Massage Envy

Carmita is what I call a “knot whisperer”- which supports the fact her waitlist is often booked a few months out. I’ve been coming to this location for over a year with my membership just for her. Absolutely worth it.

I live in the area and walked over there today to ask about booking a massage with all my clothes on. The fat front desk on the left person got so sarcastic with me and said, we dont do chair massages.. I said, I didnt ask for a chair massage. I asked if I could do a massage with all my clothes on, sweatshirt, and pants. Then she said sarcastically, we dont have any openings. I said, fine, and I walked out. I worked with your company for 21 years from the Westin as I was Chef Concierge and need massages for our baseball players. I must tell you, I will never suggest your company to anyone ever again Your fat receptionist are bad for business.

Excelent service, parking lot, professional and clean service. I wear mask during massage and for sure everyone is using masks! Due to the new Covid19 rules no candies or water, but not a problem for me. Great 90 mins massage!!!

I had an AMAZING one hour massage by Carmita. I would go back just for her. I felt so relaxed, and got firm pressure and extra time on my focus areas like I asked. The front desk woman was super sweet, although pushed the membership really hard. I would go back though!

Yesterday I had the absolute worst experience at the Massage Envy located at 668 W Diversey Parkway in Chicago, Illinois. My massage was cancelled an hour before and so I was offered a half off facial. I accepted the offer and have not stopped regretting that decision. The second I got home and looked in the mirror my skin was beat red and covered in chemical burns with open skin all over my face. The second day I am covered in scabs which will take weeks to heal. I have had numerous facials in my life and have NEVER had an experience like this or even the slightest reaction to my skin. This esthetician should NEVER be touching anybody else’s face or have a license and I will be making sure to NEVER recommend this place to anybody. I am absolutely sick about what happened to me and hope it never happens to anyone else. My skin didn’t have a single blemish on my face before coming and is now completely ruined.

We’ve been going to this massage envy for about two years now and never have had a bad experience with anyone the front desk recommended. My husband sees Jose and Carmita and I love Lynda, Melisa and Rose! We are so lucky to have this massage envy close by. Y’all really need to try them out. Thank God for massage envy.

I got a text today at 11:38am reminding me of a massage at 11:30am that I never booked in the first place.I had credit for one massage left in my account and it was credited as a cancellation fee for not showing up. Now they are saying it was booked in the system and I have to pay because I didn’t cancel 24hrs in advance. I never book that massage since at 11:30am I was working. They refused to credit back my account. Ridiculous.

I really wanted to leave a good review. My husband gifted me a massage for our anniversary 6/30/20. My therapist was late into getting me into the room for my 60 min massage. So I thought ok, that’s fine as long as I get my full time. Then, I undress and the massage begins. The oil was cold and so were her hands. It was the most uncomfortable feeling. I ask her to warm the oil, she says if she leaves to warm the oil it will take away from my massage time. So I laid there uncomfortably with cold hands and non-warmed oil on my body. Then she finishes my 60 massage almost 10 min early. I asked her why we were early. She said that is because the massage is truly 50min with a 5 min consultation in the beginning and 5 min consultation in the end.Then, I was not greeted by her with water as I should have been in the end.The positives: she gave perfect pressure. Knowledgeable and conversational.I am overall disappointed. I should have had a more pleasurable experience on my anniversary. And I won’t be going back to massage envy. It was a disappointment.

Everything was great other than the fact that the massage was supposed to be 1 hour, and I was only given 50 minutes. I let the front desk know about the time, and they literally said nothing, except did you want to leave a tip. (A total of 50 minutes with dressing and consultation) Ill never go back, so there is no need to contact anyone. Thanks for nothing.

I would not recommend this place. I went for my first massage asking to focus on legs and back (as a sports massage for a runner). She convinced me to do some vibration treatment which was incredibly weird, cost $10, and took off more than 15 min from the massage. Then only focused on my legs and was a little snippy with me when I couldnt relax? Will not return and would not recommend.

Im so happy the staff here was able to fit me in as a walk in this afternoon so in GRATITUDE Im leaving a five star review for my wonderful experience here. I wasnt able to see my dentist as planned today and I had walked past another massage clinic but they werent able to accommodate me so they encouraged me to give this particular massage envy a try and Im very pleased with the efficiency of the staff, the cleanliness, the friendly vibes and my highly gifted and intuitive massage therapist named Tungaa. Let me be clear; she really knew where to find all my adhesions, my troubled areas and all my trigger points. The key to getting the massage you truly desire is how you communicate your needs to your therapist so before I even entered my private treatment room the receptionist had me fill out an electronic questionnaire form on a computer tablet and I had a chance to delineate all the problem areas in my body and fill out my allergies and general health. When my therapist Tungaa was ready for me she again asked me what type of pressure Id like and where I needed her to concentrate her attention on. I havent had any bodywork in 7 months and having such a skilled and caring therapist open up my physical blockages was such a treat. It made me realize I should definitely make time to fit in a massage for myself weekly just for wellness and maintenance so I can feel more refreshed and pain free. I am a therapist and it felt incredibly soothing and supportive to have a true professional work on my issues especially because I tend to have poor posture challenges when I work with my own clients. The Massage Envy here was very organized and I was never pressured into signing up for a monthly membership but I was cordially given information in the event I wanted to join up and receive discounted treatments. Today I received a 90 minute session at a greatly discounted price because I had never been a guest here before so if you are new to massage envy you have absolutely nothing to lose by trying an hour long session or 90 minute session at their low introductory rate. Im very pleased with my massage and next time Id love to try the hot stone therapy session just to help loosen my muscles even more.

I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. My wife gifted me a massage and it was severely lacking. I was trying to relax during it but the person kept wanting to talk. Also, while I originally requested light pressure they wanted to try to jam their first through my back. On top of all this when Im done they try to get me to buy more massages. Im sure therell be a response to this review where they state how they appreciate feedback and will work to better their service but its pointless.

This place is Amazing and the Massage Therapist I had was name Sophia and she really knows her craft. My body and muscles were so bad that all I had to do was explain what was wrong with my body and by the time she was done, I have never felt so great. I felt like I had a new body. I definitely would recommend Sophia at Massage Envy on Diversey n Halsted to ALL my friends n family. Sophia you were amazing.

I have had a pain in my right shoulder and neck for over a week. It was causing headaches and very painful. I saw Michael yesterday. He listened and understood my issue. He was able to identify my pressure points and I feel AMAZING today!!! It has been over a week since I have been pain free and it is all due to Michael! I have been raving about him all day and highly recommend seeing him!!

I dont mind the plan... the problem is that the quality of the massage can vary. My first was amazing... the second was okay--not perfect. I think going when you need it makes more sense than setting up a must use plan month by month

Location could not be worse. There is a guard hanging out in the premises and if after your business you dare to step out of the parking lot’s fence for a minute to say hi to a friend that is passing down the street, you’ll find your car booted. The guard speaks zero English too, making the ordeal very stressful.

It was the most relaxing thing Ive done in months. I had a stretch, full body massage, and a facial. Total pampering. I love it. TREAT YOURSELF, you wont regret it.

I go here for one therapist. She’s the best. The door staff are always on point. The waiting areas are ok but you’re never there long. It’s the staff that make this place!

They get a star for the parking, however limited. But I knock three of four getting the worst massage of my life. I was in pain the whole time and so sore the next day.
