I booked this hotel weeks ago through their website and paid. I get here to check in after driving hours away just for the very rude lady to tell me they did not take reservations and that she did not have a room. Mind you that there is only a few cars in the parking lot. She says all the rooms are full which is very untrue. She would not give me a refund and the website cannot give it to me for 14 days. I am now stuck out of town with no where to stay. Never ever book here online or OYO hotels at all they are the absolute worst. This place needs to be shut down. Another thing that happened at the front desk a lady said she could not pay her hotel today but the front desk is letting her stay. How do you have a room for someone who did not pay, but not for someone that has? Makes no sense
My husband and I stayed here for a week and definitely have no plans of ever returning.I had made a reservation online to stay there and pay when arriving.Beware there are two Hotel O & Hotel OYO. This location you cant tell is Hotel O as the sign says The Grand Inn.Checking in was a nightmare. I should have been able to go in with the reservation number, pay, and get the room key with no issues.Definitely not how that works!Upon arriving with my reservation number and the proof of the amount to be charged, the clerk had to consult with the owner to verify theyll honor the price because apparently OYO or Hotel O, The parent/sister company that they partnered with to rent out rooms at this location have cut their price of rooms tremendously. While I wait for the person to consult with the owner, there were a few people in the lobby waiting as well. The owner came into the front and looked at my reservation and begun arguing about the price saying it was too cheap to the clerk. The owner said Ill go ahead and honor the price. I went ahead and paid in cash as it would have cost more with debit/credit. After paying they did argued about which room to put me into. A total of three times they changed rooms before finally deciding to put me into the original room.A man came into the lobby as I was leaving out and he told me that he was the security guard and maintenance person and that the housekeepers had quit a couple days ago and he was also taking on the roll of housekeeping. We got to the room and had to wait for the owner to come turn the power on. It was in the dead of summer end of July beginning of August. It was hot in the room. There was one towel and one wash cloth. I requested more and was given an attitude that they only allowed one in the room, I said for two people? They brought more.During the week we stayed there never saw housekeeping service. There was no remote to the tv and to turn channels was wonky as the tv was old. If you hit the channel button, it controlled the volume button. If you hit the volume button it turned the tv off.I had to request a microwave. The beds wasnt comfortable at all. There were holes in the wall that I kept waking up to make sure no rat was coming through. The door wasnt completely sealed off.Definitely a run down motel. It was a non smoking motel room but yet the sheets and bed had cigarette burn holes in it.If I could have afforded more money at the time I would have gone else where.I definitely dont recommend this place. Also there is a Mexican restaurant on the premises of this hotel but I cant comment on it as we didnt go there. Oh and also there was no wifi internet service.Im not sure of how Hotel O/ Hotel OYO rooms usually are, but this experience made me not want to return to and motels/hotels owned by this brand.
Dont book with them!! First off I arrived at 1 in the morning its now 3:30 a.m. rode the bus from Louisiana to here. Originally booked at In Town Suites but I cant check in until 11 a.m. so I called to reserve a room so I could catch a Lyft there and get a lil rest. They went on to tell me I had to pay now, which I did. Charged my card not once but TWICE for $42. I get in the Lyft a 20 min damn near 30 min drive and we cant find the hotel because they have no sign saying Oyo only The Grand Inn the door was locked and they have a sign stating they do not accept reservations 🤣 and the lady behind the counter looked dead in my face and didnt budge to open the door.. so now Im at a whole different hotel that I paid $65 for..waiting on a refund for my $84..book In Town Suites they only do weekly stays. $252 for a week, $36 a night and with taxes included its $308 all together which is not bad at all. Only problem their lobby is closed from 7pm-11am so no one is there to check you in.. what a great way to start my birthday weekend off..9/16🥳 Big Virgo 🤧♍
The place isnt much to look at from the outside, but it was very clean and neat on the inside. The price was amazing at $54 per night.Front desk was very nice and professional.I met other customers that were also enjoying their stay.Lots of restaurants available and Doordash is pretty quick.I have been in more expensive hotels that were smelly or not so clean.
If I could give zero star, I would. Dont bother booking this hotel. There is no staff attending the front desk to check in guests at night, and a regular who came to check up on me said this has been a recurring issue. I arrived with another family at 10pm on a Monday night. We both have prepaid for a room through different hotel booking apps, and we didnt get the room we paid for. I had to wait an hour and half waiting to get a refund and change hotel. This hotel has expecting unattended guests to not go through the trouble to get a refund.
Bad service, room was not cleaned from previous tenants including the bathroom. Towels had hair all over them. Woke us up in the middle of the night three nights in a row to check the room. People were running up and down the walkway all night. If I wanted to go to the store had to around two miles to make a turn around to head back to the hotel. Microwave did not work took three days to replace. Roaches and honey bees in room. Tables were sticky. No coffee cream or Suger.
This place is awful my husband worked there 4 days and made 27$ . I then paid for two nights and the next day she told us we had to leave because we only paid for 1 night.FYI we have the recipts. She had a new girl working the front desk and didnt know what she was doing but was left overnight .I cant believe took her word over mine. The place is dirty nothing works. I am out $60 and if you dont need to stay there dont do it .There is no cable, no pool, its just trash.
Stay at your own risk!!! I made a reservation for a partial day starting at 4 am, then into the next day, so, two full days paid but only using for about 30 hours. They have an actual Oyo, less than a mile away, that is not this one. This one is called The Grand Inn. But they, for some strange reason, think its called The O. Customer service was terrible and when I was finally able to get the EXTREMELY RUDE lady on the phone, she insists that I couldnt have made a reservation. But she definitely didnt check because she never came down to the front desk. This place was a nightmare, and I desparetly needed the bed. Now, Im sleeping in the car. But, reading the the other reviews, I dodged a trashy room anyway. I sure hope they cant stay on business much longer.
Went to check in as a fema person since there are no rooms around. My sons white socks were black, we had to move a fridge from another room, the Chinese lady was VERY RUDE even to an employee who it was her first day. Went to check out and their printer did not work. The Mexican lady working that night was changing her kids diaper on the couch in the lobby. I had her write me a receipt that I checked out for fema purposes. This place was disgusting.
This hotel name is The Grand Inn - Channelview Houston not Hotel O East Houston. The 2 rooms I reserved were dirty, spider webs everywhere even in the bath tub. We used lysol wipes I used my own sheets to sleep on and still woke up with hypes Applying Benadryl cream and taking pills. It is a law when you us another company name to support your business.
Room was completely gross!! Ac was rigged to hook up.. curtains wouldnt clothes and the outlet in the wall was missing except the wires just dangling.. and it smelt horrible
Zer0 stars. Dangerous, not secure, filthy, disgusting. Exposed wiring to a/c touching carpet. Too much to list. I have video and pics. I travel for a living so take it from me, DONT*
Lord, we moved 5 rooms in One day!!!AC units sucked, tv didnt work, toilet over flowed, no guest laundry. Finally got into a decent room, AC was perfect, looks like a remodel was attempted, exterior has been painted, BUT, more needs to be focused on Interiors, no WIFI, way over priced for the lowest level of accommodations....wouldnt recommend...to anyone!! SAD very Sad state of affairs here at the NOT SO GRAND INN!!!!!Stay away from this place...the property Im sure is worth a fortune...bulldoze it and start over....in the 70s and 80s Im sure this was a great location to stay and rest....but 2016 not so much..STAY AWAY!!!!!
Just not a great for families. Maybe if your detoxing, or renting the room for the hour, or without shelter. I know that is rather harsh but this is a sad place. Why? Are you asking was I there? I was on a call to help a friend. Sometimes you got let someone hit rock bottom. The Grand Inn might be that bottom.
Place is completely rundown, when I got here I realized it was empty, the lady was trying to help me and changed the room 5 times to get one that kinda work, the other rooms didnt have power, AC didnt work and many other things, finally found one that had power, AC, and hot water, I decided to stay because it was cheap but the room smelled like moisture had settled, No tv, microwave, wyfy, walls outside are in disrepair, this was a good motel at one time and I remember it, now its falling apart, I know that I decided to stay but I not going to recommend it, the only good thing is that cense nobody is here but a couple of homeless people nobody messed with my car, the residents were nice and respectful, reservation should not be made anymore
Really poor prepaid for room only to show up and no one was in the office then they had the nerve to want to charge a cancelation fee. Dont book stay away from this place
OK here goes this place should be condemned seriously under a bridge would have been an upgrade only about half the rooms are usable the room we were in had condoms needles baggies and dirty panties under various locations a woman who apparently lives here made a huge deal about watching out for the zombies when I asked for a refund or a different room the owner brought out a new set of towels and proceeded not to speak English please burn it to the ground......
Good spot to get away or lay low. Price is a little high ,but hey its the local rate i guess. Good place to loose yourself all weekend😎 just stay away from the girl at the front desk☠
Only because we have no where else to go this room is ridiculous it says refrigerator, microwave in rooms thats a lie then she lied about the room smelling like the water came in no tv and if you go complain about it she throws u out like she did my sister SMH NEVER AGAIN!!!
Room AC did not work very well, wallpaper was coming off the walls, phone in room did not work, room had roaches! Would not had stayed but could not get money back.
Worst hotel, hotel stuff behavior so bad. Even they have many rooms btw they wont be provide.
The front desk is horrible so rude. My refrigerator is broken the tv was not working. I went to the front desk the first day I got there to tell them the refrigerator was broken and she said “ if you don’t like it you can leave .”
Price was great got a really good price for a week but the hotel its got a lot of potential but its nasty you got roaches you got drywall Im scared to sleep so I didnt sleep last night and I got a whole week there so Im getting some of my stuff from Storage people are nice but I heard shes cheap the owner and I dont know the pool that have water is nasty really doesnt look like a lot of people there this place does have potential its just dirty and nasty and she needs to take better care I hear she only has two Maids for over 300 units thats crazy but its an old facility very old
The room was cold, found crack pipes under the bed, just nasty, the walls needed paint or just a good ole wash job.
False pricing!! I booked a room, drove a hour to get there just for them to try and add a additional 15$ just a heads up
Decent place for whatever purpose youre needing a bed for. Good prices too. $61.
Worst hotel ever. Dont go there roaches every where dirty and stuff stolen out of car. Manager is horrible
This place is horrible and its over priced for what you get. I wouldnt recommend or return to this place. Dont waste your time because they do not refund your money.
Rooms are fairly nice they are accommodating, laundry area available...
It is a little old. But not a bad place to stay. And the price is reasonable.
On there website where u can book on line .. it takes u to a pay pal account... witch the older lady said they didn’t make that pay pall account
I liked this place because its accessible from the highway and is close to shopping and dining place with in walk distance to it!
Nasty smell, nasty sink, ants, the list goes on... thoroughly disgusting. Wouldnt recommend
