Don’t use your bank card here once you leave they will add their own tip amount onto your card. Rude bartenders that be too drunk to even attend to the customers. Horrible music played all night and hoodrats fighting at the establishment every other day . Go to vibe patio or the twist instead .

Years of great memories and amazing staff and drink prices I hope to visit again someday soon

Anti indigenous racism is not okay. it never has been okay but it is especially inexcusable in a place that exists for a marginalized group. do better because its impossible to actually be this tone deaf.

I have been going to the hawk for 34 years when it was the tomahawk on and off. I have always been treated well. I am kinda shocked going into the hawk last night and felt unwanted and pretty much ignored by your bar tender. I am not sure why or if my money was not good enough but she pretty much only consintrating on friends and her phone this will empty out a bar quick as I had one beer waited 20 mins as she kept dealing with her friends just finally closed out my tab and went down the street. SADAND DISAPPOINTED 😞 I will make sure I peek in before going in again.

I’ve been coming here for years and never had an issue until tonight (January 1st). I came with my 8 friends and I began to order the first round of drinks. I gave my credit card to open a tab. As I ordered the drinks and they become ready I passed them to my friends. As I order the fifth drink (remember it’s me and my 8 friends) the bartender tells me I’ve ordered too many drinks, he can’t stand here and serve only me, and that he has to leave to go service other customers. I was shocked and dumbfounded. I guess my remaining drink orders and money wasn’t good enough. I never caused any problems there and I’ve always over tipped with cash. I politely told the other bartender to cash out my $50.22 tab, which would’ve been higher with the additional drinks had I been allowed to order them, I signed the receipt, and promptly left without giving a tip. I will NEVER patronize this establishment again!!!

The place has definitely gone downhill over the years. Clientele is definitely NOT what it used to be. Got asked and hustled for money, heavy use of marijuana outside the bar on the smoking area. Chris the bartender is a great guy.

This is probably our favorite gay bar we went to in Cleveland. The bartenders are awesome and drinks are cheap and strong. Good homey feel.

Alan and Gwen know exactly what they are doing. Being behind the bar, handling a bunch of queens and getting everyone’s drinks in a timely and orderly fashion with a perfect pour - what more could you want?! Sure, it’s dark and the pool table may be not level, but the community you feel at this bar surpasses any place in Cleveland. Thank you to the staff and patrons here.

Absolutely love this place great atmosphere bomb people that work there and also if you want to drink until you drown for a good price come on down

Nice kind of bar to hang out at and have a few drinks. Seems like mostly everyone there are regulars. Definitely the strongest drinks in town! Sometimes that’s a great thing....sometimes it makes it hard to drink. Depends what you order. You’ll definitely need a designated driver after going here. Haha.

Theres a reason I call this place my living room. Amazing people. The best bang for your buck. The bartenders remember you... and everything about you (blessing and curse)No attitude (unless you deserve it) The best and only true neighborhood gay bar in Cleveland. And YES. Women are MORE than welcome!

This is a real salt of the earth kinda place where I am very much comfortable to be able to be myself and the vibe is not a cliquish kind of vibe.Its a gay bar and if you are going to be there respecting that first, its pretty live and let live. I have been in multiple times with my old girlfriend, my gay male best friend, and I have been a gracious customer who is always treated with the utmost respect and I would much rather spend my money here than with a bunch of pretentious little scenesters in the same neighborhood. The bartenders actually know what they are doing, too.

I visited this place in July and it was amazing I’m planning on going there again this September for my birthday

Ive been in the hawk a few weeks ago and the place is pretty nice with nice crowd.I had a great time there and met some nice people.The backlash was a fight at the end of the evening around 02.00 hour.

This place is one warrant away from arrested. Its full of felons...Ive not been there since 2013..but i wouldnt go again from nyc..its not a fun dive after a couple of a hundred vodkas

Fun, dive-y neighborhood gay bar! Was just passing through town, but seemed like a place where almost everyone was a regular. Covered smoking patio and cheap booze makes that a win for me!

Hole in the wall bar. Nothing great about it. Felt old and dirty. Left within 15 minutes.

I have been going here for more then 25 years, even before the current owner (who is very nice) It is a bar where everyone knows everyone and makes you feel welcome.

I apologize for the one star rating. My phone was highjacked and took me about 4 days to kick the hacker out. I love this bar and miss meeting all my friends there.

Everytime we come to this bar the door is always locked well before 1am as if they only cater to a certain crowd! ( If you know what I mean)

Best place ever they just need to work on the drinks a little bit more they used to be strong drinks now they gotten a little bit weak but I still love the place
