since my therapist transferred. In that short time, Ive encountered two issues that are less than satisfactory. First, the price was raised without my knowledge by $10. When I spoke with the manager, Casey Buldock, he basically said they didnt owe it to me to tell me of the increase. The second thing happened today. I get confirmation of my appointment tomorrow and the time is 30 minutes late than was originally scheduled. I call the location and am informed that the manager changed it. Now as a business owner, I find this extremely presumptive and unprofessional. But as Ive been told by another member, Casey is the owners son-in-law. Does that mean they dont hold him accountable to being a good manager? Apparently.**Update: went in for my massage and found out the manager also changed the time for my next massage without contacting me. The front desk girl said she asked him about it and he said he tried to call me. Absolute lies.

This was my first ever experience at a massage envy, and I walked out with a membership. The other reviews for this location werent accurate to my visit here.First off, the receptionists were very friendly and knowledgeable about the services and memberships offered. I was welcomed with a warm smile and offered a glass of water. The atmosphere is already relaxing upon entering the front door.My massage therapist, Georgiana, was incredible. She asked my main areas of concern before we started. Without saying much else besides what general area my pain was focused in, she found and paid extra care attention to my trouble spots during the whole session. Her motions were so fluid and continuous that it made the whole massage even more relaxing than it already was. This is probably the best massage Ive ever had, and in the past Ive gone to ritzy or more upscale spas and paid twice the amount I paid here.I cant wait for my next visit next month, if youre hesitant to try out this location, request Georgiana and you wont be let down.

Tommy knows how to find those tough spots and really work them. I scheduled same day on a Monday @10AM. Front desk was extremely pleasant and helpful. I’ll be back and I’m asking for Tommy again!

If you want a REAL massage, you have to see Chonita. She will get you right. I suffer from chronic migraines and backpain and I woke up the next day after the massage feeling like a whole person. Not only is she great at her job, she was very kind! Will definitely be going back!

The worst experience of my life. The massage therapist refused to give me a message because she wanted to go home and it was the Last massage of the day. Dont go to this location. They look my money but no massage. Crazy! The Receptionist was fantastic though! She was very patient and kind. I wish it could be no stars! Manager didnt want to do anything though!

Today was my first time here and I was questioning if it would be good. Area was kind of dark but the music was great. I had Carol for deep tissue and she was great! She was timid about getting in and massaging the kinks and knots. She Was VERY PERSONABLE and down to earth. She talked to me during the massage, which was unexpected but I actually found I didn’t mind it. She explained what she was doing and the importance of why she was doing it the way she was. If anyone could sell a membership, she could. The woman at the front desk really didn’t sound like she knew what she was talking about and she didn’t do a great job selling by any means. I felt like she didn’t have the right words together to make me want to get the membership. She has no knowledge of the massages, or techniques It appears. She referred to my body as being “broken up” because the therapist wanted to see me back in a week. Not the best technique. BUT if anyone wants deep tissue and a very friendly and personable person, I think Carol is great and i would come back to see her

This location has some very good therapists, but the customer service at the front desk on second shift leaves a lot to be desired. Im a member with a home base in another state, where the service has been wonderful, but if this location was my only experience with Massage Envy Id be switching to Elements.I booked an appointment in person two weeks in advance, and when I came in for the appointment I was told that there was nothing in the system for me. These things can happen, and I would have taken it in stride, but the comments from the attendant working made a minor annoyance into full-blown irritation. How? By framing all of her comments from the angle that I made the mistake - apparently she thinks I was hallucinating when I made the appointment with her two weeks earlier!A simple acknowledgement of the mistake and Im sorry would have been all that was needed to smooth things over with me. Apparently her priority instead was to be sure I understood that she, unlike all other human beings, is infallible.

So a massage place of any kind is about the people. The therapists make the place. The facility itself is nice enough. A little smaller and darker than others Ive been to, but nice enough. Parking is easy and close.There is like a separate waiting room which is a bit different than I have experienced before.My first therapist was not that great. I need DEEP tissue and in specific areas.After a few sessions I changed and got a new one. He is fantastic. So give the place a shot and if you arent happy, change it up.

Great staff. Best price in Indy for a great massage. The members benefits save you a lot of money and all the therapist Ive seen have been great. Tend to book up for the weekend quickly though.

My experience was incredible. Amanda was incredibly professional and worked what felt like years of stress out of my muscles. The atmosphere was very relaxing. The light music and calming aroma refused to let me think about my stress.It was all around an amazing experience and I highly recommend it to anyone who has stress and wants to let some of it melt away.

I almost didnt come here because of the reviews on google. After being there, I must say the service was wonderful. Everyone was very nice. Alise was my massage therapist and she was incredible. So nice! Thank you, everyone at Massage Envy. Definitely recommend this place for anyone getting a massage. :)

Dont bother scheduling an appointment with this location! They will cancel 2 hours before your appointment. They will tell you they will have a manager call you back but you will not receive a call. A massage is supposed to relieve stress not cause it. I had the appointment booked 2 weeks prior for my husbands birthday. Basically I was out of luck. Thanks a lot Massage Envy.

Georgiana is absoutly the best. With my first visit she was able to read my body and know exactly what I needed and helped relieve so much of my pain. From somebody who lives with a chronic illness, THANK YOU!

Great service, friendly people. My job doesnt allow me to make appointments, and it is hit or miss if they have openings when I call to get in, but that is not a fault in my eyes! I have had several different theropists, and they are all well trained and good at what they do!

These guys are so professional and great at what they do. I particularly like Gina there. I had forearm pain and back pain and she worked those areas to relieve the pain. Great place to go!

I have had a lot of massages, and let me say that Shrya has far surpassed all of my previous Indianapolis experiences. If you need a good deep tissue massage I highly recommend Shyra.

The worst Customer Service Their phone system only answers with commercials. Almost impossible to get a live response. I cancelled the service and they continue to charge my card.
