Sidetrack is like a second home. I absolutely love the staff! They have great events/themes throughout the week. It’s large enough where there is a space for everyone. Their deck bar is amazing during the summer! My husband and I were lucky enough to even host our wedding on the deck bar. Sidetrack will always hold a special place in our heart.
Such a fun free spirited club the drag show was really fun. They had Beyoncé night. Everybody was having a great time. They have really good drinks and strong only nine dollar shots ir mixed drinks of bourbon. $10 fuzzy . I will definitely come back we had a great time . everyone was friendly & smiling. lots if good looking people Free entry the service was immaculate. The ambience is very pretty. Don’t forget to bring your ones and some cash.
Sidetracks in Chicago is an incredible gay bar that exceeded all my expectations! The atmosphere is electric, with a lively and welcoming vibe that makes everyone feel at home. The themed nights are always a blast, and the drag shows are top-notch, featuring some of the best performers in the city. The drinks are reasonably priced and expertly mixed, and the bartenders are friendly and attentive. Whether youre there to dance the night away or just enjoy a fun evening with friends, Sidetracks is the place to be. Highly recommend for an unforgettable night out in Chicago!
As a gay man of color (black) I am currently at this establishment now (7/23/24). As my party and I arrived (all people of color), we were met at the door and all of our “purses” were “checked”. As I observed the patrons entering after me… with “purses” not being checked (people of non color) I then questioned why my party (friends) and I were checked. Needless to say, I will not support this establishment again! -side note…. The frozen drinks were great and the bartender was great. And yes.. my friends and I tipped generously!
Good music, crazy vibes- I can’t say enough about the staff. Amanda is like an octopus, serving a million drinks at once while still managing to make you feel special and cared for. She is absolutely the reason I come here.
Cool spot, great music, fun crowd - but the bartenders were rude as hell. I know the service industry can be rough and we all have off days, but this was beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. Literal anxiety every time we had to order a drink.
I usually visit this place almost every weekend, but during Pride Fest weekend, I encountered a challenging situation with a bartender named Mandy. She exhibited behavior that was unexpectedly rude to me and my friends. While I understand that everyone has bad days, her conduct was unacceptable, especially given her role in the public sphere. It might be beneficial for her to consider a different career path if this is how she intends to interact with customers.
Horrible experience here. Ive been here a few times and frequent many of the neighboring Boystown bars and I have never ever experienced disrespect and scamming like this. The female bartender on the rooftop, along with Dave, the supposed manager, were extremely rude and unprofessional. They scammed my friends and I into buying overpriced shots and charged an additional shot to our cards. They then proceeded to gaslight us into thinking we ordered and took a 6th shot that never existed. Ive apparently heard that this is the norm at this establishment. Never again. Go to Roscoes/Scarlet/Splash instead and get the same shots and drinks for $5 without the disrespect.
I recently hosted a Pride Event on the rooftop at Sidetrack for LGBTQ+ physicians and providers and it was a huge success thanks in large part to Brad and the team at Sidetrack! They were not only incredibly responsive, timely, and helpful, but they welcomed working with a nonprofit which isnt always the case. The team at Sidetrack were eager to be available on the day of the event to help us set up and remained available throughout the event to make sure we were happy. At the end of the night when we needed to clean up, they were kind enough to step in and help. I would recommend Sidetrack for any event large or small!
Went on both Friday and Saturday nights with a group of friends. Great atmosphere, music, lots of different areas to explore. The bar staff are friendly and the bar proudly displays its support for the LGBTQ+ community. Defo a place to visit if you’re in Chicago and want to go clubbing in a lively, open, friend and accepting environment.
I used to work here in the begining stages of the bar, soon after the original owners passing and helped his father Stan from the sidelines and am quite pleased that theyve kept the vision going over the last 40 or so years! Great job people, be to visit soon!
By far the best club experience of our lives! The bar has some fantastic staff and drinks that could end your night fast and for cheap. There are so many spaces to explore that you are always moving. We loved all the videos to sing and dance to. Not much of a dance floor but the main bar does turn into the place to dance.
I really liked Sidetrack. I was happy with the fact that there was no cover (at least for 21+). I genuinely think they are one of the best gay bars in the United States (they are better than anywhere Ive seen in Dallas and New York, at least)!
Yall seriously, egregiously need new music. I came by multiple days in a row to celebrate pride with my friend, yall really played the same 3 songs over and over again. Also yall door man tried kinda accused us of planning to vape inside? None us of do? Other than that cool layout and nice folks. But yall music sucks real bad boo.Edit - If maybe it was 5 songs instead of 3 but point stands - yall had the same very few songs playing. Also I did give the service 4 stars so I do thank your hard working staff. But overall 3 days in a row of patronage shouldnt be met with the same songs. Thats my fair opinion. I simply recommend better DJs or just telling them to expand their playlist. I heard S&M by Rihanna 30 times those 3 days. Come on now lol.
My very first time experiencing gay culture and I have to say I was very relaxed the moment I walked into the doors. It was super loud but that’s expected lol. After a few drinks I busted a few moves on the dance floor. Also I liked how many different areas they guys had in the club, very diverse. 10/10 would recommend. Servers and staff are great. Tip them appropriately. Slay
I saw their kpop event online, asking what is it like. the guy answering the phone sounds very rude and impatient. I ask if its for everyone, he didnt even answer me and hungup the phone. very rude.
I used to love this place. It was my favorite bar in the area for years. We moved away from the area and for the first time in like 5 years I went their with a friend who had a big purse not a back pack or anything and security would not let her keep the purse and insisted she had to check it. She had an asthma inhaler, hair brush, reading glasses, make up and other things she wanted to keep with her so that would not work as my friend had no pockets in her outfit. So saying you can keep your wallet did not make sense . She opened her bag to let them search it but the arrogant door security people said no you have to check it with no reason given why. If you do not like our rules you do not have to come here is what we were told. That was the only place out of like 8 bars we went to that night that make women check their purses. I can understand maybe wanting to search the purse that would have made sense but not letting you keep it at the bar? We went to this bar with a similar size purse for over 15 years and never had a issue before. We ended up not going in. Is this bar just trying to make it difficult for ladies to come to the bar or what? This great bar is not a great place any more sadly.
Love this bar so much- great music, many different atmospheres to pick from, love that there is a rooftop for some fresh air since it can get really packed, and drinks are yummy and reasonably priced. However the pickpocketing issue is insane. The literal second I took my eyes off my purse, my wallet was stolen out of it. I have never gotten pickpocketed in my whole life and I’ve been to many music festivals, clubs, cities, etc. This isn’t necessarily the fault of the bar- in fact the staff were very friendly and helpful with trying to locate it but it was no where to be found. It’s honestly just become a huge problem in the boystown bars in general, which sucks because it’s such a fun place especially for queer folk. Just spreading this info to whoever is considering coming here- DO COME!! Just do not take ur eyes off ur belongings even for a second
Super fun and lively. so many spaces to explore. frozen marg is SO good (it’s on the sweeter side though so if you’re not into sugary then maybe try something else.)
Sidetrack is a contagious alternative discothèque experience. Extremely diversified and nonintrusive. Cheap booze and good music. Polite doorman, bartender with access to several rooms. Sunday had a highly mixed ratio of men and women of all genders, beliefs and cultures. I strongly recommend this location for a night of dancing. On the whole, the crowd was friendly, funny and fabulous. A perfect spot to break the ice.
Visiting Chicago, and everyone I spoke to said I had to check this place out. So I did. And they were all right; this place was a fun night. Good mix of people, good mix of music, relatively fast service and reasonable prices. The one caution I would give to people is to avoid their pre-made and frozen drinks. They are so saccharine, the ones I got I had to struggle to finish. Dont get me wrong, the first couple sips are amazing, but the whole drink is just too sweet in general. With that said, other basic drinks I got from here were just as good as anyplace! And despite the unwelcome sugar-rush, still a good time!
After two years, I am your customer and I have seen the worst treatment from you and I am sorry for thisYou post videos and stories on Instagram and Facebook every day, but your security came to warn me why you are filming around here, I am sorry that after all this, I am your customer and I spend money, I buy there and this kind of thing. I saw that he warned me why he was filming the environment
Loved this place big time! They even welcomed this goth boy with the strongest drinks they got because of my high tolerance with Everclear. Staff where on point and the other guests where very nice. Even with my black and white makeup on, guys flirting with me which is a good sign! Not much drama from this place it seems. Will sure be coming back!
Very fun atmosphere and great crowd. My only complaint is ID check. You don’t need to check ID two times. Once is suffice. Streamline the process.
I hosted a birthday gathering at Sidetrack, and the staff was very accommodating to me and my guests. We were given the Wooden Bar for the evening during Musical Monday, my favorite themed night at their bar. It was a perfect evening! I look forward to celebrating more events at Sidetrack in the future.
I loved this place. We probably arrived a bit early so it was more « quiet », but we really enjoyed the different sections available. The drinks were great, the service of the bartenders was on point. The rooftop is really nice. I came from out of town so couldn’t visit it more than on a Sunday but it is definitely worth it!
Such a cool place to visit. A must for visiting Chicago! We loved it here and had a great time. So many different rooms with different bars and vibes in each room. There were a lot of safety measures in place and it felt comfortable there.
Good upstairs outside section for during COVID. The staff was friendly. I wish there was more seating in the shade. But I like that they use all disposable glasses now. No one wants to share glasses anymore. The Jennifer Lopez megamix was appreciated. Bathrooms were clean. Drinks were decently strong.
My favorite gay club in Chicago! Lots of space, lots of people, and decent drinks!
Had a great time watching drag race here! It’s legit huge. The rooftop patio is really nice!
I remember the 1st time I went in, it was a Sunday afternoon after a Cubs game. There was only the main bar and along the opposite wall, people were sitting on boxes of beer bottles! It was packed! I walked in to everyone singing Thats Amore with Dean Martin and I knew I found a home! Obviously its changed a lot! But you can still see everyone singing together! Quite a site. When I come in to the city, Sidetracks is probably where Im going!
My friends and i were having a really great time for nye until we got kicked out for allegedly smoking weed in the club?? it felt extremely racially profiled and misogynistic since we were all mexican women and they didn’t even try to talk to us they straight up just accused us and then kicked us out. at first we thought they were just trying to get us off the stage (which is understandable) but then they started being super mean and aggressive towards us. we were so confused since we were drunk and it was loud and these men were yelling at us. once we figured out what was going on we told the guy to pat us down and check our bags cause we didn’t have anything on us but he refused??not only that but they made us wait OUTSIDE IN THE FREAKING FREEZING COLD IN OUR MINI DRESSES since our jackets were in coat check. like i understand that there are always people trying to break the rules but kicking out innocent people who had nothing to do with it will only create a bad reputation for you ESPECIALLY when we paid $45 ahead of time for this event only to be kicked out after an hour.i was genuinely so excited to go here cause people hyped it up so much and i had friends visiting from out of state with me but this experience left such a bad taste in my mouth. the guy who kicked us out was extremely condescending the entire time we were just trying to get answers. just wish they had communicated with us better at the very least.
I have visited Sidetrack for years without any issues. I attended Gaga night this past Wednesday. The female barback with the long orange curly hair was extremely rude. She had an issue because we left our belongings on one of the tables ( literally for no more than three minutes) to grab a drink from the other room. I completely understand that theft is a common issue no matter where you go. Thats exactly why we took everything important with us. I left my bag which only had hand sanitizer and a few makeup products in it. She pretty much threatened to take our belongings from us. There were people who literally left their items for over 15 mins in the same room with no issues. I dont know what her problem was but she needs to learn proper customer service. Her attitude completely ruined my entire experience.
I wrote a bad review last month because the bartender never looked at me to get me a drink. However, the owner wrote such a nice response that I deleted it. I understand that it was fairly busy & I overreacted. Just goes to show you how a positive response from the owner goes a long way towards making a difference in a customer’s opinion! Plus the people at the door are so nice, especially the lady who is the officer!
Sidetrack has been my favorite bar since moving to Chicago. Me and my friend group frequent here often due to the amazing staff, drinks and overall atmosphere. Definitely recommend if you are partying in boystown
Sidetrack is one my favorites! I’ve been here multiple times and it’s been great each time. Drinks are good, reasonably priced and the bartenders have always been nice. I enjoy coming here when I visit Chicago. Also no cover fee is nice
This place is marvelous! Besides the fantastic everyday themes and service, they go above and beyond for special events. I helped plan my friendss 50th birthday there and they truly made it special and made magic happen. The staff was friendly, timely, responsive, helpful and of course fun! All the things! Whether you stop in for a drink or an event you are bound to have a good time and get lovely service!
Ok I like sidetrack most of time until they charged me 16 dollar for a regular rum with coke on market day. Like girl I’m not even drunk and why do you do that? I asked them and they just gave me another rum shot? Like I don’t need those drinks I just don’t like how you trick customersUpdates: I appreciate their super quick response and their effort to make things good on my side and their future actions. I believe this is just a random busy week error and we still support and love sidetrack!
Doesnt know the law, told me that bars didnt allow under 21 and so no one under 21 is not allowed which is incorrect. Persons under 21 may only enter a licensed tavern accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Also there is no law in the State of Illinois that restricts the age in which one can legally enter a bar. There are only laws to prohibit people from serving alcohol... However as a bar they have the right two refuse and did so even knowing a parent would be with us.
The drinks are good and the staff is nice. Lots of room and it does not take long to get served at one of their many bars! Highly recommend.
I have always had an amazing experience here. Everything from the music to the people and atmosphere are great. It’s a place where people of all walks of life can come together, be who they are, and feel accepted while everyone has a good time. The bar is always staffed well and everyone is super kind. Huge shout out to the owner because you’ve created a wonderful environment that brings people back and we can all be our true authentic selfs. Drinks are priced well, music is always fire, and the staff is always kind. Will definitely be back
My friend wanted to go out to boystown for his 21st, and we were excited to try out sidetrack, but the vibes were OFF!! I’m confused why we were treated weird, but an employee kept coming up to me with a confrontational tone accusing me of having pepper spray when they had already checked my bag and I didn’t have any. They came up multiple times accusing me or my group… it was uncomfortable. I found out someone in our group did actually have pepper spray in her purse but she’s a woman who carries it around the city for safety, and they also checked her bag and let her in? I didn’t know that was bad. Didn’t feel welcome here which sucks because it seemed like such a fun spot :(
Ive been a long time fan of Sidetrack and try to attend as many of their events as possible. One of those events includes the Ru-Paul watch parties. Sidetrack started advertising a Ru-Paul fantasy league with prizes for those that place in the top positions each week. I signed up for the league with friends. Each week, we made sure to select our picks and then watch the show at the bar. I was highly disappointed last week when the bar didnt even acknowledge the fantasy league or the winners. I asked the drag queen hosts and they said So what? We dont do that anymore. I know theyre just the hosts and not in control of the contests but my friends and I were highly disappointed that the bar would start a contest and then completely sweep it under the rug. It was a very unique concept when all bars are competing for the same crowd of watchers and I just wish they had acknowledged that it was only to get people in the door for the first several weeks instead of having people designate time to a league that was just a gimmick. Ill still Sidetrack because love the bar and the awesome staff but not waste my time with this event.UPDATE: Sidetrack acknowledged the oversight and said they will continue the fantasy league until seasons end.
It’s criminal the average isn’t over 4.5. This is one of the best gay bars in the world. Huge, fast service (never understaffed), cheap drinks, and there’s no cover. Good every night, even weekdays.
Love this place. However, last nights experience was exceptional. I somehow injured my hand as soon as I got into the bar and Michael, a staff member noticed and had bandages and a wrap ready to help. Was able to carry on with my night like nothing happened!
Usually always a good time here. Good-priced drinks and pretty good vibes.... Only complaint I have is with 1 of the extremely rude workers there that was rather verbally aggressive towards me about my dog on dog day (and for not a valid reason).... But, I wont hold it against the bar. Definitely 1 of the best bars in Boystown.
It was my first time there and my experience was very cool! Its so spacious and the drinks are reasonably priced! Good time to spend with friends and also to meet new friends. Well done!
I do not recommend. Caesar was horrible. Kepted walking around, ignoring certain people while playing on his phone. When he did finally collect an order, he wouldnt listen to what was being ordered and made the wrong drink and then used flimsy excuses why the drink was wrong. There are better gay bars in this city, find them.
We visited on a Friday night and it was crowded but we didn’t have to wait long for our drinks. The bartenders were great and I loved the vibe!
Sidetrack has kind souls all around. I had lost my ID on a Saturday night. Long story short, someone at Sidetrack turned it in and they had it for me when I called frantic on Monday. It truly shows how wonderful the clientele is as well as the staff. Thank you Sidetrack!
I love the drinks here. The margaritas never disappoint! Great selection of music and I like how big and spacious it is. Good place to come with friends.
This place is third rate at best. The check-in process is a nightmare which often involves a full body pat down as if you are going into a prison. The bar/club layout is as awkward as possible, more like the mansion in Clue than a night club. Owners/managers also engage in entirely fake political posturing. When I and others reached out to Sidetracks via Instagram and in person for assistance with Mpox vaccination-related public health projects, the bar entirely ignored us and/or looked at us like we had three heads. Meanwhile Sidetracks made a very performative show of going all in for failed thespian Dylan Mulvaney with histrionic, bizarre statements like Anheuser-Busch was trying to erase LGBTQ+ existence and thus Bud Light could no longer be served. Three thumbs down on this dump.
Love it here. Favorite spot for drinks with friends at the moment. Those frozen drinks are delicious.Musical Mondays has been a blast both times Ive gone. The monthly story telling event here is amazing. I wish I was able to attend every month. Heartfelt stories and some laugh out loud ones. Always a great set of storytellers. I love it .
Me and my girlfriend of 6 years came here the other night traveling from STL, and we’ve never been more disrespected at a bar EVER. Esp. one that should’ve been a safe space for us being a gay couple. Were being shoved and threatened for dancing minding our own business. Then got kicked out for shoving someone off me who had been threatening me all night. Bouncer didnt want to hear us out and we left crying. Also we asked if it was only a safe place for gay men, not women, and they said yes. 0/10 worst experience Ive ever had. Bartender wouldnt even serve us. I also had video evidence of me asking the people assaulting us to just dance with us of leave us alone and one of them threatened to “fuck me up” . Really disappointed because it was a beautiful place, but very mean and cruel staff. our hearts hurt that the lgbt community has turned into this.
I always have a good time with friends and making new friends here! Amazing atmosphere and best place to hang in boystown. Music is always the same but I can’t complain much, I’m there mostly for friends. Adam is amazing!!!!
⚠️WARNING ⚠️❌THEFT ALLOWED HERE❌This place is normally a fun time but recently multiple people have had things stolen from them and Sidetrack has done NOTHING about this. Multiple people in one night have had things taken from them. Nothing is done about this and the establishment does not care that your phone and other belongings will be taken from you.If you are going here make sure to have all of your valuables CLOSE AND SECURE!❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌❌
Crabby ID check.Super friendly bartenders.Awesome crowd and cool patrons.I was there last night with a few friends, when we were in line to get in, after I give my ID to the person requesting it at the door, he quickly reached out his hand to request the ID of the person behind me, that person has to walk up and I go forward a step to give them space, and the guy checking ID’s gives me a crabby face saying “get back behind the line” (of tape on the floor) - Which you can’t without would literally pushing the person behind you and take their spot. He then holds on to my ID for a minute longer and then gives it to me and let’s me in.- advice to that dude: if you don’t want anyone to step passed the line then don’t call them up, and if you wanted them to step back behind the line then don’t call the ones behind them to stand at the line.It seems like this whole thing is a little mind game they play at the door to show you who is the authority and can order you around for doing what they guided you to do. LolOther than that, the place is great for clubbing.
We came from out of state and this was the first bar we stopped at cause it seemed lively. Bouncer was extremely rude and had an angry demeanor before even entering the bar the person who was checking ID’s gave us dirty looks even though we are both well over 21 and scanned our ID’s numerous times. Once we finally got in the place waited 15 mins and didn’t get served a drink (bar was not even that busy) and so we left. We stayed in Chicago for 4 days and went to many bars afterwards and never had a problem. Please talk to your employees about being kind to people! With all the other great bars in the area I will not be going to sidetracks on my next trip and I would not recommend to others visiting the area for the first time.
Waitstaff rude VERYFood was nasty cold I just shouldve walk out
I love this bar. Musical Mondays are such a treat! And the bartenders are all fantastic, in my experience. Theyre almost always willing to help you on picking a drink if youre indecisive. I once asked a bartender if he knew any mixed drinks with Baileys and he offered a chocolate martini with Baileys. It was SO good! I get it every time I go in, now. The weekends can be a little too packed to maneuver but its still a great gay bar. Highly recommend stopping in.
I have to say I love coming here. Brian R. Is a bartender here. It was my first time seeing him here because I dont come often. I have to say he is the best bartender. I asked for a Titos Vodka and Cranberry and thats exactly what I got. No skimping, no watered down drinks. My brother always told me that Sidetrack has the best drinks..... They sure do. Atmosphere is friendly and bar is clean. Love this place. Thanks Brian R!
Bartender girl reacted very rude when I told her my cocktail was not strong at all after I made my friends try it too. She throws the cocktail away and made a new one out of anger!. Is this the type of love you share in this place?? Just wondering
We came here during Market Days and loved it. Not only were we served immediately, but the bartenders gave us the best service we’ve ever had at a bar and were so fun to talk to. The rooftop is great too. Recommend to anyone in boystown!
Sidetrack is just awesome. It’s a perfect go-to place when you/you and your friends aren’t sure where to go for a drink in a chill environment. Prices are as expected for drinks, lines get long on weekends but the staff work diligently and quickly and are very friendly. Cute men come here, so that’s especially nice. They have plenty of themed days (Dog Day is one of my favorites) and drag performers. Love this place.
First of all, the place is HUGE! The staff is always friendly, professional and courteous. The drinks are made by great bartenders and the slushies are yummy and potent, be careful. The music varies by night, weekend nights are all the latest dance hits but other nights it is best to check and see what they are playing. I say that because I am not a showtunes fan and they do showtunes often since I seem to be one of the few who does not enjoy it. This place does extremely high volume yet nobody ever seems stressed in their job. A very fun, professional place with nice patrons.
I’ve only been to Chicago a few times. This bar has an upbeat modern feel with music videos playing everywhere. It can get VERY crowded sometimes, especially on weekends or when Madonna plays on the screens :)The drinks are mixed well and are strong. However they don’t know how to make some of the classic drinks like a sidecar, Manhattan, Negroni or a French 75. This really isn’t the bar for that though. The upstairs patio can be a break down the crowds downstairs but it was closed early the last few times I was there.
I came here with two friends with fully legal IDs that are well above legal drinking age and we were denied despite the IDs being legal and us asking them to call the cops to prove legality. i watched them “submit” the photos to some agency on their computer. we were then shoved out by security who was extremely rude to us and unwilling to hear us out. we were regulars but this was a terrible experience and their ID checking machine does not work and their employees are rude. After posting this review I’m changing to be 5 stars as management called and completely investigated the incident and was extremely understanding and agreed that this was not in their policies. Thank you to management for hearing me out and I will continue supporting Sidetrack!
Fantastic club. Great bars everywhere. Upstairs best. Super lighting. Awesome music. Fun fun fun. Can’t wait to be back. And I’m a “straight” guy. These people really know how to enjoy themselves.
Great music, friendly staff and the roof deck is a perfect summer spot. Its a huge bar with different rooms with unique character. The crowd really gets into the music and show tunes!!
First time in. Not from here. 2 words - Promote Archer. Seriously. If you own this bar do it. The only reason we didnt consider anywhere else was Archer. Our tour happily ended at sidetrack. Archer (bartender) is incredible. Bar is great looking. Good crowd. Good music. No surprise it was rated one of the top 6 gay bars in the USA. Prices are fair and the decor is nice. Laid back, they dont act like the best but they are.
We LOVE sidetrack. No cover ever — however the DJ has gone a bit downhill lately. BRING BACK BRYAN EVERY WEEKEND NIGHT!!! The new younger guy just doesn’t play the good music! We head to Roscoe’s more and more lately because the new brown haired guy just isn’t as good!!! We miss you Bryan!!!!!!!!!
I’ve never once felt accepted by the “community” at this bar during OutSpoken.
Fast service, but very busy! Lots of bars and different drink options. The rooftop closes around 11:30, but they have a couple other places to go. The dancefloor was shoulder to shoulder, but so fun!
A month ago I had done a 5 star review for Sidetrack but I edited it and gave a 1 star. Why? When 3 bartenders are attending bar and 1 completely blows you off but then serves the person behind you I find that disrespectful. Another one attended the people around me and it took 40 minutes for him to ask if something was wrong only because I took my glass and slammed it down. If you dont have a nice body or in with the bartenders they start calling you weird and look at you like you were something from another planet. I served this nation during war and I did not pick and choose who I wanted to help but obviously Sidetrack is doesnt really care about that.
Warning Please watch your credit card any card to use before handle at the bartender information gets stolen because couple days ago they charge me $642 from my card. cart was stolen information please be careful about your card the best decision to do pay with cash they are scammer bar when I called my bank capital one they see a statement someone charge me $642 and they say your card was the my girlfriend she’s start refusing about the situation because my girlfriend she bank accounting specially the white guy you need to be careful from him suspicious he did it OK thank you
I explained how I changed my purse and I had pictures of all my documents (passport, ID, and certificate) and they still denied me. I also tried explaining I had my passport but they wouldn’t even let me talk they just kicked me out. I get that they need to scan it but the bouncers LITERALLY told me to wait in the snow storm. It was my first time going out to a club since I turned 21 and they wouldn’t even let me stand with my friends. I had to stand in the snow and basically wait for an Uber to go home to get my documents (which I couldn’t even return because of the snow and the traffic). Unfortunate but most of all so unprofessional. Like I get you have to do your job but at least be compassionate and throw a woman out in a snow storm. Not to mention it did not look the best because I was the only one kicked out from my friends and I was the only Latina in that group. Whether that was the intention or not it was so uncalled for and the bouncers didn’t even seem to care.
Never had a bad time here at all. Good music, very spacious and great drink prices (at least for spirits. I dont think Ive ever seen anyone drink beer there). Would even recommend as a one-stop spot for the night, as far as 2am clubs (3am Sat) go
Nice big bar with great prices. On the weekends gets busy. Musical Mondays are fun.
This is my favorite place on the planet. If you’ve never been, you’re missing out. If you HAVE been, you know the vibe. Friendly bartenders, fairly priced drinks, SLUSHIES, theme nights, great music, and an incredible, well-maintained venue.
Great space with pleanty of room to socialize with friends. Multiple bars and has a spacious rooftop bar which is usually packed during the warmer months. They have great drinks, tons of frozen drink options and its fairly priced. One of the best spots to watch drag race with Dixie Lynn and Dida Ritz hosting when in season. Its a great place thats clean and packed most nights.
Sidetrack is personally the best gay bar in Boystown. There has never been a cover at the door when many other bars do. Every time I go I have a blast. Here’s what to expect:Tons of men (of all ages), mostly the same music every time (like Dua Lipa, Lizzo, and popular drag race songs)(music videos playing constantly), the place is huge so if someone annoys you it’s easy to find a new spot.
Of the 6 people I was with tonight, 3 of them (all girls) got their phones stolen out of their purses. You absolutely need to keep hold of your valuables at this bar, its not safe to enjoy yourself with these people. Its not AT ALL an anti-gay thing. At all. You need to keep hands on your valuables at all times at this bar. Its not safe for your valuables. Be safe.
Waited for over 10 minutes before the server decided to acknowledge us which never happened......and there were only 2 other tables. We saw him around. He saw us. He just decided we werent worth his bother. Terrible service. Terrible. The bouncers efficient. What a shame. Used to love that place for its service. Went down the street and were served immediately with a smile.
Great bay bar in boystown. It is huge with lots of different areas and nicely designed interiors. Good music and reasonably priced drinks. There is no cover which is nice and a coat check.
This place is huge! Great drink menu. It does get very crowded here, however, the bar staff is very attentive, and youre not waiting forever to get noticed when you want a drink. They have a couple bar take out windows. Not that you can take the drinks out of the bar, but its a walk up window. If the proper bars are full, you can just go to one of these to get a drink.
One of the best bars in Boystown. The place is huge (there are four separate bars downstairs) and theres an upstairs patio. Drinks are cheap - a perfect place to start your night before going to a club with a larger dance floor.
This place was amazing! It’s gets very crowded on weekends but it made for great company! I wish the drinks where a little cheaper but it’s a club so what else can you expect? Definitely recommend.
I visited this bar and spent a lot of money for more than 14 years, the bartenders are great, Nolbert is the best but all the other bartenders are excellent, great drinks and beautiful place. The only complain I have about this place is that when they hire some new staff they dont comply with the standard of the staff, on my last day before moving out of Chicago I was escorted out by this young skinny guy that was working as a security just because someone confused me with someone else. I tried to explain the guy it wasnt me and the behavior he was describing wasnt like me, but he wouldnt believe me, I even told him to go and ask my bartender who had seen me the whole night and could give a reference and he wouldnt believe me, I sadly had to leave the place without even saying bye to my bartender and my friends. The funny thing is I saw one of the other bartenders out on the street on my way home and I explained to him what happened and he said, that he had been my bartender in many occasions and he had never seen me being aggressive, and he said probably the guy working the door didnt know what he was doing. its sad to leave a place that you have come almost every weekend and where almost everyone knows you there to be kicked out by someone who was an extra that night who didnt know you and made a bad judgement call just because he felt he was in power. People like this should not be hired at this places.
Best spot in Chicago, hands down. Friendly staff, good music, good shows, constantly innovating, but most importantly, honest staff and culture. I lost my wallet, called the next day, I wasn’t there. Bradley reached out to me through Facebook to let me know that my wallet was found… who does that? World-class individuals. Thanks, Sidetrack and Bradley, you made a Customer forever.
Can get crowded if the weather is bad outside but if the weather is nice outside there is plenty of space. Best places to hang out are the upper levels in my opinion. Nice to be up and above it all. Best to take CTA or a cab here, parking can be tricky unless you want to valet it. Staff is decent and they are known for their slushy drinks - the currant one is outstanding. Clientele varies depending on the time from stuck up to approachable and friendly but the staff is always welcoming. One of my favorite Chicago bars.
Love this bar!! My favorite in Chicago. Never a cover and staff is always friendly and nice. Drinks are amazing and strong. Love the multi levels and socializing. Great decor. Great place to visit!
My favorite bar in boystown!! Had multiple bars, great music, amazing staff, delicious deinks, and always a good time!
How I love this place! ♥️ The vibe it’s just AMAZING! The best! ✨
Always a great time. Good music. Great drinks. Staff is always very helpful and there’s always something going on!
Great drinks. Amazing music. SHOW TUNES is a PLUS!!!!! The staff is super nice and friendly. The rooftop is super cool.If you are a visitor this is the place to go!!!!
This past weekend was a mess. Went to celebrate a birthday and didnt know this was an ALL VACCINATED bar ONLY. The security said MY KIND was not allowed and they would accept me at 2 other bars down the street. Im sorry but all of a sudden you feel entitled to discriminate and talk like that. This used to be the bar to go but not after that type of encounter. Please dont blame that its all still knew bc I understand but doesnt give you the right to say that to people. You know exactly what you said.
I have never complain in my life. Three of my friends and i where there last Friday. unfortunately we dont remember the bartender face. I have two drinks and we all got really sick. We have still lots of pain in our stomach and there is no way that is normal. I understand some people put stuff in drinks because they think is funny but it is actually bad for the business because we are never Going back. It is a very nice place to hang out but just because of one bad bartender we cant go back ever again.
Its a nice place. But my concern is with the parking woes. Im not from the city and drove there from the burbs last Friday night. After driving around a few times, found a parking spot on the street and the payment box said it was free till midnight. I come out at 12.15 and there was a ticket ($100) on my window placed at 12.04!!!! And I saw it on all the cars parked on the street and there were a lot. Though Im not justifying my action and I did pay the fine, this is a city problem and I wish the bars and night clubs should together work with the city to address it. In an entertainment area thats popular on weekend nights, allowing parking earlier on and restricting it after midnight and issuing tickets within a few minutes seems like planned robbery to me.
Fun, clean and even better staff. Truly love this bar! It’s very inclusive too. You guys rock!!
If you are a mo or a straight girl, this is the place to go on Halsted. The bartenders free pour, so you are always guaranteed a GOOD drink. The theme nights bring different crowds each evening and Friday and Saturday bring all the suburbanites out so it gets very crowded!
This place is absolutely racist through the year they cater to a white demographic, but on pride parade Sunday they still discriminate to minorities. My partner and I tried to enter during the pride parade and they said the Mexican pride flag that we bought in the festival could be used as a weapon.
BE AWARE. This place is FUN but a HOTSPOT for pick pocketing. I wish I would have read the reviews from others about this before visiting. Had my iphone stolen the second (literally) my hand was out of my pocket. I wish they would have given me a warning when I entered. Love the place, it is a shame this happened here.
By far the best Gay Bar in Chicago. Staff is very professional and friendly. Service is excellent and consistent. The variety of events each day welcomes all types of people. Their charity events and fundraisers benefits many LGBT organizations around Chicago and the world.
Sidetrack was the first bar I ever went to, and the Ketel One Krush the first alcoholic drink I ever had. I absolutely love this place :-)Its big enough to never get so crowded and cramped I would feel claustrophobic like in some smaller spaces. The bar always feels clean, and each bar feels like its own little neighborhood space, with often friendly bartenders who have been there for many years. The videos are great, the screens top quality. The crowds are also the most diverse on the strip. This is my favorite bar.
This place is nice in the inside, but overall the staff are rude . They forced me to check my bag in, in which I have never heard of that. I checked my bag, but misplaced the ticket, the staff member Paul that was at the cost check didn’t want to give me my bag . Stating, that I needed the ticket. I politely, described the bag and asked if he could check in the inside for mail because I had my ID in my hand . He refused to do so, I had to call the police to get my bag . Then I was thrown out, before the police arrived . Horrible after I spent money in this place, I will never go there again it was a nightmare. My phone also died, and I was stranded while being under the influence of the drinks that I had. I believe this place is racist, and would encourage people of color to stay out if there. My whole night, was ruined after his when I could have received my bag and left. What purpose was Paul serving , he still gave me my bag anyway. I’m thinking , this may always be a rip-off, that the staff take people’s purse after they leave. There’s absolutely no reason why you should have to check your bag.
This is not a place I would generally find myself in but my girl wanted to go. Sidetrack is located on the main strip in Boystown and was very easy to find. The staff were all very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We had some of the famous vodka slushies and they were great. They werent strong but were ok for the cost. The bar must have taken over a few buildings because it is very expansive. Everything was very clean and it had a variety of different moods depending on which area you went to. There are televisions everywhere which was pretty cool. We were there on a Friday night and it was decently busy but certainly not uncomfortable. If you are in Boystown it is worth stopping in to Sidetracks even if just for a quick drink.
Such a great bar. Drinks are strong at a good price. The music is good and the atmosphere is unmatched
Very nice club. In regards to the crowd and the night I went on, sidetrack lacks in diversity. The music is okay. They go off of a youtube playlist. The drinks were cheap. Overall me and my friends had a great time.
By far the best gay bar in chicago. It is a staple of the gay community and its an amazing fun bar. The service is always top notch and very friendly. Highly recommend trying their frozen drinks, they are amazing and the eye candy is good too!
Love this bar. The staff is amazing and the entertainment is exceptional. We love it so much we were married on their deck. Highly recommended to visit whenever in Chicago!!
A great place to start your night or spend an afternoon. Lots of interesting events and community fundraisers. Barstaff is always friendly and enthusiastic and it is a hub of Chicagos gay social scene!
Awesome bar with great drinks. Musical Mondays are a blast. Staff is friendly and they have great drink recommendations. Bathrooms are clean and transgender friendly.
We went to Sidetrack and they required proof of vaccination. We’re all healthcare workers who worked through the entire pandemic and had proof of our vaccination, however one of us had a picture of getting vaccinated (with the 2 previous people that were let in with pictures of our vaccine card) and a picture of her getting her shot with the date of January 2021, but it was too blurry to accept? Not to mention, the protocol was that if you weren’t vaccinated, you were allowed to go to a different room with your mama. However, she wasn’t even offered that and was told she couldn’t enter at all. Also my mom, who had a stroke, wasn’t allowed to come in because the line stopped and she stumbled due to her lack of proprioception and the sudden stop of the line. Instead of a conversation, she simply wasn’t allowed in. After going back, I was eventually offered to speak to a manager, but at that point It was too late. The amount of pretension and entitlement at this establishment is unreal.
My home bar away from home. Love the atmosphere and the drinks (of course) Can’t go home with out a slushie drink. But the friendliness of the staff was amazing.
Hands down the largest gay club Ive seen in the mid-west if not the entire country. Sidetrack has multiple rooms with different floors each pumping out a different but none-the-less cruisey vibe. The people are usually friendly and the drinks are cheap! Then again, living in San Francisco everything else seems appropriately priced. The drinks are heavy, the boys are hot, and the club is bumpin.
Secret upstairs patio provides a respite from the crowds. If you know what youre getting into, its fun and silly place. If youre looking for a place to sit down and a have a casual drink and order spaghetti, this is certainly not the place for you.
Great bar, drinks aren’t too overpriced and the staff is friendly. If you get there past 11pm you will likely encounter lines to get in. The inside is spacious and fun. Worth visiting.
Had the addictive drink called Sidetrack Crush. Huge place with a variety of sections to cater to different clientele. Went there on a Monday, the entire crowd sang along to show tunes; its not every day you get to see to an entire floor of men signing along to Frozens Let it Go 😉 I just dont understand their door policy of not letting water bottles in, the bouncer insisted I threw it away without any explanation or alternatives.
Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday are always happening. Clean, spacious and the bartenders are always super. The crowd can give an attitude, which in my opinion is very unwelcome. Were in the Midwest, save that for the East or West coast.
Im sure its the best gay club in Chicago, you can have fun every night there 😍
This is one of the best gay bars in Chicago because it has all the elements that I am looking for in a gay bar = diversity in patrons, friendly bar staff, great selection in drinks, frequent drink specials, variety of themed nights and the best outdoor space in a Chicago gay bar. Its my go-to spot on Sunday afternoons.
This bar is definitely the epicenter of Boystown. By far the largest gay bar in Chicago, it features multiple rooms, each with its own layout and ability to make the overall size more cozy. Sidetrack really tries to be a central gathering bar for Boystown, where everyone feels welcome to meet up with friends or a date. There is no dance floor, so youll need to look elsewhere for that. They dont really try to cater to any one particular crowd, and so expect to see a little bit of everything here. Definitely a go to when I have friends or family visiting from out of town. The owners are also committed to the community, and only stock products from companies that support community organizations.
If you enjoy musical numbers, on Sunday and Monday nights this is your spot. Everyone is just having a great time singing together to their favorite songs. If you enjoy alcoholic slushies, count yourself in.
I’ve been to sidetrack twice and I love the vibes and the service. Bartenders are so nice and fun to talk to you!
Sidetrack, the first gay bar I went to as part of the Chicago Bar Bracket, an NCAA style tournament to find the best bar in Chicago. My only complaint about Sidetrack is that it is more of a club/lounge than a bar. Well, I guess I could also complain about not enough woman, but I was the one coming to the gay bar, its not like anyone forced Sidetrack on me.Anyways, the bartenders here are great: attentive service and know how to make their drinks. The house speciality, a Purple Slushie aka Ketel One Krush - or as I like to call it, K.O.K. - is tasty, but a bit too sugary. In general, if you leave your drink choices up to the bartender they seem to lean on the sugary stuff a bit much, but maybe thats just because theyre so sweet (#awwww). The bar itself is huge, composed of multiple patios, bars, lounges and rooms. I highly recommend bringing a cartographer with you to Sidetrack so you dont get lost. While a gay bar may not be where I choose to go on a random night, I can see why all of my friends, gay or straight, said that Sidetrack is an awesome bar when I would bring up my upcoming visit for the bracket. Also, with how welcoming and well done the bar is, I would not hesitate to make a return trip, but like my friend Mimizi said, it helps to have a gay Sherpa with you. I did have several gay friends with me, but I doubt that really made a difference.Anyways, Sidetrack faced off against Twisted Spoke in the Chicago Bar Bracket, beating the Spoke by a vote of 4-2 and advancing to the round of 32 in my efforts to find the best bar in Chicago.
Even if youre a straight woman, Sidebar is a great place to hang out and get your dance on! Dont stop in without having a pineapple slushie and saying hi to MIkey behind the bar. Sunday show tunes is not to be missed!
Massive space with multiple separates rooms and bars. Sunday night show tunes are a nice break from the other clubs of the area, providing a low key hangout despite the large crowds.
THis is a really nice bar/club. THeir roof top deck is beautiful, its a great place to just chill out with friends but the guys ive encountered tend to be a little full of themselves. Its a cool looking place though. If you go with a good group of friends youll have a great time with each other.
Such a large place with tons of events always going on. Ive never went here and had a dull moment. I would however say that its sometimes difficult to get a drink at the main bar but thats only because of how busy the place usually is.
Nice furniture. Nice decoration. One can find really mainstream innocent twinks there. Why are the doors from the mens cubicles removed? Seriously, cheer up, stop the oppression! Might as well out some cameras there too! Such a difference from Berlins gay clubs.
Let me tell you a story.I was dancing, having a great time and then someone (obviously over-served) puked on me from head to toe. My friend asked the bartender for a towel so that I could wipe the chunks off of me. I was kicked out of of the bar. No. I was ESCORTED out of the bar. I tried to explain to the “bouncers” what happened and was told that since the bartender wanted me to leave that I should probably just go.I highly discourage anyone from going to this bar. I’ve never been disregarded, disrespected, or encountered a more disinterested staff in my entire gay life.
Overall the bar is amazing, I have nothing negative to say about the bar itself, however the staff sucks, and of course I am just trying to single out one person here, everybody else was great up until I sat down, and ordered one drink, and I was waiting for my friend to come by, he was driving, so I was going to wait for him to drive by, help him find parking , throw my bag and my coat in his car and then come back in. simple right?well upon explaining to the barback my plan, he stood over me, told me that I had to check my bag or leave, and he was going to wait there until I did. threatened to throw me out, and so I complied by finishing my drink, and walking out.I asked the young lady at the door, if that was customary, she explained it was, I apologized, she apologized, and the barback simply held the door open without saying a word.the only reason I am writing this is because I just felt extremely insulted. for whatever reason the barback had to be such a Dick towards a random customer, I have no idea. but I just had to let this frustration out.enjoy the bar, its amazing, Ive been a customer for years. and will most likely continue to be. Ill just know to make sure what Im going to do with my bag before I come into the bar.thanks for reading
I was this this weekend at this place. The security would not let me get in, supposedly because my ID seem fake which is it not if you research Florida ID’s you will find it.The person checking ID also took my ID and kept it and he did not gave it to me.My only form of identification and i had to leave and i asked for it to be returned to me but they did not gave it back to me.This was very rude and unprofessional and stupid cause they do not have the power to take no ones identification.I demand that management would contact me as this is very highly inappropriate.
Went here for the first time and I absolutely loved it! The music videos they were playing on the big screen tvs were awesome! Such a fun and inviting place to be. Definitely not the last time Ill visit
I love sidetrack. I’m from Orlando and I always make sure to visit if I’m in Chicago on a a Sunday. The crowd is welcoming and who doesn’t love a great Broadway show tune.
So much debauchery here. Ive spent my formative years in the bars on Halsted. Sidetrack, from the start was the sponsored bar for the Chicago Gay Mens Chorus in the late 90s (maybe still is?) so wed go there after Sunday rehearsals for...you guessed it: debauchery. So its been a source of the gays and their debauchery for many years or my life.
Slushies, shots, and mixed drinks. You have several different bars to choose from so you never have to wait too long for your cocktail. Staff is very friendly. They host several annual events to benefit the GLBTQ Community.
A fantastic bar to have a good time with friends. Be responsible with your belongings, and enjoy yourself.
Interesting place to go to with fun drinks, mostly cheap and great hangout! Good place to chill with but the service, especially the bouncers can be a little handful. This might be due to the fact that it was pre-pride fest but ohwells :/
It is a nice place to get your night started. They do have a rooftop terrace, but it was closed the night I was there. It was clean and the barkeeps were attentive and friendly, but the music wasnt that great
The best bar in Boystown (in my opinoin). From Musical Mondays to a great Saturday night out. Its the nicest, biggest bar in Chicago. GREAT drink prices too!
Cool bar, I stopped in after work on a Thursday. Great atmosphere and nicely separated bars if you want to dance or just chill and relax. I will be back.
The events here are surprisingly fun to be a part of. Beyoncé Wednesday’s and Britney (whatever day) are fun. There’s always a good vibe and energy flowing. Look around, explore the many bars in this complex.
Its always a party here in this bar. Never encountered any drama in this gay bar. Its super classy and the drinks are reasonable and the staff are super friendly. Best bar in boystown from my opinion.
Cool environment. Music should be better
Good place to spend the middle of your night out. The slushies are surprisingly delicious and the crowd has a few hidden gems. Good choice to take your group of friends out and mingle, instead of just finding a corner and staking your claim.
Had a wonderful time with Cat my bar maid. Great drinks and plenty of good music. The drink prices are excellent.I will become a staple at this establishment.
This is by far one of my favorite bars in Chicago. The crowd is cool and awesome and the best thing they have is the open deck on the roof. This is definitely one of the better places to go in boystown
The atmosphere is good, prices reasonable. nice upstairs outdoor patio if the weather is good. can get crowded on weekends and special events, but the weekday showtunes nites are very cool and fun to attend.
Went for the first time my past visit. Large venue, good music, strong drinks and nice upstairs open patio area. If in the area a definate go to spot.
One of the best gay bars in the United States. Best known for show tunes and music videos, Sidetrack has a large, welcoming space that is always clean with a friendly staff.
I like it well enough... The patrons can be a touch stuck up for my taste, and the drinks are high. But I like the staff a lot and its a pretty, clean bar. I sometimes stop in.
Reko is the best bartender in Chicago, the best Long Islands I have ever had. Thank you so much. You are amazing! ❤️
Had an AWESOME time here back in 2019 when Mariah Carey was in Chicago for her Caution World Tour. Sidetrack hosted a Mariah themed night and all the lambs (fans) showed up! I didn’t leave reviews back then, so am leaving one now to say Thanks Sidetrack for such a fun, memorable night! 🦋
Sidetrack is currently requiring proof of covid vaccinations and accepting pictures as proof. I was told my picture of my card was too blurry. I am a healthcare worker and my picture was taken in January 2021 at my place of work holding my vaccine card. It’s frustrated to work through an entire pandemic and my one day post 24 hour call at the hospital not be allowed in with all my co workers because my picture blurry
Went there twice already and the 3rd time they said my NC id was fake. IDK how you scan my id twice and then reject me on time number 3. Absolute dump.
Really cool venue. Lots of space. No cover charge. But no one is dancing on a Friday night . Just room after room of guys standing around talking
Boystowns largest and classiest nightlife establishment with adult slushies that pack some real punch! Showtunes on Mondays, comedy bits on Thursdays, and popular jams from mainstream genres most other evenings!
Visited after our screening of Something Like Summer at Chicagos Reeling International LGBT Film Festival. We were well taken care of by a lovely bartender named Petunia.
The bartenders are amazing, especially Brian, who treats everyone like family. Every person is welcome at Sidetrack. Perfect place to spend a weekend.
Just go. Solid drinks with heavy pours for a decent price. Almost always like the music. The crowds are fun and lack hoards of creepy straight men.
Everyones welcome at Sidetracks. A great tourist spot as well as a great place to meet friends for a drink or two or five. They always dress up real nice for the holidays.
3 level gay bar in the heart of boys town Chicago. Very friendly crowd and attentive bartenders. The frozen drinks are fantastic.
Went for the storytelling event for aueer voices. Stunning. Safe place and great drinks, and a cool venue
What I love about Sidetrack is that theres something for everyone. As opposed to most gay bars in Boystown, Sidetrack welcomes both young and old. Musical Mondays brings out all of the theater queens in Chicago for a stellar evening of singing along to movie musicals and Tony Awards performances. If you stay long enough, youll learn the songs and the traditions of SIdetrack.
It’s a great place to hang out and enjoy the music . I went on Black Friday 2022 and a few of the patrons in the bar was a bit rude and ignorant. It I would still go back.
Friendly staff, large space with two levels for dancing and bar access. Amazing music selection. Highly recommend!!!
Josh gave the BEST service eveer! Hes so friendly and makes this a place a will absolutely come to again. Amazingly personable bartender.
I walked away from my drink and teddy immediately covered it for me. A safe place for sure.
My favorite spot in Boystown. Really nice and big. Drinks are a bit pricey, but overall the athmosphere is great and the crowd is FUN!!
It’s already sad enough that we have to social distance in the bar. Can we at least get good clips of show tunes on “showtune Sunday” to lift the spirits a bit.
Not cool when your security asks people who are hard of hearing if theyve been overserved because said security guard was asked to repeat themselves *once*. This was 9:45pm tonight. Do better, Sidetracks.
Sidetrack has everything youd want at a club: multiple slushy flavor options, Rain On Me playing at least once a night, and free Jolly Ranchers at coat check. 5 stars.
Favorite VIDEO Bar In boystown!!! Beyonce night is a MUST! Beyonce night kills it: Queens performing, lip sync battles, you name it. Oh and their Bacardi pineapple slushi is so good!
Awesome atmosphere. Mad respect we (La Cage Milwaukee) enjoyed our evening here and will continue to do so. Thanks for the awesome reception
Embarrassing service. terrible wait staff. Ive never been more humiliated as a gay man. try again and go somewhere else.
Went for Outspoken and it was excellent! Trivia followed, folks seemed to have fun.
Stand a model bar with video screens that plays showtunes. If youre not a cute twink you wont get fast service. The bartenders tend to be really rude to fat bears.
Sidetrack is the gay mecca of Chicago. Dont expect to see the love of your life, but always know you will have a good time. Every guy that you want to see in Chicago does stop by, however it may not be for long that he will be there.

Lots of dancing and specialty frozen drinks. They played music videos on big screens.
