Massage Envy

Summer was fabulous, she is highly skilled with firm pressure. I’m not always a big talker during my massage, she was understanding and respected my need for quiet. Summer is kind, considerate and gives a helluva massage!! I did have issues getting in (cancelled twice the day of my appointment) , hopefully this is not a recurring issue.

KeKe was an amazing provider! She was warm, inviting and thorough in her intake. My facial was great and I was glowing afterward. She has such a nice, gentle touch and took great care of me.

My experience was awesome! Cody was very professional and used just the right amount of pressure, especially in the neck and shoulder area, during the visit. Hes also a great conversationalist! Ill definitely be back and will advise anyone thinking of going to request him.

Best massage ever - Angelo was so experienced and strong. Deep pressure, 90 minutes and I’ve already made the next appointment for 3 weeks, with Angelo!

Loved that he was so knowledgeable and delivered a massage with the exact pressure that was requested (firm). Incorporated stretching and really worked with my aches and tightness to bring me much needed relief. Highly recommend!

Nenita is a 10/10 across the board for her massage techniques especially with her experience in other massage fields. She was highly attentive and ensured I was okay with the pressure while also focusing on a relaxing environment. I highly recommend her!

I love Massage Envy!! Unfortunately my favorite masseuse left the company and I had to choose a new one. I had a session with Angelo and to be honest he was to rough for me. When I told him he was to rough he eased up and went right back to the heavy pressure. It was the most painful massage I’ve ever had and I will try someone else on my next visit. If you like a deep tissue massage Angelo is definitely the man for the job.

Johnnie is awesome. However, I would not recommend Massage Envy. I showed up for an appointment and was told someone accidentally cancelled it. I found the experience very frustrating because it’s difficult to get an appointment and then they may cancel it before you get there. Another client showed up for his appt and found that his therapist no longer worked there.I sent an email to management asking for a refund and their response was I had to use my credits before a certain date ot I lost my money.I have 90 minutes left and then I’ll never go back.I never could get a phone call from management. This appears to be their business plan.I would not recommend Massage Envy!However, I would highly recommend Johnnie.

Avery is a great massage therapist. She listens to what you want and focuses on those areas. She is also very friendly and puts you at ease from the get go. Highly recommended!

Yesterday I enjoyed a great 90 minute massage with Shelby at the Myers Park location at Providence and Sharon Amity Roads. Shelby did an amazing job applying some deep pressure to some of my trouble spots. She was so patient in moving singular high pressure points down the muscles in my back. If you e ever had a massage and thought in you head “awww that was awesome, do that again” then imagine the therapist taking the time to make sure the area was hot properly and thoroughly on the first pass. HIGHLY recommend going to Angelo for a massage! Best massage I have ever had. He has been the only person I’ve gone to for the past six months now and I will be sticking with him as long as I can! On top of that he is always super nice and welcoming!

I had an appointment with Magan McLean. I asked that she wash her hands before she massages me. The sink was right there, but for some reasons, she left the room and didnt come back until 8 minutes later. At that time, it was already 11 minutes passed. Then she asked if I wanted to watch her washes her hands. Apparently, she was mocking me. When she finally got to work, she didnt use much oil. I asked her to use as much oil as possible because my skin get red mark easily. She got frustrated and cancel the massage. For so many years, I have asked this same thing from my Massage Therapists all over the country. Nobody had any problem. I would say, Magan is not suitable with this line of work. She has no sense of customer service. When I was about to tell the manager of Magans behavior, the manager asked me to pay Magan. I was speechless. For what? She did not do anything. I should charge you guys for wasting my time and being so unprofessional.

Melissa is always thorough and great at what she does. My face always looks better after she’s done. I appreciate all her advise too.

I received a Microderm Treatment from Akeliah (Keke) & she was amazing! She listened to my skin goals & focused on my areas of concern. I love learning about different treatments & the benefits, & she was great about answering my questions as well as providing great guidance for at home skin care. Highly recommend Keke for facial services & will definitely book her again!

Monique was PHENOMENAL and I had the absolute best 90-min massage. She was professional and friendly and most importantly my body felt great when I was done. She has moved to the top of my list and I can’t wait to schedule regular appointments with her. Bonus! The staff at this location is also amazing.

Momo was the best, out of all the female massage therapists shes 10/10 hands down the best. Get an 1hr and 30 min with her, completely worth it.

Unfortunately customer service seems to be lost on this location. Appointment was 10am and I received a message at 9:55 AM that the appointment was cancelled due to a medical concern for the therapist. While I understand emergencies do happen, I do believe that there should be concern that a customer drove 20 minutes to be on time for said appointment and some type of compensation should be made when a situation like this arises. I requested to be contacted by the manager to discuss this and no one has called me back. I was made aware that if I had a late cancellation, I would be charged. Seemingly unprofessional all around. Its a shame as my therapist is amazing. Luckily there are other locations in the area. I am still deciding if I will return Take heed.Addendum: The manager did call me back and apologized. I really respect his professionalism in understanding my frustrations and concern so I’m updating this review. Hopefully this was a one time issue and I will update my review moving forward

Providence road location is by far the best. All staff are not great. Most are I wish I would have gotten the name of the curt unpleasant young lady when I checked out yesterday may 22 at 3:20pm there were 3 black ladies and the shortest of the 3 is the one I am speaking of. My wife Minnie davis transferred a session and she the staff lady was rude about process we needed to go through to transfer. I had a massage a few weeks ago via transfer and didnt have to do what she requested. Even still if thats the process her attitude was nasty! I hope theres some conversation with her about it for correction and being kind.

I needed work specifically on my neck and shoulders and Angelo did a really nice job focusing on my upper body and loosening the problem areas.

Shelby was great! Very knowledgeable about the specific areas that I was having tension and pain.

I cannot recommend her enough!! I was visiting Charlotte and disappointed to learn I couldnt take her back with me. Whoever is running that place is doing an excellent job.

Johnny at Massage Envy Myers Park has superb knowledge of the muscles in and around the shoulder and anyone with a frozen shoulder should book with him.

Johnny is an excellent massage therapist. He uses active release techniques that dissolve muscle knots much more effectively than any other kind of massage. I’ve been seeing Johnny for years, and highly recommend him. He’s professional, knowledgeable, and has undergone extensive training (at his own expense) to help his clients.

Nathaniel is amazing! He pays specific attention to areas that I bring to his attention, and also gives me a synopsis after the appointment. His massage style is wonderful!

The new office manager Amber is doing a great job keeping the front reception area welcoming, with easy access for clients. Running like a well oiled machine. I see and appreciate the impact her professionalism and expertise is having on this location. Great job Amber!

First I apologize to Angelo for missing my appointment and this comment in know what reflects on his work. When the staff called to ask if I was coming for my appointment I totally forgot, then I was informed I will be charged for the visit. I was a little upset and told them I was a long time member and if anything could done. A flat out No! I comment that was sad and usually I let things run off my back but the tone of the conversation led me not to schedule at that time. Within 2 minutes I received another call from them stating I would lose one of my packages too! What?! Finally I said they lost a customer and cancel my membership. I was told I had to come in and do so. In these times and ages customer service no longer applies. In addition, there was a death I learned of and didn’t need this at that time. Take away social media and learn how to deal with people on the phone and in person. Sad really enjoyed the professionalism from Angelo and how relax I felt.

I had the pleasure of experiencing a customized facial by Bea, and it was an absolute delight! Beas expertise and attention to detail left me feeling rejuvenated and glowing. Bea took the time to assess my skins unique needs and crafted a tailored treatment that addressed my concerns perfectly. Beas product recommendations were spot on, and I could see and feel the difference immediately after the treatment. She shared valuable tips on maintaining healthy skin between appointments, which I truly appreciated. I cant wait for my next appointment with Bea! I wasn’t going to write a review, but it was my birthday massage, and it was TERRIBLE. I paid for a deep tissue, and she lightly rubbed me the entire time..and pressed in random places. I mentioned twice that I needed her to go deeper. She never did. I was left with a migraine after that for about a week.

I brought a gift certificate I had already used and the front desk people worked hard to help me find the new one in their records. They were very kind. Angelo was great.

Terrible customer service! My monthly membership amount was increased without my knowledge or approval. It took me 3 months to get the clinic manager to contact me, and when he did, he offered no rational explanation and NO apology! When I joined several years ago, I was very pleased but i have cancelled my membership and plan to use my existing hours at any other location in the city. Only join here if you dont mind being treated with disrespect and disregard.

My massage from Keiri was superb. I loved the special touches. Warm towels and deep pressure. Shes fantastic.

He remains very professional throughout the entire session and offers recommendations for at home stretches to assist with trouble areas. Highly recommend!

Bemetria did an excellent facial and offered education on skin care. She has a pleasant personality made me feel very comfortable. I choose a shoulder massage and she worked out enough toxins that I felt the euforia the rest of the day.

MoMo is awesome. She is such a great provider- we now have 3 family members signed up with her. She is great at her job and is a wonderful person all around!

Devonte was a really great masseuse. He was attentive, his technique was great. He paid attention to my problem areas and he took care around my injured foot. He also used heated towels which was great 😊. That was the first time I’ve had heated towels used. I feel like a lot of my kinks were worked out 😃😃😃!!!!The Ladies at the front desk were all fantastic. I love this location on Providence.

The front desk experience is personal and accommodating. They make a point to get to know you! I joined monthly and my therapist Nenita is outstanding and listens to my needs. Each session is specific and targets my issues. Massages are the best part of my wellness care.

Monique (Momo) is the best massage therapist I have ever had. She always remembers her clients even if it has been months in between visits and makes you feel at home and heard. Her body work and touch is second to none - when I walk out of a session with her it feels like I have a whole new body. I cannot recommend a session with her enough!!!

Everyone is professional and friendly. Really appreciated the awesome massage from Monique. She is very educated and knows the muscle systems and can pinpoint the pain before I tell her. I really appreciate her healing ❤️‍🩹 touch.The front desk ladies are all so friendly and attentive to their clients. I love their follow up with appts and their willingness to help in anyway possible. So refreshing to be cared for this way.

Overall, my experience was great. They get 4 stars, for lack of communication. When I made my appointment via phone, they were not clear on pricing. I signed up for 2 services, and unaware it would be a different price than previously discussed. I think they should/could have have been more transparent on how pricing worked.

So I booked an appointment with this location for a 90 minute introductory session on 2/13 @ 6:30pm ($113). I was at intro rates because I hadn’t been in to a ME in well over a year. I found out a friend died the night before & had to cancel my session due to then having to attend a vigil at 6pm that day. I called that day (2/13) around 11:15am to cancel the appointment. I was told it would be a 50% charge which I understood because that’s the policy for same day cancellations (even though i was never told when booking). Come to find out the manager charged me 100% of a 60 minute intro session ($75). I called back asking why & she said to compensate for the therapist’s time & she was being nice by just charging me for the hour. The policy clearly states on the Massage Envy website for all locations 50% charge same day cancel, 100% no call no show. I gave 7 hours notice of my cancellation, therefore I was wrongfully charged more than I was supposed to since it was only supposed to be $56. I told her that & she said those are the rules . The website itself even says otherwise. Needless to say I won’t give any business to a location that overcharges customers & treats customers that way.

Monique was awesome! She is very good and very sweet. I enjoyed talking with her and felt amazing afterwards! I cant wait to come back again and I will definitely ask for her. I highly recommend Monique!

Melissa is the most amazing aesthetician! She always gives great advice on what my skin needs- and doesn’t need. Her facials are so relaxing. I always leave my appointments feeling amazing.

Angelo is the best therapist ever. I am a runner and I put my body through a lot of wear and tear. His deep tissue and trigger point work is exactly what I need to keep training and feel my best. She took the time to go step by step to learn about my skin care routine and then explained what I could do to enhance my skin care procedures at home. She has a gentle touch and understanding of how products can be applied to provide the most benefit to my skin. I left more knowledgable and with glowing skin. My experience with this location is always spot on! The facility is beautiful and clean. The staff are happy and welcoming. My therapist Devonte is 100%, hands down, the BEST I’ve ever had. I have been with Massage Envy for almost a decade between NH and NC. I have seen at least 40 different massage therapists. Devonte is absolutely AMAZING!! His pressure is spot on. His techniques are completely different and all my tension is released and I feel great after every visit! Do yourself a favor and book with him. You can thank me later!!

I have always gotten Chik Fil-A type customer service everytime I come to Massage Envy. Which is what keeps me coming back. From the manager Deja to each staff member. Dejan what can say. She makes you feel welcome, very personable. She checks in to ensure each person had an pleasurable experience. Ethan my massages me currently and he is the best and very very professional. His knowledge of his professional is impressive. He doesnt just massage you, he educates while doing it so you have true understanding of your body. He deserve an award. Johnny is very knowledgeable of the anatomy a physiology of the human body, and use this knowledge to provide a therapeutic experience more than just relaxing massage. I highly recommend Johnny, if you are lucky to get a spot. He is always booked but I lucky out sometimes. Thank you John for always doing an excelent job!

I throughly enjoy my experiences at Massage Envy. I split my time between Nathan and Angelo and they create the perfect balance for me. Both create a great environment for relaxation and I feel comfortable on both their tables. Angelo gives that tough love, more intense massage while Nathan creates that deep zen relaxation vibe. And I’m the kind of person that needs them both.

Very Bad experience!!! I booked an appointment and never got a confirmation. I called so many times to confirm, after which I was told I am not in the system for any appointment and guess what? I was charged $113 for not showing up because I did not have any appointment. Instead of calling my number, they called my husbands number on the day of the appointment!. I spoke to the manager who accepted that sometimes if you dont book online, is difficult to tell in the system and is something they are trying to resolve. Long story short, Manager told me she will investigate and call me back. It has been almost 2 weeks, and i have not received any call back, and she has been avoiding my calls as well. I have had great services with massage envy, but this is very disappointing!!! I am still waiting for my refund!.

Angelo is first rate! One of the best massage therapist Ive ever gone to. Hes the reason I go to Massage Envy.

Another wonderful massage with Angelo. His pressure IMO is more aligned with deep tissue which is what I prefer.

The front desk staff are incredibly kind and personable. They remember intimate details about me and go out of their way to be extra kind. If you can get a massage with Johnny, consider yourself lucky. He is easily a $200/ hour massage therapist. He has always gone above and beyond any expectations I had for a massage at massage envy. Great location as well.

Angelo is a great massage therapist. I’ve had many massages recently and were supposed to be deep tissue, but, no one can really go deep enough to really be enough help. Not the case with Angelo, he was able to apply enough pressure to alleviate the problems I was having.

Chad did an incredible job of, not only working out the knots and pain in my muscles, but also of making me feel comfortable. Its been a long time since I got a massage so I was pretty nervous going in, and he treated me like an old friend and the anxiety just melted away along with my aches and pains.

Johnny is the best massage therapist I have ever been to. He truly cares about his patient’s health and well being. I am so glad I found him!

Angelo was great! He even made suggestions as to additional things I could do to keep my back strong while I heal from this injury.

If I could give no stars I would! My car wouldn’t turn over for some reason so I called to inform them. I knew if I didn’t cancel a day before I was going to get charged half of the services which was fine. The manager advised me to come anyway. I got there (need I remind you I drove 45 minutes away) and pushed my membership fee through. When the manager tells me that I only have 20 minutes of my massage left at the full price. This was after they walked me in and sat me down to wait on the therapist for 15 minutes. I was infuriated! I had no problem paying for half of the service to miss the appointment, but to make me drive 45 minutes just to give me 20 minutes is ridiculous. When speaking to the manager she was course, rude, and had an overall nonchalant attitude. She seemed to have no since of remorse for wasting my time. I have been a member for 3 years and today made me cancel it. I don’t know why the customer service in this area is so horrible but Charlotte & surrounding areas need to get it together.

I had a 90 minute session with Michael. I am a massage therapist myself, and really needed a massage while I was on vacation. Michael gave me the perfect firm pressure I wanted. He knows his craft. From the neck work, glutes, legs, and especially the back, he did an amazing job! I’m very happy with my experience at this massage envy , and would 10/10 recommend Michael to anyone looking for a firm or deep pressure! Hope to be back one day and get another one from him!

I was in bad need of a massage. Made my appointment online and selected Johnny who provides deep pressure. I received a text the day before advising me that Johnny is very skilled at therapeutic massages and can really get in your pain areas. If I was looking for a relaxing one, I might want to select someone else. Given my pain level, I decided to stick with him. Oh my goodness, Johnny was amazing! He hit areas I didn’t even realize needed work. He talked with me through the process. We were a team! Though there were areas of discomfort, it was all about getting better. I typically stiff coming off the bed afterwards, but literally bounced off I felt so good. I feel like a new woman because of him. He’s my new man! Thanks Johnny!

Is it possible to give a place less than 1 star. The staff is rude and disrespectful including the manager. One of the masseuses wears a Trump pin on her uniform. The fact that the Russian manager allows this isnt a surprise. I felt VERY uncomfortable and the massage was medicore at best. Save your money go to a private spa where they arent tolerate of bigotry.

They have canceled my appointment 3 times now. Once because they said their website malfunctioned with my appointment and the other two times because of the therapist being sick/ out even though the appointment has been booked week in advance and I am told 5 days before the appt. The women I spoke with them and they said the website is out their control which is completely ridiculous as they just choose not to fix the website. They wasted a good bit of my time rebooking 3 times as well as driving there.

Johnny is very experienced and I highly recommend him for your deep tissue massage. Pleasant personality and a really nice guy.

At the end of my membership I had a scheduled appt. for a facial on 02/03/2022. When the appt. got made I was not told it would have to be a two session or one session and you pay $60. I was told after my services were completed. I tried to explain to the the lady but she over talked me. I ask to speak to a manger she said they would contact me in one to three days. I then tried to pay with cash and she told me she had already charged my card. I will not be renewing my membership with Massage Envy.

If possible I would give this business a zero star rating! While unable to use my account during Covid, my account was cancelled and all of my existing balances erased. I was told they attempted to contact me, but I received no messages. They made no attempt to correct or offer anything to keep my business or replenish my account. I was told a manger would be in later but nothing they could do, this place is a scam please don’t waste your money!BUYER BEWARE!

First massage Ive ever had -- the staff was friendly, however I asked to have a full body massage with a focus on my neck since that is where I was having a lot of issues. I had an hour long massage and the massage therapist didnt touch my neck until the last 5 minutes AFTER I had to ask if she was going to do anything there. She told me there wasnt much time left but that she would for the remaining 5 minutes. I guess she forgot that was the focus of my massage... I wont be returning

Terrible customer service. Owner is absent and no one answers phone. Called 10 times today (Sat at 11:30) no answer. Left message and no return call! They sign you up, charge your credit card every month and hope you never show up. Every time I do call, they tell me they are booked up and have one or two openings the next few days! Understaffed and terrible customer service. Not sure what the front desk girls are doing, but I know they are not taking calls! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY - $70 WITH TIP NOT WORTH IT, YOU CAN GET A REAL MASSAGE FOR $80-90. Most of the staff are new and inexperienced or do the minimum to get away with it since they are paid horrible. The good ones do not last long.

This locations goes through managers like there is no tomorrow. I did a year contract with them over a two years ago. I went through all the necessary paperwork to close my account at the end of my term (1 year) and it was closed. Then my account was debited again a couple of months later and I was given a full refund. In January ME started debiting my account again. The new manager said there is no documentation of me closing my account. Thank goodness I save everything. I have to rate them or I can not post but I defiantly give them no stars. Buyer beware!

Scheduled an appointment early in the week for Friday night. They called on Thursday to confirm the appointment which I did. Then on Friday, less than 12 hours before the appointment, they tell me that my therapist actually isnt coming in and they need to cancel. Of course its so late at this point that there are no other available appointments for the entire weekend there and at any nearby locations, nor even any other massage companies. Ridiculous that there policy is the customer needs to cancel at least 24 hours in advance, but they can just cancel whenever they want right before the appointment. I will never go back to any Massage Envy, especially this location with the way it is managed.

Terrible customer service, the worst I have ever seen. I have prepaid for 5 months without using the services, and because I did not pay further they took me to a collection agency. Incredibly greedy, legalistic, and having cancelled my membership, which was an ordeal in itself I am not entitled to receive the services I have already paid for. Stay away. I made some referrals in the past and purchased gift certificates for others but now I regret having referred people to this place that operates on squeezing every penny out of their clients without feeling any obligation to provide matching services. Massage Envy should have a class action suit to force them to pay back customers for services not rendered.
