The photos in the picture is nothing like the actual property. There were dresser drawers missing from the dresser, mini fridge on the floor, mold in the bathroom and overall an unacceptable stay. I should have known something was wrong when the damn cleaning staff was mopping the floor with a broom with a rag on it. I wish I never stayed at this hotel.this was a horrible experience overall and would NOT recommend

DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!!! PLEASE READ!!! Rude, disgusting, and inhabitable are the only words to describe this hotel. If i could give it less than one star i would. My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for two weeks and had to change rooms four times due to black mold and roach infestation and not to mention every room we were in the dressers were broken with nowhere to put our clothes and we had the cleaning lady walk into our room unannounced no knock nothing multiple days throughout our stay. My boyfriend has asthma and is allergic to black mold, we walked into the first room they gave us and within the first five minutes he could not breathe. The front desk was informed on the situation and let us change into the suite (because it was the only room available), the second room was covered in black mold on walls (which was covered by couch and chair like they were hiding it), lampshades, shower curtains, hair dryer, and BED SHEETS, again front desk was informed (we dealt with this room after scrubbing, considering it was the suite.) When we went back to renew our room for another week they told us we would have to pay the full price of the suite even though it was their fault we needed to switch rooms in the first place. We then switch rooms again, as soon as we walk in three roaches are crawling on the floor we inform the front desk and we were told in order to switch rooms we would have to pay a deposit fee on top of the one we had already paid so we decided we could deal with the roaches ourselves and spray the room, the day after spraying the room it got very bad to the point there were roaches crawling up and down the wall and scattering any time we moved something on the floor (my boyfriend killed over 200 roaches in this room.) With still having 3 days left on our stay we wanted to switch hotels or at the very least rooms but when we informed the front desk they told us there were no other rooms, refused to refund the stay, and were in no way offering to help or compensate us for our inconvenience, time, and money wasted on THEIR problems. They need to be reported to the health department immediately.

They charged me 50$ for a nonsmoking room to ensure that “you don’t use the room to smoke”. Never smoked a day in my life but they said I’d get it back after my stay if there weren’t any problems. There were plenty of problems.At the time I was living in my car and just wanted a shower. I should’ve just gone without the shower. Absolutely disgusting facilities. But it was past the point of getting a refund. I resented my stay, but the worst part is when that 50$ “Safety precaution” never came back.Never again. Don’t waste your money.

Rooms nothing like pictures. Window wont open,, asked desk for air freshener, none available. Smoking room with no ashtray. The room was clean, no bugs etc. Would not recommend to anyone...would not stay again. Even vending machines empty. Just too tired to go any further. Good restaurants near by tho.

We had roaches in the microwave, bathroom and headboard. Shower curtain had mold on the bottom of it. The door had a big gap at the bottom to where you can see out. The bathroom door can a hole at the bottom like it had been eating up by termites. Where the washer machine ,dry and ice machine was the walls and floors had mold and chip paint. The bathroom only had 1 wash cloth and towel. This place need to be close down

Wish I could rate half a star. Was placed in a room with a leaking air conditioner that had caused large puddles in the room and mold on the surrounding wall and mildew behind the bed. When I asked for another room I was told I had to wait for the manager in the morning. Day 2 manager never showed up. When asking for another room I was told there werent any and that I could not get a refund for the current and remaining day since I paid online. I tried multiple times to contact a manager or supervisor or someone in the call center to receive some type of resolution, they did not care to respond. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this hotel if you care about your health they do not treat you like valued customers.

Coming from a military person, this hotel is below even my Army standards, Ive stayed in plenty of sketchy places, this is the worst. Immediately left, not comfortable staying the night. See pictures, but even pictures cant capture the filth, construction, late night parking lot activity, mold, weed, and much more. I did get my money back though, so tats good.

Looks absolutely nothing like what’s in the pictures. My wife and I checked in and the lady at the front desk was very nice, which is the only reason they even got 1 star. We went around back to park, there was trash all over the parking lot, we figured no big deal and continued to our room. We walked up to the door to walk into the building, which had no lock on it so anyone could walk in, and another door propped wide open right next to it. We got to our room, as soon as we opened the door it stunk like mildew, we where both tired so we figured we’d give it a shot anyway. First thing we noticed was there where several holes in the wall, no lock on the door, and then we noticed there where no curtains or blinds to the window so anyone could walk right up to it and look in. My wife was really uncomfortable with that so I went to ask to switch to a different room, on my way out I noticed a roach on the wall next to the door. I go to the front desk and the lady up there was again very pleasant and switched us to another room. We walked into that room, which also smelled, there was writing on the picture in the bathroom with a number for solicitation, there where crumbs and what appeared to be dead skin in a majority of the drawers, the top lock on the door didn’t even come close to lining up, there was a white powdery substance, who knows what it was, on the dresser, the toilet wouldn’t flush, there was a plastic bag shoved in the wall where the piping for the shower head is, there was a ball of hair on the floor, the paint on the roof was peeling, there appeared to be what looked like hair in the bottom of the tub, and there where no light bulbs in the light on the night stand between the beds or the lamp on the floor. We grabbed our stuff, went to our car, then to the front desk and asked for a refund. As soon as I asked the lady at the front desk said yes without hesitation, assuming it happens a lot. Would not recommend at all to anyone.

Room looked clean until we moved the beds floor looked like it had not been swept in a while. An adult roach was crawling on the wall behind the tv and a small one in the bathroom. There arent enough outlets, the Room smelled musty. The hallway had trash in it that didnt get cleaned at all the week we were there and someone was smoking weed in the stairway. The location is fabulous but we wont be staying at that location again!

Still in the process of renovations. MUCH MUCH better than it used to be! They arent pet friendly nor do they offer pet fees. Cheap place if you need a place to sleep.

I felt like i was gonna get aids if i slept in that bed. I walked in saw dirty clothes and crackheads everywhere..pooky fromnewjack city was the door man ... like it was a crack convention dont go here.....unless you smoke.crack lol

This doesn’t deserve one star. It’s the absolute worst most dirty bug infested building I’ve ever been too. It’s very unfortunate because the rooms themselves are very nice and the bathroom is beautiful. We just couldn’t stay there once we saw BED BUGS! & other bugs crawling on the bed. The bed sheets were dirty ripped and peed on. It’s one of the worst experiences ever and when we talked to management they were kinda like whatever ok bye and didn’t refund our stay. The pool was closed filled with filth and a mattress... the fridge didn’t properly work neither did any of the amenities not even the ALARM CLOCK... we were so disappointed. I suggest you keep looking and DON’T waste your time here.

It wasnt the best but I was a place to stay. Didnt have light buld in the lamps, no iron or ironboard in the room, had to clean the tub before showering. BUt hey you get the price you pay for the service. Just need to clean up the tubs better and fix the minor problems listed below. Young lady at the front desk helped me the best she can

The only good thing about this place is Maria, from the 1st floor housekeeping staff. She is always smiling and helpful. She is great! If you have to stay here make sure it is on the first floor. It has been renovated....haha!! The dresser in our room was completely broken and falling apart. When we first checked in we were on the second floor...watch the roaches and bedbugs!!! And the room was really dirty too. Moved to first floor and it was just ok.

I checked in before 10pm and there were roaches everywhere. I spoke with the young lady the front desk and she moved us to different room. THAT room was also roach infested as well. The next morning I checked out before 11am and asked to speak with a property manager and when I told him about the experience he ignored me and refused a refund. He didnt apologize or even acknowledge the fact that I was clearly upset with the conditions. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE! If I could give negative stars I would ! Very disappointed and the property looks NOTHING like the pictures. The place is run down and the staff is rude

This hotel was by far the worst experience I ever had. I had to switch rooms 2 different times because I was unsatisfied. The walls looked horrible, the white sheets and white pillowcases were dirty, lights weren’t working and the rooms had roaches. I asked for a refund and when the front desk person came up to the room and accused me of smoking marijuana because he said he smelled smoke. I will NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN and would never recommend it

Made the mistake of not reading reviews before booking. There is a reason why it’s the cheapest one. So gross— bugs and hair everywhere. 3 out of the 5 lights in the room didn’t work. Smelled like smoke. People were yelling down the halls… please find somewhere else.

This hotel does not deserve 1 single star, not even a partial star. The hotel looks nothing like the pictures. When arriving, the pool was empty with mattresses around it. There were people just hanging out around the entrances smoking, so it made it very uneasy to walk in to the check in counter.When inside the hotel, it was musty smelling and cigarette smoke smell was intense.We decided to check the room as it was late, and the room was extremely foul smelling and dirty.We decided we needed to just find some place else to stay.We were told that we would get our money back, and I have yet to see it hit the bank card. This was almost a week ago.Dont stay here! The pictures are misleading! Thanks anyway.

Made a last minute decision to come to SC for a family members basic training graduation. We booked the first hotel we could find. Lesson learned PLEASE read reviews first. Upon entering the facility, it smelt like cigarette smoke. I know, I know I should’ve RAN but we had driven 8 hrs, it was 3am and we were sooo tired. I informed the receptionist ( who had on dirty pajamas) that I wanted a nonsmoking room, he informed me that there was a $50 deposit which eventually he waived. The first room would not unlock. The second room was a disaster, dimly lit, smelt like smoke, the AC unit was falling apart, the ironing board had a dirty stained cover on it. The bed was just horrible! Anywho, I requested a refund and ran to the Best Western across the street and we got the last room! Best Western was 10x better than OYO, hands down! OYO did refund me my money and offered me a discount on my next stay which I politely declined. Also, corporate seems to not care when I reported my findings.

Worst hotel experience in my life. The carpets were stained at entry from front to back and the hotel carried a smell that was unbearable! It was like walking into a crack house riddled with mold and water damage. (See Photos) I recommend staying away from this hotel at all cost. Very bad location and not well kept!

Awful Awful..Oyo on Berkshire Columbia SC needs to be Condemned....I had a dresser with NO drawers, toilet didnt flush, Mold all through the room, roaches, flies, NO bolt lock on room door, in & out back sliding door open ALL night & my room was 127@the back door, kids cussing yellin all in the halls@their parents & kids I mean younger than 10yrs old, walls thin you here everything, no hotel phone in, elevator broke, microwave dirty on inside & probably was one of the very first microwave ever made, fridge dirty on inside rusted on outside, floor tile gone & peelin, pics on line show nice clean hallway...NOT NO carpet nowhere in that building there was a leak in hall floor in different spots had water puddles..it was Awful & I booked through Priceline with NO Refund..I had to take a loss I Could NOT stay there. Guys hanging outside in back parking lot@4am I was otw to work. Very unsafe. I took pics if I find out somewhere to send to shut this place down. Awful Disgusting hotel...Negative 00 Stars...I think they have a NO Refund policy bc Oyo knows how Severe & Condemned the conditions are & ppl will want to cancel so thats how they make their money...Somthing Needs to be done about the horrible conditions of this Oyo Hotel..

No working toilet in our room and when the issue was brought up, no one cared. Holes in door so strangers can look in on us, had to cover it up ourselves. Room feels like it is falling apart.

Poor service breaking down, bugs in room and liars. They will tell you they dont decide refunds for rooms if you book through a 3rd party but they do. Hotel is nothing like the pics. Booking services should send a secret shopper there. They are the worst hotel ever. Liard and frauds. Dont spend your money there. They wont even refund you. Flies in the bsthroom is unacceptable.

This property seems to be an old property under new ownership/management and unfortunately they have a ways to go. The clientele seems fairly transient and not the type to make waves, so standards a low and it shows. The entire place from carpet to walls to furnishings needs refreshing. Everything is cracked, stained, dented or broken. There was plaster dirt and toenail clippings on the floor of our room, which I was given a broom and dustpan to attend to the matter myself. After disturbing some roaches while sweeping, my partner and I called it quits and checked out.Prognosis: Hire an executive housekeeper (that knows what shes doing); more attention to detail and accountability (possibly thru brand-standard audits); training for ownership in hospitality and professionalism. Overall, Not a lost cause, but in need of serious attention.

Yes it is cheap but between the guest fighting in the hallway and being harassed everyday entering the building from everyone smoking by the entrance is very annoying and just doesnt make it worth the little bit of money. Id rather spend a couple more dollars to go some place else. The water wouldnt stay warm in the shower. Its a no smoking property but the whole building smell like cigarettes. The room was nice but it just had a bed no chairs or table.

The rooms had a horrible smell, there was a dirty shirt on the floor, chair looked like it was picked up from the side of the road, peep hole was missing and hole was full of toilet paper, and multiple other things were damaged and unnerving. Asked for a refund and left immediately.

It seemed clean enough. There were no courtesy cups at all or an ice bucket. The exterior definitely needs to be cleaned up. There was miscellaneous service and cleaning items, parts, and a shopping cart all outside the main stairwell. The elevator was broken, 3 was the highest floor here. Definitely a huge inconvenience with children, being pregnant, or hauling a bunch of luggage.

Location is across the street from other hotels and restaurants. But, in an industrial area with chain link fence, abandoned cars, dirty parking spaces. The main walkway carpet indoors was dirty and it smelled like smoke and other things. The rooms were clean although with chipped paint and old lamps.

I got hit by a semi truck & couldn’t make the hotel. Booked hotel for 3 nights. It took me 2 days to contact them since none of their service lines worked and all they offered was a coupon for a night. Got charged even more than what we would have if we made it to the hotel LOL never booking with OYO again. Don’t do it.

This place is horrible they need to do better they have roaches and the place has tore up walls the smell was horrible when we first walked in the room I had to spray the room the tv was messed they have black dots in the tv and I think this is an extended stay I think people actually live here this hotel is horrible

Worst place to stay. DO NOT STAY HERE dirty is not the word to describe this place . I stayed during the covid19, motels are supposed to sanitize the rooms after each stay. The place has never been sanitized. The sheets were filthy, floor sticky, toilet moved when sitting on it, blids falling apart had to tie the curtains closed with some ear buds someone else had used to do the same, just gross. I took pictures of the sheets and hope to be able to post them to. DONT STAY HERE !!

Rooms ok. Was construction going on. pool closed but filthy as soon as you walk up. No contenetal breakfast. Only hot water and weak coffee. And the charge a 100.00 deposit. And the roaches killed like 5 that night. No ice machine the only vending machine was broken.

My stay was good. The room peephole was missing it was replaced with black electric tape. I used my own sheet that I brought and my own pillow case instead of laying my body on that bed. All and all you get what you pay for lol

I booked through Expedia as I always do, pictures online is nothing like it is when you arrive. It looks like an abandoned building and has been tore apart or is the process of being torn down. Very dirty and price is way to high.. If this hadnt been non refundable we would have not stayed. Never again and I will be contacting Expedia, this hotel needs to be taken off their site .

This hotel was... umm... interesting.The pictures can be deceiving. The whole atmosphere was unnerving. My friends thought I was walking into a crack house when we first arrived and checked in. There were bugs in our room. For some reason, there was a mixture in branding--Oyo and Econolodge. And there was a coming soon sign that was off-putting. Not to mention the zombie like guests walking around.

I was really scared about this place from the reviews. I was in a suite. It was a little dirty, but no roaches, bed bugs, or mouse poop in it. It was a super big room. It had two bathrooms. Not terrible, but dont get your hopes up for something fancy.

I want to put a 0 star!!! Is that possible? Gps couldnt find the hotel. No signs near street just a “oyo hotel coming soon” sign. Hotel smelled bad and just did not make me feel like i should stay there. Has a 150$ deposit!!! Rooms are 25-40 a night and you wanna charge a deposit?! While there and trying to check in, a lady with her family came out and asked for a new room because hers was in horrible conditions. Needless to say we did not stay and went to a motel 6 😪 and that was a step up

I asked front desk if they would give me the shuttle to the airport as I was checking out this morning the lady at the desk said we dont have that option at this hotel I said I clicked it when I paid for the hotel and I asked the front desk as I was checking in last night, she said nope we dont offer that service, not to mention there was roaches in my hotel I found them when I got up this morning in the bathroom .... if anyone was wondering it is nearly impossible to get a taxi at 4am I called every taxi service lyft was the only one that was able to help me

The rooms could be in a little bit better shape but this place has come up a lot since compared to what it was a little while ago theres not an as much bad things going on I guess the owners have cleaned it up a little bit and it looks like theyve redone the rooms a little bit I probably I would definitely stay here again

Shut down this building. This building is not up to par to safety regulations, or health regulations. There was construction everywhere, roaches in the room, shower was not working correctly, bathroom countertop moved, mold on hallway walls, mattress at the pool which we found that has been there for a month, and to top it all off its a crack house.

The room was fine, but the guest are just to damn loud. Had a hard time sleeping. If it wasnt for noisy guest rating be higher.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Parking lot was filthy, stairwells smelled like piss, I had my daughter in the hotel and the entire area smelt like weed. Bathrooms were disgusting. I would personally never stay or recommend anybody for this hotel again !!!

Waste of money even tho it was only 114 for two nights.I walk in my room the bathroom door is peeling the microwave is rusted cabinets old and nasty mold in them.The place is falling apart.WiFi sucks super slow (like 5mbps slow).I would wish staying at this place on my worst enemy nasty place.

There was mold in both room there was roaches in both rooms and one of our rooms the shower wouldnt turn on.

It was a place to sleep. Two people shared king size bed. When we both laid on thebed, we slid to the middle! Found drugs in bathroom floor. Obviously need improvements!

The receptionist was very polite and nice let me see the room before I purchased it the prices were good the room is very clean and comfortable hireright did not have a microwave in it for like she told me other than that it was very nice for the money I would gladly stay again

Got my room 230 and then when i get there the hot water does not work bed bugs and the toliet started leaking.... when i ask them dor a refund or give me another room they told me no they dont do that and the man that own the places told me that and i had to wait until 12 when his wife come back knowing check put time is 11... and writing on here seems like it dnt work and telling them does not work im thinking im jus gon have to take other actions and call my lawyer... i have picture of the bed bugs its like 5 or 6 picture.. so to all that wanna stay here its alot of problems n u will not get no help....

Room was a nice size for the price of 57$ for 1 night the bed was comfy no bed bugs were seen and there was two chairs a mini fridge and a microwave decent shower but im5,8 and was taller then the shower head so that was kinda difficult bad area not the safest area but no one messed with us and it was pretty quite good and fast service !

Roaches, toilet wont flush propertly IN ANY ROOM they switch us to, holes on the wall. Smells... The place is trashed I guess you get what you pay for

I really like the staff, as they are helpful, professional and friendly. This place is very budget friendly and interestingly located. Very near many eateries as well as easy access to highway I-20 and Two Notch Road/ US 1.

Horrible, disgusting, smelly, holes in walls stains on sheets and carpets,mold, a/c barely works , pool drained with dirty mattress on pool, very ghetto and feels dangerous... I know this was really cheap but not worth it at all

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone! The online pictures are deceiving, theres mold everywhere, the TV didnt work, the sheets where dirty and the staff is rude guess u get what u pay for $52!! DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!!!

I dont know how they are still open. They treat certain employees poorly and put their lives at risk for nothing and dont pay them enough. There was also a bed bug when I stayed there a while ago and did notjing about it but make a sad apology.

Not a good time experience at all...very noisy in the hall way, late night hours, .a lady knocked at my door asking for a cigarette. But the hotel over all was alright

The hotel was nice, The front desk was very helpful. I have stayed there once before the floors needed to be swept again and the bathtub was dirty.

They come into your room when you’re not there after already telling them you don’t need anything. That is not what housekeeping suppose to do if you’re staying multiple days

The cleaning ladies are thieves, had a beer in the fridge, when I came back it was gone, nobody else could get in my room besides me and my dad, so I know they did it

I arrived at 3:00 a.m. I did not get a check in until after that I was here in a business trip the room that I got smell like somebody died in it I called down to the desk they told me there was no rooms available and they could not refund my money I set up all night I could not sleep my clothes still smell like that nasty roomI stay at the Oyo every chance I get I love staying at the oil but this trip was a disaster

Wasnt too impressed with my overall stay. Pictures are far better than what youre actually getting and if you drive a lowered vehicle I recommend you stay away.

Walked in smelled like cigarettes it took 15 minutes before someone came to the desk to check us in the room was disgusting as if someone was just in the room trash bags left all outside the property making it look 3 times as dirty with all the ripped blinds and stains in the windows

This place is horrible there were baby Roach everywhere some info on pics noisy till about 1 am then quiets down but the construction going on in one of the rooms starts at 7am so not much chance for sleep

Roach infested and half way done remodel work.

The room is sitting on bath room leakWhile walking in the room water keeps coming up from under the floor.

TERRIBLE! don’t book representatives are rude & Hotel was not clean.

Cant beat the prices but the 100 dollar deposit is ridiculous

Can confirm there are cockroaches

It perfect for those who wish to save money for work out of town or vacation

Other than roaches getting in my PlayStation it was ok
