I had a great experience here today for my first ever prenatal massage. They are really professional and super clean. My massage therapist, Amelia, walked me through every step and made me feel so relaxed and comfortable. I can’t wait to go back

My boyfriend and I went here 3 years ago on a visit to NC. The staff were really nice. Our couples massage was great, and we really enjoyed the tea bar! Prior to the trip he had worked for 4 years straight at the time without taking a sick day. He definitely needed the TLC and Urbana provided that for us both!

My first time here, one of my friend gave us the gift card.we had a great experience, start to finish.My masseuse was rwonda, highly propfessional and very welcoming!I discussed the pressure, firmness and other concerns that i had and Rwonda very well took care of them.Definitely recommend, urbana spa.huge facility, apt prices and great masseuse !

A friend of mine recommended this place for a facial and was not disappointed, my face feels healthy and rejuvenated. My esthetician Sarah was amazing! Even though I booked last minute I never felt rushed, everything was as smooth and as professional as anyone can ask for. Im already booked for my next treatment.

I visited Urbana spa for the first time last week, and it was one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Everyone there is accommodating from the time you walk in the door. The new building is top of the line, the front desk staff is welcoming, they even offer you complementary wine. And my therapist, Sophia was amazing. If you go to this spa once there is no need for you to go anywhere else. I will definitely be back. So if you are looking for the perfect place to relax and get a great massage plus find a staff that is more than accommodating, then definitely give this place a try.

A friend invited me here to unwind and get pampered. We went early on a Sunday morning. Upon entry the atmosphere was very relaxing and welcoming. The lighting and music was perfect. Check-in was brief with a one page form. I really liked that it included a question regarding whether or not we wanted a massage with or without talking. We were offered tea, wine, and water. We purchased the Royalty experience spa package. We actually thought we would be in the same room throughout our services because we scheduled it together. Unfortunately, that was not the case for any of our 3 services. Nonetheless, we really the experience. The staff was extremely courteous and friendly. The sugar polish and body wrap was our first service. Karen was very knowledgeable and helpful. It was a messy experience but the results were amazing! There was only one shower available. So our start time was staggered. While we waited for our next service to start, massage, we sat in a very small waiting area that was basically located in a hallway. The were 2 chairs with a small table where we sat with only a robe and flip flops on. I had no place to set my belongings that I carried in a loaner signature tote bag provided during my first service. The area was divided from the main entry by hanging beads. We could see other guests as they arrived and were guided to a room for their services. We had tea and wine as we waited. My massage was performed by Laken. Before starting, she asked about issues I wanted addressed and the amount of pressure I desired. She did an amazing job. For several days I didn’t experience any pain in my shoulder and lower back. Lunch was included in our package. Our lunch was in a room designated for couples service. There was a small tall table with two chairs but there was only room for one person to dine comfortably. So we stood up the entire time. We ordered a chicken Caesar salad. It looked great but we couldn’t eat it because the salad was too cold and the chicken was frozen. We had it packaged to go and we enjoyed tea and conversation as we waited for our next service, a signature custom facial. At this time, I still had a robe on but my friend was completely dressed. Unfortunately, she had to get undressed again above the waist for her facial. Laken also performed my facial and, again, did not disappoint. In the end, our skin felt amazing, our faces were glowing, and our bodies were relaxed. We received a refund for our lunches and 20% gratuity was included with payment. Overall, I really enjoyed the services. The accommodations during our wait time and lunch leave a lot to be desired. However, we both agreed it was not a deal breaker and we would return. Next time we will do something a little different so that we can possibly enjoy each other’s company throughout the experience. I was torn about the amount of stars to give but settled on 4 because my skin still feels AMAZING!!

Came here with my fiance for my birthday. Worst massage ever. Too hard when i asked for her to lighten up it was to light. No in between, either glides hands on you or is absolutely painful. Could hear her checking her phone repeatedly in between. On the form they ask if you want stretching, i put no but still received 1 leg that was stretched. Neck massage was the only thing decent but left there with neck pain. Would not recommend and definitely not coming back.

The spa was phenomenal. I am my daughter went here for her 17th birthday. They were so kind and patient with me and my daughter because this was our first time. They greeted us with beverages, such as tea and champagne. The atmosphere was superb. My massage made me feel like I had an entirely new body. My facial was wonderful and gave me the rejuvenated glow I was looking for. I spent about 10 extra minutes, taking selfies. Lunch was also great. Super yummy. This place is definitely a 10 out of 10 recommend❤️

I had a great experience at Urbana… from the check in (such a pleasant front desk support person) to the tea, to my masseuse. Brandon was my masseuse… he asked me if I had any areas of concern and he was attentive to that area and I felt so much better when I left. Thank you! I will be coming back!

I went for my birthday back in February. My couples massage was very relaxing to the point I was snoring haha. I would recommend 100%. The atmosphere and masseuse were so nice.

My massage and wrap felt amazing. I loved the workers I had. They made me feel at home and comfortable talking with me and made my muscles feel great and my skin so soft. My facial was amazing, too. I plan to come back soon.

Manager, Michelle, at Urbana Spa was rude, unkind and unsympathetic. I do not recommend spending your money at this establishment. The level of care and service receive by the manager, Michelle, was not appropriate.I called to reschedule my massage for my boyfriend and I. I had an emergency life threatening surgery. She was extremely rude stating something wasnt disclosed on my intake inform so she didnt believe me. I tried to explain the emergency situation and even provide Dr documentation of the surgery. Michelle flat out stated she didnt care bc her ppl needed to get paid regardless. This was very saddened - especially after explaining I just lost a pregnancy. She really showed no empathy.I gave in and state that my boyfriend will keep his appointment and Ill have a friend show in my place. Michelle tells me I am no longer welcomed at the spa, she would not issue a refund nor provide the services. So I have to pay for spa services shes refusing to let us receive

I have always had the best experience at Urbana and this will continue to be my go to for an amazing massage experience! Take your significant other and enjoy the relaxation of a couples massage! Phil and Corinne were delightful and helped us wind down after a busy weekend.

This was my first visit to Urbana Spa. You are drawn in upon entering the door by the music, lighting, and decor. They add to the ambiance. I arrived at 6:30 PM for a 7:00 PM appointment to enjoy the tea bar and relax. They have a large selection. However, two were available. I choose the Peach Bellini over the plain Green tea. The tray service with the honey and raw sugar were a nice touch. I was greeted by my masseuse at 7:05 PM and escorted to the back. My massage started at 7:11 PM and ended at 7:40 PM. I booked the 45 minute introductory spa to try them out. I asked the masseuse about her technique during the massage, if that was the East to West. She replied, no that she was doing her own technique. It was different...My massage ended early. I asked the masseuse if it is Urbanas policy to end early as I put on my Smart Watch and showed her the time. Reminding her that I arrived at 6:30 PM. She explained that the clock was wrong and they dont check the times since they work different rooms. She then explained that a couple that were doctors changed the time on the clock in their room once by 20 minutes so they truly dont know what time it is. I told her that I would follow up. I proceeded to finish dressing and walked back to the receptionist who then entered the wrong price for my massage. When I told her the price was wrong so she went to the back to verify it. She corrected my service price. I booked a follow up service for next month but I am skeptical of giving Urbana another chance. I am thinking that I need to try a different masseuse. I will see how management deals with the matter.

I’ve worked there and also gotten massages. Everyone is great. I would say go see Sophia. She’s one the best out there. Does energy work very well.

The most unethical business that I have come across. I had made an appointment but fell sick with high fevers but the front desk girl was so arrogant and rude. Her first and immediate response was absolutely bo cancellation policy after 24 hrs even if you met with an accident! They would not cancel and charge the card no matter what. They will screw you over no matter what. The manager could not care less or could not be bothered. Not worth my time and stress! Totally do not recommend this place.After arguing for 15 -20 mins trying to convince you how I fell sick the night before the appointment. You gave me an option to just pay the service provider, Ofcourse for a 90 min massage.

I came in for a birthday massage. Karen was absolutely amazing! I left feeling completely relaxed. I will definitely be back. The ladies at the front desk were super sweet as well.

The staff is wonderful the atmosphere is perfect! I love coming here. I travel an hour just to come to this specific spa! The couples massages are amazing! I only gave it a 9/10 because there should at least be a 15 minute grace period allotted for customers arrival time. No matter how late you are its automatically taken away from your massage time. Even if its 1 minute

The spa was amazing! Everyone is very friendly and it was so nice and quiet. The massage by Tareva was fantastic and she will definitely be seeing me again! Highly recommend this place, you wont regret it!

I got a couples massage for my fiancé and I to celebrate his birthday and had a great experience! Staff was super friendly, the waiting room area was very soothing and we enjoyed a glass of wine before our massage. Prices were very reasonable and the massage was great. Urbana is hands down the BEST place to get a massage! My husband and I have tried a few different places to get massages but I will never go anywhere else again! The staff are all amazing (especially the masseuse Katie), the atmosphere is so relaxing, the tea is always so yummy and the price point (I have the monthly package) is well worth it!UPDATE: Today I saw Phil for first time and I just wanted to add that he is also wonderful! He really took the time to work out a lot..I mean ALOT of shoulder area knots and really gave lots of relief to my shoulder tension and also great at home tips! Is I guess I’ll have to share my sessions between Katie & Phil! Lol ☺️

I bought a spa package for my mother and I. It was a special day since I booked the spa day for my mothers birthday. The receptionist was the sweetest. She greeted us and offered us a beverage while we waited. We both had a massage and facial. Everything was great. We didn’t wait long, the place was clean, and very tranquil. Everyone that provided my mom and I a service was amazing! Very nice and professional! My mother can be hard to please and her last experience at a spa was not the best but She LOVED it here. She would like to come back…and me as well! 100% recommend this place!

Not worth the 1 star. Would not recommend this place to anyone, please avoid if possible. I got my husband a massage for Christmas and he said it was the worst massage he’s ever got. The masseuse had long nails and rough hands, terrible experience. I called management to tell them about the experience and they completely ignored my calls. Never again 😡Reply to your message- I do not see any reviews about the therapist on the same day service so that’s a lie and the manager was supposed to call me back and never did. The only accommodation you offer was to pay 50% for another visit and I do not feel comfortable with that at all. I do not want to spend another penny at your location. Terrible customer service!!!

The vibes as soon as you walk in a very calming. Nice music and smells great. Looks very modern and the service is top notch! Even the receptionist was Amazing! I actually took my mom and she said Nino was amazing and massaged her from her head to her toes. Im actually excited for my appointment tomorrow. Definitely book yours today!

We had a couples massage for our anniversary. It was such an amazing experience. The massage therapists were very skilled and applied pressure evenly throughout the session and accommodated us to the T. Loved the chocolate covered strawberries although really cold. And the red wine was a perfect touch.

Everyone I interacted with was helpful and friendly. The spa itself was clean and beautiful. The person who worked with me was gentle, thorough and gave me great detail about what she was doing the whole time. It was clear that their priority was my comfort and I appreciate that.

Had to fight to not have a penalty due to canceling due to weather on Jan 9th because of their strict cancellation policy.There was extreme weather and a tornado warning, but was (rudely) informed it was only drizzling there and people have to get paid. We own several small businesses so understand the importance of cost and paying employees, but should never be at the detriment of someones safety.

I got a 60 minute Hot Stone massage from Karyn. She is the ABSOLUTE best. It was my first time there but Ill most definitely be back. If you go please ask for Karyn. I promise you wont regret it. The spa is always a beautiful vibe/experience.

We were visiting for the weekend and this spa was recommended by a local and it did not disappoint! The environment as soon as you walked in was inviting and very clean. The receptionist was very nice and the therapist were absolutely amazing!! 10/10 recommend and if we are ever in the area again, we will visit for sure!

I scheduled an enzyme peel at the Huntersville location. I was told to expect to peel for up to a week. I never peeled, nor had any redness or discomfort. I called the manager to report I saw no results. She kindly invited me to return for another treatment, and she said this time; it would be with a more seasoned Technician. No charge for that visit. I went to the Charlotte location for that appointment. Same thing. No results at all. I was asked to sign a waiver at the beginning of the second session that said, I understand, that I may not experience any redness, peeling and any other symptoms. Those symptoms are what to expect when a peel is done right! Money and my time was wasted. I used this spa several years ago, and was very pleased. I feel the Technicians now have little experience with skincare treatments.

Scheduled time for a 75 minute massage was less than 60 minutes, the receptionist told me my appointment was 4:15, when I was told it was 4:45. I was told that my Groupon was not valid, even though I explicitly stated on the phone I was calling to redeem a Groupon voucher. Then I was told they would review the recorded phone call because they did not believe what I said. After they reviewed my phone call, they accepted my groupon voucher. The massage was great, but all of the logistics involved was horrible. At first, I walked out of my massage ready to book another session but after that experience, Id much rather go elsewhere instead of being accused as a liar and cannot keep track of appointment times.

We had a wonderful experience here! I got my boyfriend and I a couples massage for his birthday it was his first time getting a massage. He and I really enjoyed the experience. All the staff here were so kind and had such great customer service. The rooms were so peaceful and clean. It was a very relaxing experience. We also really enjoyed the hot tea that they offered prior to our visit it really helped set the mood for a relaxing massage session! I highly recommend coming here with a spouse, friends, and just for yourself.

It was a great experience. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable! My esthetician, Laken (didnt catch the spelling of her name) was fantastic. It was my first facial and she walked me through everything to make me feel comfortable. She also gave me a personalized skincare plan based on my needs. I will definitely go back to her in the future!

BEWARE!! This place does not look out for the customers interest. We had a schedule appointment however there was accident on the highway which made us miss our appointment. We called an hour in advance of our appointment to explain our dilemma however, they could not reschedule our appointment or refund our deposit. So we lost $88.00. Very disappointing we will not use this establishment ever again.

Customer service of the massage therapists was so-so; the experience seemed rushed. My therapist popped my lymph nodes throughout the massage, which was not relaxing. The experience was not worth the price.

I had an appointment with Brandon today at & I called to confirm and these people gave my appointment away saying I didn’t make the appointment! There was 3 people at the desk that could confirm but they wouldn’t look into! Every time I tipped this man $100 & $50 and you try something as ignorant and this! Screw URBANA and everybody that works there!!!

The service was booked for my mom for an early Mothers Day gift & she absolutely loved it ! The set up is nice and inviting . They even offered us complimentary drinks which was a bonus . I will be returning soon

I booked a spa party for my sisters birthday. It wasnt at all what I expected. There were no locker rooms, no robes, no relaxation room... Even the chairs in the lobby were uncomfortable. My therapist wasnt the friendliest although she did work around my accommodations. After the massages, our party was held in the lobby of the spa. If all five of us were there, it wouldve been noisy. The fruit and cheese platter was plentiful but the fruit was so frozen we couldnt eat it. We ended up packing it up and bringing it home after a two hour drive. Lastly, I knowingly booked a non-refundable party but I dont understand why you cant cancel or reschedule just like the regular massages. Definitely not worth the money I paid.

I had a great experience all around. Karen was thoughtful and gave me a perfect massage. The atmosphere is spotless, comfortable and relaxing. I felt like everyone was working to make sure my experience was excellent. I highly recommend Urbana in Charlotte.

This place was really nice my husband was surprised when I gifted him a massage for his birthday here. I decided not to participate and receptionist allowed us to have a champagne toast before he went to the back. I will definitely be coming back to experience the treatment myself, however my husband said it was a great massage. I found this place off of tiktok and I’m so glad that I did.

The massage therapist was nice and friendly but I kept telling her to apply pressure and she never did. I left with the same pains I came with and 100.00 less money. I told the mgr and she offered me half off a future purchase even after i told her I took time off to come to this appointment and that it was on another side of town from where I live. I feel like she should she discounted the massage I already had. I won’t be going back and won’t be referring anyone to them

Had a great couple’s massage instructional session with Karen to celebrate our anniversary! Karen was patient, personable, and helped my girlfriend and I celebrate and learn in such a fun time. Absolutely loved it!

Love this place! First time I went was because my coworkers got me a gift card for my birthday. The lobby is so calming. I enjoyed a massage and got treated to some complimentary tea brewed right at the tea bar. I thought that was the most interesting and unique thing about the place. I got to smell a bunch of their loose leaf tea and purchased a number of them to take with me. The prices were also very reasonable. Ive got back two other times as well.

Do not spend your money here! They are not understanding of people circumstances or situations. I had to cancel my appointment due to inclement weather and not being able to drive while pouring rain. They would not transfer my service without charging me a fee for cancellation. If I could have been there I would have. This is not have good business practice. This was a gift card for my birthday and they took our money that we don’t get back. If you work in a spa you run the risk of not getting paid but they punish the customer rather than the employer.I have been to so many spas and never had an issue like this. I will not return here. I would have happily chosen another day, but that’s not an option without them taking your money and paying for an additional massage.Urbana Spa please do better for your employees and don’t punish the customer. I would give a 0 if I could.

I Workout alot and its a heavy toll on the body. Tried Urbana for a Couples Massage and Ill definitely be going back Bi Weekly for my regular maintenance!Excellent Service, Excellent Atmosphere, Very Upscale but Laid BackI HIGHLY recommend!

I wanted to take my daughter some where for her to relax after classes ended for the summer. I looked into many places and the ambience that I saw online (I do not live in Charlotte) was very nice. So without seeing the place in person I made appointments for her and I. This was her first massage and facial. I have had several of both. She really enjoyed the treatments and would like to go back. I enjoyed my treatments as well and would go back again. The staff was very friendly and professional. I will definitely by gift cards for my daughter to treat herself with classes starting again in August.

My wife brought me here for some bday relaxation. It was awesome. Chocolate covered strawberries and wine, with a few minutes to enjoy them on a nice couch. Relaxing music/ambiance to calm you before your massage. Heated tables and aromatherapy included, it was really wonderful. They even have a tea bar you can relax at in the lounge area if you didn’t have time for a massage. Will definitely be back next time we pass through Charlotte.

I booked half day spa spent over $400 and I truly didnt enjoy my massage at all. It was 90 min massage and feels like all she mainly did was pressure points. Honestly felt she took the lazy way out of massaging me. Maybe because with my service she automatically received a tip. I’m very disappointed. My back actually hurts more I dont feel relaxed or feel like my issues were fixed. Left my foot a sore from pressure point. I love spas and wanted to find somewhere I can start going to being that Im new in Charlotte but Im scared I won’t be giving it another try because I don’t want to experience this again. But my facial and body scrub was good and lunch

I’ve gone to this spa quite a few times. The atmosphere is great and overall, they do an amazing job. I had a massage with Tanisha and it was the best massage I’ve ever had. Her hands are truly blessed! I was not so happy with my facial with Ashley. Also, during my transition to the facial, I was told someone would come to offer me wine or tea, and no one ever did. I will definitely be back for more massages.

Like so many service industries it seems Urbana is still suffering the effects of COVID -- e.g. lack of well-trained staff. I have visited several different spas in various cities when Ive traveled and the ones I rated 10 are ones I try to return to whenever possible.The receptionist was simply lovely. She greeted us warmly, showed us to the sitting area and provided hot tea/water. Unfortunately, the special spa service ended there. I am used to being escorted to a dressing room and provided a fluffy white robe & slippers.The masseuse was gracious and kind, but I have serious doubts she has had any formal training. She casually tossed the lotion bottle onto my body when she wasn’t using it. The massage itself was okay, but the transitions were ridiculous -- rushed and clumsy –- bolsters were shoved in place and yanked out of place abruptly.At the end of the massage, she snapped on the main wall light which was unnecessary and uncomfortably bright after the dimness of the room. I wasn’t offered a robe until after my massage (?!?) and the robe itself was worn and tired. The masseuse pointed to it on her way out of the room and said I could put it on “if you want to” seemingly as an afterthought.My experience with the facial aesthetician was the other end of the scale – I would definitely give her a “10”. She was personable and professional. The facial was a pleasure from start to finish. She described her work along the way, answered questions as they arose, and offered a plan going forward without being pushy.I provided this feedback to Urbana over a week ago and the auto reply indicated someone would get back to me. Didn’t happen – no response. Time to move on.

Everything was excellent! Thank you so much Michelle for accommodating for my daughters birthday and making her feel special. I greatly appreciate it and it will be a memory that will last forever with us as this was a very big milestone for us - entering her official teenage years! All in our party enjoyed their time and the experience was everything! Well definitely be back for additional services in the neat future!

- The masseuse was not welcoming, her energy was off which I could feel throughout my massage.- She was sniffling throughout my massage which interrupted my peace of mind.- I didnt feel refreshed afterwards but more like someone simply rubbed my body although I requested medium pressure.- I indicated my focus areas, they were not focused on which was the main reasoning for my massage.This was a gift and I truly feel like it was wasted because I did not enjoy my experience. I recommended Urbana to my coworker prior to my appointment and she raved about this place so I was excited to experience but after yesterday, I was left disappointed and will not recommend as I do not want anyone else to experience what I did.

I was annoyed with the appointment setting. Me and my friend submitted forms at the same time. They gave my friend an appointment time via voicemail and when she called back like five minutes later they were all booked up, even though ten minutes beforehand they told me their Sunday schedule was widely available. Do not trust it. They are quite lackadaisical and unaware of the staff they have available when that is the bare minimum.

It was my second time at Urbana Health Spa. The first time was great, I had a full time and the workers meet me 5 minutes before the massage and ask me if I need to use the bathroom. The second time I came with my husband to surprise him with a couple session. It was a 1 hour hot stone massage for him and 1h pregnancy massage for me. We arrived earlier, over 10 minutes before the appointment. Sadly the lady get us at 3pm (the time of our massage) and asked me if I want to use the bathroom before the massage. Once arrive to the room, the lady who did my massage couldnt find the pregnancy pillows and once she find it. She explain us the prestation. It end up starting our massage at 3:15pm... We tried to explain the situation to the manager but he stated that going to the bathroom was part of our appointment time. Thats fine and makes sense but it would be nice to know that especially if its being offered! We arrived over 10 minutes early, it would have been nice to be asked then not at the time of the appointment...

I was told to arrive 20 minutes early for my 11:45am appt which I did. The massage therapist did not get me from reception area until 11:43am. I went to restroom and then she directed me to the room and began asking questions which I had taken time to complete intake form prior to my appt. Another waste of time. Why ask someone to complete a form if no one is reading it.Note: Inside of the spa is very relaxing and inviting.

The spa itself was very welcoming it didnt just seem like I was there just to get a massage. The hospitality was great. And the two therapist were awesome. They made sure we were okay through out the whole massage.

The massage and atmosphere, and everything about the experience was amazing. The pricing is a little prohibitive, but everything else was absolutely amazing and Danielle was wonderful.

I am an out of towner and booked a massage here during a planned visit. Unfortunately I had a family member pass away and needed to cancel my visit. I requested a refund of deposit since it was still within the cancellation window and the manager had the nastiest attitude and did not even try to understand my circumstances. The policy states that appointments should be cancelled within 48 hours and she screamed that the staff needed at least a week’s notice. She reluctantly honored a refund in which I never received. Beyond frustrated.

This was a much needed experience.I arrived 15min early. I recommend arriving 20-30 minutes early to give yourself an opportunity to sit still and calm prior to your service.My appointment was at 430. I would say by 435 I was laying prone on the table. My massage was a solid 70mins leaving time to dress and discuss my needs which is the norm in this profession.My therapist, Sofia was great. Professional and highly skilled. She made it her priority to make sure I was comfortable, that the pressure was just right and that I receive relief for my tight muscles.I decided to get a package. FYI the host was super patient explaining the details of the membership to me and she seemed to be juggling check ins/outs and the phone. I never felt rushed.I would recommend.4 stars because for some reason I was expecting complimentary tea either before or after service. Could have just been a staffing issue or new covid-19 protocol.

This spa is first class! Today was my fourth time in 9 years coming here. That pretty much tells you I do not get massages often. However every single time I have been to this spa it has been a treat. The moment I walked through the door I was greeted with a smile and after checking in was immediately offered a selection of tea or bottled water while I waited for my appointment. I arrived early so after about 10 minutes of relaxing and stretching out on the very comfortable waiting room furniture my masseuse came out to meet me. She introduced herself and took me by the restroom and then to my massage therapy room. Sophia took very good care of me and exceeded my expectations for my 75 minute massage. I am giving this spa 4 Star‘s and not 5; not because of anything in their control but because parking can be a bit of a challenge, and the spa is on the second level of an aging two tiered strip mall that could use a renovation! With that said the moment you walk through the doors of the spa it is like entering into a peaceful beautiful world of relaxation. I look forward to returning soon and booking my appointment with Sophia who did an excellent job.

Urbana was a birthday surprise on my actual birthday. I was greeted by kind staff. Phil was my guy with hands that are sent from heaven. I was treated as a beautiful Queen, I also felt like one when I left. I would highly recommend Urbana to all. I’m definitely going to treat myself every month.

Best massage I have ever had. I got the 45 minute Hot stone massage with Morgan and it was fabulous. Perfect pressure and would definitely do it again. I also got the Microderm abrasion for the first time with Tiffany. She was amazing as well. The elderberry ginger tea in the lounge was delicious. Just what I needed. Thank you so much.

The customer service and the atmosphere were fantastic but the massage was terrible. For the price that we paid and the already included gratuity. I was expecting a very thorough massage which is what I asked for. My legs and and my back were barely massaged as I told them that was a place I wanted to focus on after the full body massage. I felt the same when I left the place as I did when I entered it.

Both my massage and my facial were excellent, and so were the people that did them! Awesome customer service, amazing atmosphere. I highly recommend this place to anyone, first timers or regulars!

Ive been to almost every spa in Charlotte and Urbana is absolutely my favorite. As a birthday gift, I treated a girlfriend and myself to a massage. From the moment we walked in, the experience began. We were treated with champagne as we waited on the beautiful chaise lounges. The atmosphere was modern and relaxing. The massage therapist did an awesome job and they encouraged us to have a detox tea following the massage and so we sat at the tea bar for complimentary tea after our service.Both of us couldnt stop talking about how wonderful the staff and spa were. They also do couples massage classes which I cant wait to try next with my hubby. If you are looking for an awesome experience and truly relaxing time I would definitely check out Urbana. You will love it!

Everything was great at the beginning, it’s my birthday and my boyfriend at work wanted to do something nice for me so he called Urbana looking for services as a surprise. Michelle was the person I spoke with. My boyfriend gave her my number to book the appointment. She called got my information and asked would I make it by 5:15, initially I said yes because I under estimated traffic.Literally 2 mins later I called back and said can I schedule for another time because with this traffic I won’t make it she offered 5:30, I advised I would not make it. Mind you the entire phone call she got my name, number, email and card information, but not once did she mention to the person whose information she got that once booked can’t be cancelled. When I called her she mentioned she told my boyfriend about the cancellation policy ( I guess he was the one who should have told me) but she didn’t tell me, the person who she called to get my info….. she then mentioned she would still charge a fee and I explained I would dispute with my bank . She then became bothered and told me she would not argue with me on my birthday and told me I could go whoever else. I told her on the phone that I would be writing a review about this small experience. Michelle needs training on customer service ….it wasn’t the policy that I was mad at it was her professionalism

I have high expectations for spas and Urbana completely surpassed all my expectations. The South Charlotte (Pineville) location is a beautiful spa that helps you feel more tranquil once you enter. There are great weekday specials (although only open a couple weekdays each week). I had the best massage Ive ever had and a fantastic facial service. It was my first facial in a very, very long time and it was a great experience. I also appreciate how the staff doesn’t try to upsell you at the end like some others do.

Pleasant environment, attentive masseuse, clean, variety of teas, cheese, crackers, fruits. Not cheap, but worth every penny.

I got my boyfriend and I are couples massage through Groupon to come here. The lobby is beautiful and peaceful. The rooms are a little small and the showers are private rooms, not communal. We got a stone massage, which Ive never experienced before, and it was incredible. I dont think I can ever get a massage for less than 75 minutes ever again, that being said I hope to be back soon :)

The service was outstanding!! I don’t typically do things like this, but I really enjoyed my massage! The atmosphere was very tranquil, everybody working there was so nice, and the massage itself was extremely relaxing and satisfying.

Came in today for a facial. Laken was absolutely amazing. She was so sweet and nice and listened to my concerns. She gave me tips and was extremely helpful. I was introduced to Urbana by some friends 5 years ago and I have been going there regularly since. It is a wonderful place, I really appreciate the amenities there. It is great to find such a spa conveniently located in Charlotte, where there is no need to travel hours across town. Being able to eat your lunch in your bathrobe with their packages is just another perk. Just have to find the right massage therapist and stick to him/her. They are all so good. The customer service is another extra added value to your experience. They are always so welcoming.

Mermo was very professional and allowed me to enjoy my Body Wrap with little to no conversation. There is an option on the intake form in reference to the technician and conversation.Definitely a plus for me.The receptionist was very knowledgeable about the entire spa- products, services and overall experience. They offer tea while waiting-I arrived early so I could decompress prior to my service.The rooms and shower were very clean.Please make sure you ask about the packages.Overall experience was excellent.

After much research, my boyfriend and I finally decided to give Urbana a try for our anniversary and it was such a solid decision! Not many spas in our area offer couples packages that fit our needs, and so it was worth coming out of our way to visit. The front room was very inviting and the front staff catered to our every need. We started out with an apple cinnamon tea and relaxed until our appointment. Inna and Kristy were AMAZING, very professional and kind. They worked out kinks we didnt even know we had! The overall environment was top notch and the massage therapists truly treated us as if we were the only ones they were helping all day. Even though it was an hour and a half drive, we absolutely plan on returning for all of our special occasions!

Cons: Don’t plan on being anywhere else for the day; the process may take longer than you’re told. I did a 30 min facial plus the body scrub + massage combo. I arrived 5 min early and was brought in for my facial exactly on time, but once the facial was over I waited 30 minutes before having the scrub/massage done. There may have been a good reason for the wait but to be honest, no one instructed me as I finished my facial and no one gave me a heads up on the wait time. It would’ve been nice to be warned or at least told why there was a long wait in between. Also the tea was good, but not great. At least it was free :)Pros: the facial was great! I enjoyed the scents, the humidifier tool over my face and the face massage. Hailey was great to work with! I also really enjoyed the mud mask and body massage! The mask/body wrap was so nice and relaxing. It made my skin feel great! The massage was pretty good too!Tips: tell them to be gentle with the body scrub before they start - the girl was great and this is not her fault but the scrub hurt my skin. I asked her to ease up and she did which was good. But it caught me off guard that the scrub was more in the dry side and really being rubbed into my skin at first. I also suggest tying your hair back or else scrub and oils will get in it. If you’re not comfortable showering outside of your home, don’t do the scrub - I didn’t mind but I know some people don’t like it, so this is you fair warning.I’d go back for a facial

Hands down one of the best spas that Ive been to in Charlotte! Lauren was my massage therapist and she was amazing. The hot towel on the calves was a new benefit for me. I walk in heels all day so that definitely helped! Well worth the pricing and great setup. I would have preferred a more private area for our girls day so as not to disturb others but other than that the experience was amazing!

Husband and I went for a couple massage. This was our first time at this spa and our first couple massage. I was not pleased with my massage, masseur stayed on the top part of my back, never touched my full back, and no neck massage (feet and shoulders only). A lot of time was wasted moving around getting lotion. I did not like that a gratuity was already added). I was not pleased.

The 5 stars go to Michael! He is amazing! Alway does a phenomenal job !!! He listens, validates and make sure you’re properly taken care of. Above all things he’s Consistent. The tea before the body work is always a plus!

I live in Huntersville but booked the Royalty spa package with add on back facial for my birthday today in the South Charlotte location because they had the Esthetician to provide the services. Everything started out great until after my massage.I was sitting waiting for lunch for about 15 mins & decided to ask the receptionist if someone would come & get me for lunch. She proceeds to tell me that I would not be having lunch until after my next 2 facials and that she would be doing my facials bc the Esthetician had to leave for a family emergency.I’m totally confused at this point bc I know my email confirmation had a 30 min break in between massage & facial appts for lunch & now you tell me I have to wait until 3pm for lunch???She basically dismisses my concerns and proceeds with the back facial totally messing up my zen zone putting cold water & cold products on my back! I dam near jumped off the table! Then asked me if I want extractions? I want whatever comes with a back facial ma’am. At this point, I’m annoyed & hangry.She tells me to turn over to start my face and I tell her that she’s not doing another service until I get lunch.She leaves, then comes back and bring me in another room where they bring me cold lunch that taste like it should have been picked up hours ago! I couldn’t eat that.I’m trying not to ruin my entire birthday, so I ask to speak to the Manager so that I can re-schedule my facial bc I was not comfortable with the receptionist doing it. I’d rather wait until a professional Esthetician is available. He obliged and re-scheduled.I’m disappointed in the experience because these services plus gratuities were not cheap considering the mediocre services provided. I regret having my family buy me gift cards to Urbana because I really don’t want to go back!

Absolutely loved this spa in Huntersville location they have two. I boomed the party room for me and my twin daughters 18th Birthday!! The ambiance was amazing. The wine was my favorite and the one on one attention you get. Me an girls felt like princess for the day. The Esthetician Shannon was excellent she made our day with great conversation. I would recommend this spa to anyone and everyone!!!!! Urbana is elegant and relaxing. We cannot wait to go back. We got full body massages and mini facials with extractions loved it!!

My experience with Katie was phenomenal!!! We engaged in discourse about my needs and focus areas. I experienced her adapt to the needs of my body by using varying degrees of pressure and stretching. She is open to answering questions about the muscles that are more tense than others and working with her felt like a partnership. I have a cluster of knots in my left shoulder that have been manifesting for two years and today I felt the muscles finally release!!! Very personable, clean, friendly and welcoming. The staff read over the survey and actually provided what was listed. I would suggest the 1.5 to 2 hour session as one hour wasnt enough time to really enjoy the enormity of the experience. I am convinced I have to find a massage place around here, the only question is will they be able to meet the standard of cleanliness, appearance. and staff? on a scale of 1 to 10, 11 no doubt

When scheduling a package was requested but was not provided. Massage was just ok, therapist could feel knots but after 1-2 passes she would go over them and then move on instead of working them out as previous massage therapists have done for us in the past. Facility was beautiful and very relaxing.

Massage was great all day long! Chillaxed atmosphere. However, what annoyed all of us (party of 4), was the questionnaire we were given prior. Liability dictates understandably - but marketing needs to strategize a more client friendly interface. The residual aftertaste was being criticized and joked about on and off afterwards. It felt like a medical, new patient questionnaire combined w/marketing target practice, instead of a relaxing spa being conscientious and caring.

Our experience was so great we could never forget. My gf and I booked a couples massage and definitely received much more than expected!!! We got so much more than just the amazing massages by our masseuses. Once the massages were finished, we had champagne, snacks, and some shaded comfy areas to lay and enjoy each others company.

The receptionist Maria was very professional and helpful in booking the appointment. Lauren, the masseuse, did an excellent job on a deep tissue massage. She was able to work out very tough knots that most others barely impact. Would highly recommend this location and Lauren, especially if you’re needing a top notch deep tissue massage.

Terela was lousy. She barely greeted me. Ending of my massage was abrupt and she disappeared and didn’t walk me out. Told her I wanted a medium firm massage, however, the pressure was light. She didn’t properly do my feet and hands. Also the oil used was very greasy! The facility was pretty and clean (but dark). She did do a great cranial massage hence the two stars. An expensive massage that was not worth it and I won’t be back.

I truly loved my first experience here the staff is very friendly and offer you drinks such as water, wine or tea.For the first timers I definitely recommend Katie she is angel sent she will talk you through the process and will work on areas where you are most tense at. She will also ask where you want her to focus at as well she is down to give you any advice about how to avoid getting a certain way in the certain part of your body and will answer any questions you may have.

Was in town for my girlfriends birthday. Asked a cousin for a great place to get a massage. She suggested thisplace for a great experience. Soothing ambiance from beginning to end. The scenery in the lobby area was very calming. Everyone on the staff was very professional. The complimentary tea, wine, and water choices were icing on the cake.

My mother has experienced a variety of health complications and they were accommodating in a variety of ways to ensure that she had a wonderful and relaxing time. They didnt treat her like a sick patient. They treated her like a Queen. Im truly grateful.

Brandon was the first therapist that has actually been able to work out all my sore muscles. Therapeutic but equally relaxing and “spa like”. I can’t recommend him enough. The atmosphere is serene and beautiful. Perfect customer service from start to finish.

Booked a couples massage for my husband and I. Woke up the day of not feeling well (Covid) so I called them letting them know we needed to cancel & they informed me they would still be charging me full price for the service because we did not give 48 hour notice as if we knew we were going to get Covid. Do not recommend to anyone because clearly they want you to come when you’re sick when we are in a pandemic 🙃

Tried to be a new customer, However they DONT provide Same day services. And you must schedule your pain relief in the future and not when you actually need relief.And they leave snide comments making excuses and playing the victim for not caring about Charlotte locals and providing the ability to enjoy a massage the same day you would need one. Very sad way to operate and view its customers.Wonder how many tens of thousands I represent here in Charlotte.

Overall great experience at Urbana. They really ensure you relax from the moment you walk in the door. From the heated neck wrap they offer, hot tea selection included before your massage, and the overall ambience of their lounge/waiting area. I would definitely come back but I do wish they had locations closer to uptown.

My husband and I chose Urbana Tea Lounge to start out our anniversary weekend. We wanted a nice cup of tea, in a calm and rest environment (instead of the hustle and bustle of a coffee shop). There was a ‘shower’ going on, and the group of 10+ women were all but yelling and joking about how they shouldn’t be so loud. The staff was nice, but did nothing to keep the shenanigans under control. One staff person left to get stuff from the store to package up food for the shower, leaving the receptionist slammed. It took about 10 minutes to check out, only for the receptionist to not know what to charge us.

A bit out of the way for City dwellers, but worth the trip. The waiting room is well appointed and the employees are gracious and accommodating. My technician was knowledgeable and I pleased with the appearance of my skin the day after the Glow Facial. My only complaint is this ... when eye makeup is completely removed it would have nice if she had added enough to allow me to not be embarrassed to be seen in public.

I want to live here! My daughter gave me a gift certificate for Mother’s Day and I am putting this on the list for every year! I had the 90 minute Head-to-toe and Alex is amazing. The tea is wonderful and the atmosphere is so chill it gives you the desire to be nice to mean people. Definitely give them a try. You won’t regret it.

Aesthetician experience was the worst Ive ever experienced. Its my opinion she left the glycolic peel on too long (10 min) and didnt properly monitor the process resulting in extreme burning that will require significant downtime. She/Urbana had no products to cool the skin or promote healing afterwards. Hopefully this is a one-off experience and it’s possible my skin chemistry wasn’t suited for this or their products. Their inability to monitor the process and later address the burn left me extremely dissatisfied.

I have been getting back into exercise and weight training and wound up with a lot of sore muscles mainly my back. I had been looking for a place to get an ashiatsu massage well before I started and after months of searching I found this place.The only thing about the place I did not like was you have to give your credit card over the phone before you can set up an appointment. I ended up creating a virtual credit card number through my bank to use because Ive had my number stolen before.The girl who did the massage was only about a hundred pounds but she used every bit of it to work every muscle that was sore. By the time she was done all the trouble areas I had were gone. Heck a week later I could still feel the after effects of the massage.I would definitely recommend to friends and Im already planning my next visit.

Very luxurious spa. I fell asleep during my massage which I was told is a compliment to the masseuse. It was also reasonably priced. The only issue I had was that they didnt offer robes or slippers. Not a deal breaker, but would help with the aesthetic and aura of the facility.

I had a horrible experience at Urbana in Charlotte and will never go back. After an excellent facial with Tammy (very thorough and professional), I presented my Urbana gift certificate. I was told it had expired even though there was no expiration date anywhere on it. I gave the gift certificate #/code when I booked the appointment and an expiration date was never mentioned to me. When I went to check out, I was told that in their notes (which I never saw), it said that I had been told my gift certificate had expired. That was an absolute lie. Then I was told that I needed to wait for a manager who was out at lunch to discuss the matter. The worst customer service I have ever experienced anywhere. My gift certificate had been purchased 13 months prior by my daughter and no where on it was there an expiration date. The 2 girls at the front desk were rude and ruined the entire experience. Beware of the way this place is run.... horrible customer service.

I went to Urbana Wellness Spa with my wife on a couples massage. I have tried massages from Canada, Thailand, Indonesia to China but Urbana is absolutely the best. Rebekah was great, the right amount of pressure that created an experience to remember. The spa has a unique tea lounge where we spent 2 hours trying different teas. All in all, a great experience. We will be back when we visit again from Canada.

I canceled my service a full month in advance (per their website they require 48 to 72 hours) and the company refused to give me my deposit back. I disputed it with my bank and Urbana disputed the refund transaction. They knew I was coming in from out of town and is clearly taking advantage thinking they can charge my card with no way to dispute. When I called I was laughed at and kept getting blown off. Luckily I will be in the area permanently now, so If my card is charged on the day I was due for services, I will be walking into this establishment.

Katie was fantastic! We did the couples training massage and it was fantastic! She was great about showing and teaching different techniques while making sure we were both comfortable.

All staff were very pleasant and professional..my masseuse (Kay) was awesome!!! She literally massaged every knot and muscle to perfection🤗🤗I was utterly pleased with the services from the beginning being greeted by the front desk staff to the masseuse.

I have visited Urbana for over 4 years. I would never consider going anywhere else and there are many choices of spas in Charlotte. I like the facility, the staff who are professional and always provide more than I expect for services, and it is just a pleasure to visit. I have used massage and facials and now I am considering other treatments. The prices are reasonable for the most part and in line with other spa prices. I am heading back this month for two visits this month!

I have massage for many years and have never received a special treatment where your satisfaction is important to them. Urbana serves special blend tea to clients while waiting, and that alone is quite different from any other massage place I have been.

Went there on a Groupon. Wasnt that impressed. Heard such great things, I was looking for a place I could start going on the regular. It will not be there...The ambience is good when you first walk in.The receptionist looked miserable. It is supposed to be a tea bar, which Im sure their business plan would suggest thats where they make a large portion of their profits. However it was not mentioned. I wouldve loved to have atea experience while waiting for my massage therapist. Instead I was offered a beverage like it was mandatory. No one appeared truly passionate about what they were doing. Maybe its because I was a Groupon, but I use Groupon to try different places to find my forever home in the services needed. I hate feeling like because I used a Groupon I shouldnt be taken seriously....

Massage was incredibly sub-par. Therapist never once asked if the pressure was okay, asked what spot I needed extra work on but then never touched it. Pressure was way too light although when I booked I asked for heavy pressure. So I was disappointed. Paid too much for a bad massage. Huaband liked his.

Linda gave me my first microcurrent facial and was amazing to me! I havent had many facials in the past due to skin sensitivity. Linda filled me in on so many tips and tricks and I had great results with her treatment. With the microcurrent facial, she included what felt like a mini regular facial and a massage - definitely worth the money.

I visited this spa for the first time since the pandemic and I was thoroughly disappointed. I scheduled a full body massage - unfortunately, I got a foot, calf and partial neck massage. I couldn’t believe it. Further, I went there for a facial just prior to COVID and the service was subpar. I have been going to this spa since 2008 and the service has definitely declined.

I bought my friends a couples massage as a wedding present. They were really good and definitely made my friend, who is an amputee, very comfortable and relaxed. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a massage.

Nice atmosphere. Staff was sort of stuck up....I loved my massage woman! Wonderfully sweet. Not sure I was into the dark and indian atmosphere. A little over the top. Nice but I guess something more natural would be more relaxing other than lightedrocks, tea cups, books, metal curtains and etc....I know its called urbana but its more like: urban stuckups. I was more worried my massage was going to be the same experience as the front service. Glad it wasnt! She was the sweetest.

Eliza was amazing. She put my needs first. She was ultimately interested in relieving my pain, not upselling me. She spent time in the areas that were giving me the worst pain and worked out kinks that i didnt even know i had.

My wife and I had a couples massage with Morgan and Oleg. It was wonderful. My wife is 9 months pregnant and Morgan was accommodating and communicated with my wife about all her needs. I am normally very ticklish but Oleg was great. I was able to get a full body massage without once feeling ticklish. I would highly recommend both Morgan and Oleg!

Best overall experience Ive had in Charlotte. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing. The staff was very friendly and casual, but in a professional way. The facial itself was amazing! I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

New Zealand cafe is hands down the best sushi in Charlotte. Jackie the owner and Kathy who is the manager have been taking care of us for12 years. It’s a must and when Covid is finally over they will reopen the indoor dining.

I used to go here alot when I lived in Charlotte, but moved away in 2015. Headed down for a trip this weekend and tried to book online and they booked it wrong, then called and booked appt and they booked for 10:30 over the phone. Well there must have been some misunderstanding because I get a phone call that there is a scheduling conflict. ALL THIS up to this point was understandable. Mistakes happen, HOWEVER when I returned the call the woman was beyond rude and had the worst phone etiquette. She answered with just a hello? I was like umm.... is this urbana? and while she was explaining and confirming the appointment she just was giving me attitude the whole time like I was bothering her.... Back in the day this place would have gotten 5 stars from me, but from this rude customer service, Im not even looking forward to my appt coming up. #sad
