My best friend booked us a hour massage for my upcoming birthday and hands down this experience was fantastic! Gabby and Raven were WONDERFUL! They were very professional and made us feel comfortable. The facilities were quiet and very clean. The vibe was nice. I was under Gabby’s care and it was a very relaxing hour. She really listened to my target areas. Thank you both!

Quite literally, the BEST facial I have ever had. I’ve been looking for a new place to go for a bit now. I wanted to go somewhere where I didn’t have to talk to anyone, where the prices weren’t unbearable and the esthetician knew what they were doing. The online scheduling was super easy. I love that they have Saturday appointments. I am very introverted and really like to relax when I come to a spa. There also wasn’t a 12 page questionnaire. Kaitlyn surpassed my expectations. The “Signature” facial was beyond words. I was so relaxed and my face has never been cleaner. I will 10/10 be going back. I will also be bringing my teens and telling my friends.

Desiree is who I have been going to for a couple of years now to get a Brazilian Wax. She does an amazing job! She goes the extra mile to make sure your wax lasts! She pays attention to detail and there is no hair left behind. Getting your most precious part waxed is no fun but Desiree makes it a comfortable experience and my wax lasts longer from other places Ive been. Book her! You will not be disappointed and pleased with the results!

I absolutely love this spa! Every service that I have had done here has been amazing. I’ve gotten facials, massages, and a lash lift/tint done here and they exceed my expectations every time. The last facial I had was with Desiree and she KILLED IT! 100% recommend

I enjoy my experience every time I visit and they are consistent with their wonderful service. Diamond is the absolute best, her work is beautiful and durable. Pictures could never do my nails justice and hand photos are awkward, but they still look fab!

How do you charge 100 for 1 hour and 275 for 2 hours, I’ve been an lmt for 8 years and have never seen such a dumb pay scale. A nice reputable company doesn’t charge 175 for an additional hour when the first hour is only 100. You’d be better off scheduling 2 single hour massages back to back to manipulate their outrageous pricing. If you need an amazing therapist that doesn’t price gouge, go to any other massage facility nearby.Edit: on the phone I said the prices were absolutely ridiculous, nobody was cussed out as the call lasted all of 15 seconds to confirm pricing. I can afford what ever service I please but what I won’t do is get taken advantage of on pricing for a sub par “spa”. How disgraceful of you to assume I can’t afford your low rating spa compared to the others that are in the surrounding area.

My first experience at Occo was both positive and negative.The spa is split into two sections. Upstairs are massages and facials. Downstairs are nails and hair.I had a massage with Raven. Others mentions her in the reviews and I can confirm. She did a fabulous job, it was the best massage I’ve had in Columbia. Then I had a facial with Brittany which was equally great.My mani/pedi was however kind of a disaster. The nail tech was really really sweet but did a really bad job. First I noticed she was shaking a lot and thought she might have been sick, in which case she should not have come to work, but then as we talked she said she had been out drinking the night before so I’m guessing she was super hungover. While it’s totally fine to do whatever she wants, it’s really unprofessional to talk about drinking late into the night before coming to work. As a client, it makes me feel like you’re not going to do a good job. She did fine with the cuticles and nail shaping but the nail painting was a total disaster. She did two coats of color but they didn’t line up so some areas of my nails look lighter or darker. Then she could not line up the top coat layer with the color layers so it looks kinda odd. Also on some fingers she put too much polish and it shrunk while drying and looks all wrinkly. For the pedicure, she did a bad job exfoliating, so much so that my feet felt rougher after the pedicure than before. When I got home I finished scrubbing myself. Good thing I can’t see my toes as well as I can see my fingers because I’m guessing the polish looks funky there too. This nail tech said she has done nails for ten years, I was surprised since I feel like I could have done a better job at home myself. Overall, the whole nail team and area felt unprofessional. Another nail tech took a call on her apple watch while giving a pedicure and all the clients could hear her conversation about when she’d get home and what’s for dinner. Nearby, a front desk employee was either sorting dirty laundry or folding clean laundry. Either way, that should not be done in an area where clients can see. They do have “employee only” areas.Overall, the upstairs level where they do the massages and facials is super professional and I would say that it deserves the “luxury spa” title. I would definitely come back for those services, but for anyone reading this, for nail services, you are better off going elsewhere. I have had much better mani/pedis at other places in Columbia for a better price. The downstairs area where they do nails is unprofessional and definitely does not fit in a “luxury spa”. Massage: 5 star. Facial: 5 star. Nails: 1 star.EDIT: the Spa director contacted me to make situation right. They have been really kind and interested in hearing more about my experience and making appropriate changes to improve the customer experience. I am bumping my original review from 3 to 4 stars.

Had my first facial in December and the esthetician was nice. Had some facial scaring in two places. She was getting oil out with some type of instrument and dug too far into my skin. She gave some recommendations about some other discoloration and was nice, but I’m disappointed that my skin seems to have permanent scarring. I would not go back.

Gift for mom. Absolutely loved her facial but said masseuse and massage wasn’t her cup of tea. Plans on returning for another facial soon.

I had a great massage experience with Brittany. This is my second time seeing her and it definitely did not disappoint. All around a very relaxing experience.

Five stars. Once again Karens massage left me feeling more relaxed than I have in weeks. Shes amazing. The salon staff is so welcoming, and the atmosphere is very serene. Its the perfect place to let the stresses of the world slip away.

This place was UNBELIEVABLE. I was so impressed by the quality of care here. The massage therapist I had (Sean) was so incredibly kind, thorough and just plain good! The environment felt luxurious. Front desk staff was kind and helpful and informative and I would absolutely recommend going here.

Brittany for the very best Swedish massage!!!!! She has given me my mobility back.I have terrible chronic pain but since I started going to Brittany once a week I actually have entire days where I dont feel pain.

I wish I would have read reviews before I booked. I will reiterate others sentiments: massage was fantastic (so amazing) and the atmosphere is clean, nice, and relaxing. Pedicure? Big stretch calling it a luxury spa with that service. Massage chair is broken, cold water, and overall just average work. I get that in the grand scheme of things a broken massage chair isn’t the end of the world, but I tried turning on another one, and it also didn’t work…yet front desk said it was only one that’s broken. Yikes! Why advertise as luxury if your equipment is broken? Why not use the “working” chairs? Ultimately a massage chair is not promised in the fine print I suppose, but it feels like false advertising to have broken chairs at a luxury spa. Bad business practice. Plus a pedicure is expensive. Get your moneys worth somewhere else. I feel like it’s important for people to know this stuff, which is why I’m taking the time to leave a review.Everyone was nice and I didn’t have any issues with rude staff (minus the potential lie), and I get it’s just a chair, so I’m not giving a low star review, but am trying to be honest. Get an amazing massage, but do your toes somewhere else.

I felt so pampered! I dont know how someone could wax your eyebrows but still seem incredibly gentle. Beautiful facility. Great experience

I have been to this spa 3 times, I had massages and a facial, good massage and facial service, but when I arrive I always feel very uncomfortable because there are ALWAYS 3 or 4 girls who look like old gossips, they are very rude when they receive you, they talk and They laugh as if they are talking about you, it is very unpleasant and uncomfortable. I will not return again just for that, if I am paying for a service at a spa I expect to feel welcome and I definitely never felt that way in this place. I will never go again for that reason

I got my nails done here for prom and they were absolutely horrific. My nails are damaged beyond repair and are now falling off.

OCCO provided a great experience to me today. Karen Hardison gave me a Swedish massage today. Spectacular service. Her mastery really does show. I’ll come back and hopefully get to book her again. Coming back tomorrow for a facial and can’t wait!!

Absolutely LOVED my microdermabrasion facial! Katie was professional and let me know what was going on with the products and then let me enjoy the facial in peace throughout the process. I haven’t felt this rejuvenated since before kids 😂

I had always heard great things about this place, but never got around to going until the attorney I work for treated me with a gift card to OCCO and mentioned that I would absolutely love it. She was right! So far, I have had a pedicure, brow and lashes tinted, and a lash tint and lift. The front desk staff have always been very friendly and have answered all of my questions. I wish I can recall the lady who gave me a pedicure because she was so sweet and did a wonderful job! The past 2 appointments I’ve had were with Kaitlyn E. and she tinted my brows and lashes and just did a lash tint and lift, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! I’ve always had anxiety with people having to touch my face so I tend to be a bit twitchy and down right awkward haha but she’s very sweet and funny so I never felt anxious at all. The results are amazing and I’m now obsessed lol You guys are great and I will always look forward to going to my appointments at OCCO in the future!

Raven massaged me today and this is the best massage I’ve ever had!! I’m 62 and have had many massages.

I had my first facial yesterday with Kaitlyn (l picked her solely for her name) and it was fantastic! She is super friendly and was gentle when doing extractions. I was offered a beverage when l checked in and the vibes of the treatment room where phenomenal. I’m absolutely coming back and am even thinking of booking a nail or hair appointment since they also offer those services!

Staff was so very attentive and thorough with her body massage! I brought my friend with me and we did our sessions in the same room, just need to call and ask for it. We both left feeling refreshed like newborns! :)

I had the absolute best experience at this spa! I got the Vista B package and it was massage,facial,and pedicure! Brittany did my facial was lovely and informative. Raven did my massage had beautifully working hands and was just the right amount of everything for it o ve peaceful. Last but surely not least Kelsey did my pedicure she did a wonderful job 👏🙌😊. To put the icing on the cake the sweet hostesses made sure I was comfortable and brought me a mimosa while I waited briefly in-between before getting my pedicure. Hands down great experience I will be back!

I went for a pedicure and enjoyed my experience! Carolina did a great job, and the Occo pedicure is relaxing and thorough. The only negative was that the massage chair didn’t do anything when I tried the remote, which was kind of a bummer. It either didn’t work or maybe wasn’t plugged in?

Great estheticians and the pedicures are very good, though Id like a few more 5 Free or even 3 Free polish options. In a perfect world, Id go to a salon with a CND trained nail tech, but that isnt available in Columbia, SC so this is the closest I can get.

I love having pedicures here. No hidden fees and lots of great techs!

I had a massage today by Sean. WOW! It was amazing! He is professional and I was totally comfortable throughout the session. The ambiance was peaceful and relaxing. I booked another massage with him before I left today! Book with Sean today, you wont regret it!

Brittany did my facial and she did not disappoint! She was thorough, knowledgeable, and so friendly. Her massage techniques were fabulous and I enjoyed the extractions. Karen did a wonderful job on my massage. She was kind and did an amazing job on my neck and scalp. Great experience!

I have been using Occo since 2017. Since Covid, I think they’ve had less quality nail service. But I thought this might’ve been taking a turn in the right direction as I have gotten excellent service my last two times with Diamond. But something went wrong this time and on the tenth day of my OPI gel manicure I noticed an entire nail was bare. The gel had fallen off. Then the next day another. I called and Jess was very sweet and talked to the manager. She came back and told me they do not actually guarantee the gel manicures to last two weeks and that they would only fix the ones that have fallen off. I have two more nails that the gel is separating from the nail. I looked up how long gel manicures should last and it is two to three weeks.This is not the level of service I expect from Occo. I’m thinking twice about ever going back.

Occo spa is amazing. Their staff is so friendly and absolutely amazing. Charlena Hall did an amazing job with my mani-pedi. She puts so much effort in her job.

My boyfriend and I had massages with Raven and Sean. Raven was very attentive and gave the best, most relaxing massage! She really went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and enjoying my experience. Sean was very professional and gave a great massage too!

Had the most amazing massage today by Raven! The stylist at the desk was so very helpful recommending hair products. The receptionist at the desk was super pleasant and bubbly as well. Don’t typically leave reviews, but feel I should today because I had such a great experience with everyone I encountered today!

I have used a few different massage therapists and people for facials and have had amazing experiences each time. Today I did a Dreamy Wonder and 90 min massage with Sean. He was extremely professional and respectful of personal privacy and provided an excellent experience. I will absolutely rebook with him. He is very knowledgeable and addressed all of my problem areas with a very technical approach. It truly felt like therapy! Taylor did my facial and flew me away! Love her personality and attention to creating a wonderful facial.

Listen! I am almost nervous about this review, as I really dont want to share Brittney with anyone! I had THE most amazing experience today at Occo Luxury Spa. It was my first time there, and youd never know it with the way Brittney treated me like family. Since COVID, my skin has been CRAZY. Mascne and other breakouts had me super insecure. Brittney did my facial and was AMAZING. She explained what was causing my face to breakout, what to do to prevent and treat it, and what she was doing every step of the way. Seriously, you will feel right at home here. I left feeling rejuvenated and hopeful. So excited to go back next month. The acne facial was $120 and lasted 1.5 hours. When it was over, Brittney showed me some products she thought would really help clear my skin clear up. I bought them all! Simply put...Youll love this gem!

I had services with Hiadia this past week and I cant wait to book again! It was my first time getting a lash lift and brow tint, and she was very knowledgeable and made sure I got exactly what I wanted! She was super friendly and easy to talk to, as well as being a very peaceful presence during my facial when I just wanted to relax and zone out! Overall, the spa was wonderful and I will be back soon!

We were in town for a graduation and decided to do a couples massage here. It was my first massage, and my therapist did a great job! I wish I could remember his name. I was completely relaxed (which is hard for me to do, I’m a ball of stress) I even fell asleep for a moment. My fiancé enjoyed his as well but felt his therapist could have accommodated more of the Swedish massage like he had asked. Overall we were very pleased with the experience. I did like the ambiance of the whole salon, very modern/industrial. Yummy smelling lotions available as well! Good job OCCO!

Had the best experience! My husband booked me for the Mother’s Renewal and it was relaxing and everything I needed! The massage was the best and the facial was also a nice experience. Overall, I would do it again!

I had never heard of OCCO, but decided to give it a try because I had a gift card. I had a fantastic experience and will definitely be coming back. The atmosphere is relaxing and they were very professional. Nay was very thorough and did a great job on my manicure and pedicure - she was attentive to detail and a pleasure to talk to!

I am extremely disappointed and slightly aggravated. I bought the most expensive luxury spa package that this place offers for my girlfriend for our two year anniversary. I didn’t mind spending the $325 because I was told this was THE BEST place in town to go for a luxury spa day. So I picked the best package offered for the highest price. It’s literally called The Ultimate. So, buying the best offered, highest price package I would have thought my girlfriend would have been treated like royalty and been given the best services, but apparently not. She did not have a very good time due to the attitude of the staff and poor customer service. She was there for 5 and a half hours and was not offered a drink even once. The first technician was the body scrub, wrap, and massage tech and she was rude and made my girlfriend feel like she was an annoyance. She didn’t ask her any questions about how she wanted her massage even though it was supposed to be a 60 minute custom massage. And between technicians she said she felt like she was just rushed through. Then the girl who did her mani/pedi was brand spanking new and didn’t know how to do anything but the most basic paint. She didn’t even use the bubbles in the spa during the pedicure, and the water was cold! The worst part was that the “ultimate” package only came with absolutely minimal paint and if you wanted anything fancier it was extra. Then why did I buy the ultimate package? There’s not even a package listed that contains the best of everything they offer. To be honest I would have paid the extra to get the gel paint or do a French manicure but they did not offer it to me, they offered it to my girlfriend and she was there on a gift certificate. Plus she asked the girl if she could upgrade to a French manicure and the girl said she didn’t even know how to do a French manicure finish! The only reason I’m giving them 3 stars is because the facial technician was absolutely perfect! My girlfriend is telling everyone she knows that if she could have gone somewhere else she would have and she will not recommend this place to anyone or ever go back!

I had the most amazing experience with Jocelyn! She was so kind and genuine with me . I could can she loves what she does, when giving me my facial! She took her time with me and explained the benefits of the products I was receiving. She was extremely gentle with my face especially since I have sensitive skin. She definitely loves what she practices! I will definitely come back to her! Book with Jocelyn you will be so happy you did!

Amazing. Ive visited Occo numerous times, however, this was my first detox service. April was very courteous and did a fantastic job! My sister and sister-in-law both enjoyed their deep tissue massages. Next time, I will pair a massage with the detox.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and thought they had great customer service. This is why I debated posting a review but I got dip nails and was not very happy with the way they turned out. My nails were not smooth, there’s was a large bump in the middle of each nail. I had two nails chip within one week. By 2 and 1/2 weeks I was missing 2 nails and had chips in most of the other nails. I tried a different salon in the area to compare the dip manicures and did not experience any of these issues.

I had an amazing experience at OCCO Luxury Spa. I admittedly had not gotten my hair done in a few years, so I went to see Emily for a cut and Balayage. She is FANTASTIC. Emily is truly an artist, and she was able to make my hair healthy and beautiful. She made me feel so comfortable, and she clearly is fabulous at what she does. I would recommend her services to anyone!

The best spa in Columbia! I started going about a month after they opened and have gotten manicures, pedicures, massages, waxing, and facials and they are seriously the best. I will go to anyone because not only are they all great at what they do, but theyre also all super friendly and easy to talk to. Ive also gotten spray tans and they are wonderful and last longer than any other place Ive gone to. Would definitely recommend!

I am a college student here at UofSC and I was super nervous to find somewhere new for waxing being that I was too far from home to go to my normal spa. I have been nothing but impressed with the professionalism at this establishment and the services provided. I have only ever been to Karla for services, and she does such an amazing job. She is so kind and loves what she does. All the employees, including the front desk staff, have been nothing but extremely friendly and helpful. I will never go anywhere else in Columbia for waxing services! Please do not listen to the bad reviews and experience OCCO for yourself!

Raven was amazing! She gave me a prenatal massage, and she is in the right career because she has healing hands. She gave extra attention to the areas that have been bothering me lately, and I walked out feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. The young woman with brown hair (didnt catch her name) at reception was very professional and courteous as well. And Esther is amazing with nails! I had a mani/pedi and it was great. Overall, great experience.

My mom and I both got facials today by Lea. It was simply amazing! We both felt so relaxed. The spa was clean and she was very friendly! Plus all the products she used on us smelled so great and the head/neck massage was awesome! Thank you so much Lea! We’ve already booked another appointment!

I absolutely love my facials with Brittany! Shes the bomb.Unfortunately I had issue at check out, not the first time. I had to ask 3 times! That I wanted to rebook and needed an appointment. The receptionist refused to even check if the appointment I was asking for could be accommodated. She kept arguing over and over.. She let me walk out, thats how you loose a customer

Ive been twice now and feel I can leave an honest review. The spa is conveniently located in downtown Columbia and using the online portal to book appointments was easy and straightforward. They do have somewhat limited designated parking, but thats to be expected for the busy commercial area. I did not have a problem finding a place to park in a metered spot very close. The building itself is beautiful and inviting and located in a safe and well-populated area. It looks and feels like a luxury spa. The receptionist was friendly, and I was quickly greeted and signed in. I havent used the hair or nail services, but the areas look bright and clean. The upstairs massage area is very inviting and clean as well. Raven is a fantastic massage therapist, and I highly recommend her! Overall, its a very nice, clean spa in a great location.

I received a massage from Occo and it was amazing! I saw Carrie and she was really nice and did a great job! She was very knowledgeable and worked on spots that Ive never had anyone work on before. I also loved the set up and decor. The spa and staff were very inviting. I cant wait to try out the other services!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Diamond and the rest of the OCCO team are so friendly, accommodating, and skilled at what they do. I know that after my visit I will be relaxed and have the best mani/pedi. The environment is welcoming, and Diamond is so knowledgeable and able translate my vague ideas into the exact nail design I want. Best place to get your nails done in Columbia by far.

I went for a haircut.. Jennifer did my hair. She is absolutely friendly and understands what you ask for. Listens to your needs before she starts.The only reason I gave a four is because I had to wait almost 40min.

5 STARS!! 10 out of 10 would recommend!! I’ve had massages all over while on tours. But never had a massage like Raven’s until 3 years ago. She has the best hands and truly knows what she’s. Stress, body aches, mental strains and EVERYTHING are washed away when I leave. I actually have to sit in my car and take a nap or wait until I’m “back.” HA! The staff is pleasant and the inside is nice and peaceful. Gonna go see how busy Raven is this weekend.

I booked a couples massage for my parents as a gift 3 weeks in advance and received a voicemail message the day before saying they needed to switch therapists, which was fine. The day of my parents show up to their appointment to find out they had booked that therapist with other clients and had no one for their massages. They claimed to have left multiple messages canceling, which was untrue; I only received the one letting us know they had to switch therapists. I had even called several days before to confirm the appointment and that they would be there, only for them to be turned away with nothing more than an oops we’re sorry.Completely unacceptable response to over scheduling accident on their fault.

So my experience was average at OCCO. I will not be going back, for a couple reasons. I’m allergic to certain perfumes (I wrote that on the form) and after my massage my eyes were swollen and I couldn’t stop sneezing so if you have allergies DO NOT go here. My massage was extremely rough, and I’m more sore than I was before I came in.However, the atmosphere is beautiful!! I love the decor and everything but I was overall disappointed. The lady who did my massage was super sweet, but just way too rough for my body.

I absolutely love Occo! I’ve booked nail, spray tan, and facial services with them - all have been welcoming and relaxing experiences. Jocelyn has been doing my facials for quite some time now, and I always leave her feeling refreshed and more confident than before!

I’m giving 4 stars because overall, it was a good experience. I was gifted the Ultimate package by my boyfriend - this includes a 75 minute steamy wonder, 60 minute massage, 60 minute facial and mani/pedi.The ladies at the front are not welcoming. If you are expecting the southern hospitality that most of us grew up with, you’ll not find it there. I left a $75 tip on a $339 check and was asked if that was supposed to be split by the three people I saw or if I intended to tip more to be split. That’s over 20%. Further, I was never told there would be an up charge for the removal of the gel polish on my toes so, there’s that.My massage/steamy wonder started a little after 9 even though I was there on time, and was done right before 11. Not to split hairs, but it was supposed to be 2 hours and 15 minutes total. I probably got closer to 1 hour and 45 minutes. After that, they had me sit in the lounge area for about 10-15 minutes while I waited to go to my facial, that also was a little shy of an hour. I didn’t complain because both the masseuse and esthetician were great. They put me to sleep. If I were to go again, I’d probably book it at a later time and get there early so I’m seen when my appointment starts. Unfortunately they open at 9 so no getting there early this time.The last part of the package is the mani/pedi. I won’t lie, this was probably something that I could’ve/should’ve skipped. My gel polish was perfect after more than a month. I went last Saturday and the polish on both my nails and toes has already started peeling off. The chairs for pedicures do not massage and honestly are uncomfortable. The lady that did my nails/toes was really rough. I’ve never had my toenails hurt before. They did there. She also wasn’t super personable and when she did speak to me, it was in a condescending manner like I was a child. I’m 30, I don’t need that and I don’t talk to people that way either, especially clients.Again, I’d go back, but would skip on the mani/pedi and spend that money getting them done elsewhere. The massage and the facial though, were excellent. Someone mentioned mimosas on here and I saw other girls drinking them but I was never offered one despite clearly being old enough and spending over $400, meanwhile they were there for nails only and looked like they were maybe 18/19.

I was invited by my daughter with a few more people as a treat to OCCO for pedicures. The tech was okay but the overall experiences was lacking. I expected more than dipping my feet into water for a minute and a subpar scrubbing. Some of the massage chair did not work. So, I could not get the full relaxing feeling. My daughter after paying for her party of people and waiting for the entire party to finish. Was told by one of the of tech to move so a client could pass like she was not a client. Will not recommending this place to anyone....

I am totally amazed by Occos lead stylist, Gen. She clearly knows her stuff as she was able to figure out what shampoo I use and my coloring history for a service I had done 17 months ago. Even better than that we had a really candid conversation about what realistic options were for my hair and budget. Shes definitely earned my trust and although we decided not to pursue any services atm, she will definitely be my stylist from now on. Also, check out her insta gen_hart_hair and ask about hotheads (color didnt match right for me, but maybe youll have better luck!)

Will not be going back. My first appointment here was amazing. Great environment and staff. I go today and take a friend and it was awful. I was rushed in by the rude lady who did my pedicure. Extremely unprofessional, my friend was not greeted and the pedicure was very painful. Not to mention the services were not all inclusive as they were supposed to be and major corners were cut. I left feeling very tense and uncomfortable. Worst pedicure Ive ever had. I will not return and will advise anyone against scheduling here.

Raven left me speechless after my massage. Her hands are a godsend... Taylor was wonderful for my facial - seeing as I had never had one before. Beth was courteous and delightful to have a conversation with as I got my mani and pedi done! I will be back to see these lovely ladies!

I have been a few times for massages due to neck tension. Raven is AMAZING!! She listens to my requests and is sensitive to the amount of pressure applied. Highly recommend!

I will never again get my nails done anywhere other than OCCO Skin Studio. The staff does a wonderful job, and the facilities are extremely clean and well-kept. I have never had a gel manicure last as long and look as great as when I get my nails done here. I highly recommend MoniQue!

Best pedicure i have ever had

I just went in for a hot-stone massage, but I couldve stayed at OCCO all day. They had the most beautiful decor and thoughtful touches like custom bottled water. My massage therapist, Andrea, was the best Ive had in Columbia, even though I was able to book my appointment just a couple of hours in advance. Ill absolutely be going back for all of the services they offer.

I’ve been looking for a lash tech to do my extensions ever since moving to Columbia. I went to Hiadia at OCCO for the first time today and everything was AMAZING. My lashes and brows look phenomenal! I will definitely be back

Coming from Southern California to college at UofSC, I was nervous about finding qualified and knowledgeable estheticians, massage therapists and nail technicians. Once I stepped into OCCO I knew I found my place!The spa is modern, clean and I’ve always been greeted with a glass of wine and friendly smile. I even started getting my hair done with Emily and am so happy I found her.Every esthetician I have had has been so enjoyable and detail oriented- I have had facials, waxing and lash extensions with them and have never left unhappy. My massages have also been such a treat, the rooms they have are so relaxing.They use OPI and Essie for mani pedis and I always have fun conversations with the nail techs, they book quickly for nails because all of them are fantastic so I recommend making an appointment in advance.If you’re looking for a great service, look no further. I am constantly giving my friends gift cards for their birthdays and holidays because everyone should treat themselves to an OCCO visit!

I got a gift certificate for Occo, so I decided to get a pedicure. I made an appointment a couple weeks in advance, but had to reschedule due to a situation that came up. I called to cancel several days before my appointment, but they couldnt even find me on their record. So I made another appointment for the next week. The morning of my cancelled appointment, I got a notification reminder from them - I quickly called and explained that I had already cancelled. They said they had me on their record for that appointment, but they still allowed me to cancel. So it appears they are unorganized and do not do a good job of keeping their record accurate.So I show up early for my rescheduled appointment - I did not feel the staff were welcoming. I waited for a while - I was not called back until 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. The person doing my pedicure seemed to rush - it was supposed to last 30 minutes. However, because she was late in pulling me back, her next appointment had already shown up a few minutes after she started on me.Overall, the atmosphere was clean and relaxing, yet the staff were unwelcoming and did not show enough attention to detail with my appointment issues. Also, the woman doing my pedicure was not on time and thus rushed through my service. I will not be visiting Occo again, nor recommending it.

I had a spa package my mani/pedi with Diamond were great, my prenatal massage with Hunter was the best massage I’ve ever had. But my facial with Nadesta was horrible! She was rough and I couldn’t wait for it to be over. She didn’t tell me what she was doing or using. My face was dry, and irritated.I now have dry itchy rashes all over my face.

I have never felt compelled to right a review about a business before but I am very upset over the handling of my missed appointment.I have been a waxing client of Occo since 2018 and have always enjoyed a professional service by the technicians but today I am really unimpressed and very disappointed.I normally receive a text from the salon reminding me of my appointment but for some reason none was sent last week so when the salon called me at 10.05am on Saturday asking if I was running late I was very surprised. I offered to come into the salon anytime that day to see my technician Taylor but was told she was fully booked.I rebooked with her for Thursday 12/24 and thought no more about it until about an hour later the reception called me and asked me to attend either Monday or Tuesday as it was the end of their pay period, I said I would try to accomodate in the evening and reception said they would check with Taylor for me and call me back. I called them and advised that I could not come any sooner than the 24th, at that time reception informed me that as I had missed the appointment completely I would be charged the full amount due. I asked to speak with the manager and was informed she was not available but that they would have her call me Monday. I called her today and explained what had transpired and that I have never missed any of my previous appointments for the service and wanted to come in on 24th and she was very curt and dismissive with me in the conversation. She said there was no leeway at all despite my client history with the salon and that it was my responsibility to ensure I remembered my appointments. She suggested I go to Urban Nirvana salon for my future services as they dont have a no show charging policy. I myself have been a hair stylist for over 20 years and understand the frustration of clients who repeatedly no show or cancel at last minute but that is not the case here, this is the first time I have had this happen with this salon and now I will not be returning as a client . I asked the manager Andrea for the owners phone number to bring this situation to her attention and was rudely told by Andrea that shes the only management person I can speak to , shes not going to give me the owners personal cell I indicated I wanted the owners business contact info not her personal. I really think that this was handled so very poorly and the manager is not representing this salon at all professionally.

I love this place! People are friendly and professional. The place is gorgeous and clean. I have my nails done here and facials. Today I had a couples massage... and let me tell you, it was perfection. Adam and Keisha did an extraordinary job. We couldnt stop talking about it throughout the day .

My time at Occo was absolutely devine. The interior was beautiful and extremely clean. The staff made me feel so welcome and comfortable! I had The Vista spa package which consisted of a massage, facial, and a manicure. It was my first time having a massage and facial and I could not have picked a better location! Arlene did my massage and she was so sweet and gave me the best massage. Jocelyn did my facial and she was so nice and made my skin feel amazing and Monique did my nails and she did a great job! I will most definitely book again with these three ladies. If you are looking to get pampered this is definitely the place to go.

Ventured over to OCCO for my first Brazilian after a raving recommendation. Karla is amazing! She made me feel incredibly comfortable and the service was not unreasonably uncomfortable. The staff is very helpful and highly qualified. I came in with overuse injuries and the massage services had me back on my feet in no time. On a side note I feel highly certain that there is no allergy that causes eyelashes to spontaneously remove themselves from the body.

I should have known from the first interaction when I called and spoke to the woman at the desk that this probably wasnt what I was looking for but, I was desperate. I could not find any information on the salon anywhere and when I asked the girl on the phone about my texture hair, she said that the stylists dont offer treatments for MY texture hair. I have had pedicures done here many times and I was meant to feel like a minority and that they dont service afro-american hair.

Occo fell short of my expectations to say the least. This was my second time going and I dont think Ill be back. I took my bridal party there the day before my wedding and just felt very rushed and kind of uncomfortable the whole time. I got there early to pick out my color and when it was time to go back she told me there were a lot of customers after me (even though we were still right on time-but ok!) then moving from the pedicure to the manicure she lost the polish that I had picked out and asked me to pick another one....All 5 of us had some obvious issues with the outcomes- from missed edges and corners to smudged polish- none of us were that impressed. The pedicure chairs didnt even have a massage option! Yes, its a beautiful interior and very chic, but its really not worth the price. My experiences at Season nail and spa on Rosewood have been fantastic and its much more budget friendly!

My sister loved it! Got her a massage for her birthday and the woman that did her massage was AMAZING! I will be taking my mother there as well!

I’ve been here twice and both experiences were wonderful. My second experience was with Latasha, and I had a Swedish Massage. Omg it felt amazing and Latasha was very professional!!! I definitely will be going back very often. Also if u are looking for a great Massage Therapist , Latasha is definitely the one!!

After reading how unapologetic your replies are to the unfavorable reviews, I’m not coming with any expectations of you doing anything but I want other possible customers to know how much this salon has gone down. I’ve been there twice before today and left very satisfied. However today while in town from MN and looking forward to sharing the wonderful experience with my sister I left, instead, vowing to never return to this salon. From the poor and unprofessional masseuses who were very cold and unfriendly to the uncaring receptionist who blamed us for being caught in traffic to make in time for our appointments, today’s visit was absolutely HORRIBLE. Not only will I never give them my business again but I do not recommend it to anyone!!! Not sure if it’s new management or what but it has gone down from a 5star salon to a poor business that isn’t worth receipt off another penny of my business.

I was a longtime client of OCCO until today. I had a scheduled appointment and arrived 10 min early. The tech referred to me as “Claire” and later said she had me confused with another client having a massage.She then proceeded to tell me that due to a scheduling conflict, I would not be receiving my full service today which was gel removal & gel pedi. Stated I could only get the gel removed & a regular pedi. So, I began to leave and said to the staff “you would rather have a client leave due to a scheduling conflict than make time?” The tech stated “I’m sorry, I just don’t have time today.”This could have been communicated to me days before the service either my email or phone call so I wouldn’t have to make last minute changes to my day.And to respond to the owner’s comment below: This was not booked incorrectly by me. It was a scheduling issue with your techs.

OCCO is hands down the best spa in Columbia. My favorite combo is the vista which is a treat including a facial, mani, and massage. I’ve never left OCCO and not felt relaxed and rejuvenated. The aesthetics in the facility are fantastic and the staff really care about their jobs. Many have been there for years which shows it’s a wonderful place to be.

My son gave me a devine spa pkg as a gift, which includes a 60 min massage, a 60 min facial and a mani/pedi. It is a 3 hour treatment. On the day of my appt. I was feeling under the weather and called to reschedule. I was told that it would cost an additional 50% to reschedule. The pkg orig cost $200, so that would have cost an additional $100. Needless to say, I didnt reschedule. When I arrived I was given a face shield and told I would need to wear it when I came back for the mani/pedi. The massage from Latasha was amazing. She was kind and I felt totally relaxed when she was finished. I was brought back to a little waiting area and waited for 20 mins. The waiting room was freezing. I dont think they have heaters in the back of the building. A girl came in and said she would be doing my facial, but didnt give her name, I was led to another room. It was also freezing in there. Again while waiting for the girl to return to the room, I received a phone call. I had been on the phone for about 5 min, when the girl returned. I motioned that I was on a call. She came back about 3 min later and began the facial. It was a very quick and she left the room very quickly after the treatment. I looked at the time and noticed it had only been a half hour facial rather than an hour. I asked the girl at the front desk why my facial had only been a half hour. She abruptly told me to put on a mask, I told her I could not wear one, she again insisted I put one on. I asked to speak to the manager. She said she was on her way and would be there in 5 min. and told me to put a mask on or leave. I said I would wear the face shield and do the mani/pedi. She said the person doing it was with another client. So I waited outside the building for another 35 min. Then a young girl aggressively approached me and asked what the problem was. I told her I was asking why the facial was only a half hour. She said it was because I was on the phone and used the time. I showed her the call log and pointed out that it was an 8 min call taken before the girl arrived in the room. She told me I was also not wearing a mask and they will deny me service if I dont wear it. Haa, how can I wear a mask when getting a facial? She said they would charge my son the ala carte price and told me to leave. I asked if she was going to charge for the whole hour facial or half hour. She said she was charging for the full hour. I said I thought this was a terrible experience and asked if she would just charge for half hour. She told me to leave and called the police. When they arrived she told them to charge me with trespassing. He asked why and she said that I was disobeying the Governors mask mandate. He told her it was not a mandate and that if it was a salon guideline, she would have to have signs posted. I have never been treated with such disrespect for asking a question. After doing some research, the plump blonde that said she was the manager, isnt even the manager.I am posting an edit to my review after reading the owners reply. You will do yourself a great justice to stop lying. I was not threatened to be arrested or forcibly removed. You have not provided videos. If you are videoing your clients, I am having you investigated, many of your services require a person to dress and undress. It appears that a couple of your staff have been well trained by your poor people skills. I am not the only one who has noticed this. OCCO spa has gone downhill since this newer ownership

I loved my first experience at Occo! I have blonde hair and wanted to be more dimensional, she did that for me! I went from being a gross yellow color to a cool, multi toned blonde. I’m so happy with it. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, I loved the music.. Best of all, the prices for an upscale salon like Occo were the best I’ve seen. I couldn’t be happier and Gen is definitely my new stylist. Thanks girl!

My brother gifted my mother a one-hour facial for the holidays. However, the employee only ended up giving her a 30 minute facial (blamed it on my mom taking a 5-min phone call). She asked the manager why it was cut short and they handled it very terribly and even kicked her out. This was by far the worst experience we’ve had at a spa. My mother is a very hard-working woman and hasn’t had a spa treatment in a while. Very sad.

I have been a client for Years!!! Yusi is incredible for nails and Karla Kash is an amazing Esthetician! Also, all their massage therapists are incredible! Adam is phenomenal for special techniques to help with stress and back pain. OCCO has fabulous customer service! They go above and beyond 100% of the time. I’m always offered a mimosa in a real champagne flute when I am there on a Saturday! 🍾 🥂 #SuperPosh

This is my “Go To” for salon services and they never disappoint! I have had service by most of the nail techs here and they are all AWESOME! OCCO is first class in my book and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I highly recommend!

The experience here is luxurious. Raven is one of the best massage therapist. My only con to this business would be that they dont have a massage membership service but they still deserve a 5 star rating.

I used to be a client at Urban Nirvana Day Spa, have also been to Tonic, and a few other places, until I received a gift card to Occo Skin Studio and I will never go anywhere else ever again! Occo is incomparable to other spas in this area and the facials and massages have never let me down. I always leave feeling wonderful and I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves to get pampered. Absolutely lovely experience from the time you walk in to the time you leave. And definitely the most beautiful spa I have ever been in, the décor is awesome.

When I attended college in SC, I visited Cece for acne facial treatments once every other week for almost 6 months. She was incredibly supportive and went above and beyond to provide the best care for my skin. I am completely acne-free now, thanks to the Face Reality products and others that were recommended by Cece. If I still lived in SC I would continue to have regular appointments at OCCO. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and relaxing environment!

This was the best spa experience EVER!! I received a Swedish massage by April and a facial by Taylor. SPEECHLESS!!!!!! My faith has totally been restored in Excellent Customer Service. These ladies have skills. One word....WOW!!!!

Just read Lindsey Popioleks review and my story is identical but Ive been going there for years and they not only lost one but two of my appointments. And in the past Ive had to cancel one of my credit cards after it was compromised and OCCOs was the last place I used it...you do the math.I highly recommend The Nail Nook. Great find!

Sad that I had a bad experience here. I really liked this place! I went in for a couple of appointments. The masseuse was sick and coughing during my massage, and the esthetician who did my facial was rough and disregarded my comments about my skin care routine and said “ this will sting a little.”I am bummed I won’t be going back here!

This spa is full service and is very clean and professional. My first experience here was awesome! I have struggled with acne my entire life, tried everything, and I go to a dermatologist. My ethnitician Kay was amazingly knowledgeable and has really tackled this battle of acne with me. I feel confident and my skin is embracing its natural glow. Their products arent through the roof either as far as pricing. I am going back for a second acne facial and peel in 3 weeks and I cant wait!

Today was my first visit to Occo. I had a facial with Karla and she was amazing! I felt very comfortable and she explained everything that she did. I will definitely be returning! Very satisfied.

Had an amazing facial there a few months back! Love the service I received. However i have had two manicures, 1st one amazing, 2nd not so much. Pleae dont answer your phone or rush through a service that is paid for and meant to be relaxing. For the priced paid i expect more from a spa. I could be 1 of 20 in a salon run by someone else and receive just an overall better manicure foe a few bucks less and not get the spa experience that Occo promotes. Have a word with your staff, all very friendly but work is work and personal can be handled outside not while you are painting my nails. Front desk service could be a bit more welcoming and friendly; not so robotic. With more day spas and salons popping up in the Vista service is key to retaining ur clients; be aware of that.

This place has gone downhill. All the great hair stylists are gone and it’s not the same. After complaining that my lash lift was rushed and didn’t work, all they did was tell me the person who did it, so I don’t go to her again instead of fixing it or redoing it. But really I will just not be returning anymore. Time to find somewhere new!

I could go in with a disaster on my head and still walk out looking perfect thanks to Emily at Occo! I’ve trusted Emily with almost pixie cut short hair to me growing it out now into a long bob. She’s also super personable and genuinely just likes getting to know people, even if you may only be in her chair once.

My first red flag was when they REQUIRED my debit/My first red flag was when they REQUIRED my debit/credit card information over the phone before I could book the appointment. When I asked why that was necessary, the girl on the phone said because if you dont cancel within 24 hours of the appointment or dont show up, they charge your card. So...they would have charged me $200 for no work being done? Crazy.I went in with chestnut brown roots and blonde tips (similar to an ombre), the perfect palette for what I was requesting. I asked them to do black roots into a red. I had atleast 10 example photos of black and red hair. The FIRST time she did my hair, it was dark red roots and coppers tips with lots of blonde showing through. Then they decide to reprocess and go darker; its tolerable...but nothing like I asked for. I will be sharing a comparison photo of what I asked for and what I got.I also asked for layers, but INSTEAD it hardly looks like I even got a trim. I also asked for bangs, which she cut dry, and they were sticking up all over the place. So she soaked them with product hoping to help lay them down, then used a flat iron. The bangs were incorrectly cut, I literally could have cut them myself. She took the hair and cut where I said I wanted the length to be. Very choppy and very thin bangs.To top it all off; poor customer report. Instead of chit chatting, they talk obsessively over product. I was told over the phone a deep condition was considered in the price of $175. I knew some play would happen because of how much color would be needed but the stylist said the deep condition is complimentary if you also purchase a take home mask which will run you $34.99 or you can do an application in the store for $15.××. I asked if this was included to the $200 she quoted me and she said it was not. It must have been obvious I wasnt considering additional products when she told me shed just go ahead and do it complimentary; but then she starts fast talking me about considering professional hair care products in referrence to their items.Ill admit, when you first get to the building its warm and adorable. Cute decor, cute as a button stylists and workers, they offer free mimosas (that i dont believe actually has alcohol in it...but even if it did, I didnt get carded, and im not old looking?) their products smell amazing. The girls were really nice about redoing my hair, I felt so embarassed that I even had to complain about my hair, but it is reLly unfortunate that even after a secind try it wasnt right, my hair is over processed, my scalp is raw, and my color and cut are terrible.I was even nice enough to still pay them the full amount plus a very generous tip, but I will NEVER go back.

I booked the occo signature pedicure and was very disappointed. I didnt see anything special about the pedicure. The chair was broken as well so I couldnt use the massage feature. I drove across town to come to occo and I paid $48. I couldve just driven 5 miles and paid $25 for a better pedicure and a working chair.

The worst manicure ever.... I have been to a lot of nail salons and had many manicures. Occo considers themselves an expert in the industry, and I expected services as good as your run of the mill nail salon but not worse. And this experience proved to be way worse... My fingers and cuticles are more dry than they were before the manicure. I have cuticle skin that was push on the nail but not removed. It now has gel polish on it and makes my nails look crusty. Additionally the gel polish was not painted on my entire nail. The edge of EVERY single nail is not painted. If this happens on one or two nails... Ok it happens. But this is EVERY single nail. I would expect a place like Occo to have high end GOOD quality services as you are paying high end prices. I wish Google allowed you to take a picture to post with reviews so that everyone reading this could see how terrible they look!!!

My experience with this spa was extremely horrible. Staff had little to no patience. I would not recommend this spa to anyone in the future, especially for lashes. As a gift someone arranged for me to get my lashes done. Not even a week later my lashes were flapping in the wind. Their products are not of high quality.

I have used Occo for several services over the last 5 years, but will not be using them in the future. I called to reschedule my appointment for today and was told I would be charged the full amount for not cancelling 24 hours in advance. Luckily, I had read their cancellation policy online. If you cancel less than an hour before your appointment, you will be charged the full amount. However, if you call more than an hour before your appointment, you will be charged 1/2 of the amount of the appointment. I was put on hold twice before a rather annoyed sounding young man agreed that yes, I was correct regarding the policy and I would only be charged the half rate, he then asked if I would like to reschedule. Uh, no. I dont think so. Who knows how many people have been unwittingly charged the full amount for a cancelled or rescheduled appointment because they didnt read the small print online. I am fine with complying with a clearly stated cancellation policy, but it seems penny-wise and pound foolish to extend that policy without flexibility to reschedules. Especially on a busy day with no other appointments available until I cancelled mine -- Im certain they filled that slot. I will no longer be recommending Occo to our guests.

4 of us decided to get Mani/Pedis and a massage. I tried to cancel my Mani/Pedi several days before the appointment because I couldnt get there at 1 due to previous plans. They refused. They wouldnt let me re-schedule, charged my friends credit card and charged me 20% gratuity on a service that I didnt have. I asked if I could then get a gift certificate for the service since they billed us and I was told no b/c I didnt give a 2 week notice to reschedule. We didnt even schedule the appointments 2 weeks in advance. I pointed out that the website says they only require a 24 hour notice and I gave them more than a 24 hour notice. I was told that a 2 week notice is required for groups of 4 or more. On top of that, the other girls scheduled a $40.00 Mani/Pedi and was charged $78 for it instead. My massage was ok, Ive had better but I think thats because I have tense muscles.

It was my first time there and Molli was outstanding! I had my first prenatal massage and there was not a moment that I felt uncomfortable. I will definitely be returning.

I have struggled with acne since my early teens. I am in my late 20s. I had given up all hope on having a clear face. I went in for my first appointment with CeCe Jan 5th and she provided me with so much information on how to better take care of my skin type. I noticed a difference after just one treatment. I then went back on Jan 13th for my second facial. I woke up this morning and couldnt believe that this was MY face! CeCe is very knowledgeable, kind and extremely helpful! I will be going back to her again. Also, this place is clean, the front desk staff are sweet girls and my overall experience is a 10! Thanks OCCO for saving my skin!

Absolutely amazing spa tucked right in the middle of downtown Columbia. I got a massage and a facial and came out feeling refreshed and relaxed. Definitely will be back and recommend to others!

I received a facial and brown wax. Both were professional. The facial was relaxing. My skin felt wonderful! Highly recommend!

Did not inform me of a $60 for nails and $20 for toes soak off fee for my gel polish to be removed. I had $200 worth of services done, so I’m not a cheapskate. Services was ok

I have been going to OCCO Skin Studo for approximately 7 months. I started going because Joi who has been doing my nails for past 5 or 6 yrs. or even longer, relocated there and I would have followed her anywhere because I love the way she do my nails and shes also a pleasure to be around. That is the only reason I kept coming back. I started to notice whlile I waited for Joi (this also includes my very first visit) that the young ladies who work in the reception area would come down to greet SOME off the customers but not ALL of us!! Not once has anyone spoke or asked me who I was there to see but my visit yesterday was the FINAL STRAW!!! When I walked in the door the receptionist looked me dead in the face but didnt budge...she waited until I went to Jois table and then came down and asked the white guy who I was sitting by if she could help him...Hmm! When I went to pay I asked if I could speak to one of the owners I spoke with Greg and I expressed my concerns to him but he made every excuse he could as to why his staff only greet CERTAIN people and before I left he typed up a sign that said...PLEASE COME UPSTAIRS...Instead of PROPERLY TRAINING his STAFF, he rather put up a SIGN!!!!! Yes they are allowed to run their business anyway they choose but for me...its the PRINCIPAL!!!!! I love Joi and I really hate to leave her but yesterday was the LAST DAY I will ever step foot in OCCO Studios. I dont spend my money where Im not welcomed!!!!

Rude staff. Ive never had a worse pedicure.The facialist was absolutely wonderful. She was the only one. Wouldnt recommend and wouldnt go back.

I have always loved the OCCO experience. The atmosphere is inviting and friendly. The services are the best in the area. I always look forward to my visits. If you are looking for a first class spa, look no further.

The atmosphere is good. My experience with the Esthetician could have been better. I pointed out an issue, the issue got worst after I left the facility.Lea was the Esthetician. I know its not the 1st time they issue could have been addressed.Could have been better, again it was the server not the provider.

Karen was so very attentive and thorough with her body massage! I brought my friend with me and we did our sessions in the same room, just need to call and ask for it. We both left feeling refreshed like newborns! :)

I had an allergic reaction that I ended having to be hospitalized for. My eye lashes fell off within two days and the customer service was terrible. They were rude, and un kind. I can tell that they haven’t had a lot of experience

Getting a massage appointment was easy, parking is just left of the door, they have wine, water, coffee while you wait , and the massage and experience was wonderful. Def a must.

I only left one star because I had too!!!! I had an allergic reaction to there products and my lashes didn’t last for 3 days!!!!!!! I requested to speak to a manager and a week later still nothing. Terrible customer service!!!

I came to get my lashes done on Thursday and the worker stopped 40 minutes before my appointment was suppose to end and she said it’s because she had to go get her child ...my lashes were half done and i asked to speak with a manger and they told me that one wasn’t in ...it’s been a week and i still have not heard from a manager

The salon provides poor customer service. The receptionist Brittany was rude and sarcastic with us when asked questions about the service.

Horrible experience. Brandon the manager is very rude. Do not leave a credit card on file with them. They will charge your card for services that are not rendered stating their cancellation policy. I will not return ever!
