One of the best bars in Lincoln Park. I had a birthday party here and the accommodations and assistance they gave to plan it all was exceptional. Everything was decorated perfectly, and nothing beats having a party while the turtles are racing! Amazing atmosphere and Kelly the bartender is the best!!!! 100% recommend The Tin Lizzie’s for your next event or just to come hangout!

Came here for the musical night.The ambience was nice. I like the blue fairy lights hanging down. A lot of Detroit Lions decor.Tables on both side and the 3 performers walked in the middle. The singers were better than I expected! They mainly stay in the inside of the restaurant but they also walked to the bar area where there were some more tables. One of them engaged with every table while she sang. The male singer could be a lot better if he didn’t leave the mic so close to his mouth.There were trivia games in between performances. So you were not listening to musical songs the whole time.The ticket ($65) includes one drink and one food item. The choices were pizza and chicken tenders. Food was okay. It’s a little pricey. Glad the singers were good though.Metered street parking outside.

I’ve been here for a few days and this is by far this most illogical situation I hate to miss. Live turtles, ninja turtles, and Michigan themed everything. This was a win and the booze is cheap.Can’t wait to venture on my next crawl bar or turtle and paint the night like Raphael did.

Not big on the weekend crowds so I went on a Sunday. They open the place up when it is nice out so there is great light with nice music. They have great drink specials. Its an ideal bar close to DePaul. The service was excellent. Great for a low key drinking spot during the week.

Kelly, Jen, Kay Kay the bartenders are phenomenal! Great assets to the bar. They deserve raises! This is my new hotspot for drinks and a great time! After tonight I will NEVER BUY OR DRINK A Drink HERE EVER AGAIN. THE BEST PLACE TO DRINK IS GASLIGHT. I never come back here ever again

Used to visit when Joe was the bartender there, there was a great atmosphere and being there during the turtle races was fun! Went by one time and I dont know what happened. It wasnt the same and I never saw the usual guys who frequent the bar late at night.

Cute little sports bar in Lincoln Park area. It’s all decorated and they have nice tab beers. They also have cans and bottles.It’s mainly a bar, so you won’t find much of food items here. But they do serve pizzas, hot dogs and chips.There are lots of TVs available so you can enjoy your favorite sport with a glass of chilled beer with your friends.

We came in for a few drinks today and Brianna, our bartender, was amazing! Shes got the best personality, is super fun and makes GREAT drinks! By far the best bartender we have had! Atmosphere is cool and the food is great too. We will definitely be back!

Turtle Races are what’s up right now. $40 per person to drink as much as you want. There’s games… people bid on what turtle we think will win. It’s a great time! The staff is one of the friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered. They were so great!

Bar none the best bar for Detroit Sports in Chicago. I would actually argue its hard to find an atmosphere as good as this for Lions games in the whole state of Michigan. The decor is awesome and the staff is top notch. Leilani and Sam were the regular Bartenders in our section this season and they are amazing at balancing attentiveness with friendliness. It makes you eager to come back and frequent again. If you are visiting or have recently moved here for work, definitely check it out. Youll love it!

I was in Chicago visiting and we needed a good Lions bar. Tin Lizzies wasnt my first choice but ended up being a great environment! Our server Erin was very nice too! I would recommend but Im not sure I understand the concept of turtles racing each other?

I had the best experience at The Tin Lizzie! The atmosphere was fun and lively, and I was immediately greeted by an amazing bartender, Erin. She helped me sort out what drink would be best for me and truly helped my experience start off on an amazing note. The rest of the night was awesome: drinks were amazing, music was great, and the staff were all wonderful. Ill be back again!

Loved my time here through the Lions Playoff run. Would’ve only been better if the Lions didn’t Lion. Sophia’s service was impeccable this week and Erin’s last week, along with all the staff during the craziness. Cannot wait to be back for some turtle races and more Detroit sports.

Listen and listen well. If you ever have 40ish dollars in your pocket and you want a fun time you won’t remember but you will feel the next day. Than this is an investment like buying Disney stock or coca-cola stock when it first went live cause you’ll feel like a king. Also, they have turtle races and if your turtle wins you get a free shot! Great Detroit sports bar with turtle races, cheap drinks, and good bar food.This is always a great spot to come and watch any Detroit sports game or MSU games. Crowd is made up of young 20s but the staff is always really nice and keeps the drinks coming out quickly.

I’ve been coming here for years for MSU and Lions games. The atmosphere this season has been off the charts and I gotta give it to my girl, Erin, for keeping our glasses full! She’s the best!

You can search high and low in this city and you’d be hard pressed to find another establishment with as much character as Tin Lizzie’s. A cool and refreshing Miller Lite tastes better when the Lions are playing, the turtles are racing, or the friendly staff (specifically Erin) is chatting with you while you sit at the bar. I can’t think of no other way I’d rather spend my hard earned money.

As a group of people in their 30s we were worried to hit the Turtle Races here as it is notoriously a college-aged event.If you’re reading this and having the same doubts- just do it. It was a fantastic night. Buy your tickets ahead of time to assure yourselves a table. $40 for all you can drink and some snacks. Hard to get a better deal than that. And the actual turtle races were a blast.

Was here for the Lions vs 49ers game and it was a great time. Erin was our server and she was super nice and attentive. Would definitely recommend coming here for a big game!

Leilani and Sam were our primary bartenders and servers throughout the whole NFL/Detroit Lions season and playoffs. They were both so great and treated us very well. Even when the place was totally slammed they always made a point to check on us and remained calm and polite. I would always recommend the Tin Lizzie along with Leilani and Sam!

I come in here every once in awhile with my girlfriends and we love when Brianna is our bartender! Not only is she sociable but so cute and friendly! Will definitely be coming back!

What they are charging for a seat to watch the game is absurd. The Irish bar wanted 800 bucks for a table top! They were selling every seat!! Ill stay at Cafillac Jacks and enjoy my free seat and big screens.

We had a large group that went to the turtle races on a Saturday, the entire group had a blast. There was a bit of a mix up with our reservation and we were able to resolve the issue rather quickly. Staff member Kelly went above and beyond to make sure the group had a great time. Great drink deals. We will definitely be going back soon.

I would like to give kudos the manager, Kelly. My group bought tickets individually instead of together and didnt have a table close to the turtle racing/food to start. Without us even asking, Kelly saw our group in the front and went above and beyond and to get us a table in the back. She checked in during the course of the night to ensure everything was smooth for us.While our group was playing a board game, she asked if she could take a boomerang video for the social media. I really love the fact that she asked for our permission beforehand and thought it was very professional of her to do so.The few groups near us who had birthdays/bachelorette groups, etc. She made a fun experience for them with confetti poppers and sparklers.Overall, Kelly is a fantastic manager and really made for a fun night. If Kelly is the manager for when you buy your tickets, I would highly recommend this place. She was kind, professional, and had a great attitude that was contagious among the patrons.My group went with the 6-9 timeframe which I was a little skeptical of since it was earlier in the night and didnt know how the vibes would be. But it turned out to be a good amount of people, and the food wasnt bad. I would highly recommend buying the tickets together for the 6-9. The best bang for your buck. ....and of course the turtle races were fun

We signed up for an all inclusive free drinks and food which sounded pretty good for $40. We got all the drinks we wanted with a push but there was no food provided.The turtles were fun but I think four races is a bit much with everyone being drunk come the second race.

We drove all the way from St Louis just for the turtle races here and we’re not disappointed. It was such a fun atmosphere with a lot of tongue and cheek humor surrounding the races. The bartenders were super professional and quick. It seemed like the bar had thought of everything to make this such a fun experience. The only thing I would suggest is to book less people in the bar. It was so packed it almost felt like you couldn’t move and honestly made me nervous that if there was a fire or emergency people would get hurt or killed trying to evacuate. There was no way it was under fire code limits.

If you’re offered pizza chips and drinks for 40 dollars. It would be awesome if you got chips or pizza. Definitely aimed at younger crowds. Expect to wait in line if you reserve ahead of time. If you have a reservation and they are busy you’ll probably get a table but not necessarily.Turtle races themselves were very fun. but who enjoys being misled

Tin Lizzie was such a joy to visit on my one weekend getaway of the year. Bryan was so much fun and made me feel so comfortable when trying to decide what to drink. His exciting energy was so contagious that there is NO way you could be around him without smiling and laughing!Highly recommended! I’d give 10 stars if I could!

This place is so fun and welcoming, Ashley does a top-notch job behind the bar! But if you are looking for an extra fun time, make sure to stop by on Wednesday nights at 10 for karaoke. The MC Agata makes it 10x more fun than your average karaoke bar experience.

I was very excited to go to Tin Lizzies for turtle racing. We made table reservations well in advance, which boasts unlimited drinks and pizza. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing compared to these promises. We arrived early to make the most of our reservation, only to find that we were given half of the chairs compared to the number of people in our reservation (and were informed rather rudely by the staff that our reservation included a table, but did not guarantee chairs). We were able to get drinks rather quickly from the bar, but pizzas were not served until over halfway through the event, and we had to ask to even get 2 tiny pizzas for the 4 of us - it was by no means unlimited. It can be a fun environment if youre planning to go to a crowded bar and get some snacks and drinks with your reservation, but was not at all what we expected based on advertising.

Sad to be leaving a negative review, but unfortunately the experience I had was very unpleasant. I was so excited to see my first ever turtle race in Chicago, but it was such a poor experience overall. They accepted $80 from me, but there was no seating available. When I asked for my money back so I can go somewhere else that could accommodate me, they said “It was against their policy to give money back” when I literally gave them cash 1 minute before. Why would they take money from someone when they were maxed out on their capacity? Also, I was told that their races start at 6 pm, and I should be able to see at least 2 out of 4 turtle races before I left for the night (I had to leave at 8pm), but the races did not start until after I left, so never even saw a single turtle race. What a waste of my money!!! On top of that the service was rude. Not a single smile from the servers. Part of the money paid was for unlimited pizza and drinks, but the pizza is basically cheap frozen pizza (and you will barely get one pan because they are so busy). One pearl, I will say that it did have a fun atmosphere… I just wish they treated their customers with respect, didn’t lie to me about the services and turtle race timing, and gave proper service. It was shocking how terribly they treated me. Hopefully it was just a bad night for them…

If youre a Detroit Lions fan in Chicago, this is THE bar to watch them on Sundays. Incredible staff that caters to us crazy fans. Ownership/ management are just as passionate about our Lions, so it makes us feel right at home. Oh, and the chicken tenders are the best in the world

Tin Lizzie is the place to be on Sundays if you’re a Lions fan. The environment is impeccable and the staff is amazing… They take great care of the Pride. Also, the food / drinks are top notch.

Really recommend Tuesday night trivia night! Awesome vibes and awesome (but difficult) trivia, especially if you haven’t seen the Harry Potter movies.

Took 3 of my friends REAL IDs and kept them from them until we threatened to call the police and they finally gave them back to us. They invited us in afterwards and we decided to go elsewhere. Would understand if it were one mistake, but THREE people? If they were a good bar, they would have a scanner to verify IDs instead of having two teenagers denying people entry.

The manager, Benjamin, is a true hero! He went above and beyond to ensure that a patron was reunited with their valuables. I hope the establishment recognizes and rewards his amazing efforts!

Love this bar! Besides the great specials you can’t get anywhere else in Chicago, they have one of the best servers hands down. Kelley anticipated everything I needed and wanted during my experience. She goes above and beyond! Will be back soon!

Environment is electric I can never wait to come back to their Turtle Racing event! The girl in charge of the info center and answering phones has been the MOST helpful customer service rep I have ever experienced - and I work in customer service. 10/10 would recommend everything about this place!

The general manager is probably the rudest person i have ever met. don’t go into restaurant business if you hate talking to people. absolutely awful to customers.the boy mananger deserves a raise he was so respectful and helpful. everyone else on the staff was gonna beat me up

The Bar Tender, Iron Grip Mike, is a G. Great bar, great vibes, highly recommend for anyone looking to get lit anyday of the week. Mike works Sundays so those are the best days.

Stopped in for a Sunday beer. Being a Michigander I enjoyed the sports décor. It had a nice selection of beers and the staff was great.

I WILL NEVER GO BACK. We rented out the bar 2-5pm for a friends birthday. It was a good drink deal and we had a great time, however, when our deal was ending, things went south quickly due to most inappropriate customer service i have ever experienced. As soon as the clock struck 5pm, we were charged by a giant screaming man we had never seen before. He was aggressively yelling at the top of his lungs for all of us to leave and to call our rides. This caught us off guard because when most drink deals end, you can hang around and just buy drinks and enjoy the bar… This was NOT the case here and it was not made clear that it would be so very important that our entire party left the premises exactly at 5pm. We thought this whole situation was bizarre but not a big deal. We all quickly called Ubers, and i even held my app open above my head and closed my eyes so the man would not scream at me. It was snowing outside, so naturally people were waiting for their recently called rides inside. The staff was NOT happy about this and started verbally attacking us. Eventually me, the birthday girl, and her short-statured boyfriend were the only ones left trying to be cordial and apologize to the staff and be understanding that it’s hard to coral a large group of people. The staff then began to be verbally abusive towards us calling the boyfriend (who had been standing outside) slurs such as “mini-me.” I have never heard such horrible and degrading things come out of someone in customer service’s mouth. I started crying because of the horrible horrible things they were saying to us. Later i also found out that someone was in the single-toilet bathroom with the door locked and an employee unlocked the door on him and quickly opened it to try to “catch” him doing “something” (as in drugs) which he clearly was not… he was just using the restroom that clearly was not private when a staff member can charge in at any moment when your pants are around your ankles. I am absolutely disgusted with the way we were treated and I will never go back

Place was crowded, back bar was closed and there was only 1 bartender. We didnt even get a drink, ordered an Uber and left.

I had such a nice time here! My first time in Chicago, and this bar was my best experience by far! Jason the bartender was incredibly welcoming and generous. There are board games, and the Mets game on the TV (huge NY fan over here :) ). I will definitely be back!!

My home away from home! I spend more time here that I do at home actually. Great drink prices especially in Lincoln Park. Staff is incredible. Turtle races. Madden tournaments. D.J. plays some great remixes Ive never heard before. Overall a great weekend hangout for many reasons.

Tin Lizzie is by far one of my favorite spots! Friday Turtle Racing with an amazing drink deal, DJ is fantastic! Plays the songs you actually wanna hear and takes request! The staff is also fantastic! Dont want to miss this place.

Took real IDs as “fake” with no evidence, only returned them once a member of our group called 411 to get them back. Still kicked us out because we were “rude” after they stole our IDs. Unacceptable service - making a mistake is fine as long as you own up to it but doubling down is absurdly immature

Hemingways quote completely embodies the personalities of both Bryan and Samatha. Their welcomeness, kindness, and sheer authenticity create an establishment that cannot be overlooked.Not only are the employees more astute than a Chef on Hells Kitchen, the atmosphere encapsulates patrons as soon as they step foot in the door. Whether it be the racing of the turtles or weekend brunch, Tin Lizzies should always be on your list.Even writing this review makes my gut wrench. It is an unforgettable experience that everyone should enjoy.

If youre trying to have a good time, go somewhere else.Turtles were ok and have much better personalities than the management, which were wildly disrespectful and poorly behaved. Unnecessarily rude and impolite staff; the bouncer and the manager lady act like children; although they might just not have much experience in customer or client facing roles, their behavior is generally inexcusable.

Really fun place to hangout or watch a sporting event. Really friendly staff.

Not for me. Between the overcrowding, the christmas lights strung on every surface (in late January), the flashing party lights, the sports blaring, and the people cheering so loud it hurt, not a sensory experience I would ever want to do again. Left before the turtle races even started. Oh and they had given our table to somone else by the time we got there and had to oust them. Just too packed, too much. Hard pass.After reply from business... Still a hard pass, accomodations were nice so that our tickets didnt both go to waste, but I wouldnt set foot in there again. Glad so many people enjoy you, you wont suffer for business, but my review is honest and truthful.I hadnt even mentioned that it was so hard to get to the back for the turtle races that we were standing pressed against other people, hoping it was the right line... or that no one wore their masks when they werent seated I. E. Going to the bathroom. So yeah. Youll do fine, but I wasted time and money. Some people thrive on chaos, but no thank you. This was my least favorite thing about my trip to Chicago.

Patrick and Noah were the best two personal you have at this store . They were both so amazing and made us feel right at home !!!! My son that’s in a wheelchair was so comfortable and they made him feel so at home!!! So Noah and Patrick are just so amazing young men!!!!

Very sloppy ownership, its a lawless operation,over pouring for extra dollars,and also see a manager whos a d.j. as well mistreat alot of people, walks around angry and aggressive with staff and customers, very rude and unprofessional individual, but it comes from the top,if the owner allows this type of managerial style, they def. dont care about anything but money, fun bur just know youre supporting irresponsible/disrespectful people

For Lincoln Park, not bad. Decent specials. Friendly staff. Overall a community vibe. Live music on Thursdays is the best. Wish more people would go, the house band is fantastic and theyre always getting new people to come play with them. Pluss 3 dollar PBRs. Not bad!

Came here last weekend for turtle races and had an awesome experience. Drinks were quick and service was A1. Kelly was a treat as well. Will definitely be back in the future!

Stopped by for the turtle races and was surprised to witness genuine animal abuse, plus the fact that if you want to use the bathroom you have to pay 40$ to go in the back! The drinks are overpriced and the staff is rude, if you want all the costs of going to a club but none of the benefits of going to a club this is the place for you!

I have been frequenting Tin Lizzie’s for several years and I’m very never had an experience like today. We had 4 draft beers which equated to a $50 tab, no shots or other liquor.There was a bus at the bar and the driver, a black female, had asked for a water and I asked for one shortly after - I was served ahead of the driver and the bartender was offended I handed my water to the other person asked first. The bus left shortly after and we were the only two at the front of the bar l. We had paid for several TouchTunes songs and while we were singing, the bar turned down the music to where it could not be heard. I will not be returning after seeing the poor treatment of others and myself.

Usually a good spot, but the manager for some reason doesn’t know what a temporary Illinois ID is. So all of the sudden one day I couldn’t get in because I had to replace my driver’s license.

I will have to say with it being Covid season and the want to go out and have fun ,because let’s be honest we are all tired of being inside, but also be safe - Tin Lizzes is the place to be. You come in and get your temperature checked, staff are wearing mask. They have you put on masks when they come to the table and the tables are more then 6 feet apart. I do feel safe coming here and also have an amazing time regardless of being stressed because it’s a pandemic. I will end with if you have not come to the Turtle races you are miiiisssiiinnngg out

This is my spot for football & basketball games because I love the sunny front with the open garage doors when its warm. Took 2 peoples IDs even though theyre 23, then once they noticed both where outside on 411 to get their IDs back returned them and kicked everyone out. No scanner, just a blacklight and a ehhh looks fake. Get some actual ID verification. Additionally, please fire the new bouncer and hire a new one they couldnt tell a REAL ID from some crayon on paper.

One of the best bars in Chicago right here. Always very welcoming and accommodating to the e-skate group I belong to. Plenty of spots to charge and the staff is very nice about it. Definitely a super good vibe. 👍

I bartend, and serve here and its one of the coolest hip chill places Ive been to to in the Chicagoland area!!! Fun employees with a very diverse crew. A must visit if in the Lincoln Park area. Be sure to swing by on a Friday around 6pm for the Turtle Races!!!

Its a sports bar. Come for the beer, atmosphere and TVs. My server made me a great old-fashioned, even though I get that its not what people normally order here :)Seems like they have some great deals for birthdays and other special events, definitely a cool place to hang out and play some of the games that they have at the bar.

All I have to say is new management. I’ve always wanted to go to Tin Lizzie’s because of it being in the neighborhood. Unfortunately, it previously didn’t feel welcoming. Now, it’s an amazing place to bring my friends from out of town. Again, new management is going amazingly swell. Thanks, guys!

Great spot for a Michigan transplant. Love going here to watch the WIngs games. Turtle races on Friday are a ton of fun and great deal. $20 for all you can drink, including food and betting tickets. Highly recommended.

I love this bar because its an MSU bar, but avoid the food here. The wraps looked decent but the pizza and cheesy bread were less than ideal. With the abundance of great food in this area, grab a bite somewhere else and come here for a drink and the atmosphere.

Me and my girlfriend had an amazing time at Tin Lizzie for the turtle races. The $25 drinks and food deal was incredible and they even went out of their way to make sure my girlfriend had something to eat because she was lactose-intolerant. The manager went to a nearby restaurant to get her a lactose-free option. The atmosphere and service was top notch and I definitely recommend going for the turtle races on Fridays!

The Tin Lizzie is a Detroit sports bar tucked away in Lincoln Park, serving some great Detroit themed cuisine with a fun atmosphere. I have only come here on game days for the Red Wings and Michigan State, but it is typically very busy and full of Detroiters. The menu consists of some great Michigan classics, including Coney Dogs, Hannis, and more.The service can be slow at times, but that is to be expected at such a busy bar. This bar also conveniently serves 32oz beers for $8 with refillable mugs. Great place for the Detroit transplants to catch a Wings game!

I paid $55 for all you can eat and drink. They gave us 2 jacks’s pizzas for a party of 12 over 4 hours. We were starving

They took my friends ID’s claiming they were fake and once the police were involved they switched up and said and gave their ID’s back. They didn’t even scan or used a black light, they just assumed. Terrible customer service would never attempt to go again

Stopped of at the Irish Pub side and got Beer and Wings. Wow those wings were AMAZING and the beer selection loved. If possible come during happy hour.
