The Mine Chicago

This place doesnt have very good reviews but my husband and I actually had a great time at The Mine! We had gone before several years ago and hesitated to go again based on the reviews but glad we did. Great music and good drinks! I only wish that there were more bathrooms because the place got packed and resulted in very long bathroom lines.

My group had a fun time at the mine however there were several things that went wrong and could have been prevented. I had a table last night and spoke to a promoter about a different price and once we got there, the bottle girl/ server that named started with an L informed us a different price. Not only that, we had to tell multiple bottle girls/ servers about getting my friend her bday sash and crown and it wasnt given to us till later on. Which wasn’t a big deal, the icing on the cake was when my friend left her phone at our table and someone who worked there grabbed it. She was told by security she had to come back at 5 am to try to retrieve it and once we came back, whomever spoke to her at the door told her they didnt have it. My friend has the proof of the location of her phone and its still at The Mine. Its obligatory and by law to be given her phone back.

The girl in the picture was very rude to my friends and I was we were waiting in line. She enabled a a screaming match out of nothing and security did nothing but encourage her behavior by kicking us out when they CLEARLY heard her starting to call us names first.

SCAM SCAM SCAM watch they’ll respond and make stupid excuses about how they were right and you know what? Technically yes they’re right. BUT they utilized their advantage to sway you into making wrong decisions.Background on this: I had booked a table reservation and paid a deposit and was assuming the deposit would be used towards my bottle purchases. I had paid 350 and wanted to pay total of 700 as I was told it would cost 700 to reserve a table. I ended up paying 1000. Why you ask? Because I originally ordered two bottles that would’ve been 700 total then the 350 would be sued on it so I would pay 350 but the lady kept telling me everything was out of stock then when I wanted two of the cheapest items she told me you wouldn’t be allowed to order those without giving a clear reason or letting me know clearly. Mind you, this is a super large club so she used that to her advantage.So because elf this she ordered the most exkesive champagne for me without me actually knowing. She claims she showed me a picture of my receipt which I don’t remember and don’t think she did but even if she did she rushed me to is wet my card but to be truthful I seriously don’t remember her showing me the 800 dollar drink bottle. I wouldn’t have ordered it if so. She also knew my friends were in a rush to start drinking so took advantage of me there as well.

It is understood that many of these places have dress codes but you have to be logical in what you ask and have equal conditions for both men and women! Do they want to be a high-end club? You have to behave as such. Terrible and terrible treatment from the security staff. My experience in this place was terrible from start to finish. They dont let you in with white clothes when there are people who dont even know how to dress and yet they were inside. They dont allow incoherent things. I dont recommend it at all. 1 Star because it won’t let me leave less

Did not try food. A mix of ages- type of atmosphere. Not my fave rating. They took my bottle before it was done/empty. Paid $400+ for a high top table. Not worth, it in my opinion. Pay the cover and pregame, babes. XOXO

Without information on the website about dress code. I wasn’t able to attend with the birthday party that I was a part of. I would recommend the company to include the sexist dress code that they have with regards to shorts and tank tops as it was ok for the women in the group to enter dressing in the same attire.

The recent upgrades are nice and all but.... This place forgot to add more restrooms. You spend half your night waiting in line to use the bathroom. Just ridiculous.

Bouncers have little man syndrome. Me & 3 other friends werent allowed in for being heavily tattooed (thats their jobs so yes were all tatted) we were all dressed up so our clothes wasnt the issue.

The people working here, specifically at the entrance are extremely rude! My friends and I experience a horrible time because a young lady decided to treat my friends with a negative attitude and called them names. This whole scandal resulted in security kicking us out instead of address their employee, they treated us horribly. When we were talking to security outside she was at the window sticking her tongue out and laughing. When we asked for her name, no one wanted to give it to us for reviewing purposes. The security was also rude and not trying to help us at all, they were just telling us to get out. This whole situation was unfair & shocking for a place so hyped! if you do decide to go there, be aware of this girl. I’m not sure what her exact position was at this place, but regardless of her position this was very unprofessional! Since we didn’t get her name, we got a picture!!

Take your money anywhere else!!! There last night for our cousin bday celebration, to have “a good time”. Leave it to the old hag at the entrance to try and kill the mood with her shakedown, “cover fee $20 cash or card” on repeat with an attitude . There was no explaining to her we were on the VIP list and also right behind the bday girl. Whether it’s V5 or The Mine all together it’s straight trash/ghetto experience. Beyond unreasonable customer service from the minute you get on “their piece of sidewalk”.

Ive visited this club several times and while the music consistently is great, my experiences with the venue and staff have been terrible. Interactions with the staff, particularly the ticket lady, have often been extremely rude and unpleasant. V5 posted Ladies were free one night and she said that supposedly they don’t work with V5. This is false advertisement. Be prepared for long waits at the bathroom. There are unclear reentry policies that could end up costing you extra. The first night I came here my friend got his phone stolen, and we decided to give it another try. Last time we went, my friends car got broken into and damaged. The people in this club and the surrounding area is just really sketchy so be aware. Id advise future patrons to stay vigilant about their belongings and personal safety due to these concerns.

I asked the bartender to get some salt for my tequila shoots and she was no, you can’t have it. So rude!! It was so crowded that people were pushing each other . Security inside the place was also rude, just the security outside was the most decent there. Good music but the service is one of the worst I have seen in Chicago.

We paid for 5 tickets ahead of time for Moes Fina Fridays whatever tickets with entry to the Mine. The bouncer, Ashley who was working Friday nighy 3/29/24, denied us entry despite already having paid for tickets ahead of time. She seemed to get a kick out of letting drunker people than us into the club, like girls actually stumbling into. Dont go to this club as they do not acknowledge tickets if you purchase ahead of time. Theres so many people that its turns difficult to walk or dance. The musicIts good, especially in the main room. However, if you go as after party as I did, you could find a lot of people there. I lost my friend for a second, and it was difficult to find her, but we anticipated that just in case so we could meet easily. In the end its a good place to party, go with a few people and youll be fine.

I flew in from Florida for a friend’s bday for this place. Unbelievable how this club is run. They gave ladies a hard time who wore flats with bling on it, they turn guys with Jordan shirts on. Worst yet they charged my friend a lot of money for a table of 10 that Seats 4, not only that they charged her guests $20 after she already paid in advance. I tried calling owner and no where to be found. I’m going to contact the BBB on this place. People be aware of this place!

Club could use a good cleaning but as a fellow industry worker i appreciate good service anywhere i go especially in a atmosphere so high volume as this one and the staff is wonderful! Jess the bartender was always available when me and my friends needed anything even with a full bar. You can tell she knew how to hold it down

Everyone that works here is unpleasant. The female security guard that checks bags put my liquor bottles in her pocket instead of throwing them out lol. Very disgusting behavior from the staff, stayed here for 20 minutes and then left to a much better nightclub. The male bartender here is the only nice person you will find. Everyone else is trash especially the security.

Girl security in the girls bathroom made false accusations about me and said I tried to hit her. Of course that never happened but eventually security kicked me out and said they could do nothing about it (after I asked them to show me footage). Never coming here again!!!!!!!!!!

Bartenders with attitude that throw stuff at you, incredible stupid dressing code that makes no sense along with security staff that comes up with catch frases like, I make the rules. If you add all of these things it will give you a mediocre and overprice nightclub. Great music, but so there are 10 mpre places with same music where you wont have to travel across an overcrowdedplace to just go to the bathroom. Only good thing about this place is that it closes late. Go to another place, Itll save you the struggle.

Bruh the organization and layout was frickin dumb, 3 booths in the middle, bathroom all the way in the corner. Waited in line for an hour, they REQUIRE you to coat check at entrance(its $6 BTW) THEN upon exiting we were packed in literally like sardines in a can(wish I was exaggerating) trying TO get to that tiny little 3 person coat check to leave which took another 35 minutes. Horrible experience will NEVER frickin come back dont come here. All of this happened during the bad Bunny after party last night

Worst experience I’ve had. Security guards are the worst. They literally defamed me of my race and make sure not to let me and my friends in and asked us a table and bottle charge of 800$ each bottle and 1000$ for a table. I would recommend different club as we did as we had great fun time at a different place rather than the place we planned for more than 2 weeks in this club.

Try going a few time and they never let me in like why do I need to go with guys to get in I have money I work just wanted to dance yet they don’t let us in for no reason and security so rude drinks are expensive and is dirty inside only low life’s would say is okay here is not I can’t wait to find a good place to just go dance and vibe

I recently visited the Mine Chicago bar with high expectations, but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The entry policies were inconsistent, and despite having a table booking, we were denied entry, being told we needed to meet a minimum bill of 1k or purchase two bottles.The dress code, supposedly enforced, seemed to apply selectively, creating a sense of unfair treatment among patrons. It’s disheartening when establishments fail to maintain consistency in their policies.Furthermore, the staff’s demeanor was less than welcoming. It’s crucial for any establishment to treat its customers with respect, regardless of the circumstances. I hope this review will help others to get away from this.. thank you..

Trash place scammed me out of my money and won’t even admit to it. They simply used their loud noisy environment and my rush to get things done to their advantage and to trick me into spending more than I had wanted. Dirty dirty club with dirty dirty people! I gave 1 instead of 2 stars because it has a big dance area...but always super packed so u cant even move or dance. They have no maximum capacity which can be very dangerous.

Loved this place so much! Can be a bit packed sometimes but the music is always great and its an overall great time! Made friends with a bartender Jess and she was super hospitable and helped me the whole night! Highly recommend in Chicago!

I have been to The Mine once before and i had a great time which is why i returned for my cousins birthday 11/25/23. This is an experience i will never forget, not because of the great music , or the great drink prices, but the staff is what made this experience a 10/10. Paola, Natalia, and Felisha are the beautiful women responsible for making my cousin’s birthday a night to remember. Professionalism at its finest.Paola- (Knowledgeable) you answered every single one of my questions prior to our arrival in great detail to ensure no unexpected surprises occurred. I asked a lot of questions and you were so patient with me and that means so much thank you.Natalia- (Pulchritudinous) & (Compassionate) when bringing up any concerns you checked on me constantly to make sure i was okay, the part that really stuck out to me with you is when we were being relocated to a different area you held my hand as you escorted us through busy areas to make sure I didn’t get lost. If i could give this place zero or negative stars i would, this place SUCKS. absolutely awful place. dirty bathrooms, dirty floor, dirty everything, this place is the worst place ive ever been to im not even gonna lie. all the staff is rude and its strict for no reason considering how nasty it is everywhere. the actual audacity is crazy. my friend got thrown up on and no one cleaned it despite seeing it. another friend got gum in her hair after someone threw it. it stinks everywhere and is just pure rank. overpriced everything just for a terrible experience. do not go here literally a giant waste of money and they kick you out even if youre vip if youre not going to buy more and more overpriced nasty bottles. modern day scammers.

They gave problems to my friends about her coat and harassed her. They wanted to kick her “out” because she was disrespecting the rules about to check in but others did not have to check ins coat. I do not recommend this club at all they are insane here

Worst experience I’ve ever had! A woman randomly assaulted me as I was making my way out of the crowd and of course I had to defend myself and fight back. Security only kicked me out even though I was the victim, and they chose to keep the other girl inside. Me and two other girls kept arguing with security that they kicked out the wrong person while allowing the assaulter stay inside. Security didn’t care one single bit. They kept using the lame excuse that they weren’t there to see everything so they don’t know. And if that’s the case then why not kick everyone out? Maybe they were friends with this girl and that’s why they let her stay inside even though she was in the wrong for randomly assaulting me. Please do not come here. It is not safe. Security will not do anything to help. They don’t take their job serious whatsoever. I had to file a police report since this establishment refuses to do the correct thing.

This place was not welcoming. The lines are fast but the bouncers are discriminatory against who they allow in. Apparently, they have a strict dress code for guys that dont allow ripped jeans, baggy pants, or shorts (even in the summer). After having my guy friend denied for that very reason, it felt like the rules were being made up on the spot. I wouldnt recommend this place if youre looking to have a good time.

The atmosphere of this place was great, but my phone got stolen out of my crossbody bag that i was literally wearing. On my journey to find it, I learned that several other girls had their phones stolen too. I ran into a guy who was holding two phones that weren’t his, and neither of those were mine. The amount of pickpocketing and phone stealing was INSANE.

Despite all of the negative reviews, I went to this club for the first time last night and had an amazing time. I got there around opening time and was very easy to get in. They gave no issues to my husband for wearing Jordans. We were out celebrating his birthday so they gave us two shots on the house! Very good mixture of music I will definitely be back! The only negative was after a certain time, it gets VERY packed making it even harder to move around especially if you have no section. I feel like they can set stricter rules on their capacity. But other than that, it was fun and every one was so nice.

Workers talk smack about you and when you confront them they don’t have nothing to say😭. Cool nightclub but horrible security/workers.

Of course it’s no one else’s but the person’s fault for stealing my phone on my birthday but when I went to ask someone for help to report it to security, I don’t expect much empathy but they basically told me that’s too bad and to step out of the way (more than enough room) so people could come inside. Thanks for not even offering any help at all with trying to report a stolen phone.

This place tries to make money off of overly drunk people. They sold my friends & I 4 shots of what we thought were tequila but was water in reality. We all noticed and the bartender tried to say we were lying and only wanted to replace two of the four shots. Bad attitudes & customer service. Then a man tried to grab my best friends purse off her shoulder but good thing she had a good grip on it. Check your drinks to make sure they’re not ripping you off before you walk away from the bar!!! I have to give one star only because they had good music 🎶

Negative stars. Lame bottle service AND useless bouncers. We booked a table to celebrate a birthday and the bouncer didn’t let one of our guests in EVEN THOUGH we were allowed 4 guests included in the already ridiculously overpriced “table”. All because he was wearing sneakers, but they decided to let orthopedic and gym shoes into the place??The VIP section was dingy and NOT worth the 500+ minimum that was necessary. Try looking for other clubs if you want to celebrate an occasion or get what you paid for because it’s NOT at The Mine

I’ve been here twice maybe more in the past. I’ve noticed some bartenders charge more than others. I had the Hispanic lady by the entrance downstairs charge me more for WATER than the guy upstairs. And it’s happened other times with other drinks. She also had the tip amount adjust to 15%. Without allowing the customer to decide to give cash tips. Please have your bartenders not swindle the customers for extra money. Just like any other place of business it unethical. Ppl come out to have a good time, not be swindled by unethical staff. Ppl were chest to chest with little to no space and a guy with a sweaty shirt walking around getting sweat on others.

Never have I ever felt more discriminated in a place like the Mine. I was pulled twice out of the line for my black dress pants when every guy had black dress pants but they were fine? $30 to get in and no AC? BFFR. When I was waiting on my ride later on it was raining and I was trying to stay in dry area but the security had no job that night but to follow me along the block to make sure I wasn’t standing by the “property”. Disgusting place

I had already spent $100 in drinks + 60 to enter. I didnt have even 1 hour in there, went out to smoke and they didnt let me in anymore neither gave me my money back. The security guard was yelling at everybody also, dont go to this place NEVER.

Police at the door pats everyone down, so I felt safe in there. Lots of staff and security watching the crowds from all angles. As a girl, I felt safe in here and a lot of clubs don’t do that honestly. Music was mostly reggaeton, and in the smaller room they were also playing corridos y rancheras too.

The security in the front need manners, I’m walking in minding my business and they were all standing there cracking jokes about me after one gentleman told me happy birthday, I’m not sure what they found funny? That was my first impression walking into this club and I walked into bad vibes for no reason, I will be speaking to management later. I almost asked them if they wanted to tussle cuz they had me Fuked up, he getting spat on next time:) anyway Hire better security but the rest of the staff was very helpful tough.

This place is terrible. I was looking for a Latin club to go to on my birthday and decided on this one because it was nearby. I was wearing a sash and birthday crown so it was obvious to everyone that it was my birthday (this is relevant to the story which I will later explain). The minute we stepped in I was overwhelmed by how packed it was. There was no room to walk. No joke everyone was squeezing through, bodies against each other, like nothing I’d ever seen before. You could barely breathe and there was absolutely no room to converse or dance. Me and my friends waited in line to use the bathroom and it was taking so long. I was starting to trip and fall IN A BATHROOM LINE. There were several workers in that restroom area and they did not control the line at all. Instead, this employee (who I found out later is named ERIC) started letting big groups of random girls who he chose out of the line to skip to the front. Never have I seen such a thing for a bathroom line… I kept falling over because everyone was pushing trying to get through. I was annoyed and literally felt like I was going to pass out because of how packed it was. Then Eric and his coworker Joanna began to scream at me. Joanna said “Why are you pushing!” I explained that I was tripping over people and then questioned why Eric was picking random people to skip to the front of the line. Eric then said “Nah I’m gonna ruin this b*tch birthday real quick! Real quick.” Both Joanna and Eric laughed. Joanna responded, “get this b*tch out”. Eric grabbed my shoulders to turn me away and I told him not to touch me. He had absolutely no reason to touch me or talk to me that way. I walked out of that place immediately. I felt unsafe walking in the building and unsafe under the supervision of the staff members. The fact that those comments were made by employees who are supposed to be controlling lines, making a safe walk way and keeping it professional is absolutely disgusting. They were trying to cause a scene and make people laugh. Ironically everyone in line was confused at what had just happened and not a single person found their comments to be amusing. On my way out there were several girls physically fighting and groups of people had to pull them apart from each other. I came there to have a good time for my birthday and it was completely ruined after my experience here. I wish I didn’t spend my time and money on this place. 0/5 stars. It is packed, overpriced, unsafe and super trashy. I will never return or recommend this place to anyone.

The go to club when I’m in town. Always a great experience, thanks to Carlos, Javi, and Kevin that always take care of me and my party. Gym shoes have been worn in the past and was told that wasn’t allowed. Since then my party dresses to impress. As long as you have the proper dress attire, youll be let in to have a great time with all types of music rooms !

Been here a few times but just recently went and talked with Arely and she is literally the sweetest and most beautiful girl there. Can’t believe she’s not a bottle service girl. Really wish she was because I would definitely go every time and get a bottle service from her.

We had reservations...they still let people who didnt have reservations before us lmaoo. Still had to pay $20 even though our whole group didnt have to pay. They were being very rude to people who still had nice shoes but not nice enough. One of the bouncers said he only let people in if hes in a good mood. The table we sat at barely can fit 4 people and expected us to fit 10 people. *OVERLY EXPENSIVE* for no reason. The workers are just on their phones whole time. Security here is terrible please be safe girls! They threw me out for being to drunk (dragged out by my hair) they wouldn’t let any of the people I came with follow me, threw me on the street and 6 men proceeded to try to shove me in their car. Really disappointed security is supposed to make sure you are safe !

Security. That word means something. You should feel secure and comfortable. The security at this night club did not make me feel this way. They are grown insecure bullies. I went there to meet a friend and all they did was try to bully me. Luckily Im a calm and mature man to brush this behavior off. Overpriced nightclub. Music was great, and the bartender that took care of me was professional.

The venue itself is nice, however the security is very unprofessional, rude and seem to enjoy going on power trips when interacting with customers. Management does not prove to helpful when it comes to locating lost items. Yes, I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to keep track of my items, however when said item is still physically in the venue and can be proven through a GPS locator. It makes it hard to believe there claim that said item was never located. With that being said my personal item is still in the venue.

Was excited to try this place but ended up being a joke. The bouncer said “he picks and chooses who goes in based on his mood” he also told one of the guys with us to “try to look presentable” even though all of us were dressed up. Like who says that?? He made rude comments the whole time and ruined the mood. $1300 for two tiny bottles. We could barely fit at our “vip” table. Lmao. This is the first and last time we ever go here. Then the security was kicking most of our group out or the regular line for wearing gym shoes, timberlands and no button up shirts. It was terrible. Me and my family came all the way from out of town for my aunts birthday and we just wanted to have a good time. We were not allowed in because we were told that we had to wear dress shoes/ heels but as we were being sent away they let a lot of Hispanic people in and they were also wearing sneakers like we are . When we asked why the other people were allowed in with sneakers but we weren’t they told us that the others didn’t have sneakers on. We then pointed the people out that had the sneakers on and then we were told “Well we didn’t realize that they had sneakers on” and still were sent away even though they let the other people in.

This place was disorganized I came for my cousins 21st birthday and they completely ruined it ! The bottle girl that was serving 04/09/2023 was terrible. She tried kicking out the of the people in my party trying to accuse him of touching her when it was nothing like that at all he was trying to get her out of his way and she took it a completely different way. Bottle girls not everything is trying to touch you ! I will never come here ever again. Terrible service and terrible experience!!!

Was there with a big group to celebrate a bday on 3/18 hoping to get a table. They changed the minimum spending on bottles once we got there. Coat check ended up misplacing my jacket and gave up after 2 hours waiting. Chris tucker looking security had power trips

I just went to the Halloween party on 10/28/23. It was trash.. a bunch of minors where in there. The place was illegally over crowded. Some random girl was beating up a security guard. They literally have the worst people in there.

The mine music hall did such a great job in our table ! It was my husbands birthday ! I was extremely impressed! How any little empty cup or small used shot glass was immediately removed and cleaned after being used , hard working staff and very polite .We had an incident with the table that later that night sat next to us . A woman kept pushing and continued to kick my friend that was sitting next to her(the woman was annoying and clearly trying to harass my friend . We spoke to one of the employees and proceeded to fix the issue and moved the other guest to an other table ! How wonderful !Very clean organized place .I do wish they were more bathrooms but other thn that I’m extremely happy to spend my husbands birthday in the mine music hall .

Overpriced and most importantly the owner and the security is horrible. My group came in requesting a table. They told us 1200 for two bottles- awesome, we got in the table service line and as they were checking us in they switched it to 2k for only two bottles AND then they wanted to charge us cover on top of that. Very unprofessional with how they communicated with us and decided to change the price when half of the group was already checked in and unaware. Why change the price when it was a set rate??? The owner was there and he was telling us to stop talking to him when no one was arguing- very rude and unprofessional. NOT HOW YOU HANDLE BUSINESS. anyways, we should’ve known better- everytime we have came in the past it has been a bad experience. Save your money and go to MOES. Same type of music and drinks are way better plus everyone is more professional and will assist you right away.

The security singled me and my girlfriend out twice. First they made me change my shirt because they said graffic shirts weren’t allowed but they let other people before and after me in with graffic tee’s in. Then they only let “more attractive” people in, I’ve never been so humiliated in my life.

I showed at 10:30 and they charged 20 for me as I walked in with two girls. Then when we showed the promo they challenge us and said we had to talk to a manager... V5 should say something, I have had a great time at other V5 events hosted by them in tunnel and Moes CantinaWe ordered Margaritas with Don Julio for $17, and the bartender literally mixed have a shot of Don Julio with a rail shot of tequila. They call themselves a Latin bar, but they only play Bad Bunny and Karol G. And a time we were going back-and-forth and they were only playing hip-hop. I didn’t hear J Balvin, Maluma, any sort of Reggaeton with taste all night. What a complete rip off.The Mine. Just moved here from SD California so I think I have good taste in Latin Clubs, I arrived with two Colombian friends and we were not happy.

The security here is insanely disrespectful. They took my $40 for cover, and then proceeded to put hands on me for asking why their bouncers werent letting my girlfriend through security. Even though I never raised my voice or disrespected anyone. Its very clear that the people here have Napoleon complexes and get a rush from treating people like trash. Had a great experience at this club had some friends from out of town and they loved the experience. We got greeted at the door by Carlos, Javier and Kevin and that was the beginning of our awesome experience at The Mine. We where seated and set up with a booth and we enjoyed the drinks and the music , we had a blast.

Heard about the Mine from a friend and it did not disappoint. The music was great and had a great time. The security at the door, Javi and Carlos, were friendly and even though my guy friend was not dressed to the code they let them in. Would recommend.

Checked in my coat on Saturday night and forgot to take it back. They dont open till Friday I went there to pick up my coat had the ticket and everything but they dont know where my coat is. So whats the point of checking in coat so we dont loose it. When you still loose it after checking in safely

Not going to lie, I was a little hesitant to go because of all the bad reviews, but like everyone else I still went. First of all, bouncers outside were okay, but security inside was super nice. Once we went inside it was super packed and my friend and I didn’t know where to go. Once we found a spot the music was great and everyone was having a good time. Overall it was a good place to go dance. However, I’m giving this place 3 stars because the blonde female bartender was super rude. It was like she didn’t want to give my friend and I drinks. Mind you we were very respectful. The thing that really made me upset was when she was pouring the beer into the cup and she spilled it all on my friend’s hand. She didn’t even say sorry, or replaced the beer, or nothing! Her attitude was also very bad and this really ruined the night. They need to talk to their bartenders, if working in an environment like that makes them mad then look for something else to do!

Not sure why people leave negative comments but do not I repeat do not believe them!! I had my birthday party there and everyone had a blast. Everyone asked me what is this place because they love it!!! I worked with Melissa to plan the party and she was amazing! She even offered me to text her the pictures of the outfits to ensure my guests and I will follow the dress code. Not that’s the customer service that is going above and beyond! I will definitely return very soon!

Fell down the stairs because they were soaked ...took off my heels to avoid slippery conditions and I was told to put them back on. Slippery conditions were not a problem of security...but my shoes being off was.

This place had us wait in the long line even though we had a reservation. However, once a few people came who also had reservations (who looked rich, rocking designer stuff) they let them straight in and cut the entire line. They had the same VIP that we did. On top of that it was a $10 cover and then charged me and my bf $20 each, but our other friends $10. They also forced us to give out our jackets to put away for $ even though it was a part of my outfit and not a jacket. They were just inconsistent, rude, and terrible all around. Theres no way Im stepping in this establishment again.

The security staff began scrutinizing my friend and I before we even fully stepped out of our Uber. We were there to celebrate my friend’s engagement. He was also wearing shoes that looked like they came from the clearance rack at JC Penny, so I think he needs to take a look in the mirror before criticizing people who were wearing cute and highly practical shoes for dancing (which people do at REAL night clubs). I was very excited to try this place for the first time but we had to many mishaps for me to give this place higher then two stars.issue number 1: We reserved a table for our birthday friend and received a text message saying we would get in for free. We showed the text message to the front desk lady and she said no that it doesn’t apply because we did not buy a bottle. Okay that would of been perfectly fine if they would of told us that which they didn’t (I still have the text messages) we decided to show the rest of the text messages that say we still get in for free before 11:30, she said nope it still doesn’t apply because it’s Halloween. that also would of been fine IF the text messages mentioned that, but they literally said free this weekend. Most definitely false advertising.Issue number 3: this place has three rooms, was at mass capacity (could barely walk around) and they only had one bathroom. Most clubs have at least two.Issue number 4: glass bottles dropped on the floor and people were stepping on them. We tried to go to the bar to warn someone but as mentioned before we could barely walk anywhere because they were at mass capacity, it took us about 20 minutes to get to anyone and by then they were busy taking orders so we figured (prayed) someone took care of it.Of course as someone who works in the entertainment industry, I understand that some things are inevitable. Such as overcrowding, delay in drink service, and full bathroomS. But some things cannot be overlooked.Some things we did like: the music! They pretty much played the same type of music in every room, but the music was still good so it didn’t even matter. The place is also gorgeous inside.Thank you.

First off the womens bathrooms only have about 6 stalls , and of course there is going to be a long line..the music to my taste wasnt what i expected .the DJ kept repeating the same songs. the place gets extremely crowded and there is barely any room to dance or pass through also one of my friends wanted to go outside and when she wanted to go back inside we had to wait 30 min in line again!? they wouldnt let us back in right away. according to the bouncer!? what kind of club doesnt let you in and out?

First we reserved 2 booths in the vip orders 6 bottles spent over $2k . The service we received was awful, let’s start with the security, very rude from the reception stand all the way through to the vip and especially the bathroom security ,Very rude . We weren’t allowed outside to smoke cigarettes, We all had to wait over 4 hours before they let us out to smoke. I will say the bathroom attendants were very nice and should train all the staff on how to treat and talk to customers. VIP security was nice but at times let anyone into the vip section we had drunk random people sitting in are sections and waitresses taking full glasses of alcohol off the table. We had people spilling there drinks over the divider wall and spilling all over are guests. Just a very bad experience for us all. We definitely will not be returning.

Had a blast! My hospitality friends and I went on a Friday and were so impressed! The door people and security were super nice and let us in complimentary with our industry ID. We all had a very long week and needed to let some steam off, and boy, did we. :) The drinks were delicious, the music was dope and the crowd was so much fun. Absolutely no drama, which is way different than what Transit was. Lol Thank you all for such an amazing time! Going back tomorrow, just waiting on my text for the party I booked. I had called a day before for the free birthday package you guys do. From reading reviews and from personal experience, Im able to say that they play favoritism, mainly based on race and looks, with customers.Ive personally never had issues with the bouncers. The lady which charges cover always has an attitude (would recommend signing up for texts to get free or reduced entrance). And the bartenders charge inconsistently.The inside is pretty nice. It gets crowded at times but theres plenty of rooms to check out and the music is pretty good. Best Latin music Ive found in Chicago.

Getting a hold of this place is impossible, not because their busy they just don’t answer your , text, calls & emails. They Only replied twice for a group reservation of 20 ppl. When I tried getting more information on bottle service no one was ever available. Once getting to the club, told us that if we don’t do a minimum of 2 bottles we lose our table. We ordered 2 bottles ……2 hours later got kicked out from our table “ because we weren’t ordering and there’s a two hour limit” to give to someone else! They should really inform you if that’s their policy. Never did they tell us we had to keep ordering bottles in order to keep our table. Very disappointed on management since they didn’t care when I brought to their attention.

I paid to spend new years eve there. I arrived 1 hour before 12am, and they had a huge line. Around 300 people waiting in line. I waited for 45 minutes. The line barely move 2 meters. Their security guards must be the slowest in the planet on top of already having fame of being rude. Even if I had arrived 2 hours earlier I still wouldnt have made it to the door. I had to leave and wasted my money.

Just realized this place is actually Transit!!! Had one of the worst experiences at a nightclub ever..when I booked a huge party for my brothers birthday. (I had been coming there for years..) On the night of the event I couldnt get thru to the VIP guy I had been talking to for 2 weeks. When I got to the door..with all the papers to show the doorman, we werent allowed in. Later we found out they turned away all the Black guests with invitations and let in all the White guests with the same invite, only for them to get inside and see No one for the Birthday party was there. Younger people may have patience for this..but if youre a seasoned partier with Significant Money to spend..Go ANYWHERE ELSE!!! (From the reviews..the name has changed but the God Aweful attitudes and Ghastly service have remained the Same.)

I went yesterday 02/24. I’ve been in Chicago since August and this is the worst place for i’ve been for sure. They didn’t let us enter with boots, I asked to make a complain and they were so disrespectfull and were laughing at me. For sure I will never return to this place, and for sure i will never recommend it to anyone.

Predatory practices. Beware of predatory men waiting to buy young women drinks. A friend was roofied and taken to ambulance on May 9th, 2022. Man in question was foreign white male, can provide additional descriptive factors if asked- blue eyes, stature, what they were wearing. When asked guard to take a look, he was receptive up until I pointed this individual out. Can name guard if needed. It was incredibly traumatizing and only one good man truly helped us out. Staff is poorly trained. Possibly in cahoots with this type of behavior. They should be investigated and/or shut down.

This place was very very VERY unprofessional with HORRIBLE costumer service. We were told we could have unlimited amount of people upon making VIP reservations, but when we arrived, the “bouncers” wouldn’t even let us in because they didn’t allow big parties at VIP. We asked if we could just go in like everyone else and skip VIP, but even then they wouldn’t let us in because we were already “rowdy”. Well I’m sorry, but when you have a reservation and you’re not even apologetic or professional about how you say “No” to your costumers, they’re going to get rowdy.** In responde to your feedback : if your front door men would have been polite and offered good costumer service, our party wouldn’t have been upset about anything. The point of a reservation is to advise and confirm with the business that you would have a spot for us. If you would have been honest and told us you couldn’t accommodate a big party, we wouldn’t have even considered to go there. I was the one that presented our party with the doormen and I was not intoxicated, billigerent or violent by any means and they were very dry and rude from the get go. Again, if your door men would have handled the situation better being that it was a mistake on your end, none of that would have happened. We went to a different club and caused no problems, no safety concerns & were a threat to no one. Teach your employees the golden rule & im sure you wouldn’t have these problems.

This place is by far one of the best my clubs in the city of Chicago. I had my birthday party over there and it was by far the best setup I have ever experienced. The music was perfect the crowd was perfect the atmosphere was perfect. Definitely recommend bottle service it was an amazing set up. Definitely go check out Tommy he make some killer drinks. If you run into any issues as for Melissa she is the manager there and she can make anything happen. Prejudice prices from door staff. Me and my friend were over charged $10 each. I know this because every person ahead and behind us paid the normal price.

I personally never like to write bad reviews as I used to be in the industry myself, but I cant believe the customer service that I received. I came out for a friends birthday and all the service inside the club was great so I dont want to harp on them. What ruined my night was that door/stamp man (mid 50s Caucasian male with a mustache), bouncer (Hispanic male in his 20s), and another security guard (mid 50s african american male) checking ids scammed me into paying double for admission. I had my had stamped and went to go smoke periodically. At approximately 130 in the morning before the time change they all of the sudden didnt remember seeing me and told me that my hand stamp was from another club. I wasnt confrontational trying to explain myself when I was aggressively told me to pay or get out. I paid the admission woman for the 2nd time and went to go get my friends. On my way out I had my hand stamped on the opposite hand and wouldnt you know it was the exact same stamp. Dont waste your time here people. I was the designated driver so I can only imagine how many drunk people they scam. I even took pictures for proof

The venue inside is pretty nice. There are 3 dance rooms at the Main floor was pretty packed. They were strict at checking bags and using the metal detector. The floor has a few holes but other than that it was ok.

How sad is it that you go out with your Spanish friends to the mines and they let them in but tell you you can’t get in because of what??? You’re black. Very disappointed at this place it’s 2017. If the managers of this place don’t want black people coming there please put it on your flyers so that people don’t drive out there. On the record my 3 friends from the same group couldn’t get in but the other two who happen to be Hispanic were allowed to enter and this was our first time there being that we love Latin songs. It’s disheartening and a disgrace. Ruined the whole night for my Hispanic friends since they invited us because of the embarrassment. Chicago is a very diverse place for this sort of nonsense to happen.

Racist and lacks of good management. The manager named Melissa confronted us as we were walking out, asked if we had a problem and called us immigrants because we’re Hispanic. She prohibited us from leaving the building and called the cops. If I could rate zero stars I would. Totally unprofessional of the manager to scream at us both at the exit and outside across the street of the venue. I don’t recomend this place.

Last year my phone got stolen from my purse. I stopped going there for some time. Last night I decided to go again...my phone was stolen AGAIN. It’s crazy! I’ve been to other bars, clubs and this never happens.I think securities should check out the people who just stands there in the middle of the dance floor. My favorite place to be after a long week. The ambiance is amazing , the staff are very friendly and helpful, and great bartenders, the drinks are always delicious. The best place for a good night, all kind of crowded and they close very late. I have been coming here for over 10 years and every time is wonderful. The club used to be better but it’s only gone down hill. Bouncer always on power trip. Depending on the night you might be let in or not.

What is the point of making a reservation???? I am willing to pay money at this place and my guests still have to wait in a line that may take an hour- two hours???? What is point of a reservation...... this place disappointed me for my bday. 6of my guests went home bc these pol would not let them in. They had to wait in line in order to get in my reservation.. ridiculous.

Went to this club to have a good time i used their valet service to park my car . When im about to leave they bring my car with a big scratch on the front bumper!!!!! Now the valet are not trying to take responsibility for that! Been trying to call the valet # and they just don’t respond ! Make sure you take pictures of your car before you use their valet service!

Security guards are jrotc who never left high school they don’t know how to manage a crowd and get high off being security love yelling people for no reason, complete weirdos definitely don’t recommend

If I could give this club zero stars I would. Went out with my friend for her birthday and the bouncers at the door were very rude wouldn’t even let us in. They claimed we came on a party bus which we did not and they kicked us out of the line. Mind you we were standing in line for a very long time and it was freezing outside. Please don’t even waste your time!!!!!

I went there for my birthday and the service since the begging was the worst this host lady so unprofessional the place is nice dont get me wrong, but I wouldnt recommend it for special occasions the host team is so unorganized I would never have an event with them the money they ask for is not worth it for the kind of service they give.

What happened to transit?? I loveddd that they had hip hop reggeaton Banda bachata Cumbia etc....I went on a Sunday for (Memorial Day weekend)... it wasn’t like it use to be. There was only 2 rooms... * Banda & reggeaton* idk what happened to the top dance floor (they had it closed)... I felt like there was nothing but old people there lmfao... idk I guess I’m gunna have to give it a try on a Friday or Saturday. As of right now I’m kind of ehhh about it and I miss transit 😣Update: it was definitely because I went on a Sunday lol.... went on Saturday and it was “LIT” haha. 🤗

This place can do better for the amount of people and space, my suggestions:-Add more restrooms, too many people for only one-Reduce the cover fee, 40$ is not worth it-hire a good dj, music was bad-drinks overpriced for not reason

Didn’t get let in because we were dropped off by a party bus, security didn’t give us much explanation to as of why. We had a reservation for a table and a bottle but they didn’t care very unprofessional.

Dont bother making VIP Reservations, you will be told it is for unlimited people and once you show up they will not let your party come in because it is too big for VIP. Too many discrepancies between the bouncers & the reservation coordinators. Bottom line: waste of time.

I was getting a drink for my cousin and I when a guy got mad and swung on me so they kicked me out because I was part of a “fight” when I was just defending myself. They wouldn’t let me back in to get my stuff so we’ll see what happens.

Worst place ever paid a grand for a VIP table bought 3 bottles only for some random dudes to come and sit at our table. When we complained we got kicked out what’s the point in paying for a service if your not gonna get it the entire night. Will defiantly not be going back. Spend your money somewhere else there are plenty of clubs out there!

Smaller set Spanish club. Highly recommend if you’re into the dark vibes, dance floor & a room full of people trying to enjoy themselves!

This is hands down one of the best nightclubs in Chicago! The sound is amazing and they have three rooms of music to choose from! I would definitely recommend attending The Mine Music Hall whenever youre in Chicago!

I was charged 20 when everyone else was charged 10 I ask why and lady did not want to answer. I was there with three females one was not allowed in asked for a refund and was denied. wth really disappointed with the disrespect here

This place sucks! Lame DJs kept playing the same songs over and over again in the two main rooms downstairs. The third room upstaires was way to packed. The club size is too small.

Terrible service a waiter came and took the ice bucket from us to give it to one of his friends to vomit in it and left the bucket on the floor with the vomited and we still had not finished consuming and he only came supposedly to pick up he said that he would bring us more water because we asked for it and he never brought it, we paid to have a table and it is not fair how they treat consumers, anyone would have been upset by that act of that waiter.

This club is really horrible and downright racist if I may say.First of all I booked a party with Melissa who am guessing is the party planner and I spoke to her 2 days prior to confirm the reservation only to get there and find out our party wasn’t booked.Then secondly the bouncers or security were very rude and unprofessional.They kept saying no flats but they let in people of other races..not African American in with gym shoes and open toed sandals and flats when they wouldn’t let me and my party in because we weren’t dressed according to the dress code on their stupid website.Its a horrible place and I would advice people to take their business elsewhere.And since the owner has a dumb ass response,my party made another reservation under the name Vanessa for 15 guests and when I spoke to Melissa days prior she said we were good to go but couldn’t get in under that name.
