I recently had a very disappointing experience at Cincy Sports Club that I feel compelled to share. As a member for a while now, Ive enjoyed many aspects of the club until this spring/summer season.Firstly, the initiation fee is a complete scam. They claim it creates a barrier to entry, but from my experience working at competitor luxury health clubs, this is typically negotiable. The fee keeps increasing, and if youre considering joining, know that Ive had friends join in the past year who were all offered different prices – so don’t give up on negotiating!I joined because I prefer clubs with a sauna, free towels, and included classes. Plus, the adult pool is a great way to catch up and relax with friends. However, since joining, the women’s sauna has been broken the majority of the time, the cardio machines are always full during busy times, and on three occasions this year, there were no available chairs at the adult pool.My main gripe is the customer service. A few weeks ago, I reserved a spot to bring a guest, but upon arrival, the manager of membership services and the front desk staff were incredibly hostile and uncooperative. The club’s outdated mobile app is not user-friendly and slow, and despite having a reservation, they showed no willingness to work with me when I had mistakenly reserved the wrong pool for my guest. Considering it was 4 PM, I had a chair next to me already with a towel on it, and there were at least 30 or more chairs available on the adult pool deck, youd think they would realize this was an honest mistake and allow us to proceed. Unfortunately, the front desk staff seemed to have had enough arguments that day and immediately called the manager up to the desk. The overcrowding at the club has become unbearable. With the influx of new members this year, its increasingly difficult to enjoy the facilities without feeling cramped. When you combine this with the lack of customer-friendly service, it becomes hard to justify the commute, cost, and lack of available machines, weights, and pool chairs.Spending thousands of dollars at a club should at least afford you the courtesy of a friendly and understanding conversation. Unfortunately, my recent interaction left me feeling frustrated and undervalued as a member. The clubs inability to provide even basic customer service is very disappointing. This isn’t how you keep members, and it is very apparent that they aren’t interested in retaining us
We have belonged here for a number of months now and have been very pleased. The childcare for our son has been great and offers us the flexibility to drop him off and go work out or spend time at the pool for a date night. The fitness equipment is all well maintained and there are a number of exercise classes offered throughout the week. A premium price for membership but well worth it considering all the amenities CSC has to offer.
We joined all inclusive in May. We love it. They have so much to offer. We have not even scratched the surface. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The adult pool area is so nice. We feel so relaxed when we come to the club.
After being a member for 3 years, they still charged me 6 weeks after I gave them WRITTEN cancelation notice. After I called to inquire I was supposed to get called and no one ever bothered calling back .As for the gym itself, the facility is dated, staff are nice, though the gym gets filled to teenagers and children with no one enforcing the age limits!
Has so many different features for a large variety of people to do, featuring many gym areas and private fitness classes. A couple basketball courts, full sized which i enjoy, a huge track for running or walking. Many pools, outdoor, outdoor ages 21+, indoor lap pool, indoor swimming pool. Very very expensive however for all these nice facilities but i feel like it’s worth it.. Will continue to go here for sure. Oh and the workers are very lenient and friendly, but also follow rules and will give you warnings that could lead to being kicked out. act right because they deserve it and shouldn’t have to be all over you because they deserve better then that
Wow, talk about nickeling and diming. I joined the club almost a year ago. The apartment complex I live at has a partnership with the club that supposedly waived my initiation fee. This was all fine and dandy until I decided not to renew my lease at the apartment complex. Now the club is asking me to pay an initiation fee because I will no longer live at the complex. This doesnt make a lot of sense to me. An initiation fee should be a 1-time payment. Since my apartment supposedly already paid my initiation, why should I be on the hook for it now a year later? You would think the Club would be more interested in retaining active members like myself who sign up for paid leagues & social events above and beyond my membership dues. Instead theyd rather ask me to fork out several hundred dollars at the risk of me ending my membership. Very upsetting!
They have unethical business practices. If you cancel for example, January 2nd they will charge you until March. They are unaccommodating to people with disabilities. A very negative environment to relax in.
To address other common complaints.* Membership: $120 a month and significant one time payment. More expensive than planet fitness and only one location.* Facilities: Extensive* Equipment: much of the weight equipment is on the old side, planet is better for this except in specialty* Cafe: small portions and high side of reasonable pricesOverall membership has been incredibly rewarding to me. If $90 a month is really so much to you, I suggest planet fitness. If you want swimming, hot tub, good rate on personal training, b-ball/pickleball, indoor track and more intense weight equipment this will be better
If you need to speak to someone about an issue on your account- you will never reach anyone. I was told that the Manager was going to call me back. I called back for a week and they ignored all my phone calls. What a disgrace of a business.
Workers are very strict and rude. Lots of children around and by the pool. Equipment is old and creaks. They do not let guest know the policy until they are not able to go as a guest unless they buy a membership. The guest pass despite going late with a couple hours left; you get charged the same price.
The Cincinnati Sports Club started off as an impressive gym, but over the past few years, their prices have skyrocketed without matching the quality and services provided. With a monthly fee of around $120 and additional charges for various amenities, its simply not worth the cost. The facility has also experienced shortened operating hours, and the cleanliness leaves much to be desired, with towels piling up and other hygiene issues. Equipment availability is often challenging, and the worn-out state of some machines is evident. Given these concerns and more, I would prefer exploring other fitness centers in the area that offer better value for money and a more enjoyable gym experience.
This is not a gym where you can get a $10 membership, but it shouldnt be. It is absolutely worth the cost.Staff is extremely helpful and friendly, equipment is in good shape. One indoor lap pool and one indoor more general use indoor pool. Multiple basketball and raquetball/ squash courts. Indoor walking track. Classes are well run and never been to one I havent enjoyed. With the all access membership you get use of the outdoor pool and the outdoor adult area (small pool and bar). Very nice childcare with great staff for those who need it. Lots of extra social events and activities as well.
10/10 recommend!! It’s a great social club as well as fitness club!
This place is an experience. The staff are always welcoming and really try to make sure the customer is first. The facility is clean and has a lot to offer for all types of people. This is especially true if you enjoy working out or group sports. I recommend if you can afford to go here, this is the best gym-type experience you can get in Cincinnati by far.
Tonics Spa And Salon is a great place to pamper yourself! I went there to get nails done for my wedding. The staff is friendly and accommodating. My French pedicure is still looks lovely after an entire month!Check out this place for some self care:)
Adult outdoor pool with a bar, outdoor pickleball courts, separate pool for kids with its own bar/snack bar, 2 hours of free childcare a day? Pretty great deal.If you’re a Fairfax resident this is a NO BRAINER. They give you such a great discount.
Great community club with a ton of amenities including multiple pools, tennis courts, Pickle ball, and great events like wine mixers. They invest in renovations and care about member feedback.
Its a very nice facility. I love that they have an adults only locker room on the second floor AND an adults only swimming pool with a bar and jacuzzi, im looking forward to that in the summer. the locker rooms are very clean, they have everything you need, towels, shampoo, soap, hair dryers, lotion, deodorant, hair spray, pads, tampons. the showers are real nice, better than my shower at home lol. I love the indoor track and the lap swimming pool. the jacuzzi is a little lack luster with the jet pressure and I know sometimes people make reservations for a single lane so sometimes it hard to tell if one is using a lane on their own or not. other than that, fantastic gym! I was a little intimidated at first because the gym seems like its for (rich people) but the staff seem to take care of everyone and you truly do get what you pay for! the qaulity is up there!
Its a unique business, its primarily a gym but its also a community center. They offer some nice social events like a book club, wine tastings, and a seasonal happy hour which could help to create a sense of social cohesion. There are some group classes that come with the membership and theres an indoor and outdoor pool. It certainly feels welcoming to families. They should enforce a strict age limit inside the workout center. The core business is pretty good but it could stand to be tightened up a bit. The average member is probably closer to 40 so theyre using aerobic machines and some of them are quite old. Theres no vibe inside the gym and no social atmosphere. The TVs are distracting. Supposedly, they have a lot of YouTube programming but they dont promote their educational videos. The club needs to update their brand and become a bit sleeker, and more urban.
Never got the chance to step foot in this place. I was simply looking for a price of the membership, as pricing is not online. The young lady that answered the phone told I needed to speak with the membership department and placed me on hold, she came back to the phone and said they weren’t available and asked if I wanted to leave a message. I explained I just needed to know the price as I’m comparing facilities at this time. She told me the staff is not given that information. Really… you’re so focused on trying to gather people’s contact information that you’d rather insult my intelligence and have your staff tell me she doesn’t know the price of the membership to the club. It doesn’t matter how far the next club is from me, we won’t be going to this one.
Theres an obvious reason that you do not post membership prices online. After realizing there was no pricing online, I called in to get a cost for an all-inclusive, single membership. The front desk reception Keith, told me that he was not at liberty to say as there are a lot of factors for pricing, but assured me that one of the sales team members would call me back.Really? I simply want to know pricing, I am not buying a car. This back and forth customer gimmick left a very poor taste in what this club is really about.
This place is HORRIBLE. Towels feel like sandpaper and I have found dirty bandaids by the hot tub. I decided to leave in November and was told that I needed to give advance notice before the 15th. I called on the 17th and was told had to pay for December because I did not give them enough advance warning. JOKE. Come January I was charged $109, I called the club with no return call. February 1 same charge of $109. No one returns calls but I come to find out you have to give them 45 days WRITTEN notice that you want out. The person I spoke with in November (who no longer works there) NEVER said anything about writing the club to cancel. Heather Luttrell is always busy in a meeting or setting up for something and after 5+ emails and calls she still did not have the courtesy to call me. I have a refund for March ONLY and they refuse to acknowledge the customer is always right. DO NOT JOIN HERE!
I was a member for over 4 years. Overall a decent gym, no complaints about the facility or amenities. However, please be forewarned that canceling your membership comically requires 30+ days for them to process. This is clearly unnecessary and must simply be a predatory way to grab another months worth of $ from you. Slimy. For the high price they charge I am shocked that that is how they choose to operate.
Extreme disappointment. My partner and I joined and were impressed with the facility initially. But then we discovered that it is just an over priced day care. There are routinely 30 kids plus on the gym floor working in large groups taking up 3-4 workstations at a time and lingering FOREVER, making it near impossible to complete a workout. They are loud, obnoxious and entitled. Complaining about it is pointless because they are spoiled kids from rich parents and the facility will do nothing to correct the obvious problem that every adult, who didn’t produce one of these prepubescent entitled feckless brats, is irritated by because they aren’t going to make the parents unhappy. We have to make the initiation fees worth it (which are insanely high when you consider how awful this place is) so we are stuck in this hell for a bit. But if you like to lift and are serious about fitness, DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM. Huge mistake. Planet Fitness is way better and it’s $20 a month.
Wonderful place, disappointed about losing the tanning beds. Otherwise, very high class space.
CSC is a fantastic health club!Theres something for everyone here and its a clean, facility with a very friendly staff and just a fun place to be!Ive been a member for two years and I wish I had joined sooner!
The actual facilities are good, like I enjoyed the warm water pool while I was a member for ~1.5 years and the locker rooms are great. But quite a few members and I told staff over and over to clean the bottom of the warm water pool more than once a week and nothing seemed to change...it got pretty gross with hair, bandaids, and dirt/silt throughout the week.Theyre in the middle of a multi-year development plan to add more amenities, but I think they need to do a LOT of work on their current facilities regarding maintenance and keeping things updated and clean.I do honestly hope they get better. I would return if they become consistent on their cleaning standards again, theres a reevaluation of the rules that are truly needed, an easier guest check-in process, and when COVID settles down...thats the only conversation that everyone wants to have there lately, seems like.Even when I joined a pickleball league for a couple weeks, my team members were obsessed with talking about COVID. The staff seems so incredibly fixated on enforcing the Clubs COVID rules instead of ALL the rules. Which I agree, we need to be safe and smart, and Im doing my best to do my part, but my gosh, theres other things to maintain and talk about too.I even felt like the staff were spying on us members through the facial ID cameras and just around the club in general, but that might not be true.I personally want a club where I can relax and get AWAY from thinking about COVID, not where it is the center of everything.
Im not a member but went to a kids birthday party. This place is very nice and clean. They have tons of stuff to do in there. The pool area is awesome and they even have a separate adult pool and a splash area for kids.
I have used a personal trainer for eight years. She is wonderful. She advices and encourages me not only on using machines and doing our exercises but also on nutrition and working out beyond the gym. She is professional, friendly and intuitive. I probably would not have continued exercising if it wasnt for our biweekly workouts.
Ive been a member for about 4 months. The child care hours and activities are great. My 4 year old loves coming here. Everyone is really friendly. The variety of classes is nice as well (the Body Pump classes are especially fun). I like not having to belong to a Yoga studio, a Barre studio, and a gym to use free weights. Its all in one place. My only problem - and the reason for the 3 star review - is the smell. They talk about how everything has been renovated, but I think the main gym area where the free weights and the cardio equipment are smells kinda funky. Its off-putting. I am not sure if its the rubber mat surface holding in odors or just because its an older building but I think that area needs more attention. To me it feels dingy, dated, and neglected. Some of the elliptical machines have rust and broken pieces which gives the impression that things are not maintained well. Im considering cancelling my membership because of it - Ill happily go back to a clean, shiny barre studio and bright, open free weight gym. The only thing keeping me here is the fact that my kid enjoys it so much. There is a lot of focus on the new pool and outdoor bar opening this summer but I think instead of adding more stuff, attention should be on the existing areas and getting them up to 100% first.
This place has everything. I could spend an entire day here no problem. The atmosphere is calming and relaxed. Plenty of space for everyone.
The staff is the best. I have never been to a gym where you can get to know the entire staff. The facility is clean, the members are very friendly. It is expensive but well worth it. The classes that are offered are great and the ladies that massage all of my kinks away are wonderful. I can’t say enough about the staff. It is more than a gym, a social type atmosphere with things that are done there outside of workouts like couple massage class, where you learn basic things to help your partner out. Love the place.
Joined as new members summer of 2019. Could not ask for a better experience at a sports club. High caliber instructors and trainers available on staff and the new adult pool being built is going to be a great addition to an already fantastic assortment of amenities.
This is hands down the best gym facility in the Cincinnati area. Membership costs are higher than average, but reasonable given the quality of services. Clean, professional, respectful facility that is very welcoming. Gym is never packed like typical gyms, pool area is awesome and happy hours are great. 110% satisfied.
Cincinnati Sports Club is a great facility that is unfortunately staffed by a number of overbearing and humorless martinets. We have been members on-and-off for the past 20 years, and while recent improvements to the club are impressive, its management could use an upgrade.Again, we enjoy the club, especially the new(ish) adults-only “resort”pool and new multipurpose weight room. But heaven help you if you are found in violation of one of their ever-growing list of rules. In our most recent case, when our 19-year-old daughter briefly accompanied my wife to the 21-and-over resort pool, she (my wife) was first confronted by a member of the staff, then got a call from the club manager, and finally was sent a written reprimand. You would have thought the two of them had looted the cash register. As I shared in a written complaint, people join the club for fitness, leisure, and *fun.* They might try lightening up on members.UPDATE 10 July 2022:The response below from the sports club appeared within 24 hours of my review being posted. If you are monitoring social media for potentially negative reviews this closely, you might ask yourself why.
Pretty disappointed by our experience. The lifeguards are immature and don’t want to work. Instead they want to socialize with their friends. The club manager will avoid a call with you. The atmosphere is aggressive and condescending. I would find a better club- way too many in the area to deal with this nonsense.
This place is a blast for the whole family. You can get your nails done at the spa, go swimming outside where you can drink and they have food. They have an indoor pool that is warm water. Hot tub and any sport you can think of. The best thing for me is the daycare. They watch them for 2hours everyday then on Wednesday during the day you can leave the premises and they watch the kids for 5 hours and it is the same for Friday and Saturday night...Absolutely love it!
The staff are friendly. The facility is very clean and has towels, lotion, body wash. The group work outs have really helped me stay on track. Great place!!!
This is the best workout facility I have ever been a member of! I enjoy going to the gym and actually look forward to my time there! The facility is clean and well maintained. Every member of the staff is friendly and helpful! Instead of counting down the time until my work out is finished while I am there , I look forward to my next visit!
I have been a member of the CSC for 25 years. I really think of it as my home away from home. It has been completely transformed in the last 25 years. They are always improving things. The club is always clean. The staff are super friendly and so are the members.. It is my great escape after work and has been my staycation in the summer. I love this place!
If you have kids, stay far away. Ive been a member for three weeks. There was an child endangerment incident with the child care and my 1.5yr old. Not only did we not receive an apology, the staff attempted to blame a 4 yr old, and theyre refusing to refund our money. Im incredibly disappointed that I am forced to file a lawsuit just to get a reasonable outcome.
HORRIBLE!!!! I am disgusted with how I was treated by the staff at Cincinnati Sports Club. I held my daughters 3rd birthday at their facility. I signed a contract to have the gymnastic room, the rec gym and a party room. When I arrived I was treated poorly and told I was not getting the rec gym, and that I only agreed to the Gymnastic room. I pulled out my contract to inform them it wasnt true. All i got was an apology, and told I couldnt have the rec gym. So we continued with the party. My party facilitator, did not help, besides clean up. Toddlers were in the Gymnastic room, running all over the place and swinging off bars.It was so dangerous, while the facilitator was standing outside the door. I had to host and facilitate my daughters party, and I didnt get to show up and enjoy myself like I should have. So I contact the Supervisor a couple days after the party, to inform her of my experience and the breach of contract. I only asked for a lousy $80 back of the $240 I spent. She was rude and said I could only get $50 back and she wouldnt charge me for going over my party time. So we asked her to review their camera to prove we did not go over our party time. She said she would call us back after she reviewed the tape. It has been over a week and NOTHING!!! When I asked for $80 I was only asking for the rec gym that we did not receive. i was being nice, since our party facilitator did not do her job. I will NEVER SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS AGAIN!
The club is call basically a dictatorship. Whatever they say is final and there are no exceptions to any and all rules. They also promote public shaming of people who don’t want to get vaccinated. If you take the time to fill out their surveys and report unfair treatment, no one will reach out to you about actions to accommodate any requests or just to apologize. They have two TVs in the gym that constantly play CNN and Fox News. If you ask for them to turn off the rhetoric television, they will tell you that they can’t and it has to stay on. They also nickel and dime members with hidden childcare fees as well as parking fines used as incremental revenue for the club. I’ve been a member for four months now and incredibly regret the decision based off our short experience.
I really enjoy this place, and my kids love it too. But, we ended up cancelling our membership last year because of covid, things were just a lot harder. Then, summer rolls around and, I try to renew my membership and they inform me that once you cancel your membership you have to wait a year before you go back!!! Which, was not told to me at the time of cancelation. So, now me and my children cannot return until July, which takes away from them swimming for the whole summer and leaves only about a month of swimming, unless its indoors which isnt as appealing to kids. I was very dissopointed about this situation and for the money my family invested last year a t this place and the money I was willing to invest this year, I dont believe this should be allowed. If your willing to pay you should be able to come back when you want too. So, if your considering canceling your membership for the winter remember you wont be able to return for exactly a year later!!!
I think the club has some great services, but i think they need to address the paddle tennis courts being constantly filled and being used by pickle players. We dont have a very long season and having them filled during it is frustrating. The club should really get a 3rd court. All places (but 1) in cincinnati have 3+ courts and with its increasing popularity, a 3rd court would be a great addition.
No place for adults only to work out. Staff unfriendly and never enforce rules. Locker rooms messy with discarded wet towels, hair in the shower drains and not clean. Broken equipment that I have made dozens of requests over the past THREE years to be repaired. Never have been repaired. Kids and babies running everywhere on mezzanine with and without wrist bands. Not a club for adults. Complaints never addressed about this and is getting worse and worse. Most of my friends have dropped out because of these issues. I am about to do the same. Poor management.
Place is poorly ran. Had someone using my pass to get in for about 3 months. He was also putting food and drink on my tab. They literally did nothing but make it harder for me to put stuff on my tab.
The pools are nice and the staff is friendly. The dressing rooms are always clean. Each visit has been a positive experience.
CSC does a great job of providing a variety of services for a reasonable price. I’ve been especially impressed by their personal training. My trainer Jarred (yes two Rs) provided the perfect combination of science based exercise, positive reinforcement, and flexible scheduling that has allowed me to see fantastic results in just a few months!
The club is very forthcoming in sharing updates on protocols related to Covid-19 helping all members feel safe and be knowledgeable about what to do and what to refrain from. Policies and procedure are visibly implemented and followed. Its a wonderful place to exercise and stay fit and have positive social interactions. Love the club!
The Cincinnati Sports Club would be great if it was cheaper. There are a lot of options but you pay a very high price. And they tend to increase the monthly fees on a regular basis. A single person who gets the basic membership (without access to the pool - yes, thats a separate cost) pays over $90 a month (as of early 2018). At thats not counting the registration fee to join, which is around $300 (sometimes they offer deals so wait for those). Lots of kids around, too, which increases the volume and irritability factor, but Id put up with that if only it didnt cost an arm and a leg.
When Im not running outside I love running here. The track is good. Sometimes a little crowded on the track. There are a lot of treadmills and elipticals. Locker room is always clean and has sauna and steam room. Great after a workout.Indoor and outdoor pools as well.
I’m a big fan of this gym! They have such great amenities for their members. They offer multiple pools, there’s trainers, salons, lots of equipment and gyms. Multiple types of indoor and outdoor courts, and it’s reasonably priced.
This place is just awful pay attention to the small print. You have to sell your soul in order to leave. Lol they will even bill you for the membership cards that have your picture on them if not returned. Seriously. Luckily they waved the sign up fee for our family, so that saved us 700 bucks. Still not worth it. Even the kids didnt like it, and the ymca is much better suited for the little ones.
I dont like having to sign in every single time I come with my friend who walks with a walker and only goes to swim. It is hard enough not walking with him into the building because I drop him off and then park my car. But then you require me to sign in and fill out the waiver sheet every single time and copy my drivers license. You already have my information. I need to be with my friend at all times because of the risk of falling near the pool and water. Your keeping me from assisting him at important times when we come into your facility.
The Cincinnati Sports Club offers a wide variety of services. I go there several times a week and participate in something different almost every day from walking on the track to using fitness machines to playing pickle ball to yin yoga classes. The staff is extremely friendly and capable, and safety and security measures maintained by the Club and its members make me feel very comfortable to attend. I highly recommend the Cincinnati Sports Club
They have everything here! The club offers a variety of group classes which are motivating! Great machines. I love the steam room, two indoor pools and hot tub! Very clean locker room and showers.
Had a Blast here in the outdoor pool. there was plenty of seating, pool was large, and the drinks were cold. cant wait to see the expansion they have planned. I did not get to use any of the indoor facilities, but hopefully i will in the future.
This gym is so great for families. They have awesome child center and wonderful splash pads outdoors for the kids to have fun. If you are looking for a family friendly gym then look no farther.
Simply the best in Cincinnati! Phenomenal facility and staff. Literally hundreds of group exercise classes with no extra charge. Huge exercise weight, and cardiovascular space. Indoor salt water lap pool. Second pool for water exercise classes and family swim. PGA golf simulator. And so much more.I have been a member since the very early days of this club. The amount of reinvestment and upgrading of facilities over the years demonstrates their commitment to excellence. The continuous improvements ensure the club stays relevant and responsive to their membership. They are exceeding Covid guidelines for sanitization and contact tracing, with no cases traced to this facility. All this and close to my home.
Staff are friendly but not overly so. Amenities are great. Everything you could need. They have a little Cafe with healthy dinners to take home when you dont want to cook. Pricey but you get what you pay for.
Great place for a workout or just to relax by the outdoor pool. Cincinnati sports club has everything youd want in a health/athletic club and more. Full gym, running track, racquet ball courts, tennis courts, even a golf simulator. The service is also top notch, everyone is nice and friendly. The only drawback is the cost. A membership is pretty high. Is it worth it? Depending on what you want or need it could be.
I am actually disappointed about the amount of compassion they have towards their employees . They only worry about their reputation and image to society and not even about the health of their own employees, especially during this current winter/flu season. So if you see us being happy and cheerful, just know that we are actually miserable.
The Cincinnati Sports Club is a premiere facility with a highly trained and professional staff who make The Club feel like a home away from home.Their COVID protocols are beyond reproach, which has enabled our family to stay healthy while keeping safe. The monthly fee is definitely worth all the amenities and services membership affords.
I have to say that I am a bit disappointed on the usage of the indoor soccer field. Every time I try to use the field it is booked. Also seems like both Saturday and Sundays are always booked. When I signed up I was excited to use the field but havent really had a chance to use it.I tried to use it on 2/15 and there was only a window of 10-11am to use it. In that timeframe half the field was blocked off for the kids from the child care area. The other half was also packed with kids and parents using it (which is totally fine). Just either need to add a new field or manage the time of the field.
I have been a member since 1993. I am happy to be back after going on suspended status. I am disappointed that not all of the staff has been vaccinated. How can people who are in the business of health justify that?
Great sports complex. Has every amenity an athlete or individual looking to get and keep healthy could ever want or need. People are always friendly and will remember your name when you say hello. Can be busy during peak hours, however there is plenty to do. Whether you want to shoot some hoops, swim, weight train, play soccer, or even volleyball this place accomodates.
Unfortunately, travelers arent welcome. I needed the rest anyway.
Very racially feeling for ppl of color
Top of the line facilty that has it all! Great family atmosphere with day care available. Three pools and physical therapy located on site. Need your hair done or a massage, no problem...
The food you order at any snack shack area in the club is disgusting and extremely over priced. I mean come on $5 for a PB&J!? The decor in the club inside and outside is extremely outdated and looks like it was styled in the 1980s. Fortuanley, most of the workers are polite, helpful, and kind however, some workers are extremely rude. Ive had mutiple occurrences where my children have been shouted at, and rudely spoken to over issues they had no control of and no knowledge of. These train of events have caused my family to leave the club along with mutiple of our family and friends. I do not reccomend this club. Thank you for reading this and hopefully I did not offend anyone.
We love the sprts club. The atmosphere works for us. THe staff make this a worthwhile investment for our family and our health. Constantly impressed by how far this team goes to give us a safe environment.
As a new member of Cincinnati Sports Club, I have found the staff to be positive and the facilities spotless. CSC does a great job of communicating not only opportunities at the club, but all of the things that they are doing to keep their members and staff safe regarding all of the Covid-19 issues. I would highly recommend Cincinnati Sports Club to anyone interested in a great club experience!
I do not recommend enrolling any child in their summer camp program, or any program where the kids are under the supervision of the staff there. Yesterday my husband went to pick up my daughter from the KidSport summer camp, and not only was she not at the pick up area, none of the counselors knew where she was or that she had been missing! The head counselor didnt even know who our daughter was or what she looked like. It was eventually discovered that they had left her in the pool area for at least 15-30 minutes, unsupervised. (She is not a very good swimmer!) Apparently they did not do a head count, roll call, or anything of that nature when leaving the pool area. There were other safety precautions that werent taken as well. When dropping her off I asked that she be put in a life vest, flotation belt, etc. since she wasnt a good swimmer. They tied a NOODLE around her waist, which she said came off shortly afterwards. This club is VERY sloppy and disorganized when it comes to kids and I strongly recommend that children are kept out of any of the programs where they are under the supervision of the staff if a parent is not present. The organizational problems run far too deep for this to be fixed easily and it puts the safety of the children at risk.
I was there for the tournament, the kids came from Chicago. Glad to see they were having such a good time competing and it was fun to watch from up above thru the glass... Its an upscale sports club and there is a seating area which you can enjoy a glass of wine..
Beautiful building very nice and clean. The orthopedic surgeon was awesome and the staff was friendly. Theres alot to do there, from basketball to weights, to cardio and yoga. Theres a spa, a little cafe and a physical therapy office.
I used to enjoy coming here to play basketball on mens nights. But after multiple experiences with the front desk over a few small misunderstandings they have made me and few other guests not feel welcome to come anymore. The customer service here is absolutely terrible , by far the worst ive ever experienced at a gym. Cathy at the front desk is disrespectful, mean and makes you feel like your unwelcome. And there security guards are liars and aholes and have the sence of power to them for being security at a gym. Lmao a real joke if you ask me.
Tried to simply get membership rates via email or over the phone. It could have been a ballpark, but they refused. Ridiculous. Im not going to spend 2 hours walking around a place that Im not sure I want to pay for. Get with the times people, publish your rates!
This club is outrageously rude and inconsiderate of their members. We have never been treated so poorly/disrespectful because the person they hired couldn’t handle their work load.I have never been treated so poorly than today at the club. This club is horrible!! The management is even worse!Don’t waste your money!!!
Specific to the rec soccer program at CSC, my teams experiences have been great. Ive had teams play in the Winter season for the past five years. The field has been shortened and is 5v5. Originally this was off-putting, but in the end it makes for a very dynamic and fun style of play, almost completely different that regular indoor fields - double rebounds, double speed, etc. As for the other negative reviewer on here, the field does not use rubber pellets as in-fill, rather plastic-coated sand by a local company, which is better for play and the environment. Use regular outdoor cleats and not indoor shoes or sneakers (as you will slide). The manager Kevin has been fantastic and has always been very responsive. This season we signed-up six teams and 57 players and he responded very quickly at every stage of the process. Thanks Kevin!
The best sports complex in Cincinnati hands down. 3 pools, free weights, machines, tons of cardio, free group classes, day care, wine tastings, happy hours, (indoor and at the outdoor pool), indoor running track, golf simulator etc. Trainers on staff and great hours. No place else compares.
As a self pay patient the ortho doctors here are more willing and caring to see the person than the payment 5 days I tried to get into see someone in the tri health network as I always went through tri health network but when I couuldnt get in because I was self pay my wife found the Christ hospital network and they got me in the next day. Warren Harding iii and his team are amazing. I will gladly come back for any future bone issues and physical therapy. Keep up the great personal care for your patients.
Right priced for the numerous amenities and fitness options provided. Classes are welcoming, the gym is well staffed and stocked and the hot tub cant be beat!
The CSC is an excellent fitness facility. The experience they have been able to provide in the middle of a pandemic has been excellent. I always feel safe and healthy when visiting the CSC.
This gym will be the best ever they need more 10 lb plates
So many other gyms out there that are cheaper/don’t charge an insane startup fee and are just as nice (minus the unnecessary thrills they put in place to justify the cost)
I am hesitant to recommend the CSC only because I don;t want to see it overcrowded, but then I remember, they take all of these amazing precautions to make sure each and every one of the members and staff are safe. It is simply an outstanding organization.
Doesnt even compare to LA Fitness. Friendly staff. No waiting on machines. Class and fitness floor are inside and outside. 3 swimming pools. Happy hours every Friday. Market place for food and coffee.
The Cincinnati sports league has a dangerous and outdated indoor soccer field. My girlfriend and I both suffered torn ACLs that required expensive surgery and our knees will NEVER be the same again. The turf is terrible and the horrendous ventilation makes for the poorest conditions. On top of that all of our games we scheduled at either 10:15 PM or 10:40 PM on a Monday night. Who would want to play at that hour that works a day job? Please do yourself a favor and play anywhere else but here. I USED to love to play soccer but sadly those days are now over for both of us.
Very pleasant staff. Ultra clean facilities
Great facility! Instructors are professional and very positive. They keep adding additional classes. So many options for class days and times.
Terrible membership policies, terrible management, too many rules...ZERO flexibility on most everything. So many great choices in the HP, Mt. Lookout, Anderson area. Do your FAMILY a favor, go elsewhere.
Awesome family facility with wonderful showers and locker rooms! So clean! A little pricey for the membership, but totally worth it!
Very well run place with all amenities and thoughtful and hard working management.
Really great workout facility. The Cincinnati Sports Club has almost every type of facility or equipment imaginable for fitness, sports, etc enjoyment. Really enjoy working out there!
Love having Yin yoga at midday. So many studios only offer evenings so really happy to be able to go when Im not already home and tired!
The Cincinnati Sports Club has done outstanding work to remain a safe place to work out during the pandemic, and has done an exemplary job in communicating with members about safety and health steps taken.
Offers a wide variety of services and facilities. Staff friendly. I particularly love the pool and the availability of swimming anytime - any day.
When I signed up, they wanted my SSN! Why do they need this information? It made me really cautious and I regret doing that.I also notice so many fake local guide reviews which is absolutely ridiculous.
Cool place. The steam room and saunas are great if you need a quick detox. The place is spacious and relaxing
High quality, well-run facility with extensive offerings!
Super nice. Child care and swim lessons included as are towels and.most classes. Costs about twice as much as the YMCA
After not going for two years and paying all that time , I then tried to reduce membership amd they said yes , but didn’t change my rate for 3 more months .
Amazing facility that has it all!
Nice place to work out and swim! Great customer service too
Premier atmosphere with friendly welcoming service and state of the art equipment. Excellent trainers and programs. Stay fit and stay happy.
We have a family membership and love it. It has everything we need, and then some! The best part is they are always adding updates, and growing!
Watch out for suspending account if you are going out of town for a few months. They require 30-days written notice, so I am out of pocket the $160.00 for the month of July, since they wont suspend as of the end of this month. And then there is a fee of $150.00 to suspend. I think this is very unreasonable.
CSC IS AN OUTSTANDING FACILITY THAT IS LED BY AN EXCELLENT TEAM OF DEDICATED PEOPLE. THE DIVERSITY OF EQUIPTMENT IS THE BEST IN THE REGION AND WELL MAINTAINED.IT IS A PLEASURE TO BE A MEMBER OF THIS CLUB FOR 3 DECADES.
Member since 2014. Great indoor pools! One is heated. Several other amenities.

We have been nothing but thrilled with our experience at CSC.
I go there for physical therapy. But the staff at the club is very friendly. When they are outside they always open the door for me and speak.
Great pool, friendly service. Happy to be a member here.
Great service & staff, nice ambiance.
They only seem to let in white people. They also wont give family discounts for gay partners.
Great facility. Lots to do and great swimming pools.
