Rock Of Ages Christian Restaurant & Nightclub

I just moved to the area and I had never heard of a Christian restaurant, nightclub and church before so that drew me in to check it out. So as soon as you come in everything is biblical which is wonderful. Now the waitress I had probably was a little irritated by my mother who can be a pest at times (She thinks everyone wants a comedy show lol) So my mother placed a order for chipped beef & gravy with biscuits and scrambled eggs. She didn’t like it at all but I honestly don’t even know why she ordered that to begin with. The eggs weren’t scrambled. They were just fried hard and cut up into pieces. I had a BLT with egg and cheese and home fries. I asked for the egg to be sunny side up and the eggs were over cooked and they just slapped a slice of cheese on the sandwich. The sandwich wasn’t too bad but you can tell they didn’t really put any effort into making the sandwich. The home fries were amazing!!! The rest of the staff was very nice and the pastor was very friendly. I might give them another chance without my comedian mother and try some lunch with them lol.

First time here. It was ok. A bit confusing to find. Not sure what area to park near at first. Once we figured it out we walked in. We were not greeted by anyone. Kind of walking in blind hoping for the best. There was about four tables of customers. Felt like they were all looking at us. We assumed it was a seat yourself type of place. We dont see a sign saying that. Maybe we missed it? I dont know. Sat there for a good five minutes with no recognition. A waitress finally gives us a menu and does that whole shebang.Food comes. I personally think mine double cheeseburger is great. A little greedy with the fries but whatever. My daughter couldnt finish her chicken tenders. Too much food for her. Other daughter wasnt impressed wither her gravy dish.On appearance with the place, I didnt know if I was walking into a shelter-type place when nobody greeted us. If this was a church we needed to be members of? Felt like a basement of some sort. I just dont know. Didnt catch the band. I suppose they are a night gig. I didnt ask

My boyfriend and I were visiting from out of town and met some family here for breakfast. Oh my goodness. Huge delicious portions, super friendly service and more than accommodating as the word spread we were in town and the number of people at our table grew.

I was a regular customer for several years, until I was hired at Rock of Ages to be a waitress 2 days per week. They pressured me into washing dishes for their restaurant for several weeks when their employees were calling off, showing up late, etc. I now require surgery to fix my thumbs that were stressed while Marshall, Krista & Eddie (the owners), who claim to be Christians, pushed me & other employees beyond their breaking point.From my 3 & 1/2 months employment with Marshall, Krista & Eddie, I witnessed them talk bad about their employees, customers, (yes, even those of you who waste your money frequently every week). Krista complains about tips that are not good enough, even when her service is mediocre & her attitude is down right nasty enough to run customers off. The kitchen staff is ignorant about any customer complaint.Butters, jellies, leftover coffee in the pot for days and every conceivable way of saving a buck is how these people operate. The condiments fall on the floor & other nasty areas, and the server is told to salvage it for the next unsuspecting customer.When they know the Health Department is coming around for an inspection, the employees are instructed to go against those regulations until they come around again.If you are looking for a restaurant who will provide you with fake hospitality & filthy food, look no further if you have found Rock of Ages.God bless yall if youre from out of town. Marshall and/or Krista will smile in your face, say the appropriate words to leave yall smiling as you walk out, then they will make snide remarks about yall when you leave.Any other restaurant in Cumberland would be better than Rock of Ages.Please, people, choose a fast food place over this restaurant!

What a great find this was for us! Great food, expansive menu, spacious dining area, and wonderful service. Reasonably priced. Very positive atmosphere. It has a true local hometown feeling, unlike the chain restaurants. I had an egg, link sausage, one HUGE pancake, and coffee. Try the Mennonite-made apple butter.

Excellent food and big portions. Breakfast is served until 2pm. Pancakes are HUGE! Good assortment of dishes to choose from fir any appetite.

Nice Christian concept. Great homemade bread and cheeseburger. Eggs were hard and not really scrambled. Neighborhood restaurant that appeals to down home folks.

Me and my sister went to have breakfast 1st time there and last time there ..... The gravy tasted like it was from a can or a bag ..... I got grilled home fries that was cooked grease a lot . My sister coffee was cold .she ask for scrambled eggs and got eggs like you would use for a omelet... She packed her food up and gave it to her dogs ... The meal was around 20.00 ... For both ... We felt that we was at a biker bar and the one waitress was rude .... Very bad place to eat ... Sorry thumbs 👎

I eat breakfast wi/h my husband and his brother on occasion. They eat there 4 to 6 times a week. I never had a bad meal from them. They have also brought breakfast home to me. Good ☕ coffee.

Food wasnt bad, reasonable prices. The staff was very nice, courteous, respectful. The gentleman that cashiered was a veteran, I absolutely loved talking with him.

I had the steak sub and it was absolutely delicious! The sweet tea was very good as well. Very friendly group of employees there as well. Will definitely be going back!!!

Limited but attentive staff. No time spent was unreasonable and the food was quite good; I had the cheesesteak sub that was one of the specials and although it was messy to eat it was good. I would enjoy coming back to try a breakfast item someday.

Probably the best restaurant breakfast that Ive had.

Very good food and excellent service. My favorite to go for breakfast. Very welcoming atmosphere where you are greeted with love. Brothers and sisters of Christ i suggest you visit this place if you are in the area because the spirit of christ is there and you can feel it.

Love this place for breakfast, the home cooked meals are delicious! The owner and staff are the nicest people! I recommend this establishment to anyone, you wont be disappointed!

Wanted to rent their facility for a family reunion. They quoted a price of $150 for 2 hours. Then, a week later they said it was $100 per hour. They were really nasty about the particulars of that. Lost a lot of potential customers. Way to go!

THIS PLACE HAS AWESOME FOOD AND TERRIFIC SERVICE!!! KRISTA IS THE BEST WAITRESS!!!! My family and I meet here every Monday for what we call brunch EVERYONE SHOULD TRY THIS PLACE OUT!!! YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOUVE BEEN MISSING!!!

Great service great people. This place is so good we take a 15 minute walk because we dont have a vehicle with 6 kids just to have lunch there. We truly love this place.

WOW, THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE EVER ATE HERE AND THE FOOD WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD (DELICIOUS ). THE WORKERS ARE EXTREMELY NICE, JOYFUL, BUBBLY AND YOU CAN HEAR THEM SINGING TO THE MUSIC, I JUST LOVE THE ATMOSPHERE, MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE FAMILY AND YOU CAN DRESS DOWN AND NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT WHAT PEOPLE THINK.
